You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to grab something from the car."

You head out, leaving Lewis alone in front of your phone's camera. He looks around, slightly bewildered.

"What? Y/N who’s on the phone? Uh, hey there. I guess I'm being watched. So... how's everyone doing? Good? Cool. Uh, any Mercedes fans here?" He starts talking about his day and how Roscoe is doing, trying to entertain the 'audience'. "Alright, she'll be back any minute now... right?"

Max

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to take out the trash."

Max raises an eyebrow as you walk away. He looks at the phone, unsure of what to say.

"Huh? Um, okay. This is weird. Hi, everyone….I guess…..Y/N what is this?! Who’s on the phone? So…what do we do now? Should I... talk about racing? Or... maybe I could just sit here…?" He awkwardly shuffles in his seat, checking his watch. "How long does it take to throw out the trash? Y/N come back! I don’t know what to say or do!"

Lando

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to get a drink from the kitchen."

Lando grins as you walk away, immediately knowing the TikTok trend. He leans in closer to the camera.

"Hey, TikTok! I was wondering when Y/N was going to do this trend on me! What have you guys been up to? Should I prank her back? Give me some ideas in the comments!" He starts to look around, trying to find something to do. "Should I play some games on my computer or maybe I'll hide and jump out when she gets back?"

Oscar

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to get my food."

Oscar blinks, looking at the phone and then at the door you just walked towards. He frowns slightly.

"Huh? What….okay? Uh, hi? I guess you guys are going to watch me eat my breakfast…Not sure what I'm supposed to do here. Should I be saying something interesting?" He scratches his head, and moves his food around, clearly uncomfortable. "So, did you guys have breakfast yet? I hope you did, breakfast is important….uhhh yea. Y/N!! Babe!! Come back!! I don’t know what to do!!"

Charles

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to take a call."

Charles watches you leave, then looks at the phone, confused but trying to be polite.

"Uh? Wait what? Hello, everyone. I guess your...on watch duty?" He laughs nervously. "This feels strange. Maybe I should sing a song? Or talk about Ferrari? Oh, I know, I'll play some music on my piano!" He moves towards the piano, but then hesitates. "Wait, how long is this call going to be? Y/N! Baby!!"

Carlos

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to make a smoothie."

Carlos looks at the camera, then at the direction you went, raising an eyebrow.

“What is this? Hello? Anyone there? Who were you talking to? Y/N?! Uhhhh hi… Wait, a smoothie? Bebe make me one too please! Okay, hi everyone. This is Carlos, just here... being watched?" He starts looking around, picking up random items on the table. "So, let me show you my favorite things on this table. This is a cool pen, and this is... a coaster. Fascinating, right?" He chuckles, shaking his head. "This is so weird. How long does making a smoothie take anyway?"

Sebastian

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to water the plants."

Sebastian gives you a puzzled look as you leave and then turns to the camera, smiling politely.

"What?! Y/N what is this? Hello? Hello? Anywhere there? I’m confused… Y/N!! Who were you talking too? Honey? … Um, hello everyone… I guess I'm under surveillance now." He chuckles. "So, while she's watering the plants, let's talk about... sustainability! Did you know you can make your own compost at home? It's really simple and great for your garden." He starts explaining the process, gesturing enthusiastically. "I hope she comes back soon because I might run out of eco-friendly tips! Oh wait!! I know! Let me show you my bees!!"

Jenson

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to grab the mail."

Jenson watches you leave with a bemused smile, then looks at the phone.

"Ummm what?! Babe? Y/N? Hello? Uhhh..hey there. So, I guess I need to be watched for a minute. You guys are in babysitting duty? Let’s see... what can I do to entertain you?" He glances around and spots his dogs. "Hey, meet my dogs! Come here babies!." He tries to get their attention but Bentley and Rouge ignore him, while Storm walks up to him, just to sit and stare at him. "Well, that didn’t go as planned. I guess they’re tired from playing this morning. Oh well, maybe next time! Isn’t that right Storm." he says putting down the camera.

Daniel

You: "Hey guys, can you watch my boyfriend for a sec? I need to fix something in the bathroom."

Daniel immediately grins and laughs as you walk away, sensing a prank.

“Huh? Babe? What? Oh wait! It’s that TikTok trend!! Alright, what’s up TikTok, what's going on? He starts making funny faces at the camera and then leans in closer. "I have no idea what to talk about. This is so stupid and awkward.” He says bursting out laughing. He keeps glancing towards the bathroom, barely containing his laughter. "Babe come back!!"

