To conclude, I really from the bottom of my heart enjoyed watching this episode. I was struggling health wise last week and this epsiode gave me the energy I needed. I also feel I was more relieved by the fact that Jiminie didn't feel sick anymore and wasn't hurt in any way. I was so happy to see vminkook giggling.🤍 And jikook being so happy in each other's presence. Their moments, the little things they do for each other, I see them🤍 I know there are so many theories and asks about so many moments not only in this episode. • it's still sweet though.

• he's gotten used to you trying to sneak away and out of bed after you two have fallen asleep so he pretends to fall asleep and when he feels you getting up, he wraps his arms tightly around you and spoons you, so you can't leave.

• he once walked in on you about to burn yourself with a cigarette and he didn't leave your side for the rest of the day. and he took away your cigarettes and got you nicotine patches 😒

• bill loves taking bathes with you. you're too lazy to stand so you just sit down between his legs and he washes your hair for you and your body. plus he gets to lay around with a naked woman soo

• bill tries his best not to get angry with you when you do something that would usually get him angry because he knows you're just trying to get a rise out of him to get attention

• when you're yelling at him, he just sits there and let's you yell at him until he finally gets up and just pulls you into a hug.

• kisses and traces your tattoos when you two are relaxing together.

• on the nights where he actually falls asleep and you end up leaving he wakes up all alone. he tries calling you and texting you but there's no answer and he gets really worried.

• that is until you show up a couple days later with your hair and makeup a mess. you were obviously out partying.

• whenever you isolate yourself away from people, even your family and your closest friends. he comes to your room and tries to talk to you. if he decides it's best to let you be alone, he'll leave but still check on you every now and then.

• if he decides it's better to stay with you to make sure you're okay, he'll just lay with you. no talking, no nothing. just holding you in his arms.

• when you go gambling and then come running to him because you lost money, he gets you the money. he doesn't want anything bad to happen to you, so he makes sure he can do whatever it is for you to be okay.

• whenever bill brings up family stuff, you just shut down. you don't want to talk about it and the more bill pushes you the more your anger boils until it all spills out.

• even though you push him away, once he actually leaves for too long, he's gotten used to you calling him. he can hear your sobs through the call asking him to come back and that you're sorry for everything and you just want him back. and he always comes back.

• one night, bill saw you at a club, dancing with some other guy. intimate dancing. he started crying and just went back to his hotel room. after a little while he heard you open the door and come in. now 2 things could happen.

• either you come in sobbing about how you danced with another guy and you didn't mean it even though you loved him so much.

• or you'd just stumble in and fall asleep next to him. not even an apology in the morning.

• you would slap or hit him away when he tried to wrap your wrists after you cut yourself but he'd end up just picking you up and you'd give in.

• never letting you drive after you got drunk because he doesn't want you to get hurt, ever.

Night & Day and breaking character's false beliefs

Hi, Hello *picks themselves off the floor* I finally think I'm sane enough to talk about Night & Day and what happened in episode 10 without going TOTALLY insane

The first thing I want talk about is a character false belief, which is a thing that character considers true in their point of view, one of Day's false belief is that Night care is not genuine and everything he does is to please his mom.

When it comes to the false belief, most times, it goes in one of two ways depending on the type of story: The character ends up encounters stuff that confirms that belief or oppose that belief until they have to rethink what they used to belief. Last Twilight goes with the latter route

The first thing that Night does is get Day a phone so he can communicate with Mhok (Also he other friends but it mostly so he can talk to Mhok whenever he wants to)

Latter we learn that Day's has a new number, which means that this is most likely a new phone so Night went out of his way to buy his younger brother a phone (the image of Night in a store buying a phone makes makes me cry like a newborn)

*BAM* The first real shake is done in Day's false belief because their mom is against Mhok & Day's relationship ergo if Night was only keeping a facade he wouldn't have given him any help and Day's realizes this!

The biggest one is right after Night's leaves the room and Day's overhears the conversation between K'Mon and when he hears the mom being awful, Day has the realization that Night continues to be the same in the eyes of the mom (maybe even worse now).

Day has to deal that the idea that he had of Night after the accident was wrong and how that would impact the whole "blaming Night for the accident" feelings. And in the next day, I assume

Day goes down to eat, something he didn't do ever since Mhok left, it clear that he doesn't know yet totally what his feelings.

