Sgdhf hands down one of the funniest birthday wishes I've ever gotten. What if Jack’s in a coma because the egos take so much energy from him

Like Jackie and Marvin and Henrik were no big deal. He was trying to figure out this strange power he has and they made him so happy, it was like he had his own little family all of a sudden. He loves them a lot. And he noticed, of course, that creating them kind of took some energy out of him, and sometimes when Jackie or Marvin used a lot of magic all at once it seemed to make him tired too, but it wasn’t a big deal. It was worth it. They were worth it.

But there’s Anti after that, and Anti - Anti is energy, Anti is power, and Jack doesn’t even get to choose to create him, it just sort of happens, and he wakes up so tired he can’t move, bleeding from the throat. He’s bed-ridden for three weeks. And the problem is that the slightest sickness or disappearance from him makes the audience start talking about Anti again, and then Anti grows more powerful, and Jack becomes so fucking weak -

He makes Chase, his buddy, his friend. He didn’t mean for the suicide attempt to happen, but sometimes characters take so much life out of him it’s like he isn’t even in control anymore. And it’s exhausting, but once it’s done, things are easier. On the rare days Jack can’t work, Chase steps in and helps. Anti quiets down for some time. Jack’s more tired than he used to be, but it’s okay. Marvin and Jackie learn to only expend the bare minimum of magic and things work out okay.

He realizes with some distress that it would be ill-advised to create Jameson Jackson. He loves that little character, but he doesn’t think he has the strength. He never posts the video he made for him. Jamie doesn’t come to be, but Jack has enough energy to manage, so everything’s okay.

Until Anti comes back.

Jackie tries to protect him - fights him and loses, using all his super-powers to try and keep Jack safe. Exhausting. Marvin too faces off with the glitch, summoning waves of proud magic, none of it enough to stop Anti. Jack vomits, dizzy and ill. Anti appears.

His power grows and grows with every minute he spends on-screen. Jack faints and passes out, his heart rate slowing and slowing and slowing, and it’s Chase who hauls him to the hospital, where life support machines keep him alive as Anti escapes, playing with a little flash drive, where a video titled “Dapper Jack” lies in wait, uncorrupted by glitches or blood.

Halloween nearly kills Jack.

And now - well, now he sleeps. The others watch, and wait, and hope, but they don’t know what they’re hoping for. They can’t help but feel they’re the cause of this, draining his life without intent, without control. Jameson Jackson, in particular, understands that Mr. Jack would be better off if he were not alive.

Maybe for Jack to wake up, something has to change - no more magic, no more power, no more glitches. Or maybe that isn’t even enough anymore. There’s too much life given and not enough left for himself. Maybe, for Jack to wake up, one of them has to die.

When he was still young and uncorrupted his wings had beautiful feathers that shimmered in gold and bronze. He was bright, the feathers were soft and well-cared for. All of his siblings had such wings, but his were brighter still, and they were an object of pride to him. 

After Melkor corrupted him however and he moved to Utumno, their shine dulled and gradually his feathers started to fall off. The shape and form shifted and changed, and in the end he had big bat-like wings just like his Master - The true proof of his corruption.

If by ‘larder’ you mean ‘dungeons’, then he might occassionally snack on an elf now and then. He isn’t too fond of human flesh - they taste of decay and their fëar aren’t bright enough to please him. He prefers noldorin flesh and fëar, but his FAVOURITE meal are other maiar. Their songs sustain him and taste delicious

Recently read "Brownsville" a graphic novel by Arthur Kleid. It mostly focuses are the Brownsville Boys particularly Albert Tannenbaum. Lepke gets a bunch a panels while Charlie, Meyer, and Benny (oddly enough) only get like 2 to 3 pages tops, and so it leaves out the Greenberg murder and Benny subsequent trial.
