I dreamed of the places I’ve been with you (Sam Winchester x female reader)
You have a dirty dream about Sam while the two of you are stuck in the Impala, and Sam has a… reaction to it.
Tumblr media
Read it on AO3
Rated E. 4.1k words. Stuck in the Impala. Wet dreams. Inappropriate boners. Dirty talk. Mutual masturbation. Sammy being the sweetest dork.
Tumblr media
“How does he keep doing that?” you sigh, a touch of admiration in your voice.
Sam chuckles. “I don’t think he can help it, honestly.”
You cross your arms over the back of the Impala’s front seat, put your chin on your hands. “They just keep throwing themselves at him,” you say.
Sam nods. “Yup,” he says. “Welcome to my life.”
Both of you keep watching as Dean talks to the single mom you just saved from a ghoul a few hours earlier. She's hot, there's no denying it, and Dean has been flirting shamelessly with her from second one. Now that she's out of immediate danger, she's flirting back.
Sam sits in the passenger seat of Dean’s car, the Impala, you in the back while you marvel at them, watching them like zoo animals where they are standing a few feet away from the car.
Just then, the hot mom’s hand lands on Dean’s arm in an oh-so-casual gesture.
“Look, look,” you say, slapping Sam’s shoulder to make sure he pays attention. “She’s about to do the horny giggle.”
A second later, the mom leans forward, cocking one of her hips as she laughs at something Dean said, then bites her lower lip.
“Wow,” Sam replies, “lip bite, too, huh?” You nod. “I guess we’ll be here a while.”
But a few seconds later, Dean turns away from her and walks towards the car, leaning into the window on Sam’s side. “Allison wants to show me her record collection.”
Sam scoffs, and you say: “Is that what the kids are calling it these days?” Dean rolls his eyes.
“Okay, virgins,” he replies. “I’ll just hop in and you guys wait here, okay? Won’t take long.” Sam makes a face.
“Dude,” he says, “that’s not something to brag about.” You lean forward to see Dean better.
“We’re not gonna sit out here while you’re in there getting laid, Dean,” you say, your tone irritated. “We can just drive back to the motel and pick you up when you’re done disappointing her.” Sam chuckles, but Dean shakes his head.
“The motel’s an hour away,” he says. “I’m not waiting an hour to have Mom and Dad pick me up. I’m not fifteen.”
You are just opening your mouth to complain, when Dean says: “My car, my rules. You’re waiting here.”
Then he walks off back to the hot mom and the two walk into her house. Sam shakes his head.
“This is…” he says, but doesn't finish saying what it is.
“I feel like a pimp,” you offer instead. You stare at the house Dean and the woman just vanished into.
“Well,” you sigh, resigned, pushing your backpack you have on the backseat with you towards the far end of the bench, moving to lay your head down on it. “Nothing to do but wait and hope Allison’s a fast one.”
Sam chuckles and turning back to you, seeing you laid out on the bench, asks: “You wanna take a nap?” You shake your head.
“Just getting comfortable,” you say. “I’m not even tired.” You're asleep five minutes later.
You're feeling warm and your body is tense and you wake with an intense shudder.
You notice your mouth is open and your fists clenched, your chest heaving, desperately trying to suck in oxygen.
Nightmare, you think immediately, but then, noticing the intense pressure in your core as your brain iss moving further towards consciousness, nope, definitely not a nightmare.
You blink your eyes open, disoriented by the darkness in front of you and a weird rushing sound. For a moment, you have no idea where you are until you angle your head up and recognize the roof of the Impala. A few seconds later, you realize that the roaring is rain coming down on the roof of the car.
You feel shaky, but also weirdly grounded. Warm and comfortable. Pushing yourself up on your elbow, you look around.
The car is still standing in front of hot mom’s house, the memory of which is slowly coming back to you. Sam is in the front seat, his back leaned into the angle of the door and the front bench. He's looking down and when you press yourself up higher, you see that he has a huge leather bound tome on his lap, one hand slightly angling it so he can read it by the soft light of his flashlight he is holding with his other hand.
The reason the flashlight is on is not just because it's raining, but because it has gone dark, the only other light a street lamp somewhere nearby.
You run your hand over your face, trying to rub some of the sleep from it.
“Dean not back yet?” you ask.
You half expect Sam to flinch, considering how deep he is usually absorbed in his reading, but he doesn't.
“Uh, nope,” he says, only throwing you a very quick look, immediately looking back at his book. Your breathing has slowed down but when you touch your face you feel that it's hot.
“Oh,” you say, then swallow, hoping you sound normal. “Good for you, Allison.”
Sam chuckles, but it's forced. Maybe you would notice earlier that he's acting weird if you didn't look at him then, at his profile, bringing the details of your dream back to you.
It's only splinters, but it's enough to make your face feel even hotter immediately.
You dreamed about Sam. His mouth, and his hands, sucking against your throat and gripping your hair. His broad back over you, and his narrow hips moving, pushing…
You have to move your legs when you realize you're pushing your thighs together, the remnants of what you're pretty sure was the orgasm you had in your sleep coming alive immediately.
You push yourself up further to a sitting position, throwing another look at Sam quickly. He isn't looking back at you, but his jaw is clenched, the hands holding the book gripping the edges hard. Oh no. Oh no no no.
Did you make noises that told him what you were dreaming about? Did you say anything that might have given away that you were dreaming about him? Does he know that you…?
“Shit,” you mutter, involuntarily.
“Hmm?” Sam says, still not looking up.
“Nothing,” you say way too quickly. You move your legs and suddenly in abject horror wonder if Sam might be able to tell that you were still aroused, smell your sweat or your wetness, so you quickly pull your legs up, tugging your arms over your knees.
Silence, then, horrible awkward silence that makes your head spin and then makes you think of your dream-Sam again, the noises he made, like the ones the real-Sam makes when he's hurt or angry, and you wonder if that was how he sounded.
You take a sharp breath to dispel the thoughts. You are making this a lot worse for yourself, you think.
The silence continues, the only sound the rain and your breathing and your heartbeat in your ears. It's deafening. Looking back at Sam, you see that his tongue is going over his lower lip, his brow knotted in concentration.
“What are you reading?” you ask finally, unable to stand it anymore. This time Sam does flinch.
“Uhm, uh,” he stutters and then he actually slightly turns over the front cover of the book because he has to look at it to see what he's reading. Weird, you think. He looked so concentrated.
“It’s, uh,” he continues, “a history of this underground society that basically, uhm,” he looks at the page again, seemingly completely forgetting what this underground society did. While he's still looking for the answer, you chuckle a little.
“Sounds like it’s real engaging,” you can't help but tease him. Sam grins.
“It is,” he says. “I mean it was.” You wait for him to elaborate, but he doesn't.
“Let me see?” you say, holding your hand out to him. Sam usually loves it when you show interest in whatever he's obsessing over that week, but he looks up and then at you with shock on his face.
“No,” he says. You wrinkle your brow.
“What?” you ask.
“It’s just,” Sam says, “I don’t think you’d like it.”
"What are you talking about?” you ask. “I love cults, or societies or whatever, you know that.”
“Yeah, I know,” Sam says, “I just don’t think you’d like this one.”
“Oh my god,” you mutter, then, forgetting your worries about your body, lean forward, over the bench and pull the book from his hands. Sam doesn't fight you, but fidgets in his seat when you sit back, leaning forward a little. You look at the book, keeping it open at the page Sam was on.
“This even has illustrations,” you say, then look up at Sam. “Sam, I’m a sucker for illustrations, what do you mean I wouldn’t like this?” Sam doesn't reply immediately, just clears his throat.
“Yeah,” he says, his voice a little more quiet. “I know.”
He isn't making any sense, so you lean forward and pass the book back to him. He's just grabbing for it when you look down.
There's a considerable bulge in Sam’s pants.
You immediately lean back, but Sam knows you’ve seen it. He lays the book back over his lap, his lips in a tight line, looking anywhere but at you.
The brothers and you live so closely together that this shouldn’t be a big deal. You’ve seen Dean in several states of undress and walked in on him and a hook-up more times than you can count.
But Sam has always been more private, more considerate, you might say. He changes his clothes where you can't see, even though, if you're being really honest, you want to see. It has gotten to the point where seeing him in a t-shirt sometimes gets you flustered, so starved are you for seeing more of him.
