Breakfast at the B&B, then a drive to Volterra. One of the many hill towns in Tuscany. There's an excellent Etruscan Museum there, since this is the heart of Etruscan territory. A good chunk of what's been found are funary objects. It looks like the artisans had specific motifs they used repeatedly, and the museum is set up so you can see the changes in the patterns.
Also at the museum is the Ombra della Sera, or Shadow of the Evening. It's such an usual sculpture for something so old (3rd century BC).
Volterra is a lovely little town, easily walked, which is good because you can't drive there. The Cathedral wasn't especially exciting, but that's ok.

I haven't pestered you with Hitman asks lately and was fiercely reminded of that today when I met a man on vacation. He not only looks like Lucas as a silver fox, he dresses like him as well? Similar face, hair completely silver and a bit longer, dark jeans, black tshirt, dark green longsleeve shirt on top....I didn't take a pic bc privacy but wow, really similar. So my question: what is Lucas Grey secretly doing in Italy?
I love being pestered with Hitman questions - it's like coming home and finding a message saying they've thought of you ❤
And oh boy, how I wish I could have seen that man! He sounds gorgeous (like Lucas). Damn privacy
But why is he in Italy? Well, he's probably there to get a mafia boss Salvatore "Il Ombra" Conti.
Conti has been in hiding for years, but has now kidnapped a bunch of scientists who have been working on some new technology. Olivia sends Grey deep into the Italian underworld to gather information and track down the mob boss. She quickly finds evidence of plans to develop a technology that can disrupt and manipulate global communication networks. The scientists have been working for many years on behalf of the government to invent something similar. The mafia boss now wants to use the scientists' knowledge to utilise the technology himself or sell it to the highest bidder. Olivia manages to publish the secret files to the public first, while Grey is able to free the scientists. In a small café on the outskirts of town, a mafia boss is murdered by two capable hands of a certain bald man. Diana makes sure that forensics cover all traces to the agents.
And you've probably just caught Lucas Grey going to get pizza for everyone. Which begs the question: What kind of pizza would they order?
Oh and - have a wonderful holiday ❤☀ I hope you're having a relaxing time and lots of sun!

At The Demon Bar, all patrons are welcome as long as they follow the rules and don't cause any trouble. A majority of the patrons are good people but the bar's neutral zone policy does allow for more shady individuals to stop by. There are criminals who seek respite here. Any visiting cops or authority figures can't do anything about it while on the bar's grounds, even if a wanted person is standing inches from their face. That said, these dubious patrons can't do anything they want, they can't pickpocket or pick fights or else they get kicked out or lose their immunity to being arrested on the spot.
Alright, I only have one more page left to edit and post! It's just that I haven't been able to get much work done on it because my mind has been very distracted by... current events. (Stress is a bitch and I'm pretty sure it keeps giving me tension headaches yaaaaaaaay. Stay safe everyone.)
And as always I got a big old lore dump down below for all these guys
Luckius Trick is a dastardly demon of luck. His magic centers around stealing the luck from those around him and using it for himself. Before he came to Ombra Nera to hide out, he was a member of a notorious gang known for stealing thousands of dollars worth of cash and property. He was the one in charge of the escape plan, always happening to come across a spare key, a floor grate with a loose bolt, an unlocked door to the security camera room. Luckius has actually been arrested on several occasions, but every time he gets out with the stupidest amount of luck. He once was able to walk out of a jail cell because a wall spontaneous fell over due to poor infrastructure. This guy is a bastard. An absolutely sly, overpowered, bastard.
Fiura is an angel of fire who moved away from her rural southern town to escape to Ombra Nera. She has very... let's say outdated viewpoints when it comes to people's rights. She's especially outspoken about angel supremacy, how demons need to go back to hell where they belong, and how humans are below angels. It's theorized that her hate has caused her to become a fallen angel with a darkened look and tattered wings. Since Ombra Nera has a very progressive atmosphere, most people stay away from her and try to ignore her racist remarks. The only people Fiura has a connection to is Taurrosk, a demon she shares a home with and has similar viewpoints as her, and Luckius who's always trying to push his luck to actually become her friend and perhaps tweak her opinions a bit.
Taurrosk (yes I know I misspelled his name in the drawing) is a demon of war with a very concerning criminal background. He's a member of an extremist group who believes demons have fallen from honor and have gotten all soft from coexisting with humans in the mortal world. All demons should be sent back to hell to return to their warrior roots and one day ravage the inferior souls of humans. He's had several charges of assault, vandalism, and theft pinned against him, thus he has taken shelter in the twisting dark forest north of Ombra Nera to make it impossible for authorities to find him. He took in Fiura as a roommate since she had nowhere to go but he's very controlling of her and has made numerous advances on her even though she clearly has no interest. He especially hates it when Luckius tries to talk to Fiura.