It had been nearly five months since they started acting distant to me.

I don’t know why.

We were so good all together

It was like we completed each other

But recently they’ve really started to distance themselves and ignore me.

Constantly say they have meetings and leave home when I know they don’t drive I’m in contact with their teammates

Were they both cheating on me?

I woke up in our shared bed with nobody by my side.

I went on about my day realising they both had left for some sort of meeting with their respective teams

They returned home late at night completely wasted

“Where were you two? I’ve been worried sick! I called you both so many times, why didn’t you guys pick up?” I questioned

“Oh shut up mom.” Was all Lando said before they both left to go to bed

The next day was one I would usually be excited for but maybe not this year

My birthday

I would usually celebrate it with my two boyfriends but they seem to not want to spend time with me at all

I walked into the kitchen to see them scrolling on Charles’s giggling and whispering to Lando about something. They would do that with me too but I guess not anymore.

“Hey guys, what’s for breakfast?” I asked them seeing they had made their breakfast already

“Oh..we didn’t make you any. We thought you would do it yourself” Charles said

I sighed and went upstairs to get ready, my appetite knocked out by his words

I got dressed and left the house watching them not care

I hung out around Monaco since I had no friends here, just Charles and Lando

It started raining and I was freezing on my way back to our apartment. As I walked in I found them on their game not bothering to focus on anything but that and each other

“Hey I’m back” I announced as best as I could in my feverish voice due to the intense shivering

How did we not realise we were hurting our dearest so much?

We were ignoring her as we were going to propose to her and knew Lando wouldn’t keep his mouth shut if he started talking

We were so stressed about getting the perfect rings that we completely neglected y/n

Me and Lando looked at each other and chased after her to the bedroom to see her packing her things

“Cheri please don’t leave us we apologise for our horrible behaviour” I begged

“We were working on something very important and in that stress we completely neglected we’re extremely sorry” Lando said

“I don’t care for your explanations. My state of mind has not been good thanks to you two and I refuse to worsen it. I’m leaving and that’s final” she said

All our hearts were breaking as she said this. We ruined a beautiful relationship because we cared about materialistic things over our actual love for each other.

Now there was nothing we could do anymore.

A few months pass like a blur, everything happening being too insignificant. Other than you slowly realising you’re getting over Charles, blocking him on your social media and throwing out the bag of his photos.

You also realise you’re growing closer to Arthur, and definitely more fond of him. 

You also know dating Arthur would be a huge risk, since that would mean having to see Charles again, which isn’t the most ideal situation you want to be in.

It was one of those days where Arthur and you planned to go out. He brings you out occasionally, for the fun of it, and in the hopes you get over Charles. You got over Charles long ago, but you still want to go out with Arthur.

Arthur and you walk into the arcade. 

“I loved this place as a kid.” You say.

He chuckles and agrees with you.

You smile back. Well you’ve definitely been smiling more, there’s been more laughter too. 

You two have a blast playing in the arcade, you also catch yourself staring for a bit too long at Arthur sometimes. You snap out of it quick enough. 

He’s definitely a lot better than you at these arcade games, which would usually piss you off but not with Arthur, who could get mad at Arthur? That’s what you told yourself at least.

“I’m so much better than you.” Arthur playfully scoffs.

“Okay. I get it. I suck.” You pout.

“Hey! I didn’t mean it like that!” He places heavy emphasis on ‘that’.

“Sure you didn’t!” You scoff.

“I did not.” 

“Sure.”

“Really!”

“Mhm.”

“You’re making me look like a villain.”

“You are.”

“Shut up.”

Both of you have a lot more fun (a lot), you don’t think it could get better than this. You don’t think you’ve had a better relationship with anyone than with Arthur. You love it so much. You feel so treasured and respected.

A few hours pass and it’s 7pm by now, you two lost track of time a few hours ago but who cares.

Arthur’s hand is over your shoulder as both of you walk back to where his car is parked. 

It takes you a few seconds too late to realise you have been staring into his eyes and how the setting sun made them glow.

He teases, “Are my eyes pretty?” 

You would string together some bullshit answer with more banter inside but something different takes over this time.

“Yea.” You say, the words lacking any form of playfulness.

Arthur smiles, unsure of how to respond, “Really?”

“Yes.” You say. You feel a blush creep up your face.

You sigh, “This sucks. I don’t know what I’m feeling.”

