Another relatively quiet night for the FIRST Stop volunteers, paramedics and police at Reading Minster last night. We helped a handful of people but I think most were choosing to stay indoors, or inside the pubs and clubs, because it was so cold and miserable outside. Sanctuary and the Street Pastors were pretty quiet too. We had mince pies and hot chocolate and chatted to each other and the few people who did wander in (and I got my FIRST Stop jumper!). Towards the end of the night it started to sleet and we were all feeling the cold in our bones. It was a nice vibe all evening and I worked with some lovely people, plus the Christmas tree decorated by John Lewis was beautiful to look at.