Terry, also known as Terry the Terror is a fear demon down on his luck. He partakes in numerous scams and shady side hustles to make ends meet, everything from scam calls to credit card theft. He wanted to try and make a living in an honest way, but his appearance is often too unsettling for most employers to want to hire him. Even to mundane humans who can't see magic and perceive Terry as a normal human have remarked that his appearance is frightening, often noting some kind of severe scaring or disfiguration. At some point, Terry just gave up on getting a real job, his face is too scary and he doesn't have the career skills to make him worth hiring. He has been offered help and welfare resources, but he's too stubborn and prideful to take it.
To the people of Ombra Nera and the patrons of the bar, Belhor is just another demon. But little do most know, that isn't the only name he has gone by. Belias, Berial, Belial, the grand archdemon price and warlord. Thousands of years ago, he was one of the many generals of hell who led soldiers into battle against the angels so they may be the only ones to harvest the power of human souls. But that was a very long time ago, the war ended, a truce was signed, and souls are forbidden from being taken. He eventually decided to retire, the humans were making some cool things and his wealth as an archdemon allowed him to casually indulge in whatever he desired. In modern day he's found a serious liking for diet sodas, they're so full of chemicals and artificial ingredients yet so palatable, he honestly can't believe humans let themselves drink the stuff.
Ax is one edgy dude, he's a demon of war and shadow, he knows his way around knives, he's always got that cool and tough personality, and he refuses to be called by his real name Arlo. He's kind of cartoonishly edgy but at the same time he actually is rather terrifying. He's a skilled hitman who will take whatever job given to him; angel, demon, human, monster, good, bad, corporate, political, it doesn't matter as long as there isn't a high chance of him getting killed. Since he's a try hard for portraying himself as a brooding loner, he often ends up sitting in the dark corners of the bar. This has led him to crossing paths with other loners like Terry and Belhor, and the three of them eventually became casual drinking buddies.

rewind worldbuilding
got some school stuff and a few other priorities right now, so the rewind smallfeather post's gonna take a bit (not mirror magic long, just a day or so)
in the meantime, here's some worldbuilding of the rewind universe! (wip as im not 100% up to speed with the ombra lore lmao)
Ruined Cities (North)
A sort of replacement of the forests in the regular Ombra universe, ruins of urban areas are the most common sight in the rewind universe, with vines and vegetation seen sprouting from long-destroyed cities. despite the buildings looking to be destroyed in the past decade or so, nobody old or young has ever remembered them in their original working-condition. A few unnamed settlements comprised primarily of safehouses can be found sprinkled across the cities.
The Countryside (South)
The rural counterpart to the ruined cities, the countryside consists of mostly empty marshes, with a few small forests sprinkled in-between. Occasionally while walking through this landscape, you'll find archaic war machines, overgrown and beyond repair, hidden away beneath dirt and grass. A few areas appear to be former battlefields, with ruined barracks, trenches, and more sitting around. However, no bodies can be seen.
Fort Whitlock (Southwest)
Once a moss-coated military fort, now converted into an off-beat village of outcasts. While Fort Whitlock has no real government nor law enforcement, the tight-knit community is usually quick to end disputes. The Rewind version of Misty Settlement.
Genesis City (Far North)
A secluded society, yet the main provider of goods in the Rewind world. Built on the innovation of restoring ruined factories to a functional state, Genesis City is more of a mill town than an actual city, with both working and living conditions being miserable. Most people that seek refuge here from the lawless outside do not come out alive. With a enforcement team designed to make sure workers stay in line, and constantly malfunctioning machinery, the lifestyle in Genesis City is a bleak one-way trip to the grave. The Rewind version of Rivertown, with some Mechatropolis lightly sprinkled in.
Mount Hendrix (Northeast)
The whispering elevated wilderness, containing nothing but long-abandoned ghost towns, pine trees, and snow. A few taverns, campsites, and cabins are the only civilization you'll find up here, spread few and far between. The steep rocky mountainsides make it difficult to traverse, on top of the heavy snowfall almost year-round. You only come up here to hide away, or freeze to death. A personal favorite spot of Sundance's.
(@ombrathefurry for the original world and characters rewind is based off of lmao)

For 100 OC Questions 💚
29. Do they use their body, mind, personality or force to get what they want?
32. When faced with a difficult decision do they get stronger or break?
41. How was their childhood?
29: Ombra almost never uses her body - in a seductive way - to her advantage as intimate physical touch - when it’s not with someone she’s been talking to for months - disgusts her to the core. However, I said “almost never”, so she may use this technique to the point that physical contact is not involved (For example she’ll give you empty promises of intimacy). Also, physical violence is not one of her priorities, but when it’s effective then why not?
