I would die for Ollie the Skateboarding Growlithe

(does he have an everstone? I assume the trainer plans to not evolve him.)

He would much prefer you live, I think.

I do not know, as I did not ask. I assume so, but Growlithes are not prone to evolution without trainer intent.

Ollie shook his head and shrugged, just watching the Pidove from behind Ray.

"Nah. Not yet, anyway. Besides, I'm not sure they'd trust me as fast as they'd trust you. Y'know, considering you know what you're doing much better than me." He then looked to the Tranquill beside him.

"...Betty, yeah? That's your name?" He made a fist and brought it near Betty, as if he was trying to befriend her in a similar manner to how one would greet something like a Growlithe for the first time.

Klara observed all of this while beside a shed across the road.

Klara was just barely holding on to the back of Ollie's hoodie as he ran into Virbank City's marina. He made his way to the boardwalk before scanning the rows of boats that were stationed along the docks. He cupped his hands around his mouth, hoping to make himself louder.

"Ray! Ray, you here? I'm up by the entrance!" Klara climbed up onto Ollie's shoulder and started searching along with her trainer.
