every time i throw away the can from hard cider it feels Wrong in my bones bc it Should be a bottle deposit cause it Feels like a soda can cause it basically Is a soda can but No
#4th grade essay topic was bottle deposit law#and 9 yesr old me felt So strongly that it needed to expand to include like wine bottles and stufd#and i was right#okay so fun little story about 4th grade me#at one point i was in the car during some fog and my mom was like 'it should be legally required to have your headlights on in fog'#and i was like yes this is true#and wrote the state rep and senator about it#senator gave me some form reply with like a list of relevant bills that hadn't passed#so i don't remember his name or anything and i was just like 'okay so that was being ignored'#but i was Obsessed with our state rep for a year or two after that#like asking my parents if they voted for him and shit#while knowing literally nothing about his policies or positions (they're trash btw)#because he responded to my letter like a person and made it Feel like i was being listened to#which is literally all it takes to get a child to like you#original post

Just wondering, do you consider it wasteful to do any fanfic/derivative work, or simply the ones that are attempting to brute force a preferable outcome to an unsatisfying story? Like, would you consider it the same waste if LR was a spin-off comic about uhhh [idk much about LO bare with me] filling in that decade time skip, rather than a beat for beat rewrite? Again, hope my tone isnt giving hostile vibes, as im genuinely curious your opinion. Thanks!
no not at all, even though i have been hostile to some people in a "come the fuck on" way, i appreciate having a back and forth with someone where we both whittle something down until we hit a nugget of understanding that helps us understand. i dont know. something more. anyway:
i dont think wasteful is the right word but i think i'm WAY more glib about it than the vast majority of people in fandom spaces or artistic spaces. im 33 and been online since i was in the 4th grade, so my experience with fanfiction has been VAST and varied but i have never cared for the medium much at all. i was, growing up, an outside hostile observer who was part of the people who would "spork" (I KNOOOWWWWW) fanfictions of especially dubious nature and tear it to shreds. however, it was understood that these extreme examples were not representative of the majority of the contributions to the form, but i do not have the same sort of baseline respect for the craft it has been trying to demand for the past decade or so. it is forever going to be tied with its origins with the worst of the worst by means of negative psychological association. many such cases
WHATEVER anyway, i think its less about the fact that it's derivative work (lots of derivative work can be incredible) but that fact that its a derivative work without a purpose. like i'm not sure what it's supposed to add to the conversation except that this one person thinks that they can make a bad comic a little bit better. which like, okay. get in line pall! most people could! what are they contributing to a grander discussion? what is this comic supposed to make me, the reader, think? literally the only answer i can think of is "i am doing better!"
even something that fills in a time skip (lol i forgot abt that) struggles under the weight of the same purposelessness. the question that should be asked is "but why?"; what is the purpose of it? what is the point? is it fun? that's fine, but audiences who are external to the creation process are probably not going to get the same fun from reading it as the artist did making it.

2 3 9 24 25 48 53 54 55 56 66 74 79 80 96 111 148 haha have fun i hope this isn’t too many <3 (you can skip any of them if you want except the last one)
2: What’s your dream pet? (Real or not)
I want rats. a cat maybe? I need a nice sized fluffy animal with some amount of intelligence. if we’re thinking about not-real pets, I’d want something that shapeshifts so that I can have all assortments of pets (this shapeshifter will be smart, can fly, can become pocket-sized, can swim, etc.)
3: Do you have a favorite clothing style?
uhhh I like a lot of clothes. ive had my style described as somewhat fae-like? I like colorful graphic tees and solid tank tops and maxi skirts and dresses with pockets and jeans (💗) and the occasional brown or blue eyeliner. idk ill add the fav outfit photos from raes ask and you guys can see (all the asks are tagged “asks”
9: Are you ticklish?
yes, quite a good bit.
24: Favorite constellation?
I don’t know a lot of constellations? but im a Leo ig (August 14!)
25: Favorite star?
okay the marauders fan in me wants to say Sirius but tbh I really like Pollux! it’s the brightest star in Gemini and I like its name and the fact that it has a planet circling it and it’s a red star. but tbh I mostly like the fact that it is pretty and has a cool name (story of my life)
48: A sound you really love?
I already answered this with birds, but also rain and thunder!
53: How are you feeling right now?
better since I woke up. can’t really get upset or else my mother will get mad at me for being a drama queen. uh idk.
54: What color would you like your hair to be right now?
I want to keep it natural, but also green streaks in it would be really fun! right now it’s brown, but a little lighter.
55: When did you feel happiest?
this summer! it’s really weird to be constantly invited to do things with your friends and to actually have a life without having to be shoved in summer programs. also from a more nostalgic outlook, elementary school.
56: Something that calms you down?
you. sometimes music but that’s riskier because sometimes music makes me feel things that I don’t want to feel. distraction is good too. and hugs. and after I get all the panic out im kinda a shell so ig it calms me down.
66: Favorite emoticon:
<3
74: What is one random but interesting fact about yourself?
uhhh im trying to find something you don’t know. I was a really big dystopian novel fan in 4th/5th grade until Covid times where I watched a dystopian short film on YouTube that freaked me out so much I didn’t want to be in the dark alone for the whole night. I like dystopians though! just a fun little anecdote.
79: Something you wish didn’t exist:
climate change, war, discrimination, extinction, beauty standards, cheap polyester clothing industry (please I need good clothes)
80: Some thing you wish did exist:
teleportation machine
96: Winter or summer?
summer (duh)
111: A question you hate being asked?
favourite book, because that fluctuates depending on what ive read recently and I read too much to have an ultimate favourite book. there are books for different moods and situations! you can’t just make me choose one! oh also question 148 on this ask game (how dare you qua)
148: Favorite physical thing about yourself:
uh. I guess my hair is finally at a pretty cute length.

I watched Kim Possible as a kid and liked it back then. But as an adult, I dont really remember something too compeling about it. What do you think makes it special and worth peoples time besides nostalgia? Sorry if the ask sounds combatative, just intereted
a good question!
i'm not sure i have too many memories of it as a kid. i know i was in it for nicole sullivan cuz i was a mira nova fan. and then...it stuck? nothing stood out to me as a kid too much, but then when season 4 came around (i was out of high school by then) i remember being excited. so something about it must have stuck with me as....just good fun, since i was so invested in the 4th season being a thing. then when the season actually aired, some episodes i found annoying and cheesy. not Graduation though, that was amazing. to be clear, i was only into kim/ron as a ship at the time and not much really.
so....as a teen, i have no idea really. can't put my finger on it other than it was good clean fun? as an adult... i binged the show and i started out loving kim/ron as a perfect friends to romance pairing. great healthy example of that. then i saw that drakgo was the popular ship and headed that route.
but in terms of depth to the show? you kind of have to create your own. i think it's why i find the show easy to write for because it's a very blank slate. you have good established canon with consistent continuity, plenty of tiny hints at deeper possibilities... but pretty much the lore is all up to the fans. very little actually onscreen, compared to other shows. so it's fun in that way.
as a show though it's just....good clean fun. a girl's version of the a-team perhaps? hits all the 00's teen marks. it's definitely not a show written for adults to enjoy, definitely written for older kids/teens. relatable to that age i guess, but specifically of that generation.
i suppose.... okay well, honestly. compelling factors?
shego is hot. a certain crowd are gonna go for that. kim too but she's a minor so i don't automatically think of that.
now ron... ron is a compelling character. he's the underdog who gets the girl in the end. i think many people would identify with ron? a lot of the stereotypes i think are contrived by fandom, but the show is easily interpreted that way... a dork, a loser, no-skills low-grades nobody, who gets the girl in the end. so that i can see as a compelling factor.
but overall i think it's just fun. like i said a few times before. good clean fun. i liken it to a show like Recess. fun characters, fun stories, but not much else to it besides good clean fun. although i'd argue Recess had more depth lol.
guess i'm saying it's not that compelling? haha. i think the superfans choose to like it, like me. for nostalgia mostly. and community.
would be curious to hear @sharperthewriter's opinion on this.

"MY LIFE STORY ABOUT CHILDHOOD TO ADULTHOOD"
My name is Chaine Aira Talingting Cabarrubias, and this is my life journey. I'm so lucky to have a supportive family, especially my parents, who worked tirelessly to provide for their family. Despite the challenges we've encountered together, they showered us with love and encouragement. The house echoed with the sound of bedtime stories, whispered secrets, playing music or instruments, and singing together. It was our comfort zone when we were facing our problems and struggles in life.
