VOCALOID Rock/Metal x Wilde Life (Is This Even a Thing?)

…So I made a playlist for and inspired by Pascalle Lepas' character, Oscar Wilde, from her comic, "Wilde Life." And I also love VOCALOID, so I decided to combine those two things.

This was the result. Behold, 'The Recollection of Oscar David Wilde, Deviations One (VOCALOID)'

Initially tried to post it in the comment section, but I tried to change a GIF, and long story short, that comment's currently pending.

I still want to share it though.

The playlist includes rock, metal, post-hardcore, alternative metal, metalcore, and ballads. (EDIT: Below is a copy-and-paste from the original post) The VOCALOID producers featured in the playlist are: Okame-P, Yuyoyuppe, Shoten Taro (書店太郎), wasi (of Takamachi Walk), LEVEREVE, and Kanata Lab (Kanata Labo). Sonically and instrumentally, the playlist starts off light but gets much darker as it progresses. The lyrics are still dark and depressing (only applies to Okame-P's songs), though. The title track of 'The memory echoes softly' is the only track that's mostly in English.

Ria is an original character inspired mostly by asian popular culture origins: games/anime/music (e.g., FGO, Honkai Impact 3rd, Madoka Magica, OkameP's songs) and world mythology/philosophy/history, as well as classical literature/music/paintings (e.g., characters like the Count of Monte Cristo and Irene Adler in particular) As for Marvel lore, I was hugely expired by Matt's story and Illyana Rasputina's story Overall, the most charming ideas I personally find in Ria are:

Healing through art that captures the beauty of the world around us.

A human's yearning to find warmth, a sense of home, and connection with others.

The duality within humans—their ability to embody kindness and tenderness while making harsh (and even cruel) decisions for a greater purpose.

Hardbass wasn't something I was expecting from a DECO track but it works, as it usually does when he blends influences from other genres. Probably my fave of his recent releases.

Uplifting electronic rock song from what I think is an underrated producer. Their MVs are usually a nice watch, and this MV by Makino Sena is too if you can get through the flashing lights in the middle/end portion.

Speaking of underrated producers, here's another one! Their stuff is always high quality and this one is too. Chill and cheery pop with a cute MV especially for the mikurin fans.

Lemm - Platform 5 (ft. Hanakuma Chifuyu)

It's almost a year old but I just listened to it and think it's great. Maybe even the best thing I listened to this week. I'm always fond of their atmosphere, especially over a longer track like this that goes through multiple moods. Especially love the way some of the melancholic orchestral segment segue to more dynamic DnB sections. Chifuyu is a great vb to compliment their style.