“Don’t tell me you’re falling in love with Charles again.” Arthur scoffs.

You chuckle. It’s almost adorable being this oblivious.

“No idiot.” You sigh.

“Then what?” He’s still pretty oblivious.

“It’s you. I’m falling in love… with you.” You admit, holding your breath as you await his response.

“Oh.” Arthur gets the hit of realisation, “That’s cool.”

That’s it?

“Right.” You reply.

The silence between you two gets more awkward as both of you get into the car. The tension in the car can be sliced with a knife.

He buckles his seatbelt and something takes over you. You can’t hide this anymore.

You lean over to his side of the car and plant a kiss on his cheek. Arthur, to your extreme surprise, does not flinch. 

His face just blushes slightly pink.

“Don’t just do that.” He says as he starts the car.

What? 

Now it felt like you were the oblivious one.

“Just because you said you love me.” He chuckles.

You’re very confused but you let out a soft chuckle.

“Sorry. Just felt right… I guess. Hope it wasn’t awkward or anything. I just-” You ramble.

“It’s alright.” He says and smiles at you.

You give him a blank stare back and he lets out soft laughs.

He leans over to you and plants a kiss on your forehead which makes your face turn extremely red.

“So… does that answer it?” He teases again.

“Yea… hell yea.” You say.

“I love you.” He says to you.

“Love you too.” You say back.

Goddammit.

You fell in love again.

You felt like kicking your feet and giggling endlessly, but of course you kept it all in.

He leads you into his apartment, which is where you decided to stay that night.

You sit on his couch, he sits next to you and lays his head on your shoulder. Both of you are sitting in silence.

“It’s been hard. Right.” You confess.

“Mhm. It has.” He smiles at you.

“It’s been forever I think, since I saw you maybe.” You confess more.

“No way.” He drags the words, “I fell in love when you trusted me enough to talk to me about Charles.”

“Weird but okay.” You joke.

“Don’t be like that.” 

“Sorry.” You smile, “I love you… since… I don’t know, when I trusted you enough to tell you about Charles.”

His smile grows wider and that gives you butterflies in your stomach. They flap and flutter around, you struggle to contain your feelings.

The blush freely flows up into your face and Arthur leans in to kiss you, not a small peck, a full on kiss. A perfect full on kiss.

It is finally time to meet Arthur’s family… again. He holds your arm and walks with you into the family function. 

To absolutely no one’s surprise, the first person you run into is Charles. He sits at the other side of the table, taking shots from a glass when he notices you. He gives you a glance and a slight nod.

You take a deep breath and nod back. 

His stare means a lot. You recognise that gaze, the one that told you he fell in love with you and the one which tells you that he’s still in love with you.

But you know you’re done with him and he knows that too, so he’ll keep his distance from you.

You and Arthur meet the rest of the family… well most of them already know you so there’s not much to introduce.

Both of you sit on a bench outside on the balcony. 

“I love you.” He says.

“I love you too.” You say back before leaning in ever so slightly and kissing him on the lips.

He kisses back.

You knew love would disappear within weeks, like a moment in time or gone with the wind. You also knew Arthur was different, because he loved you for who you were, not for anything else.

Everything started falling apart when Charles changed, becoming some cold and distant boyfriend.

Everything fell apart when Arthur talked to you about your problems.

Everything was gone when Charles walked out, leaving a giant hole in your heart.

You found someone left for you when no one else was, that was Arthur.

Everything became new again when Arthur made you feel a new sense of comfort.

Arthur became everything to you when you fell in love with him.

Now you don’t have to change anything about yourself to be with Arthur.

Charles Leclerc x Reader

The summer heat was beginning to get to you, and you decided to don a pair of palazzo pants and a crop top as you got dressed for your boyfriend’s day out at the golf country club with his friends. Golf really was never your thing, and honestly, it wasn’t Charles’ favorite either, but hey, it made for a good excuse to spend time with friends and family.  

Charles steps out of your shared bedroom in a pristine cream polo and a pair of khaki shorts, his favorite sunglasses hanging from the unbuttoned collar of his shirt. “Y/n?”

You turn toward him as you finish gulping down your glass of water. “Ready to go?”

He nods and moves to grab the keys from the bowl on the counter. 

"Wait,"  you stop him. Rushing into the bedroom, you return with your favorite sunscreen. Charles stands still as you apply it all over his face, knowing better than to mess with you and your essential skin-caring steps. "Okay,"  you breathe. “All done. Now we can go.”