During childhood, I sometimes wanted to be a princess in the coronation night however, we have no money to become a princess therefore it's expected that I'm not the one to win the crown, because this princess competition was held during fiesta celebration and this coronation is just based who has the highest money and were just average family and our opponents was rich so basically we just expects to lost but its very funny because I won and become a princess which is very surprising with the turn of event's the funny thing is that I just only won because one of the candidate wanted to have soft drinks and it happen to be that the mother doesn't have any money left in her pocket except the money in the envelope so the mother take 8 pesos from the envelope just to buy her daughter soft drinks and eventually thats there biggest mistake because thats the reason they lost and I win and I only win to them by 75 cents thats very hilarious right, becoming a princess just because of 75 cents and thats me.
Being the eldest child, it's my responsibility to be my siblings role model, and I really want to be the one they look up to. Yeah, I really tried, but as a human, I know that I have flaws too. I'm trying to be a good example to them. As a child, I used to be pampered and always have my way with everything I desired. My parents have been very doting on me since I was also very obedient to them, but all of a sudden that changed because my brother was born, and suddenly the attention was not on me anymore. It made me feel sad for a while because I thought that my parents loved my baby brother more than me. I was jealous, but I couldn't help it. I also felt bad for my behavior, which is why I realized I needed to change it, and eventually I learned how to love and take care of my brother like the good elder sister I am. Then we grow to be very close as siblings until my parents' children give birth to the other four of us.
When I was studying in primary school, I used to be on the honor roll from 1st grade to 3rd grade. At that time, I knew that I made my parents proud, but when I reached 4th grade, my grades suddenly declined, which made me sad because I felt that I had disappointed my parents. I really feel down, and I'm not the cheerful little girl I'm used to being. At that time, my parents noticed my sadness, and they decided that they had to do something to cheer me up. Since it's summer vacation, my parents plan to spend our vacation in my mother's hometown in the province to have some fun and, at the same time, create some happy memories that we spend together. Also, my parents told me that there's no need to be sad about me not getting an award or honor roll because they said that it's okay as long as I pass, and most important, I did my very best and studied very hard, and that's more than enough for them. At that very moment, I promised myself that next time I'll always try my hardest as a daughter to make my parents proud, and I'll make sure that their effort and sacrifices to send me to a good school are worth it. Although we struggle financially, my parents always make sure to provide us with food and a happy home to live in. They also make sure for all of us to continue our education, even though sometimes they are at their hardest to support our family financially. But still, they strive to do anything and everything to successfully raise us and make us respectful and kind-hearted people.
As a teenager, my high school and senior high school moments were very memorable. I met new people and new friends, and I always wanted to explore and learn new things that could make me grow and develop into who I am right now. At this age, I have learned from the people I've been with that there's nothing permanent in this life because even the people we cherish and treasure the most have to leave us, and it's all part of the journey. Only my family is always there for me during my ups and downs. They didn't leave me when I was at my hardest times in life. They are always there for me every time I feel down, and they always cheer me up and encourage me to go beyond life. And that is why I want to work harder to give my family a stable life, and my goal is to give my parents a comfortable lifestyle during their older years. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying my best to be better because, as humans, everybody makes mistakes, but those mistakes can also make us stronger and teach us a life lesson. I also accepted my failures and mistakes, and my parents also taught me that everybody must accept defeat because not anything in this world you want, you can have it. Because if you can't experience being defeated, you can't be the winner in the end. Life lessons can be harsh; just humbly accept them and surrender yourself to the Lord, who will guide you to be who you want to be in the future.

5, 19, and 29 for the ask game !!
(ask game from here)
5. Do you have any writing superstitions? What are they and why are they 100% true?
hmm i don't think i actually have any KDJFKSDF uh but i love it when i write stuff and the word count ends in a 0 or a 5 (e.g. 1490 words). it rarely happens in the fics i write but i try so hard when i write like. discussion posts for homework to make it so that it ends in a 0 or 5.
oh another thing i'm weird about when writing is using adverbs? i read somewhere a long time ago that you shouldn't use adverbs while writing and just rephrase the sentence to say what you meant directly. i think it was talking about academic writing like an essay or research, but it stuck with me so bad that now, i naturally cringe when i write an adverb in fic. these days i'm trying to not be so weird about it because i think you can still use adverbs just sparingly LMAO idek why that sort of thinking stuck with me, because sometimes, an adverb is just the best way to write what you want to convey. just use it wisely!
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?
okay so when i was little, i actually really wanted to be a fashion designer. like my parents bought me a shitty little lightbox for tracing and clothing silhouette stencils, and i kept a notebook where i pasted all of my shitty little clothing designs in (i have no idea where this notebook went). that's what baby amihan thought they were going to pursue and grow up to be, so i invested a lot of time in that as a kid (insert Does He Know? Paul Dano Meme).
but one day at my elementary school, they introduced this thing to the 4th-6th graders called "junior olympics" and it was basically just a little competition with four categories/events, those being (1) math test, (2) spelling bee, (3) oral performance, and (4) writing a story. you can see where this is going, right?
they had us all apply for at least one event and even as a kid, i hated math so i was like no ❌ to the math event, and the spelling bee and the oral performance ones made me nervous because i was very shy and introverted as a kid. that left only the writing event, so i was like yeah why not?
the writing event was basically writing as much of a story as you can within a certain allotted time, and i truthfully cannot remember what the first story i wrote was BUT what i can tell you is that i won first place each year from my 4th-6th grade years like i ate that shit up! i do remember in 5th grade, my submission for the story-writing that year was a piece in which i killed all of my teachers in fantastical ways. KJDHFKJSDJKFD like all of them got murdered on the school campus by some sort of fantasy creature, and i remember ending the story dramatically by killing the principal via got eaten by a dragon because i LOVE dragons and i was in a big dragon phase at the time (i was reading so many books with dragons in them omg). but guess who won first place? 🥳 yours truly.
and winning three times in a row really did it for me. i was like wow it is so much fun to write silly little stories and then receive validation for being a good writer 🥰 and for a while, i actually ended up wanting to pursue being a writer! in elementary school, i started getting my parents to buy me composition notebooks and regular spiral notebooks simply just to write my silly little stories in, but i never finished them or i would tear out the pages and rewrite it because (1) it wasn't good enough to me or (2) i didn't like how i wrote it. some of you have seen me post my math notes and have told me i have nice handwriting; how do you think i got such nice handwriting? 😁 from tiny 9 year old me putting in The Work carefully and painstakingly rewriting every damn word so that it came out perfect like the absolute fucking cycle path she was ☝️👹
but yeah, i still have those stacks of composition notebooks and stuff that i go through and reread every couple of years to visit my inner child; she still lives in those pages and i like to pay my respects to her. i pay homage to that kid everytime i write my silly little fanfics now 🤍
as for what came after, i started writing more and more fanfic the older i got and the more media i became interested in. if you've ever seen my ao3, i only have a few things properly uploaded but my google drive is chock full of half written fics and documents with like up to 80+ pages of informal conceptual writing. part of the reason why i don't have many finished fics is because i attended a college prep school after elementary and it just. in hindsight, i wish i never let my parents talk me into doing the entrance exam for that school 😹 i'd probably be a lot happier and more sane right now if i did. but here we are! now i'm a bio major and writing about all the creative ways a dead bird and amnesiac elf can be intimate with each other for funsies! can i get an Amen hallerlujah 🙏
29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?
it's probably from the undiagnosed mental illnesses and the endless uncontrollable imagination i've had since i was a child that's always outrun the cruel grasp of reality. KJDFHKSDHJFKDJS no but i just get so easily inspired by everything around me idk ☝️😳
i've talked about it before in a different ask game answer, but because i have so many different interests that are extremely unrelated to each other, i have a wide array of experiences and knowledge to pick from. the analogy i used back then was arranging all of my interests on a color wheel and picking at two opposite interests like they're complementary colors, e.g. the fact that i am a huge bts fan and am a major revalinker simultaneously. at the time of writing this, i was listening to 'daechwita' by agust d and i suddenly got this imagery of link killing his past self who's grown too arrogant to keep himself humble and it's so delicious to me. or like, i don't know how to elaborate, but just. botw link spiritually killing his predecessors so that their achievements don't drive him insane. yum.
