do you have thoughts on oliveda? i feel like theyre fine for my rosacea but theyre not ... doing much in terms of preventing breakouts and i'm curious if that's just my skin or if it's in the formula. have a lovely day !

bleh. another “natural” brand using misleading buzzwords like “detoxifying”, a fixation on a poorly researched, unfounded ingredient (in this case, olive trees and their byproducts), a... very weird, honestly, about page featuring a whole biography of the creator and a story about an astrologer telling him he’d be “an olive tree whisperer” (??? sir? are we still talking about skincare? this sounds cult-y omfg), the whole amber-vial-apothecary-natural aesthetic, very underwhelming actual ingredients, formulations that seem quite rudimentary and outdated, and vastly overpriced...

these brands are a dime a dozen, and i wouldn’t waste my time on them, in all honesty, nor would i expect any major acne benefits from them.

The kids and I are off to a base event, and I’m looking forward to a hot yoga class later today. I’ll share a full recap of our amazing trip to Spain next week, but in the meantime, I wanted to share a packing list with some of the things I brought! Spain summer packing list Wear on the way there and back: (I did a couple of loads of laundry while we were at the Airbnb) Spanx Air essentials set. I’m always cold on planes and this keeps me warm, and is comfy enough to sleep in Dresses: My goal with travel dresses is to bring short ones I can wear with sneakers during the day, and just swap to dressy sandals for dinner at night. I also brought a couple of dinner-only dresses. I found that the vibe there was pretty casual and anything goes (besides athleisure. Don’t do it lol). Skirts, shorts, dresses, with sandals and sneakers all worked. Daytime dresses: This floral mini dress (so cute with the white Vejas) High-neck traveler mini dress A Maeve short sleeve collared mini shirt dress (OOS right now and I can’t find anything similar) Hutch mini shirt dress (size down) Rails striped dress Ulla Johnson dress Derek Lam flutter sleeve dress An old Madewell short floral dress Dinner dresses: Farm Rio ocean tapestry dress. SO pretty, true to size, and on sale right now. Embroidered Farm Rio dress. The details on this are exquisitive. It was a splurge, but I’ve worn it so many times already. This one is on sale right now, too! Crochet-style maxi dress This red dress from RTR that was perfect for flamenco night 😉 Tops, skirts, and shorts: This skort with this bodysuit I also brought a pair of jean shorts with an embroidered top but didn’t wear it Workout gear: I knew I’d likely not get in official workouts, but I just brought some leggings and sports bras in case I could do Sculpt Society at the Airbnb while we were just hanging out, and also some shorts and a tank top for paddlebaording Vuori tank and shorts (2 sets) 1 pair of lulu leggings and an Align tank Swim: I brought my fave Vuori bikini and wore it with jean shorts, this coverup, and this visor Shoes: Veja low-top sneakers Valentino sandals Vivobarefoots (in case I could sneak in a workout- they actually stayed in my suitcase) Flat brown sandals Extras: Our suitcases are worth a shout out because we love them. They’re not expensive, huge, and excellent quality. We have three of these from Nordstrom Rack. Handbags – I brought my Gucci camera bag, a leather crossbody I got in Italy last summer, and ordered this really inexpensive one from Amazon for nights out. I was super impressed by the quality! This travel pillow! I’m a side sleeper, so this was a literal dream come true for the plane Melatonin. I tested out some melatonin before our trip to see if it would help me sleep on the plane. Usually I’m too anxious and toss and turn. I CRASHED OUT. It was everything! Obviously talk with your doctor before taking new new supplements, but this is the first time I haven’t been jet-lagged; it helped me reset my circadian rhythm. You can use FITNESSISTA10 here. Yuu uma vez tinha visto um pé de maçã.

A fruta estava no alto de uma árvore, totalmente madura e brilhante. Ainda assim parecia tão distante  que mesmo quando ele a tocou, não parecia real.

Como uma ilusão seu gosto adocicado se dissolvendo como plumas de açúcar e água tinham o enevoado sabor de caos. Como uma pureza que ele, criatura vil que era, não poderia merecer.

Tinha sido como na primeira vez que Olivier tinha convivido com os monges.

Ele e Yuu tinham se encontrado e matado um homem juntos, num estranho companheirismo. Por isso, o monge o levou até o monastério improvisado que Londres abrigava.

Yuu podia ser o que quisessem o chamar: monstro, aberração, anjo da morte, mas seu preferido sempre era depravado.

Não havia nada que ele não gostasse mais do que corromper as pessoas pelos prazeres carnais.

Olivier aceitou de bom grado a bebida e parte do fumo, sem deixar que seu olhar atento deixasse de perceber que eles se afastavam da grande multidão e do aglomerado de pessoas.

"Sei que não gosta de muita gente." — Lembrou-o, enquanto fechava as cortinas grossas do ambiente para acender as velas uma a uma.

"E isso?"