Ombra will definitely try to get what she wants, and she will use her mind and personality for that. She was close to get her Ph.D in psychiatry, so it’s pretty easy for her to read people, extract their weaknesses and then use them against them. Thus, Ombra is a pretty intelligent, calculated person. She always comes up with a smart plan.
32: Ombra won’t break, definitely. Making touch decisions is a part of her job. She says. “When did I get that weak to lose myself over this?”
41: It was okay, to say the least. Ombra was this energetic, talkative child living in a small town in a dysfunctional society. She loved her parents, but they weren’t flawless especially not her mom. Her mom was a chronically angry, controlling woman with depression. She used to blame and scold Ombra for almost anything she did “wrong”. Ombra’s dad, however, was an opposing force to neutralize her mom sometimes.

Can u do yandere Isabella x outsider fem reader who isnt from encanto and was just wandering in the mountains and she came to encanto and met Isabella and now she wants to leave to go back to her family
Forever (Yandere Isabela x outsider! Fem! reader)
Tw: Kidnapping, schadenfrede (search it up.), unhealthy obsession, yandere themes.
You slowly heaved your way up the mountain, you stopped, finally making your way up the big piece of grass and dirt.
You were in awe, a beautiful village, almost perfect. A wide town, little houses mostly covering it. Some farmland as well, then a enourmous house that towered over the town. Like some castle in a fairytale.
You were careful on your way down, being careful not to slip or trip on anything.
Once making your way down the very steep slope, you decided to explore the village. To see what was there.
You then saw something that amazed you, a girl, a very beautiful girl in a purple dress. With dark choclate skin, and luscious dark brown hair. Ombraes of flowers sprouting from her hands, you weren't normally the type of gal who liked flowers. But this was amazing. You had never seen anything like it.
The woman and you suddenly locked eyes, you quickly looked away. Breaking the contact. But you could of swore she smiled at you, or winked.
You quickly snapped from your thought, when a finger softly tapped your shoulder. You turned around to see the same girl from last time, "are you okay?"
'Seriously? Thats your first question?! "Am I okay?" I'm not but-'
"Yea, I'm ok. Why do you ask?" You awkwardly replied back, only slightly being able to make eye contact. "Well, when I looked over to you, you looked a little confused." Isabela said bluntly, "oh well. Um. I'm not really around from here, I am a explorer. And I was climbing over the hills, and discovered this place." You explained, "so you're a outsider..." She said a little disgusted or just shocked, "is,something wrong with that?" You asked concerned, "oh no. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just we've never had someone come over the hills before." Isabela said looking down with slight worry, "why?" You asked. "Well, you see. These hills were created to protect us, well the whole village. And no one was meant to come out, or in." "Oh, I apologize! Do you want me to leave?" You asked with a slight sweat, "NO!" Isabela blurted out, "pardon?" You asked confused at the outburst, "my apologies." She quickly continued,
'ok?' You thought, a little weirded out.
"As a welcoming to the encanto, (the name of the town) would you like to come to my house for dinner?" Isabela offered kindly, completely calm now. "What about your-" she cut you off, "they will be fine with it. Trust me!" "O-okay then..." "See you at 7:00?" "Sure." "See you then!"
(Later on.)
You approached the big house slowly, a little nervous. Who knew what the family would think of you? Some random outsider who trespassed into their village, they could hate you for all you knew.
You knocked on the door gently, the door then opening on it's own.
'Wow, ok. Even a magic house, what doesn't she have?'
You then took a step into the house, suddenly it then shifted it's tiles like treadmill. Making you move, you didn't know where you were going until you saw Isabela pop out of nowhere in front of you. "(Y/n), you're finally here! Come, follow me." She bent her fingers in a motion to follow, she lead you to the dining room. Where all her family members sat, "please take a seat (y/n!)." Alma said bringing her hand out, pointing to the two empty seats, one for Isabela, and one for you.
You and Isabela both sat, you tapped your fingers gently on your thigh. Still nervous, Alma suddenly spoke.
"So (y/n), what brought you to the encanto?"
'Isabela told her...at least she isn't being rude about it.'
"Well I am a explorer, so. I found the hills and decided to climb them. And then found this place, I understand if you think if I'm a tresspasser." You spoke with complete understanding in your voice.
Alma had a shocked expression on her face, you could tell because of how wide her eyes were open. And her mouth was gaping open slightly.
"(Y/n) we don't think you're a tresspasser at all,-" Alma replied with a kind yet not bright voice.
"Y-you don't?" You asked looking up with disbelief on your face. "We don't at all think you're a tresspasser!" Isabela chimed in, attempting to brighten the mood.
"Thank you so much for understanding!" You said with a bright expression your face.
"You're welcome (y/n), now shall we eat?" Alma annouced to the family, everyone then digging into their food.
(After the dinner.)
