Headcanon about Olevéos’ weapon: though a scepter by default, it has been heavily modified by Olly to double as a melee weapon, to help her leverage her brute physical strength in addition to her magic. The head of the weapon is much larger than pictured, and is actually attached to the shaft by powerful vines - Olly imbued the weapon with the power of the restored Caladbolg to strengthen the vines that she grew herself, and make them respond to her will despite no longer being attached to her body. The vines hold the weapon’s head firmly in place by default, but they can extend to turn it into a flail. When in this mode, the glass shards rearrange themselves to serve as spikes, and may remain lodged in the target’s flesh after a strike, magically replenishing themselves afterwards.
Additionally, the bust adorning the head has six eyes, arranged in a familiar pattern.

I decided to change OIevéos’ colours up a bit, to improve them and make them less clashy, and while I was at it, I also figured I’d do a then-now kind of thing. The first row is how babby Olly looked right after she popped out of the pod, while the second row is her current, Season 4 look. The model doesn’t represent just how bulky she has become, and lacks the second pair of eyes, but gives a rough idea of the change from fresh-faced sapling to shell-shocked, brawny monstervari Commander.

I realised I was never really going to use Iltani as a character or have her story go anywhere, so I deleted her, and reused her face option and slot to create another member of the Jabara family - technically. This is Sabriye Jabara, an AU character who exists in Olevéos’ timeline. Lorebending and hopelessly verbose exposition ahead.
Sabriye, once a member of the Elonian Jabara family, is an angel of Dwayna - one of an order of seldom-seen divine servants today only remembered in legend. Angels are, or rather were, former humans elevated to demi-divine status because of their unmatched dedication to their chosen god in mortal life. Usually tasked with acting behind the scenes of Tyria in disguise, or serving as warriors or guards in the Mists, they carried out the will of their deity.
As the Five left Tyria behind, their still-serving angels went with them - with the exception of at least one. Sabriye had long been following the events of the awakening of the Elder Dragons, and the ensuing war - including the fate of one sylvari Commander. Watching the struggles of the demonologist, intertwining closely with the struggle of Tyria’s mortals to survive the rise of the Dragons, Sabriye grew steadily more conflicted.
Here was a troubled individual, a former Nightmare Courtier, an almost-Mordrem brute, one who trafficked with the demons of Torment, ancient enemies of the Five and all mortals - yet one who, against all odds, was clearly guided by a core of noble intent, bearing an incredible weight on her shoulders to try and save Tyria. Sabriye had always disagreed with the no-intervention policy of the Five, but would not go against Dwayna’s orders, so all she could do was watch. As the gods prepared to leave, she stayed until the last minute, and then beyond. She watched as Balthazar went on a misguided rampage, and watched the Commander clash with him time and again.
Even as Balthazar ambushed Olevéos and struck her down, and trapped Aurene, Sabriye watched in horror and disbelief, fury boiling over in her heart. She watched the Commander’s spirit enter the Domain of the Lost, robbed of their memories - but not of their magic. Torment demons flocked to them, clawing at the veil between worlds that, in the Domain, was so very thin - and Olevéos had forgotten how to defend against them. In a dark despair, convinced that all was already lost, realising that Dwayna had left them all alone, Sabriye finally broke her oath, deciding that the Commander deserved safe passage to the Mists at the very least.
She entered the Domain herself, coming to the defense of Olevéos’ confused spirit. She stood by the sylvari’s side as they pieced their life together, fending off the demons, and wept with sympathetic rage as Olevéos confronted the Judge, demanding to be sent back. Then her jaw hit the floor when the Judge revealed Olly still had a chance to return if they could defeat the Eater of Souls.
As the sylvari and the angel stood before Balthazar’s abomination, and as their cries rang out in unison, Sabriye became aware she had just sworn a wordless, new oath.
Olly found Sabriye still at her side as she awoke in the mortal world, and the angel has not left her since. With Dwayna gone and the oath to her broken, Sabriye once again assumed her ancient family name of Jabara, knowing that the divine power granted to her would soon start to drain away, and she would eventually become mortal again. Regardless, she is dedicated to continue fighting for what she deems right, and that currently happens to be helping and guarding the Commander with her life, divine policy be damned.
And there you have it - Olly’s very own Guardian Angel (literally, as she’s gonna be a Firebrand). I imagine she would normally wear that blindfold most of the time, because of a not too normal eye configuration, much like Olly’s, but I wanted to show off her face here. I don’t plan to build a huge entourage for Olly like Nouru has, but she deserves one or two friends too. Andddd yeah these two are gonna inevitably end up also in lesbians with each other because I’m me, and also because angel x demon(ologist), divine x monster, come on, it’s so obviously meant to be :B (yes I know I’m so corny I’m just missing the butter and a large coke)