So this, while it shouldn’t be, feels like a big deal. A big deal. You chew the inside of your lip and that awful silence is back.
“Sam,” you say, and he immediately says: “Don’t, okay?” His tone is gentle, though. “This is really embarrassing, I feel like a damn teen.”
“It’s not embarrassing,” you reply, because it really isn't, thinking of your own little excitement mishap. To tell the truth, the thought that Sam is sitting there, hard, is not helping you calm down any.
Hoping to make things less awkward for him, you say: “I mean, illustrations get me going, too.” Sam looks up, and then understands a second later. He looks away, grimaces, and some of the discomfort seems to dissipate from him.
“Wasn’t the illustrations that did this,” he says, a small bashful smile on his lips.
“Oooh,” you say, nodding. “Hot mom Allison and her record collection?” Sam actually chuckles, and you feel proud of yourself. Crisis averted. Now you can just go back to pining for Sam without the chance that anything is ever going to come of it.
But then he shakes his head, and his expression turns serious.
“Wasn’t her either,” he replies, his voice quiet. Then he looks at you, his head slightly turned to the side. “What did you dream about?”
A wave of heat goes through you. So you did make some noises. Goddamn it. A flash of dreaming about Sam kissing you roughly goes through your head, his lips bruising yours. But maybe you just made general noises, dream noises. Maybe you can convince him it was a nightmare.
“Uh, not sure,” you say, and it's your turn to stutter now. “Why, did I, like, say anything?” Sam licks his lip, still looking at you. You se him swallow, his throat moving.
“Uhm, you were kind of sighing? And, and,” Sam clears his throat, then continues. “And your body was really tensing up, and I thought maybe it was a nightmare but then you… moaned?” Sam looks down at his lap where the book is. So much for your amazing plan.
“Oh,” you say, pretending this is surprising you. “Sounds like a fun dream.” Like you don't remember the warm waves going through you when you woke up, the lightness and then the delicious heaviness. Sam nods.
“You were also kind of, uhm,” he continues, and you're not sure why he is telling you all this, why he can't just downplay this like you did his stupid boner. “You were also kind of…writhing. And moving your hips a lot. And your face was…” Sam swallows again. “You had this expression that was really sexy.”
Your mouth drops open. Sexy?
Sam keeps going: “It looked like you were in pain for a  second and then it was gone and it just looked…sexy.” He’s said it twice now and you feel heat go through you. What is he even saying?
Sam licks his lips again, the short view of the muscle making you press your lips together, and then he looks back at you. “And I guess I was maybe watching you and listening to you and that’s what lead to this whole situation.”
Your breathing is going heavy and you wondered if Sam notices. What is going on with you might generally be easier to hide than what Sam has going on, but you're pretty sure that right then it is clear as daylight. Sam is hard because he listened to you having your sexy little dream. The dream that was about him. Jesus H. Christ on a popsicle stick. How are you going to ever deal with that?
“I’m—I’m flattered,” you say quietly. Sam smiles a little.
“It doesn’t weird you out?” he asks carefully. You shake your head.
“No, it’s actually kind of appropriate,” you reply. Sam frowns.
“Appropriate?” he asks. You can't help but grin, suddenly feeling a little mischievous. “Yeah, cause the dream I had was about you.”
Well, it's out there now, that's for certain. You watch Sam’s reaction, wondering if he's about to be the one who's weirded out. But he isn't. He keeps looking at you and you notice that his breathing has gotten heavier too. Something twitches in his jaw and he leans one arm on the back of the front bench. Just lying there, not doing anything, but its closeness, seeing his hand splayed there causes a reaction in you that you did not anticipate.
You press your legs together where you still hold them against you, and Sam’s eyes shoot down for just a moment, tracking the movement. Then he looks up at your face again.
“What was I doing,” he asks, voice low, “in the dream?” Your teeth find your lip at his words, the need to press down on something strong in you suddenly. This is happening. This is really happening.
“You… were touching me,” you say.
“Where?” Sam asks. His voice isn't shaky at all, it's steady, confident suddenly, which is not something you would have expected from him. You try to remember the dream, thinking for a second.
“Everywhere,” you say. “But you started with my face.”
Sam’s eyes meet yours then and both of you look at each other for a moment. You feel your eyelids flutter at your renewed arousal, the heat between your legs becoming uncomfortable. Sam nods.
“Do you want to tell me about it?” he asks, voice still steady but breathing harder. You move your shoulders.
“I do,” you say, “but it’s making me, uhm, it’s making me a little…”
Sam nods again. “Me too.”
There's silence for a moment again, and then Sam and you notice at the same time that you're rocking yourself against the bench beneath you. You stop immediately, but Sam says in the same moment: “Keep going.”
Fuck. You really want to. You really want to but this was so…
Shouldn’t you kiss first? Go on a date? Hold hands? You're not sure about any of this, only that Sam is looking at you and that you want to touch yourself.
“Are you gonna...?” you ask, too nervous to say more.
Sam nods. “If that’s okay with you?” Oh wow, is it ever okay with you. You nod.
Sam’s arm over the back of the bench doesn't move, but you can see the shoulder of his other arm does. He turns the flashlight off, the light from the street light still letting you see him, then you hear the flash light fall to the floor, and his arm keeps moving.
So you push your ass further down on the bench, meaning your legs are angled away from you a little, then let your hand slip between them, pushed into your jeans. It's a tight fit and there's another layer of clothing in-between but when you press down your lower body twitches in response.
Sam is still watching you, not saying anything, but you see his shoulder moving.
“Tell me,” he finally says, his voice so quiet as to be difficult to hear over the rain outside.
“We were,” you start, “in bed. It was a huge bed, not some dingy motel room. Nice white linen and sheets and, and we were both naked.”
Sam breathes in through his nose, and you press down on yourself again, another shudder going through you. Jesus, you're sensitive right now.
“It was, uhm, it was like snippets, cause it was a dream,” you explain, and Sam nods, his eyes not leaving your face. “But in one of them, you were over me. And you were kissing my neck, sort of rough and gentle at the same time.”
“What were you doing?” Sam asks.
“I was… My head was leaned back and my eyes were closed and my hands were in your hair, holding on to you.”
“And?” Sam asks.
“And,” you reply, your fingers having found a rhythm while you're still rocking yourself against the seat. “And you were fucking me.”
Sam closes his eyes for a few seconds, a low moan escaping him.
“Did you like it?” he asks, his voice sounding a little cracked now. Holy shit, it's the most erotic thing you've ever heard in your life. Sam, the master of self-control and decency, losing it at the wet dream you had about him.
“I loved it,” you say, your own voice a little breathy. “You were big and solid and fucking me hard and making me come.”
Sam’s shoulder starts moving faster.
“I want to do that,” he says, almost panting. “I want to make you come.”
Your own rhythm is picking up, your fingers pressing hard against you, and you can feel an almost violent knot of pleasure building in you.
“Do it, Sam,” you say, and your other hand going to your breast, finding the nipple and pinching it through the fabric.
“I want to see that face you made,” Sam pants. “Really hear you, hear you say my name when you come.”
He looks into your eyes then and your vision almost becomes blurry. “I want to feel you come while I’m inside of you.”
Then your body is tensing, everything pulling inwards, your eyes squeezing shut and a pained sounding noise leaves you, and a second later your head falls back on the bench, a sob of "oh God" leaving you as wave after wave of intense pleasure rolls through you.
You're breathing hard, eyelids heavy but then your eyes fly open when your hear Sam curse under his breath.
“Fuck,” he says, and you look at him just in time to see him also squeeze his eyes shut, his shoulders drawing up and his face making the most beautiful expression you have ever seen. He groans once and then lays his head back, panting, features full of bliss, all tension gone from him.
You're both quiet for a while, letting your bodies calm down, your breathing adjust.
After a few minutes, you see Sam move out of your half-closed eyes, and he's looking at you again.
“Holy shit,” he says, his face unbelieving. You can't help but laugh.
“Holy shit indeed,” you respond. He grins at you, lopsided. Then his attention is drawn away, and he opens the glove box, rummaging around for a second. He pulls something from it and holds it up for a second, a shy smile on his face. It's a box of tissues.
“Gotta clean up,” he mumbles, pulling a few tissues out and then throwing the box back into the glove box. You see him move his arms, a concentrated look on his face as you study at his features, watch at him move.