After you had gotten to know the madrigals, they had offered for you to stay the night, since you had nowhere to sleep for the night. You of course took the offer and slept there, oh but that would be your biggest regret...
The sun shined onto your skin, as you heaved your backpack onto your back. Tying your shoelaces on your boots. You smiled ready to leave, to see your family once again. But as you went to open the door to the casita to leave, it wouldn't allow you to. "Casita, please let me out! I have to leave!" You quietly demanded, you pulled again. Your brows furrowing, the door wouldn't budge.
"Going somewhere?" You heard Isabela's voice say, in a sickly sweet tone. You turn around to see Isabela, at a snap of a finger, you were now in thorned vines. Wiggling, attempting to escape. But knowing you couldn't, you stopped.
Isabela then walked over to you, evilly smirking. "Isabela why are you doing this?!" You asked loudly, "because I'm making you mine." Isabela replied simply, you started to thrash around again. The vines only squeezing tighter. Isabela enjoying pain she gave you, the tiny thorns poking into your skin.
"Isabela, please, just let me go!" You begged, "nope." She replied with a sweet tone of voice, with evil tracing her tongue. "You're mine now, forever..."
(Damn this was long, lol.)

Earlier I posted about the intersex antifascist hero Florenci Pla Meseguer, known as "La Pastora".
Here's a song about him: Pastora, by the Catalan folk-rock band Ebri Knight.
Lyrics in Catalan and translation to English:
Al poble sóc la pastora, entre camins i carrers Però enmig de la rosada i els boscos feréstecs sóc una ombra més
In the town I'm the shepherd woman, between paths and streets, But among the dew and the wild forests I'm a shadow like any other
El meu nom sempre canvia entre les veus de la gent Sóc allà on ningú em troba, sóc fort com la flama i lliure com el vent
My name always changes in people's voices I'm there where nobody can find me, I'm strong as a flame and free as the wind
Ja no hi sóc però tremolen les branques Quan em senten llençar trets al cel Ja no hi sóc però neixo cada vespre En cada mirada on brillen els estels
I'm not there anymore but the branches shiver When they hear me shoot at the sky I'm not there anymore but I'm reborn every evening In every glance where the stars shine.
Sóc un ocell sense gàbia, sóc un vaixell sense rumb Bandoler de paraules, pastora de lluites fetes entre el fum
I'm a cageless bird, I'm a courseless ship Bandit of words, shepherd of fights made among the smoke.
Sóc l'alba i la matinada, sóc tots els móns oblidats Sóc les llargues petjades que tornen a viure de l'etern combat
I'm the sunrise and the early morning, I'm all the forgotten worlds I'm the eternal combat's long footsteps that come back to life
Ja no hi sóc però tremolen les branques Quan em senten llençar trets al cel Ja no hi sóc però neixo cada vespre En cada mirada on brillen els estels
I'm not there anymore but the branches shiver When they hear me shoot at the sky I'm not there anymore but I'm reborn every evening In every glance where the stars shine.
Vindran altres guerres, vindran altres anys I els dies de sempre se'ns faran estranys Vindran primaveres, hiverns i tardors Farem noves forces de les velles pors
Other wars will come, other years will come And the old days will become strange Springs, winters and autumns will come We'll make new strengths out of the old fears.

Well off the beaten path, SAINT FLEUR is a small hillside town famous for its figs. The town has narrow cobbled streets, many of which overlook a valley, and many medieval and Renaissance buildings, and a castle.
While exploring the town centre you will see many interesting medieval houses, small picturesque shady squares and the ornately carved 16th century Renaissance-style entrance to the Hôtel des Fleurs.
On a hot day, Saint Fleur, with its unusal number of waterfalls, fountains and ancient lavoirs, feels cool and refreshing. (As well, there are three small rivers which run alonside the town and attract a fair amount of recreational swimmers.) And, on its squares, there are shady café terraces beneath towering plane trees.
Open-air market on warm weather Sundays.
. ᴘ ʟ ᴀ ᴄ ᴇ ꜱ . ᴏ ꜰ . ɴ ᴏ ᴛ ᴇ .
The Collegiate Church of Our Lady of the Assumption ~ The local cathedral has never once been entered by a Fell, but architecturally speaking, it is very much a treasure and the focal point of Saint Fleur.
Hôtel des Fleurs ~ The current uncontested seat of illicit local liasons. It's a fine historical building with charming Edwardian decor and old-timey chatelaine-decked "house keepers".
Market Square ~ Flourishing with people immediately following Mass on Sundays. Locals flock to stalls of flavoured ice, handsewn goods, ceramic odds-and-ends, fresh chocolatine, and so on. Apart from being a well-established market, it's also /the central Saint Fleur (gathering place outside of the church, of course).