One thing to keep in my mind, when it comes to P'Aof that I see a lot of, he uses one of my favorite metaphors foods = care. Especially here in Last Twilight. There's a reason that Mhok in learning to care for Day learns more about food and starts to become a chef. Also with the mom taking the time to make food (which is something that I will talk about in another post)

And why I am saying that? Well it's because of the next few minutes

So Day is still weakly holding on to his last believe until

Night gives his plate that he had just heat it up and it's such a unconsciously behavior that it can only be read in one way I CARE ABOUT YOU

Day's false belief is broken, however we still have Night who has his own false belief that his recklessness and mistakes led to him losing his good relationship with his brother.

So Day is shaken and tense, until he know he cannot take anymore and need to say something even if its own Day way

Okay, let me break down this while trying not cry:

Day is his own way is saying that his brother is deserving of good food, something that would taste good

Combine that with the food = care metaphor and you have the subtle I still care about you too (and a sobbing Max)

That admission shakes Night, also that's probably the first time that Day didn't came with aggression right away since the accident so he doesn't know what to do and the hurt the mom caused it probably still fresh.

*Bam* First crack in Night's belief but he play it off normally and Day's as well until the "I forgive you" which is something that even Day's is surprise that he said it

But when he stops and thinks he is come up with the fact that whatever anger was there before its gone and that it feel right to say those words and make sure that Night knows it

This is the big one when it comes to Night's false belief, the thing Night thought it could never happen, Day said with all letters that whatever blame Day's put onto Night, he forgave him

Like a domino effect when Night vocalizes how much that meant for him, we have Day settle in without his false belief

But in the same way that we had three actions to destroy the false belief of Day. we also had three for Night which comes when Day tells Night about their dad and starts to playfully banter with his brother

LOOK AT THOSE EYES. This is it, Night false belief is shaken because when Day jokes with Night, is his way of reaching out and tell Night that he does want to try and have a good relationship with him.

We also have a moment where Night is settle in without his false belief and at the same time his also letting go of his guilt

For the first time in a year (or maybe more) they are being brothers and having a laughter and helping each other destroy their false belief and REALIZE THAT THEY ALWAYS DID LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH

What Did You Eat Yesterday? 2 Eps 8 & 9 Stray Thoughts

I've been busy, so I never found time to sit and properly connect with this episode.

Last week, Shiro needed to get reading glasses, and he and Kenji celebrated their birthdays. It was lovely to see them accepting that they're getting older and finding enjoyment in it.

Episode 8

I'm with Tabuchi. I expected the breakup to come immediately.

Oh boy, Shiro is also in a divorce plotline again.

Wait, lol, how is Shiro supposed to make this woman's husband admit he fell for a scam to the tune of 10 million yen.

Yes, please give me the intro after so much hetero strife. Let me enjoy my committee gays.

I'm so embarrassed for this man.

Hiro really seems off guard about this divorce. I like the way Kenji is here to support him, but not his wrongs.

Of course Hiro is still going to Vietnam. Incredible.

"I don't hate him, but I can't forgive him," is so real, Reiko.

Man, I do not get the Japanese real estate market. Why demolish the whole house??

It's kinda sad, realizing that Shiro's parents know they're declining and want to spare Shiro the stress of moving them when they get sick.

Okay, I was not expecting the will discussion to include an inheritance for Kenji. I am touched, and also amused at the mom chiding Shiro for even suggesting he and Kenji might break up.

Oh wow Shiro is making chicken and rice.

Considering all Shiro does for his clients, I'm glad he got to be happy about this outcome.

Gosh, I love these two. I also love that the thing Shiro loves about Kenji is something so natural to Kenji that he doesn't even know what it is.

Episode 9

I'm actually kind of excited to see Kenji as a manager.

Oh, Kenji. I just knew the customers were gonna push him around.

This is like when Shiro was swamped at work and Kenji didn't get to eat with him. I am excited to see Shiro cope.

Ah, I'm not surprised Shiro agreed to more work. In a weird way, it lets him share a similar burden as Kenji.

Hey, Tabuchi got back with Chinami! He's sharing some culinary insights, and they seem to be okay! Look at me rooting for straights in my older gays show.

Okay, I'm losing it over Kenji acting like he got caught cheating because he's eating ramen.