when the inspiration well runs dry, i just take a step back from writing for a bit and let what i've already written marinate a little. i did that recently with the fic i had planned for revalink week d1 (don't get your hopes up just yet, i'm not gonna work on it until after my finals next week are over), and when i reread my outlining again i was like HMFGHMFHGMF. delicious. can't wait to work on this 😋
in terms of getting ideas, they kind of just come and go? the best way i can explain is that i'm quite literally a prophet of the revalink gods. should they desire to bequeath upon me the sacred words, then i shall gladly receive it and share the word of the gospel with you all 🤍
#ask#ask game#cryiling#I WASN'T EXPECTING TO WRITE THAT MUCH FOR THE SECOND ONE KDJHFKJSDHFJDHKS#amihan lore#yes i still use they/them pronouns but yes i refer to my younger self as she/her#that's what she used and i'm not taking that from her#she's a different person from me but treat her with respect! she's just a baby#no but fr i'm so excited to finish my revalink week d1 fic#i hope u guys will like it too 🤍

05.09.23
okay so... deep breath...
im barely hanging on you guys. like. i am under so much stress.
so basically i had two exams to retake: probability and functional analysis. and it's the only ones i have left to complete my degree. but, here's the fun little twist! if i don't pass im out! i only have one chance to pass them. and if i don't, thats 4 years of studying down the drain. fun fun fun!!!!!
so the first exam was on the 28th and it was really hard. i studied a lot, made flashcards and everything. and it was like impossibly hard. the thing is, this was a yearly class, so the overall grade is the average of two semesters. i got a 4.5 for the 2nd semester, so i only need 3.25 to pass the year. but the exam was so hard idek if i got 3.25... the prof said that if we only fill out the theory questions, that's a 4. the theory questions counted up to 8 points, so like if i get 8 points overall, that's a pass. but guys... im so scared...
so ive been freaking out a lot. and taking anxiety meds. and when i think about this exam i feel this FEAR in all caps. like. it's so bad. i can't sleep, i can't do anything, my skin is breaking out, it's hell.
then the second exam was on the 4th, so yesterday. and i was this close to losing it like the pressure was too much to handle. i burst out crying right before the exam but i managed to calm down. and tbh i think i'll pass this one. it was also quite difficult but i think i did okay. but still. the FEAR...
like i can't even describe it to you guys. i don't know if i'll even be able to have the courage to open my grades when they arrive. like i went on the university portal yesterday and my hands started shaking and i like had to crouch down bc my whole body became so weak i couldn't stand. it was terrifying.
so yeah... im really not having a good time right now.
in other news, okay, so i wanted to find a video in my whatsapp messages. so i went to "media" and started scrolling and i stumbled upon some things B and i had sent to each other back in the day. and i saw his new profile picture and.... he's in budva.
and okay first of all call me fucking geoguesser. bc the picture is just a selfie of him standing in front of a mountain. and i knew it was budva just from the shape of the mountain alone. and his head in blocking most of the mountain too but i still knew that it was budva right away.
then out of curiosity i checked his telegram profile picture and it's him in the old town sitting on a boulder like the thinker. again, i knew it was budva right away lol. and it's funny bc i saw that he deleted all of our telegram messages. all of them! i wonder when he did it. and why.
and also it hurt bc budva is MINE. like when lucien went to budva i was super jealous. but like whatever, it's a touristy destination, it doesn't matter. but it's strange that B went there. i mean we have so many memories there together. it's like if i went to sarajevo all of a sudden. and i wonder who he went with. his friend from belgrade? his new gonzesse lol? anyway, yeah.
another weird thing is that okay my zurich friend was in town and he asked to hang out and i had to decline bc i was studying for the exam. and then i saw on instagram that he posted this one song to his story. and the story itself was weird, my oxford bestie sent it to me like "what is this? why is he so weird?". it was basically like a blurry photo of a dimly lit street but like whatever artsy.
but yeah, it gave me whiplash because i had posted this exact song to my story exactly a year ago. day for day. like isn't that a weird coincidence.
and usually you know how im very obsessive especially when it comes to music. like if i like a song i listed to it on repeat non stop for days. and because of that a lot of the music i listen to is linked to a certain period of my life. so the song my zurich friend posted is the song of me breaking up with B. that's why it stood out to me so much. it's so strange...

okay so since you’ve requested stories about the weird shit we did as kids, I too was a warrior cats kid 😌😌 we had our own clans and warrior cat names. on our playground there was this tiny little section of “woods” (it was like four trees lmao), but we would set up our dens there. we had a hell of a time (I was the leader btw and my best friend was the healer - my name was dawnstar)
and also like the entirety of the 4th/5th grade was SUPER into Percy Jackson (the og series). so during art class we sat at these big tables and usually had free working time to do whatever project we were working on. so we would be sat around this big-ass art room table on those squeaky art room stools getting INTO IT about our thoughts on the books. I’m serious we were having fucking Discourse™️ and we were so serious about it. honestly it was so fucking fun tho
anyway we all collectively despised the movie when it came out in case anyone was waiting with bated breath to hear the hot takes of a bunch of like 8/9 year olds in art class
so yeah, that was my weird shit as a kid. good times honestly
LITERALLY, when my friends and I played, we played on our elementary school’s field that have like a collective seven or eight trees that were dotted around the perimeter of the field? Our different clans took different little clusters on each side of the field. And like we’d set up our little nests at those trees. So I was medicine cat at one tree, the kits hung out at another tree, the apprentices trained at another tree and so on. So if you wanted to visit another clan, you’d have to run acROSS THE WHOLE DAMN FIELD. Like if I were looking at it now, it probably wouldn’t look that far, but when you’ve got little legs, every distance is super long. 🥲
I never got suuuuper into the Percy Jackson books (which makes no sense because I was into basically every other book series??). Like I read the first book and kind of stopped there? But I did have a similar experience when I read the Hunger Games books. Because me and a couple of friends I had in my middle school pigeon class would regularly discuss the books and the movies because we were all obsessed with them. God, what a time to be alive. 😌

OKAY ANON, I've got some FUN things for you!

Do you have any theo/thiam fic recommendations?
I love all of your works and I can't stop going back and rereading them all they're soooooo *chefs kiss* <3
So I’ve had to admit this before, and it remains embarrassing as ever, but I don’t actually read much S5-and-onward fic. 😬 If you want some recs for Clarke/Lexa (the 100), Steve/Bucky (Captain America), or Oliver/Felicity (Arrow), among some others, I’ve got you, but otherwise I’m afraid I won’t be of much use.
But that doesn’t mean no one would be! So I am tagging some folks who I hope won’t mind, with the encouragement to share their own thiam fics, or their recommendations: @officialthiamlibrary , @equallyloyalandlethal , @ksbbb , @tonytones5000 , @theoceanismyinkwell , @inabottlelikelightning , @jmeelee , @snaeken , @extrasteps , @wolfboy88 .
And I would be remiss if I didn’t also tag two amazing TW/Thiam fan artists, whose work everyone should also check out: @artzeppo , @pottersfieldcustodian .
(I obviously couldn’t tag everyone, so I encourage others to tag their own favorite authors/artists/friends to share their work as well!)

Class Fight (parent!c!Schlatt x daughter!reader)
Hints of c!Wilbur x reader. Kind of in a high school AU. Definitely putting in the hybrid parts for this story, makes it a bit more fun. This is a song fic, song is Class Fight by Melanie Martinez
Y/n eyes danced over to the brunette who had charmed her. He looked up and smiled, making the teen blush slightly. Wilbur was one of her oldest friends and definitely the hottest guy in her grade, sadly he was taken by the head cheerleader Sally Fisher. God, did Y/n envy her. Well, she would've if she didn't catch Sally locking lips with Dream, the school's star quarterback. Wilbur turned his attention to his girlfriend and grinned wildly as she made her way to him. They shared a quick kiss, making the h/c haired teen roll her eyes.
"Y/n Schlatt to the office to go home." Her teacher said. The teen nodded and put her laptop in her bag and left the classroom. The proud and polished horns of her father caught her eye as he was talking to her math teacher, probably charming the woman into giving his daughter a better grade. "Dad, ready to go?" "Of course princess, let's go." You followed your father out to the sleek black Impala, hopping in the passenger's seat.