Médiathèque Florencia Gable ~ The only library in Saint Fleur. It happens to have a rather strange, musty "basement" area carved out of the earth for quiet reading.
Le Café de la Fontaine Rouge ~ A tiny café located on the slanted Red Fountain Square of Saint Fleur. It's far too hole-in-the-wall to have in-door seating, and therefore its terrace-seating only. When the weather is not amenable, the café is closed.
Le Café de la Fontaine aux Champignons ~ The Mushroom Fountain Square-located café, directly opposite the old cinema house.
The Cinema ~ It doesn't show anything new- hasn't since the premiere of "Raphaël ou le débauché" in the 70's. But every now and then its purveyor, the elderly Mrs. Rebecca Zelle, decides/is persuaded to show an oldie but a goodie for a couple of nights only.
The Ancient Water Garden ~ A Medieval stone garden of water features in which children (and adults) use to keep cool. There are fountains (of course), a communal lavoir (used by the ancient denizens of Saint Fleur to wash clothes), and shallow bathing pools containing ancient stone fish-shaped spouts which cascade umbrella streams of cool water straight up into the air.
Verte Fontaine Sushi ~ A "health food" Japanese restaurant in Saint Fleur's Green Fountain Square.
Chez Chiffon ~ French-Mediterranean cuisine in a swanky Art Nouveau setting. Seating indoors, but in warmer weather, all meals are taken on the fountain studded terrace.
La Pause Gourmande Patisserie & Tea Room ~ The "dignified" ladies of Saint Fleur gather together here on Friday mornings to indulge in a little gossip and freshly-made petite madeleines. If you were wondering, a Fell is as likely to be invited to such a gathering as they are to set foot in the cathedral.
La boucherie ~ The butcher's shop.
Club Ombra ~ A rather clandestine nightclub, tucked well out of the way of the central Market Square.
Cascade du Reliquaire ~ The largest waterfall on the Polyphemus River. It attracts a fair amount of tourists, and locals like to avoid the area as a result of all the foot-traffic. That said, it's a beautiful area- the rocks are completely carpeted in moss and the cascade, spliting into lots of smaller falls, resemble ethereal bridal veils draped over the hillside.
La Grotte d'Aenaia ~ One of many grottoes on the outskirts of Saint Fleur, but Aenaia's is popular for its ancient columns and frescoes, lending it the distinct feel of being a pocket out of time. A place for naiad revels, some say.
River Acis ~ The smallest of the three rivers circumnavigating Saint Fleur. The Acis' distinction from its sibling rivers is its remarkable crystal green waters.
River Galatea ~ The second smallest of the three Saint Fleur-adjacent rivers. The waters of Galatea run a bit rougher than the other two- in fact, it's too dangerous to traverse in the rainy season.
River Polyphemus ~ The largest, and most popular, of the three Saint Fleur rivers. In the summer, people enjoy swimming, tubing, and even fishing on the Polyphemus.
. ᴄ ᴀ ꜱ ᴛ ʟ ᴇ . ꜰ ᴇ ʟ ʟ .
. ᴇ x ᴛ ᴇ ʀ ɪ ᴏ ʀ .
What is now referred to as "Castle Fell" is, in fact, a centuries-old keep surrounced by time-worn stone walls and well-hidden from view by a thick over-growth of ancient foliage (which somehow does little to mask the cloying scent of the grounds' massive and ancient red rose garden, mind you).
It's retained it's imposing arches (from what anyone can tell)- but upon Malfante Fell's obtaining of the castle in the early 90's, it's structures have since been safely (if not faithfully) reinforced. The outer walls and gatehouse have remained somewhat untouched, but more modern touches have come about by way of electricity, plumbing, heating/cooling systems, etc.
The Rose Garden ~ Prevalent and of vital importance to the integrity of, not only the orignal body of land the castle resides upon, but also the man and family who occupy said land, the ancient red rose garden takes up a great deal of Castle Fell's landscape. These roses not only out-grew the original garden but also managed to choke the life out of anything else living and growing in their path. They are considered "parasitic", in a sense, as their relationship with the master of Castle Fell is, indeed, symbiotic. They also happen to feed on a certain kind of blood rather than water like any other plant. The Fells imagine this fact gives them their extra-ordinary red colour. They do not abide "human" touch, have consumed strange meats, and despite emitting an admittedly "amplified" rosy aroma, have often caused locals to sicken merely at their smell. [As a side note, the Fells do not keep small pets.]
. ɪ ɴ ᴛ ᴇ ʀ ɪ ᴏ ʀ .
More modern renovations within are far more steep than without. Electricity alone has made the castle into another creature entirely (to say nothing of plumbing and everything else that comes along with modernity). However, the "Wives" were insistent that some of the rooms, particularly "bedchambers", should retain their historical charm if at all possible. And, thus, many of the Fells find themselves living in a bizarre amalgam of Arthurian-esque and twenty-first century interior design. The result is eclectic and anachronistic moreso than any straight-forward aesthetic. A certain charm particular to the Fells.