Man, these two miss each other in a way that feels so right. I feel for Shiro trying to put on a brave front for Kenji.

Yes, Shiro, all of your relationship problems can be solved with comfort food. You picked the perfect partner.

I'm not as good as Shiro at making all of these side dishes every day.

Okay, Chinami being good at baking because she has to follow measurements exactly and thriving because of it is actually so heartwarming. Not me getting teary eyed over straights in my gay show!!

I actually love that Kenji stepping up is inspiring Shiro to do so as well.

Love these two ending the episode bickering about one yen.

I'm never letting myself fall behind on them ever again. I missed them so much for two weeks. I like that their lives aren't stagnant, and I can't wait to see Shiro meet Kenji's mom next week.

Episode 4 - It's been another exciting day!

«I'm so full!» - Daisy said displeased as she looked at the sweet potato she was holding, but could not eat since Mingyu had prepared a dinner not for 13, but for at least twice as many people. «Me too! We don't have to have guilt, though. We are here In The Soop, the diet will come later!» - Seungkwan continued, licking the tip of his chopsticks. «Exactly. Daisy eat that potato or I will!» - Scoups indeed did not want to stop eating all this delicious food, and Daisy, without being told twice, directly gave her dessert to the leader. «Do you want to work off the alcohol/digestion by playing? We can play ball games, there's even a volleyball net over there!» - Dino proposed, remembering that he had seen Seungkwan playing there during the afternoon. «Volleyball?» - «Volleyball!»

«Okay, let's split into two teams!» - Mingyu tied his hair in a pigtail, dragging Daisy by one arm to make her join them. But she was already feeling sleepy, and preferred to sit with Hoshi to count the points. Four hands are better than two, right?

«Joshua Team, are you ready?» - Hoshi shouted pointing to the team leader followed by Dino, Wonwoo, and Woozi. «Ready!» - They shouted back as well. «Mingyu Team, and you?» - This time shouted Daisy toward her right where there were Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dokyeom. Even from here it seemed obvious who would win.

«Game.... Start!» - The two referees started the game, which was interrupted already after 30 seconds when Woozi instead of hitting the ball, fell to the ground against the net. «Woozi are you okay?» - «Yes everything's okay! I was taking a knee!» [Making fun with a patented ceremony]. «Ooh got it, our team is fun» - Wonwoo wouldn't stop laughing, and they were only on the first serve.

« I have a proposal: Hoshi joins Joshua's team, they need help» - Daisy saw that, that team was doing nothing but suffering defeats, and would suffer just as many if there was no one else to help them. «Ughh Okay» -Hoshi snapped in the air removing the beanie from his head.

[Starts the game again].

«Ready? Hoshi can you serve?» - Joshua asked him now that he joined his team. «I watched hakyuu» [ Volleyball learned from an anime in real life ]

Daisy felt her fingers freezing from the night chill, but she couldn't get distracted or put it in her pocket, she had an obligation to keep score, and if she got it wrong she would be up against both teams. «Okay 3-1» - She kept her eyes wide open staring at the ball flying from one side to the other uninterruptedly.

«Wonwoo...how could you...» - Wonwoo looked like a sloth, despite shouting his name to make it clear that he would catch the ball, his legs were moving late when the ball was already on the ground. «Wonwoo is the star of today's game» - Daisy laughed at the funny situation as a spectator.

«Okay serve!» - DK threw the ball and Hoshi managed to catch it in time, passing it to his teammate, Woozi, who knocked it out of his hands. «Hey!» - «Do you remember being on the same team?» - Joshua was keeping up the shouting, slapping his forehead, realizing that he had already lost or at any rate, that he could only rely on himself. [same team but strategy is a secret]

[1:6] «Guys it's match point be careful» - Daisy didn't even have time to say that Dokyeom, pulling first, scored a point, leading Mingyu's team to victory. And as they already expected, the winners began to huddle together jumping in a hug and teasing the losing team, still imitating Woozi's fall at the beginning of the game.

11:00 pm

The volleyball team seemed to have regained energy playing ball, energy to stay awake. A little less was the energy to move so much. So they decided to get ready for the sauna they had already been eyeing on the first day. «Wonwoo why did you say that we were coming here in the groupchat? We'll never all fit in here» - Daisy felt suffocated not only by the hot air being given off and the small space of the sauna, but especially because Wonwoo, sending a picture of the sauna on Kakaotalk, made 4 other people join them. They looked like canned sardines.

