F! Yuu’s Dad in Twisted Wonderland pt. 3
Pt.4
Books 3, 4, &5 were when your dad was stressing.
🦀: Why do Ace and Deuce have sea mushroom thingies on their heads? They-They made a deal with a boy so they can cheat their midterms, but everyone else but you cheated as well so they’re stuck in a contract of servitude? Yeah no, don’t get involved in their foolishness-oh, damn it! The cat has a sea mushroom too! Well, I guess we’ll find a way to fix it.
When all the shenanigans happen and Leona eventually turns Azul’s contracts into sand and he overblots, your dad is there to witness it.
🦀:Already five in the evening and the boy ain’t right.
He watches you and your friends beat Azul out of his overblot and watches the aftermath.
Safe to say, your father makes you stay away from Azul, Jade, and Floyd.
🦀: Hold on, where are you going and why do you have a basket?
🦐: I’m going mushroom picking with Jade.
🦀: Is Jade that one that always looks high and acts erratic?
🦐: No, that’s his twin brother, Floyd.
🦀: Either way, don’t go with him. He probably does shrooms.
Which leads you to Book 4
Your father does not like Kalim.
🦀: Hey! Hey! Hands off! You are way too touchy with my daughter!
☀️: But she’s my best friend!
🦀: You just met her five minutes ago.
🐍: Kalim, don’t go around hug tackling people you just met.
🦀: You keep him in check. I like that.
Your father becomes the “I like that” lady from the Simpsons.
🦀: “You run a tight ship. I like that.” “You keep the boys in check. I like that.” “You got some intelligence in you. I like that.”
Eventually Jamil overblots, and Jamil doesn’t even bother hypnotizing your father. He respects him that much. Which extends to Yuu.
🐍: So, what’s your world like?
You sneak away into the desert to find your friends. Your dad is at Scarabia small talking with Jamil.
Jamil will forever have an ego boost that your father respects him more than Kalim.
Afterwards, when the VDC start to loom over NRC, he’s not opposed to you joining(it’s his chance to get video of you dancing and singing).
That is until he finds out the team is staying in Ramshackle during the training period.
🦀: No! Absolutely not! You’re not having 7 boys living in this dorm with you! Especially that Kalim and Ace boy!
🦐: Dad! If we win we could use the money to renovate Ramshackle!
🦀:…..fine. But they’re staying downstairs.
Your father catches a glimpse of Rook’s photobook. He legit tries calling the police.
Boy shenanigans ensue
❤️: Man I’m beat from practice.
🦐:So am I. I’m taking a nap. Wanna join me?
And for once, Ace actually gets to sleep next to you in a bed. Then it gets ruined by everyone else but Vil joining in. It turned into a group nap on the bed.
Your father finds out and he’s not pleased.
🦀: GET OUT! And Yuu, we’re having a review of the puberty talk when it comes to boys.
When the VDC’s happen, he gets a recording of Yuu dancing and singing. Unfortunately that was ruined after the revelation that Vil tried to murder Neige.
🦀: Yuu, we’ve gotta kick these people out! One of them tried to kill someone. These boys are not right!
🦐: Dad! It’s all good! He’s back to normal now and we won the competition which means Ramshackle can be renovated!
🦀: I worry about you. I really do. I never should have let you read Having Adeline.
🦐: *gasp* They are perfectly good friends!
🦀: Oh, really? Riddle has anger issues, Cater is just Cater, Trey probably has a fetish for teeth, Deuce is too pugnacious, and Ace keeps trying to sneak into bed with you.
🦐: But-
🦀: Leona is a grown man who needs to get his life and inferiority complex together, Jack is…actually he’s ok. Ruggie’s such a con artist he would takeover Atlanta. Vil’s vain and murderous, Rook is a French stalker, Epel has masculinity issues. Ortho is a robot boy who’s too complicit in his brother’s shenanigans and Idia is an otaku creep who looks like he constantly needs a bath or else he’ll look like a zombie.
🦐: But-
🦀: Kalim’s too hands on with you, too oblivious to his surroundings, and has no boundaries, Jamil’s ok, something seems off with Lilia, Sebek is going to make you go deaf, Malleus is a creep and under no circumstances should you engage with him, and Silver is alright.
🦐: Why didn’t you mention Octavinelle?
🦀: Did I need to say anything about them to make them look bad?
🦐: No….no you did not.

Ok but Y/N gentle parenting her boyfriend Lip in the most loving way.
Y/N: Lip Darling I know your feeling really angry right now and your feelings are totally valid but we can’t yell at people. So let’s try to think of ways we can express are anger without shouting.
stop this is so silly and sweet i love it!! this was healing for me to write cause ive been so stressed with school
he’s so frustrated, midterms and work and south side shit all tumbling around in his brain and making him crazy. you can feel the tension in the air as he lights a cigarette and cracks the window open. you move to stand by his side, wrapping one soft curl around your finger. but he jerks his head away with a scowl.
“please. fuckin’- don’t. heads pounding.” he says firmly, then asks. “when’s- uh. when’s your class again?”
you shake your head, taking the cig from between his lips. “cancelled. professor’s kid has the flu. i was thinkin’ about staying for a while, yeah?”
he huffs angrily. “jesus! don’t you ever go home? always in my fuckin’ room-“
you cut him off with gentle words. “hey, hey! lip.” he looks up at you, the anger on his face relaxing into remorse. “you’re stressed out, yeah?”
he nods, running a hand through his messy curls. he’s fidgety. you hand him back his cig.
“hm, and overworked?”
he huffs out a half laugh and replies, “yeah. yeah.”
you offer him a sweet smile. “there we go. see? you can tell me what you’re feeling without gettin’ all mean.”
lip sighs, finally reaching out to place one rough palm against your cheek. he thumbs over your smooth skin, taking you in for a moment. “yeah, you’re right. m’sorry baby.”
you cover his hand with your own and lean into his touch. you keep your voice sweet and understanding, soothing his frustrations and worries with your words. “if you want some alone time, you just gotta tell me.” you pause, watching his face, then add. “d’you want me to go? i don’t mind. promise.”
he thinks for a moment before stubbing his cig out and shaking his head. his nervous hands find a blunt and a lighter, pressing a sweet kiss to your cheek as he goes. “jus’ stay here, an’ smoke this with me?”
you perch yourself on his desk, pulling him in by his belt loops so he stands between your legs. “sounds like a plan to me,” you murmur, squeezing his hand where it rests on your thigh. “how ‘bout a nap after? we got a few more hours ‘til dinner, and i love you but… you look like hell,” you say with a soft laugh.
his lips quirk into a smile around the blunt as he nods. as he exhales, you can see him starting to relax further. “fuckin’ exhausted,” he grumbles, passing you the blunt and dropping his head to rest on your shoulder. “dunno what i’d do without you.”
“be a raging cunt to everyone.” you reply quickly, smirking at your own remark, and he laughs. it’s the first time you’ve heard him truly laugh all day.
“guess i deserved that one, huh.”