"Your horns are growing in well, figured you'd have some nice ones, buttercup." You nodded, not really acknowledging him. "What's his name?" "What?" You father shot you a knowing look before turning his gaze back to the road. "You have that lovesick look, the same one you had when you first watched Captain America." "Chris Evans is different dad." Schlatt chuckled at his stubborn daughter. "What's his name?" "Dad!" "Or her, I won't judge." "Dad! What the hell?!" "Name, kid." "Wilbur Minecraft." "Phil's kid? The one that mowed our lawn?" "That was Techno, dad. Wilbur's the one who taught me guitar." "Ah, well what's stopping you from asking him out?" "His bitch of a girlfriend." "What's wrong with her?" "I caught her making out with Dream." "Who?" "Football player, dad. He's an ass." "Sounds about right." You watched the road, the car falling silent. "So are you going to tell me why one of your horns are cracked?" You winced at his stern tone. He noticed it. "It's nothing dad." "Y/n." Sure, he wasn't the best father, but he knew when something was wrong, especially after catching his daughter a few days ago with a limp and a fading black eye. "Sally and her friends jumped me. Said that I need to stay silent about her and Dream." "Princess, I'm gonna tell you this once and only once, okay?" Y/n nodded. "The next time she puts her hands on you, go for the throat. I assume you have pictures of everything she did. And told a few teachers." "I told Ms. Groves and Mr. Mackles." "And the pictures of every time she attacked you?" "Yeah." The teen mumbled. "And any photos of her and that Dream kid?" "A few. Why?" "Don't worry your pretty little head princess."
That conversation was about two weeks ago. Y/n should have never told her father. She was too meek to hit back, too timid, like a sheep. "Hey mutton chops!" Y/n flinched at the name, hurrying to shut her locker and run down the hallway. "Get back here sheep girl!" The timid teen yelped as her hair was yanked back. She landed on her side, wincing as she was immediately kicked in the stomach. "Stay the fuck away from Wilbur, bitch." A sickening snap filled the ram hybrid teen's ears followed by sudden gasps. The cheerleader had snapped one of her horns. "Maybe you'll learn your lesson, bitch." The teen flinched as the group left, a few girls looking back at her, mouthing apologies. The girl's hands shook as she called her father. "What princess? I'm busy-" "I need you to pick me up." "Kid-" "She broke my horn dad. I don't even know where it is, I think she took it with her." "Bathroom now, lock yourself in there and wait." The teen could hear her father rushing to get to his car. "Make sure she didn't snap your horn at the base, if she did, check for bleeding. Try and stop it, if you're bleeding. I'm on my way right now." "Okay." Schlatt's heart broke, hearing the teen's shaking soft voice. He grinded his teeth together as he listened to the girl make her way to the bathroom. "It's not bleeding, broken at the spot where that crack was." "Good, I'll be there soon kiddo." He hung up on his daughter and called his neighbor and friend. "Schlatt? Aren't you supposed to be-" "Working? Yes. Look I need you to pick up Tubbo when you pick up Tommy." "Why do I-" "Y/n got jumped at school, they broke her horn, Phil." The ram hissed. "I'll get him. Make sure she's alright for me. Who did it?" "Your son's bitch of a girlfriend." "Techno has a girlfriend?" "Wilbur, you dumbass." "Will broke up with his girlfriend a few days ago mate." Schlatt's blood was boiling at this point as he drove. "Good, she was bullying my kiddo. Anyways, I gotta go." With that he hung up, then called an emergency line and told them to meet him at the school, being the mayor has it perks.
Back with Y/n, Sally had decided to go for a matching set. "Oh wool bag!" Y/n winced, her back meeting the wall behind her as the stall door was kicked open. "Look at the pathetic little bitch." The girl cackled at the shaking teen. "Come here!" She yanked her up by her other horn. Within seconds, Schlatt's words danced in her ears. The ones where he and her younger brother were helping her.
"Dad, why do I feel sad? Should I give him away or feel this bad?" The teen asked as her father pressed an ice pack to her shoulder. "No no no, don't you choke, go for the throat." He was not going to let his daughter give up her chance with Wilbur. He wanted his princess to be happy.
Y/n was quick to wrap an arm around Sally's, and brought it down then tripping the girl making it to where Y/n was over her. The ram teen went apeshit on the girl, remembering the lessons with her father, practically smashing the girl's face in. Shrieks filled the room as the girl got her horn free and started hitting harder, all of her bottled up anger being released on the girl below her.
"That's enough!" She was yanked back by a blue uniform. "Miss Schlatt, this way." Her bag was picked up as she was lead out the bathroom and down the hall. Upon entering the office, she rushed to her father. He pulled his daughter to him shushing the sobbing teen. He knew Y/n was a very delicate kid, but he did notice the bruised knuckles, mentally praising his daughter. "Excuse me but she attacked our daughter!" Schlatt put his hand up to silence Sally's mother. "Check your daughter's backpack, and tell me what you see." The woman huffed, rolling her eyes before opening the coral chevron bag. She screamed, dropping the bag, a ram horn rolling out and across the floor. "Your daughter attacked mine first. Look at those photos." Schlatt gestured to the laptop on the counter of the office.
Hours later, Sally was arrested.
Schlatt lead his daughter out the office, ignoring the two Minecraft boys who were staring at him and Y/n. He carefully helped her into the car before driving.
"I'm proud of you princess. Not really the throat, but it works." "I'm sorry dad." He raised a brow at her. "How so?" "I risked your position as mayor." "Kiddo, I'm still a lawyer, you really wanna argue with me right now?" He reached over and brushed a lock of h/c away from the girl's face. "Look at me." Y/n looked at her father. "I'm proud of you kid. So fucking proud." He smiled at her. "Now, what do you want to eat? You need a reward dinner. Also, I'll be getting you a prosthetic horn for that one until it grows back again." "Thanks dad." "Not a problem, just don't start fights alright?" "Only finish them." "That's my girl!"
The girl sat on her bed, messing with the prosthetic horn, when a knock made her jump. "C-Come in!" Wibur pushed the door open, a small bouquet of f/f in his hand. "Hey." "Hi." He offered her the flowers before setting them on her desk. "Look-" Y/n started. "I'm sorry." Wilbur blurted out. She blinked a few times, not expecting him to apologize. "What?" "I should've been there to help you, especially after my dad texted me to go find you. I didn't think she had a problem with you." Wilbur said. The girl gave a small smile. "I forgive you Will." "Thank you N/n." A moment of silence passed before the male gestured to the fake horn. "I thought your horn was..." "Broken? It was, this is a prosthetic. My dad got it for me." Wilbur nodded. He walked over and sat beside her on the bed, gently taking her hand. "Will, I..." Y/n started. What was she going to do, tell him how she's had a crush on him since 4th grade? Would that make her look pathetic? He gave a gentle tap on her real horn to get her attention. "You know..." He started, locking eyes with her. "Between your dad and your brother, I don't know who's worse at keeping secrets." The girl's nerves go to the best of her as her face flushed red. "W-What?" "So when were you going to tell me, your best friend, that you had a huge crush on me?" He grinned. She rolled her eyes and playfully shoved him off the bed. "How dare you." He chuckled, sitting up. "Unless you're gonna confess to some hidden crush to me, I don't wanna hear you start." She shot back. "I do have one thing." "What?" He got up and tilted her head to look at him. Wilbur leaned down and kissed the girl's lips. "I did always like you." He smiled as they separated. "If this is your attempt of asking me out, it sucks. Techno could've come up with something better." "Bitch!" Y/n erupted into laughter as Wilbur laid across her bed. "I hate you." He pouted. "Love you too Will." She laughed. "Hey, Y/n?" "Hm?" "Will you be my girlfriend?" "I'll think about it. But first..." she smacked him with a pillow. "Now I'll be your girlfriend."

The Forgotten Shounen: Katekyo Hitman Reborn
This is not a “Why you should watch/read khr” or anything like that. This is just me going into the deep dive and throwing my findings at you. I’m making this because khr used to be my favourite series when I was 15 (I had plushees, posters, tradingcards, the art book etc) and now as an adult I constantly find myself baffled at how unknow it seems to be.