«If you want we can go to the truck outside? They've set up a booth for us to take pictures» -Dino felt sweat drips all over his forehead, and although he was relaxing like never before, he felt the longing to breathe in the fresh air and night breeze.

«I'm in! Thanks guys for the fun! It was a beautiful day again today! Love you!» - Daisy quickly removed the towel she kept on her hair and hurried to open the door to leave, sending flying kisses to her members. «Good night!»

The Trainee ep 9 initial reaction

Well I enjoyed the few offgun scenes and I liked Pah finally having the accounting scene wrapped up. I’m not gonna talk about the Judy Bah-Mee scenes cause 😩 WHY DOES BAH MEE GET MORE SCREEN TIME THAN RYAN?! Okay okay let’s get to the photo review.

Well. I hated him APOLOGIZING TO THE GIRL WHO CONSTANTLY LOOKED DOWN ON HIM. He should fuck her ex boyfriend just for the thrill. Gah I hate the evil lesbian plot line. But I like Pah so watched his scenes. It wasn’t fair him having to apologize. If someone cheats or abuses or manipulate my friend they are dead and I don’t care what feelings they have. Bah Mee still is the secondary main character for some god forsaken reason. But what sympathy I’m supposed to feel for her is none.

That’s a real issue when you start working. I grew up in Mississippi which is a southern state that is very poor and loses in everything. So when I moved started my job I still struggle sometimes because I don’t have family money. I can’t change up my look. I can’t just go out to eat everyday or buy a new car. Feels like everyone can tell I’m a poor idiot. Of course that’s usually just in my head my work is still good. So I liked this conversation btw Pah and….. the president of the company.

I was very happy that Pah’s supervisors got slapped on the wrist for not teaching Pa. Whatever episode they introduced they introduced the invoices I went on a rant about how important this is. Also side note about Pah’s shoes… I’m pretty sure he’d have to wear closed toed shoes not because of the look but for safety. Can’t have an employee get injured on the job and he’s with the art department they paint and make stuff. He could get hurt. Just my workplace experience so grain of salt. We do have delivery and lab guys who dress super causal but closed toed shoes are actually important and enforced.

I think he has lied to Ryan? When he gets upset and anxious he says some lies like why doesn’t Ryan leave and Ryan doesn’t work hard. He definitely lied to him about things he needed Ryan to do when Jane was jealous of Ryan’s friend.

Awwwwwwww Off doesn’t like to hug people but if it’s Gun it’s okay 🥹💚💚💚 okay back to Jane and Ryan it was terribly cute when Jane asked Ryan if he looked like someone who had feels then when Ryan shook his head he stood up and hugged him. the 911verse has this tendency to fit as much drama into the last little bits of something and may i just say i’m tired of it,,, these storylines need to be fleshed out and given the time and attention they deserve. why make the season premiere last three episodes and cram everything with amir into the 7th and 8th? it makes no sense, because while we still got bobby lore, it seems so rushed, like the showrunners are afraid they’re losing our attention so they snap their fingers in front of us to get us to eat it up. this whole eddie thing should have been resolved last week, and springing the henren thing on us immediately? For something most of us have forgotten about? save that until you wrap something up! otherwise it becomes a big jumbled mess of angst with no redeeming qualities. characters can have separate arcs by themselves. having bad things happen 24/7 to everyone is what this show runs on, but all of it happening within the last 10 minutes of the episode? you put so much time into the set up that the execution doesn’t have time to see itself through.

oh but that’s what the season finale is for!

narratively, and just hear me out for a second, we don’t need four plots to be resolved in one season finale.

not to mention, lone star’s s4 finale dropped a huge bomb IN THE MIDDLE OF IT that left more mess to clean up, and it wasn’t even cleaned that well!!

please, if anyone in the writers rooms are seeing this, i know the network is money hungry and wants drama, but just try to set up these bombshells a little earlier, layered, please, i’m begging.

The Buffy Re-watch: S1E12 (part 1)

The last episode of season 1. I ended up writing 9 pages (A5 Pages, I don't like writing on A4, A5 is just easier to hold and rest on my lap as I write), so this might be another 3 parter. Here goes:

First thing I noticed was that the sign for the Bronze changed after the last episode still had the fumigation sign on it.