BLOOD IN YOUR MOUTH JASON TODD (college!au)
↳ the first time jason kisses you he's bloody and bruised, and you can't find him more attractive for it
cw: injury, blood, mentioned harassment (not of the reader)
blank blogs DNI you will be blocked
Tumblr media
The first time Jason kisses you, he’s bloody and standing underneath a streetlight outside the bar he’s just been kicked out of. You’re utterly enamoured.
It is a Saturday afternoon, and you’ve just submitted your last midterm when the text comes through. The outline of his name on your phone sends a thrill down your spine, and you can’t help the curl of excitement.
J-A-S-O-N.
You trace your eyes over the letters, the blank contact photo doing little to curb the butterflies. They’re no less stronger than when he’d asked you for your number, a warm afternoon after class when the both of you had found your way to the your usual table in the library. You recall the reason he’d used, recall the slant of his mouth as he’d talked, the clutch of his bag in his fingers, the way the light had bent through the window and caught the dust floating above the table. You recall suddenly warm palms, fingertips hot to the touch as you saved his number when the first message had come through.
>> come out tonight?
You frown.
While it’s true that since the beginning of the semester you’ve gotten to know Jason better and as a not entirely unpleasant consequence, been better about hiding away, you’re still tired from the back to back assignments you’ve had to turn in. You’d much rather turn in for the weekend.
And yet, when it comes to the handsome boy you’d met in your literature class last semester, you find it hard to say no. You want to hang out with him so badly sometimes it feels embarrassing. You wonder if it’s obvious how you both soak up his attention and shy away from it. Even months later, you find yourself bashful around him.
As if sensing your hesitation, another two messages come through almost immediately, in rapid succession.
>> it’ll be fun
>> dinner’s on me btw
You chew your lip, staring down at the message.
<< i'm kind of tired idk
<< where do you wanna go
The text bubble appears as you begin to pack your things, sweeping papers off your desk and into a neat pile, collecting cluttered pens and highlighters. The last week has turned your bedroom into something akin to a disaster site, clothes strewn everywhere and sheets rumpled. You bite back a groan at the thought of the cleaning you’ll have to do.
>> i know a place like ten minutes away from campus
>> drinks after?
<< presumptuous
<< i haven't even agreed
>> ok so agree !
>> it’ll be a good time
You huff out a laugh at his tone, typing out a response.
<< who else is going?
>> just you and me kid
>> be excited
>> i’ll drop you home if you wanna leave after dinner
In the bathroom now, tidying the mess of skin and hair products, you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. You tilt your head, and your reflection does too, as if to say, well? Will you?
You text him your response.
<< ok when should i meet you?
<< send me the address
Tumblr media
Jason is lingering outside the restaurant when you walk up, and you take a moment to admire him as you approach, hands in his pockets and shoulders slouched, relaxed. His hair looks wet, and orange light washes over him where he stands beneath an awning, a sky of darkening blue behind him. As if sensing your approach, he turns his head from where he’s been looking at something across the street and his eyes light up in recognition. Your name tumbles from his lips and he takes a step forward as you cross the distance.
“Hey,” he greets you, smiling down at you. “You made it.”
“I said I would, didn’t I?” you murmur. His lips stretch into a wider grin and you catch a glimpse of his canines, wolf sharp, a shiver curling down your spine at the sight.
“Guess you did. I’m glad. Come on,” he says, jerking his chin and reaching for the door, letting you enter first. “I think you’ll like this place.”
His shirt brushes against your back, and you swallowed by the sheer size of him, tall and broad shouldered, but it feels reassuring to have him there, especially as the hostess makes eye contact with you and he smoothly coordinates everything. His hand bumps against your elbow as she leads you both to a table and he murmurs out an apology at the same time you do, habitually, shooting you a funny look when he hears you, like he’s amused.
You’re seated across from him at a table so small his knees bump against yours beneath the table and he laughs a little when you say sorry once again. It isn’t the first time you’ve hung out with him, or the first time you’ve gotten food together–a semester has come and gone since your meeting him, and now the fall semester has started up again, but he has a way of short-circuiting your system, earnest and straightforward and far prettier than he has any right to be. You aren’t used to boys like him–though a voice in your head suggests that there isn’t anyone else like him.
You offer him a small smile when he laughs.
“Can’t believe they stuck us here,” he says to you, dropping his voice as a waiter passes your table. You look over to where a fair few tables far larger than yours remain unoccupied, and grimace in sympathy. “At least the food is good.”
You look up from the menu, sparing him a glance. He’s all rounded edges and sweeter looking in the soft light. You look back down.
“You’ve been here before?” you ask, feeling silly for the question but he nods.
“My brother took me, when I first moved out here,” he says, scratching idly at his cheek. Teal eyes skim the plastic menu. “We come here whenever he comes to visit.”
“Older brother?” you guess and he hums.
“Dick,” he says, and his eyes widen when you stare at him. “His name, I mean. That’s his name…Richard, but he goes by..yeah.”
“Oh,” you laugh, as your pulse flutters under your skin. “Bet he gets a lot of flack for that.”
“You have no idea,” he snorts, launching into a story that has you covering your mouth to stifle your laughter.
Somehow, dinner flies by faster than you think it would, a blur of stories from both your childhood and his. Jason asks questions and you don’t feel as though you’ve been put on the spot, pleasantly warm as you answer through your own laughter. The bubbles from your drink linger and pop on your tongue, and there’s a flush in your face that you blame wholly on him and his teal eyes, attentive and animated as he describes his family.
The both of you are pushing out of the door after an argument about splitting the bill (“I said I would pay, get lost!” and “I didn’t even agree to that!”) that had left you pouting and Jason smug. The rush of air that greets you is cool against your heated cheeks, and you smile to yourself as the both of you step out into the street.
“So?” Jason asks and you turn to him. “Was I right? It was good, huh?”
And he looks so pleased with himself that even if you hadn’t enjoyed a bit of it, you wouldn’t have it in you to tell  him.
“It was,” you agree and his smile grows broader.
You lapse in conversation for a moment, and a breeze ruffles his hair on its way through the lit street. It’s grown fairly busier as night falls, crowds of people out to enjoy their weekend, and you step closer to Jason as a particularly large group passes you, falling into step by his side to avoid bumping into them.
“So..home?” he asks, tentative.
“I think so.” You chew the bottom of your lip. “I got up early to get in the finishing touches on my midterm.”
His eyes go soft, almost immeasurably fond, as he gazes down at you. “Of course you did. Alright, c’mon, then. Let’s get you home.”
He takes your hand gently, fingers circling your wrist loosely and guiding you down the busy street. You find yourself appreciative of this, even as the butterflies erupt anew in your stomach at the touch, his body carving a path in the flow of foot traffic that you can fall into easily without worry of getting lost.
The both of you walk in silence, the sounds of the city filling in the gaps around you. You admire the outline of Jason’s profile in front of you, light from the cars and storefronts washing over the both of you and throwing him into sharp technicolour focus in front of you. You feel a little dizzy at the sight of it, and looking down to where your hands join only worsens it, rendering you soft and pliant in his hold, tracing his footsteps with your own.
And then, all of a sudden, you’re coming to a halt in front of a parking lot next to a bar, nearly colliding with his back. You blink, equal parts sleepy and stunned, peering over his shoulder where he’s stiffened up.
“What?” you ask. He reaches into his pocket with his free hand, and turns around to pass you a set of keys. You frown, confused, following his finger when he points to an old, red car just a few feet away.
“That’s my car, I’m just gonna go check on something over there,” he says, tipping his head back to gesture to the bar. “Can you get it started for me? I won’t be long.”
“Is everything okay?” you ask, and now you’re the one holding his wrist as he turns, taking a half step after him. He looks back at you, and his mouth relaxes, offering you a reassuring nod.
“‘S fine, sweetheart,” he assures, pushing you gently in the direction of his car. “Be back in a sec.”
But curiosity roots you to the pavement where you stand, and you watch as he walks to the entrance of the bar, where murky yellow light spills out onto the walkway. Several bench tables have been pushed together on the outer side of the path, smaller tables with high stool chairs pressed against the exterior wall of the establishment. It’s fairly empty outside, all the patrons seeking shelter from the chilly weather inside and you step a little closer to see when Jason, shoulders set like a man on a mission, crosses the threshold and disappears into the building.
You creep a little closer, keys clutched in your fingers, until you can get a look through the windows. They’re a little stained, but you find Jason eventually, crowding close to a pool table where a boy around your age is leaning down, cue stick pointed against green felt. His back is to the window, but you watch the guy pause and straighten up, annoyance clear on his face even as he tries to cover it up with a smile you don’t think you like too much, self-assured and a little mean. There isn’t any friendliness in it.
Outside, the wind begins to pick up and you’re wondering whether you should just return to the car–every bad thing in the movies happens because people can’t mind their own business–when suddenly, so fast you almost miss it, his fist flies out and knocks right into Jason. You jump in surprise, a hand flying to your mouth to muffle the startled yell that slips out.
But Jason is seemingly unphased, and you catch a glimpse of blood in his mouth as he– smiles. It’s nothing like the smiles you’ve ever seen, wild and a little feral as he lunges forward, knuckles slamming against the boy’s cheek and sending him sprawling across the tabletop. He just gets that hit in before he’s being restrained and hauled back to the door, shoved across the threshold with no regard for gentleness. He stumbles, and that grin is still curving his mouth up when he looks up, wolfish, savage, and–it stutters when he meets your eyes.
You stare back, wide eyed at the sight of him. His keys hang limply in your hand, forgotten in favour of their owner whose nose has begun to bleed down his chin, drippin onto the collar of his shirt and staining it crimson.
“I–thought I told you to wait in the car,” he says weakly, at last.
“What was that?” you ask, dazed, ignoring him. You look between him and the windows of the bar, where you can still see the other boy, holding a tea towel to his split cheek.
His lips part, and he looks away as if to search for an answer he does not have. Like a magnet, your gaze flicks down. You swallow at the smear of red that settles above his cupid’s bow, dark, almost black as the shadows on his face stretch.
“Jason.” You stress his name. He grimaces.
“I didnt-” he breaks off, letting out a loud sigh. “I knew him, okay? Didn’t do that for no reason.”
You wait, sensing the oncoming explanation. By his side, you spot the reddening skin of his knuckles, looking at home amongst the pale, faded scars.
“He’s a dick,” he says, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. It seems almost shy, the way his fingers press against his lips as he tells you the truth. “He’s in one of my classes and he was giving one of the other guys a hard time ‘cause..”
His face hardens and you fear he’s about to go back into the bar. You hedge a step forward to clutch his sleeve. He shakes his head. You don’t let go. “Anyway, he had it coming. If it wasn’t me, it would’ve been someone else. He was bothering some girl in there too, when I saw him…piece of shit.”
Affection blooms between your ribs so suddenly it leaves you breathless, and you stare up at him, stunned.
“Oh.”
“Yeah,” he blows out a breath, watching you carefully.
“I thought you’d hit him harder,” you blurt out, and his eyes widen. He lets out a tired laugh, wincing in between snickers.
“Don’t think you’re s’posed to agree with me, baby,” he murmurs, drawing closer. You’ve probably stretched his sleeve out with your grip, but you make no move to let go. Baby. It fits in his mouth, belongs to him, even. He’s claimed it now.
“Right,” you breathe out, blinking up at his face. The air goes still, the undercurrents of adrenaline re-igniting with the trip of your voice over the five letter word. There is no admonishment in your tone, and teal eyes turn onyx in half a breath, lashes fluttering as he looks at you. “Violence…is bad..”
His eyes crease, amused, but he’s barely moving, and his voice comes out a little strangled. “Word of advice, don’t ever go into politics.”
“You don’t believe me?” you joke quietly and he huffs out a laugh. Once more, your gaze snags on the glimpse of his canines, peeking from below his lips, pointed and shiny.
You can smell the blood on him when he takes a step closer, the toes of his sneakers scuffing against yours. You look at him clearly, awash with the yellow light of the street, bloody and bruising. He’s lucky that he isn’t due back on campus for another two weeks, but you have a feeling it wouldn’t matter either way–he’s no less attractive to you. It should concern you that you find blood a good look on him, or that the savagery in his smile only made your heart beat a little faster, but you can only stare through half lidded eyes at him.
Somewhere down the road, the roar of an engine filters through the air, but you pay it little attention when he draws closer, closer, closer.
You aren’t sure who moves first, only that Jason kisses you for the first time underneath that streetlight, and the taste of copper in your mouth only presses you closer into him, clutching his sleeve and hoping it leaves as much of a mark that he’s left on you.

I just remembered about this draft post i made years ago during a semester when i had maybe the funniest professors ever. I guess now that it’s been a while since i’ve been out of uni it’d be fun to just post these
Algebra

(TA after realizing mistake) oh noooooo….all the other students….i told them the wrong thing…aaah shit
wow…spontaneous silence
can they smurf better
if you look at the solutions after trying a question only once or twice, it will break my heart
last-minute cramming will be about as useful as bringing your dog to the exam
Calculus
this fucker converges
(every time he writes a complicated equation) what the fuuuuu
fuck the one
you know what bfc stands for? big fuckin cube
mathematics is serious!! we don’t like laughter. no laughter allowed. stop laughing. even smiling is not allowed
(someone’s phone goes off) what was that? probably me
(some weird noise coming from outside) what was that? god is that you
e^x is god’s function. lnx is the devil’s function

Analysis
½ is less than 1…somehow
oh, 5 minutes left…well, i don’t really have anything else i want to cover. actually maybe i’ll just write a definition *(whole class goes NOOOOO)* okayyy
(finding out there is 15 minutes left of class) oh wow. i thought this would’ve taken me more time to get through
(after playing around with some faulty blackboards) i’m scared for my life now
(after being stuck on his own proof) i’m going to take a quick look at my notes, which is already pretty embarrassing
(after making a gajillion mistakes on the board) i really need to learn to read before i talk

(TA) somebody on the midterm wrote “i’m dumb” on this question. that’s pretty irrelevant because i’m dumb and i can do this question

