Alright new AU idea.

I deadass thought of this immediately after watching the TADC pilot.

I don’t have a name for this AU but it’s an alternate timeline at the end of Deltarune chapter 7 where Kris and Susie are in TADC in which I’m definitely not making this on Scratch or anything…

It’s kinda why I made this image:

TL;DR:

No more dark worlds, Asriel came back from college, but through them though Kris managed to make a friend, Susie. And even after finally getting rid of the SOUL, Kris and Susie continue to be friends. One day, they are hanging out at Kris’s house and finding weird things under their bed while Asriel is studying. Kris and Susie find two old headsets and decide to put them on, and I think you know what happens next…

MAIN STORY:

End of Deltarune chapter 7

After the day is saved permanently. Kris and Susie return to the light world.

(I do think something big would happen in chapter 7, but being a fan of Toby Fox, I think the last light world scene, if there is one, will just be normal with a slight twist)

Asriel has came home from University and just as Kris is about to walk home

*Bright lights shine from the inside

!Omori AU Dump! pt. 1

This is an AU dump for A Bouquet of Rotten Diphylleia, made solely by me. I will also post all chapters here once I finish and re-edit them, that way those who don't use Ao3, or don't like Ao3, can read it.

This is basically going to be one of five(?) large AU dumps that I do for ABoRD. I don't exactly plan to continue the series, which is why I'm making this, just for anyone who might be curious of the lore.

This AU mainly derives from the fact that Mari committed suicide, and was not killed by Sunny, nor framed by Basil.

Sunny and Basil were the two who found Mari's hanged body the week of the recital, which still kind of links the two through her death. Sunny blames himself for Mari's commitment considering the fact that he had been the one not wanting to do the recital. Doesn't help that Sunny was the only one who knew that she had tried to commit a year before and had only been unsuccessful because Sunny had managed to stop her before she could. (She tried to drown herself in the lake, but Sunny had found her at the lake's edge.)

Sunny had created whitespace first to desensitize himself from the outside world. He hated the thought of Mari having actually committed. Hated the thought that he could've been the cause. He decided to turn to his own mind, where he could make up delusions and fantasies. He basically altered all of his recollections and memories of Mari, making her a "happier" person overall. Much more like canon Mari is in the game, minus the numerous Something references and underlying sense of "this isn't right" the game gives.

After making himself a blank-ish slate, he created Headspace. He realized that he himself was starting to feel overall worse and needed something to drive him away from the thoughts of self-harm and suicide. He feels guilty feeling those emotions since it always reminds him of Mari, and he knows it isn't exactly a healthy way to think.

Whitespace quickly turned into "Grayspace" an AU adaptation of his faltering mentality. He knows he is repressing everything, knows that it isn't right. It makes him feel guilty, which makes it difficult for him to disconnect from reality. He's very aware that he is mentally messed up, and that in itself creates a loop of relapsing.

Blackspace is where he goes when he has a particularly bad relapse, of which he's very aware of its presence. He knows Stranger and the Somethings, even talks to them. This differs from the in-game interactions where he like... never really interacts with them. Omori is also a Blackspace entity, mostly his voice of reasoning, and is not the vessel he uses for himself within Headspace. (Sunny is Sunny)

Basil visits during his years of isolation, creating a sort of co-dependency on the flower boy's side. He feels like he can really only confide in Sunny with most things considering the secrets they share between each other. (Sunny telling Basil that Mari had been suicidal for years. Basil confessing that he thinks about committing more often than not. Sunny telling Basil about headspace. Basil updating Sunny on everything that happens in Faraway. And more.)

At some point Sunny does re-emerge, about when he's 17 in this AU, and tries to catch up in his academics. He's able to finish all of middle/high school within two years since Basil had helped Sunny with his education during his Hikikomori phase. They both got back together with Aubrey and Kel during the time Sunny began to catch up in school, of which they all made a pact to wait for Sunny to finish school before they would all then go to college together.

During college, this dependency between Sunny and Basil grows into a twisted mangle of vines, where they eventually end up going to college. They room together for money reasons... and their festering dependency on one another.