Xander practicing asking Buffy out and using Willow is his practice person. Oh boy.

Buffy is off fighting, and she lands on her back/butt, then she pulls out a stake from the back of her waistband. How did she not get stabbed by it when she fell?

Giles really does put in some serious overtime as a Watcher. The man needs more of a life. But I get the importance of why he's putting in the extra the time.

Earthquake. According to The Master, a possible 5.1. Can someone explain to me how earthquakes are measured? We don't get them here in the UK, except for that one time in 2008? where we had a small one. I slept through it though.

Giles looks like shit, after finding out some very troubling news. As we saw in Episode 10, Giles' biggest fear is losing Buffy so her will try to do anything he can to prevent that from happening. He definitely has a father's love for her by this point.

Okay, here we go, Xander is asking out Buffy. He was direct and to the point, that's good, get's the message across.

THEN HERE IS WHERE HE RUINS!!! Buffy turns him down because she sees him as just a friend only. Her friendship is more important, more valuable than the possibility of starting an ill-fated with him that could ruin their friendship. He likes her ad asking her out was brave, don't have a problem with that. The problem is how he reacts to it. Buffy doesn't feel that same so it wouldn't make sense for her to say yes, that would be leading him on and would be wrong. She also has feelings for Angel and would cause problems there. Turning Xander down was the right thing to do in this situation. However, Xander's snipe 'I guess a guy's gotta be dead undead to make time with you?' was fucking uncalled for and cruel. You can't help who you fall for, but you do not get to punish someone because it's not you. When faced with rejection you accept what the person has said and move on. You don't ever act like an entitled asshole because they said no. And while Xander may have apologised for his little comment after Buffy rightfully calls him out for it, he doesn't mean it. He hates Angel and takes any opportunity to disparage him in front of whoever will listen. He says sorry to placate Buffy, but he doesn't actually regret saying it because he believes what he said. Rejection fucking sucks. Whether it's by friends, partners, jobs or university, it hurts. But it happens. It's a part of life and you need to get used to it, because if you always take it so hard and personally it will eat away at you and leave you bitter and angry at the world. If left like this your mental will be in tatters. Learn to accept rejection and move on. In Xander's case, he can either accept that Buffy's friendship is enough for him, or he can walk away if he can't accept it. To quote Billy Butcher from 'The Boys' (I love this show) 'Don't be a cunt.'

I'm going to leave it there for this part. I will have more to say about Xander in the next part, but it will mostly centre on Buffy. Part 2 tomorrow.

I need to write this because I need to get it out of my system and idk maybe after this ill stop lurking and start posting crap

this is a very rough draft of how i would re write the first ep of nexo knights prometed by @spicyicymeloncat s post talking about creating said re write. this is not a fully fleshed out story or even a good draft, it is simply me putting my ideas into text format. sorry in adanvance to anyone thinking this might be full fic or something of value, its just the keyboard smash of my thoughts.

So heres my shitty rendition of the first episode Okay first episode starts off following the main 5 including jestro in their 7th year at the academy (in this version there are 10 years of classes, and the first years are 10 yr olds) in the middle of a tournament battle. They end up losing cause jestro tripped or something and then Lance starts complaining about how this is their 3rd lost in a row and that jestro needs to start improving (in my mind he only really participates in the tournaments because his parents force him to, but it hurts his pride to lose). Clay of course starts defending jestro saying that he just needs more time to improve while jestro kinda just stands in the back looking embarrassed. Clay talks about how they have to better learn how to work as a team or something dumb like that and lance being the little bitch he is takes this personally. However, macy calms them both down before the situation escalates. then bells rings as lance and aarron are the first to leave and while axl follows them he gives jestro a pat on the back saying he did good and not to worry about it (I want axl to be more than just the one that eats a lot so hes very kind in my mind au). clay, macy, and jestro leave soon after and walk to some kind of ap class. On the way clay tries to comfort jestro after their loss (I want their friendship to be expaned upon more [it wont happen in the first episode, in my mind its mainly done by flashbacks. Think like zukos childhood is only talked about briefly or partly shown in flashbacks]) macy only butting in to mention that lance was being rude (macy for the most part is going to be similar to her show counterpart but im going to try to make her more mature because shes a bit whiny in the show imo). Once they make it class clay and macy say their goodbyes because jestro didn’t get the grades to make it into any type of ap classes so he kinda just roams the halls (the teachers don’t really like him, so they never took the time to properly fix his schedule). After a while he makes it to merloks library and merlok asks if he wants to practice some magic since he knows jestro doesn’t have classes. Jestro agrees and he start practicing a levitation spell on some pens with a wand merlok gave him. he struggles to control the pen, it either staying on the desk or flies up hirer then what he intended. Merlok doesn’t get mad though (mentor figure OoO more likely than you think) and just say that he should take a break and ask him about how his time as the royal jester is going. They talk for a bit before merlok has to leave to get something, but he says that he’ll be back. Jestro is just sitting there when he hears something (ya know who it is it’s your favorite necromancer) telling him to move closer to the book that is clearly sealed away before a magical barrier at the back of the room.

