I hope this brings you a little bit of laughter and a smile!
. ⋅˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ ⋅˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .
Now then, this alpha baby gumgum drop button over here…so many people think he would miss the signs at first. And perhaps he’d miss that you are slightly quieter than normal. Or that your sneezes are a bit more frequent. Maybe even that you slept in way later than you normally would have.
EXCEPT this man is enamored with you, and one of his favorite things is burrowing his face into your neck to take deep breaths of your scent.
The moment you get sick your scent betrays it, and his frown shows he has noticed before you even feel any symptoms. Thus despite you having assured him you are okay Luffy is secretly on guard.
Its not obvious to anyone really unless like Robin they analyze every bit of his body motions.
He has a hand or arm around or on you at all times
Constantly checking his volume isn’t too loud for you with subtle glances
He is paranoid a little and keeps snuffling your throat far more than usual
Once your symptoms hit he is wrapping you up in his arms and carrying you quickly to Chopper. All previous consideration for his volume level gone as he screams for the medic and for Nami.
He holds your hand the entire time (unless you and Chopper allow him to wrap himself around you like a boa constrictor. Clinging out of worry and need to protect).
If its to soon to tell what you have he gets slightly distressed. He doesn’t want to wait for you to possibly feel worse in order for you to be able to get treatment. His whining will know no ends
If they do figure out what is wrong he for once will listen to every word Chopper says and try to stick to them to a T in order for you to get better
If Chopper mentions a warmer climate or cooler climate will do you good he instantly commands Nami to find the safest path to such a climate asap
Yes safest, the need to ensure you can properly rest, swaddled up in your nest out of a possibly dangerous path is tantamount to him
He does leave your side often. To spare with the others or check with Chopper if there's anything else he can do for you. His boundless energy needs to be let out, but the minute he feels he can he rushes back to you for snuggles
You have never smelled more like Luffy a day in your life
He is constantly nuzzling and scenting you to assure you of his presence and care.
Nothing will stop him from this unless it causes you actual pain (maybe the illness gave you sensitive skin)
He understands that you need a certain diet of food too to get stronger and he’s trying to understand it. Hounding Sanji to make you “CHICKEN SOUP WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF GINGER CHOPPER SAID BLAND FOOD AND LOTS OF THINGS LIKE GINGER AND TUMURIC-”
Thank gods for Sanji, because Luffy doesn’t in his panic comprehend that putting five pounds of fresh ground ginger into the soup would in fact make it not bland
Overall Luffy is very tender and loving. He looks like a lost puppy the entire time you are sick and tries to talk quietly for you even if you say it's okay to make noise.
He doesn’t get sick with you but goodness if he doesn’t feel awful seeing you suffer
GOD FORBID someone outside the crew/pack gets too close to you during this time. Luffy will either knock them out with his Haki or if they withstand that, the savage alpha growl that leaves his chest and the look of murder in his glowing eyes will have them peeing themselves
This happy-go-lucky Alpha? His professional smile falls immediately
The guilt of holding you in his arms nearly crushes him. Heart sinking into his toes as he gently cradles you into his chest, rushing you back to your shared nest. Gloved fingers suddenly bared as he blames himself for your current state.
He is so tender and gentle regardless of how well or bad off you are. This isn’t like when you get wounded in battle, this hurts him in new unforeseen ways.
His scnet muddled with worry as he whispers soft promises to make you feel better as quickly as he can.
Sabo’s mind is full of self doubt and blame. Maybe if he was home more, or if he hadn’t taken you on that mission to the Icy Plains of the Northern Isle. But he just feels this is all his fault for being far too busy all the time. Maybe he would have noticed sooner and been able to stop it before this point if he had paid a bit more attention?
Even if you assure him it's not his fault. These things just happen sometimes he is still frowning fingers trailing gently down your cheek, he doesn’t recall getting sick like this, that is after he Ace and Luffy learned how to cook and no longer gave themselves food poisoning.
If you are ill with something he doesn’t know how to treat then he will enlist Koala and Dragon. Not one or the other both, you are too important to risk any more details being missed or possible treatment options.
He is so delicate when he treats you, loving to hold you in his arms as he helps you bathe. And no you can’t talk him out of this, it's his way of atoning for not noticing sooner.
The best food and medicine he can get his hands on will be yours. He curls around you and watches you rest, ensuring you are comfortable and his soothing scent is right here for you whenever you want a whiff.
He doesn’t scent you too much, he doesn’t want to rub all over you and jostle you.
However, if you ask him he will push his scent out and tuck your face into his neck right against his glands. There is never a moment before this that his scent ever smelled so tender.
Koala took several photos before his growls turned into fiery glare and she ran away.
He does still ask her for help, calling it an equal exchange for her snooping. She’s a good friend and does take on a huge chunk of his work so that he can be with you.
She and Hack are both secretly glad, because even though he’s fretting he is also finally getting some rest

prompt: assumptions (warnings: omegaverse) | ao3
Of course Ace had realized that when he re-met Sabo they were already past puberty and thus had already presented.
He and Sabo were in sync in everything when they were younger- fighting, eating, protecting and providing for Luffy, why would he assume that presenting would be any different? Ace had presented as an alpha on his sixteenth birthday and spent the time before sailing away being taught manners and decorum by Makino. When he miraculously met up with his presumed dead other half, he automatically assumed that because he was an alpha, Sabo would be too.
It backhands Ace in the face that he’s wrong when Sabo drops by one night on the Moby, looking tired and triumphant, sheepishly asking to crash with Ace for a bit before he has to head back to the Revs. What was Ace going to say, no?
So here Ace is, standing like a tool in the middle of his own room as Sabo strips down to his under things, he rips off the scent patches at his neck and wrist throwing them into the waste bin next to the small desk Ace has, throwing one of Ace’s barely used shirts over himself to sleep in. He sits down on Ace’s bed to start peeling at the scent patches on his inner thighs. Ace can’t stop staring at them. When they’re taken off Ace probably makes a sound because Sabo immediately turns to look at him.
Ace’s tongue feels heavy in his mouth. He opens his mouth and has to immediately swallow, Sabo’s scent starting to permeate through the air of his room. He forgets what he was going to say. He doesn’t know if he was going to say anything at all.
“I didn’t know you were an omega.”
Sabo blinks up at him. “Is that a problem?”
“What-No! Don’t be stupid it’s fine, you’re fine, you don’t have to be anything you don’t want to be! I just,” Ace pauses, not sure how to continue, not sure how to voice out I should have known because you should have been with us when you presented and you smell like everything I’ve ever wanted.
Sabo’s always known how to read him though and time hasn’t changed that. He stares up at Ace for a moment before his lips quirk up at the side into a playful close lipped, knowing smile that Ace knows wants to be an open grin. He goes to say something but his mouth is overtaken by a yawn. Sabo blinks, slow and sleepy, before he flops back onto Ace’s bed. He shifts around until he’s comfortable, nose buried into Ace’s pillow.
“Well if there’s nothing bothering you, hurry up and get changed, I’m tired.”
“Yeah, yeah whatever,” Ace grumbles even as he sets his hat next to Sabo’s and strips down into what he would usually wear to sleep.
He hesitates at the edge of his own bed but Sabo is tired enough to just roll his eyes and pull Ace down next to him. He throws one of Ace’s arms over himself and throws one of his own legs over Ace, shuffling until he settles into a comfortable position and sighs so sweetly into Ace’s throat that it makes Ace go cross eyed just hearing it. Ace’s fingers twitch when he feels the point of Sabo’s nose press against the divot under his Adam’s apple.
He rubs his nose into the hair at Sabo’s hairline, hesitating for one, two, three heartbeats before he presses his lips against Sabo’s forehead, gentle and affectionate.
Sabo releases a soft purr in response, falling more lax as he settles into sleep.
Ace watches him until he can’t keep his eyes open any longer.

Love the idea of omegaverse asl being alpha Luffy, Omega Ace, and Beta Sabo. Also love the idea that betas can enter sympathetic heats or ruts to match up with their pack-mates. Also also love the idea that Koala is a beta and Hack is a fishman and Sabo isn’t close enough to anybody else in the RA for that syncing up to happen but as soon as he reunites with Luffy and comes within ten feet of him during a rut Sabo is instantly in pseudo-rut too.
Also love the idea that alphas have herding instincts, and will nudge/nuzzle/rub up against their packmates to try and guide them to a designated place, and this instinct and behavior often increases while in rut.
Laughing my ass off thinking about Sabo basically chasing a bunch of the revs around Baltigo, nuzzling everybody and nipping at them when he thinks they’re walking too slow.
Koala is like What. Are you doing.
Sabo: I do believe I am herding you.
Koala: … Where?
Sabo: I suppose we’ll find out when we get there. Walk faster please.

Pregnant Sabo.. ooh he’ll be the brattiest and also calm person you’ll meet. As the chief of staff of the revolutionary army, he has allot of responsibilities. But while getting himself pregnant because Ace knocked him up during a very intense heat and now here he is stuck in his room eating chips and a tuna sandwich with mustard because of his stupid weird cravings Pregnant!! His scent is very strong it lingers outside of his room,, that sweet milk smell and a hint of mint .
When Ace comes to check up on him he never forgets to bring snacks and oh allot of snacks. Sabo has gotten a large appetite. And for some odd reason one of everything MEAT!!
He craves meat 24/7 will chew on jerky until they bring out a big piece for a big family of all kinds of different meals of meat. Sometimes even slaps Ace if he tries sneaking one into his mouth.
Hissing at him while devouring his food. Then starts to cry while eating and says sorry in a gross manner with food still in his mouth. Trying to hug Ace but has grease and meat juices all over his fingers.
Ace who’s in awe but trying to keep Sabos greasy fingers out of his way, pats his back and grabs napkins to clean his tears, mouth, fingers, and nose. All so messy!