The fic for this specifically takes place during the college phase, meant to show the bigger impact the trauma and dependency had on the two of them. Aka, how Basil's sickness had really only set in after Mari's death due to stress, anxiety, and the overall lack of self-care. (It's hinted at that Basil doesn't take his prescriptions.) And that Sunny's become a less emotional person who clings onto Basil for support. (You can see this in Sunny's POV, as he focuses very intently on Basil no matter what happens. He's less focused on his own emotions and words, and is much more intent on dissecting Basil's every movement.)

Part 2 will focus on the details of Mari and Sunny's relationship, and why she had even committed in the first place.

Part 3 will focus on Sunny and Basil's growing dependency for the other over the year.

Part 4 will focus on Whitespace, Grayspace, Headspace, and Blackspace, both creation, design, and interaction-wise.

Part 5 will explain the college segment and A Bouquet of Rotten Diphylleia, will also include the official ending to this AU. (Hint: It's not a happy one.)

Damn I totally meant to get Chapter 2 out today, but I got hella distracted while trying to write it. Disappointed in myself, so I’ll just write some lore for A Bouquet of Rotten Diphylleia (ABoRD) instead.

Mari committed suicide in this fic, aka Sunny and Basil did not kill her and did not frame her death as a suicide

Basil did take Sunny’s eye in this AU, even doing it in a similar fashion as he had in the game (But it was a lot more messier, and was definitely not for the same reason)

Basil has a poor immune system, hence the whole start of the fic: Him being sick, and in bed… He is sick for other reasons too though, some of which are definitely more mental than physical

Sunny isn’t exactly fine in this fic either. I’ve tried to lean more into his selectively mute side, with a more purposeful reason behind it. That being for the reason of emotional suppression. Something he’s gotten fairly good at.

Basil has pierced ears

Sunny has an accurately described drinking problem (At least it’s based off my personal experiences so… Mostly accurate???)

The flower mentions in the fic have their own double-sided meaning, but they’re not like essential to know or look up. I chose them for a reason though.

The flowers on Basil’s windowsill aren’t under-watered, they’re actually over-watered

Sunny has self-harm scars on his forearms, hence the sentence: “Every little dark line that trailed up the highway.” It’s a reference for the saying “Across the road for attention, down the road for results.” Just a small twist on the words though, of course. (Please don’t do this)

Contrary to Sunny’s, Basil’s mentioned scars are actually from their fight.

Anyways, some of this is mentioned, some of this isn’t, and won’t ever be. I have been thinking about turning it into a full-on series since I don’t do artwork or anything of the sort. I also feel like straight rambling like this will get hella boring real fast.

PHANTOM THIEVES OF HOPE - A Danganronpa X Persona 5 Story.

//I apologize for the lack of updates today, and I guess I should let you know that I had a job interview today which took up most of my time. I didn’t want to prioritize the blog over my own wellbeing so I ducked out today.

//But in return, I’ve decided that today will be the day that I unveil my next big DR related project, being Phantom Thieves of Hope.

//Now that I’ve finalized the party for the Persona 5 X Danganronpa AU, I got inspired by the work I put out and decided that I will create an entire fanfic storyline for it.

//I considered doing this for Murder Drones too, but since Murder Drones isn’t finished and not all the secrets have been revealed yet, I need to put that on hold, but given that I love Danganronpa and love Persona 5 just as much, this was something I was super excited to do.

//This story will be where all my other storyline projects are, and will be posted on WattPad. However, depending on how people like it, I’m considering letting it be my first ever Archive Of Our Own fanfic too.

//These will be posted on the fic itself once I upload it to the website, and I will be posting regular updates for it here on the blog as well, but if you’re interested to read it for yourself, there are some guidelines and important information below that I will list for you if so desire to read it:

#1: The story takes place in it’s own original timeline focusing on Danganronpa’s characters.

//To make it easier to understand what I mean by this, this is not a crossover that features characters from the Danganronpa series ONLY. It’s not a story where the Ultimate’s meet the Phantom Thieves, or where the Phantom Thieves steal the hearts of some of the Hope’s Peak students and characters.

//Take Dreams of Acedia for example, which features Joker as well as the cast of Omori. This isn’t like that.

//Instead, the story will feature the main protagonists of the mainline Danganronpa series as Hope’s Peak Academy students, all of whom change the hearts of the rotten people around them in hopes of averting many of the tragedy’s that were displayed within the core series.

