“No one gets any kind of immunity!” Mike chimes in vehemently.

Steve ignores them both, and the rest of the gremlins who kick up a fuss too, in favor of drifting into Eddie’s space. He pushes his lower lip out at him and widens his eyes, batting his lashes a couple of times for good measure. Eddie’s always been ruthless with his own puppy dog eyes, but Steve can give as good as he gets, too. He knows he can break him.

Except Eddie doesn’t even falter. He just laughs, this deep, amused chuckle, and tries to shake Steve off of his arm. “No fucking way, Harrington,” he says. “I’m not giving it up.”

This time Eddie’s attention seems well and truly captured, and Steve internally pats himself on the back for that. The game goes on, and the offer still stands. But Eddie doesn’t cash in on it.

He continues to do fairly decent, plucking along mostly unscathed. Occasionally he lands on Max’s Water Works or Lucas’ Electric Company, and he has to fork over those fees, but they’re not too bad considering neither one of them managed to snag both of the utilities — the perks of playing with eight.

And then somehow, some fucking how, Steve manages to land on both Park Place and the Boardwalk. He wastes no time shelling out the $750 it costs to own them. After a few more rounds collecting rent on all his properties, he gets enough money to add houses, and eventually to trade those houses in for hotels.

The tension in the game has been slowly building up over the last half hour or so, but what happens next — it’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

Eddie rolls a god damn fucking five and his little silver boot piece hops its way right onto Steve’s god damn fucking Boardwalk.

He loses his shit.

“Two thousand? No fucking way, no way!” Eddie shouts, eyes wide after Steve hits him with the magic number he owes. “That’s all my fucking money, you asshole! I’m not gonna have anything left after that! What the fuck!”

Steve just throws his head back and cackles, rubbing his hands together like the sneaky little bastard he knows he’s being. “Them’s the rules, Munson,” he says. “Pay your fucking debt, babe.” 

He holds his hand out and wiggles his fingers at Eddie.

Eddie tries to smack his hand away, but Steve catches his arm with his other hand and holds Eddie back, grinning the whole way through.

“I don’t know how, but you did this shit on purpose,” Eddie says, shaking his head.

“I did not!” Steve cries, still laughing. “You landed on my property fair and square! Pay up!”

Eddie groans and gathers up his money, giving it a quick count through before he holds it out for Steve. Steve’s hand only just closes around it when Eddie freezes, grip tightening.

“Wait,” he says, sitting up straighter. “Wait, wait, wait. Your offer, from earlier — you said it still stands.” A slow grin spreads across his face. Loophole.

Steve barks out a laugh, though. “I… I did say that, but it’s kind of a little late for that now, don’t you think?” He asks. “I don’t know if I can give you that.”

“You can’t! You can’t! No immunity!” Dustin shouts, waving his hands in the air.

Again, neither Steve nor Eddie pay his outburst any mind.

Eddie shakes his head at Steve. “Come on,” he pleads, “throw me a bone.” He bats his eyes, folds his hands together and holds them over his heart. “I’m at your mercy, sweetheart. I’ll do anything.”

The counteroffer there stands between them, unspoken but very much obvious.

“Oh boy,” Steve hears Robin mutter across the way.

And oh boy is right. The way Eddie’s looking at Steve, the way he’s casually managed to spread his legs where he sits, the way he’s chewing on his lip, letting it pop out from between his teeth all shiny and glistening.

“No. No, it certainly wouldn’t,” Eddie agrees, already inching closer to Steve.

Steve hands him back his money, and Eddie accepts it gratefully, dropping it carelessly to the side before he tugs on the front of Steve’s shirt and pulls him in for a kiss. He keeps it chaste in their present company, but the promise of what’s to come sits heavy against his tongue.

“Thanks, Stevie,” Eddie says sweetly.

“Anything for you,” Steve says back.

And if in the process of “getting more comfortable” for the remainder of the game, Eddie “accidentally” kicks his foot out and knocks the board clean off the table, thus ending the game and giving them an excuse to escape, that’s nobody’s business but his and Steve’s.

Hey love thank you for the ask, I think it would go like this - I hope you like it :)

Paring: Andy Barber x Toddler! Reader

Warnings: crying, sweetheart has got first day anxiety, Andy is the best dad ever, comfort items, proud dad moment, overwhelmed y/n.

y/c/n = your cousins name

It was y/n at preschool today, it was a long time coming but it didn’t make it any easier on her because of how overwhelmed she can get.

We’d had a movie night, and just a generally relaxing evening before she went to bed to try and help with this morning; now she’s eating little waffles with blueberries and raspberries on the side since it’s her current obsession with a sippy cup of chocolate milk. She was content for the most part whilst I was packing her bag with spare clothes, pull ups, her comfort snacks and her comfort teddy Sammy the weighted seal. Her weighted seal always helps, she always struggled with being overwhelmed and overstimulated since she was a shy girl but it didn’t change anything I love y/n’s personality she just takes a minute to warm up to anyone she meets.

She’s a beautiful character, her personality was amazing she was cheeky but very shy but hilarious too.

“Dada, what doin’?” She exclaimed laughing with waffle in her mouth because of what she sounded like”

“Bubba, I’m packing your bag for preschool remember - you start today and you’ll see y/c/n too” I replied trying to sound excited knowing how she felt.

“I no want to dada please” tears lining her eyes she tries to get down putt of her highchair, I had to calm her before she had a meltdown.