I Did Everything I Was Supposed To Do (pt.1)
Haechan x male reader
Summary: Finals week turns out to be the final breaking point for y/n, but luckily Haechan is around right when you need him
Warnings: fluff, some angst: homophobia, allusions to panic disorder, stress
Tumblr media
“Fuck. I can’t believe I forgot about the final on Monday. Fuck fuck fuck” Y/n cursed under his breath as he walked as fast as he could toward the entrance to his boyfriend’s place. Y/n had a million things to do the next few days already, and now he had a final to cram for on top of it all. “One thing at a time” he told himself knowing it’s what Hyuck would tell him if they were together right now. He didn’t really listen to this advice of course… especially coming from his own mouth instead of his cute adorable boyfriend.Oh God. I wish he was here so bad. But Haechan was still at the dance studio and would be for the next several hours. That’s why y/n was even entering Haechan’s apartment right now in the first place; Daegal needed to be taken out while Haechan was gone.
He HAD to have his stupid extra long dance rehearsal today of course. On the day where he already had to finish a ton of assignments and now cram for a test. Y/n quickly threw his backpack on the ground and sprinted over to daegal scooping her up before she even knew what was happening. While he waited for Daegal to do her business and walk around a little, y/n got back to planning his study schedule in his head. If I start by studying for the exam… I can trade every 45 minutes from cramming to working on the lab report for my other class. Fuck! That depends on whether the others ever filled in their data. Ok so I’ll save that for the end and work on the PowerPoint instead even though it’s due the longest from now. As long as I cut myself off at around 1:00 am, that should be enough sleep to take the exam at 9:30 the next day. It was going to be a rough night, but y/n decided he’d just have to work away and hope for the best.
Y/N went back inside and scooped his backpack up again to go work in Hyuck’s bedroom. He found the smell of his boyfriend clinging to the room to be extremely comforting and he hoped it would help him stay calm and focused on his work. He opened up his laptop to the lecture notes for the exam and began skimming them for any confusing topics that jumped out at him. What the? I only know like 2 of these concepts?? I’m screwed. Y/N new from plenty of old tests that it would only make things worse if he worried about it now, and feeling himself start to panic, he decided to work on the PowerPoint instead. He figured he should just finish all his other assignments so that he could then spend the entire rest of the night studying.
An hour into working on the PowerPoint y/n’s phone buzzed. He opened it to find a message from one of his lab partners that read “hey y/n I’m really sorry but I’m actually boarding a plane right now so I’m not gonna be able to finish my part of the lab. Maybe you can ask [partner name 2] for her data? I think she got mine down too.”
Y/n: “I’ll ask her.”
Partner 1: “KK.”
“Gotta go, sorry again!”
Partner 2: “Shit. I don’t have her values either y/n. I’m pretty sure that part of the lab was online though, so one of us can just do the lab at home right now.”
“Oh wait actually, I have to take both of my finals on Monday. It’s due Tuesday right? So I won’t have time to do her part. Y/n any chance you can do it?”
Y/n: “ I only have one midterm tomorrow… I guess I can do it if no one else can.”
Partner 2: “Ur the best bro! Tysm <3”
Y/n: …
.
.
Fuck me. How am I supposed to do [p/n 1]’s work for them on top of everything else? Y/n barely had enough time to do all his work as it was. And he had done all of HIS work on the lab already too. He thought he’d just quickly analyze his partner’s data and then turn it in… but no. This is totally unfair. I have more work than either of them, and I’m doing their work for them too on top of it all. Y/n’s eyes grew misty for a second threatening to turn into tears, but y/n shook his head hard and the urge to cry went away for now. He had to get back to— wait no. He needed to cook dinner. With no Hyuck home to cook dinner like usual, he was going to starve if he didn’t make something for himself. Standing up quickly y/n smacked his arm on Hyuck’s dresser skinning it in the process. Great. Now he was bleeding. And it had gotten on his white shirt too. Except it wasn’t his shirt, it was his boyfriend’s shirt that he had borrowed. Y/n was this close to screaming in frustration, but stripped off the shirt quickly and made his way to the bathroom to clean the spot before it stained. And of course, he needed to throw it in the washer if he really didn’t want it to stain, and that meant he should really just do all of Haechan’s laundry now. So heart now racing in a slight panic, y/n gathered the laundry and started the cycle as quickly as possible so that he could start on dinner.
Opting for the most time efficient option, y/n grabbed some pasta and left it to boil while he got back to work for a few minutes. There sure was a lot on his mind now between the pasta he was cooking, Daegal (who he suddenly remembered needed to be fed as well), the lab report, the final exam in a day, Haechan’s laundry that still needed to be dried, folded, and put away, and the millions of other things he needed to get done before going home to his family at the end of the week. And the trip home would be another ordeal that required a lot of planning and prep work. Y/n had a lot of problems at home due to his conservative family and their recent discovery that he was dating Haechan. But that’s silly. I shouldn’t worry about that right now. And it’s not like it’s anything new knowing they all disapprove of my “lifestyle choice”. That’s old news, and I need to focus on this. Y/n went back to his multitasking and eventually got Daegal fed, the laundry in the dryer, and got a good portion of the lab done.
At 10:30 y/n finally felt satisfied with the PowerPoint and had finished collecting most of the data his partner was supposed to do. So he went to wash all the dishes he had left out at dinner and put away the leftovers as a quick study break. He smiled at the pasta he’d saved for Haechan knowing it would make his boyfriend’s day to find food ready for him after a long night of dance practice. When he walked back into Hyuck’s bedroom to finish the lab, he noticed several notifications on his phone again.
Mom: Hey you’re coming home on Wednesday right? You’ll be done with finals week by then?
Dad: Hey y/n you better have a gift ready for your mother when you come home on Tuesday. She’s still pretty upset about Haechan, so you should really try to make her feel better.
Bro: Dude mom and dad are pissed cuz dad thought you were coming home Tuesday after your final, and then mom told him you said Wednesday. So he flipped and said you were probably staying longer to fuck Haechan or something
Y/N: I told them both Wednesday. I AM spending Tuesday night at Hyuck’s place. But I just wanted a night to relax before immediately coming home
Don’t tell them that… just say I’m busy or something
Bro: sorry bro, that’s not gonna work. You better come home Tuesday or they’re gonna make the trip absolute hell for you
Y/N: fuck ok fine, I’ll make it work
Y/n was getting more and more stressed by the second. And now he wouldn’t even get any sort of buffer between finals week and seeing his family. And fuck he had that feeling in his head- that feeling of anxiety setting in- making him slightly dizzy and his chest tight. Fuck. Fuck. I’m gonna have a panic attack. I know it’s coming. Should I call Hyuck? He should be on his way home by now anyway right? Ok fuck. Yeah he should call his boyfriend. Maybe he could talk him through it. He prayed he was right and Hyuck would actually answer his phone, and to his relief, Hyuck answered right away.
“y/n! I’m on my way home and practice went pretty well! I think the show is going to be really good this quarter. Have you made dinner yet? And how’s the studying going?” He was so excited to hear his y/n ie’s voice on the phone. “Hyuck.” Y/n felt the lump in his throat form and wasn’t able to get out the rest of your words as he broke into tears. “Y/n? What’s wrong love? Are you ok?” No words came out of y/n as he began to hyperventilate. Haechan could hear y/n’s shallow breathing and put together that he must be having a panic attack. He assured y/n he’d be there in the next ten minutes and stayed on the phone with him until he rushed through the door exactly ten minutes later, Immediately making his way over to y/n huddled in the corner of his bed crying and hyperventilating. From past experience he knew y:n liked him to stay close until he was able to calm down and talk.
Haechan slowly climbed into the bed, sliding his body between your back and the bed frame, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting bear hug. “I’ve got you y/n. I’ve got you, and I’m not going anywhere.” Y/n began shaking in Haechan’s arms unable to fully process what was happening with his mind completely taken over by panic at this point. Haechan rested his chin on y/n’s soft hair and hummed a song. Y/n did his best to focus on the light vibrations on his head from Haechan’s tune. “I’ll just talk about my day a little too ok y/n? Squeeze my hand if you’d like that.” Y/n’s eyes remained squeezed tight, and his body was still trembling, but he gives Haechan’s hand a light squeeze back. “Ok love. Let’s see… I saw Jungwoo today! I know he’s your favorite dance major right? He was really cool to watch, you were right! He might even be more charismatic than me” he teased. Y/n didn’t laugh out loud or acknowledge him, but he appreciated Hyuck trying to lighten the mood. “I spent most of the night working on my duet with Mark though. They have us doing this really acrobatic hiphop song and it’s a lot of work. I’ve memorized all the footwork though. It was kind of funny watching Mark struggle with it more than me for once honestly. Next time you should tag along and watch. When it’s not finals week of course!” He adds, giving a small pec to your forehead.
“Is that why you’re stressed by the way? Finals?” He doesn’t really expect y/n to give any responses yet. But much to his surprise you shake your head in response. “No. More.” Y/n says quietly, starting to breath a little more evenly. “What else baby? What’s stressing you out.”
“Everything!” Y/n exclaims. “So much. TOO much” y/n squeaks out bursting into more tears. Haechan gently shushes you and squeezes his arms tighter around your body and begins planting little kisses all over your head to comfort you. “It’s ok y/n. It’s ok.” Hyuck can feel y/n’s body body relax a tiny bit despite his sobs. Y/n spins around melting into Haechan and burying his face in his chest
To be continued…

Day 15 and 16!!
Warning: 5.1 spoilers here as I reach the end of the story update!!
So yay!! Midterms are done (for now 😭), so I was finally able to continue the Archon quest!!
In day 15, other than dailies, I did a few runs of the VV domain but got nothing better for Kazuha 😔. I'd add a bit more, but day 16 is going to be way longer so I figured it's best to keep it short.
Day 16: After essentially 2 days of not playing any hoyo game, I Iog in so I can finish the quest!!
Like my previous post, bold is actual reaction and parentheses is after thoughts. We are continuing after Capitano and Mavuika's talk.
Ok I'm guessing now that Mavuika is the last hero because there are no other prominent characters, plus all the tribes are accounted for, I think. I'm really curious who it is though. (I realize that i am dumb later and clearly misremembered Mavuika's explanation in 5.0)
ORORON IS SO CUTE WITH HIS SINCERE APOLOGIZING 😭😭😭😭
No Ororon!! Just accept the compliment!!
Xilonen and Citlali are finally gonna make the name!! Xilonen's gonna die?? I mean, there's probably gonna be a workaround or something cause there's no way hoyo is going to kill her off but STILL. (It seems like there are a lot of slots empty in the tool, so do we need to fill it up before the name can be made? Actually, i'll check it later to see if it changed after the war. Assuming it needs to fill up, how are we going to do that before Mavuika has to go?)
MAVUIKA is gonna die too now??? I'm really curious how hoyo is going to pull this off now. Lord of the Night is basically garantuing this death.
OH no. I have to make a decision (cue PTSD from TOT where i accidentally chose the decision that killed off an entire tribe in Dragonsbreath because i was tapping too fast😭😭). I can tell there are probably consequences to choosing one place to help over another 😭😭😭 (Yup, seeing how one place was no longer salvageable hurt and triggered PTSD)
KINICH!!!
You gotta respect and admire how much everyone cares about Mavuika.
CUTSCENE! MAVUIKA?!?!?! What're u planning?!?!? Also Capitano coming to the save 🥹🥹🥹
My gosh everyone is dead here 😔😔😔. Its definitely a real war now.
Was I supposed to jump off there?!?! 😭😭😭 Lumine speaks!!! (No seriously, the map seemed to circle that area as a place I could go to, but the balloon didn't stop so i was very confused and sad that I might've been able to save someone there)
CHASCA!?!? She's crying, and I'm crying and we're all crying 😭😭😭 CHUYCU DIED!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭 (Hoyo killing these characters in front of us 😭😭)
What!! I thought she was already a hero!?!?!? I guess I really misremembered who they mentioned was a hero 😭😭😭
THEY'RE ALL HERE!!! Mavuika looks so cool 🥹🥹🥹 But is it really just gonna be us plus the heroes fighting?? (Nope, everyone's fighting and I misunderstood again 😔)
The extra convos are so cute!!
WE WON!! But also, what the heck was behind the false sky!?!?!? (I really don't know enough of the hidden lore to know what that could be)
Feast time!! Capitano joined us!!! Also hmmm, Mavuika (and maybe us) alone to fight the abyss? Are we sure about this????
OOOOH!! Mavuika flashback!! RONOVA says the iconic line from the trailer!! The one that gave a sneak peek to all the acts for each region!
CAPITANO?!?!?!
So yeah, this update was amazing and I really liked how they made your decision on where to go have an actual effect on the results because it made the war so much more devastating 😭😭😭. Knowing that the other place would get run over by the Abyss depending on where you go....
Anyway, that's it for today!! Hope everyone has a nice day!!