As soon as jestro gets to book, monstrox does the classic acting like hes not alive then going ‘boo’. This of course scares the crap out of jestro because imagen you start hearing a voice, thinking your going crazy, then this book behind a barrier fucking jumps scares you. Monstrox starts calming jestro saying some bs that hes one of merloks old friends before he and merlok got into a big fight and he cursed him to be a book filled with the worst kind of monsters for the rest of eternity. Jestro of course after hearing this is scared of monstrox (or the BOM or whatever you wanna call this man, book?) but mr necromancer over here starts telling his super sad 100% real backstory about how he was a screw up just like jestro and when he finally got good at something, that something being magic, he was shunned by the other wizards for not doing it the ‘right way’ (no it was because you were killing people ya crusty old textbook). Jestro despite sympathizing with him is still hesitant to listen to him so monstrox tells him that he can release him whenever he wants and that he’ll help him become respect and loved by his peer by taking over the kingdom. Monstrox then goes to ‘sleep’ as soon as merlok returns, jestro doesn’t say anything because a part of him is seriously considering siding with the BOM so he continues with his lessons with merlok. Do a montoage of the next couple of days of lance and some other students giving jestro shit until one day after lance was extra rude jestro is like ‘fine im going back to that crusty musty textbook and turning to the dark side’. Jestro, after merlok had finished his teaching and left the libary, manages to get monstrox out of his prison and into a bag (he also steals a staff idk how to incorporate that into this terrible story so far). On his way he ends up running into some 9th years that stars bullying him, this gets rid of his doubts that maybe he shouldn’t do this, and that he should just give people a second chance to learn the error of their ways and gives them some vague ass threat. Monstrox, who can hear everything, does that ‘oh ho ho now these mf are just re-enforing all the toxic ideas I placed in this boy’s head’ smirk and stays quiet for the rest of the walk.

Cue transition to an empty classroom as jestro takes out monstrox and places him on a desk, monstrox asks if hes ready to do this. Jestro gives a very ‘omg this moment is so emotional’ yes. While this is happening merlok returns to his library because his old ass forgot his pen or smt and realizes jestro (who usually stays in there until his next class starts) isn’t there and theres noting in the barrier prison thing monstrox was in. he of course goes running down the halls trying to find both of them, but before he can get far he gets stuck in a crowd of students as the bell rings. In the middle of the crowd theres clay and macy looking for jestro clay saying its odd that he wasn’t outside their classroom waiting for them like he usually is while Aaron, lance, and axl are just trying to get to their next class. Clay and macy run into merlok and ask him if hes jestro and merlok not wanting to say that ‘oh yeah know just looking for the wizard serial killer that has actually been alive for the last 100 years in my library that just so happen magically escaped’ just says that hes also looking for jestro and the form a small group while looking for jestro. on their way they pass aaron, axl, and lance looking confused af to why merlok is running like a track star followed by a confused clay and macy. Aaron looking for an excuse to skip class also follows them which prompts axl and lance to go off running trying to follow him.