“Hey hey sweetheart, look at me find dada’s eyes baby - come ‘ere you can do it” I whisper picking her up so she can snuggle into my chest knowing that calms her.

“No want to dada” she whispers from my chest i barely could hear her she was that quiet.

“Shh shh shh it’s okay sweetheart, it’s okay if you can do it, but I want you to try okay? That’s all I want you to do. Is try okay?” I murmur trying to compromise with her.

“Try?” She questions

“That’s all dada wants, then we can watch lilo and stitch okay sweetheart and I’ll get uncle Scott to come over too and we can make cookies.” I completely compromise once again since I’ve found with y/n slowly trying to get her to try then reward it works than just getting her to do it.

“Lilo and sotty!” She giggles “yeh I try dada, bubba gonna try” she finally agrees.

“Yay!” I chuckle with her and think of how proud I am of her for still trying.

Time skip

Preschool happened but it didn’t go well but that was bound to happen but we’re not going to dwell on that I’m proud of her for trying.

Scott came over after we picked her up together, we had chicken nachos for dinner as per y/n’s request, made cookies and watched all the Disney movies we could til y/n finally fell asleep because it was an exhausting, emotional day for her.

But I’m proud.

I apologise it’s so short I’m just not feeling right today and I’m just not with it :/ I’m sorry guys :(. And I’m sorry to the anon who requested probably expecting more than this.

Okay okay okay look. What you do is both really fun and super good looking. No way i'm not going to be excited about it. There is something in the way you draw Vessel (and the rest but expecially Ves) that is just.. at least in my eyes just so perfectly captures his energy. And i love the style you have a lot. Also your humour. And all of it combined is just something special. And it's never not going to be immensley lovely in my eyes. So please never stop sharing your creations! 🙏🏻🫶🏻

BUT please NEVER ever for a second think that i'm cool. I'm the one who started to draw Tiny Token because i was too anxious to say happy birthday to someone after all. Half the time i feel too awkward to talk to people even when i have talked with them before. I could not be further from being cool, trust me on that one.

And on the note of "the group" it's an open one btw and you are part of it as well. The fellowship of Sleep welcomes all into the ranks. I don't want to speak in the stead of the others but in general we are just an awkward excited bunch of people who love seeing all the things in the fandom. And basically consider everyone around this ever growing ST community on tumblr to be a part of the friendgroup, regardless of the amount of interactions we had. Which obviously includes you as well; we are just too shy to engage more half the time. The bane of being terrified of being even mildly annoying.

And you can't really stalk much for it, i don't think i made a post yet on which dates i'll be at, because there is still some calculations to do, especially with the two new dates. But i will be at at least a couple of the UK shows in november (so if anyone is going and want's to see my stupid ass and we yet to have discussed it, please feel free to hit me up and we'll coordinate a meetup somehow).

Okay this is deeply odd, especially since I'm not religious at all, but one thing that I really enjoy while regressed is certain church stuff? Like veggie tales? And those little pamphlets they give to kids at church, and learning about easter. Also this one specific youtuber who does Christian deconstruction content. My family only went to church when I was very little, and I did vacation Bible school around that time too (plus researching american religious fundamentalism is one of my weirder special interests), so I guess that's why.

Okay i'm genuinely curious What do you like about that boss from Elden Ring? No offence of course! It's just that i do not understand the appeal myself, and am trying to comprehend it (but maybe i am too weak /lighthearted) Btw your OC's are cute and your games are good

now for my other greatest joy Godskin noble :3 I’ll put under a readmore so this doesn’t wall up anybody’s dash

I get that hes probably an odd choice in most peoples eyes (or not probably, definitely. I’ve been roasted abt it very hard lol) but I genuinely think he is the perfect man. Perfection isn’t even real but he’s as close to it as possible I think. He is so unbelievably handsome and aesthetically pleasing that I seriously can’t name a single thing I would change about him. I love monster boys and his psudo-human appearance is so cool when you really take in his odd proportions and reptilian features (ie: tail) and oh my god his face has like every feature I love in a man. Tired baggy eyes, cute pouty expression, strong brow, visible age lines, and this isn’t something I like in all characters but GOD his gorgeous piercing golden eyes 🫣 i wanna just run my finger over every little part of his face like I’m admiring a marble sculpture. I love that even as he’s fighting you he almost looks bored, keeping an elegant air to him at all times. Speaking of elegant I don’t know if you seen a video of his boss fight but I really reccomend you do because his movements are beautiful. He uses his sword so skillfully it’s like a dance. I could watch him for hours. Especially his tail!! They animated it beautifully.

I also love his voice, we don’t hear much of it but it’s such a deep, gruff voice that I just adore❤️❤️😭❤️💕 i would pay a million dollars for him to have just one proper line of dialog but I’m happy listening to what we have~

His lore is also insanely cool. Being an elden ring character with no dialog, what we know about him and the others like him is pretty limited to location and item descriptions. Basically he is one of the few left of a race known as godskins that served a “gloam eyed queen”, and their main thing is killing the gods and wearing their flesh. There are indeed many godskin nobles in the game, so he’s not even really a singular character, but I have particular fondness for the one in volcano manor and tend to ship my tarnished with that one most of the time~ I headcanon him as a mute, incredibly somber man that puts his duties above all else and has little time for nonsense. Though of course my tarnished is 100% nonsense all the time. Opposites attract ❤️

Oh and in case you were wondering “how far into this post before sawney mentions he likes fat guys” it’s right here. love me a fat guy.
