2018 was filled with incredible highs. I hiked higher and longer than I thought possible, went to Disneyland and Universal and all the places with @seresbee, started the Crafty Club and taught my first class, and I put out more consistent and creative content than ever before. . 2018 also had heartbreaking lows. I struggled with depression and self doubt. I lost my mom to cancer. I almost lost myself, too. . But through the highs and lows and all the moments in between, I made progress in things I wanted to improve. I also stumbled a lot along the way. But that’s ok. Progress is progress and any small movement forward counts. . So as I close out 2018, I want to thank it for the PROGRESS it made possible. I also want to thank 2018 for the biggest lesson I learned this year: We find what we focus on. And with that in mind, in 2019, I choose to focus on JOY. . I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. I am excited to see what it brings us all. I am hoping for a year of love, light, and most of all, joy. What are you hoping for? . pros & cons

Today was such a mix of good and bad.

The good: I woke up feeling well-rested, I was in a good mood, I had decent energy at work, work itself was alright, I only had to work 8 hours, and Ryan and I had tacos for dinner. So that was awesome.

The bad: I had to go to Publix after work (stressful as hell, always), the internet was down when I got home and I couldn’t get it to work, my brother called me and told me his band broke up, and I accidentally broke my Xbox headphones while trying to adjust them so that I could play a little bit of Fallout.

Tomorrow morning I have to go to the doctor and get a ~*well woman*~ check so I’m hoping I’ll be able to treat myself a little bit after that annual trauma. I still haven’t decided how, but I guess I’ll figure it out tomorrow.

Today was stressful. Work is starting to feel more and more hostile. I’m at the point where I just want to be left alone; I don’t care about teamwork, I’d rather not risk the discomfort and conflict present in every single interaction in the comm center. My love affair with Cheetos has not waned. I even packed extra snacks today and I still went and bought a bag of Cheetos. Why can’t I stop this madness?!