OK ANOTHER THING BECAUSE I READ THE NEXT PART… THE WIBBLES??? ;-; the wiggles I am only now discovering are in fact not a universal childhood staple… next thing your gonna be telling me you don’t know about playschool… lol
Playschool like... the educational institution?
I mean my brother went to playschool. I guess.
TW: uh, corporeal punishment at school, so proceed with caution.
My, uh 'playschool' made me learn four languages in addition to maths and environmental science at the age of four, those languages (thankfully one being english) used different scripts, at the same age of four I had midterms and finals of fifty marks each and a grading system from A to F, and when we didn't do homework we were hit with wooden scales on the palms until a centimetre thick 30 cm long scale broke after hitting a whole class of five year olds...
If you're referring to playschool like a show/band/anything else, then I admit that no, I do not know about playschool.

rpf rambles again cause i survived a midterm and now i'm allowed
i think that so far for 1u i will be debuting at least 3 new ship tags yay (and using another ship tag for the 2nd time ever and i was also the first. rarepair hell!)
i am having fun i am making weird things! i made too many weird things instead of studying for my quantum mech midterm very much but it went ok enough to not ruin my life + i now have a glorious fic about [redacted thing that is likely only compelling to me]
i have had the most evil series of commutes this lately (for example today on my way home there were 2 sequential bus cancellations! so i stood in the cold damp evil for almost an hour! i was going to take a different route and get a ride from halfway home but then that one was also cancelled!) so i have impulse purchased things from the mall dollar store. including things that i probably can't make good or reasonable art but what if i try. what if i make [redacted] that cost me 1.75$+tax and kept me occupied when the bus wasn't there into a project of some kind...
i had my weekly jays server rant of Why is nobody writing cb/kg!!! because why?! this is absurd. they are so middle aged dads who would be so strange together and argue about camo patterned throw pillows and who is better at grilling and also probably do rope bondage with stuff from chris' camping supplies! please!
Tumblr media
i am having unspeakable visions that i, as you might guess, will not be speaking of. i will however describe the experience of these visions. it is something like if brain freeze from eating ice cream too fast were a deeply homosexual creature, experienced mild shame, and knew about the band depeche mode and also kink. send help.

