[One Word Prompts]

August Jonathan Walker senses fear the way sharks do. It is like a Sixth Sense, like electricity, a pulse. He does not have to see Debruuk to know the Norwegian is scared shitless. 

He approaches the scientist’s cell. “Just look at you.” He murmurs darkly. Debruuk looks up, startled, but not surprised. He knew he was not alone. But the fear that comes into his eyes when he sees August gives the American intense gratification. His Sixth Sense picks up on Debruuk’s utter terror.  “N-no.. You’re dead.” Debruuk sputters. “Who told you that. Did Hunt come to gloat?” August pulls up a chair and sits in front of Debruuk’s cell. He is very aware of how banged up he looks. 

“That surprises me nothing. Hunt did strike me as the person to have to proclaim it to someone. And I guess you can’t tattle.” August smirks. His burned skin pulls taut and aches.

“Do you know who got you here?” He asks. “Hunt, who else?” Debruuk scoffs. “Nonsense, Hunt would have never been able to find you if it wasn’t for me.” August purrs. He senses another wave of abject fear from Debruuk. “But you had to be so stupid to turn up at my wive’s home. And let me tell you something.” August arches forward, looking Debruuk into his pale watery eyes. “I will come back from hell to protect that woman. You posed a risk and you had outlived your usefulness. I let Hunt find you. And know this, if you ever get released, I will kill you.” 

August rises and leaves. He has a certain place to be. A certain woman to protect.

My dream house is actually an apartment, because I’m terrified of height, but I do love having a balcony. It doesn’t need to be big, as long as it has a state of the art kitchen, some serious views, and a window bench!

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

- I’m on my phone doing this and I can’t get the exact wording, but it is a scene in my Walter story patience. when he is telling the reader how she will never make herself feel as good as he does cause she won’t take the time and she doesn’t have the width or the right angle.

I don’t know why I’m so proud of it, I think it’s because THAT piece (in my writing at least) showed a really dominant Walter and I am all for it! He is typically portrayed as someone on the go, and to finally be able to take his time and feel was amazing.

I dunno. I liked it lol!
