Men are allowed to choose what to wear without worrying about being raped. If women do choose to wear what they want and do get raped, and possibly get pregnant, they can’t always make the decision about their own bodies. Men still have a right to decide what happens inside of a woman’s body.

Less than half of rape accusations even get to COURT. You actually think that a rape allegation can ruin a man’s life, when there are women who genuinely went through those traumatizing experiences and possibly have PROOF and don’t even get to court? Those fake accusations (which still are only the case maybe 1% of the time, by the way) will not get very far and will not make any impact. But the real impact that happens to raped or assaulted women WILL stay with them for the rest of their lives. Undoubtedly. Those accusations will not stay with that man forever.

Honestly? I thought you were trolling for a second. Men are allowed to wear shorts and not wear tops if they want to. They can show their nipples off for the world to see and nothing will happen to them. Men can walk down the pier, beach, or even down the STREET with flip flops and shorts and nothing will happen to them. They will not be catcalled, harassed, or fearful for their lives. If a woman wears a swimsuit at a beach or pool where she is swimming she will be catcalled or harassed. It is celebrated because it is far braver. Women’s bodies are still policed.

Back when women wanted basic rights like working and not being beaten, I was okay with it, since it benefitted me. But now that they want to be truly equal and walk down the street with no bras or showing their nipples, I think this has all gone too far. I’m willing to give them some rights, but I think now that they want to be president and all that, they should calm down.

You can claim that’s what you want, but the fact that you made your original post proves that you do not want men and women to be equals. You want them to exist in ‘harmony’, where women still benefit men. You want to live in the 70s (since you claimed that feminism wasn’t needed past 60) before women were allowed to have credit cards without their husband’s signature. You want them to co-exist peacefully as long as men are still slightly superior.

Of course. And because I am not a coward, and not ashamed of my views, I am willing to post it. Out of respect, I cut out certain parts and didn’t reply to every word of yours.

This is not ‘my side of the story’. This is real life. This is what’s happening in this world. Where women are still actively being censored and silenced. Decisions about women’s bodies are made without having them in the conversation.

Like I told you in my original message, ‘if women told men that the next 40 presidents would all be women, they would flip. there would be rioting and lootings about inequality. but that's exactly what equality would be. i respect you for expressing your opinion even though i certainly don't agree with any of it. i think you have a very outdated way of thinking, thinking that we don't 'need feminism' anymore, because you want women to protest and shout for equality, but you're tired of it now so you want them to stop. that is not equality.’

Like I told you in my original message, ‘we still need feminism when women can't make decisions on their own bodies in the 21st century, and that's in the more modern countries, not even bringing up the fact that in so many places in the world genital mutilation is still legal and common. breast ironing happens in the UK to young girls when they start growing breasts. their mothers chose to iron them down so they look unappealing to protect them from men sexualising them as soon as they grow up.’

I don’t think you listened to what I wrote, so I suggest you read it again. You pick and choose what you want to see, but that doesn’t mean that what you choose to ignore doesn’t exist.