“I think I’ll skip the cleaning process,” you say after a while, “and go straight for new underwear.” Sam grins again.
“I know I didn’t do anything,” he says and seems to be finished with what he's been doing. “But why does that feel like such a compliment?” Now it's your turn to grin.
“Believe me, Sam,” you say, “it is a compliment.”
He looks back up at you, his boyish grin slowly dropping from his face.
“Do you,” he says, suddenly seeming nervous again, “want to maybe, uhm, have dinner with me some time? I mean I know we have dinner together all the time, but I mean, like a….”
He falters for a second, so you finish his sentence. “A date?”
Sam nods. “A date.”
“I think we did this the wrong way around,” you say, instead of answering. “I think you’re supposed to have dinner first and then come at the same time.”
Sam’s laugh surprises and thrills you.
“I guess it’s a little untraditional,” he says, nodding.
“I would love to go on a date with you, Sam,” you reply, and he beams at you, making you want to kiss him. So you do. Despite what you had just done, it still makes you nervous.
You lean forward, pushing yourself up until you're up to the front bench. Sam moves forward as well when he realizes what you're doing and then your lips met.
The angle is awkward, the bench pressing against your boobs and when Sam tries to get his hand up to cup your face he has to first turn his upper body, break the kiss and then lean in again.
It's perfect. It's just awkward and uncoordinated as a first kiss should be, no matter what else you have done.
When you stop kissing, you faces still close, you grin at each other like idiots. You kiss Sam's cheek, just because you felt like it.
Suddenly the light outside changes and you both turn to look. It's hot mom’s porch light and a second later you see Dean come outside and jog down towards the car, collar up to stop the rain from getting in.
You lean back on the bench, and Sam turns again, pretending he's sitting normally in his seat.
Dean makes it to the driver’s side, quickly opens the door and sits inside, making a few drops of rain spray everywhere.
“Now,” he says, closing the door behind him. “That little bit of waiting wasn’t so bad, was it? You kids have fun?”
There's silence for a moment, then Sam picks up the book from where it has apparently fallen into the foot well on his side.
“Yeah,” he says. “We entertained ourselves.”
Dean opens his mouth, probably to make fun of his brother’s nerdiness, but then closes it again. He sniffs. Your body tenses and you see Sam’s do the same.
“Did you guys screw in here?” Dean asks, eyebrows high and eyes narrowed.
“No!” you and Sam say at the same time. It's technically true, depending on your definition of screwing. Dean looks back at you and then at Sam, suspicion on his face.
“Mmh hmm,” he says, then looks forward, starting the car. Sam throws a quick look back at you and you have to suppress your grin.
Once you've been driving down the dark roads for a few minutes, Sam puts his arm back over the back of the front bench. Instead of laying it on top, however, he lets his arm dangle over it, letting it swing until his hand finds your leg. When he does, he squeezes it.
You bring your hand forward as much as you can without moving, hoping not to draw any attention to yourself. Finding Sam's big, warm hand, you lay yours over it, gently stroking it with your thumb.
You look up, and Sam is grinning in the dark.

odd.
no calls, no text messages and the ones satoru sent you all remained on delivered.
usually, you’d ask satoru how megumi was doing, ask for pictures of the dogs, but this time it felt like your very presence was erased from the face of earth aka the display of his phone. a coil of worry sat in his abdomen like a snake, just waiting to crawl up his neck and slowly suffocate him before it’d eventually eat him up in one go.
“are you still alive?”
after thirty minutes of no reply, satoru got up from his seat on the couch and made his way over to your apartment. with a spare key — which you’d given him for emergencies — he unlocked your door with a quiet creak. “[name]?” he called out carefully, but got no reply. satoru swore he heard a shuffling of blankets from the living room.
with the curtains half-drawn, only a few sunrays dappled the living room. on the coffee table rested an empty pack of painkillers, a half-empty bottle of water and an empty bowl of chili chips. the tv was still running on the lowest volume, playing some movie satoru didn’t care about; not when you laid on the couch curled in on yourself and buried underneath a fluffy blanket like a hedgehog.
“satoru?” you raised your head from the pillow and rubbed some sleep from your eyes. you’d been taking a nap, satoru guessed.
taking a seat on your couch, satoru peered into your tired eyes and the pained expression painted across your face when you moved. “you look like shit,” he deadpanned, “what’s up? you haven’t been answering any of my messages.”
with a little hiss slipping through your teeth, you sat up on the soft cushion. a hot water bottle was stuffed in the waistline of your sweatpants. “sorry. i got my period and i’ve been feeling like shit all day. thanks for pointing it out, by the way.”
there was a little tug at satoru’s heartstrings when he saw your face so unusually pale and the discomfort in your body. he knew there was little he could do, yet he still asked. “is there anything i can do for you?”
satoru was too good for his own good. he didn’t have to check up on you and make sure you were alright. after all, you were supposed to be nothing but his son’s babysitter. or nanny. or whatever satoru called that arrangement. yet, here he was, in your home and looking at you with eyes that betrayed the worry in his abdomen. how could you refuse such an offer? you couldn’t, that’s how.
“actually..could you fetch me some pads and painkillers? i’d go myself but– oh fuck.”
as another cramp seemed to stab your womb, satoru gently put his palms on the slope of your shoulders and pushed you back down onto the soft cushion of your couch. to see you so out of commission tugged at his heartstrings in way it probably shouldn’t. “say no more. you just rest. i’ll be right back.”
all you managed was an affirmative grunt and a nod of your head before satoru made his way out of your four cozy walls to fetch you some pads and painkillers.
about half an hour later, he came back with a bag of the things you asked for and some salty and sweet snacks as well as some heat patches for your lower back.
“..why’d you get so many pads? these are enough to last me a year.” a smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you pulled out item after item.
satoru shrugged his shoulders, a sheepish smile on his handsome face. “you didn’t specify which pads you needed, so i asked the lady in the aisle for help. well, in the end, i wanted to be sure and bought a little bit of everything.” he filled the bowl on your coffee table with some salty chips and stole one or two chips for his own before letting you have a taste. “i think i did a good job. i made sure all of them have wings, too!”
laughter bubbled in the back of your throat and for a moment, you forgot that your uterus was made of knives – or maybe it was thanks to the painkillers you had swallowed. “yeah. you did the best job.”
when your praise went in his ear like sweet honey and you looked at him with those sweet eyes, satoru swore his heart skipped a beat under his ribs. a feeling he hadn’t felt in so long, but it wasn’t too bad. at least, it was better than the snake of worry in his tummy.
“you didn’t have to buy all these things though,” you said and turned around so satoru could reveal the skin of your lower back. with careful fingers, satoru stuck the heat patches to your skin before pulling your shirt back down.
“you’re right. i didn’t have to, but i wanted to,” satoru replied, sitting back on the couch and casually draping his arm over your shoulder to pull you a bit closer to him. “besides, you looked so miserable that i took pity on you.”
“..i’m gonna pretend like i didn’t hear the last part,” you grumbled and snuggled up to the taller man who took up half of your couch, but you didn’t mind. in fact, you appreciated the warmth he radiated and so willingly shared with you.
satoru found a piece of home as you were cuddled into his side and watched the movie running on tv. how sweet it was to have a pretty woman in his arm, finding amusement in the silly lines of the characters and eventually snoring away on his shoulder like it was where you belonged.
satoru made a mental note to come by in four weeks again when your period would start just so you’d let him cuddle you.

“No sleeping in, not even on my birthday. There’s too much to get done to waste the day in bed.” 🎉✨
Happy birthday to my twst oc, Arlen Nox! I decided to do my spin on the new birthday card theme for Arlen even though they haven’t released a Diasomnia character yet, so Arlen might not match Silver and the others when they come out. Trey and Floyd were big inspirations for Arlen’s card from his to his pajamas. Specifically for his pajamas I wanted to incorporate Kingdom Hearts elements since Arlen’s main inspiration is Riku, so I tied in some dream eater references.
If you swipe you can see how Arlen spent part of his birthday as well as what presents he received from his friends. Below you can read Arlen’s birthday vignette written in a similar style to the new birthday vignettes, which guest stars the character voted as Arlen’s duo partner on Instagram…Silver! I hope you all enjoy and if you have any questions about Arlen, feel free to leave them in my inbox! ✨
.✨✨✨.