Chapter 8 - Girl Math
Seokmin didn’t expect their ‘second date’ to be within the same week, much less within 24 hours of one another, but when he woke up early that Sunday morning to a text from Joshua, his heart got lodged in his throat.
[Joshua] (10min ago]: Hey! I’m finishing up my run this morning and I’m passing your apartment! Want to meet up and get a coffee?
Seokmin immediately bolted out of bed and made a beeline for his closet. He pulled open his closet and scanned it for something resembling activewear. After a second of scanning with no luck, Seokmin realized something. He turned to the phone, sitting face up with the messages to Joshua still open.
“I never replied…” he muttered to himself. Seokmin quickly picked up his phone and wrote a reply.
[Seokmin] (now): Sounds great! Text me when you’re outside and I’ll meet you!!!
Seokmin deleted the extra exclamation points before sending it and returning to his closet to find something else to wear. With midterms being over, the four-day weekend meant classes didn’t start until the following day, a much-needed breather for students. Most of them, Seungkwan included, took the extra Monday to sleep in, but not Seokmin. He was throwing on a tee shirt and a pair of basketball shorts that he thinks are Mingyu’s with how loose they are hanging around his waist. He immediately tugged at the strings and made a mental note to wash and return them before the week was over.
Seokmin took an apple from the pantry, biting into it as he waited in the kitchen. He leaned against the counter, staring down at his phone. A few minutes passed since Joshua texted back with a thumbs-up emoji, most likely because he was still running towards the apartments now.
Seokmin was not as athletic as Seungkwan or as much of a gym rat as Mingyu or Seungcheol, but he knew it was important to work out. He, however, preferred walks through the neighborhood rather than being cramped in a sweaty gym. His mother says that’s because he gets self-conscious and thinks other people are looking at him while he works out, but he’s not really sure.
When his phone finally does buzz, his eyes are immediately pulled to it. Joshua’s text says he’ll be outside within 2 minutes, and Seokmin is out the door. Seungkwan’s room is still, and knowing him will probably remain that way until he’s back from the walk. Carefully, he closed the door behind him so as to not disturb his roommate, and headed down the elevator to meet Joshua outside.
When he headed outside, Joshua was already there. Seokmin chuckled when he saw him running in place still, a dopey grin on his face. The sun was just barely peeking over the horizon, about 7 a.m. by now.
“Morning~.” Joshua hummed. He did a once over of Seokmin, and his grin only widened. “You definitely look ready for a run.”
Seokmin’s smile dropped almost immediately. “Do I look stupid?”
“No, no.” Joshua shook his head. “Just…” he motioned to his pants. “You might want to sue whoever sold you those pants. They’re big on you.”
“Oh.” Seokmin fixed them at the waist, rolling them up a bit to fit on his hips better. “They’re Kim Mingyu’s. He left them here a while back and I guess I forgot to return them.” Joshua smiled.
“Hm.” He nodded. His running slowed to a small jog, motioning down the street. “Shall we? The café I wanted to get coffee from is probably going to open just as we get there.”
“Okay.” The duo headed off down the street.
“Were you awake when I texted you?” Joshua didn’t look at him as he asked.
“Just about,” Seokmin said. “I was just lying in bed.” While that was technically true, ‘I’ve been awake since 5 because I woke up to pee then couldn’t stop thinking about the one time, I waved to someone in the street that wasn’t waving back at me but the person behind me, and then it made me think of when I said ‘you too’ to our waiter and it took every fiber of my being not to gouge my eyes out so you texting me was actually a fucking god sent!’ didn’t roll off the tongue as nicely. “What about you? Do you always go for runs?”
“I try to go a few times a week while it’s warm.” He admitted. “Especially when I have the extra time.” He stretched his arms over his head, a groan escaping his lips as he opened up his chest. “I ran like 3 miles.” Seokmin whistled, and it made Joshua grin wider. “You should join me sometime.”
Seokmin had to stop himself from blurting out a love-sick agreement because he knew he’d regret it. Seungkwan was a runner, and once got him up for two weeks straight to train for a half marathon with him, and Seokmin felt too bad to say no and not look like a supportive friend. He couldn’t move his legs properly for weeks. “Maybe not an entire three miles.” He laughed shyly.
“One then,” Joshua said. “Maybe two.” He held up two fingers, and Seokmin nodded in agreement. “Cool.” He grinned. The duo walked in silence for a little bit, enjoying the cool morning air of October as it tickled their skin. Seokmin saw others out with the same idea, jogging through the streets or into the local park while the weather still felt appropriate to do so without falling over from exhaustion. Seokmin rubbed his arms, looking over at Joshua. He was in a loose tee shirt and pair of basketball shorts, similar to him but his clothes actually fit him and most likely weren’t grabbed from his best friend’s closet. Seokmin had to swat away the idea that Joshua is put off by Seokmin wearing another man’s shorts, even if that man is his best friend and someone who is in a committed relationship with someone else.
The thought that followed it though, about how good Joshua looked in his running outfit, made Seokmin’s cheeks heat up in embarrassment. “What are your plans for the rest of the long weekend?” Joshua finally asked. “I know you said you weren’t going all the way to your parents.”
Seokmin shrugged. “I have a shift at my job today, but I think I’m mostly going to stay home and rest.” He said. “If I do get a callback, I’ll be busy a lot more when school starts and I won’t get that time.” Joshua nodded in understanding. A second of silence before Seokmin coughed: “Uhm, what about you?”
Hearing the nervous tone in Seokmin’s voice made him chuckle, “Well, I didn’t do much work yesterday. I was on a pretty hot date.” Seokmin chuckled, scratching the back of his neck as he rolled his eyes.
“Oh?” he eyed Joshua. He nodded.
“Yeah. He’s pretty cute.” Seokmin sucked his lips in between his teeth to hold back his smile, which threatened to overtake his entire face. Joshua looked him over briefly. “I gave him a teddy bear bead from my own personal collection. It’s pretty serious.”
The confident bug finally woke up in Seokmin’s brain, and he said: “Jeez, I should watch out then, hm?” Seokmin asked, and Joshua now was the one to laugh. Seokmin liked hearing Joshua’s laugh. He liked how easy Joshua made him feel, even in moments when he felt like he was going to implode within himself.
“Mhm.” Joshua nodded. The café was coming up around the corner, and Seokmin saw a young woman sweeping the pathways for the patrons. Her hair was tugged up into a curly, black ponytail. As the duo got closer, Seokmin heard her humming to herself. Seokmin immediately noticed how pretty she was, dainty and delicate in her movements, even ones as simple as sweeping. The sound of their footsteps made her look up, and she smiled with her eyes and her mouth.
“Oppa, good morning!” She cheered. Seokmin saw her name on her name tag, which was an off-white with a little drawing of a cherry blossom on it: Miyeon.
“Morning, Miyeon!” Joshua grinned. “Are you guys open yet?”
“Ah.” She peered inside, smiling. “Soyeon is just finishing setting everything up, but I’m sure she’ll open the doors early for you.” Miyeon turned to the glass window, leaning forward and knocking on it. Seokmin peered inside to see two other girls behind the counter. One was wiping down the counter while the other was making sure all of the pastries in the displays were prepared. It took a second of Miyeon to knock on the glass, but when one of the girls who Seokmin could only guess was Soyeon glanced up, she immediately smiled. Joshua waved to them through the glass. Soyeon turned her head, motioning to the other girl to open the door. The girl with long brown hair tucked up in a bun hurried over, opening the door and grinning.
“Oppa!” She cheered happily, eyes sparkling. “You came to see little old me this morning~?”
Joshua laughed in amusement, and Seokmin was unable to hold back a smile. “Of course, I did, Shuhua.” He assured hints of playfulness in his voice.
“Then come on in, come on in. I just started warming up the coffee.” She reached forward and took him by the hand, leading him inside. Seokmin glanced at Miyeon, who simply went back to sweeping the front of the café, before following Joshua inside.
“Morning~.” Soyeon grinned from behind the counter, her black bob swaying as she leaned forward on the counter. “Who’s your friend? He’s cute.”
“Oh uh.” Seokmin glanced at Joshua, who was grinning ear to ear. He was already staring up at the menu. “I’m Seokmin.”
“Aaaah.” Soyeon nodded. “Are you running buddies?”
“…Sure.” Seokmin offered a half-smile, which Soyeon responded to with a full one that showed a set of perfect teeth, and accentuated the birthmark under her right eye.
“The usual?” Soyeon asked, and Joshua nodded.
“Extra whipped cream?”
“It’ll cost ya~.” Shuhua piped up, and again, Joshua laughed. Shuhua and Soyeon were making small talk with Joshua while Seokmin eyed the menu. He had yet to visit his café despite passing it a few times on his walks through the area, and without knowing which café they were going to, Seokmin was unable to pre-scan the menu. So, he had to think fast. What did he want to order this morning? His eyes lasered in on each option listed, cross-referencing it with others he has tried from other cafes. Finally, his eyes landed on something simple.
A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream.
Seokmin watched as Shuhua began preparing Joshua’s drink, continuing to repeat the phrase over and over in his head so he wouldn’t forget. A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream. A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream.
Wow, Joshua looks really good right now. Sweaty or not, he’s beautiful.
A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream. A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream.
Why is Shuhua flirting with Joshua? Is this a common thing? Joshua doesn’t seem to mind, but…
A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream.
“What would you like?” Soyeon’s voice ripped through his thoughts, eyes snapping back to her as she rested her elbows on the counter. Seokmin’s mouth opened up, and in that moment no words came out.
He could only mutter a shaky: “Uh….” Before falling silent. “A medium….” Fuuuck. His eyes shot back up to the menu for attempt two. “A medium chai latte with caramel and no whipped cream.” Soyeon leaned forward, eyebrow cocked in curiosity.
“What? I’m sorry.” Seokmin’s face heated up almost immediately. Abort mission, abort! Please for the love of God abort the mission!
“A medium chai latte with caramel….and no whipped cream?” He sounded almost confused despite saying it so many times in his head. Soyeon nodded, turning to punch the order into the machine. When Seokmin looked at Joshua, a taut line sat where his smile once was, and it only worked to fluster Seokmin more.
Soyeon turned around quickly. “Shuhua, can you make a medium chai latte with caramel and whip?” She asked
Seokmin opened his mouth to speak one more time, but again, no words came out. Did he actually omit the ‘no’ in ‘no whip cream?’ He couldn’t remember, and the last thing he wanted was to come across as a difficult customer. If he did, what if Shuha spit in his cup or something because how could the first customer of the day be so rude? He would definitely put the girls in a terrible mood for the rest of their shift, and the world would explode, and-.
His lips closed immediately, and he only nodded as Soyeon read the total out to them. Joshua simply fished for his wallet, thumbing through it to grab his credit card. As he handed it to Soyeon with a grin, he said: “I think Seokmin asked for no whipped cream.” He turned to Seokmin for clarification. “Right?”
“Yeah…” Seokmin said. “Sorry.”
“My bad, totally misheard,” Soyeon said with a casual wave of her hand. “Heard that, Shuhua? No whip.”
“Roger, Unnie!” She called without turning her head back, her brunette locks swaying as she moved between the coffee machines.
And just like that, the world kept on turning. No explosion to speak of.
⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔(im)perfect🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌
“Come see us soon.” Shuhua cooed, leaning against the front door. “Byee~.”
“Bye.” Joshua waved.
Seokmin sipped his own drink, waving to the girls as the duo made their way down the street. Seokmin glanced at Joshua, studying the drink in his hand. “Hyung.” He said.
“Hm?”
“Thanks for the coffee.”
“Oh, sure.” Joshua smiled. “I offered, after all.”
“What’s your usual?” Seokmin asked.
“I only get this there because I like the way they make it, but it’s a caramel macchiato with whipped cream and chocolate sauce on it.” Seokmin hummed.
“Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the run you just did?” he asked. When Joshua glanced at him, Seokmin bit his lip. “Not that it’s any of my business.”
“No, you have a point.” He laughed in amusement. With another sip, Joshua began to explain. “Jeonghan’s girlfriend told me once that since I’m walking while I drink the coffee, the calories basically cancel themselves out.” He smirked and put the straw to his lips again.
“…I don’t think that’s correct.” Seokmin cocked an eyebrow.
“She called it something.” Joshua sipped the drink. “Girl math?”
“Girl math?” Seokmin made a mental note to ask his sister about that concept, as he was not a girl, nor good at math. Joshua laughed again, and Seokmin chuckled. When he put the drink to his lips, he looked up to the morning sky. The sun was settling into the sky, its orange and yellow morning hues fading away as the blue sky took its place.
“It’s really nice out for an October morning.” Seokmin nodded at Joshua’s comment. “But I know I’ll need a jacket soon. I don’t even know where my puffer is.” He sighed, putting his hand in the pocket of his shorts. Seokmin took another sip of his drink, the duo fell into silence. It was okay for a few minutes, but the longer it lasted, Seokmin felt a bit nervous. Should he start the next topic of conversation? Is that what Joshua was waiting for by going silent again? Seokmin glanced at him, trying to gauge the expressions of the other, but he just kept walking and drinking his coffee, unphased.
“So.” Seokmin finally uttered, and Joshua looked over. “You never told me what you were doing the rest of the long weekend.”
“I didn’t?” Seokmin shook his head.
“Only that your hot date made you not get work done.” Joshua grinned against the straw of his drink.
“It’s nothing interesting, but if you really want to know, I’m leading a discussion for all of Professor Moon’s classes next week and I need to have stuff prepared. He won’t even give me his projections or notes.”
“I heard he was tough from Seungkwan,” Seokmin said, and Joshua nodded in agreement. It was the first time Seokmin had seen Joshua borderline angry, other than his run-in with Jeonghan, but somehow he thought that was more annoyance than anger.
“I have a million things to research because the things I talk about have to eventually align with the final. Y’know?” Seokmin didn’t, but he nodded anyway. “The professor wants to see my teaching ability, and if I can lead a successful discussion.”
“You’ll do great,” Seokmin said quickly, and it seemed to flash a smile on Joshua’s lips again.
“Thanks.” He said. “But I still have my own classes to work on, so I don’t know when I’ll have time to get it all done.” Seokmin watched as Joshua seemingly began to do the time calculations in his head. The idea of Study Week had his own stomach doing flips. Not the best topic of conversation, it seemed. He sipped his drink and stopped talking, thinking it’d be better for the both of them. Hoping to distract himself from the silence, Seokmin pulled out his phone and pulled up Snapchat. He saw a few stories left by his sister from the night before, in the woods behind their house with friends as they cackled and swore the night away, happy to simply be alive. Seokmin smiled to himself, finally pulling up his own camera. He spun it around, slowing his pace so the lens wouldn’t shake. He stuck his drink out in front of him. It had a few sips taken out of it, but the cup was a nice plastic, reflecting off some of the fading morning sunlight. Seokmin angled his phone down, tongue poking out of his lips as he snapped a few pictures of his drink.
When he went for a few more, another drink popped up into the frame. Seokmin jumped, his focus lasered in on his phone’s camera for a good shot. When he looked up, Joshua was grinning. “Can I be in one?” he asked curiously.
“Oh, yeah. Sorry, that was rude.” Seokmin angled his camera to get both drinks in the frame. Joshua scooted closer to Seokmin, grinning as he craned his neck to look down at the photo as Seokmin angled it.
“Pretty,” Joshua commented in English. Seokmin couldn’t understand it, but he nodded in agreement, finally snapping a few more pictures. “Can we take one?” He asked. Seokmin tilted his head, eyebrows furrowed in confusion at his question. “A picture, Seokmin. Can we take a picture?” he held up his own phone. Seokmin blinked, feeling his cheeks heat up at the suggestion. Joshua pulled up his phone’s camera, eyes studying the camera as it came into focus.
“Yeah.” Seokmin finally managed to say, eyes sparkling at the idea. Seokmin loved pictures. Joshua grinned, scooting closer to Seokmin. They had moved out of the main road so they were not in anyone’s way, but their backs were to the road to get the nice scenery behind them. Joshua lifted up his phone, and Seokmin immediately put his fingers in a peace sign that he pressed against his eye. Joshua tilted his head, eyes squinting just a bit as a little smile formed on his face. Seokmin couldn’t help but offer a toothy grin at about 80 percent in size, one that made Joshua turn to him almost immediately. “…What?” Seokmin’s smile dropped.
“Nothing.” Joshua grinned. “You just have a nice smile.”
Seokmin’s cheeks burned as Joshua turned back around, muttering a quick. “Ready?” Seokmin nodded, flashing the same toothy grin, this time at a mere sixty percent, the corners of his mouth still turned up, and Joshua snapped the picture. Seokmin watched it shrink into Joshua’s photos, only to be enlarged when Joshua clicked it. Seokmin looked at it for a moment.
It wasn’t terrible, but Seokmin has taken better photos. He pursed his lips together. Joshua looked stunning in it, so it was okay to keep. He made the photo worth it. “You look adorable.” Joshua glanced up at him.
“Ah, no.” Seokmin laughed shyly. Joshua nudged him, the duo finally continued to walk.
“Oh! What’s your Instagram?” he asked. “I’m not on mine too much, but can I have yours?”
“Sure.” Seokmin took Joshua’s phone, where Instagram was already pulled up, and he typed in his username. Joshua took the phone back, grinning down at the pictures that were immediately shown to him.
“Cute.” He turned the phone around, where a photo of him and Eunkyung was up. It was a birthday post he had made for her for her 18th birthday, a collection of photos from childhood until now. “Is this your sister?”
“Oh, yeah.” Seokmin swiped away from the photo of eight-year-old Seokmin feeding cake to a very eager four-year-old Eunkyung, past the photo of the duo at the beach when they were twelve and eight, and past the silly-faced selfie of them from fifteen and eleven, both of their faces caked in make-up that they had snuck from their mother. The last photo was the both of them at Eunkyung’s high school graduation, both of them grinning the same toothy grin as their mother snapped the photo. “That’s her.”
“Stop, you both look exactly alike!” Joshua’s eyes widened. Seokmin laughed, knowing Eunkyung would beg to differ. My face isn’t as long or My eyes are rounder are usually her go-to responses when someone says how alike they look. Joshua smiled, sticking the phone back into his pocket as they duo continued walking.
Seokmin looked down at his coffee, almost empty now since he only really took it out of his mouth to take the photo and talk. He looked down at his phone, seeing that it was almost 8 o’clock. Seungkwan might – the operative word – be awake by now, padding through the apartment wondering where he was. His message app was dry, though, so maybe not.
“I’m probably going to head back to the apartment.” Joshua finally said. He tossed his empty drink into a nearby garbage, both hands slipping into his pockets. “Gotta shower and get to work on my discussions.”
“Good luck.” Seokmin smiled. “I wish I could see you during your discussions.” Joshua glanced over.
“Me too. I think I’d be a little more comfortable.”
“I doubt that…” Seokmin said, but Joshua shook his head.
“I don’t.” He said simply. Tilting his neck side to side, seemingly to stretch his muscles, Joshua let out a confident huff. “I’m glad you were able to join me this morning~.”
“Me too.” Seokmin agreed. It was true. He wished all of his mornings started this way. It’d make those hours he spent staring at his ceiling a bit more tolerable.
“You should join me again next time,” Joshua said. “I think you gave me the motivation I needed not only to finish my work today but to run back to my apartment.”
Seokmin chuckled. “You give me way too much credit, Hyung.”
“I don’t think so,” Joshua said. He stopped walking for a second, and Seokmin’s neck turned to follow him. Joshua took a deep breath, nodding his head. “Alright, I’m ready to run.”
“Oh my God.” Seokmin chuckled. “Don’t twist your ankle or anything, okay?” Joshua grinned.
“I won’t,” he said. “Text me when you’re back at the apartment, okay?” Seokmin nodded his head, watching as Joshua fixed his shirt and shorts. When Joshua started jogging, Seokmin couldn’t help but stifle back a laugh. “Hey, don’t laugh!” Joshua called from over his shoulder. “How the hell am I supposed to start running?!” Seokmin only shrugged, watching as Joshua turned back around. He was still running just backwards, and Seokmin’s eyes widened.
“Careful!” He warned. “Turn back around or you’ll run into something!”
“I know, I know!” he waved. As he jogged a bit further, he waved to Seokmin. “See you soon, Seokmin!”
“Bye.” He waved back, his hand lingering in the air as Joshua turned back around, his pace quickening as he finally broke out into a regular run, heading further and further down the street to his apartment. Seokmin stood there for a few extra moments, hands in the pockets of his big shorts. He bit his lip, feeling himself break into an amused smile. “Unreal…” he muttered to himself.
As he walked back to his own apartment alone, he thought back to the picture of them that was currently sitting on Joshua’s phone. He thought back to his awkward smile, the peace sign that kind of looked bent at the fingertip. Not to mention his too-big shorts and a random tee shirt that didn’t match. Compared to someone as effortlessly stunning as Joshua, he felt like a little troll goblin, popping out from his little bridge to spread havoc on others in the form of awkward conversation and brain fog.
In the midst of all of his brain rot, his Joshua-sized hole filling to the brim with more events than he could manage, a few specks of Joshua popped into his brain, smiling sweetly at him and taking pictures of him.
I think Seokmin asked for no whipped cream.
His request was so gentle, yet firm then. Seokmin had to stop walking for a moment, leaning his head against the first lamppost he saw and letting out a deep sigh.
He was down so bad, and it was so embarrassing.
Seokmin thought about it the entire way home, where Seungkwan staggered out of bed just as the clock ticked to 8:15. His hair was matted, his eyes still glazed over with sleep and his feet dragging along the floor. He barely managed to utter a ‘Where did you go?’ as he staggered to the coffee machine to start himself a cup. Seokmin went to the pantry, digging for something to make them breakfast.
“I went on a walk…” he said. Seungkwan’s little disinterested hum made Seokmin’s stomach bubble. “…With Joshua-Hyung.”
Seokmin had never seen Seungkwan wake up that fast in his life.
⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔(im)perfect🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌⚔🦌
That afternoon plopped Seokmin in the middle of his per diem job; a cash register at a small, family-owned convenience store on the other side of their neighborhood. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lee, opened the shop after years of competitive dancing and traveling the world. Finally ready to settle down with their family, they inherited the store from relatives as new parents. It’s a story Mr. Lee loves to share, especially with Seokmin because he loves to hear it. One of his favorite romance stories was available for free, at his request. Not only was this job easy and flexible, but it provided him with spending money. This, plus his summer job as a camp counselor, and Seokmin was set.
“Hyung!” Seokmin looked over when he was called, seeing a shorter male with a black undercut and black varsity jacket peek out from the aisle. He had a huge box at his side. “Dad asked if you could help me restock.”
“Sure, Chan.” Lee Chan, the elder of the two Lee brothers, was already stocking shelves with chips and cookies, leaving Seokmin to gather drinks and place them in the drink fridges. He turned to the younger, watching as he immediately opened a bag of chips and popped one into his mouth. Chan seemed to catch his gaze and offer the open bag over.
“Want one?”
“Heh, I’m okay.” he assured. “Are you done with midterms?”
“Mhm. I had to show a solo dance to pre-selected music, and my Professor said it was the best one in the class.” Chan beamed. “The rest of my exams were okay, but knowing I did well on that one was all I needed. You know?”
“I do.” Seokmin continued to place lukewarm drinks into the fridges, he was glad he wore a long sleeve to keep out the extra chill. The front door opened and Seokmin watched Chan head to the front, immediately grinning as he welcomed in an older woman. With the drinks stocked, he moved to shelve the rest of Chan’s snacks for him until he came back from helping the woman. “I’m almost done.” Seokmin said before the younger could even protest.
“Oh. Thanks, Hyung.” He smiled in appreciation, kneeling down to help with the last few snacks in the inventory. Seokmin enjoyed the moment of silence as the duo finished stocking the snacks and went around the store to finish some other upkeep. Seokmin was sweeping by the front door when another boy came in, immediately shouting:
“Chan-hyung!”
“What, Geon?!” Was heard from the counter, Chan’s head shooting up from his phone.
“Look!” The younger hurried to the counter, a quick: “Hi, Seokmin-hyung!” in passing. He pulled out his phone and passed it to his brother. “Guess who finally has a girlfriend~.” He beamed the confident smile of a 16-year-old who felt on top of the world.
“About time.” Chan snorted. “She’s way too pretty for you, though.”
“Hey!” Geon pouted. With Chan laughing, he hurried over to Seokmin next. “You don’t think she’s ugly, do you? Wouldn’t you date her?”
“He’s not into girls like that, idiot,” Chan called.
“That doesn’t mean I’m blind, Chan.” Seokmin pointed out, seeing Chan’s face break into a grin. He peered down at the photo of Geon and another student outside their high school, posing by the entrance. “No, she’s so pretty. You two look cute, together.”
“See?!” Geon glared at his older brother, who finally relented. “Thank you, Hyung. I can always count on you.”
Seokmin smiled as the younger brother disappeared into the back entrance, looking for his parents before finally going back to sweeping. As the front of the store fell back into silence, Seokmin could feel the giddiness of Geon announcing his news rubbing off on him, making him smile to himself. He loved romance - loved love -so much that seeing other people experience it just felt like enough for him.

