So, you may have seen this reblog I made to the original post, and even OP poked in to say things got a bit misworded (no hate to them, it's super easy on the internet for that to happen) SO I am just going to break some stuff down here, and share my own password manager etc.
I'm also writing this so that OP doesn't have to keep going 'don't reblog this' because that feels straight up cruel lmao.
Keep in mind I am not a cyber security specialist. I am not an IT person, I do not have a degree or anything like that.
I am a person on the internet, and you should take the step to look into things yourself and absolutely not just take my word on this.
What is going and what is the Mother of All Breaches?
The Mother of All Breaches (MOAB) is a major data leak that I think most of you have seen talked about on cybernews here. The article brings up what this entails, what it means and that's great and dandy- but I think most people honestly just reblogged and didn't quite read it.
So let me kill some of the fear here.
Tumblr media
The leak concerns mainly data from past breaches, this means that the information can be as old as over 3 years old depending on when the leak occured. This isn't a sudden leak of billions of files over night, nobody is a super villain just yet.
This is also mentioned again here by Brooke Wagner.
Tumblr media
And further pointed out by Davey Winder here.
Tumblr media
There is also an article where they speak to a cyber criminology expert about the matter here here.
And I pointed all of this out in my OG reblog, as welll as ways to defend yourself which I will just drop back down here!
Tumblr media
@/Oxbowreality added a really good addition that Firefox has a built in password manager and has a dandy guide on their reblog here. I
However as a friend of mine pointed out, Firefox Sync doesn't really sync to an account anywhere- meaning should you loose access to your browser you may be having some issues actually getting that information back.
A password manager does have backups however, and that's why I decided to make this little addition.
My friend recommended bitwarden. (please note, my friend is a security enthusiast and not the say all of all internet security, Bitwarden is not perfect nor foolproof thanks.)
I personally have started using bitwarden and best of yet, it's free. We love free shit in this house.
Like I have added little to no new information on here, don't get me wrong. But I also feel bad about just circulating a post where even the creator isn't super happy with what they wrote to begin with.

Imagine how hurtful it must have been for Crowley to see Gabriel, the person who literally took an active part in the process of traumatising the man he loves into the mindset that he cannot be happy and free, get a happy ending. To see the man, who was one of the reasons Aziraphale haven't even acknowledged their relationship for such a long time, because they were on "opposite sides". The man who was one of the reasons they couldn't be together, even as friends, for 6000 years. The man who wanted to execute Aziraphale with a smile on his face and "shut your stupid mouth and die already" as his "goodbye". Seeing this man getting what Crowley has always dreamt of: being able to run away with the person he loves, leave Heaven and Hell behind and just be together with his beloved - in Soho or on Alpha Centauri, literally wherever, because "Heaven is wherever Beelzebub is". Crowley seeing Gabriel get it so... so effortlessly, while he has worked for it so long, nearly died because of it and still haven't been able to get that, to get the happy ending and sever all the connections with Heaven and Hell. It must have hurt like hell (most literally).

Dang it guys
we only ever talked about HALF of why these scenes were a big deal, like I just realized this today and my heart is going insane.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s not just that Crowley’s pissed at Gabriel for treating who he thinks as Aziraphale this way, the last thing he says to the people about to kill him is a benign and peaceful wish to see them again.
And like- this is Crowley trying to replicate Aziraphale to a T. So he legitimately just sees him as this endless well of compassion, someone who is always warm and accepting. It’s not just their friendship throughout the years, he remembers Aziraphale’s kindness on the Eastern Gate. When the angel had absolutely no reason to trust this random demon who just slithered up next to him. Crowley knows that he’s loved. Maybe not like that quite yet (although he’d be very wrong), but he knows that around his friend he’s always welcome and safe.
And Aziraphale?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well he just thinks Crowley’s the coolest fucker alive, like he is laying it in THICK and enjoying every second. Listen to that charisma, look at that smirk. These are traits that are typically only appreciated in the context of how good it makes Crowley at tempting, a job he hates. But Aziraphale doesn’t see someone manipulative or regard this persona as signs of his “demonic nature”, he just sees Crowley. Someone charming, fun loving, and cute.
This is when we get to know precisely why they love each other, what exactly they see in the other.
edit: this is now my most popular post, good work team, lol

NEVER shutting up about this.

It has taken me 7 months to realise that when Crowley shouts and shoots lightening he's not just screaming. He shouts "Ten" because he was counting to ten to try and calm himself down.

Is that. A Nightingale????
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I'm afraid that's not for you, sir. What about this?", Goldstone asks while showing Aziraphale a case with a bronze nightingale as a handle. "No, no, no, it's alright. I've found my showstopper.", Aziraphale answers, looking at the magic bullet catch.
Is Aziraphale actually choosing a RIFLE over a Nightingale in this scene. I am losing it.
Not only is he choosing danger over the safe option, he's choosing a weapon. HE IS CHOOSING TO FIGHT.
And, he is also choosing to do this with Crowley (even though Crowley is reluctant) and he is choosing to trust him. He's not even considering the safe option.