Arlen: Alright, I should be able to take these back to my room before track practice.
Arlen: Wait a second…who’s that lying on the ground up ahead? Are they hurt?
Arlen: Oh, it’s just Silver. I don’t have time to waste…but I hate to leave him in case he’s in a hurry to get somewhere too.
Arlen: Silver? Wake up, Silver. Now’s not the time to be napping. Silver! SILVER!
Silver: Huh? What? Oh, Arlen, it’s you.
Arlen: Yeah, sorry about yelling in your ear. You were sleeping pretty soundly.
Silver: Sorry for the trouble I caused. I appreciate you taking the time to wake me up.
Arlen: It’s fine. I was just on my way back from the post office and saw you laying there on the side of the path.
Silver: Post office? Not many students go there with all the technology available today.
Arlen: Unfortunately, I’m not the best with technology, so I go there quite frequently. Today, I was picking up a card my stepparents sent me.
Silver: A card? Were they congratulating you about your performance in the recent track meet?
Arlen: No, they sent me a birthday card.
Silver: Birthday? I’m terribly sorry if I missed it. Happy-
Arlen: Slow down, Silver, my birthday’s not until tomorrow.
Silver: Really? I apologize for getting ahead of myself.
Arlen: Quit apologizing, birthdays aren’t a big deal anyways. Just another day of the year.
Silver: Oh? Are you not a fan of big celebrations on your birthday?
Arlen: Not really? I don’t know, I just don’t understand the need to get so worked up about them. All you’re doing is getting older, what’s there to really celebrate?
Silver: Hmm. I suppose people just like to celebrate that you lived another year, uplifting your growth and the memories you made in that short span of time.
Arlen: Sounds about right, I guess. The best part’s getting to eat cake.
Silver: Really? I thought you weren’t a fan of sweets?
Arlen: Just ice cream, it’s way too sugary for my tastes. I enjoy cakes and pies just fine.
Silver: That explains Malleus’s initial reaction to you…
Arlen: Huh?
Silver: It’s nothing, just…hold on a moment, I just got a text from Sebek.
Silver: Oh no, I was asleep longer than I thought. I must be getting to the Equestrian Club. Farewell, Arlen!
Arlen: Bye, Silver.
Arlen: Guess I’d better hurry on myself. Chatting with Silver’s nice, but I can’t be late to practice or else I’ll have to run extra laps.
.✨✨✨.
Arlen: There’s nothing like a hot shower after practice.
Arlen: Speaking of practice, I need to write down my new personal best. Can’t believe I managed to shave off four seconds today. Maybe it’s some early birthday luck.
Arlen: The next track meet isn’t for another month, so I’ve got plenty of time to cut down more time off my personal best. I wish I could shave off some more time from our relay record, it could definitely use some improvement.
Arlen: Competing individually comes easier to me than competing as a group. When it’s just me, I only have to worry about myself. When I’m competing with others, I not only worry about myself, but I have to worry about the other guys as well. It’s a lot of trusting one another, which doesn’t come easily…especially in a school like Night Raven College.
Arlen: Luckily, Jack and Deuce handle their share of the relay just fine. Although, I wonder if by becoming closer it would shave off time for our relay….hmmm. Maybe I’ll treat them to dinner tomorrow after practice, they’d enjoy that.
*Bzzt*
Arlen: My phone? Who could that be? Oh, Soren wants to FaceTime. Sure for just a couple minutes.
Soren: ARLEN! What took you so long? It took you like three rings instead of two! What-
Arlen: Slow down, Soren. I just got back from showering after practice. I’m a bit sore today.
Soren: Oh, I see! Must be trying to beat my time from the track meet last week.
Arlen: Yeah right, you’re the one trying to catch up to me. Speaking of which, you’re going to have to work harder, I just shaved off four more seconds.
Soren: WAIT WHAT?! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Kai won’t believe me when I tell him tomorrow.
Arlen: I could always send you a picture of my time as proof.
Soren: Ha ha, very funny. Laugh it up while you can, you’ll be eating my dust soon enough.
Arlen: As if.
Soren: Oh let me tell you what happened in class today! So I was sitting with Neige…
*Time Passes*
Soren: I couldn’t believe it when Chenya came out of alchemy lab with bright green hands.
Arlen: Well that’s what you get when you mix aloe and pixie dust.
*Knock*
Lilia: Arlen, it’s past lights out. Off to bed with you.
Arlen: My bad!
Arlen: Sorry, Soren, we’ll have to talk later.
Soren: That’s fine. But before you go, I’ve got one last thing to say to you.
Arlen: What?
Soren: Happy birthday, Arlen!
*Click*
Arlen: Huh? Is it really-
Arlen: We talked for that long!? So that’s why he kept flying through topics, just to get to midnight.
Arlen: Wait…
Arlen: Why was Lilia doing lights out checks so late!? What was he doing?!
Arlen: No use wasting time thinking about that. I’ve got to get to bed so I can get up early.
.✨✨✨.
Arlen: Time to start the day. It’s nice waking up early because the dorm bathroom is completely empty. Most people don’t get up at the crack of dawn like I do. Sometimes I run into Sebek or Malleus, which is quite the jump scare as Idia would say.
Arlen: Alright, quick shower then it’s time to head out.
Arlen: I don’t spend too much time on my appearance. Just combing my hair, brushing my teeth, the usual. No point spending extra time when it’ll just get messy from the wind later.
Arlen: Some guys go all out with makeup and hair products, but that’s just not my thing. Just some lotion will do just fine. Dry skin gets on my last nerve.
Arlen: Alright, next on my morning routine. Time to go get the feed from my room. I like being outside early, it’s a good way to clear my head. I feed the animals around the dorm while I’m at, might as well since I’m already out.
Arlen: I can see the birds waiting up in the rafters of the courtyard. They always wait up there, never getting close till I put the feed out…I hope they’ll grow to like me some day. Animals just don’t seem to like me, I get it though.
Arlen: Hmm?
Arlen: A little sparrow is hopping right in front of me? Want something to eat little guy?
Arlen: Huh? Another bird’s come down? A rabbit too? I haven’t even put down any food yet!?
???: Getting along with the animals, Arlen?
Arlen: Silver! That explains why the animals got closer than normal.
Silver: I’m sure they’re just finally coming around to you.
Arlen: As if.
Silver: You just gotta have more confidence in yourself. The animals can tell you’re nervous. Here.
Arlen: Huh? What are you doing with that bird? Silver, wait-
Silver: Just put your hand out like so and the bird will have a nice place to sit. Perfect.
Arlen: Silver, take it back before I hurt-
Silver: You’re fine, just breathe. See? It’s okay.
Arlen: …
Silver: Arlen? I’m sorry if I rushed you into-
Arlen: So what are you doing up so early? Doesn’t a sleepyhead like you snooze through the morning.
Silver: Usually, yes, but I had something important this morning.
Arlen: Really?
Silver: Arlen, happy birthday.
Arlen: Huh? Ha…ha ha ha!
Silver: What’s so funny?
Arlen: Something important? It’s just my birthday. You said that like it was the secret to saving the world from darkness or something.
Silver: It’s important to me. I wanted you to know your birthday mattered to me, so much so I wanted to be the first to say it.
Arlen: Really? That’s…really kind of you. Thank you, Silver.
Silver: You’re welcome, Arlen. I hope you don’t think that’s all I prepared, I also made some coffee cake in the kitchen for breakfast.
Arlen: Pulling out all the stops aren’t you.
Silver: Of course for a friend like you.

taking care of him at a party
— ft. atsumu miya
AN: just a lil sum while i work my music event drabbles 🤍 also this was soo fun to write so pls request any other characters i should do this for !
Tumblr media
your roommate was throwing a party in your shared house, and it was fun at first. however your social battery was running kind of low, and you felt like taking a break anyways. “hey im a little beat, but if you need anything i’ll be in my room” you tell your friend and then you make your way to your room.
you lie down on your bed, and decide to maybe take a small nap to help you feel better. but not even 15 minutes into your nap you hear a soft knock on your door. “come in” you groan, as you readjust yourself so that you can sit up and see whoever’s at your door, expecting your roommate needing assistance with something for the party. but to your surprise, your greeting by three familiar faces, one being a very drunk atsumu miya.
being practically held him by his twin brother and good friend suna, the former embarrassingly says “y/n im so sorry for barging in, but is it ok if we let atsumu take a break here? every other room was occupied and your roommate told us to try here” atsumu was smashed, you could tell that he was shitfaced and it was more like osamu & suna who needed the break.