"Só baixe um pouco a guarda. Não vou ganhar nada manchando o meu quarto inteiro de sangue." — Piscou a Olivier, que se sentou no acolchoado ainda tenso. — "Logo faz efeito."

"Efeito?"

"Só... Fique quieto." — Kanda desatou a fita que prendia os cabelos longos, sentindo um certo alívio nisso.

Olivier não sabia, mas existia um motivo muito claro para o qual tinham estado sozinhos. O mesmo tragou mais uma vez enquanto o chinês o observava com paciência, curioso sobre as bandagens que ele inevitavelmente não desejava retirar e querendo rasgar uma a uma.

"Esse é o ponto sem retorno, Olivier." —Sua voz saiu tão doce que quase se assustou com isso, a mansidão mantendo-o em calmaria enquanto se aproximava até estar sentado na cama também. — "É aonde... Tudo muda."

"Nunca houve retorno."

"Nunca." — Yuu escorregou a destra pelo braço dele, puxando as bandagens sem medo de repreensão.

Olivier cedeu ao primeiro contato, extasiado pelos alucinógenos o suficiente para provar daquele fruto amaldiçoado.

Aquilo não era amor, muito menos desejo, era muito mais uma luta por poder e dominação que acabaria os divertindo de alguma forma. Duas criaturas que sabiam que se destruíram na violência e que tinham de escolher um vencer de outra forma.

Da mesma maneira cruel com que Yuu odiava qualquer pessoa, seu olhar suave ao companheiro de batalha cortava uma ferida muito mais profunda do que qualquer aço moldado o faria. A sedução da pele macia, dos lábios macios e dos pequenos ensinamentos os levavam para um caminho desconhecido.

Provar do fruto proibido era divertido.

Era como se sangue, suor e lágrimas fossem tão desejáveis que sequer pudessem ser desperdiçados, sorvidos desde a primeira gota.

O esparramar nos lençóis gastos combinado com os sussurros nada claros soavam como uma melodia crescente, abraçada pelo ambiente quente e exaustivo de pinceladas carmesins que ondulavam pouco a pouco diante de seus olhos.

Olivier se sentia enfeitiçado e não resistia aquilo, se despindo do que quer que fosse ante o acontecido, sabendo que aquela ferida aberta em em peito derramaria um sentido estranho ao envolvimento tardio. As lágrimas que escorriam por sua pele oliveda não demonstravam qualquer arrependimento no ato, pois, em algum canto do mundo um coral de anjos devia estar louvando aquele momento estático.

Provar do fruto proibido era como mergulhar num lago gelado, sem conseguir ver nada no fundo deste. Era como sentir-se afundar com um passo em falso, o arrepio do medo trazendo o alívio no tremor de lábios do ar inspirado na superfície; como morder uma maçã madura e sentir o néctar adocicado riscar a pele até o queixo, manchando tudo aquilo com a essência do pecado puro e derradeiro.

Era como ser perseguido, a adrenalina correndo cada vez mais rápida em cada uma de suas veias enquanto a tensão se estendia do dedo mínimo do pé até o último fio de cabelo. Como se seu corpo não lhe pertencesse enquanto estivesse com ele em seus braços.

Sendo soubesse e não o conhecesse, juraria que a encenação dos beijos seriam reais. Que tudo aquilo não passava de uma maresia no mar que Yuu Kanda os havia mergulhado sem piedade alguma, querendo que ele se afogasse no véu deu seus cabelos negros e na doçura de suas mentiras.

Pois não havia mentira senão existisse realidade, nem desejo, nem convicção. Não haveria aquele dia se Olivier fingisse que acordar naqueles lençóis quentes não era nada além de um sonho, um tipo de sonho ao qual se recriminaria de ter.

"Pode fingir que é um devaneio, mas não agora." —A voz do outro o lembrou, atraindo sua atenção novamente.

Provar do fruto proibido era um caminho sem volta.

"É metade da minha alma, como o poeta diz." — Yuu recitou com jeito, erguendo o queixo para que este o mirasse.

Que não visse nele somente o objeto, mas o homem, a virilidade e a força a qual tinham-no dominado tão facilmente.

E Olivier o aceitou em seus braços mais uma vez, sabendo que provar do fruto proibido era uma alucinação de prazeres, pecado e desdém. Algo tão complexo que fugia do pensamento comum e das levianas exatidões que costumava ouvir de pessoas diferentes deles.

Ele provou a maçã avermelhada direto do pé, mantendo-a rente aos lábios a cada nova mordida enquanto sorvia sua essência vital tal qual um indigente, os olhos fechados na completa apreciação da essência primitiva que se despedaçada em plumares agridoces no céu de sua boca.

Ele provou uma. Duas. Cinco vezes.

E quando satisfeito, se foi.

Pois ali apenas restava a magnificência do homem de expressão virginal, cujo encanto não poderia ser tão facilmente medido e suprimido.

Sendo assim, Olivier abriu os olhos.

E o fruto proibido continuava lá.
