The hits keep coming from Cleveland’s Noble Beast Brewing. Great new IPA that brings bright and vibrant tropical flavor notes, dances on the palate with a subdued but satisfying bitterness and finishes dry. Pretty creative label design on this one as well, looking forward to the next packaged release!

Half way through the ghost pepper. I'm sweating a little and my mouth is burning, but overall not bad. It does have a great toasted hot pepper flavour. #beer #drinkbeermadehere #drinkbeermadehereohio #ohioontap #pepperbeer #chilibeer #spicy #ittasteslikeburning #endorphins #ghostpepper #scorpionpepper #carolinareaper #workingclass #ipa #baddecisions #craft #craftnotcrap #craftbeerlover (at Working Class Brewery) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChvjROrJU9p/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I know this is the time of year for Marzens and pumpkin beers, but c’mon, you just cannot beat a big, juicy, bright, soft and smooth drinking hazy no matter what the calendar says! Gotta drink these fresh, right? I’ll be back to malty lagers tomorrow.

You just can’t beat having fresh, I mean super fresh packaged one day ago, world class beer delivered to your doorstep. Got three of my favorite beers from the folks at Fat Heads dropped off recently. They make one of the best American Hefeweizens out there in Goggle Fogger. And of course their hoppy stuff is stellar, a really nice crowler of Touch of Green, a fresh hop IPA, and 6-pack of Benjamin Danklin, a bold, bitter, in your face dank delight. Hang in there and KEEP DRINKING LOCAL!

I love a well made coffee pale ale, what a cool and underrated style. The best qualities of light, roasty coffee and bright, citrusy hop goodness meet in Perfect Strangers from The Brew Kettle. Shake hands with this beautifully balanced, super smooth brew with just the right touch of coffee treatment.

First trip to Akron’s Akronym Brewing in awhile and I was super pleased with all three beers I tried. The beautiful, creamy, side-pull pour of Czech 123 pilsner (pictured at top) was probably my favorite. You can't go wrong with a smooth-drinking, sessionable lager with a crisp, easy, herbal bitterness. But their smoked porter, Smoke Showing, and NEIPA, Henry, were also excellent takes on sometimes difficult to nail styles. Smoke Showing had just the right balance of earthy smoke with roasty chocolate notes. And Henry featured low bitterness and juicy, tropical flavors without being at all sweet or cloying. Cheers to the brewers over at Akronym, they’re killing it, better beers every time I visit!

Nice untraditional take on a traditional German wheat beer by the folks at Great Lakes Brewing. The additions of chocolate, orange and coffee, all subtle and balanced, create a pleasantly complex yet smooth drinking, malty delight.

Delicious, juicy, supremely drinkable hazy pale ales on tap at Crooked Pecker Brewing in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This brewery is really in its infancy, having opened just a few months ago, but head brewer Erik Stewart (pictured) is already making some very nice, balanced beers. Looking forward to seeing them grow.

Terrific, straightforward, smooth and crushable, wonderfully light but flavorful, sporting prickly, bright, crisp hops notes and a clean malt profile, think Budweiser (except awesome) this all-Ohio ingredient lager from Wolf’s Ridge in Columbus is exactly what I needed on a sunny spring afternoon.