“what? ok sure yeah whatever. just lay him down over there i guess.” too tired to really even refute their request, you instruct the two to carry their drunken friend on the side of your bed opposite of you. this is where you decide it’s probably time for you to turn in for the night.
you leave atsumu to rest on your bed, and head into your bathroom to change, shower, and what not to get ready for bed. by the time you’re done you chuckle to yourself when you see atsumu is still knocked out on your bed. admittedly, you found it kind of cute to see him like this. peacefully asleep, in his natural state, a change of pace from his usual loud and brash personality, it didn’t help that he was in your bed as well. after placing a glass of water and some tylenol and advil on the nightstand next to him, you sit on your side of your bed and start mindlessly scrolling on your phone.
you text your roommate, updating them on the wild situation you found yourself in. “y/n are u fr rn? this is like the perfect chance for u to confess to him hello??” a smile forms on your face after reading that text, “bro what hell no. that’s so awkward 😭” “ur trippin, worst case scenario u can tell him u we’re js drunk” rolling your eyes at that suggestion, you exit your texts and go back to your scrolling.
a few minutes go by and you feel atsumu shifting in your bed, followed by a slight groan. “oh god where am i” he groans as he rolls over, rubbing his eyes, to face this mysterious figure sat beside him.
“well you’re not downstairs getting shitfaced that’s for sure” you snark with a small chuckle, slightly admiring how cute he looks with his messy hair and flushed face. “oh shit! y/n! is this your room? oh my god did we..?” amused by his slight panic you reassured him that nothing happened, “no no don’t worry, you were absolutely plastered so suna and your brother dropped you off here so you could rest. there’s some tylenol next to you, you should really take some”
she’s such an angel wow, he thought to himself as he took the pain relievers you so kindly prepared for him. “god those assholes, sorry you had to deal with that” he quietly, almost embarrassingly apologizes. giggling at his annoyance you assure him it’s fine and that it’s not a big deal. but then the gears start turning in your head a bit, as you start to develop a lil plan to semi-confess to him.
“the party isn’t probably gonna end for another few hours, so if you want you can just crash here if you want. i can just sleep on the couch or something” almost immediately, a grin plasters on atsumus face, and his usually cocky self is back just like that. “i mean that’s rather rude ya know? i wouldn’t want such an angel who had to take care of a drunken asshole to sleep on the couch. you should probably just sleep in your own bed” he grins as he runs his hands through his messy blonde hair, this bitch knows exactly what he’s doing, you think to yourself.
despite a very obvious blush creeping up on your face you respond, “yeah well i’d feel bad if you had to stay on the couch” scoffing, faking offense to your comment “who said anything about me on the couch? plus i heard cuddling is good for hangovers.” OH HOW I HATE HIM. rolling your eyes you playfully act annoyed, but you couldn’t be any happier
“hm well i always wanted to cuddle with that dumbass from the volleyball team who i have a crush on” you retort with a light laugh. now it’s his turn to blush, already flushed from the alcohol he is now redder than before. “when exactly were you planning on tellling this handsome and talented dumbass?” despite the confident demeanor he was definitely screaming on the inside.
“i figured now would be a good time, but who said anything about handsome and talented.” you reply as you side eye him, but he just can’t help but smile right at you. “so we’re definitely cuddling right?” he asks with a heartful, genuine smile. not being able to deny this lover boy’s smile or even him in general, i mean you’ve liked him for months now, you roll your eyes and respond “ok fine i guess whatever, but find some clothes to change into and take a shower” you laugh as you playfully hit him on his shoulder.
“on it.” he gets up heading downstairs to see if any of his friends have extra clothes they can get him, and to of course tell them about his crush on you. “shit finally, it’s about time you told her you liked her, osamu you owe me $10 and some food” “ok fine suna whatever, but you owe me $5 since he did it while he was drunk.” yes these mfs placed bets on you guys confessing to each other.

All my dreams are in your eyes
Tumblr media
I was finishing up cleaning the kitchen when I heard my phone start to ring. I dried off my hands and picked it up to see it was dad. I smiled as I answered it. “Hi daddy.” I said. “Hey how are my girls?” Dad asked. “Well Minnie is napping. She just getting over the stomach bug.” I said. “Awe my poor little mouse.” Dad said. “Yeah she been just miserable but she finally started to feel better today.” I said. “Well looks like I’m coming home for awhile.” Dad said. “Really?” I asked. “Yeah they want me to be a teacher for some pilots for an up coming mission.” Dad said. “That great that your going to be home for awhile. Do you know how long?” I asked. “I don’t sweetie you’re have to go ask your godfather on that one.” Dad said. “When will you be home?” I asked. “I’m about to head that way now so probably sometime tonight.” Dad said. “Okay I won’t tell Minnie so you can surprise her. You should also know that Bradley is back from his deployment.” I said. “Thanks for the heads up sweetie.” Dad said. “You need to tell him eventually daddy. I know you never told me because you know I will tell him but please think about telling him soon for the both of us.” I said. Dad let out a sigh. “I know. I know sweetie I guess I’m just waiting for the right time.” Dad said. “When will be the right time daddy?” I asked. “I’ll figure it out I’ll see you girls soon. I love you two.” Dad said. “I know daddy we love you too see you soon.” I said and hung up. I let out a sigh as I grabbed my phone and went to watch some TV while I waited for Bradley to come by before he went to the Hard Deck.
I smiled to myself when I heard the sounds of his jeep pull up in the driveway and turned off. I got up from the couch and ran outside jumping into his arms. “Welcome home.” I said. “Good to be home now where’s my favorite little peanut.” Bradley said. I laughed a little as I playfully pushed. “Napping finally getting over a stomach bug.” I said. “Awe poor peanut.” Bradley said as we both walked inside the house. “I know you probably want to go wake her up but I need to tell you something first.” I said. “Uh oh are you pregnant again. If you are please tell me I’m getting a nephew this time.” Bradley said. “If I was I would hope it’s another girl just to make you suffer having to come to more tea parties. But no I’m not pregnant again I’m not even thinking about dating at the moment. My dad is coming home for a awhile to be a teacher for some mission. No he still hasn’t told me.” I said. I saw Bradley’s mood change. “Okay thanks for the heads up.” Bradley said. “Don’t tell Minnie that dad’s coming home I want it to be a surprise.” I said. “I won’t tell anything to little peanut.” Bradley said. “Thanks.” I said. Bradley nodded and went to Minnie’s room to wake her up. I sat on the couch when I heard minnie excitedly yelled. “Uncle Roo.” Minnie yelled. I laughed as I shook my head.
Bradley walked back into the living room carrying Minnie. “Mommy Uncle Roo is home!” Minnie yelled. “Little mouse inside voice remember.” I said. Minnie giggled as she nuzzled into her face into his neck. “Aw come on now she just missed her uncle roo.” Bradley said. “And she just got over the stomach bug and do you want her yelling possibly taking the chance that she might throw up on you.” I said smirking. “Listening to mommy for now little peanut no yelling inside.” Bradley said. “Aw.” Minnie said. “Okay now what does little mouse feel like for dinner?” I asked. “Anything?” Minnie asked. “Mommy did promise that once you were completely over your stomach bug you could have anything.” I said. “I want pizza.” Minnie said. “Will uncle roo be joining us?” I asked. “Please uncle roo.” Minnie said looking up at him. “Okay I’ll stay for dinner.” Bradley said. Minnie giggled again as I ordered the pizzas for us.