Then he bends down a little in an awkward position to kiss at Sabos baby bump. There inside, is their unborn baby boy *luffy* ☺️ inside his mother’s womb curled up.
“WAAH ACESU!- i- Im sorry i ddindt mean to slap yew..” now that his throat is a little more cleared up from swallowing his food down he can talk a little better.
“HAHA!.. it’s okay im sorry for not asking some..” Ace says, chuckling and pressing a quick kiss to Sabos cheek. His smile fades the second Sabos mood switches up again and replies “…I probably wouldn’t have given you anyway… izz mine.. go get your own!!” Huffing and puffing with a cute pout. Crumbs of meat on the corner of his mouth.
Ace stares at him with amusement and laughs again, scratching the back of his head, “yeah you’re right I should’ve!”
Despite being a total brat, he’s still kind of nice to Ace even through stupid moments where he’s mad at him for bothering Sabo during a very hormonal moment here and there.
Sabo took a long 10 months off the RA for maternal health. Ace there by his side to attend him and make sure his days go smoothly as a pregnant with a glutton baby..with all these cravings!
Sabo loves reading..yes but not as much as he did until he got pregnant, quickly picking up that habit again and love reading with a book laying on top of his cute Pregnant belly while knitting a blanket. Sitting on his bed with Ace right behind him, holding his baby bump up a little to relief some of the back pain sabo has with all that baby weight. Relaxing, and comforting at the same time. His alpha, Ace by his side while he knits and reads a nice book of fantasy stories to keep him entertained.
Once in a while Koala also comes into his room, not that much affected of Sabos strong scent, because she easily walks in with a bowl of grapes and condensed milk in the side (weird pregnancy cravings im telling you!)
They would just hang in there in his room chatting. Until time passes by that Koala needs to head back for work again. Thankfully because of Koala and Hack, they covered Sabo for the past few months while he’s been gone for maternity care. Until baby Luffy is born, he’s stuck in his room or go out with Ace for some fresh air and “hang out” (eating outside while talking to eachother and staring into nature)

More Omegaverse Headcanons, in a diff flavor xd
Ace is an omega that would have been an alpha. I like the idea that the length of a pregnancy determines how they present later in life. Right on time and an easy pregnancy that is bound to be an alpha. Misses a few due dates and a hard pregnancy, well the baby will be blund to present as an omega. Ace is late as one can be. The way his heats work is all over the place. He can go for months or even a year without it being triggered only to encounter a familiar smell of an alpha that reminds his instincts that hey, we haven't had this in a while. Then he is out for a week, usually finds a Beta to hang around with and satisfy his urges till it blows over. Sometimes its with an Alpha but only after he joins the whitebeard crew and meets Alpha's he trusts
Sabo is an alpha. He had his accident right before presenting and it fucks him up. He judt assumes he is a beta and goes along with it. Not really giving a shit about the dynamics of finding a mate or any of it. That changes when he gets his memories back. He presents as an Alpha for the first time, and his body has to play catch up in a rut that puts him out of commission for a month.
Law is an omega. In the same boat as Sabo, he did not present as a child due to the white led disease, wrecking his body. Then he got his fruit and just separated that whole part of himself just for survival sakes. He has never allowed himself to have a heat, always using his power to delay it every month. When he does have his first heat right during dressrosa due to the sea stone shackles blocking his power, it completely wrecks him. Only Luffy being right there, an Alpha he trusts, is he able to keep it together until they win. Then he spends a week nesting on the strawhat ship. They help him through it because other than Sanji, none of them ever had problems presenting and were taught much more on the practical side of things then someone like Law xd
Kidd is an Alpha through and through. He presented early, right before he ate his fruit and it drove his instinct into over drive, he is very possessive and susceptible to an omega's heat but has no intention or desire of ever gettting involved with one.
Killer is a beta that is good at mellowing out Kidd's ruts, just because they have been together for so long and know each other. He's just chilling. When he gets the smile fruit, that's when there are issues. It fucks him up. He will msot likely go through a change and present all over again, either as an Alpha or an Omega. Either way, he is worried that will change his friendship with Kidd, and there is some drama there.

Omega Ace who never really put much thought into being an omega. (forgot what that was called, a second gender I think.) He’s always been strong enough to handle himself, and anyone who’s been dumb enough to comment on it has been left with a nasty burn.
His heat cycles have never been one to bother him either- back in the day, Deuce had helped him make natural heat suppressants, and nowadays, Marco has always had plenty on hand.
Until of course, he reunites with Sabo.
It’s like there’s an itch he didn’t know he had that’s suddenly being scratched- part of him feels whole now. He both settles down and ignites all over again.
He never paid any attention to the fact Sabo was an alpha, either. Until it was time for another heat suppressant. Until then, it was like taking any other pill, but this time was different- like his body was rejecting it. Marco had recommended he stop taking them- he hadn’t had a proper heat in almost three years anyways.
So here he was, embarrassed, nesting in a room generously (forcefully) provided to him by the Revolutionary Army under Sabo’s command.
His nest was pathetic, really. A few of Sabo’s clothes he managed to swipe, and some beef jerky wrappers. It wasn’t a dignified addition- but the smell reminded him of Luffy.
Sabo’s smell of mint didn’t really mix well with the smell- but it worked.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only issue. Even if Ace hadn’t yet fully began his heat, he was still somehow at Sabo’s mercy. Any time Sabo would ask if he needed anything, the sound of his voice- the proximity of his pheromones drove him wild. Those icy blue eyes looked down on him and straight through Ace, sending flashes of electricity down his spine. And his heat hadn’t even properly begun yet.
Of course, when it begins, Sabo is already at his side. One hand roughly rubs Ace’s inner thigh- his other holds his gloves, giving Ace a few harsh spanks. Not a punishment- but a reminder of his power, his control. Right now, he’s not the gentle, caring Sabo. He’s the Alpha Sabo, who’s been desperately holding back for almost a week. Ace had been leaking his needy pheromones any time his eyes had even landed on him, it’s been torture.
Of course, Sabo has Ace under him now. He watches as his legs shake from barely being touched, slick leaking from his pretty cunt, inflamed from Ace’s harsh, dry, rubbing earlier. His eyes already grow teary from the feeling. His heat is back like a lion- years of suppressing it making it worse. He shivers and whines- even fucking purrs when Sabo touches him.
Sabo doesn’t even hesitate, filling Ace with his cock. It’s long- making up for the slight lack of girth. Ace swears it was made for him with how it slides against him perfectly. Sabo fucks him in a nasty doggy style, Ace trembling on his hands and knees.
One of Sabo’s hands hooks his fingers into Ace’s mouth, causing drool to roll down his slender fingers. Ace’s sounds come out clear as day. The two don’t care who hears. Sabo’s fingers slide further in his mouth, coating himself in saliva.
Ace’s pretty cunt tightens around him- a sign he likes the filthy behavior. Sabo only chuckles, nibbling on his scent gland as he pulls his hand back, wet fingers rubbing circles on Ace’s swollen clit. Ace’s arms fail on him- but Sabo doesn’t mind- his other hand deciding to push Ace’s head further into the bed- his fingers wrapping in the greasy locks.
Poor Ace can’t even think anymore- its not about surviving his heat and instincts- its about surviving the insane pleasure Sabo gives him. His eyes roll back, moans and purrs being muffled by the bed. Sabo taunts him- mocking his whimpers with a wide grin.
Poor Ace. At the rate this is going, if he makes it through this heat, he won’t even need one soon. After all- he’s been so stuffed full, it’ll be a miracle if he leaves this without a full womb.
Still mentally stuck on alpha!Sabo and omega!Ace like something about that is just SO delicious to me. If I wasn’t exhausted I’d be writing abt it I swear.

Headcanon abo au/omegaverse
Alphas roar like big cats, alphas chuff and can't purr. Their growls are deep and loud, made to intimidate and to a degree force submission from the person they may direct it to if they chose to lace it with alpha timbre. Only alphas can do this.
Zoro uses intimidation and timbre a lot when younger and is one of the reasons he gets the nickname demon of the east so quickly. The selected few who gain emperor's haki (if alphas) normally have unnaturally strong timbre. He has a terrifying roar.
Luffy has it too of course, but doesn't really use it at all. I think ASL never really used this when together, not even when fighting. Ace may have tried it when really angry, but the face Sabo made caused him to never want to use it again. Luffy's roar is so deep feral sounding (and does not match that scrawny body pre TS) it literally makes people that hear it turn in the other direction. He doesn't really like to use it as he doesn't like to scare people. But when fighting it simply is natural for him to growl, roar and snarl like the feral monkey beast he is.
Betas can purr, but it may not come naturally for them. They can sort of make a chuffing sound, but just like omegas their vocal range is limited. Their roar and growls are more alpha-like but not in the same vocal range.
Usopp's natural purr is very omega-like. He is skilled in intimidating alpha roars too. This is a little unique for a betas but he perfected his impressions of both aloha and omega in syrup village as he grew up. In fights he uses this to his advantage and to intimidate and throw off his opponents.
He can copy almost any sound, be it animals, human, mechanical or other. On the crew hd sometimes messes with Franky who searches Sunny for that creaky squeaky sound until he realises it is just Usopp messing with him. He also makes games for Luffy and chopper where they get to guess the sound he makes, when they guess right he lies and comes up with an outrageous alternative and weaves a story that distracts them from calling him out on his bs.
Omegas can't chuff, only purr. And they may not be able to roar in the volume like Alphas, but they roar/scream like pumas/mountain lions when agitated (and sometimes in heat.) You ever heard that sound? Chilling.
Sanji scares the living shit out of opponents when he lets out his roar. It's quite unusual for omegas to be fighters, but among pirates it's a little more common as they overall challenge the status quo. Sanji doesn't like to use his roar all that much as it always causes a reaction of "Black leg, you're an OMEGA?!?" He uses salves and scent muting band aids on his scent glands to hide his scent so not to give his position as an omega away.