. ꜰ ᴇ ᴀ ᴛ ᴜ ʀ ᴇ ꜱ .
30 bedrooms and 47 modern lavatories
Great Hall replete with original tapestries, massive fireplaces on either side of the room, and a single sturdy oaken table for sharing meals
Extensive underground kitchens, a larder and pantry room
Several so-called "drawing rooms" and private studies, only one of which is barred from use by the Wives and children of the family
No shortrage of subterranean storerooms, a vaulted undercroft (currently being used as a bedroom), and cellars
A defunct-dovecote, once used by the Fell children as a sort of secret playhouse

the debt must be great that is paid in blood (any fandom)
Ahh, sorry this took so long! Between COVID brain and Gen Con prep, I'm barely remembering my dog's name this week. >.<
The Debt Must Be Great That is Paid in Blood is a very epic title... which calls for epic source material. Something larger-than-life, with sweeping, grandiose, unapologetic drama... *runs through list of fandoms I've written for in the past year* Welp, that's either TGCF or DMC (because those are similar). 😂 Hmm... I think Xie Lian is too nice to have a blood feud with anyone he didn't already destroy in canon, so DMC it is!
And you're getting this in real time because my brain is mush and I didn't think ahead, so HOORAY stream-of-consciousness-fic-brainstorming, let's go!
Some time after the events of DMC5, a portal to the underworld rips open, wreaking havoc on the local human population. Probably in Red Grave, again, because that town's always getting messed up. With Dante and Vergil still missing, Nero, Lady, and Trish go to beat down the escaping demons and address the portal. They're joined this time by Lucia, because people kept asking for her to show up during my last story clearly they need all the help they can get to deal with this Very Dangerous Situation That In No Way Resembles the Plots of Previous Games. (by Capcom do not steal)
The whole time they're in the neighborhood, Trish Has A Bad Feeling About This(TM), but they can't really leave this situation alone, so finally they enter the portal to cross into the other realm. When they reach the underworld, it quickly becomes apparent to those who have faced him before -- which would be, uh, just Trish, come to think of it -- that Mundus is once again trying to invade the human realm and take over the world. Third time's the charm, I guess? But Mundus has at least learned a little from his previous defeats, and has powered himself up a lot this time, and is using the resources of the underworld to his advantage -- including drawing some sort of power from a central source to protect his body from their attacks, as they discover when they rush him in his throne room. Lady remarks on the similarity of the experience to their disastrous fight against Urizen. Nero doesn't think Mundus is quite that strong, but none of them have true Devil Arms, and mundane attacks are blocked by Mundus's arcane shield. Trish barely manages to scratch him with Luce and Ombra charged up to maximum.
Facing Mundus on his own turf is a really inconvenient time for Trish to learn that her creator still controls the power he originally granted to her, but surprise! Fearing she'll be forced to turn against her friends if she keeps resisting, Trish allows herself to be taken captive by Mundus. Just as she's pulled in, she realizes something and tries to communicate to the others that there's something they need to do to destroy the shield -- something she can sense, something that could help them destroy Mundus once and for all... they just need to find the... Yeah, they don't quite catch the details. Knowing he's in no danger from the puny human (and demihuman, and nonhuman) hunters, Mundus takes Trish and goes to make the final preparations for his invasion of the human realm -- probably by upgrading Trish into his new martial champion, because he keeps losing those. (Sparda, Nero Angelo... pretty sure Trish's number is up next anyway)
After they flee the maison du Mundus (promising to return and free Trish once they take down the shield), the hunters search the surrounding area and find seals spaced out at regular intervals around his throne room. They estimate that there are... *rolls dice* nine of them, which Lucia can sense somehow because she's also a demon construct. (Or maybe it says "seal number nine" on one in devil script? We'll figure that out in the edit.) Lady, Lucia and Nero split up to tackle the seals, each of which is conveniently (for purposes of interspersing regular action scenes in the text) guarded by a boss. They've done the level crawl before, they know how this works. Go through an area, smack the boss, lather, rinse, repeat.
So we level chapter crawl through the sequence, following each protagonist further into the maze of the underworld as they solve a puzzle and fight a boss. With each seal that goes down, Nero feels a little more of something tugging at his mind, but he can't quite pin it down.