As we waited on the pizzas Minnie was talking Bradley’s ear off as she caught him up on everything that he missed since he left. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched them. The three of us ate dinner together then Bradley had to leave. “Now I have to go see my other friends but I’ll come to see you soon okay little peanut.” Bradley said. “Promise?” Minnie asked. “Now have I ever lied to you.” Bradley said. Minnie shook her. Bradley kissed her on the cheek and gave me a hug. “I’ll see my favorite girls later.” Bradley said. “What are you going to say when you get a girlfriend.” I said laughing a little. “Well if she truly loves me then she’ll understand that it’s true.” Bradley said. “Oh now that’s going to be a tough ask.” I said. “What you know that it’s going to be the same when you find a boyfriend I’m your favorite guy and you know it.” Bradley said. “If that helps you sleep better at night.” I said laughing a little. “Oh I definitely didn’t miss this.” Bradley said. “Lair.” I said. Bradley laughed then left. “Come on little mouse it’s bath time.” I said. “But I don’t wanna.” Minnie said. “But you got to little mouse now come on go pick your jammies.” I said. Minnie nodded and rushed off to her room to pick out what pajamas she wanted to wear while I went to get her bath ready.
“Okay mommy I picked out my jammies.” Minnie said rushing into the bathroom. I smiled as I took them placing them on the counter. I undressed minnie and got her in the tub. I cleaned and washed her hair. “Mommy?” Minnie asked. “Yes little mouse.” I said. “When can we see pa-pa again?” Minnie asked. “You miss your pa-pa don’t you.” I said. Minnie nodded as she looked at me. “Soon little mouse I promise.” I said. “Okay mommy.” Minnie said. I finished up her bath as I picked her up out of the tub as I started to dry her off. As I was getting her in her jammies I heard dad’s motorcycle. “Is that pa-pa?” Minnie asked. “I don’t think so little mouse he would have told me if he was going to come to see his girls.” I said. Then I heard the door open then close. “Where are my girls at?” Dad asked. Minnie bolted out of the bathroom. “Pa-pa.” Minnie said as she ran into his arms. I laughed as I started to clean up the bathroom from Minnie’s bath. Once I was done I went back out to the living room to see Minnie doing to same to dad talking his ear off. “She happy now she got to see her two favorite people today.” I said sitting down on the couch next to dad. “There’s my other favorite princess.” Dad said and kissed my head. “Mommy can pa-pa read to me tonight please?” Minnie asked clinging to dad. “Yeah pa-pa can read to you tonight.” I said. “Can he come with us to the park tomorrow too?” Minnie asked. “Little mouse I got a class to teach for awhile because your grandpa frosty wanted me to. But I promise I will take you to the park while I’m home.” Dad said. “Okay pa-pa.” Minnie said snuggling into dad’s chest as she yawned. “Uh oh looks like a certain little mouse is getting tired.” Dad said “No I’m not.” Minnie said rubbing her eyes. “You are just like your mom when she was your age.” Dad said laughing a little bit. “I still do that now.” I said. “Well I’m going to go put our little mouse to bed.” Dad said getting up and taking Minnie to her room.
It was about thirty minutes later that he walked out of her room leaving it open just a bit then came to sit back down next to me. “So how’s my favorite girl been. Dating anyone?” Dad asked. “Bradley asked the same thing. No I haven’t started to date been busy with work and minnie.” I said. “How’s Ice been really I know you’re able to go see him more than I’ve been able to.” Dad said. “He’s gotten worse I always try to take minnie to see him once a week if he feels up to it.” I said. “He always did joke that she became one of the best medicines for him.” Dad said which made me smile a little. “He still does. He still tries to actually say it to her. Momma Sarah and I both tell him not to over work himself like that but he doesn’t listen to us.” I said. “Because it makes Minnie giggle her adorable little giggle and she feels like she is the best medicine for him.” Dad said. “It’s going to absolutely crush her when it does happen. Every time after we leave the first question she asks in the car is that was the last time she’s going to see her grandpa frosty.” I said. “Poor little mouse it will break her little heart.” Dad said. “Are you hoping to be home for awhile?” I asked. “I’m hoping it’s been too long since I’ve spent a decent amount of time with my girls.” Dad said. “I know minnie would love it to spend time with both you and Bradley.” I said. “I saw him when I was at the Hard Deck earlier.” Dad said. “You did?” I asked. Dad nodded. “I saw him but he didn’t see me. God he looks so much like goose.” Dad said. “I keep telling him to shave the mustache.” I said laughing a little which made dad laugh. “I’ve had a long day sweetie I’m going to go turn in for the night.” Dad said as he kissed my head getting up. “Night daddy.” I said. “I love you sweetie.” Dad said. “I love you too daddy.” I said and dad went to his room. I got up from the couch and turned off the lights in the living room as I went to take a bath. After my bath I got ready for bed myself.
I was woken up to Minnie jumping on my bed. “Mommy wake up! Wake up!” Minnie said happily. “Okay. Okay little mouse I’m up.” I said smiling as I sat up pulling her to me. “Can we go to the park now?” Minnie asked. “Not yet little mouse we still got the eat breakfast. I’m guess pa-pa already left.” I said. “Yeah pa-pa is gone I looked in his room.” Minnie said. “Alright let’s go have some breakfast then we’ll get dressed then I’ll take you to the park. What do you want for breakfast?” I asked. “I want waffle please.” Minnie said. “Okay come on lets go.” I said getting up from my bed and helping Minnie down. “Now do you want home made waffle or eggos?” I asked. “I want fruity pebbles waffles please mommy.” Minnie said looking up at me. “Okay let go little mouse.” I said taking her hand as we walked to the kitchen. I picked her help place her in her chair as I got her some juice and put some waffles in the toaster. “Thank you mommy.” Minnie said sipping on her juice. “You’re welcome little mouse.” I said and kissed her head. I went back over to the toaster when I heard the waffles pop up. I got a plate out and put them on it as I cut them up and made them just how Minnie likes them and I put some more in for me. I grabbed a fork and took it to Minnie. “Yay thank you mommy.” Minnie said as she started to happily eat. I smiled as I shook my head as I went to fix my breakfast.
After breakfast I helped Minnie picked out an outfit then brushed her hair as she brushed her teeth. “Okay can you be a good girl while mommy gets dressed and ready.” I said. “Can I go watch Bluey while I wait?” Minnie asked. “Yeah go watch bluey little mouse.” I said. Minnie ran to the living room giggling.
I spent about fifteen minutes getting ready. Then I went to the kitchen to get some snacks and some drinks for the two of us. I got them packed up. “Alright little mouse time to go put on your shoes please.” I said. “Okay mommy.” Minnie said turning off the tv and went to the front door and started to put on her shoes. I slipped mine on and opened the door. Minnie happily started to skipped out as I closed the door. “Mommy can I take my stuffie?” Minnie asked. “Your lucky I haven’t locked the door yet little mouse. Go get it.” I said opening the door again. Minnie rushed backed in the house and back out holding her favorite stuffed animal. I opened the back door of my car and helped Minnie in and got her in her car seat. I placed the bags in the back seat as I closed the door and got in the drivers seat getting buckled in and started my car. I played some music for Minnie then started to drive to her favorite park.
Once we got to the park I found a parking spot. I turned off my car unbuckled and got out going to help Minnie out grabbing the bags too. “Now when you go play mommy has to hold your stuffie so it you don’t get it dirty or another kid takes it okay.” I said as we started to walk to the playground. “Okay mommy.” Minnie said. I found a bench to sit down on as Minnie handed me her stuffie as she ran off to play. I put her stuffie in my bag as I watched her play.
Twenty minutes later Minnie came back over to me saying she was thirsty. I grabbed the bag of snacks and drinks pulling out a small bottle of water and gave it to her. She took a drink from it then handed it back to me rushing off to go back to play. She started to climb around on the jungle gym. “Little mouse careful.” I said to her. “I know mommy.” Minnie said. I made sure to keep a close eye on her while she was on the jungle gym. She was climbing down when she slipped and fell down. I ran over to her. She was crying and holding her arm. “Mommy my arm hurts.” Minnie said crying. “Let mommy look.” I said softly trying to gently grab her arm. “No! Mommy it hurts!” Minnie said protecting her arm. “Okay. Okay come on little mouse lets go to the hospital then to get your arm looked at.” I said softly helping her up. “I want pa-pa.” Minnie said as we walked back over to the bench to grab my stuff. “I promise I will take you to him after we get your arm looked at.” I said as we walked to the car. I carefully got her back in the car and in her car seat without touching her arm.