1. Okay first what is khr?
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! or just Reborn! is a series by Akira Amano which was published in Weekly Shounen Jump from 2004 to 2012 (with 42 volumes) and got an anime adaption which run from 2006 to 2010 on Tv Tokyo (with 202 episodes and one OVA).
2. What’s it about?
Khr is a parody of the italian mafia and plays in a world where the mafia is heavily influencial. The protagonist is the japanese middle schooler Sawada Tsunayoshi who is known as “No good Tsuna” because of his failing grades, general weak and cowardly personality and weak physics.
He becomes aware of the mafia world when a 2 year old baby called Reborn arrives at his house claiming to be the greatest hitman and declaring himself his home tutor. Reborn was send by the 9th head of the Vongola famiglia who is ready to retire and looking for a new heir. Which of course, is supposed to be Tsuna and now it's Reborns job to shape him into a worthy sucessor.
Tsuna rejects the violence of the mafia world and refuses the position as the 10th. Thanks to Reborn and his general craziness Tsuna meets different people and starts to make real friendships. Reborn wants 6 of those friends to be Tsuna's future guardians, basically a group of people which will be closest to him in the vongola famiglia. Tsuna might have no interest in those positions but the friendships he builds with them become really precious to him.
Reborns arrivial also brings in the enemies of the Vongola family which leads to Tsuna being forced to engage in battles. Generally Tsuna openly avoids fights and prefers to run away but will put himself in danger for his friends' sake or because of something Reborn did.
Through out the series Tsuna matures and gains strenght but he never becomes a power fantasy. He's just a guy with many flaws who grows through the human connections he makes.
Personally I think the relationship between Reborn and Tsuna is one of the best student teacher reltaionships in all of manga only topped by Mob and Reigen from Mob Psycho 100. Especially the last arc really underlines their unique relationship to me.
Furthermore, khr offers a new and unique battle system: The flames. I'm not gonna go into to too much detail but the general idea is that one fights with their dying will flame which basically turns off your the savety switch so you can fight with everything you have. The flames are seperated into different categories such as: sky, storm, mist, rain, sun, lightning and cloud and have different attributes asigned to each one. Tsuna's use of the sky flame and his transformation when using it is still one of my favourite shounen transformations to this day.
3. What happened?
The series did really well and then not so well over the course of its serialisation. After the manga got an anime adaption it increased in populairty and video games, light novels, and other products such as CDs were created based on the series. Reborn is one of the best selling series of Weekly Shōnen Jump and has sold around 30 Million volumes overall. It was and still is very popular in Japan but rather unknown in the west.
According to the article "The Rise and Fall of Weekly Shonen Jump: A Look at the Circulation of Weekly Jump" khr was the 10th bestselling series in Weekly Shōnen Jump, with a total of 7 million copies sold in 2007.
This number increasing to 15 milion in 2008. Which placed khr into the 4th best selling series of 2008 in Japan.
Between 2008 and 2010 those sales declined but still kept strong with khr as the 6th top selling manga in 2009, 8th best selling in 2010 and then 24th best selling in 2012.
In November 2014, readers of the Da Vinci magazine voted khr number 17 on a list of Weekly Shōnen Jump's greatest manga series of all time.
After the anime came to an apprupt stop in 2010 for unknown reasons the manga sells took a visible hit. (Apparently the studio wanted to put the anime on halt because they were busy with other projects and give Akira Amano time to develop her story but I couldn't find any source for this claim) Furthermore, the rushed last chapters of the manga in 2012 declined the popularity of the series even more. There's no offical statement as to why the manga was ended in such a way but it's reasonable to assume that Jump either cut it considering the decreasing sales or Akira Amano choose to end it for personal reasons.
Nontheless, Tsuna not being included in Jump Force (a fighting game where you can play as different characters from Jump) in 2019 even tho he made it in earlier Jump Stars games also underlines the decreased interest in the series.
Rumors on a reboot or anime adaption of the last two arcs surface from time to time but are genereally unlikely. Artland the studio which made khr has gone bankrupt around 2015-2016. It might be taken on by another studio but rather uncommen especially with such an old series.
4. Art style
The khr anime ended over 10 years ago and the old art style might not be appealing to newer audiences.
Especailly because the anime adaption follows Akira Amanos old art style which heavily developed within the years. Here a picture comparing characters in the new art style:
A modern anime adaption in the new art style would be aesthetically pleasing. It would probably look similiar to Psycho Pass since Akira Amano did the concept art for this series.
(My personal art student hot take is that both art styles are unique and fun. Up to this day Akira Amano still has my favourite art style and even if the amount folds in the characters clothing is a little extreme I love it dearly.)
5. Criticism
The show is not without flaws and even if I greatly enjoy it it wouldn't be right not to adress them.
Daily Life Arc:
A lot of people view the first 20 to 25 episodes as fillers and quickly lose intererst in the series. This is due to the fact that Akira Amano inteded the series to be a gag manga and focuses the first chapters on world building, character introduction and comical narratives. It's rumored that the decision to develop the story into a battle shounen was made because the sales weren't doing well enough at first. So the first chapters/episodes may seem titidious but are necessary for the story and the development of the characters. The tonal shift from a more gintama like gag manga to a darker battle focused story can also be offputting to some viewers.
Either way a lot of people blame this arc when discussing why khr never got an english dub or didn't end up on Toonami. I've also read that the manga never finished serializing in the north america. However, it finished in other western languages like german and spanish.
Censoring:
The anime censors A LOT. From Gokudera's smoking habit, Yamamoto's whole character arc which deals with heavy themes such as depression and suicidal thoughts. The general bloodiness of the manga was censored and sometimes whole chapters and characters were left out even if those were important to the devolopment of others.
Filler episodes:
Out of the 202 episodes the anime has around 29 filler episodes which makes roughly 14 %.
Sexism:
Even if Reborn was written by a woman most female characters are rather flat and their storylines often tied to a male character in one way or another.
Genereal things:
Khr, like many other long running series, is sometimes criticised for a lack of world building or unpopular narrative choices.
6. Hope?
Khr isn't exactly dead. As stated before the series is still very popular in Japan and still gets new merch pretty regulary. There are also petitions floating around for a reboot or a new anime season but those never get a lot of traction. Furthermore #Reborn2期アニメ化 (#Reborn2ndAnimation) used to get some traction on twitter not too long ago. Last year the Anime News Network did a poll on which anime the readers would like to see a rebooot of and khr placed second.
Either way here's a collection of recent khr things I could find.
- In 2018 a new bluray set was released in north america
- The khr stage play reached yet another new season
- A mobile game was released last year
- Currently ongoing anime cafe event called "Concerto di Vongola"
- Last month there was an event with the former VAs and stage play actors where they discussed their favourite khr episodes.
- There has been an increase in blind reacts to the openings on youtube which might bring in a new fan base. The biggest one I could find had around 90k views and was made in 2019. On this note check out the soundtrack. The first openeing Drawing Days by SPLAY still makes me go insane (but I'm biased of course)
There also renewed hope for a new season/reboot because Shaman King, Inuyasha and Bleach got anounced for new seasons after a long hiatus. It's important to keep in mind that the circumstances for those series are differnt tho. For example bleachs new anime is often tied to the immense success of the gatcha game.
7. Conclusion
Khr is a series which used to be a flagship for Weekly Shounen Jump and is deeply beloved by it's fans, especially in Japan. It influenced other shounen series like bnha. It would be nice to see it gaining a bigger fanbase in the west :)

Horizon Zero Dawn - I was so skeptical of this game at first. My brother recommended it to me, using the selling points of "strong female character," "open world," and "robot dinosaurs," which...made me wonder if he even knows me at all, because all of those make me not want to play a game ^^' (Aside: Why does everybody talk about robot dinosaurs when talking about Horizon Zero Dawn? There's only one or maybe two kinds of machines in the game that fit that description; most of the others are more like more familiar animals, like horses or big cats or something.) But I was able to get it for free, so I decided to go ahead and try it out. To my surprise, it actually ended up being really fun! I'm still not a huge fan of the characters or story itself, but the worldbuilding is phenomenal. I'm not normally a completionist, necessarily, but you can bet I went out of my way to find all the datapoints. And there's nothing like swinging onto a Strider and galloping from one end of the map to the other, watching the sun rise and set on that gorgeous scenery while beautiful atmospheric music plays.
