I had a nice cry this morning over Elvis (of course, the only man I’d be crying over lmfao) he was just heavy on my mind. But it wasn’t necessarily a sad cry. It was probably a little bit of a both a sad and happy cry. Sad because I miss him, we miss him. We miss someone we never even knew or even got the opportunity to see. But the cry was also happy because he’s so loved all these years later and we all show just how much we love him. Doesn’t matter if you go to Elvis week every year, or if you never go, whether you go to Memphis or not. If you collect merch or not, travel to visit places he’s been whatever.

You love Elvis, you support Elvis and care about him. That’s what matters. Because no matter what you do, he knows just how much every single one of us loves him and misses him. We have our own ways of celebrating him, loving him, etc. He’s so loved 47 years later and I bet he feels it. To think he thought he would be forgotten, so I know he’s probably amazed that no one has ever forgotten him since the day he died. We never will. We will forever carry on his legacy. 🤍