I don't care, I know most see Law as the bottom (for lack of better terms to describe what I've seen, because most of it is just sexual) but for me Law is top and Sabo is bottom. What's more, if we talk about the Omegaverse, I defend Law as alpha and Sabo as his omega... although Sabo is one of those who wants lots of babies and bosses the alpha around, who is only grumpy with everyone except his husband. And to be honest, angry and mentally insane Sabo is scarier than Law *lol*
I'm sorry for those who hate my fanfics for that, or for my sense of humor. I don't want to read about Law and Sabo being sexually abused for the thousandth time... or about them being unfaithful or must have sex with ALL the characters, while participating in orgies or threesomes. I'M SORRY FOR JUST WANTING LOVE. I love cliché romantic comedies so much, the more cliché and cheesy, the better for me.
I hope you understand, I DO NOT hate or disparage fanfics with sexual themes, orgies, rape, torture, etc. But it's not my tags, it's not what interests me. I'm already at an age where sex is banal, especially when it is just fetish after fetish or without plot, without reason, without context. There's nothing wrong with it.
About the Sims, I lost my tiktok account and videos, so I'm starting a new game from scratch... and we'll see how they fall in love again.
And to the one who asked me why I don't have the comments open, it's simply because they were commenting insults or giving me reasons why everything was better in a Law x Luffy.
Still, I always answer their messages (they know it) and when they ask me to read their fanfics, I do it with all the love in the world, because I know that writing fics is a hobby and sharing it is fun.
Stop demanding so much, stop insulting and ruining the hobby of someone who never forced you to read. And if you don't find what you're looking for, write it. I write my own fics for that reason. HAVE FUN.
Thank you ♡

another throwaway-ish acesabo fic i might finish eventually maybe not. the logic and characterization started bugging me but also this ain't about that. i wanted to write alpha sabo wearing a muzzle while rejection-sensitive omega ace is extremely pissed to be denied kissies
Me in 2014, unenlightened: omegaverse is just a cheap tactic to make stoic blorbos pathetic Me now: I think ace one piece should experience PMS
set ambiguously after marineford but ace lives + nothing huge is going on with the RA
TW: omegaverse, pre-heat pms??? lmao, this one actually isn't that spicy it's just silly summary: ace: what if you helped me with my heat. hahaahaha jk. unless sabo: (malfunctions)
“Another meeting?”
Even Ace is surprised at the sharpness in his voice. It's been jumping out of him these last few weeks. He wants to swallow it back down, this twitchiness, but as Sabo turns his good eye back to him, he tries laughing it off instead.
“Yep.” His brother shrugs, smiling. “Duty calls.” “Hmm.”
Ace had his responsibilities as second division commander, but they so rarely involved paperwork. Everything was hands-on, on the go. Meetings were like rallies or even parties more often than not.
He misses it a lot. It feels wrong to sail under any other flag. But Pops was good at protecting people, and that's something Ace can do. Besides, Sabo is here. Sabo, who still has a way of keeping Ace relatively sane– up until recently, at least. There’s a moment where Sabo catches his withered expression, but neither of them say anything.
Ace falls back on teasing, hand on hip. “I’m just wondering if you ever get to have any fun is all.” “I have plenty of fun, Ace,” Sabo huffs, “especially when you’re around.” “Oh, yeah?” Ace is fairly sure— Sabo must be thinking of the fun they had a few weeks ago.
They’d saved a coastal town from some shitty pirates, which was already a good time in itself. They went to the tavern to drink– the place had good stuff, on the house for good deeds– went back to a good room– it’s actually pretty foggy from there. The emotions remain more than the specifics.
But he remembers riding Sabo stupid. Lighting the lamps so he could see when the sky went dark. And how pretty he looked, panting, his golden hair haloed on the bed. His bruising grip on Ace’s thighs. The sensation of his cock swelling like he could knot Ace outside of a mating cycle. He remembers Sabo’s face, lost in pleasure– growling, even– eyes scrunched tight, the flash of his white fangs in his open mouth.
He remembers thinking that it was so good. In the morning, though, Sabo was gone. He’d left a note on the nearest surface, in a rough scrawl: gone on mission
S
The total lack of specifics was somehow just like him, so Ace had huffed and climbed back into bed. Half-conscious, he’d searched the sheets for the elusive scent so often trapped beneath Sabo’s stuffy, high-necked outfits. And he tried to pull together soft little shreds of memory from the previous night. He hadn’t meant to ruminate. Just to check. Because no matter how he turned it over in his head, it all still seemed like a dream. And if it had happened, should it have happened at all? They never talked about it. Busy, busy days in the Revolutionary Army. Normal, normal brothers who were still learning each other a year after meeting again. Maybe Ace had made a mistake. All those vivid images were tiny embers that refused to die– for weeks now, he was plagued with curiosity. Then shame.
When they first met again, Sabo hadn’t reacted to his second sex beyond a small, almost comical lift of his brows. Ace had been equally cool about it on the outside, and he held himself to that, but the fact that Sabo was an unclaimed alpha had gotten under his skin.
If he was going to be honest with himself, it was posing a real fucking issue.
Ace had always been on the more impulsive side, but he really thought he smoothed that out– if not in terms of danger, then at least when it came to getting along with people.
Of all people, Sabo should test him the least.
And it sucks because he doesn’t, really. He and Ace still get on well. Better than well. What he's testing are Ace’s instincts. Ace had always been able to ignore them in the past, so their constant pounding in his head had surprising power and he ended up blurting out stupid shit like never before. He hadn't even been that clingy when they were kids. He knew and yet the antsy energy remained, dunking his moods and driving him crazy.
“That’s a relief,” Ace says, throwing him his utmost charming, normal smile. Sabo doesn't seem to take it at face value– figures– but past the semi-concerned twitch of his brow, he manages not to fuss over it for about three seconds.
“I’m glad, too. Are you… is everything good?”
“Everything's good,” Ace assures, a little too quick. The last thing he wants is Sabo looking at him like that. “Go on, don't be late,” he urges good-naturedly, sending him off with a lazy wave. “You just let me know if you need any countries set on fire or anything, yeah?”
Sabo looks like he wants to ask something else, but they have another half-conscious second of conversation with their eyes. Sabo’s face crinkles slowly into a smile, and he leaves, taking part of Ace's peace of mind along with him.
*
A week later, Ace visits Sabo in his room. “G’morning,” he yawns, hand on the doorframe. Sabo looks up from his desk– coffee in one hand, paper in the other.
“Ace. Good morning. Where have you been?” Sabo asks, casual enough.
Ace closes the door behind him and leans against it, nearly clenching his teeth against the nerves in his gut. “Sphinx,” he replies cheerfully. “To visit Pops and Marco.”
Sabo turns away to set his newspaper down. “I see. How's Marco doing?”
“Good,” Ace replies. “He’s on top of things as usual. I just help out here ‘n there.”
The revolution lets him come and go as long as he's smart about it. Well, Sabo lets him come and go. Most of the world still thinks Portgas D. Ace is dead, and the RA thinks he should keep it that way until it's the right moment for a blaze of glory.
No way that's happening until Ace gets his head screwed on straight again. But it's different when he has to be an omega about it. Show up at Marco’s door like a twitchy stray to ask what the hell his body is doing and how to make it stop. He's got a mind that’s too fond of bad ideas, but this sleep with Sabo or else one is throwing him for a loop.
First of all, stop taking suppressants, Marco had said, way too coolly. You haven't had a mating cycle in– two years now?
Can't I just sleep with people and get it out that way?
Sorry, Ace. You have to pass a heat.
Ace had gone quiet then, stomach dropping through the displeasure of it.
You know, there's ways of making it easier, finding a safe partner…
No, I can handle it. I mean, I'll figure it out. Marco. Thank you.
So there it was. He'd tried to take a vacation from his unreasonable instincts only to find out they had to be confronted.
When he looked at his options, his brain became scrambled eggs. The anger in his heart demanded consolation and so he ended up right at Sabo’s door.
“Want some?” Sabo asks.
It refreshes his attention, and Ace’s eyes fall upon the mug in Sabo’s elegantly gloved hand. That other kind of hunger stokes cinders inside of him. “Nah. Coffee's gross.”
Sabo smiles against the rim of the cup. “Useful, though.”
“How about we get some food in you down at the mess hall, too?”
Sabo raises his eyebrows. “Wouldn't turn that down. Give me a second.”
Ace glances around while the desk gets organized. “I also wanted to ask a favor.”
Sabo pauses where he's just stood up, and looks over, a little too keen for Ace’s liking. “Yeah?”
“See, I was wondering if I could…” he starts– then shakes his head, laughing at himself. He didn't learn to be polite for Sabo. He comes closer and clasps his hand firmly on Sabo’s shoulder, ignoring the low screech of desire that comes with it. “No, let me start over. Will ya lend me some of your clothes?”
He can't help the light pink flush on his own cheeks, but he's genuinely pleased at how Sabo’s face changes.
He does the eyebrow lift thing, and his hazel-eyed stare becomes that much more sharp, like this simple question does what the coffee couldn't. Ace likes that he doesn’t look away. But then, he's also at a loss for words, unspoken or otherwise. If they'd never been separated, if Ace wasn't a tough guy and Sabo wasn't a child soldier, this would be an easy script to follow.
Sabo glances down as if he has to examine what he's already got on. Those tough, tan pants that fall just right and the flouncy undershirt and fitted vest; Ace is vaguely amazed at how well put together he looks when the sun’s not even past the rocky horizon of Baltigo outside.
“Lend you my clothes?” he repeats. “Here I thought you had such a problem with them.”
Well, yeah, they make Sabo look snooty as fuck and they seem as freeing as a straitjacket, but–
“I do, but nesting’s not about fashion, it's about scents.”
“Oh… that's what you mean?”
Now why is Sabo so alarmed, blushing like a village maiden?