After spending hours in the ER trying to keep Minnie calm I finally pulled up to the building at the navy base that dad was in. Minnie was still sniffling. Poor little mouse broke her arm and was currently in a soft cast for a few days. They had to put her under for a bit to rebreak where it was broken to get align the bones better. I parked my car got out and went to get Minnie out. “Do you want mommy to carry you little mouse?” I asked. Minnie nodded still holding her stuffie. “Lets blow your nose first.” I said handing her a tissue. She blew her nose and threw the tissue away in the mini trash can I have in my car. Then she wrapped her arms around my neck as I picked her up and closed the car door as I walked inside. “Y/n.” I heard and saw uncle Beau. “Hey uncle Beau is it okay if we go see dad someone had a rough day and if she has to wait any long for cuddles from her pa-pa she will have another meltdown.” I said. “What happened to her?” Uncle Beau asked. “Slipped off the jungle gym at the park and broke her arm.” I said.  “Yeah of course do you want me to take you two to the room he’s using?” Uncle Beau asked. “No it’s fine can you just let me know how to get there.” I said Uncle Beau nodded and told me how to get to dad’s classroom.
"I want pa-pa." Minnie said clinging to me finally stopped crying. "I know little mouse we're walking to his classroom right now." I said walking to dad's classroom. When I finally found it I knocked on the door not knowing if he class was over yet. "Come in." Dad said. I opened it and walked in to see his class wasn't over yet. "Oh sorry I thought you would be done by now dad." I said. "It's fine. What do we owe this visit." Dad said. "Well there was a little mishap when we went to the park. Little mouse fell just right and broke her arm. We just got done at the ER. She's has a soft cast for a few days and the first thing she wanted when we got done was her pa-pa." I said walking to the front of the classroom. Minnie gave a small wave muttering a small hi when she saw Bradley. "My poor girl." Dad said taking minnie for me.
I sat down in a random seat while Dad went back to finish his class holding minnie. By the time he was done Minnie was sleeping in his arms. I got up walking over to dad. "Sorry again daddy I thought you were done." I said. "No need to apologize sweetie." Dad said handing me Minnie. "Hey how is she?" Bradley asked walking over to us. "Well she didn't like when they had to move her arm to get an xray." I said. "Oh poor little peanut." Bradley said gently rubbing a hand up and down minnie's back. "I didn't know you had a daughter maverick. Not to mention an adorable granddaughter." A guy said. I looked at the name tag that read Seresin. "Well its not any of your business." I said. "Oh feisty." Seresin said stepping closer. "Leave them alone hangman. Bradley can you please walk Y/n and minnie to her car." Dad said. Bradley nodded and walked with us out of the classroom. "Just ignore him. Bagman is all talk. But he was right about your daughter being adorable." A girl said as her and another guy with glasses walking with us. "What's her name?" The guy with glasses asked. "Her name is minnie. My dad and I uses the nickname little mouse. Bradley uses little peanut. Bradley is very protective of his nickname for her." I said. "Am not." Bradley said. "Oh that is a lie if I ever heard one." I said. I heard minnie start to whine. "Mommy my arm hurts." Minnie said. "Okay. Okay little mouse we're go get your medicine and I'll give you it when we get home." I said. "Hey little peanut." Bradley said. "Hi uncle Roo." Minnie said softly. "You doing okay besides your arm hurting?" Bradley asked. Minnie just nodded. "Mommy?" Minnie asked. "What little mouse." I said. "Who are they?" Minnie asked. "Well little peanut that Phoenix and bob." Bradley said. "Hi." Minnie said softly waving with soft cast arm. "You are just the cutest." Phoenix said. "Pa-pa says I'm his little princess." Minnie said. "I bet he does sweetie. I bet you have him wrapped your little finger." Phoenix said. Minnie smiled and nodded. "Mommy can we go home now?" Minnie asked. "Okay little mouse. Say goodbye to uncle Roo, Phoenix and Bob." I said. "Bye." Minnie said waving bye. The three of waved back as I carried minnie to my car. I unlocked one of the back doors and got her in her car seat. "Mommy where's my stuffie?" Minnie asked. That's when I noticed her favorite stuffed animal was now gone.
I quickly looked in my bag and it wasn't there. "I'll text pa-pa and uncle Roo to let them know to be on the look out." I said. "But Mommy I want it." Minnie said starting to pout as her eyes filled up with tears. "Well I'm glad I was able to catch you ladies before you left. I saw this on the classroom floor and immediately you it belong to you little lady." Seresin said walking over to me handing minnie back her stuffed animal. "Thanks. I didn't need another thing to go wrong today." I said. "Don't mention it I saw how she was clinging to that even dead asleep." Seresin said. "Thank you bagman." Minnie said clinging to her stuffie. "It's actually hangman little lady." Seresin said. "But Mommy Phoenix said bagman." Minnie said. "Well that explains it." Seresin said. I couldn't help but laugh a little.  "Maybe you can answer this question for me." Seresin said. "Depends on what it is hangman." I said. "Actually the name is Jake. On each side of your old man's helmet I've noticed two little hand prints. Same with on his name on his plane." Jake said. "Oh those are mine and little mouse here from when we were first born. For awhile he just had mine but after I had her he updated his helmet and had them add her handprint to his plane. To make sure his girls are with him on every flight." I said. "I always heard these stories about your dad. But being that sentimental wasn't one of them." Jake said. "He loves his girls. He always says we're the most important girls in his life." I said. "Can I ask what her name is?" Jake asked. "Her name is minnie." I said. "That explains the little mouse nickname." Jake said. "That's what my dad and I mainly call her that." I said. "Her dad?" Jake asked. "Not in the picture." I said. "She is extremely cute." Jake said. "Thanks I really go to go I still got to go get her medicine." I said. "No I completely get it. Hopefully I'll see you around." Jake said. "Hopefully. Thanks again for bringing her stuffie back before we left." I said. Jake nodded and walked away as I got in my car driving to the pharmacy then home.
The next few days minnie and I stayed home to make sure she didn't hurt her arm further. We were eating breakfast when dad joined us. "Are you sure you don't need me to come with? I’m sure that they would be okay with me coming a little late today." Dad asked. "No it's fine I can manage." I said. "Can you come to the base when you get done. I'm having the recruits do trail runs and little mouse is a perfect part of the punishment." Dad said. "Which is?" I asked. "They do 200 push ups with her on their backs." Dad said. "Can I dress up like a mouse pa-pa?" Minnie asked. "I think that's a great idea little mouse. Ready to be a little mischievous mouse." Dad said. Which made minnie put her hands to her face giggling. "Well let me go get what she'll need." I said getting up. While I went go get her stuff in a bag. "Come on little mouse time to get ready." I said. "Coming mommy." Minnie said. Minnie came running to me. I got her dressed in her favorite shirt from Bradley. Which said little peanut with a cartoon peanut with a bowtie and shorts that had daisy's on them. Then I took her to the bathroom to brush her hair and teeth. "Okay little mouse go watch cartoons while I get ready." I said. "Okay mommy love you." Minnie said. " I love you too little mouse." I said kissing her head. I quickly got ready. I grabbed my bag and Minnie’s bag. I put my phone in my back pocket. “Okay little mouse time to go. Do you want me to grab your stuffie for you?” I said. “Yes please mommy. I need help with my shoes please.” Minnie said. “Okay I’ll come and help after I grab your stuffie.” I said going to her room grabbing her stuffie and walked back to the living room. “Here you go little mouse.” I said handing her stuffie to her then went to grab her shoes. I walked back over to the couch and got her shoes on for her. “Have you decided on a color for your cast yet little mouse?” I asked. “Red because it’s on both pa-pa and uncle Roo helmets.” Minnie said proudly. “Well mommy also put a different color sharpies in her bag so pa-pa and uncle Roo can be the first the sign your cast.” I said. “Thank you mommy.” Minnie said hugging me. I kissed her head and helped her off the couch turning off the TV. Then we left the house and headed to her appointment.
