I kid you not, when I saw the 2012 mikey babysitting rise kidos I js went "WHATTT" cuz I had the same concept in my head a couple of times, but especially whenever I hear the song "fine" by lemon demon for some reason??? anywho, HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN MY BRAIN, BAJSBSJDVDJRHRH

I'm HONESTLY surprised no one has done an au like this before (at least to my knowledge. omg I was listening to lemon demon and two trucks came on, and suddenly I remembered this story I made for an english class in 8th grade. I thought tumblr would like it, soooo here! (text shown below in case you can’t understand my writing). and yes, this is based on rumpelstiltskin lol.

pt 1

pg 1: Once in a big city, there lived a model and her family. The mother knew many studio and record people, and would always talk about her son and how good of a musician he was. One day, she was talking to the agents and said, “My son is such a good musician, he could make a song using any melody or instrument!”. The agents took note and went to her house, where they met the model’s son, Byron. “We want you to come with us, now.” the agents said, and took Byron to the record station immediately. There they handed him instruments and other tools for making music and told him, “If you don’t make up a melody for your song, we won’t let your mom be in this magazine.”. Byron loved his mom, and wanted the best for her, so he agreed. Nodding and promising they’ll be back later, the record agents Byron alone in the small music studio.

pg 2: Byron suddenly felt very overwhelmed, and couldn’t think of a good melody. “God, Satan… whatever will I do?” he said glumly, tapping his foot on the ground. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the room, and an odd creature appeared in front of him. The creature looked vaguely human. It had skin the colour of dark violets, and its eyes glowed a bright red. “Heya there homie! Heard you were looking for some help with those funky things, so I randomly appeared to assist ya!” the demon grinned. Byron was scared at first, but reluctantly told the weird devil his situation. After telling the story, it grinned and shook his hand. “Well, it’s nice to be your new business partner! The name’s Icky, and I’ll make you the next Sen, promise!”

pg 3: “W-what?! You’re actually gonna help me?” Byron shouted in shock. “Heya, calm down kid! I’m a demon, I could do anything I wanted! Helping a mortal with his musical fantasies is the least I could do.” Icky replied, laughter showing in his eyes. “Well ummm… thank you! Now, where should we start?”. Eventually, the two of them made up a catchy melody that almost anyone would love. “Ah, thanks so much! How could I ever repay you?” Byron told Icky, smiling. “Well, you should give me that shiny looking chain necklace.”. And without warning, it grabbed at Byron’s neck, trying to steal the necklace. “H-Hey!! Stop it! I’ll give you the necklace, just stop c-choking m-me!” Byron stammered, trying to fight back. Icky stopped choking the poor boy and leapt back. Byron then reluctantly took the necklace and gave it to Icky, who grinned.

pg 4: “Thanks pal! Oop, gotta scram now, bye!” it cackled, and disappeared. Just as Icky left, the door opened and the music agents appeared. “Are you finished yet?” “Y-yeah… here,” Byron replied, letting them listen to the melody. Immediately, they told him it was brilliant, and told him to think of lyrics now, using the same threat against poor Byron. Leaving him once again, Byron was left feeling more scrambled and sad. “Hey, ya dead or something?” a voice chirped from behind him. Whipping around, he saw Icky floating behind him, staring into his eyes. “No, they just want to make me more miserable by getting me to think of lyrics for the song,” Byron explained. Icky stared at him, then suddenly leapt in the air, flying around. “I know! I know! I know exactly what they should be!!” it squealed. “Well, what do you think the song should be about?” Byron asked.

pg 5: Icky stopped flying and sat floating in the air. “Hah, I have no idea! I just got excited for no reason!” it responded, grinning once again. “God, what am I gonna do with you?” Byron muttered to himself. Sighing, he discussed lyrics with Icky, and eventually made a song about a forbidden relationship between a demon and a human. And just like the first time, before the record people came to see the progress, Icky disappeared. Byron watched the record people go over the song lyrics, then nod to him. “Good good, now you gotta put it all together into a song to record,” the record people told Byron, “or else you know what’s gonna happen.”. And with that, they left Byron again. “Damn, those mortals are the worst. Going and threatening a poor, young, totally innocent soul! How cruel,” “I know Icky, it sucks,” Byron groaned, turning to Icky who had just reappeared. “So, can you help?”

It and Make a Move are the only songs of theirs I know lol. There are bands I like a lot but a huge percentage of my saved music is like one percent of any given band's discography because for a very long time I didn't actively seek out music other bands did and with few exception mostly listened to whatever just waltzed into view and that's still kinna my default mode.

I remember really being into Michael Jackson and Tub Ring when I was in my preteens or thereabouts, and then Blue Oyster Cult awhile after that. Blue Oyster Cult and Tub Ring are still very important to me, Michael Jackson is more difficult for obvious reasons but coincidentally all his songs on my playlist are covers - I swear I didn't even do that on purpose, I just really like those specific versions.

I was a huge fan of Hollywood Undead but Day of the Dead was a disappointment that deflated a lot of my interest.

I fell in love with Falling in Reverse around the same time and their first three albums before Radke leaned more into rap will always be a core part of who I am despite him betraying me personally as a trans woman with the things he's said.

MSI is more difficult - I loved them for years (having found them because they had a minor connection to Tub Ring) and then Jimmy Urine getting sued for what he did was pretty bad, especially since just before it happened I was describing to someone how his unique and distinctive voice in particular was a major part of their appeal.

The Orion Experience I discovered was the center of grooming allegations literally like a day or two after discovering them and being like "holy fuck this could be my new favorite band ever". I had to just sit there, slowly process the information, then take a deep sigh and resolve to separate the art from the artist.

But most stuff I like doesn't come with those issues.