“What?” Ace asks, pinning him with an edgy, somewhat challenging look. He crosses his arms, since Sabo looks like he wants to sink into the floorboards. “Why are you so surprised? Did you think I don't nest?”
“Well, no–”
“I nested even when we were kids. It was like the one normal thing I did.”
Sabo laughs haltingly. “I remember. It's just that you insisted it was for Luffy’s sake–”
“Yeah, we thought it might make him less whiny,” Ace reminds him. What a puzzle that had been. Pups raising pups– that Luffy turned out half-decent was a fucking miracle, and maybe Sabo had more of a hand in it than he did. The angel on his shoulder had a lot more sway when it spoke with Sabo’s voice. Makino had loved the idea of their nesting with the clothes she brought, though. Everyone loved Makino, so if she thought it was a good idea, Ace had figured it was. “I guess I just got in the habit, man. You don’t actually have to give me anything, don’t worry about it.” Bless his heart, Sabo doesn’t let this awful feeling in Ace’s stomach take root.
“What? No, Ace, I didn’t say you couldn’t have any,” he says quickly, eyes as wide as a skittish woodland creature’s. “Please take something. It just surprised me. Nobody’s ever asked me before.” Ace sits with that for a few seconds. He shouldn’t feel happy that Sabo was deprived of meaningful pack bonds. But he feels light as air knowing that he’s Sabo’s first here, too. “Okay,” he says, grinning. When he catches sight of Sabo’s awkward, half-grimacing expression in turn, he snickers. “Could’ve just stolen some of your clothes to save us the awkward little chat, huh? You have so many, you wouldn’t have even noticed.” Sabo rubs his face between thumb and fingers, flustered. Another stilted laugh bubbles out of him. “No, I mean, sure, if you need something from me, you can have it,” he says, as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Ace’s smile softens, but it feels like a supernova, a victory. He’s having trouble stripping his eyes away from Sabo, the genuine pleasure on his rosy face. “But I’m glad you asked.” Ace bites the inside of his cheek because he feels like he’s about to start purring and Sabo hasn’t even given him anything yet, hasn’t even touched him. He’s out of joint for sure. “No big deal. Used to nest with Luffy’s clothes, too,” Ace tells him. He wrinkles his nose. “He smells like meat and dirt, though.”
Sabo relaxes. “You love meat and dirt.” “I do,” Ace laughs. “Yeah, Lu smells weird as fuck and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’ll take your gift too. Much appreciated.” And now that he’s got his consolation prize, Ace yearns to get the fuck out of there. Even if he’s curious about fucking Sabo again– just to check– his upcoming heat is something else. It’s going to be beyond terrible, so much so that he already feels like a sweaty human fireball when it comes to mind, and he honestly doesn’t want to think about it. There’s a reason he hasn’t stopped downing suppressants for two years. Sabo’s clothes and memories of nesting in their treehouse will have to do to ease his fraying nerves. Ace has been through worse, so he should be stronger. He should be stronger. He should pass his heat and then, if possible, have sex with Sabo once more just to get this heavy, cloying attraction out of his system– Ace claps his hands together. “That’s settled, then. Breakfast?”
He needs to do something with his body that isn’t standing here and taking in everything that makes Sabo Sabo. But his brother doesn’t budge or even glance at the door. “When do you need them by?”
“Hm?” “I mean…” Sabo looks to the wall and back. “It’s soon, right? You stopped taking your suppressants.” Ace frowns, and twists his head over to sniff. “Damn, do I smell rank?” “No, no, you’re fine I think, as long as you don’t go anywhere too cramped or hot…” Sabo’s nose twitches; his mouth thins. “Are you going anywhere?” Ace’s eyebrows jump at the sudden steeliness in his voice. He fixes Sabo with a look on the border of teasing and genuine annoyance. “Sabo, have you never been around an omega or something?” “I have,” Sabo says, somewhat irritably. “Just… older ones, or… subordinates…” “Subordinates,” Ace repeats, teasing. “Well, it’s an army here, Ace, not exactly a family,” Sabo sighs, idly massaging one gloved hand with the other. “But now my brother is about to go through a cycle, so shouldn’t I make sure everything is fine? Are you going back to Sphinx for your heat?”
“Kinda thought I’d just stay here and bolt the door.” Sabo studies his face for a few seconds, then relents, throat bobbing. “Okay. Are you going to need… anything else?” “Well,” Ace starts. He puts his hands on his hips, rocks on his feet. “What’re you offering, Sabo?” Sabo swallows again. Ace almost hears it. Shit, it makes him want to pounce. “Oh.” He shows all his teeth. “I’m low maintenance, promise.” Sabo shakes his head, his smile completely lost on his face. Ace’s head gets foggy and hot and his mouth just starts moving.
“T’ tell the truth,” he admits, “it’s… gonna be a tough one to ride out since I haven’t had one for two years– that’s what Marco said. But it’s short notice, don’t really wanna go through the trouble of finding someone I can trust.” Despite knowing how terrible the heat is going to be– and it’s always worse than imagined– he can hardly think of anything that motivates him less than finding a viable partner out of the blue. The thought has worked like a boomerang, just bringing him memories of Sabo’s hands, arms, lips. Something tells him he shouldn’t trouble his brother with his cycle like this. Something else tells him that nothing in the world would be better. Like Sabo his brother and Sabo an alpha could be different things– and they’re not; Sabo is Sabo.
Ace the brother and Ace the omega are different things, though, and by the four fucking seas, he should know to keep it that way. “Are you serious?” Sabo asks. Again with the eyebrows raised way up, his stare both hawkish and disbelieving. Ace’s heart beats like a drum. This is a gamble, he knows. But he’d regret anything less. “Dead serious,” he drawls. Go big or go home, and he’s fearless. He understands very well that he can’t always get his way. Can’t make people want him. He gets that. They do or they don’t. It seemed like Sabo did that first time. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a world where Sabo doesn’t. Kind, loyal, capable, pretty-faced Sabo…
He holds up his hands. “If you don’t wanna, that’s that, but I remember last month– kinda– sorry ‘bout that–” “Don’t be sorry,” Sabo chokes out. Nice of him not to play dumb. Ace nods. “-- it was good! Real good. You’d be helping me out, if you’re up to it.” “Well–” Sabo falters. He shifts his jaw around, looks altogether way too serious, rigid. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea, Ace.” Ace freezes. “Yeah, you’re right,” his mouth says without his permission. Now his heart’s beating in a bad way. Why’d he say that? Sabo never became a pirate. Maybe he’s not built for that up-front, casual kind of thing– “It’s not that I wouldn’t,” Sabo says with that same hasty voice from earlier. Now Ace recognizes that it’s not an endearing fluster, but a quick course correction meant to coddle Ace, and fuuuuck, he really showed his hand at the worst time. “I just think– I’m not very available– I couldn’t be any help–” Again Ace’s hand comes down on Sabo’s shoulder. Maybe a little harder this time. “Sabo,” he says heavily, and sucks a deep breath in through his mouth. Sabo shuts up for the duration of his exhale, too, and then Ace smacks his shoulder a few times, grounding them both. “It’s fine. It’s cool. You’re super busy. It’s only a heat. Just forget it.”
Sabo looks more horrified than placated. Damn. Ace is pushing a smile harder than ever before because what else is there to do? Yeah, he’s pissed, but he’d be a prick to take it out on Sabo.
“Wait, I don't think you understand. It’s not you at all. I just think–” “Yeah, I got it. Not cool of me to spring it on you. Way too short notice. And it’s just a heat,” Ace repeats, also trying to convince himself. His stomach feels like it’s about to mutiny, empty itself of its fat 8am nothing. Like nausea lives there now.
So Sabo doesn’t want him.
That doesn’t even feel entirely true– But Ace is not going to push it. No regrets, but also damn him and his bad ideas. Sabo grabs his arm. “Wait, Ace–”
He feels overstimulated and shrugs Sabo off. It takes a few seconds to even formulate a response around his brain mysteriously exploding with something like starvation pains. Sabo looks somewhat heartbroken for him, which is worse. It’s just a heat. Sabo is his own person, obviously. His own person who could probably have anyone other than Ace, what was he even thinking.
Stalling, Ace ruffles his own hair back into somewhat of a bedhead, and tamps down as hard as possible on what wants to come out. You don’t want me?
Am I causing problems again?
Can you just hold me for a while, please, please– “If you feel like you need someone for it, just–” “Damn, don’t put words in my mouth,” Ace manages. He turns on his heel. “‘M hungry. I want food in my mouth. Let’s go get breakfast, Sabo.”
*
They sit across from each other for breakfast in the mess hall. If he’s around, Ace eats there even if Sabo doesn’t; like this, he learns the names of all the dour-faced veterans and bushy-tailed idealists, and they also know not to bug him if he lands face first in his plate. That doesn’t happen today. Sabo sits across from him with that disconcerted look, frowning more than Ace has seen him do in a while– it’s irritating– and Ace stuffs his face like they did not have that conversation. Once his stomach is fuller and he feels stronger, strong enough to hold his instincts at arm’s length again, he reasons that it went as well as it could’ve. Of course he had to ask. Was he just not going to ask? Like a coward? And at least now he knows. Yeah, he feels like a popped bubble or a capsized skiff now, strangled by that rejection in a way he hasn’t been for years, but this time it’s just omega stuff kicked up to eleven. That’s why it feels so beyond his control.