Eventually all the perimeter seals are opened, leaving only the main shield generator in the chamber behind Mundus's throne room -- which also seems to be the source of the sensation in Nero's head. They go to crack it open, and discover that the source emitting all the power that Mundus is using isn't a thing at all, but a whom -- and oddly, it's just an older human-looking guy with white hair and a solid case of power-drain-induced amnesia. They question him (once he wakes up) to no avail, though once he learns who and what they are, the man wonders if he might have been a hunter too, once. Nero thinks it's a little weird that there's another unknown hunter down here, but says they should take him with them rather than leave him here to be re-imprisoned by Mundus. Lady is suspicious of the whole situation, but agrees that they can't just leave a guy all alone down here, especially if he's an enemy of Mundus. Lucia is pretty sure the old guy is not human -- at least, not entirely -- but Nero shrugs that off. Maybe he's just half devil; after all, Dante and Vergil and Nero all have white hair too, so maybe that's just what all demihumans look like? Genetics are weird.
So now that the shield is down, it's time to rescue Trish and defeat Mundus, but they have to hike for a bit to get to where he currently is. Nero, the goodest boy when he's not being a punk, keeps an eye on Grandpa Amnesia to make sure he's okay and chats with him along the way. He talks about his home of Fortuna, which seems to trigger some of the man's memories. Bits and pieces start coming together. Grandpa says some things that would be giant waving signal flags to Nero if only he'd paid attention in Sparda School... but alas.
Eventually they catch up to Mundus, who has converted Trish into his new general. Mundus sics Trisho Angelo on the hunters, and...
Well. It turns out that if you're a benevolent family-minded devil lord who has had your power suppressed and drained by your former boss for several decades, and during that time you have been tormented and suffered grief over the loss of your family to the point of blocking your own memories of them and your own identity at the conscious level, and then suddenly your former boss trots out someone who looks exactly like your beloved wife -- whom he murdered -- and makes her try to kill you and your new friends... that's a good way to get un-amnesiafied real fast.
So Sparda takes extreme umbrage at the whole situation. Normally he would just wipe the floor with Mundus again, but he actually has been weakened by spending 40 years in a power siphon, and he can't just unload indiscriminately without vaporizing Trish in the process, so Nero and company get to help him take down the big bad and his adds (because you know he brought some). Lots of action, such fight scene, many boom, very esplodey.
After Mundus is defeated, Trish gets psychically recalibrated to undo the brainwashing and reunites with the others. Sparda has a bittersweet moment where he Does Not Get Emotional because for an instant he thought Eva was still alive, even though Mundus has taunted him with her death for years. He long ago swore to take revenge on Mundus for her murder, as well as his dear sons' (I guess he was probably already a drained battery by the time Nero Angelo came about? Maybe Mundus just never mentioned the whole failing-to-kill-the-twins thing), and he reflects on how in his subjective world, this was the greatest crime Mundus ever perpetrated, even more so than invading the human realm in the first place. Such a massive debt could only ever have come to one end. (Aaannd title payoff!)
He's just about to roll off into the sunset in dramatic, angsty solitude when Nero says something to the others like, "So where do you suppose those two are, anyway? Can't believe we had to come all the way down here and clean up this mess when Dante and Vergil were already in the neighborhood," and that's all it takes for Sparda to give himself whiplash turning around to gape at his heretofore-unknown grandson.
"But author," the readers interject, "that's a great point. Where are Dante and Vergil all this time? Surely if Mundus revived just a few blocks away, they'd put a stop to it immediately!"
To which the author replies, "Hmm, that sounds like a problem for the sequel to this hypothetical story! Fortunately for me, the ask game that started this whole thing didn't include a sequel provision."
So. There we go. 😅 Thanks for the ask!

Take Back Condo Canyon and Reunion
As IO were fighting back against The Seven and Ego/ghost members. They have entered the small town to take back there home as Midas joins in to fight back for the loopers and for his bird hubby (@fn-devilles). “This is for our home!” Midas shouts at the troopers.
As Tina, Journey, and Brutus fought on the other side of Condo to assist The Sentries. As Tina using her explosive to take out some of the troopers while Ombra and Arancia snips from on top of a building to take the troopers from above. Nero and Argento helps Midas to by the others time to get in the airship.

“Key? Your alive?!” Hime was shock to see him alive as the two notice that it was her ex. Saber was then about to go to her but, felt anger within himself as he couldn’t escape from IO but, he was shock as he then attacks them when Scarletto defends Hime. The two fought.
“You three go! I’ll hold him off.” Scarletto says as he was push back when he throws Shuriken at Saber/Key. It did some scratches and charges at him. The three then make a break for it when 8-ball press the button as the aircraft blows up when Scarletto got out in time. He then swims back to them as Hime hugs him.
“Scar I’m sorry for this. I didn’t know he was still alive.” Hime said as she still hugs him. Scarletto hugs her back.
“It’s ok. We both didn’t know and if he’s alive? When I tried to fight him. He was about to teleport out. He’s alive must be at a different location.” Scarletto says.
“Mom. How do you feel? I mean are going to be with him?” Giada ask as she was afraid to lose her when Hime heard her ask that and holds her hand.