I think if I were to list my "favorite" bands/musical artists, it'd be something like, in no particular order, BOC, Eminem, Poppy, Lemon Demon, Britney Spears, Three Days Grace, Tub Ring, and Ronnie Radke (which I phrase that way because my favorite of his is actually Situations from when he was with Escape the Fate). But that only gets across a very small slice of the music I like, you know?

For some reason I'm especially picky about rap. There are rappers I like, certainly, not only am I a huge fan of Eminem but - as unfortunate as it is in retrospect, the rap equivalent of FIR/MSI/TOE - getting real into Kanye in, I think, 2014-16? Somewhere around there? Was a lovely experience. But generally, I can give you a lot of rap I like and almost none of it is by the same artist.

Anyway, I started listening to Get Well specifically because I wanted to branch out because Make a Move inspired a character (or at least the direction I've taken her in, she was kinna a minor NPC before this) in my writing. She's a singer in a band and I was like, oh, in this universe Melody Priest wrote Make a Move and it was a really big hit for her band, the Gods of Pegāna.

i really love tally hall/miracle musical so um. dont be surprised to find them in a playlist of mine made after i started listening to them. the most commonly accepted theory is that its about someone being given electro shock therapy until they die/lose their mind, which (sort of) fits surge's story!!!

the song is about extreme body mods. which kinda fits surge i guess.

Anon omg yes. So i live and breathe music, ive got two music diplomas lol so when i say i live and breathe it, i do and i have too many thoughts about music so ill just give some i guess?

Being a classical musician and a metalhead is a combination for sure but here we are, im working on an arrangement for an orchestra right now before my meeting so this was good timing too :O

I love metal yes but i also like pretty much every genre out there, like i have Dolly Parton, the ICP, Musicals, Lemon Demon, BONES, Stevie Wonder and Mudvayne in the same playlist thats how much of a rollercoaster my music taste is pffft

I will say my favourite band is Primus. They just don't have a single track or album i dont love. For the longest time i couldnt pick a favourite artist but i had to conceded it was Primus the whole time lol

This album is truly one of a kind ranging from lemon demon(a.k.a Neil Cicreiga)'s amazing deep vocals to his up-tempo yet depressing songs such as Christmas will be soon(a song about replacing the original pagan traditions of Christmas in favor of the christan traditions) or Aurora Borealis( a song that's probably about a man who's stuck in a time loop of watching the world get destroyed on Christmas eve who has the chance to share it with a lover before his day restarts). Much like some his other albums this album is full of supernatural occurrences(all Christmas related) one notably being Cryptosanta( a song about a scientist who plan to do experiments on santa to make it Christmas everyday but he instead becomes Santa Claus). One song I haven't talked about is SAD which tackles the topic of seasonal depression, this song is probably the most depressing of the bunch as the narrator of the song feels helpless around christmas time, which is commonly known as the most joyful time of the year. The first track; Prelude to presents has no lyrics just a cacophony of humming and la la la's this doesn't take away from the track at all and infact enhances it leaving the listener in anticipation for more. Anyway all i wanted to say was this album fucking rocks and everyone song deserves a place in my personal Christmas hall of fame.

Tech Headcanons I have that make sense for some reason

He loves Lemon Demon (Crosshair introduced him to it and now they listen to it together on shifts)

Likes cinnamon candies

Loses stuff ALL.THE.TIME

He'll blame Wrecker for moving his stuff (Wrecker didn't touch it)

He's a bit uncoordinated cause of the googles

This has led to him bumping into stuff

He fell down the Maurader's ramp once

Crosshair and Wrecker found it hilarious

Loves psychology (He just finds it super interesting!)

Has a journal filled with information about plants and animals on different planets

Is really good at memorizing song lyrics

Apple juice enjoyer

Fidgets a ton

Really likes vanilla candy

Just lays on the floor sometimes (Echo tripped on him once. It hurt)

Has a lil notebook in his belt compartment for ideas cause if he doesn't write it down right then then it's gone forever

Echo headcanons I have that just make sense for some reason Pt.2

He likes the color blue (it reminds him of the good ole days)

He reads whatever he can get his hands on (Cook books, gardening magazines, the dictionary, you name it!)

Really likes things that glow

Is a plant boi

A really good baker (Makes amazing cookies)

Knows a ton of constellations

Sunbeams

Likes Mint tea

Dumps a pound of sugar in his Caf cause he hates the taste of the GAR brand

(Crosshair looked horrified the first time he did it)

Picked up some jokes from Fives (He'll tell them to Omega when she's sad)

Used to whittle (he managed to figure out how to do it with one hand)

Type to lay in the grass at night and look at the stars

The one who keeps in contact with everyone (Will message Rex like "Vod did you eat? No? Go eat now.")

Makes sure everyone stays hydrated

Not actually super grouchy all the time! He just hasn't gotten used to Wrecker's snoring yet!

Will absolutely freak out over old ships (Probably Skywalker's fault)

You know what would be great? A clone series. No not the clone wars. Something different. I'm thinking about something with the small moments in between fighting where they would all get to relax for a while. I'm thinking about the clones going out to the 79s to celebrate a victory and maybe getting a little too drunk and doing karaoke and coming back late at night with genuine smiles. The little moments where they would spar or talk or maybe even gossip. The clones chilling in the barracks and playing games that the generals taught them and losing sometimes and not caring because nothing is at stake right then. The clones painting their armor and getting tattoos to memorialize their fallen and remember special moments. The clones laughing and not worrying about the war. The clones out at night on the rare occasion they get leave and looking at the stars and just existing. The clones just being people and finding out what it means to exist even throughout the war. Finding out who they are and being there for one another. Just a show about the clones.