He’ll get all his hormones sorted with a heat, and then he’ll stop feeling like Sabo’s lost, horny puppy dog. Awesome plan. He slams his bowl down. Sabo’s been talking to some staffers– he really does have his sexy little gloved fingers in everything all the time– and he glances up at the noise. “... No seconds?” “I said I’d help train some recruits today,” Ace informs him, stacking his tray up. Sabo frowns. “Really?” “Yeah– quit that, stop worrying about me.” Sabo takes a deep breath and rubs his neck. “I’m not…” Ace laughs. “Get better at lying. Look, this isn’t my first rodeo, okay? Won't be so bad. And us, we’re fine.” “Of course we are,” Sabo says, and leaves the but hanging in the air. For now, Ace is fine with that. He whacks Sabo’s shoulder. “See you around?” “Yeah…”
And the back of Ace’s neck tingles, because he feels eyes on him until the moment he leaves the room. * A nice breeze and a few hours of physical exertion do him good, even if he still feels like a time bomb. At least he can make himself useful until pre-heat starts kicking his ass. He does indeed see Sabo around. He’s hard to miss at his height, with his stature, having left the top hat behind on this relatively casual day. And casual though it is, he sees Sabo cross from one end of the compound to the other, passing the training yard, no less than four times in six hours.
Maybe that's not unusual? Except that Sabo stops to look at him every time, arms crossed and not quite focused.
He's not there when the bell for dinner rings, which raises some questions, but Ace pushes it out of mind. He focuses on the roasted turkey and how he's going to have to ask for heat rations from the cook, who he hasn't quite won over just yet. Maybe in the morning when he’s less sleepy.
He's about to pass out in his room when there's a knock at the door and it opens. Huh. A guy has to question the point of knocking, then.
“Ace?”
Sabo closes it behind him with his foot, approaches Ace’s bunk– nest half-made and sadly lacking– and waits for him to stand up before holding out a folded set of clothes. Ace can't help the way he perks up at the gift.
As he reaches for them, Sabo leans in and sniffs. Ace goes still without even meaning to, mechanically closing his hands around fabric.
“You're getting close.”
“Hi to you, too, Sabo.”
Sabo leans back with a frown. “I really think you should stay in until it starts, Ace.”
“How are you? I'm doing fine, thank you for asking.”
“Ace.”
His voice is pinched. Briefly Ace traces the shape of his scar again and sighs.
“I think I've got at least a day or two left ‘til it really sets in and gets, y’know, smelly.”
At age 18 he'd fought off a navy squadron in pre-heat, even, and any pirate in a mile radius knew not to fuck with him. Surely the revolutionary army guys are as disciplined as pirates?
Sabo apparently doesn't think so. His face darkens. It's tough for Ace not to grin, but he tries. He brings the clothes closer to his chest. Sabo's wearing a whole other prissy outfit– so the ones he brought must've been from today. Ace feels itchy with that knowledge.
He remembers practically tearing his brothers’ clothes off of them when they were kids, so brashly insistent on tossing them into bed, and laughs a little. Sabo scolded him then, too.
“I'm not joking, Ace.”
“Obviously not,” Ace says lightly. “I can handle a fever, Sab. You worried about my hot, irresistible pheromones?”
Sabo’s face loosens like a lightning flash before his mouth firms up hard. Ace has the sense he's stepping on something he shouldn't.
“Yes,” he answers, huffs, and rolls his eyes. “You know, a lot of these people haven't mated in years. If it was anyone but you, I’d probably ask you to use the heat rooms in the infirmary.”
That doesn't make him feel special. He scowls.
“Don't really wanna be cooped up in any room at all for long,” he edges out. The worst thing is that he trusts Sabo is looking out for him, in his own needlessly intense way.
“Please?”
Ace catches the inside of his cheek between his molars.
“I'm telling you, ‘s not even pre-heat yet,” he says. His gland hasn't swollen up, there's no miserable heaviness to his groin, and he still has more than enough energy. So much energy he almost feels like he wants to fight.
He's so hopeless sometimes. He sits on the bed just to put some space between them, looks dourly at Sabo.
Sabo's surveying the room. There's a few trinkets, misplaced socks, log pose on the standard issue dresser. He hasn't made a home here, but it's something.
“I still need to get my hands on some water and food for it,” Ace continues, trying the rational angle.
Sabo shakes his head, tic in his jaw. “I'll take care of that,” he says, and his voice is gentle, reassuring. And Sabo always does what he says he'll do, so.
Ace frowns though. He feels fidgety, full of tinder sparks. He rubs at his neck, eyes shut. If he hunkers down now, he's just going to be… alone… for a while. And usually that’s no problem.
It's not like this room is a prison cell, but he learned just how slow a few days can pass when there's no one to talk to. He sends another silent thank you to Jinbei for keeping him somewhat more sane for that, but his friends can't do anything about his heat.
It's just a heat.
Sabo says his name and Ace realizes he doesn't know how long he was staring at his lap just now.
“Ace?” Sabo sounds worried. “You still have your baby snail?”
“…Huh? It's somewhere.”
“Right. So– that's how we’ll–” Sabo gestures, though he seems confused by exactly what he's doing. He pauses, puts his hands on his hips, and smiles. “You just call me on that when your heat starts.”
Ace’s brow twitches. He's not gonna show that side of himself to Sabo just for shits and giggles. Sabo looks at him and cools down, mouth falling open, smacked with some realization.
“Oh. Right. Sorry, are you still–” Again with the gesturing. “I changed my mind about what I said earlier.”
Ace leans back on the bed, incredulous. His arms are taut behind him. Sabo takes in the line of his body, then looks up. Oh, he's serious.
“Changed your mind?”
Sabo nods, all sincere, unflinching eye contact. “Yeah. I can’t just walk around doing business as usual while you're suffering in here. You even told me it was going to be bad. Can't take it lightly.”
Ace hums. Shit, he's getting too used to being saved by his brothers.
Shaking his head, he pats the stack of clothes. “Couldn't have led with that, chief?”
Sabo shrugs, smiling helplessly.
“Will you wait for me?” he asks, voice butter smooth. “I have to get some things ready, and then I’ll be one call away when you feel it coming on.”
“Koala says you never answer your snail.”
Sabo makes a face. “Not fair, she's making generalizations. I can't always answer the snail if I'm sneaking around or fighting–” he takes another breath, pauses. “-- and I won't be– I mean, I'll be right here.”
“So…” Ace looks down. “You want me to hunker down now and just wait for you?”
It seemed like the biggest drag in the fucking world two minutes ago. To himself, at least, he can't deny all the warm, fuzzy feelings dredged up. Sabo also seems happy. They're on the same page again.
“I can bring you some comics tonight?” he offers. Ace laughs.
He's a world-class wanted man who spent years in the Grand Line, and Sabo thinks he still likes comics?
He's not wrong.
“Ehh… just bring me all the papers with stories about Luffy,” he suggests, grinning. The two of them are collecting like crazy. “And the ones about Pops if you got ‘em.”
Sabo smiles. “Okay.”
“Okay.”
Excitement grows inside of him. There’s whole-body relief for the first time in ages. He hates that it's not something he could've accomplished on his own, but– he knows better than that now.
“Thanks, Sabo.”
Sabo nods. “I’ll take good care of you, Ace, I swear.”
Ace’s ears go hot. He chuckles, looking aside. “You don't gotta say shit like that.”
“Well, I mean it–“
Ace crashes back into his bed, sprawled over clothes and extra blankets, head tilting back and eyes shut. “I trust you.”
Sabo walks a little closer into his peripheral vision. All serious-faced again. His chip-toothed, wild brat really grew up into a soldier. “Full disclosure, though,” he starts. “I've never shared a heat with anyone.”
“What a surprise,” Ace says breezily. Haha, looks like he's gonna be Sabo’s first again.
Sabo doesn't even catch the dig for what it is. Ace clears his throat. “You'll be fine. When was your last rut?”
“Uh. Not too long ago, actually.”
Ace looks up at the ceiling, considering that. It means that Sabo’s alpha instincts likely won’t be so intense. Ace isn't sure how he feels about it. He’ll be burning off two years of suppressed heats and also the traumatic stress, according to Marco.
He worries his lip between his teeth, glances over. “Did ya spend it with anyone?”
He doesn't know why he asked that.
Sabo sort of stares into the corner of the bed. “Not… really…”
Ace laughs even though he wants to hit something suddenly. “What does that mean?”
“I mean, I didn't,” Sabo says with more certainty. Ace trusts that– and it's not his business, he reminds himself. Sabo’s free, all they ever wanted. “I didn't share it with anyone. Full disclosure again, I don't like how I get during my ruts.”
Interesting. What does that mean? Ace tongues at the corner of one of his fangs and considers asking.
He sits up, hunched over his knees. “Sabo. You will be fine. If anyone’s gonna embarrass themselves it's me.” Now that he thinks about it, that's pretty likely. His head dips as if the force of gravity hit it all at once, and he rubs the base of his skull. “Sorry. I wouldn't bug you with this if it wasn't… believe me, it's just…”
Something gets caught in his throat.
“No, Ace, you can always ask.” Sabo is fast to sit down next to him. “I want you to ask.”
“Hey…”
“You’re my brother,” Sabo says firmly.
Ace can’t do anything but laugh. That really was one of the best ideas he ever had. He could get half-drunk on it at any time. He lifts his arm for Sabo to cross. Sabo returns the echo of their surprisingly idyllic childhood, then settles back into place, looking rather mindful of… something. That’s the thing with Sabo. He always seems to have a thousand things on his mind, but you can’t guess when or even if they’re going to come up. Ace leans over and nudges his shoulder. “I’d do the same for you if you had a bad cycle,” he swears, “you know that, right? Drop anything to take your knot.”
Sabo’s shoulders shake with his laughter, though it winds down fast and thin. His eyes flit away. “Dude, stop.”
Ace grins, leaning over.