Write of my journeys and fights back to back Sing of my deeds and my glories Hide all the things That are burning my heart Deep down devouring my soul of black [ x ]
There was a slot sale, and I happened to have an idea, so... yet again, new character. Brace yourselves, because this one is exceedingly edgy garbage, rivaling the edginess and angst of Isobel. Coincidentally, they’re another ex-Courtier.
Their name is Olevéos, and they are something unprecedented among my GW2 characters - a second canon Commander, existing in an AU separate from everyone else (though I might move some characters over to their AU if needed).
Olevéos (Olly to people very, very close to her and absolutely no one else, she/they, nonbinary) started off as a Nightmare Courtier, a gifted, violent brat sent to pose as a Dreamer and spy on Caithe and other important sylvari. Having been taken by the Court at an early age, they had known little else before, but now they found themself neck deep in the role of a Valiant, and were driven to keep the act up by circumstance, curiosity and the thrill of danger. Things happened one after another, and Olly suddenly had to realise the lie had become their life. Whispers Agent, then eventually Commander of the Pact - there was no going back.
Much like Isobel, they had not been forcibly corrupted to Nightmare, which left them the ability to turn away from it - and turn away they did, gradually, as time went on. As Commander, they experienced companionship, fame and glory, and got drunk on them. When Zhaitan fell, they felt like the king of the world. Yet, a large portion of their disturbed, violent nature remained, along with a past that could not be erased, which, as their personality changed, became an increasingly painful thorn in their side. To top it all they had also fallen in love with Caithe, whom they still hadn’t told the truth about their past, and would not do so until shortly before the events of Season 2 (which would also result in quite a different dynamic between them regarding the egg business).
Their confusion and self-doubt culminated during Heart of Thorns. In a critical moment, because of their lack of conviction, Olevéos just barely managed to avoid succumbing to Mordremoth. Their inner strength wasn’t enough to both fight off physical corruption as well as hold on to their free will and sanity, and they chose the latter. As a result, they were left with a bulked-up physique, a rougher, ridged bark, sharp claws, oversized, predatory teeth, and an extra set of eyes.
While the corruption and the losses that the Pact had suffered traumatised her deeply, they also set her on the slow path to coming to terms with herself and becoming a more responsible Commander, as well as the beginnings of a romance with Caithe. Still, to this day, under a composed and confident facade, she is torn between denial of being a monster, giving in to being one and acting like it, and owning it to use it as a force for good.
Olly, as a person, is often moody and unpredictable, though they’re also quite good at covering up their true feelings, and have a way with people. Being a dusk bloom, they are always eager to learn, and a little too curious for their own good. This attribute lead them to deviate from their initial training as a necromancer and become a demonologist - one who invokes the power of the Realm of Torment in combat. Needless to say, this is a pretty dangerous and largely unresearched practice that doesn’t exactly help with Olly’s monster image, but it does make them extremely powerful, and thus they’re unwilling to give it up.
Regarding the events of present day, Olevéos’ character development is tangible. While her old, pre-corruption self would be indignant and furious with Joko, or even straight-up bail out of the entire Commander business out of frustration, the new Olly is merely sad and resigned, but forces herself to go on, half-admittedly seeking redemption and to do good where once she would have merely sought glory.

feminist brain: the female Profane set is really bad, I wish they’d picked a different necro set to port from GW1 that looks less... like this
lesbian brain: leather-clad muscle monster lady hot