“Oppa!” Eunkyung gasped. “Guess what? I think I got above an 85 on all of my midterms!”
“That’s awesome, Kyungie!” Seokmin gasped, his sister squealing in excitement. He was lying on his stomach in bed, the phone his sister and mother Facetiming through propped up against his footboard.
“I’m just waiting on my Literature one, but that was the easiest one.”
“That’s great!”
“When do you get yours?” His mother asked, and Eunkyung angled the phone to show her mother, who was sipping a coffee as she stared at her son from behind the rim of her glasses.
“Probably this week, when classes pick up again. Callbacks, too.”
“You’ll have to tell us if you get callbacks!” Eunkyung called out of frame, only to be shushed by her mother for being loud. Seokmin smiled a bit. He wasn’t in the room, but based on what he could see on his tiny phone screen, the atmosphere seemed much calmer than it did the last time they spoke, whatever the duo was bickering about seemed to be long gone.
“What else is going on?” His mother asked, and Seokmin began talking about the lives of everyone else since his was reduced to thinking about Joshua all day, and who would want to hear about that? He told about Mingyu and Seungcheol’s relationship, Seungkwan’s successful volleyball tryouts and current love interest, and the mystery that was Wen Junhui and Xu Minghao. Eunkyung coughed, turning the phone back to her own face. Her ponytail was swaying behind her, a smirk on her face.
“Oppaaaa, speaking of boyfriends~.” Seokmin’s heart stopped beating for a second, eyes widening.
“You didn’t start dating, did you? Aish, Eunkyung.” His sister laughed.
“Oh no, no. I’m talking about you. What’s the latest in your love life? There have to be so many parties, and you must be getting boys hitting on your left and right!”
“Do you know who you’re talking to?” His mother asked.
“Thanks, Mom.” Seokmin frowned, and the girls on the other end laughed, his mother assuring him that she was only kidding. Seokmin smiled, biting his lip as he tried to think of how to reply to his sister’s interrogation. His face seemed to be enough because Eunkyung gasped. “OPPA! There’s someone?! Who?!”
“No, no. There’s not.” Seokmin said.
“I swear, I’ll call Mingyu-Oppa right now and ask him. He won’t lie to me.” That’s true. Mingyu had a little sister of his own, and being that he was one of the sweetest people ever set on this planet, he was never able to say no to Eunkyung, regardless of if she deserved it or not. “Who is it?”
“Well….” Seokmin sighed. “There’s this TA in Seungkwan and Mingyu’s class.”
“A TA?!” His mother gasped. “Older man, hm? Is he cute?”
“Aahh.” Seokmin covered his face with his other hand, feeling his cheeks heat up. “Very.”
“You have to send us a picture like right now.” Eunkyung gasped. “We need to see him.”
“No, it’s not that serious,” Seokmin said quickly. “We’ve only hung out a few times. We’re just friends, I don’t want to make it a bigger deal than it has to be.”
“But you said he was cute. He must think you’re cute, too.” Eunkyung encouraged. “What’s his name?”
“Ah, Joshua Hong.”
“Oh, he’s foreign?” His mother chimed.
“American.” He grinned when his mother and sister let out a collective ‘oooooooo’ on the other end of the call. “He’s nice, but he’s busy. I don’t think things will go anywhere.”
“You never know, Seokmin.” His mother reassured him. He heard her take a long sip of her tea, just as a notification popped up on his phone.
joshu_acoustic tagged you in a post.
“Wha- Oh shit.” Seokmin scrambled into a sitting position, eyes wide as he tapped the notification to open up Instagram. It took a second for the photo to load. His sister and mom asked what was wrong, several times when they got no response. “Hold on, hold on.” Seokmin said. He felt his heart beating in his chest as the little circle on the screen teased him for what felt like an eternity.
Finally, the picture popped up, and Seokmin immediately recognized his little awkward smile and bent fingertip. He scrolled to the next photo and saw one of Joshua alone, seemingly a selfie of him on his walk to Seokmin’s house. He looked down at the caption left by Joshua.
joshu_acoustic: Beautiful day for a walk!
When Seokmin saw that there was a song attached to it titled Sunday Morning – Maroon 5, Seokmin pressed the little ‘unmute button’ and was immediately hit with lyrics in English.
~ Come and rest your bones with me.Driving slow on a Sunday morningAnd I never want to leave. ~
Seokmin grinned a bit, covering his mouth with his free hand as he pulled his sister and mother’s Facetime up once again. Eunkyung was hogging the frame, leaning in with wide eyes and a concerned look that made her actually look like her older brother. He chuckled.
“Why are you grinning?” Eunkyung gasped. “What happened? Is it Joshua Hong?”
“Uh, yeah…” his grin only widened when Eunkyung squealed. “Alright, alright. I’ll send you the post he made.”
“He posted you on his socials!?” Eunkyung screamed, again being told to stop yelling by their mother. Seokmin quickly sent the post over to Eunkyung through her own Instagram account, and he waited with bated breath as she tapped off the Facetime to pull up the picture. “Let’s see, let’s see…” she hummed, tapping away. Suddenly, she squealed and Seokmin had to cover his mouth, hanging his head as his grin only widened across his face to the point where his cheeks hurt. “Oppaaaaaaaaaa. He's stunning!”
“Very handsome, nice work, hon.” His mother laughed.
“Stop, it’s not nice work,” Seokmin begged. He felt like he was floating. “It’s not like that.”
“He posted you on his socials, I beg to differ!” Eunkyung gasped. “Oh my God, stop, you two look so cuuuute! Does he have a brother?”
“No, he’s an only child.” Seokmin made sure to clarify. Eunkyung gasped again. While she was gushing to their mother on the other end, Seokmin pulled up his messages, Joshua’s in particular.
[Seokmin] (now): What’s Sunday Morning? Never heard of it.
“Oppa, this is amazing!” Eunkyung gasped. “You have to keep me updated, okay?”
“Heh, okay, okay,” Seokmin said. After a second, he blinked. “Oh! Kyungie, I need to ask you something.” His sister hummed. “What’s ‘Girl Math?”
Silence on the other end, and Seokmin wondered if she even knew what it was in the first place. Then, a high-pitched snort erupted from her lips, Eunkyung throwing her head back to laugh. “What?” he asked. “What is it? Joshua told me he heard about it from his friend’s girlfriend.”
“What did she say?”
“That if you walk while drinking a sugary coffee then the calories cancel out, so you’re basically drinking a zero-calorie drink. Something like that.” Again, Eunkyung laughed, and when their mother piped up it only made Seokmin join in.
“Who the hell told her that?!” Seokmin laughed a bit as his mother took a minute to stand on her soap box and rant. “That’s the stupidest shit I think I’ve heard all day!”
“Stop, it’s so true, though!” Eunkyung said quickly.
“No, it’s not!” Her mother gasped, and again Eunkyung began laughing. Seokmin chuckled, watching as Eunkyung continued playfully pestering her mother about ‘Girl Math’ while her mother continued not to understand the concept. “These kids and their ridiculous ideas.”
Another message popped up on his phone a few minutes after his laughter subsided, Joshua’s name sending shockwaves into his chest.
[Joshua] (now): You’re KIDDING!!!!! :O I’ll have to show it to you when I see you next! It’s my favorite song!
Seokmin smiled a bit, letting out one final chuckle. “Alright, well I’m going to go get ready for dinner.” He said. “Seungkwan will be clawing at my door in a matter of minutes otherwise.”
“Tell him I said hi.” Eunkyung said.
“Me too.” His mom agreed. “And keep us updated on your little boyfriend.”
“Mom, please.” He groaned, but she snickered when she saw him grinning. “Bye.” He said, waving to his sister before clicking the red ‘End Call’ button. He took a deep breath, watching as the Instagram photos popped up once again. He was quick to double-tap them, watching the red heart pop up and fade away just as quickly. He flung himself back on the bed, staring up at the pictures. When he scrolled to Joshua’s selfie, he chuckled. He really was handsome, head tilted to the side with a boxy smile paired with those crescent moon eyes Seokmin had grown to love.
His sister and mother had made peace, even if temporary, Joshua has just texted him with another invitation to hang out, and he didn’t have class tomorrow. Maybe Seokmin really was lucky, for the first time in a while.
As he scrolled again, to the final picture in the set of three, Seokmin’s eyes widened, the phone falling from his hands and directly onto his face. “OW!” Seokmin shouted, rubbing his nose as the phone bounced to his side. He had no time to think about the throbbing pain, however, scrambling for the phone and picking it up once again, pulling up Joshua’s post one final time and scrolling to the last picture.
The picture was of Seokmin, neck craned to the sky with his half-finished coffee in his mouth. His head was tilted slightly, eyes seeming to squint to avoid too much sun hitting them. The picture showed his – well Mingyu’s – shorts that were a bit too large on him, his free hand buried into his pocket. He must have been completely oblivious, because he didn’t even see Joshua pull out his phone to snap the picture prior to Seokmin’s attempt to take his own coffee photos.
Seokmin needed Seungkwan to reaffirm that he was in fact, lucky, if for no other reason that to stop the crazy and off-rhythm way his heart was beating. Seungkwan said he was, in fact, very lucky, before beginning to press Seokmin for more details about the walk. Seokmin had to pry him off his arm like a leech, scurrying into the kitchen to avoid the conversation altogether.
He looked back down at the picture. The picture Joshua took, on Joshua’s phone, and the picture he posted on Joshua’s social media.
The picture of him.
What ‘Girl Math’ equation would help him figure out how to go about handling this?