“Huh, maybe it is starting early…” “Ace, I mean it, please,” Sabo coughs into his hand and then stares at Ace so intently that any playfulness snuffs out. “I need to be prepared for your heat, as much as possible.” Ace blinks a few times. There’s an absurd amount of pomp and circumstance around this. It’s embarrassing, humbling– unexpected. He scoots closer and slaps his hand on Sabo’s back, hard. “Don’t treat it like a chore,” he says cheerfully. “You can have fun, too! I trust ya, and I’m not fragile. I’ve been working on my haki, I could probably kick your ass now–” “That’s not what I mean either,” Sabo says, ruefully shaking his head, but he doesn’t elaborate and Ace is getting sleepy. Sabo pats his thigh and stands up, winding an arm back to loosen up. “Alright, I’ll take care of reading material and the food ‘n water. You’ve got the clothes for nesting. Anything else?” “Nope,” Ace says. He said he was low maintenance and he means it. He shoots finger-guns. “Just you and that dick!” Sabo snorts. Ace tracks his movement and finds himself standing up, walking along to the door. Restless, suddenly. “Good night, Ace.” “Night, Sabo.” They stare at each other. Desire comes to life on the tip of Ace’s tongue. His skin prickles with it.
Sabo is helping him. It’s too much to ask for anything else– especially not after all of Ace’s insistence that he didn’t even have his pre-heat yet. This isn’t need. Not his health. It’s just wanting. Inexplicable, childish wanting. Now that he’s going, Ace wants him to stay. With his hands, which touch Ace so easily; and his tough, pretty smile; and his scent, like the high canopies of the forest stretching toward the sun. In this stuttering, overborne moment, for once, Ace is unable to get his head around the feeling they’re sharing. There’s a huff– it could be either of them– and then Sabo nods, turns the knob, and leaves. Ace waves. Stands there, processing. When nobody and nothing else so much as crosses in front of his room in the next few minutes, Ace free falls into his privacy– into that clunky bed that’s so much more agreeable when arranged to soothe his instincts. Sabo’s offerings are washed in his scent. Ace buries his face in them. His heat is going to colossally thrash him this year. Now he’s stuck inside this tiny, sterile room for a while, too. And he is so, so lucky. The longer he has his nose to Sabo’s shirt, the luckier he feels.
It’s unfair of him to want more. -
Sabo comes in the morning with a box of newspapers and a tray of breakfast. He has enough sense to have brought enough for both of them to eat together– they make room to do so on the floor. It’s surprisingly cozy. Ace cheerfully gnaws on toast and downs orange juice while pawing at the pages, eyebrows raised at this or that headline. He always grins whenever he sees “straw hat” emblazoned on the front pages. Sabo has the same enthusiasm, finding Ace first thing to show him whenever something new comes up. It’s been a little while, though. “D’you think he’s okay,” Ace asks, mouth half-full of apple as he holds up one of the more recent ones. Sabo looks up, slurps the rest of a ham slice into his mouth, pauses. “... Of course he is.” “Uhuh.” Another bite. “Why’d you have to stop and think about it?” “He’s a little reckless, isn’t he?” Sabo notes lightly. “But you said yourself that it always works out for him.” He did say that. It does seem a little suspect though. Ace runs his hand back through his hair again, frowning. He knows Luffy is much bigger and stronger than he used to be. He’s reliable, in his own way. His friends will take care of him. All things that Ace has thought to himself any number of times, with increased frequency in the last few weeks. He can’t wait to start walking himself back from the edge.
“Hey, it’s perfectly natural for an older brother to worry,” says Ace. “Sure is. Do you wish he was here?” “Yeah, a little,” Ace admits, since it’s Sabo– then he immediately thinks better of it. “Well. No, he should be out there becoming King of the Pirates, yeah?”
One-handed, he shifts some of the pages aside to find a picture of Luffy– well, a picture of Luffy’s wacky limbs splayed across the sky in some foreign land. How can you not root for him? When he glances up, Sabo’s smiling just the same as he is. “Yeah, of course,” Sabo replies. “You know… you know we can call him, right? Well, call the Sunny to talk to him.” Ace huffs. “What’s he gonna say? It’ll be the same as always. That kid....” He takes a deep breath. “We’ll see him when we see him.” “Alright, well, if I call him I’ll say you’re busy–” “Hey, if you’re gonna call him anyway, that’s different–” Sabo snickers. Ace starts cleaning up, annoyed again that Sabo has to play errand boy for him until his heat starts kicking his ass. “How are you feeling?” Sabo asks, setting the box of newspapers aside. “Fine–” Ace pauses when he feels Sabo’s bare hand on his forehead. He squints at him critically, an incredulous joke on his lips, but again, Sabo’s so intense at random times. It’s less work to just let him tire himself out. “You know,” Ace reminds him, gently lowering his hand, “you can’t really check my temperature ‘cause of the whole–” Sabo almost squawks when Ace makes use of his logia from the shoulders up, torn into red and orange flames licking the still air, then settling back into flesh. Sabo blinks at him, annoyed, while Ace gets his laugh in.
ummmm ur honor i love them. anyway yeah the idea is like. ace in heat is very Not low maintenance and wait. this:
Ace in heat was boldly confrontational, glaring at Sabo like that.
He started up with I’m sorry only to realize that Ace was channeling all that mysterious ire at his mouth– or, no, at the dull, thin bars of the alpha muzzle strapped over it.
“You going to keep the gloves on, too?” Ace asked scathingly.
“Do you want me to?”
“No.”
instead of finishing the rest of this fic can't i just.. RP it or smth...

Teach Me (Part 1)
FINALLY STARTING MY NICO ROBIN FIC.
I haven't reached an ending that I feel satisfied with Forget Me so that will be on hold for now.
Might randomly update it though.
Warning : Omegaverse. Alpha!Reader x Omega!Nico Robin.
Summary :
You aren't smart.
And to be fair with you, you aren't that dumb either (Not as much as you thought anyway).
But this ridiculous crush on Nico Robin?
The hottest, smartest, kindest and straighest woman to ever live?
Probably one of your dumbest ideas.
You groan as you look over your history and latin exam papers.
How did it get so bad?
Why are you on the verge of failing right now?
"Where the fuck did I go wrong??" You groan again to no one in particular when your three sworn brothers came one by one.
You look at them and sigh.
Monkey D. Luffy. New member of the boxing team. His agile footwork and determination are a force to be reckon with. His dream is to surpass and defeat Kaido.
Portgas D. Ace. Quarterback of the football team. Ace is also a well-known playboy with his charms and good looks.
Sabo. The new member of the mma club. He actually wanted to get into politics but decided to change his mind and get into sports particularly, martial arts.
And there was you. All four you were known campus-wide as 4I.
It was an old nickname back from middle school that still stuck to this day because of Nami.
Once she called all of you that and you all turned to her, it was over.
"Where's Nami and Chopper?" You were desperate now, you can't fail subjects, it felt like you were losing the imaginary battle for Robin's heart.
Right. Nico Robin. One of the smartest students ever at GLU. She has so many awards to her name and she was still a student. You just know that her late mother would be so proud of her.
"Why are you looking for them?" Luffy asks as he settles in the seat beside you. Luffy's crew actually consists of Robin, Zoro, Chopper, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Franky, Brook and even a senior, Jimbei.
How they all got together was not disclosed to you. And you are not that curious. Your brothers have their own lives. They have their own friends.
"I need help." You groan as you show them your exam papers that barely passed. The three boys looked at it as you look away.
You stare at her from afar, knowing that she was reading yet another difficult book that would be too much for you.
"How can I ask her? Damn it, would she even accept it-" You mumble to yourself.
"Who do you need to ask?" Luffy asks and you glare at him.
"How did the three of you do on your exams?" The three sworn brothers of yours all pretended to be busy with their bags. "Answer me!" You growl at them and they all stop.
"Bad." "I failed two subjects." "I passed everything, hey!" You deadpan at Sabo.
"Really? Did you ace any subject?" He looks away at that and you groan. "I barely passed two subjects but I did good on everything else."
"How many subjects did you take this semester again?" You glare at Ace who just grins at you.
"I took seven! History and Latin are killing me right now." You groan as you look at your phone. "I need someone smart to teach me."
"Why not ask Robin then?" You perk up at that then you look at Luffy.
"What. Do you know her??" You were pretty sure that there are question marks floating around you by now.
"Yeah?" Luffy gulps down the food in his mouth. "She's friends with Nami and Chopper. They're both pretty smart too."
"Okay, I'm going to ask Chopper and Nami to intro-"
"HEY, ROBIN!" Almost everyone in the cafeteria looks at Luffy and you blush at the attention. Even Robin, the girl you've been wanting to ask out on a date raises an eyebrow at your direction.
"Luffy-" Before you could scold him, Luffy is dragging you already to Robin's table. "WHA- LUFFY-"
"Robin!" Luffy grins at Robin and you can't help the blush on your face as you looked everywhere but her. "Would you mind teaching my little sis, Y/N?"
"What little sis- We're the same age, you asswipe!" You hold Luffy's collar and he just grins at you.
"You're still little sis. You joined us last, after all."
"That's not how it works-"
"Sure." You stop at that then look at Robin. "I don't mind." You blush again as you release Luffy.
You'll forgive him this time.
-
You shouldn't have asked her.
Fuck. You're nervous and you haven't even seen her yet.
"Stop panicking, Y/N." You try to calm yourself down to no avail.
Both you and Robin agreed earlier to meet up in the library after 4 pm. It was right after your last class.
"Oh. You really did ask for her help." You turn around and see Nami and Chopper together with Franky.
"Hey, Nami. Hey, Chopper. Wait-"
"She's studying with us, idiot. Now, come on." Nami drags you inside the library and you clench your fist.
Of course, you two wouldn't be alone. Why did you think that was the case?
"You guys finally came." Robin greets and you spot Sanji beside her.
What the hell? Did they all just decide to meet up here or something?
"And that's my cue to leave. I still need to get to my next class. See you, Robin-chwan! Nami-chwan!" The lovesick cook bids his goodbye and you can't help the pit in your stomach.
The Strawhat Crew was a tight circle of friends. One that you didn't even try to get into even if Luffy insisted sometimes. You just didn't fit in with them.
"Did you call everyone else? Is Luffy going to be here too??" Nami asks as she places down her bag in the seat across from Robin.
