The Story

After years of being unseen, someone takes notice of you, of your special set of skills. They want you to work for them - or rather for Olympus, a mysterious global agency who seems to deal with... magic?

A chain of reactions begins, one that will free a beast of a magnitude you can't imagine, and that awakens the past horrors you tried so hard to forget. How will it influence you? And how will you influence it?

The Romantic Options

Louis/Louise ARCHER

Archer was chosen as the leader of the first tactical team for a simple reason: they never betray their team. Easygoing, charming and fun, their personality shifts completely when they are in "work mode"; they turn into an overly serious person, whose mind is solely focused on one thing: their mission.  

They do everything with their heart on their sleeve, and their romance path is just as passionate as they are. When Archer falls, it is hard and fast.

Jai/Jaya MISHRA

Child of ZEUS, they were promised the title of team leader, until Archer was chosen by the Council unanimously.  Mishra's calculated nature is both a blessing and a curse for the team, as no one knows how far they are willing to go to win. They're certainly not above using their good looks and great acting to manipulate others.

Assertive and cunning, Mishra's romance path is full of teasing and tender moments, if you manage to go through their cautious nature.

Merlin/Nimue BOTHA

Although a genius first, Botha's skills with a sniper are remarkable and gave them a place in the first tactical team.  Their soft and quiet nature makes them a patient hunter.  The youngest member of the team, what Botha lacks in combat experience, they more than make up for in knowledge. 

In the romance department, however, Botha is denser than the Olympus guidebook. Their romance path is both fun and soothing, although painfully slow at the start.

NEZHA

The only person in the world who managed to go past Olympus security, NEZHA got their place on the first tactical team after their successful hacking attempt.  NEZHA is the most mysterious of your team members, as they hide their face and real identity behind their persona of a fun-loving hacker and a literal cartoon. You can only hear their voice through calls, but they do make sure that they are unforgettable.

NEZHA's romance path is full of mystery, intense realizations, and dramatically hilarious moments.

Rowan SMITH

Rowan is a thief, and a very good one, as they have become the only one who stole from the agency without going to jail. Although they were arrested, their deep knowledge of the art smuggling world gave them an out. Cocky, blunt and brave, they walk the fine line between complete asshole and extravagant genius. Their role inside your team, however, is yours to decide.

Rowan is a character that charms and annoys you at the same time, and their romance path is the same; if you can accept them at their impetuous worst, you might see them at their daring best.

Game options

Olympus strives to be a game where you can choose the personality, the actions, as well as the appearance of the main character. Your character has a set past, but you can decide their future.

The game is 16+, as it deals with issues of violence and has some potential sex scenes. Therefore, you can choose to see trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter and avoid the explicit sex scenes.

how would the ROs react if a mc who kissed them good morning every morning one day forgot to do so? + the other way around, what if the RO forgot to give them their gm kiss? It's one of my favs and I'm excited to see the answers!

Lol, I think I spent way too much time on this ask, but I couldn't help myself. The first point is if the MC forgot, the second point if the RO forgot!

Archer:

You are sorely mistaken if you think you can get away from them without that kiss. They would catch your arms, grab your face to bring you close enough so that your lips touch theirs when they say "Didn't you forget about something?" and wait for you to give them their damn kiss.

If they forget about the kiss, they'll probably not realize unless the MC mentions it. "I forgot what? This is unacceptable." Would drag you somewhere secluded where they can make up for the kiss with interest.

Mishra:

Their whole day is ruined. They will be pouting and everyone at OLYMPUS knows not to piss them off today. When you see each other in the hallway, they would glare at you so you will know something is wrong. Also, be prepared to be severely punished, so you'll never forget about it again.

They would never do that. They don't just forget things... When they realize they did forget it, they will plan the entire evening to pamper you ("for no reason") and hopefully make you forget that they forgot.

Botha:

They are big on rituals, so they'll do their morning routine and wait for the kiss until it doesn't come. Then the five stages of grief ensue in 5 seconds. Denial, MC will kiss them. Anger, how could MC not kiss them? Bargaining, MC is just late. Depression, MC doesn't love them anymore. Acceptance, MC simply forgot. They'll collect two kisses the next day to make up for it.

They would feel off the entire morning until they realize why. They'll look for you and give you a long kiss, with no explanation, and then move on with their day.

Nezha:

They can get pretty petty when they want to, so they'll probably not move from their spot until MC comes to kiss them. They'd call OLYMPUS to ask for a sick day because they are "kiss-deprived". Your boss would have to confront you. "I need you to... do what you need to do so that they'll come to work today." (that second-hand embarrassment I'm dead)

When you confront them, they would be overly dramatic. They'll do a whole Shakespeare monologue about their unfortunate mistake. "How couldst I forget about our morn kiss? i doth not deserve thee any longeth, mine love." They'll hope it'll make you laugh, or smile at least, and then sincerely apologize and give you a long, deep kiss.

