Hello I'm back, more Streamer AU brainplagues, but this time it's Legato is a mukbang streamer and he often invites friends and other streamers over for mukbang parties. One is those hot pepper challenges and his streaming partner is tapping out and dying on the floor but Legato is just turning redder and sweating, completely stonefaced in the grip of the Carolina Reaper chip. Perfection.

I haven't placed Legato in my Streamer AU yet, but this is a pretty good idea! I was bouncing around whether I'd have him as one of Nai's coworkers, or former classmates, or friends or something or the other. I haven't quite figured out where to place him yet.

But him having the most insane, stone-faced spice tolerance is very funny to me.

Favorite color: Too many! But I do like colors that "match" with each other, like red and black, blue and silver, etc.

Currently reading: The Cleric Quintet by R.A. Salvatore. I loved it as a teen and am still enjoying it now--there's a lot of things, like crises of faith, that I understand more as an adult.

Last song: My World, Your World from Magic-kyun! Renaissance (I don't have an obsession /s), or Dies Irae. Not sure which came first ^^;

Last series: Kamigami no Asobi (because the same script writer for Magic-kyun and Dance with Devils worked on this one too and I love seeing the progression. Also it's just fun)

Sweet, savory, or spicy?: Savory, I think. Sweet or spicy can veer too far into the extreme if I'm not careful, but savory is the most consistent. (I do love sweets though!)

Currently working on: A crossword puzzle, if that counts? But if not, Ligature. :D

Just don't tag or name it anything Overwatch or Character Name related and you should be Gucci. There's LOTS of OVW merch there that's been up for aaaaages because they followed the above rule.

In the notes of that post you proceeded to @ her, insult her twice, and act as if she purposefully tagged that post to demean the artist.

I don’t know if it was you who also sent the anon hate, but either way, this behavior is unacceptable. She made an honest mistake and you proceeded to react like this. You are not the original artist, so you have absolutely no right to react in this manner at all, but you ESPECIALLY do not have the right to be so rude and condescending to someone for an HONEST MISTAKE.

Mets is A+! I'm just frustrated in general with the fandoms obsession to turn Mercy into a manupulative, abusive medical genius because they hate her core character concept of angel/doctor/lawful good and less so at you specifically

I find the evil!Mercy theories interesting, but by canon I think she (and Symmetra) are the only ‘lawful good’ characters in the game (with most others being neutral good).

That being said, lawful good characters can be as morally complex as others -road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that. Not to mention the ‘to be lawful or to be good’ question that is likely to pop up with OW reforming, since Mercy seems to be on the side of the law (one of her lines being ‘Overwatch was disbanded for a reason’) but many of her old friends will be there, and Talon must be fought.

Ultimately, I think Angela Ziegler is a woman who always strives to do what is right, but who can make mistakes, especially when her drive and her impersonal viewpoint of her patients clouds her view.

first ever ship: Heero/Duo from Gundam Wing... they introduced me to fandom, to homosexuality, and to my having any interest in romance, really 😅 I'd read romance stories before, but I always fixated on a character and didn't care much for the relationship element until this, even in trashy Harlequin romance novels my mom used to get me in grade school because they were het. :|

last song: "Zion" from The Matrix Reloaded because it's my morning alarm 🤷🏻‍♀️

last film: ... probably Rise of the Guardians... or Encanto... I can't remember if I watched RotG again after Encanto... 🙈

currently reading: The Guardians of Childhood series, a cross stitch book, Howl's Moving Castle, and in theory The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, but I don't know where I put it, so I haven't picked it up in a few years...

currently watching: Two episodes of iZombie each Wednesdays with Rein. And technically, Giri/Haji. We wrapped up the series, then realized we skipped an episode, so I still need to watch that missed episode 6... 😅

currently consuming: Matcha in oat milk with a splash of vanilla syrup

They’re lovely, but they MUST be kept in a pot, or a raised bed, or on a good-quality leash with a chest harness, because mint and its cousins spread like… IDEK, like a rash. Like dandelions. They’re tough, hardy and highly motivated. Even a tiny root fragment will suddenly turn into a Mint Tree if you don’t tear it up. I swear I’ve seen new plants popping up from BURIED SCRAPS OF LEAF. Once they’re in the ground they establish a beachhead and spawn secretly, possibly through osmosis. I cannot advise you to stick a mint plant in the ground unless you are a bold and unconventional disciplinarian.

The joke is that after running around after the mint like a spaniel chasing a whack-a-mole for a year, Dr Glass then planted a plant that would do the same thing.

Great plants, hard to kill, keep them in a pot (ESPECIALLY where invasive)

Why the assumption that Mercy had an active role in what Reaper became? Her interaction line indicates she had no idea what he is. His line doesn't have a tone of accusation and is more of a sarcastic inquiry/rhetorical question; she had access to cutting edge medical military science, maybe she would have an answer.

I did say ‘depending of what exactly happened with Reaper’. I think it’s widely accepted fanon that she had something to do with his current state -but fanon isn’t necessarily canon. A lot of it is based on that line, which may just come down to people interpreting it differently.

I think it’s possible that she did, as she may well have been a first responder to the scene at the Swiss WP, and come across his body. If she did have anything to do with it, I highly doubt she would’ve had bad intentions.

I know everyone’s sick of Mercy meta by now, but to me, she’s someone who always has the best of intentions. She always does what she believes is right, but she’s not perfect, and she can make mistakes. @solrika put it better than me, but Mercy is a surgeon and a researcher -she never really has to deal with her patients on a personal level, and what she thinks is best from a medical standpoint might not be what’s best for them from a psychological standpoint. Accepting these mistakes is also probably hard for her, since she’s the best in her field, and likely ended up being a bit arrogant because of that. 

(and she is the best in her field -she’s a genius, no other way to put it)

But back to your original point -yeah, if it wasn’t an accusation it was most likely sarcastic. Even if Mercy could find an answer, I’m pretty sure Reaper would never ask for her help, and he certainly wouldn’t sit down in her medbay and let her run tests. It’s also possible that Talon/third party may have influenced Reaper post-explosion, and skewed his perception of certain events.