The Cluefinders 4th Grade Adventures - Please tell me other people around here are familiar with the Cluefinders! This was one of my favorite games back in the day! You follow four kids, their talking dog, and their little flying robot computer thing as they go on adventures and solve mysteries. The animation/art style (not to mention the educational nature of the games) reminded me of Magic School Bus, which was probably part of why I was immediately receptive to it. The characters are all distinct and have great chemistry with each other, and in this one they get to go to Egypt and explore the pyramids, which was always a part of history that fascinated me as a kid. One thing I like about the Cluefinders games is that, unlike most Learning Company games that tend to focus on a single subject like math or reading, this one had a bit of everything. Did I use trial and error for the math levels I found hard? Sure, but I had fun doing it. The one downside, maybe, would be that it becomes very repetitive. You have to find a certain number of tablets or something, and to do that you have to keep going around to the same shopkeepers and doing the same tasks over and over again. But the satisfaction of finally getting to the end! The way the kids change in the final level! Also, I love the villain in this game. Sometimes, I will still quote him laughing evilly, coughing, and then saying, "I swallowed my mint." XD
Ib - Wat. How did this obscure Japanese RPG Maker horror game beat out games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider-Man? ._. Personally, I think both of those games are much better than Ib, but...okay! Don't get me wrong, I did really enjoy Ib. Probably the best RPG Maker game I've ever played. It did some really interesting things with the art - which is fitting, since it's set in a haunted art gallery. Very creepy game, to be sure.
Evoland 2 - Eyyy, somebody out there knows this game! XD Like its predecessor, this is an action/adventure game that parodies all sorts of classic video games and their tropes, but it's a much longer and more complex game than the first one, and the story is a lot more compelling. Added to Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Super Mario, I noticed some allusions to Chrono Trigger, Fire Emblem, and more. The really cool thing about this game is that it deals with time travel, so you can jump back and forth through time to figure out what you have to do to save the world from destruction. Also, to my surprise, the card minigame - something I almost always avoid when games have one - was actually really fun. I played it every chance I got.
Hob - This was such a cool little game. There are no words in it beyond the menu, so you have to figure out the story and how things work on your own. You play as...potentially the last of your kind, in a world that's being overcome by some sort of plague or poisonous growth that's making the inhabitants of the world violent. You're trying to restore the world to its peaceful, thriving state, and do so with the help of a giant robot. The only problem is, towards the beginning of your quest, you touch the poison and end up losing your arm. You get a replacement arm from the robot, and go through the rest of the game with this huge, lopsided arm. The aesthetic is very cool (lots of gears and stone overgrown with moss - made me think of Castle in the Sky), and there's just something about it that really encourages exploration.
Spider-Man - Okay, I haven't played any other Spider-Man games, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the best one. At the very least, it made me want to play it, which is more than any of the others can say :P And actually, it only took one cinematic trailer to convince me, because I saw that they'd captured Peter's quippy personality, the set pieces looked really cool, and the fighting looked really fun. That's probably the greatest strength of this game. I haven't felt so cool when fighting in a video game since Prince of Persia! Every move feels so fluid and seamless and fast-paced, the little squigglies indicating Peter's spidey-senses are so naturally integrated into the HUD, there's a huge variety of approaches you can take so you can approach a fight however you like...it just really made me feel like a superhero. The story itself is kind of standard Spider-Man fare, but I appreciated that it's set a bit later in Peter's life and career - he's still young, but it's not right when he first gets his powers, so he's got some history and experience with a lot of supervillains already. I also really liked this version of MJ and Miles Morales. The game was so fun that I played through all of the DLC as well and got something like 97% completion (I didn't do all of the challenges, and I point-blank refused to do any of the Screwball challenges). Possibly my favorite thing about the game was just New York City itself. There's a surprising amount of detail for such a huge space, and it just feels like being in a big city, which I love.
Jak 3 - I won't deny this game has some issues, but I still really like it. There's some cool father-son relationship stuff. You get a much wider world to explore in the Wasteland, and some almost Shadow of the Colossus-esque battles against huge Metal Heads. The Haven City you grew to know and love in Jak II is barely recognizable because of the Metal Head invasion. You get some seriously cool upgrades, both to weaponry and to eco abilities. YOU GET TO PLAY AS DAXTER SOMETIMES. And I'm not sure exactly what they changed, but I thought the game was much more balanced, the difficulty of missions not fluctuating quite as much as in the previous game, even though it's still fairly open-ended. There's just something about the missions in Jak 3 that made me want to keep trying every time I died, whereas Jak II often got me frustrated and wanting to give up. (Not to mention that racing is actually fun in this one? Whaaaaat, that's possible? :O) I will forever be mad about the ending, though.
Magicka - Aw, I'm sad nobody voted for this one :( It's such a fun game! It parodies a lot of fantasy stories (and the first six chapter titles are parodies of Star Wars, e.g. "The Fancy Menace" XD) It allows up to four-player co-op, so you can join your friends to fight monsters and go face off the mysterious figure who is threatening the safety of the world. The spell system is really quick and easy to pick up and intuitive to use, and allows for some really cool customization. I think this game is best played with at least two players. I played it with my brother, which was super fun - I would hang back to give cover fire and support, and he would charge into the fray. Tons of fun.

False Presumption
Theo x Stiles
Set in season 5, where Stiles was wrong about Theo.
"I'm here, babe. I won't let you get killed." -Theo assured Stiles.
"... don't call me babe! You think I didn't hear that, huh?"
Theo just sighed and shook his head. "Stiles, baby, I'm serious about what I said. I came back for you, as well, I love you. How about after all these, you go out with me?"
"This is not the time to talk about that, Theo."
Stiles turned to look at Theo and his stares was shooting daggers.
"What?" -Theo was laughing, he was having fun. "You said don't call you babe. So baby it is."
"Don't. Babe and baby. Ever." -Stiles threatened.
"Okay, okay. Alright, honeybun." -Theo was laughing and giggling. "What? How about Honey? Sweetheart? Sweetie? Munchkin? Sugar? Bae?"
"What do you want me to call you though, when we get together?" -Theo kept pushing.
"Theo..." -Stiles is royally annoyed now. "In your dreams."
"Oh, we will, Stiles. We will." -Theo declared ever so confidently.
"I know, I look different from 4th grade."
"Theo?" -Scott addressed the new werewolf.
Theo Raeken. Their friend from 4th grade suddenly came back. In their senior year. And after some pretty shit they've been through last season too. And Stiles was not having it. He is suspicious about Theo. Very. He doesn't trust the guy. That's not Theo - he says.
Stiles was hell-bent on proving it. He broke into the admin office and got the transfer form and a ticket from years ago.
"The signatures are different!" -Stiles insisted.
Still, they didn't buy Stiles's point. It was just a little different. Stiles also cornered Theo in the locker room with Scott. Interrogating him.
"...He bit me here." -Theo retold his story, teary eyed.
"He wanted to turn you." -Scott confirmed.
"Then why are you here? Why don't you join that alpha?" -Stiles pushed.
"He was dead before my first fullmoon. Killed by his own betas. Twins."
Scott looked at Stiles. Stiles just pursed his lips.
"I'm not lying, Scott. Listen to my heartbeat."
"He just might be good at hiding it, Scott." -Stiles in complete disbelief.
"I came back here for a pack. You know lone wolves never make it on their own... and I'm also here for something else."
"And what is that?" -Scott pushed.
Theo chuckled. "Oh, I-I... that's a little personal."
"Spill it!" -Stiles "You're just lying!"
"I'm not, Stiles."
"Then what's the other reason?!?" -Stiles was losing patience.
"For you... I came back for you... I like you, Stiles."
Scott raised his eyebrows, and bit back a smile.
"Wh-What? Like? Like, what like???" -Stiles fumbling.
"...As in I'm in love with you."
Stiles was speechless.
"...N-No. You're lying." -Stiles walked out on the two.
---
Stiles continued investigating Theo. He had Liam tag along and observe him for hours. 3 hours in his house, playing video games. Then into the preserve, on a bridge.
"So, what does he smell like?" -Stiles nudged Liam.
"Soap. Smells real nice."
"No, chemo signals!"