…

Arriving at the venue, you’re immediately greeted by a crowd of photographers and fans. They’d somehow managed to track down the drivers’ whereabouts– Again. Oh well, not much you could do about it now.  

Charles gently grabs your hands and helps you out of his car, pressing his lips to your knuckles in a show of open affection, giving the crowd something to watch and making you blush. Some of the girls in the crowd “oohed” and “aahed” and swooned at the action. 

 Carlos greets you at the entrance of the golfing grounds, Rebecca on his arm. She pulls you off your own boyfriend’s arm and tugs you toward where Kika is seated, a quaint little corner overlooking the grounds where you’d be able to watch over the boys. 

Grabbing one of the refreshing drinks set on the little table, you go to take a sip, when suddenly, you’re cut off by the ever-peppy Kika.

 “Soooooo, how are things going with Loverboy?” You sputter on your drinks, patting yourself on the head a couple of times out of habit.  

“Whatever do you mean?” you smirk back at her playfully. “I should be asking you girls the same thing. I’ve been seeing a lot of things on socials.” 

Now it’s their turn to blush.  

“Damn, you really didn’t have to throw that on us like that,"  replies Kika. She and Becca share about how their men have been making sure to give them the princess treatment, and you exhale internally—whew, that was a quick save. Lando latches onto Carlos as a security blanket and Carlos likes having him around and actually is able to shut down his red mist anger in the car when it comes to Lando. apart from that they're mostly relying on the bromance format of friendship that you can see in most of the grid.

so while if Lando and Oscar had chosen to do the bromance/playing gay thing then sure I'd find it cute and ship it but like. the fact that Oscar is carrying around this sweet years-long sort of crush/fanboy thing about Lando and Lando has openly said that Oscar helps him be reminded to just be himself and be calm... like that is so sweet?? they're both so bashful about physically touching but they have this bond of being basically the same age and both being introverts.

honestly anon there's a heavy sprinkling of this that I disagree with and I think I've covered why with the other asks. and I do not engage in war of the rpfs bc none of these ships are "real". and as someone who ships carlando I do have to say that there's at least some decent amount of us who don't do the larrying shit. and that Netflix/DTS have as much a role to play in false narratives as "fangirls". they could easily decide to focus more realistically on the sport but they're choosing to appeal to fans with extreme biases.

wellll, I have to disagree bc Carlos being called Ferrari's best strategist by fans means that he clearly is able to ignore team orders and is allowed to not be "perfect". honestly I think Carlos' ballsiness and inability to play second to anyone has clearly never served him poorly w Ferrari ?? this is a team very immersed in traditional patriarchal culture and for all that they are the il Predestinato brand in this era, Sainz Sr said this last season that the car had Carlos' input and customization. so idk I feel like Carlos using aggression and decision would if anything be appreciated by Ferrari. (but I do think the hardballing by his dad with the Audi interest was a step too far for them - even though it sounds more and more like the decision to not renew Carlos was already on the table long before that)

whereas I think that very culture is why Charles is both subjected to and "upheld" by it. there's a difference between a brand like Ferrari deciding to hang your banners over the parapets and them actually having your best interests as a driver at heart. I can't find it now but there was a great post about Charles' frenetic and often erratic driving style getting in the way of his obvious skill and talent. idk I feel like if I was smarter I could draw up a commentary on Charles seeing his name and his face and his successes being spread across everything Ferrari and an almost impotence from fans assigning him such unrealistic idolatry and power - while also assuming an untouchable quality that ends up making him appear weak and in need of constant defending, even from his teammates and Ferrari itself.

top 5 WORST MOVIES EVER!!!

Uh oh um. So I gotta say that I'm not that much of a cinephile or a hater when it comes to movies because I watch the vast majority of them with friends and that improves my watching experience greatly. That being said I think I do have 5 movies that I have beef with (might be controversial)

1. Starting off with BATTLE ROYALE (2000) I don't care this movie sucks and I have a personal vendetta against it. I was 15 years old, watching and overanalysing squid game because I liked it, enjoying life, when my dad came to me and started full on SHITTING on the squid and saying how it SUCKS BALLS AND ASS and that it's a CHEAP COPY OF BATTLE ROYALE and that he's disappointed in me because I'm such a smart girl and I'm enjoying such a trash show. So I was really angry because wtf he tore my hyperfixation apart and so I watched battle royale out of spite and God......... I did not enjoy it in the slightest and I still harvest nothing but negative feelings towards it. From what I can remember the characters were Nothing, the action was disappointing, the point was made 10 minutes in and the rest was filled with nonsense. I don't care for the themes of this movie and I don't want to make sense of them. I was just angry at my dad for saying I'm stupid and then directing me to a movie that doesn't even have a single character with a compelling motivation that i care about and shoves relationship talk in the middle without it being rewarding in the slightest.