Back to cutting carbs again. Packed up all the stuff that tempts me and put it downstairs, because I hate to throw out food and I still have a tough time decending stairs since knee surg. Speaking of my knees, saw a dr for 2nd opinion on them, she ordered standing xrays that show *both my knees are bone on bone* 😭 Hence, the revived urgency in dropping some tonnage. I can't do what I used to do to lose it now so if I get on here and bitch I preemtively ask for your understanding. I just hope I can keep from having a "Towanda" moment. The sugar has really suppressed some rage😳 OH! and get this, I drop my laptop off at a refurb restoration place and the guy goes to plug it in and asks me if I'm the praying type, I said I am at the moment and laughed...he proceeded to start praying out loud- pleading the blood of Jeeezus over this laptop and hard drive...then he plugged her in and womp womp-nothing, it was all I could do to not laugh out loud. I guess Jeezus blood isn't effective over laptops belonging to heathens😂 Ok, back to studying for my Philosophy Ethics class...midterm in a few days, I'm scared😬

Bad idea right? Chapter 5
This chapter continues right after the last. The boys finally have sex and celebrate Ricky passing his exams and getting into college with EJ!
After EJ went back to school the normal texting resumed. They didn’t FaceTime at first to focus on their studying for midterms but they started their scheduled FaceTimes again after the exams. Ricky passed with all As. EJ did too. They decided to celebrate. Ricky figured since EJ visited him last he would go see him. He decided to spend the weekend with him. He left after school on Friday the week after midterms.
Once Ricky arrived he went straight to EJ’s dorm after texting him he was here and EJ telling him he was in his dorm. Ricky does a quick knock. EJ answers.
EJ: it’s only been like a month. Missed me?
Ricky: texting isn’t enough. I needed to see your face. I figured in person was better. We’ll get back to FaceTime next week
EJ: good. (EJ pushes Ricky to the bed)
Ricky: that was fast
EJ: we didn’t exactly get to do this the last few times we saw each other in person. We’re alone. It’s the perfect opportunity
Ricky: carry on them sweetheart
EJ and Ricky don’t just do blowjobs this time. They go for it. EJ finds his condoms in his drawer and starts with his fingers. After Ricky is wide enough he goes inside. It’s been so long since he had any kind of pleasure he unfolds within minutes. Ricky immediately repays the favor. After sex, the boys order some food and eat on the floor again. They watch glee and try not to sing as it’s getting late.
EJ: as much as I love watching this with you on FaceTime in person is by far way better
Ricky: oh yeah? Why’s that?
EJ: because you’re reactions aren’t a second off because technology and I get to do things like this (EJ places his hand on Ricky’s thigh)
Ricky: if we’re going to the random hand placing thing my hands are inching to play with that hair of yours. Which by the way looks extremity sexy already from the sex.
EJ: go ahead. I love it when you play with my hair.
Ricky attacks EJ’s hair with his hands with such force EJ immediately goes to his lap.
EJ: so much for putting my hand on your thigh. It’s a little hard to do now.
Ricky: it’s alright sweetheart. We’ll take turns.
They focus on the show again until they fall asleep. When they wake up the next day, they are spooning. Ricky being the little spoon is a surprise given it wasn’t the position they were in last night. And the computer was off so Ricky must have turned it off because EJ knows he didn’t. Ricky wakes up a few minutes later with the cutest bed head he’s ever seen
EJ: nice hair
Ricky: same to you.
EJ: did you turn the computer off last night?
Ricky: yeah after you fell asleep. I couldn’t watch our show without you.
EJ: I’ve seen it before I wouldn’t be too mad.
Ricky: still. We watch it together. Wasn’t messing with that.
EJ: you’re the best you know that?
Ricky: of course I am.
EJ: so I guess we get the day and most of tomorrow?
Ricky: yep! You wanna keep watching glee or do we have plans today?
EJ: well I wasn’t expecting you until 2 days ago so no plans made but we can come up with something on the fly. And we’ll do that today and watch glee tomorrow
Ricky: sounds good. I’m gonna shower first if that’s ok
EJ: that’s fine. You brought clothes or are you wearing mine?
Ricky: I brought some but if that’s an invitation I will gladly accept.
EJ: well I would love to see you in my clothes so yes it is.
Ricky: pick me out an outfit?
EJ: already on it baby.
Ricky: be back in a few.
The bathroom is luckily all EJ’s since he’s an RA, so Ricky just goes on in. He didn’t bring any soap since he planned on smelling like EJ. He hopes the scent can come home with him. He makes a mental note of what brands EJ uses to buy some for himself. Just to smell. He’s done pretty quickly and comes out the bathroom to find EJ shirtless looking through his clothes
Ricky: still looking for the perfect outfit for me?
EJ: No actually I’m looking for my hoodie to give you while it’s still cool enough for one.
Ricky: you should’ve brought it to sectionals or hell even when you came home for winter break
EJ: I know but I didn’t think of it then.
Ricky: it’s ok. Maybe I’ll loan you mine instead.
EJ: no I want to see you in MY hoodie
Ricky: so assertive.
EJ: you look good in my clothes and it’s always nice to see you on FaceTime but you’re never wearing anything of mine. Now you will be able too
Ricky: that’s adorable. So what am I wearing today?
EJ: it’s laying on the bed. (Pulls something out of the drawer) found it. Here.
Ricky: (catches the hoodie) is it cold today?
EJ: yeah. Wouldn’t need to give it to you now if it wasn’t.
Ricky: right. Well thanks. You gonna shower?
EJ: yeah going now be back in a few baby
EJ showers pretty quick and is dressed even quicker. They’re soon off in EJ’s car on their way wherever they decide to go. They stop for breakfast at the nearby McDonald’s before heading to a roller skating rink. The decide it’s be fun since they both had never done it before. May even be funny. After renting some roller skates they laced up and got in the rink. It was easier than they thought.
Ricky: you’re kinda good at this
EJ: you’re not so bad yourself.
After a few hours the boys were tired and decided to head back. They grabbed some Taco Bell on the way and ate in the car. After laying on the floor from tiredness, the boys decided to watch some more glee. They did just that until they went to sleep again. EJ turning it off this time before kissing Ricky on his forehead goodnight.
The next day Ricky wakes up first. He doesn’t even move because EJ’s grip is so tight he can’t. Once EJ wakes up the grip gets looser and Ricky sits up.
EJ: you good?
Ricky: yeah just a small bed need a stretch
EJ: right. Well you showering first or can I?
Ricky: go ahead.
EJ takes a longer shower today doing some overthinking. Ricky seems to be far away. He hopes he’s not doing the running away thing again. He hasn’t had Ricky very long but he isn’t ready to lose him yet. He thought they were doing good. Now he’s not so sure.
—————-
While EJ is in the shower, Ricky gets a text from Gina.
Gina: hey study buddy how did you do on your exams?
Ricky: good. I got all A’s!
Gina: that’s great. You with EJ?
Ricky: yeah coming home later why what’s up?
Gina: oh nothing just saw you leave on Friday so fast thought maybe you were off to visit him. I wasn’t trying to be weird I just wanted to know how you did on your tests as your tutor.
Ricky: I figured as much. Is that all?
Gina: yep. You have fun now. See you at rehearsal tomorrow
The wildcats were putting on a production of tinker bell this year and as soon as tickets came out last week, Ricky is 100% certain that EJ bought the first one. Soon EJ was exiting the bathroom and getting dressed. Ricky gets up to take his turn but is stopped by EJ
EJ: hey you seemed far away earlier everything ok?
Ricky: yes of course. I was just thinking about how I have to leave you later and got a little upset about it
EJ: so we’re cool?
Ricky: yes we’re cool. I hate when you leave. I hate leaving you.
EJ: I’m always a text away
Ricky: I know but it’s not the same. I can’t play with your hair or wake up in your arms.
EJ: well once you finish school this semester and hopefully get in here you can join me and never leave me side with the exception of class and work and extracurricular activities
Ricky: well I guess it’s a good thing I got my acceptance letter in
EJ: you did? Why didn’t you tell me?
Ricky: I got it in Thursday. I wanted to surprise you.
EJ: is that why you came? Other than missing my face
Ricky: yeah that and passing my midterms. Gina is one hell of a tutor.
EJ: I know. She’s so smart. I’m glad you could stay friends.
Ricky: just because we didn’t work our doesn’t mean we couldn’t be friends
EJ: I know but still.
Ricky: alright I’m gonna go shower now. Get the laptop ready.
EJ: no we’re going to celebrate with a nice lunch.
Ricky: did we sleep through breakfast?
EJ: kinda. And I meant brunch so it’s kinda both.
Ricky: sounds good.
After Ricky’s shower, he gets dressed (in EJ’s clothes again obviously) and they hit the road to this nice restaurant serving brunch. They’re too young for mimosas but they still have a good time with the food. They have a water toast to celebrate. Ricky can’t wait for the school year to be over so he can see EJ everyday. EJ is thinking the same thing.
Ricky goes home after a few more episodes of glee. They’re halfway through season 3 now and he’s gonna miss watching it next to EJ and playing with that beautiful head of hair. They don’t watch as many episodes in FaceTime as they did this weekend. They might get though 2 sometimes 3. They get back to their regular routine until it’s time for nationals which is luckily one week before opening night which means he gets to see EJ 2 weekends in a row. He’s never been more excited.