//As for the setting, it’s within the same timeline as Danganronpa 3′s Despair Arc, with a few changes. For example, to canonize the V3 characters, they are first years in Hope’s Peak, while the 78th Class are 2nd Years and the 77th Class are third years.

//As for the DR3 class, they are also students at Hope’s Peak, but part of Class 77B instead.

#2: The plot follows similar story beats to the original Persona 5.

//The story is primarily told from the perspective of Makoto, who takes Joker’s place as the protagonist in the story.

//Any and all similarities between this story and the original plot of Persona 5 are more than likely intentional, as I based the original game’s plotline and story beats off of this one.

//For example, there are 8 Palaces in the story, Mementos is relevant, the team gets acquainted with the other world after meeting a weird cartoon animal, and Makoto has his own fair share of confidants from all 5 iterations of the series that he can meet and greet and grow from.

//Obviously it’s not a copy/paste, since the characters will need to have their own conflicts and stories, but the similar progression of plot to the original game is intentional.

#3: This fic is UNNASSOCIATED with any of my other works/the works of others.

//Whether or not Survivor is the first of my stories or the only one of my stories that you’ve checked out or not, it’s important to know that DRSurvivor’s plot and characters are completely separate from PToH. The same applies to all of my other Danganronpa-related works, including ReCaptured and ReProgrammed.

//In summary, this means that Kuripa Kurafto is NOT present in this story. Nor are any of his friends or any other OC’s from this blog, like Matta or Uchui.

//And yes, I know that I made an artwork of him, but that was just because the original art was made for the followers of this blog, who would KNOW him.

//The story however, WILL feature original characters that I’ve created. For example, the third Palace ruler (who shall not be named) is 

//Of course, it also goes to say that anyone else who has made a fic like this, and any similarities between the two, are purely coincidental.

//Just to manage your expectations, much like with Survivor, there will be some personal ship and romance elements in the story, most notably Naegiri, Saimatsu and Tokomaru, but only the far latter will really come into play with the main story.

//Also, as for Hajime, this story will be more Hinanami geared than Hinazumi.

Day 5 Jo (Female!Kel)/Parsley (Fem!Basil)

Prompt: Headspace/AU

Princess Sally was the little jewel of the Omori Kingdom. Her older brother, Hero was proud of her.

Hero's partner, Mari, took loving care of her.

And the three fairies who looked after thekingdom had come to give her a gift for her first birthday.

The first fairy was Sunny, a mysterious but caring fairy. She gave him the first gift to her, to be as beautiful as Mari.

The second fairy was Aubrey, a strong fairy but with a good heart. She gave him the second gift to her, to be as tough as Hero.

The third fairy was Parsley, a shy but kind fairy. She gave him the third gift to her, to be as kind as Hero and Mari.

But when the gifts were delivered a cloud of darkness appeared. From there came the evil fairy of the kingdom, Jo.

It was said that this fairy had a rotten heart and hated the kingdom.

Under the cloak, brown, almost black eyes scanned the room.

Her frozen heart skipped a beat when she saw Parsley but her determination was strong and she went straight to what she had come for.

This part details the co-dependency between Sunny and Basil. Mostly how it developed, and how it has affected one another in the long run.

Continuing from Mari's Commitment

Sunny ends up shutting himself in like he does in the main game. This is mostly because of how badly his emotional stability had just ended up crashing after the incident. Aubrey becomes less of her innocent self, further pressuring Sunny to keep inside. Kel reaching out and trying to be more forceful with everyone hanging out, also does not help.

Basil ends up breaking himself off from everyone from this fact, telling Kel that he's not being considerate for Sunny, and that he wouldn't understand the turmoil Sunny is going through. For Aubrey, Basil berates her for being selfish and self-centered.

Since Basil and Sunny had both seen Mari before anyone else had, they both rely on one another for support. This need for trust also stems from the fact that Basil had been aware of Sunny's situation, Sunny trusting Basil enough to even confide in him in the first place.

(There are more nitpicky things to strengthen this bond between them, but I won't be detailing any of that here.)

Basil tries to visit Sunny after the incident, and because Sunny hasn't exactly found escapism in sleep or really developed WS, GS, HS, or BS yet, Basil is able to reach out and worm his way in.

