Worst part about the crowd strike thing is ppl that havnt touched a single line of code making the worst takes known to man and getting 3k likes and when you try to correct them they call you a "tech bootlicker"

now that I've hacked both my 3DS and Vita I can say, while all the people who take the time to make guides online have been nothing but kind and helpful, there is such a difference in expectations between the two communities lol. When I wanted to make custom themes for my 3DS there were so many community-built tools available for the computer to help you put things together while having basically zero technical knowledge. I try to do the same for my Vita and the guides I do find are like "anyway so obviously you know XML" and just go from there like they haven't already lost me

#was fighting for my life last night trying to figure out a plugin that lets you change the text on bootup #like where the epilepsy warning would usually go it now displays my contact information in case my vita gets lost #really good and easy to do once i figured it out #but it was so hard to find a guide that jist told you straight up what you actually needed to do #i had to download notepad ++ and encode it which i need someone to tell me to do lmao don't assume i know that please #reilly.txt

I need tech help friends!!

I got this laptop from a dear friend. When I got it the OS wasn't functioning properly. I tried to do a system reset. I tried hard reset and everything failed and now it's stuck on a loop for the loading screen at bootup.

My sister gave me a usb to try booting and reinstalling Windows but it's NOT working. The usb has many other files on so I think maybe that's the issue?

I can't remove anything from it and I can't boot from it. Idk what to do. It's in perfect condition otherwise and I'd hade to just discard it. Please help!! I don't know what to do.

I may love Penelope Garcia but I am definitely not her.

This is about my TV head project btw-

Trying to modify/work with Linux while having no idea of how it works is like. The weirdest thing I've done. I feel like any time I touch my little RPi minicomputer I'm doing surgery with google and a pair of kiddie safe scissors, and an extreme amount of caution. Like I know that one wrong move can kill this thing, but also the OS has GOT to be more stable than that, it's meant for hobbyists after all.

And at the end of it instead of doing what I intended I learnt about six new things about code and Linux that I never intended to use o(-(

#all I need now is for my one program to run as root on bootup #as soon as I turn on the power I need it to run. then I'm good #everything else is going acording to plan-ish #interestposting #comedyposting #linux