Now theres a very scared and worried 300 something year old wizard being followed by five teenagers running down the halls of the one of the most prestige’s schools in the kingdom looking for a jester, and in merloks case a necromancer. Meanwhile jestro is opening up monstrox to the first page after the table of context and trying to figure out what hes supposed to do. Monstrox is like ‘have you never summoned the dead? Dam this is going to be more work than I thought’ and just tells him to read aloud the text at the top of the page and to wave his staff around. As soon as jestro reads out the ancient text with all the confidence of a mouse stuck in a piece of Rigatoni, the bookkeeper and either burny or sparks (it doesn’t matter which just one of them big guys) appears in front of him and causes jestro to scream in fear (the bookkeeper is harmless ik but he doesn’t know that). As soon as jestro realizes ‘oh taking over the kingdom mean pulling out monsters that could possibly kill every student in this school’ clay, macy and the gang (merlok is looking in a different classroom rn) burst in. Clay and macy thinking jestro is in danger immediately try attacking the monster but as you can imagen, they aren’t doing much damage, while lance runs out the room screaming for merlok to save them with his awesome wizard powers (aaron and axl also join the fight). Cue fight scene, jestro being like ‘oh no don’t hurt them they’re my friends’ and ‘I didn’t mean for this to happen’, the BOM being like ‘they aren’t your friends, they never did anything to help you’, blah blah.

Then right about when the monster is going to give the final blow to clay, lance comes rushing in with merlok and merlok does some wizard spell think sending a beam of gold flying out from his staff hitting everyone in that room and sending jestro and the BOM flying out of the window (this is the part when the main 5 get infused with some plot magic, hence why theyre the only who can use the nexo powers, shoutout to @spicyicymeloncat for mentioning this idea. They’re the ones that came up with most of the original ideas like the knights still being in school, them being hit with the magic rays, jestro being merloks appretince, and so many more cool headcaons that you need to check out like pls they’re amazing). Okay the screen goes black for a sec and then boom macy is the first to come out of the rubble (hc: her parents had fancy pants train her for any possible terrorist attacks, revolutions, or crimes against the crown) and immediately starts looking for clay. Hes mostly fine and the others start waking up as well but then clay starts looking for merlok and picking up pieces of rubble. Then after moving a very large piece of celling, he finds merlok laying there dead. 0o0 *gasp* this will totally not be fixed by the next episode and episode one ends there

but this is just a very rough outline of how i would make the first ep, chapter, or part go and thats it, noting of substance

realisticly if i were to rewirte the whole story (which i might do in the same half-meme-half-writing style that this post was made in) i would make jestros turn to the darkside much longer, probaly taking in universe around half a year. that would also give me more time to expand upone each of the main 5 personalties and their reasons for becoming a knight. like just imagen instead of it being just a few seconds like described in the text, it would be months of jestros ecperince at the academy and finally taking up the BOM on his sugestion, not fully undertsanding the impact his actions could have on the kingdom until he gets his army of monsters.

again i wrote this because i wanted to get these ideas out of my mind and onto a word document and im sorry to this starved fandom that i wasn't able to provide a full story or even chapater of a show i know dam well could have been much more than just a ploy to sell legos.

again most of the actually good ideas come from @spicyicymeloncat and their post talking about a nexo knights re write. Duty After School Review (Spoilers)

So after the final episodes of Duty After School got added on Viki, I of course watched it and I have mixed feelings on it.

If you aren't aware of this show, Duty After School is a kdrama based on a webtoon where essentially there's an alien invasion and high school seniors in Korea are drafted into the military to help fight the threat. With a twist though, the Korean government entices the teenagers to want to go through this military training by 1) not telling the kids about the threat, and 2) if they complete the military training and help fight the threat, they will receive bonus points on their college SATs. Spoilers ahead.

First couple of episodes were really difficult to get through, not gonna lie, I was rooting for the kids to die at some point, as horrible as that sounds. And I know, they're teenagers, they're immature, so I shouldn't have gone in expecting too much from them at this stage. BUT with that said, speaking as someone who did join the military at 18, roughly the same age as these kids are now, I can attest that this is not how we 18 year olds behaved when I received my military training. BUT also I volunteered to join the military while these kids are being drafted, lied to, and manipulated by their government so yeah, I also do understand where these kids are coming from and I can empathize with them. Doesn't mean they weren't annoying AF though.

But it gets better in further episodes when they're being confronted with this alien threat. And from there, it actually becomes a really interesting story of war trauma and how that trauma and PTSD manifests and affects different people and how they cope and continue to push on despite the trauma and fear they're all suffering from.