What are your thoughts on polyamorous Cleon? IF they had a third person, who would it be?
This is so unfair when you could hide behind anon and I'd risk losing 3247943534 followers from answering this question.
But……!!! I'm down for the ride! This is the type of question that allows us to expand our limits for fandom. So if it's not your thing, to the random person who saw this, keep scrolling.
OK, let's go!!! This is going to be fun. **cracking fingers**
WELL conclusion first, it won't work, in my opinion. And of course, the one person is the one and only Ada. That is canon, no point to deny that. But I also see a few fanfic writers pair up Claire/Piers, Claire/Neil, Claire/OC, Leon/Angela, Leon/OC bla bla bla…in FWB setting, and the ending will be Cleon eventually see that they are the perfect one for each other and finally confess and live happily ever after.
And the midterm drama will be coming from Claire most of the time, how she was jealous of Ada having Leon in her palms. I guess it's familiar for women to feel related to this, after all, every rom-com movie practically raised us to be this way. Now, I'm not going to elaborate on Feminism or judge any writers, just saying I don't see Claire or Ada to be the jealous type.
There are enough female role models that tell us when you have enough self-love and confidence, you don't need a man. You don't need to fight another woman for a man's attention or approval. It's a hard goal to achieve and requires experience to see that. I think both Claire and Ada have that kind of mindset.
OG Leon on the other hand, is a complete mess. I've mentioned previously how I love pathetic men, and I want to clarify it's not pathetic from the start, is time after time getting rejected and failing, so he's losing hope.
He's such a dog to me, which means, a good boy and an obedient soldier. He wouldn't know what to do without a leash on his neck. I'm talking about his love life and his career. (He was forced to join, still, putting in all of the hard work and in Vendetta, he's being all cynical but didn't quit.)And when I think about him, it's always that lyrics from the F+M song:
"And with one kiss, you inspired a fire of devotion that lasts for 20 years. what kind of man loves like this."
Capcom wanted to make him a sassy womanizer in OG4, but it didn't work, bc there are more games of Leon chasing after Ada, and RE6 still exists. (I don't read Leon/Reader fics and will never do self-insert in fandom but I imagine the majority of straight women want him to be Jerry Maguire.) I even saw a joke about how Leon flirts with all the other women cuz that's his coping mechanism of being heartbroken by Ada. So if anything jealous is involved, it must be coming from him.
He's such a pleaser/giver. Again with the dog metaphor, if there's a polyamorous situation, it's not started by him. He just accepts in a passive-aggressive way and fights for attention. I think in my opinion, Ada and Claire would quickly acknowledge each other in silent agreement and just go on with their lives while Leon got caught in his own feelings of "how can I make her choose me" and "Why can't I be the only one", maybe in his good days he be like "I don't deserve this" and go out to do some "woman hunting" to boost his ego, but he always comes crawling back to his masters.
He simply cannot let go, so he will suffer in this situation. If you're like me, enjoy seeing men drowning in sorrows, then grab a seat beside me and laugh.
I only talk about OG Leon here because in remake 4 Leon suddenly grows a brain and decides to move on from Ada and dropping bombs to the a3on cult. So I'm really looking forward to Death Island, not for Cleon content, just wondering if DI Leon follows the OG setting or remake setting. I think it will change my future concept of Cleon.
Thank you for sending this ask and to anyone who read this, lmao let me know your thoughts in the comment, or send me another anon ask if you're not comfortable.

Hello good morning/evening mare! So I have a kinda funny story about cs and a past English class.
So like one and a half years ago when I took creative writing for english, around the midterm, our teacher gave us the rubric/info about our final for the course —a choice written project that could be like a short story, a chapter of a long story, an album etc. and I chose to do a small poetry book!
The reason she gave us that rubric so early was because we had a bit over a month to work on it on our time/in class when had free time. This was a big project so she expected us to have like good time management and space it out properly. Now. Did I have good time management? No. Not at all.
You see I actually ended up procrastinating the WHOLE poetry book until like the last 3 or 2 days before it was due. I had to write 12 poems I think so I just spent what felt like 48hr In front of my computer screen trying to wring out my brain for all the creative juices it could possibly have.
While I did pretty good job on the whole, there was just one poem slot that I couldn’t think of how to write. So I decided to turn to my personal written work to just plagiarize off of a poem I wrote before the course (technically this was not allowed but how is she gonna know??).
The poem i chose? It was a cs!ranboo poem lol.
Specifically it was one using a metaphor of cs!ranboo’s emotional turmoil (I’m so sorry there’s probably a better way to phrase that) and a sailor at sea during a bad storm. I was originally planning on finishing it and layering it on top of a fan art I drew of the poem and giving the finished piece to you as cs fanart. While I did finish the art and I actually sent it to you on an old ask, I never quite finished the poem.
So anyways to wrap up the story, I took that cs poem and quickly finished it in a way that made it more self contained than it being my fanfic of another Minecraft fanfic though I kept the title of the poem as a cs reference!
While my teacher didn’t grade each poem individually, I got full marks for the entire project so I guess she’s a secret cs fan now too lol.
I would quite like to share the finished poem with you, however, given the subject matter of cs!ranboo the poem could be kind of angsty? dreary? for lack of better word. So if you don’t want to read stuff like that it’s cool too
Ok that was kinda long, I hope uh that there’s a really nice flower or plant coming along your way today, bye!
hi anon, i hope you know that this ask brightened my day so much. it actually means the entire world to me that someone can find inspiration from my writing to create their own beautiful works; i would love to read this poem if you are willing to share it. thank you for telling me all of this and congratulations on getting full marks on the project!!! seriously such a lovely thing to hear as a fic writer.

And just after I had finished the assignment I was talking about in my last post, life got Busy. This is partially my own fault. I joined the drama society and decided to be in a showcase. What is not my fault is that rehearsal week had two midterms and a really big assignment (that I still did ok in! I got 100% on one of the midterms!), and it went on from there. It was really fun though! I loved it.
Other than that:
I finally had chemistry labs! Well I had my last one yesterday, which means I get to spend study week writing the report for it. Yay. Not. I guess it doubles as revision for that topic.
One of the other societies I joined got to tour a plant-climate lab where they study plant growth and metabolism under different climatic conditions! It's really cool! I now have this lab on my list for places I might eventually want to do research.
In other botanical news, College had a Christmas market with college groups and individuals selling handmade things. The college's urban garden had a stall with seeds so I picked some up. I talked to a 4th year botany student who was trying to sell me hard on taking botany as a specialisation. It's on my list of options so I'm glad she likes it.
Exams are almost upon us! There were still (some) classes this week, next week is study week to give us some time for revision. (It's not enough. It's never enough. Fortunately, I've done well enough in my continuous assessment to have some buffer.)
I'm getting way too stressed out about marks, even though i'm objectively doing all right, but I'm just too perfectionist for my own good. Seriously. It's not helpful that all my stuff is graded by a tired postgrad student who isn't bothered writing a lot of feedback.