For the first few weeks Basil visits Sunny rather often, keeping him updated on school and bringing in his schoolwork/homework for him.

After a month and a half or so, there's a day Sunny doesn't answer, and Basil gets worried. He keeps coming back every day, eventually going earlier in the day to avoid Kel and Aubrey (and others) from questioning his actions.

After a week or two of this, Sunny does eventually answer. Basil is really worried and starts crying. Sunny expresses confusion, to which Basil explains that he thought Sunny might've committed to. Sunny explains that he hadn't heard the doorbell.

This is supposed to highlight the point that Sunny has now developed WS and HS and has slept through the doorbell every time.

Essentially this turns into Basil visiting about once a week, very early in the day, on Fridays. Basil eventually stops bringing schoolwork for Sunny, but he does tell/teach the fundamentals of what they had learned that week. (This is to help serve the factor that Sunny does eventually graduate high school, and moves onto college, where ABoRD takes place.)

Sunny and Basil don't really talk openly to one another, usually sticking to basic topics. It's become a routine for Basil to visit, and for Sunny's body to wake him up around 3 am on Friday mornings. Sometimes they play games together. Sometimes they watch shows. They both don't discuss Mari, or what Sunny does when Basil isn't there.

Basil has suffered throughout this whole time too, so when Sunny eventually gets out of the house, it makes him feel overprotective. Basil still isn't a huge fan of Aubrey and Kel, but he more or less "tolerates" their presence as long as Sunny is there.

This leads to the fact that Basil doesn't really talk to Kel or Aubrey throughout ABoRD, and is more or less just focused solely on Sunny. Sunny has taken the observer stance as well, kind of reciprocating Basil's toleration, but in a friendlier, more quiet way of doing so.

Basil and Sunny's co-dependency in ABoRD has been made to highlight the grittier details of their relationship. Basil and Sunny love each other, but it definitely is NOT a healthy relationship. Really the only thing holding Basil back from doing self-mutilation is Sunny. And the only thing keeping Sunny attentive and active is Basil.

Example for Sunny: Sunny never really focuses on himself throughout the entire time of his POV, and in some way it always rounds right back to Basil. (He's only got two somewhat major emotional scenes throughout the entirety of the fic.) If you pay attention to the fact that every paragraph could actually be from Basil's POV, you'd realize just how focused Sunny is on Basil.

Example for Basil: All the gross shit he says about himself, he doesn't use for Sunny. And if he does, he never really means it. It's always in a choked fit of rage where he's throwing fit. It's like a child having a tantrum. They'll say they hate something when they don't actually mean it. They just don't want the other to be right, or smug about it for that matter. This is a little harder to pick up, but the cues are there, I promise you.

!Omori AU Dump! pt. 2

The second part of the AU dump for A Bouquet of Rotten Diphylleia. Part One can be found here, though it isn't required to read before this.

Mari never dedicates herself to the piano for perfectionist reasons, but rather parental association. Mari had struggled to find a proper hobby and had poor mental health. This mostly started when she got her knee injury, which in this AU happened indefinitely from Softball. She wasn't able to do a lot of the things she loved since it limited her physical ability. (Soccer, Basketball, Running, Long walks, prolonged usage of leg, etc etc.)

She became severely depressed because of that until she was taken to therapy, and eventually got into playing the piano after a numerous number of sessions. This fact made Sunny himself feel closed off, as Mari was always occupied with other people because of this, and began to feel cut off during this period of time.

Sunny eventually expressed an interest in playing with Mari, which led into him getting the violin for Christmas, as Sunny had confided in Basil, telling him that he felt forgotten and left out ever since Mari had injured her knee.

Mari and Sunny began to get closer because of this. Mari pushed Sunny during their rehearsals, leading Sunny into a constant state of resentment toward Mari, the piano, and the violin. Mari noticed this, and that feeling of worthlessness returned just as she began to "get better."

Mari eventually felt so much stress for the recital, with crushing feeling of self-hatred, and feelings of "I ruin everything," and "My own brother hates me because of what I did," and so on and on.

This leads to her commitment...

With Sunny and Basil eventually finding her later in the day. Sunny waiting for Mari to get ready, as he had been hanging out with Basil that day. He gets a little worried, and the two eventually set off to find her. Starting their unhealthy feedback loop of co-dependency.