Smith:

If you thought Nezha was petty, Smith is pettier. If you decided to not give them their rightfully owned morning kiss, then they will not kiss you for the rest of the day. They’ll make you beg for it, though. 

Although they might not show it, they’d feel really bad. They never want you to think they don’t love you or that they’ll forget about you, so they’ll beat themself up until the two of you talk. They, they’ll say “I’ll do whatever you want, so please forgive me.”

How would the ros react if the mc suddenly tell them that "you deserve someone much better than me"?

Archer: "I don't think someone better exists, love."

Mishra: "Who gave you permission to belittle yourself like that ? No one badmouths the person I love, not even you."

Nezha: "Right back at you, you deserve someone perfect... But maybe we could be not perfect together?"

Botha: "No, i don't think that's true." *Begins to list all the reasons why you are amazing and both good together in a very factual way*

Smith: They'd be too stunned to speak for a moment. "I don't think I'll ever love someone they way I love you."

So sorry you had to wait this long. I also think this might happen in the game since it's one of my favorite trope, so the answers will be pretty short...

Archer: They will try to stay professional but their eyes would definitely soak it in.

Mishra : They would use this situation to figure you out. What do you really want from them?

Botha: They would feel the air shift and struggle to move. MC would definitely have to do the first step.

Nezha: They would blush, gulp down their nervousness and depending on your reaction, make a move or not.

Smith: They would be in a daze for a few seconds before shrugging you off and storm away to calm down.

Hey author, how have you been? You've been missing for quite a while here, are you okay?

I'm using this question to answer all the lovely people who asked me how I have been these past few months. Thank you, I can't explain how much it helped.

Short answer, I wasn't well. But I'm better now. The game is not abandoned, but it'll be a while before the next update because of real life boring reasons.

Long answer, nothing bad happened. My mental health worsened when I moved abroad, being away from my family and friends messed me up more than I realized it would. The winter holidays were especially hard, and I used OLYMPUS as a distraction. It worked at first. Then, I was too depressed to write and work on it, so I pushed it away, just like I pushed away most things.

I felt bad about not updating you, but I haven't really worked on OLYMPUS since the demo. I convinced myself that I should only return to this blog once I actually made some progress on the game. As time went by, I convinced myself that nobody cared about it anyway. That nobody cared about my writing, my story, and eventually about me. It was difficult to come back to the blog and to itch.io and see questions about the state of the game, about my state too. I felt like I let you down. I still do.

Anyway, I'm back home now. I really missed France, and the people I love. It's been a month, and I'm feeling a lot better. I'm busy preparing my first year as a teacher, moving to a new town along with all the boring shit you must do once you're an adult.

I decided to at least give you this update and tell you I'm officially starting to work on Olympus again, but I'm not going to pressure myself. Things will happen when they'll happen. This is a fun hobby, and I want it to stay that way.

I kinda hope you're still excited about the game. I truly hope you'll forgive me.

Reactions to a MC who talks like a cowboy (yeehaw, pardner, y'all'd've, etc)?

Ok don't judge me, but I've met a few people with a southern accent who talked like cowboys when I lived in the US and they all made me swoon. I'm weak for it.

Archer: They'd find it cute and try to imitate you. "Hey pardner, y'all wanna... What do cowboys do anyway? Film some homoerotic content?"

Mishra: Wouldn't bat an eye. They have meet so many people, from all around the world since they were little, so they don't find it so strange.

Botha: Nothing much really, but they'll end up adopting the same vocabulary/speech patterns as MC quickly and without realizing. They'll hate it when they do realize though.

Nezha: Not that they would ever admit it, but they immediately fantasize about a Cowboy!AU where MC is a cowboy coming to their little old town to make some trouble and steal their heart.

Smith: The sole American of the group, they'd be the one who judge you the most too. "Howdy? Did you just say that word with a straight face?"

Stole this from another blog, but if the mc is tracing their finger on the ro’s skin and the ro eventually realizes mc’s writing “i love you” how would they react? (Aspecialy because mc can be mute here)

Archer: Their eyes would water, they would snuggle closer to you and whisper with a raspy voice. “I love you too.”

Mishra: They would gently take your hand, kiss it, and then kiss you, hoping to convey all their feelings that way because they know words won’t do them justice.

Botha: They would smile and trace the words back on your skin.

Nezha: They would hold your hand tight and take a deep breath. They would try their hardest to remember this moment in every details. If MC is mute, they would sign the words to them. Otherwise, they would look say it with a shaky voice.