Things I really enjoyed from this show is watching these kids become a cohesive unit, working together to fight these aliens and in one episode using the aliens they're fighting as a means to fight dangerous criminals who were holding one of their own as a hostage. Although, I would be remiss if I didn't attach at trigger warning for that episode. Episode 8 definitely needs to come with a trigger warning for mentions of SA and attempted SA. Those parts of the episode are kind of difficult to watch and they're supposed to be I feel but definitely if any of you are thinking of watching this show, I just want to warn you there's that and for you to prepare yourself. I was not prepared for it and it made me VERY uncomfortable (but again, its supposed to). But after this episode and it gets more into the drama of 9 and 10, the story really kind of loses its footing and kind of devolves more from a story of fighting aliens and turning more into commentary for school shootings (and also trigger warning for this as well). Which was a weird turn for it to take, but not completely unexpected. I did see it coming and I understand what the story was going for. After the government continuously is lying and manipulating these kids, some of these kids who are now left with nothing, viewing themselves as disposable and possibly not going to survive, it makes sense that they would maybe lose them selves in this narrative of feeling abandoned and hopeless. It roots itself into the folly of being in a society where college entry exams and the competitiveness of getting into your first choice university can be damaging to a teenager's psyche and sense of self-worth. So its like I don't mind that the story went there, I just found the alien invasion aspect of the story kind of took a backseat to this, and honestly, I wanted to know more about the aliens, what their end game is, what exactly they're doing. I mean, they're attacking humans and eating them, sure okay, we're a food source to them, cool. But also, for creatures that apparently want to eat us, they're pretty bad in their technique of eating us to be pretty frank. Just bodies strewn all of the place, completely bleeding out, its like, yo aliens, you missed several spots on that corpse. But yeah, once the show starts going more into this Full Metal Jacket/school shooting narrative, the alien invasion kind of takes a backseat to that. They make a comment at the very end that two months after, the government miraculously came up with a weapon that killed 99% of the aliens and then just like that the war was over. So while I don't mind how the show ended and what narrative they were pushing, I kind of would've liked to see the kids continue working together to fight this alien threat and even help be the solution in ending the invasion. All in all, I would give this show a B-. It has some great character stuff and I enjoy the middle of the show immensely. Plus if you're into it, great special effects and lots of blood and gore and various ways gory ways the aliens kill the humans. i appreciate the story it was telling about wartime trauma and the ridiculous amount of pressure society pushes on teenagers to go to competitive universities. But also, I kind of wanted more of an alien invasion story too and the show kind of loses that about 3/4 of the way in.

After queueing some posts where Kakashi has some weird persona/disguise, I looked up the episode where this was introduced (I skipped most fillers and haven't started Boruto yet) and uhh here's my reaction:

Sukea's make-up reminds me of Rin and that hurts

Kakashi making up a whole persona to mess with his students is so so funny.

Not only that, pretending like "A photo of this jonin without mask is the biggest scoop since the establishment of Konoha" is such a fun thing to say if you're that jonin in disguise

Imagine: "So what did you do today, Kakashi?" - "Ah, not much, made up a fake identity to trick my students and then helped them break into a top secret facility. You know, for fun."

I bet there's more going on though. Kakashi is too lazy to go through all that without good reason.

Oh man Konoha's filing system must really suck if they have to actually take out multiple boxes and look at the envelopes inside.

If I didn't know who Sukea was really I would be SO suspicious of him. Ex Anbu turned photographer? Okay sure. Just overheard some tweens and decides to talk them into breaking into a top secret government facility? Yeah no

Why doesn't Kakashi have the sharingan in the registration photo? Also how can Sukea-Kakashi keep the sharingan open/uncovered so long without tiring himself out? Is it due to the contacts?

Also, Sukea pulling the photo out the envelope reeeeeal slow intentionally, because _you know_ Kakashi is good enough to know the Anbu are coming and times it perfectly.

Sukea's next idea is to help the kids take a photo of Kakashi without mask - okay this might really just be Kakashi having a fun time messing with his students.

Lmao I wouldn't put it past Sukea-Kakashi and Kagebunshin-Kakashi to intentionally time the eating / taking photos so that every single shot would conveniently have the mouth covered.

Omg are the other kids gonna help too? Amazing. This is a great episode.