"Sanji just stopped by when he saw me. It'd be a miracle if any of us can get Luffy in here." You wanted to agree but you opted to stay silent as you also place down your bag beside Chopper.
"Why are you over there?" Nami asks and you freeze at that. "Didn't you ask Robin for help? Sit beside her, for god's sake." You wanted to glare at Nami, to make her stop but you knew you couldn't. The woman scared you even if Luffy insisted that she was just intimidating. You nod in agreement and place down your bag beside Robin who hums as you get out your notebook and books.
-
You hate Latin. Why did you ever think it was a good idea to take this subject?
You groan in frustration as you scratch your head. Robin has been nothing but patient to you but you knew that she was also getting irritated by now.
"Let's take a break, shall we?" Robin says and you look at the clock.
"Shit. It's ten!?" You quickly shove your things inside your bag. "I'm so sorry but I have to go! I have work! Thanks for the help!" You run away from the group and Nami hums.
"Right. She has that dangerous part-time job of hers. I'm surprised that Ace and Sabo hasn't made her quit it yet."
"What job?" Robin asks out of curiosity and Nami hums.
"She's a security at a club. Undercover, actually since it's pretty fancy." Robin hums.
"Wait, what club?" Frank asks and Nami thinks about it for a second.
"Um. I think it was Amazon Lily."
"Wait, isn't that where Boa works??"
"Yep." Nami puts her focus back on her book as Robin thinks about you.
-
You change into your uniform and sigh.
You were late and got scolded by Boa again. Even though the both of you were the same age, Boa is already the manager of Amazon Lily.
"Sorry about being late, Sonia." You apologize to the bartender of the night who just smiles at you.
"You're still good, there's just a few customers right now." She places a non-alcoholic drink in front of you and you thank her.
You look around Amazon Lily and observe everyone.
Your job was simple enough. Prevent any disasters from befalling the club for the night.
Even if you were not as interested as your brothers into sports or martial arts, you could still hold on your own when it comes to fighting. After all, the four of you all had the same teacher. You shudder as you think about Grandpa Garp's teaching methods.
'Never again.' You think to yourself as you take a sip of your drink.
"You new here?" A woman asks as she takes a seat beside you and you smirk at her.
"No, ma'am, not new." You show her your id and badge then she giggles.
"You look young to be a security staff." And there it is. When people see your badge, they always doubt you.
"I am young, ma'am but trust me, I am also part of the staff." As if on cue, you hear a ruckus on a table and sigh as you put down your drink. You leave the woman alone and go to the table.
"Is there something wrong, sir?" You ask the man who was clearly drunk and yet still trying to pick up girls. Jesus. You hate men like this.
"What- I was just trying to talk to them!" The man defends and the alcohol breath hits you in full force. You sigh in exasperation and look at Boa who gestures to let the man out.
"Sir, I'm afraid that you're causing a ruckus now. Please leave the premise immediately or I wi-" He swings his fist at you with no warning and you quickly dodge it. "I warned you, sir." You quickly deliver a chop to his neck and he loses consciousness before he even hits the floor. "So sorry for that, madams. A round of drinks shall be provided on the house for your trouble." The stunned women just nods as you smile at them. You signal to one of the waitresses and she nods at you. You hoist the man from the floor and carry him outside.
"A fight?" Mari asks and you shake your head at her.
"A drunk." Mari hums as you place him on the curb and take his phone from his pocket. You text whoever is on there to pick him up and take his wallet. You take a picture of his id and hum as you send it to Boa. She only gives you a thumbs up and you pocket your phone. You secure his wallet and phone in his pants and go back inside. Mari should be able to keep an eye on him until he was picked up by whoever you texted.
Boa simply gives you a thumbs up and you just stare at her until she looks away from you.
"She was just complimenting you, you know?" Ran says to you and you shrug at her as you take your seat.
"I didn't do much."
"You literally just made sure our customers were safe, what do yo-" You shush Ran away and she hits you lightly before going back to her work.
Compliments were never your forte. Whether you were the one receiving or giving it.
You take out your phone for a second and hum as you see a text from Nami.
Nami : Are you still at work?
You raise an eyebrow at her question and glance around to see if Boa is watching. She wasn't so you quickly reply to Nami.
You : Why are you asking?
Nami : Just answer.
You groan at her. Nami was a frenemy of yours. She was intimidating as fuck and has always scared you. But she can be helpful when she can.
You : I am. WHY?
Nami : Photo attached.
You raise an eyebrow and quickly look away from your phone as you were surely blushing by now. Nami just sent you a photo of the Strawhat crew in somewhat fancy clothes. You were blushing because of Robin's clothes. She was wearing a revealing dress that left little to the imagination.
You : PLEASE DO NOT COME. NAMI, I'M BEGGING.
Nami : Too late. Even Luffy agreed already.
You : Can you at least make Robin change???
Nami : What? Why?
You : Because she's too-
Your reply gets cut off as Boa pinches your cheek.
"Y/N! What did I tell you about texting while working?"
"That I shouldn't do it?"
"AND!? What are you doing!?" You sigh.
"Texting. In my defense, something more distracting are coming."
"Robin?"
"What- how-" Boa rolls her eyes at you.
"I'm your friend, dolt. I've seen how you look at her." Boa glances at your phone and groan. "Shit. She really needs to change. You're going to drool." You blush at her.
"What-"
"I'm letting Mari know. Catch the jacket that I'm going to give you." You nod and you glance at the photo again.
'Fuck.' You feel your pheromones trying to release themselves but you don't let them. That was one of the things that Garp taught right. How to control your goddamn pheromones so Omegas won't be uncomfortable around you.
"Catch!" That was the only warning you get from Boa but you still manage to catch the measly thrown jacket. You hum as you wear it and hope to god that it will be enough.
-
After half an hour, you were observing everyone when almost everyone's eyes went to the door. You can't help but freeze as the Strawhat crew strides inside the club.
"Y/N!" Luffy runs to you and excitedly tells you about his practice today. You say sorry to him in your head already as you can't keep your eyes off Robin. That picture from Nami had nothing on the real deal.
"Y/N?" Luffy asks, oblivious as to why you're not functioning anymore, and Boa pinches your side to get you out of your daze.
"The jacket, dolt." She says and you quickly take off the jacket that your wearing and go up to Robin.
"Here." You say and put the jacket on her. "It can get cold in here." You defend the action and clear your throat. "You guys must want a table. There should be an empty one." You play the role of a proper host and lead them to their table.
"I thought you were security here?" Nami asks with an eyebrow raised at you and you nod.
"I am." You show your badge to them and Nami hums.
"Why are you not in uniform then?" You smile.
"Because it's easier to observe inside the club than outside." You hear a cry and narrow your eyes at some people in the corner. You quickly leave the Strawhat Crew's table and get in time as a glass was almost emptied on Daisy. You groan as your shirt get soaked and your abs get exposed.
"This shirt cost me 100 beris, damn it." You sigh and look at the woman before you, still holding the emptied glass then at Daisy who was clinging onto your back now. "Ma'am, is there any justifiable reason on why you are trying to harass one of our staff?"
"Harass? That woman brought the wrong order! It's only reasonable to-" The woman stops as you glare at her.
"Please leave this establishment right now. Amazon Lily is not responsible for your attitude nor are we going to continue serving your pompous ass. If she got the order wrong then just tell her! You don't have to dump a whole drink on her!" You can't help the growl that escapes you. The Amazon Lily staff were the kindest people you've ever met. They even tolerated you as their friend.
"What- Is that how you talk to a customer!?" The woman gets soaked and you look at Boa who just simply gives you the bucket and takes a picture of the woman.
"You are banned now. I suggest that you don't ever come back here again. My people are not your servants. They are only doing their jobs and they are to be respected. Go away." The woman scoffs then leaves as you console Daisy who still hasn't stopped shaking. "Take her to the back and get changed. I'll get Ran." You nod as you lead Daisy to the back room.
After you make sure that Daisy is going to be okay, you change your shirt and go back to the bar.
"Nice work." Sonia greets as she places a drink in front of you. You down the drink wordlessly and clench your fist to calm yourself down.
"You okay?" You hear a familiar voice ask and you look up to see Robin still in your jacket. You can't even appreciate that she looks good in the jacket as you nod.
"I'll be fine in a minute." You glance at Luffy who was enjoying eating at their table and hum. At least he was not being protective.
"It must be hard to control yourself. I know Luffy doesn't." You smile at that.
"One of the reasons why he got into boxing, really." Robin smiles at you. "Sorry you had to see all that."
"No worries. I didn't know Hancock is your friend."
"She's not. She's my boss."
"Boss? She studies at GLU."
"And she manages this place."
"That is actually amazing."
"It is. The owner is her adoptive grandmother. Not that it matters. Hancock is an amazing manager."
"Sounds like you admire her." You hum.
"I do. She's cool."
"Thanks for the jacket, by the way. I wasn't so sure with the dress but-"
"The dress looks amazing on you but uh- well- some people might hit on you-"
"They should. I need a date, to be honest."
"Oh? Really?"
"Yeah. I need to make Franky jealous."
"Oh. Oh. Y-you have a crush on him?" You try not to stutter. You already knew that you had a stupid crush anyway.
"Kind of? Bon Clay says I need to date more so here I am."
"What do you-" Before you finish, there was a crash and you turn around to see a drunk guy on the dance floor. "Fucking- sorry, I need to take care of that." Robin nods at you as you walk towards the drunk. She watches as you help the drunk guy's friends drag him outside.
"You're staring." Sonia says to Robin who hums.
"I didn't know she was that strong."
"Aren't you friends with Luffy?"
"Yes. Not her." Robin points out and Sonia nods.
"Y/N is- she's an introvert." Robin nods in agreement. "One of the reasons why she doesn't have a crew." Robin turns to Sonia.
"Not even Kuja?" Sonia shakes her head. "I thought she was."