Smith: They weren’t sure the first time. They thought they imagined it the second. The third made it reel. They would take each of your finger and pepper them with kisses, murmuring the words against them.

ROs reactions to a MC drawing them?

Archer: They would be so proud of you, and amazed at your skills. They would probably hang the drawing somewhere in their home.

Mishra: They would feel smug. They know they are good looking enough to be a model. But that’s not what they feel smug about. It’s the fact that you chose them as your model. They would definitely pose for you if you ask, and sometimes even when you don’t.

Botha: They fell touched. Drawing is a skill that takes time and observation, and you chose to spend your time on them, to observe them in details like no one did before. They would feel really loved.

Nezha: Them ? You’re drawing them? But they’re awkward and their body has weird proportions… When they see your drawing however, they can almost see themself in your eyes, all the love you feel toward them. It’s almost enough to make them change their minds. Maybe, just maybe, they look good?

Smith: Art is pretty much their life. They know more than most how personal it can be. It would be one of the rare instance when they’d leave all the cockiness aside and be very real. They’d offer sincere compliments and definitely put the drawing in a nice frame. It would instantly became their most cherished possessions.

Hello, I would like to know how the ROs react to this scenario ( That maybe I have steal of another blog) What if the ROs during crushing stage saw someone trying to flirt with MC, but MC was completely dense to it and just happily went to RO once they catch sight of them and when the ro points out "you know that person was trying to flirt with you right", MC responds just looks a little baffled and responds sincerely " why would I care about anyone else flirting with me if it's not you?".

Archer: "Well... because... I'm sure there is a well thought answer... Wait a second, I'm so happy I think my brain broke."

Mishra : *smirks* "Yes, why would you? I'm much better at it anyway."

Botha: "Doesn't it make you feel more attractive and/or want to broaden your dating horizons? No? Ok, good. I feel the same way."

Nezha: "Me? Oh, okay. That's good. That's great. It's pretty fucking amazing. Take that, you no-good flirt, trying to mess with my MC."

Smith: *from angry about the flirting to pleased about the reaction to confused about their reaction and back to anrgy* "Whatever. You should let other people know about that then."

Archer: They get handsy. They’ll pull you closer, sneak one hand under your shirt to touch your skin and squeeze your behind. They do it so much that now, they only have to squeeze it to let you know they’re in the mood, even in public. 

Mishra: They won't beat around the bush. If you are alone somewhere, they'll just kiss you passionately. In public, they would tell you they're horny, but they'll whisper it in your ear so that no one can hear.

Botha: In private, they just ask you if you want to, tentative kisses to gauge your reaction, very awkwardly at the beginning of the relationship, but they grow to be more confident. In public, they’ll wait for you to be alone, or at least they’ll try. The more they wait, the grumpier they get, but no one can understand why.

Nezha: They would tell you that they're in "need of attention" and give you a look that would show you what kind of attention they're thinking of. If you were among people, nobody is duped, they have no poker face.

Smith: Alone, they'll first hug you and then try to rouse you up by kissing your neck. In public, they'll just touch you here and there, give you a kiss, stare at you a bit too long and then blame you for initiating it.

Update 02/01/2022 - Prologue out!

Well, hello there. Let’s get one thing out of the way: the Prologue of OLYMPUS is out today! You can play it on itch.io. 

I am really sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth like that. These past few months have been a challenge to say the least, and I just feel like myself. 

I won’t bore you with details, as I’m sure you’d rather talk about OLYMPUS. I decided to change things up, not only in the plot but also in the way I will post about the game in the future. OLYMPUS is a work in progress. It is very likely to change, updates to updates, until I finish the project and can look back on it to clean it up and make it look good.

I was stressing myself out, hesitating between giving you a final product that would look good or giving you content. This game is my first project of this size, so I’m really winging it and I am very self-conscious about it. I decided that I will no longer publish when the everything is perfect or finished, but whatever I have done every month or so. 

I think that, by having this pressure of a monthly update, I will be a lot less critical of my writing and hopefully more productive. I never realized how, without that deadline pressure, my writing suffered. I probably deleted ten versions of the first chapter, because I am actually terrified of publishing anything.

I know that between content and quality, I should choose quality. However, when you think everything you do is bad, you kind of have to start somewhere. For now, I have decided to give you the content. For the future, we will see how it goes. To end this very lengthy update, you can expect the prologue of OLYMPUS: Secret Services today. 

If anyone else feels like this, know that you’re not alone and that we can feel bad together. Hopefully, we’ll feel better soon.

Nezha: They've read the books, they've seen the movies... This means you like them, right? Would not move an inch until you're satisfied and you leave them alone to process.