"Oh oh, yeah... sad... no, more like grief."
Then Theo dropped a flower on the water.
"...Oh god oh god! Let's go. Come on. Come on." -Stiles realized what that was all about. It's the bridge where his sister died.
He was wrong. They came back to his jeep where Stiles had a little argument with Scott.
More and more situations happened, Stiles always been proven wrong. He always think it was Theo. When it was Tracy. He was always wrong, it was never Theo. Actually, Theo helped him and saved him a lot of times.
Like tonight, Donovan was chasing him. He ran inside the library. Stiles was climbing up a scaffolding, Donovan got a hold of his ankles.
"Stiles!" -Theo came bursting into the library.
"Theo?"
Theo, shifted, ran toward the scaffolding, pushing the metal rods to fall on Donovan. Successfully impaling the chimera. Stiles watched from the scaffolding how Donovan took his last breath.
"Stiles? Are you okay?" -Theo asking him to come down the scaffolding.
"H-He's dead. You killed him, Theo."
"He would've killed you! Come on, get off the scaffolding." -Theo holding his hand out.
Stiles was shaken from what happened and the bite on his shoulder wasn't helping. He doesn't like it but he needed Theo's hand. He stepped down little by little and grabbed onto Theo's hand until he was standing on the floor. Theo saw and smelled the wound on Stiles's shoulder.
"Let me look at that." -Theo started pulling his shirt collar to expose the wound.
"Don't touch me!" -Stiles swatted his hand away. Anxiety kicking in. He knows Scott will not be happy about killing Donovan.
"Come on, Stiles. Let me look at it... or at least let me take the pain away... please?" -Theo doesn't have that smug look on his face right now. He looked genuinely worried.
Stiles was in full panic attack now. Breathing heavy, not hearing Theo at all.
"Stiles? Stiles, calm down. Breathe." -Theo repeated but nothing happened.
Theo then thought of something. He pulled Stiles by the front of his shirt and started kissing him.
Stiles shaking eyes settled on Theo kissing him. He was confused but it pulled him out of his panic. He closed his eyes and let Theo continue to kiss him. Until he felt his breathing normalize. Only then did he realized he was kissing back Theo Raeken. And once he did, he nudged Theo away.
"Are you okay now? Stiles?"
"Y-Yeah...W-What are we gonna do about him?" -Stiles referring to the dead Donovan. He said it as he held his hand out to Theo.
Theo smiled and took Stiles's hand onto his left palm, and then put his right hand over it. Black lines started appearing on Theo's forearm.
"Listen, Stiles... I know what's happening. Chimeras."
"What are you talking about?"
"They're experiments. They're humans with supernatural parts operated into them."
Stiles just looked at him, not really caring anymore that his hand is still in his.
"I know, it sounds crazy, but believe me. You saw what attacked Scott on the senior scribe. You saw what Tracy is. And the guys in the masks. They're the doctors making them."
"Why should I believe you?"
"Because I am a chimera too."
Stiles, begrudgingly, entertained what Theo was saying. Chimeras. Dread Doctors. The lab underground. Him escaping in hopes of joining a pack to save himself from the dread doctors. What creatures to expect next. How he escaped and how he remained hidden until now that is.
"Aha! So you were lying to Scott back in the lockers!"
"Yeah. I had to. I have no proof yet of the dread doctors back then, but now I have."
"Are you lying to me now?"
"I'm not lying. I will never lie to you, Stiles."
"Tracy is a werewolf kanima... what are you a mix of?"
"Werewolf and Caladrius."
"What is a Caladrius?"
"It's a roman mythical bird that takes the sickness of the patient onto itself, dispersing, and healing; both the patient and itself."
Stiles looked back on the bite on his shoulder. It was gone. Theo showed him his shoulder, the wound was transferred there! But it was healing now because of his werewolf ability. Twice as fast: healing of the Caladrius and Werewolf.
"You're welcome, Stiles." -Theo flashed him one of his confident smirks.
"...You're gonna retell all that to Scott."
"Alright."
They dialled 911 and walked out of the library. They hid in Stiles's jeep, expecting the police to find Donovan dead. But they didn't. There was nothing in there, the police said over the radio. Dismissing the 911 call as a prank. Theo and Stiles looked at each other. And went back in. The body was gone.
"Do you happen to know about this too?"
"No, Stiles. I don't."
Stiles and Theo drove to Scott and the others. Theo retold his story. Scott and Stiles started planning to find the dread doctors' lab. As they execute their plans, they encounter some bumps along the way. As Theo said, more chimeras appeared. Like Josh, who attacked Stiles on the hospital rooftop. Theo ripped his throat out.
"You didn't have to kill him!" -Scott reprimanded Theo as he brought the chimera over to Deaton's
"We won't see who takes the bodies, if we don't have a dead one." -Theo said.
Stiles and Theo stayed back to watch who takes the bodies.
Inside Stiles jeep, Stiles was drumming his fingers on the steering wheel.
"Stiles, calm down." -Theo said as he smelled anxiety from Stiles.
"I can't help it."
"I'm here, babe. I won't let you get killed."
"Isn't it supposed to be -i won't let you get hurt-?"
"Let's be honest Stiles, you always somehow get in the way and end up hurt." -Theo smirked.
"Well... and don't call me babe! You think I didn't hear that, huh?"
Theo just sighed and shook his head. "Stiles. I'm serious about what I said. How about after all these, you go out with me?"
"This is not the time to talk about that, Theo."
"It's a simple yes or no question, baby."
Stiles turned to look at Theo and his stares was shooting daggers.
"What?" -Theo was laughing, he was having fun. "You said don't call you babe. So baby it is."
"Don't. Babe and baby. Ever." -Stiles threatened.
"Okay, okay. Alright, honeybun."
Stiles opened his mouth and narrowed his eyes from annoyance. Shaking his head in disbelief.
"What? How about Honey? Sweetheart? Sweetie? Munchkin? Sugar? Bae?"
"Theo..." -Stiles is royally annoyed.
"What do you want me to call you though, when we get together?"
"Huh! In your dreams."
"Oh, we will, Stiles. We will." -Theo declared ever so confidently.
Stiles turned his attention to the smart watch he had on his rearview mirror. The body is still there.
"Mitch? Love?" -Theo said out loud.
"What?"
"From your name. Mieczyslaw."
"... Theo, stop thinking up pet names for me! Seriously!"
"Ah! I know... chief." -Theo smiled triumphantly.
"Chief? Where'd that came from?"
"You had a hard time saying and writing your name when we were kids. So you just say and write it as 'mischief.' "
Stiles looked at Theo who was smiling ever so widely. "Argh, seriously Theo, just stop."
"Wait... That smell... like burning."
The next thing Stiles knew was Theo's blood splashing on his face. Someone punched the chimera, real hard and dragged him out of the jeep. The man, on fire, started flipping his jeep. Stiles barely got out.
---
The next days were more chaos as the chimera pack came back to life. All of them claiming it was Theo who did so.
"It wasn't me!" -Theo was exasperated.
"I saw you! With my own eyes!" -Hayden.
"Theo." -Scott was getting swayed.
Stiles stepped in front of Theo. "Theo. What's the truth?" Stiles was feeling heartbroken. He was slowly trusting Theo a few days back. And now this.
"It wasn't me, Stiles." -Theo looked him straight in the eyes. "I will never lie to you, remember?"
"... It must be some chimera, Scott."
"You believe him? You're the most suspicious of him back then."
"I saw him!" -Hayden pushed.
"Yeah. I believe him, Scott." -Stiles stood firm.
Stiles stares back at Theo, and Theo stared back at him, firmly as well.
Scott trusted Stiles's judgement and soon enough, they were seeing double of some of them. At first it was Hayden. Two Haydens. It was a mimic chimera and turned out it was their teacher, Mr. Douglas. He wanted to be a supernatural and was the one who employed the dread doctors to make him a supernatural army.
The days went on and the pack constantly used Theo for healing. And Stiles was starting to hate that. He saw how careless the others had become. Because they have Theo to take it all away from them and was left to heal it on his own body.
"Scott, we need to talk." -Stiles pulled Scott away. "Stop doing that to Theo."
"Doing what?"
"Using him! You know what I'm talking about! Just look at Liam, he became so careless lately. Because he knows Theo is there to take all of that! I know, Theo heals faster than any of you, but he still feels the pain! And you haven't even accepted him into the pack!"