“I know that I miss him but, I’m not leaving you and your father. You both are my family and I love you both so much.” Hime said as she smiled at Giada and hugs her. 8-ball smiled under his mask. As the others saw the airship is now down and the troopers then started to retreat back to base when Argento starts to charge at them when one of IO shots at Argento but, draws his sword to deflect it.
As Argento then slash at the trooper in half while Nero then gets in Noms to shoot them with a sniper when he hears that there is someone they captured at Command Cavern.
“Argento cover me!” Nero shouts at Argento as he starts running to someone that looks like Saber but, different. When Argento starts firing at the guards for distraction as Nero tackles the Saber doppelgänger when he used teleport when the two vanished. Argento stops firing as Midas reports to Foundation that they have reclaimed Condo Canyon. Argento hopes Nero is ok. “Cousin I hope you know what your doing.” He adds.

Here's the first batch of drawings all together, days 2-5
And if you're interested in a bit of loooooooooooooorrrre regarding these four, you can check it out below.
For much of history, all demons have been looked down upon as evil and were heavily discriminated against, they were literally demonized for centuries. The four characters shown here all had a major role in promoting demon rights and informing the world that demons are no more good or bad than any other angel or human.
Nitenri is the first demon to become mayor of the town Ombra Nera. He has spent his life working constantly for the betterment of all magic-kind and equity for all walks of life. Ombra Nera has always been known as a safe place for human mages and other magical beings, but Nitenri extended this safety to demons as well and established many support structures for anyone of magic-kind in need of help. Ombra Nera went from a place for magical beings to lay low to a safe haven secretly integrated with human society.
Spectria and Guilden are the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of a city hidden amongst the clouds called Cumulous Valley. Spectria always had a kind and open heart towards anyone, in fact she was the one who helped Nitenri become a member of the Magical Being Protection Society and encouraged him to run for mayor back in the 90's. Meanwhile Guilden is an angel who used to have an inherent and subtle prejudice against demons, though eventually he came around and learned to treat and respect demon-kind like everyone else. Many of the residents of Cumulous Valley are angels and a large portion of them still have some old-fashioned views against demon and humans. Spectria is quick to try and correct this behavior but Guilden is more hesitant and sympathetic towards those who have difficulty in changing with the times as he used to be in the exact same position.
Matthias is a more tragic case. He was a demon rights activist back in the 1970's who always preached peace, love, and equality. He was a very good friend to Nitenri and was the one who inspired him to speak up and take action against societal issues. During a rally for demon rights, Matthias met his untimely death via assassination. His killer, an angel, had a biased trial and a light sentence, Matthias being framed as a revolutionary who inspired disruption and civil unrest.

Hii don't mind me just our of curiosity- 🧡(more like dormmates but sh) with Zara and Coco/Ren or 🖤 Zuiger and Juliet?
Cracks knuckles so hard they break oh fuck.
------
Roommates - Zara and Coco
Zara greatly respects Coco, so much so that he does just about anything she asks of him without hesitation.
They're a decent duo . Given that coco is level-headed, and Zara never starts anything between women and himself. He's also well behaved.
Zara avoids their room most of the time, or at least knocks every single time as to not walk in on Anything and make things awkward. He wouldn't be able to even look her in the eyes if that happened.
Willingly cleans up and does chores around his room , including coco's. He doesn't mind.
---
Roommates - Zara and Ren
Another fine duo. Ren and Zara are acquainted from being from the same home town. But they're much more likely to butt heads.
Likely roomies before ren cried to be with his big sister , who previously roomed with Coco.
Zara holds back the urge to punch him in the head when he's whining mostly because he doesn't want to attract Tara's ire.
They mostly just sit and talk about the past. Zara always clams up when ren mentions his and Tara's mother though. Ren isn't sure why.
Even if ren is annoying , and steals his clothing, at least he isn't /Daichi/.
------
Hatred - Zuiger and Juliet
Zuiger, being connected to Ombra's corporation is naturally someone Juliet has a dislike for.
She isn't aware of all of his misdeeds , but she knows he's up to something up in the reservoir.
She's been caught trying to sneak in by Eduardo, Moritz and Micah past curfew more times than she can count. But she just needs to know what he's doing.
Mostly, she relies on Archibald to gather information for her, because he's above the curfew as a wanderer.
And whenever he does report things to her , she finds herself being more and more disgusted by him.
Zuiger doesn't care, and whenever juliet does try to question him on the rare instances they make contact he just sneers down and mocks her.
She wasn't even capable of protecting her friend from becoming infected. Or getting that vaccine she so desperately worked for. Adelais tricked her. Grace evades her. Just what is she even capable of? She's one who should've died on her and Christo's expeditions. Not the countless other nameless soldiers.