"She's the only non-Kuja member that's allowed to work here."
"Why?"
"She saved Elder Nyon. Like three times, honestly, and the owner offered her this job." Robin hums as she takes a sip of her drink.
"She's the same as Luffy then? Always saving the weak?" You stop at her question and sigh. Ah. So that's why she approached you. Because you're the sister of Luffy. That's probably why she accepted teaching you too.
'I shouldn't bother her anymore.' You thought to yourself as you approach Hancock and Angel. Angel raises an eyebrow at you.
"Your crush is at the bar?" Angel says and you shrug.
"She's straight."
"And I thought Hancock was too but she went out with me."
"Don't assume people's sexualities, Y/N." Hancock agrees with her girlfriend and you smile sadly at them.
"She just said that she has a crush on Franky. Oh. And she only agreed to teach me because of Luffy."
"Shit. She really said so?" You nod and Angel pats your back.
"You'll find someone else. Another Omega who'll take one look at you and claim you." You raise an eyebrow at Hancock then at Angel.
"Like you did with Angel?" Hancock blushes then slaps your arm. "Ow. That hurts, Boa."
"Shut up." You laugh at her blushing face and Robin looks at you.
Oh. She has never seen you smile before.
Robin stares at you before her attention was taken by Nami waving her hand in front of her face.
"You okay?" Robin nods at her. "We're going. Zoro is drunk and Luffy has eaten his fill. These two should be grateful that they have their sports. Seriously."
"Oh. Okay."
"Have you seen Y/N? I have to give her something."
"She's right there." Robin points out where you last were but you were nowhere to be found. "Uh."
"Luffy giving you trouble, Nami? I can carry him?"
"Zoro might need it more."
"Ugh. Zoro stinks."
"He's a customer?"
"So? He still stinks of alcohol."
"Damn. You ruthless. Here." Nami holds out a pamphlet and you raise an eyebrow at her as you take it.
"Tashigi wanted to invite you to the kendo club but she didn't see you earlier so she gave me that when she knew that I was going here."
"Oh. Huh. I never used a sword in my life though?"
"She can teach you?"
"No, Thank you. Sports are not for me. I'd rather read."
"How are you failing two subjects?"
"History and I never agreed with each other. Just ask Luffy. Latin is just- hard."
"Why did you take it then?"
"Because learning a new language is awesome... In theory. It's so hard." You whine and Nami laughs at you. You both stop when Zoro comes over the bar and orders more sake from Sonia. You and Nami look at each other and she points at him.
"No. Not yet, one-"
"Do your job." You groan at her then approach Zoro.
"Zoro, bro. You're cut off. Let's get you home."
"Bro. I will literally carry you. Stop drinking." Zoro takes one look at your serious face and groans.
"Fine. I'll stop. You should probably carry him, though." He points to Luffy who was so full that he's sleeping on the table.
"I will. Gather everyone up at front. I'll be there in a second." Nami gives you a thumbs then she, Robin and Zoro walk outside the bar. You see the other Strawhats follow suit and hum as you carry Luffy through your shoulder.
"He's not dead, is he?" Hancock asks and you smile at her.
"Certainly feels like it." You grunt as Luffy mumbles something in his sleep then continue walking outside.
"I didn't know Luffy drunk this hard???" Mari asks you as you carry him outside.
"He didn't drink." You say as a matter of fact.
"What???" Mari asks again, just as confused.
"He ate." You grin at her then brings him to his crew.
"Makes sense now." Mari mumbles to herself.
"Heya, Strawhats." You say and everyone turns to you. All of them stifling a laugh as they see you carrying Luffy like a sack. "So, who's-"
"Chopper. He didn't drink anything at all." You hum.
"He's the designated driver?"
"He and Franky somehow always lose rock, paper, scissors." You snicker just as the van stops in front of you.
"Heya, Y/N!" Chopper greets you and you grin at him.
"Heya, Chopper! Wait, where do I place-"
"On the back, Zoro will sit with him." Nami says and you nod as you carry Luffy to the back of the van.
"Thanks, Y/N." Zoro bumps his fist lightly on your shoulder and you nod at him.
"Be careful driving, Chopper!" You wave them goodbye after making sure that they're all accounted for. You sigh in relief as they drive away and just as about you were about to enter the club, you groan. "The jacket. Damn it! That was- wait, whose jacket was that??"
Meanwhile...
Robin plops down on her and sighs in relief as she takes off her high heels.
Clubbing was not her forte. At all. She shrugs off the jacket that you gave her then she smiles. Your scent was still clearly on it. She sniffs the collar of the jacket and smiles.
'It smells like sandalwood.' She noted in her head. 'Cooling and relaxing.' She places the jacket on the side of her bed then she gets ready to sleep.
As Robin lays down on her bed, she pulls the jacket closer and your scent envelops her. She sleeps that night, body completely relaxed and comfortable.
-
"Wait, whose jacket was that, Hancock??? Did you give somebod-"
"It was yours, idiot. I knew you forgot about it." You tilt your head at her.
"Mine???? Why do you have my-"
"Because you gave it to Ran when some customers tried to harass her after her shift. You beat them up a week ago, remember?"
"Oh. Oh! That time!" Hancock groans at you.
"You idiot really is Luffy's sister." She mumbles as she gets back into her office.

we are so back sabolaw nation
That's right, lads. I'm working on something new! I still ship them!!
Omegaverse. What if omega Sabo and alpha Law? Sabo has this warm, spicy smell like medicinal oils and Law smells like soap and shampoo mixed with rubbing alcohol.
Sabo doesn't like his scent. He thinks it's too hot and irritating. Most alphas don't like that but Ace and Luffy think it suits him. Feisty, Ace said with a suggestive smile. Cool! Luffy said with bright eyes.
Sabo's a fierce and highly self-reliant omega. Alongside that, Law's an awkward but respectful alpha. They grow to trust each other.
Law opens up about his interests first, which makes Sabo share his dreams about putting his architecture degree to good use to build omega safe houses. Law then shares about his background, about how Cora-san's an omega and why he liked Sabo's scent.
“I had a feeling this place smelt familiar when I first moved in. It’s a very warm smell. The closest thing I could think of is ginger, but it’s not really the same.”
“So it’s not terrible,” Sabo quipped.
“Not at all,” Law said, surprised Sabo would even think that.
He continued, “It reminds me of the incense my grandfather burns to honour the dead and the medicinal oils I use whenever I get cramps. It’s a very Asian smell. That’s what I meant when I said I didn’t expect you to smell like that. I didn’t think I’d get to smell that again in a country full of white people. It’s nice. It reminds me of my childhood.”
I think this is the moment that Sabo finally fell in love... Anyways, enjoy my wips below. I think I cooked!
#sabolaw#slawbo#revolutionary sabo#trafalgar law#sabo is an omega#law is an alpha#and i'm jacqueline whoppee!#jacqueline's writing wips#this came to me in a vision because I wanted to reconcile so many different ideas#i had a lot of hcs about law#i fr think he'd be into kpop girl groups#he'd have his dorky side but can read Sabo well enough#sabo's ambitious and is into things that are creative but also practical#he wants to make a difference in his own way#Gack i also want to write him as confident and insecure#shoutout to sunmi's narcissism for inspiration

One Piece / LawLu fic Idea: Omegaverse
Back again with a fic idea! I wanted to do something different with an omegaverse so I thought of using the One Piece universe to explore it. Hope you'll give it a chance and have a read
Me being a fan of LawLu, this fic idea will have them as the main focus. Anyways, the basic premise is this:
Alphas and Omegas are only Devil Fruit users as it's the fruit's way to counter the water weakness. If a user is hit with sea water or seastones, their cores flare up which will give them an energy boost and even a chance to burst out of the water surface
A Devil Fruit user's secondary gender is decided by being the opposite of their zodiac elements to balance out the changes within their bodies
Non-Devil Fruits users are known as Betas
There's no caste within the 3 genders as both Alphas and Omegas are equals and powerful in different ways
Ruts and Heats still exist but the 'mating cycle' part of it is not exactly the main point of Ruts and Heats. It's also a way for the user's body to grow stronger/develop each time they go thru or even survive their Ruts and Heats so they can withstand the growing powers of their respective fruits
Ruts and Heats usually happens every 6 months but it can also depend on the individual as there are those who gets Ruts/Heats every 3 months or less
Male Omegas can get pregnant while Female Alphas can impregnate betas and omegas just like in any omegaverse
Alphas and Omegas have heightened senses, especially their sense of smell
Mated Alpha/Omega pairs are very powerful, especially fated pairs as they have the very rare possibility to use each other's Devil Fruit and even combine it
Physically, alphas and omegas have fangs and slited pupils that sets them apart from others. When highly emotional, their eyes can glow amber or gold. However, there are those like Law who have their eyes permanently gold after undergoing unbearable trauma at a too young age
Alphas and Omegas have hunter instincts
Those born under the Earth and Fire elements (which are typically yang elements) are OMEGAS:
Luffy (Earth)
Eustass Kid (Earth) -yes, I made Kid an omega, deal with it-
Ace (Earth)
Brook (Fire)
Chopper (Earth)
While those born under the Water and Wind elements (which are typically yin) are ALPHAS:
Law (Wind)
Sabo (Water)
Marco (Wind)
Killer (Water)
______
Well, that's all I've got for now. Hopefully will add more when inspiration hits. If you've read this far, then I thank you. It means a lot that you did 👍😍

When they’re teenagers I def think Ace and sabo would try new things now with heir bodies being more grown up and mature with the help of puberty, Ace would and still is a bit insecure of trying new things bc he constantly paranoid of hurting Sabo, needing reassurance anytime they’d do something suggestive, he’s a gentleman and caring to Sabos body but once he has permission as an alpha with his omega, he goes all out.
Pregnancy scares happen😭 allot, so sabo takes pregnancy tests everytime they do it. And slaps it against sorry aces forehead..