"... Alright, Stiles. I got it."
Stiles let out a very frustrated sigh as Scott walked back to the pack. When he was to follow Scott back into the room, Theo was at the doorframe.
"Thank you, babe." -Theo, leaning against the door frame, his arms crossed over his chest, and of course, sporting a smug smile.
"You heard?"
"Of course."
"Don't let it get into your head! And no 'babe'!remember?"
"Thank you for looking out for me." -Theo walked closer and rested his hands on Stiles's hips.
"I-I just... don't like people taking advantage of other people." -Stiles spatted back but he never minded Theo's hands on his hips. It became quite normal between them.
They've grown closer these past few days. Always together, investigating. Despite his first impression of the chimera, said chimera is smart. Sometimes finishing his sentences for him when he figures things out.
Truth be told, Theo spends time with Stiles in his room quite often lately. Sometimes coming over with food or movies. One, or two, nights ending with making out or groping. But there was one night ending up with them both panting and groaning each other's names.
Stiles thought back to one night:
'Ahh, fuck!' -Stiles thumped his head back on his bedroom door.
Theo had him pushed back against the door, kissing, nibbling and sucking on his neck; hips rolling against his own. Theo's erection inside him. Pumping. With each thrusts, pushing him up and harder against the door.
'Theo! Ohgod!' -Stiles gripped on Theo's shoulders.
'Coming, Stiles?'
'Y-Yeah!!!' -as Stiles said it, he shoots out strings of his cum between them. Staining his stomach and Theo's abs.
Theo let him, riding his climax, then Stiles was calming down, Theo lifted him off the door and walked them to the bed -all the while still inside Stiles.
'Holy shit, Theo!' -Stiles muffling on Theo's shoulders.
'My turn to come, Stiles.' -Theo laid him on his bed, legs on the chimera's shoulders. Pounding into him.
...
"You wanna do it here?"
Stiles was shaken back from his reminiscing on the best sex he's ever had. "What?"
Theo put his nose up in the air, mocking a little. "I could smell your arousal."
"Uh-No. No." -Stiles forced himself to think of something else. Freeing himself from Theo's hands on his hips.
The chimera just continued smirking.
---
"Theo, please. I'm sorry to ask this, but Deaton needs it." -Scott has once again asked Theo for healing. Deaton this time.
Theo agreed. The vet can't heal on his own. And it looked pretty bad. Gushed eyes, probably blinded. Slashed arm, crushed knuckles, and probably some broken ribs judging by how shallow Deaton was breathing. Theo took the vet's hands in his. And everything disappeared and healed from Deaton. Then one by one transferred to Theo.
Theo sat back on the floor, grunting in pain. Deaton came to and asked:
"He's got the healing of a Caladrius and Werewolf in one?" -Deaton directed to Scott.
"Yes."
"That's why the dread doctors and Douglas cannot let go of him... he is perfect."
---
Weeks passed and they were finally able to defeat Mr. Douglas and the Dread Doctors. Hayden, Corey, and Theo were the only ones who survived from the chimera pack. Scott finally accepting Theo into the pack. And asked Theo if he is claiming Stiles. To which Stiles reacted...
"Wait-What?!? There's no... no claiming's gonna happen! We're not... I mean, Theo and I..." -Stiles blurted out, his hands flailing animatedly.
Theo just chuckled and just enjoyed Stiles try to explain.
"It's okay, Stiles. I already know you two are.. doing it." -Scott said trying to fight back a smile but failed.
"D-Doing it? It? Uhm-We didn't-How'd you-"
"There are days when Theo's scent is stronger on you."
Stiles just breathed out and looked down.
"To answer your question, Scott, yes I am staking a claim on Stiles."
"Alright."
Scott and Theo shook hands.
"What?!? What the- you're not my dad, to give me away, Scott!"
"As your, both of you, alpha that is. Well... go on. Enjoy!" -Scott winked and then drove away on his motorbike.
Stiles just stood there, shocked. Theo took him away towards his truck, hand in hand.
"Come on, babe. Where do you wanna go? It's still a little early tonight."
Stiles didn't answer. He just looked back at Theo. Looking at his everything. He then remembered what Deaton called Theo way back.
"Perfect."
"What was that, Stiles?"
"Ice cream, babe. I want ice cream." - Stiles deadpanned.
Theo blinked a few times.
"Yeah yeah. I called you 'babe'. But that's just temporary. I want a different one for us. A unique term for us."
"... Us?" -Theo smiling like crazy. Ear to ear.
"Yeah... I accept the claim, Theo... So, what's this claiming process?"
"How about I show you now?" -Theo looked lustful as he licked his lips.

ask game numbers if you please: 5, 7, 8, 21, 24, 29
5. favorite form of potato?
This is so hard because I love POTATOE.
But, if I have to choose: FRIED. French fries, hash browns, latkes, homefries, steak fries, potato chips, potato hash, those little coin-shaped potatoes that are basically sautéed
A close second are these marvelous little potato stacks that my mom makes at Christmas. Stack up the sliced potatoes (she uses a mandolin), brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and rosemary, and bake. They're so good!
Twice-baked potatoes can come along too but, much like baked potatoes, they're best as a platform for toppings.
(Fuck potatoes au gratin, though. I hate them.)
7. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium?
Colorful fish are fun, algae-eaters are neat, turtles are really cool. But for me, probably the skates and rays. I especially like the aquariums that let you touch their backs as they glide by. They're like the hawks of the ocean. I'd think about how they'd just glide along when I'd swim in the neighborhood pool.
I went to the Baltimore aquarium with some friends when we went to Otakon a good 10+ years ago (Christ, I'm old) and that aquarium had the most amazing tank area for the rays. They were just...everywhere! They had acres of water to glide around in and ways for visitors to just about stand in the midst of all their tanks, or over their tanks, or alongside the tanks. I mean, you could get a view from every angle as they went by. We got there during a feeding time too, as I recall. But, yeah, there they were, all different sizes, just gliding through the water, like strange angels. Or maybe like biblically accurate angels?
8. do you change into specific clothes for the house when you get home?
Oh my gosh yes! I didn't some years ago but I started changing into either loose shorts or leggings (depending on weather) when I got home. I think it's mostly because I get tired of wearing real pants or jeans. Jeans will sometimes bother me to a weird degree, especially if I feel them behind my knees too much. I blame the ADHD/sensory stuff.
21. a number that weirds you out?
Ugh, probably one of those numbers that looks prime but is actually divisible by something.
I will say that 10am and 10pm never seem quite real to me. I don't know why. It just struck me as a kid in maybe 3rd or 4th grade that 10am didn't seem like a "real" time. It wasn't really morning and it wasn't really noontime. And 10pm didn't exist because I was asleep by then, unless it was a weird situation. I still feel like the 9s are valid and the 11s are valid, but 10 is this weird twilight zone whether AM or PM.
24. which do you find yourself using, american or british english?
'Murican, I'm afraid. Well, Southern US American, which is a unique dialect with a similar vowel triangle to British English, which is kind of cool. But, yeah, no: American English.
My brother has been living in the UK for a few years now and he sort of flips back and forth in spelling. His pronunciation is still definitely USAmerican but he sometimes has this British intonation to his speaking, especially in questions.
29. preferred pasta noodle?
Okay, cheese tortellini, definitely. Those are The Best according to me. But if filled pasta isn't allowed...
Giant shells are fun because, yeah, giant edible shell! And my mom would make (a probably non-Italian) manicotti in them sometimes which I love. Big ol' rigatoni are nicknamed "sewer pipes" in our family (long story) so they're a favorite because of the story. Creste di Gallo is kind of rare but is a neat shape (cascatelli is similar and also fun). There was a brand of pasta that made tiny, tiny stars and tiny, tiny letters that I ate as a kid that had a nice mouthfeel. Fettuccine can sometimes get extra al dente if two noodles stick together, and that's fun to bite on. Campanelle, cavatappi, farfalle, lanterne, radiatori, rotelle... All fun.
I like pasta with "weird" shapes--like extra twists or ripples or ruffles. Like, plain penne or elbows are fine, but I'm looking at the list of pasta on Wikipedia and I really want to try fiori and festoni now.
Weirdly specific and unrelated asks...