2. Queen Margot 1994. Sorry I'm trying to enjoy the story without incest porn in the middle but this movie doesn't let me

3. Thor the dark world... Thor is my favourite avenger and ragnarok is my favourite mcu movie so I don't like the direction of this one very much. I just think that Thor and Jane don't work in the first two movies and basing Thors entire motivation on her when the relationship is not very compelling in the first place is not a good recipe for a movie. Loki felt much more like the main character and I already forgot who the villain and what the plot was. Ragnarok is the only good Thor movie 😔

4. Ummmm red white and royal blue??? Idk I went into it thinking it would be at least funny but it was so shallow and cliche and had the most overused gay archetypes and character arcs and the politics were funny in how they sucked and the main couple just reminded me of Charles and Navarre for some reason and it made me very sad and angry because they had NO CHEMISTRY WHATSOEVER!!!! And. Yea. That's it I guess

5. Ok this is gonna be veryyyy controversial but I did not like the ragad movie at all for the simple reason that I do not see how ragad can be performed in a different medium. Stoppard may have directed it but Roth and Oldmas performances were so unenthusiastic and it lacked what made the actual play so great. I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something but I really don't like this movie and this letterboxd review really sums it up for me

as much as i’m sick of the “saint diana” narrative, i’m also beginning to be sick of whatever narrative charles diehards seem to be propagating. as you said, there’s a lot of nuance in the story and i can’t believe that, after the multiple tv/movie portrayals of this same story along with the never-ending conversations (which i am aware i am ironically still adding to), people still don’t get that it is just what it is. for example, charles or his friends or spin doctors or whoever tried to put charles’s side of the story out there by saying that diana’s mood swings and eating disorder made charles depressed and suicidal. While I can be like, oh that makes me sick af as if charles isn’t a grown ass man I can’t believe he’s trying to deflect blame by putting it all on his young wife, I also can acknowledge that charles struggled with his mental health too, but also not use that as an excuse to not think that he was a weak man at least with regards to how he dealt with that particular situation. at the end of the day, they’re just an ill-matched couple. and yes there’s also the huge age difference, which is def a factor but i also think it’s simplistic to portray charles as some predator. we have to see it through the lens of societal factors at play. fact is, in the past, it was more common for women to marry at a young age to much older men. i think even diana’s mother got married at 18 to diana’s father who was in his 30s. even my own grandmother married young and my mother met my father when she was a teenager and he was in his late twenties. while i think, there are definitely negative outcomes from practices that used to be common (which is why society evolves), it’s not accurate to portray it as though charles is some predator in the same league as, say, andrew for example. I think a lot of the gen z woke mob (i’m not sure if that is an accurate description of the demographic i am referring to but that’s my impression of who they are??) who buy into “rebel diana” actually see her too as a me-too victim. idk, but anyway my point is, as you said, nuance. even with regards to the issue of charles being a good or bad parent. as much as i hate to give any credence to anything harry says, it makes me roll my eyes when charles’ diehards pull out pictures of him being affectionate to harry in public as if that will prove that’s he’s a good father. i’m not saying he’s a bad father too, but he definitely wasn’t perfect or just a victim of evil PR machinations by one manipulative woman. even william had some grievances about charles’s parenting. although i’m probably just guessing on william’s part since he never explicitly says it. (but really what child doesn’t have grievances about their parents). the seeming obsession with family time is probably william trying to heal some childhood wound lmao (not that it should be used as an excuse to criticisms about their work ethic lol). the only difference i suppose with william & harry is that william understands the nuance more so has chosen to forgive.

I was actually listening to a the crown podcast (yea i know i’m sorry i still watch that show 😬) and peter morgan says something along the lines of how he still hasn’t lost interest because the relationship dynamics and all that in the family, etc. still keeps him fascinated. while i’m not 100% down with how things are portrayed on the crown, i lowkey understand him because i won’t be a hypocrite, i admit that yes the drama does keep me interested. and you know what keeps it interesting? the nuances.
