Spin Off Scenes & Ficlets!

Work Is Published Wednesday!

(Just under the wire... I am SUPER busy with the MD Ren Faire coming up, but I wanted to get this series published before then. )

These various ficlets and short scenes fit within my canon timeline, and mostly feature various Original Characters from the Dregs and the crew of The Wraith. It started with a Queer ficlet challenge here on Tumblr, and became a fun way for me to explore little snippets of my OC’s lives, as well as practice writing succinctly! For all the little introductions, side story lines, and snippets of my Grishaverse OC's lives, check back to this series in the future.

There's some smutty ficlets with Kalu and Senn, some wholesome meetings between Zurye and the Novikovs and then Seile and Meril. We see Cory discover Cob at Fifth Harbor. And Mikhal make Nico feel better after the black eye that Ryo gave the blond bouncer.

I thought of something unhinged

If Omari and your Wish fan sequel were canon, Asha x Omari shippers who are equally sick of fanon!Starboy, and how his fans overshadow Asha and her arc for him as you are might write ship fics where an evil expy of him tries to break up Asha and Omari to have Asha for himself. Of course, he fails, and Asha and Omari stay together.

An evil starboy would be someone who also possesses magic but tries to manipulate asha's philosophy of freedom to grant bad wishes, isolating her from her friends until Valentino catches on to his trick. And while he is fun just like tbe OG Starboy its very clear he takes pleasure in ruining everyone's day.

A bunch of OC designs/reworks I've done this month :> Still more to go, but Jasper and Crystal have been characters just SCREAMING for a redesign for YEARS now so I'm really happy to have gotten them done :) The Anatomist is a new oc and I'm enjoying his nasty fuckedup-ness, and Omari's design was okay but it needed a complete retool because he's now themed around an entirely different animal (An Egyptian Fruit Bat rather than a Honduran White Bat, so I needed to take out the dominant whites and yellows from his pallette).

Up next? Idfk, whoever I feel like drawing aha. Al, perhaps, or maybe I'll finally get around to my Galaxy design rework. I'm trying not to stress having everything 100% new and shiny for artfight, all my old stuff is perfectly serviceable, so I'm just focusing on those with the biggest changes.