An hour and a half some ice cream later Minnie was proudly looking at her cast. I had promise if she didn’t cry much during the process I would get her some ice cream as a treat. I texted dad to let him know that we were on our way. Once we got to the base I parked and went to help Minnie put her costume on. I added whiskers and a little pink nose. “Now look at this cute little mischievous mouse.” I said tickling her tummy which made her giggle. I helped her down as I grabbed my bag then her noncasted hand as we walked inside and went to Dad’s classroom. “Now look at you little mouse.” Dad said picking Minnie up has she ran into the room. “Pa-pa look at my cast. I got red because that the same color you and uncle Roo both have on your helmets.” Minnie said showing dad her cast. “Wow now would you look at that. I was worried that you and your mom weren’t going to making it back before the recruits got back from lunch.” Dad said. “Well looks like we just made it then.” I said. “Now little mouse I’m going to need you to hide behind the podium okay.” Dad said putting her down. “Now try not to giggle or you might spoil the surprise.” I said. “Okay mommy.” Minnie said as she went behind the podium as I went to sit down in a seat near the front. By the time I did everyone else slowly started to come back into the room from lunch. Jake was the first to notice me as he sat down next to me confused. “You joining to watch your old man torture us? Wait where’s little mouse?” Jake asked. “You’ll see. Play along.” I said whispering the last bit. Jake understood and nodded. “Well cadets I hoped that all of you didn’t have a big lunch because you have more practice dog fights this afternoon.” Dad said but stopped when we could hear Minnie softly giggling. Dad was trying not to crack a smile. “As I was saying the punishment if I kill you will still be the 200 push ups but this time there’s going to be a catch. If more than one of you die in a single round then for one of you not only will you be doing the 200 push ups but you’ll be doing them with a little mischievous mouse on your back.” Dad said as Minnie hopped out from behind the podium. “Awe come on Maverick that’s just cruel if rooster dies she’s not going to pick him.” Phoenix said. “Uh that’s were your wrong phoenix she may look all cute and innocent but one thing she definitely got from her mom is being an evil mastermind.” Bradley said.  I couldn’t help but laugh. “Well he’s not wrong.” I said as minnie ran over to me climbing into my seat with me. “I didn’t giggle mommy.” Minnie said. “I guess it was your mommy I heard giggling then.” Jake said to Minnie smiling at her. Which made her giggle as she leaned into me. “Woah made it was actually you because you and your mom sound just a like when you laugh.” Jake said. “Okay everyone go get suited up girls go to the rec room.” Dad said. I nodded as I lifted minnie off my lap and on to the floor as I got up grabbing my bag and Minnie’s hand as we walked to the rec room.

Kaz arrived home to find Y/N and one of her friends in an intricate position on the carpet. “What are you doing?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yoga and talking about dick,” Y/N replied with a smirk, making her friend giggle.
“Of course you are,” he sighed.
“Kiss?” she asked, looking up at him with a playful glint in her eyes. Kaz looked at her, noting she was half upside down with no easy way to reach her without inappropriately touching her friend. “Maybe later.”
He retreated to the kitchen, listening to their explicit conversation drift in from the living room. As he poured himself a drink, he heard bits of their chat.
“Wait, the one with the mustache?” her friend asked.
“Exactly, he likes when you do nothing, just lay there,” Y/N responded.
“Really? Why did you keep him until now?”
“Are you kidding? I even squeezed naps in between whatever he thinks he’s doing, he always takes hours to finish.”
Kaz’s mind wandered, pondering if she ever discussed him like that when he was her client, imagining her saying  to her roommates that he just wanted to hold her hand and didn't even manage to do that very well. He sighed, knowing that it happened for sure.
“Fine, I’ll take him,” her friend sighed. “But why are you leaving me that lawyer too? You always said he’s really good.”
“I guess now I have someone else that fucks me just right,” laughed Y/N, joined by her friend.
Kaz stopped mid-sip, taken aback. He wasn’t sure if that conversation was meant for him to hear or not. He couldn’t hide a proud smile; he still struggled with the thought of not being enough for her, and that was another reassurance he needed. Her words echoed in his mind, giving him a sense of validation that his efforts were truly appreciated. As he listened to Y/N continue her conversation with her friend, Kaz felt a surge of protectiveness and affection. He wanted to be the one who fulfilled her needs in every aspect of their lives together. The idea that she was willing to adjust her professional boundaries for their relationship was both humbling and gratifying.
“Is he that good?” asked the friend in a conspiratorial tone.
“Oh, he is, and he's a really fast learner.”
“Well, with a teacher like you…”
The girls kept laughing, and Kaz heard them shifting positions. He couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride at Y/N's words. Despite his confidence in most aspects of his life, he still harbored insecurities, given her experience. Hearing her praise meant more to him than he could easily express.
“Can I try him?”
“No way, I’m not leaving him in your dirty hands” replied Y/N.
“Your hands are dirtier than mine,” laughed the other girl.
“Well, he’s my boyfriend,” pointed out Y/N.
“So you are jealous.”
“No, I'm not,” protested Y/N.
“Ask him then.”
He heard her sigh, “Kaz! Do you want to have a threesome with us?”
Kaz paused, considering it. His mind raced through the implications and possibilities. On one hand, he knew Y/N liked to push boundaries and explore new experiences, and he wanted to support her in that. On the other hand, he wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about being shared between the two girls. He decided to play along, if only to see where it might lead. “Sure,” he replied with a smirk.
He heard the noise of the girls falling on the ground, clearly taken aback by his response. A moment later, Y/N peeked into the kitchen, her eyes wide with surprise.
“Really?” she asked, clearly not expecting him to agree.
“No, love,” Kaz laughed at her expectant face, “not yet,” he winked.
Y/N made an amused face before returning to her friend. She always left hints, more or less direct, about what she wanted to try with him, but never made him feel pressured about them. It was one of the things he appreciated most about her—her willingness to explore and communicate without forcing him into anything he wasn’t ready for.
Kaz couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that she was leaving some of her clients, which was unexpected. A small smile tugged at his lips at the implications of that. It meant she was slowly shifting her priorities, and he liked to think it was because of him.
“I've been asked to babysit tonight. I was thinking of bringing her here. Is it a problem?” Y/N asked.
“No, it's fine. I have some work to finish,” Kaz replied, his mind already shifting to the tasks at hand.
“Shower?” she asked with a smirk, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
“Shower,” he replied, letting her take his hand and guide him to the bathroom. They had purposefully chosen a really big shower to be able to share it comfortably. Kaz was feeling more and more comfortable with the contact with wet skin. He had stopped panicking when their fingers brushed while passing things, but they still hadn't gone much further than accidental brushes.
As the warm water cascaded over them, Y/N turned to him with a teasing smile. “Do you know who asked me out?”
“Tell me,” Kaz said, intrigued.
“Pekka Rollins.”
The bottle of body wash Kaz was holding slipped from his grip, crashing onto Y/N’s foot with a dull thud. She yelped in pain, reflexively grabbing his arm to steady herself.
“Kaz, fuck, that hurt,” she exclaimed, her voice filled with pain and surprise.
The sudden contact sent an involuntary shiver through Kaz, his body tensing. He took a long breath, fighting against the surge of instinctual panic that urged him to shove her away. He clenched his jaw, his mind racing with conflicting emotions. He didn't want to hurt her, but her touch was a stark reminder of his ongoing struggle with physical contact.
“Y/N, please let me go,” he muttered under his breath, his voice strained but controlled.
“Sorry, sorry,” she quickly apologized, releasing his arm and stepping back. Her eyes were wide with concern and regret, the pain in her foot momentarily forgotten.
Kaz’s heart pounded as he watched her, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts. He hated how his past still had such a grip on him, how it could intrude on moments like these. He took another deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.
“Pekka Rollins?” he repeated, trying to focus on the issue at hand. He turned off the water, the warmth of the shower suddenly feeling too overwhelming.
“Yeah, can you believe it? I said no, of course,” Y/N replied, her voice softening as she wrapped herself in a towel, her eyes never leaving his face.
Kaz stepped out of the shower, his thoughts racing. The implication of his attempt to ask Y/N on a date sent a fresh wave of anxiety through him. Was it a coincidence, or was it a deliberate move? He needed to know more. Maybe it was time to be more public about their relationship, to send a clear message. Or the opposite? Should they keep it even more private?
“Baby, are you okay?” Y/N asked, her concern evident as she moved closer, her hand gently touching his arm.
“Yeah, sorry,” he said, his voice distant. His mind was still processing the implications, the potential threats.
“Kaz, even if you didn't have history with him, and we weren’t together, I would have never said yes to him, he’s creepy.”
“I know, I know,” Kaz said, leaning on the sink. He looked at his reflection, seeing the tension etched on his face. Turning back to her, he asked, “Why are you leaving some clients?”
Y/N made a small smile, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. “I don't know, just felt like it.”
Kaz hummed, stepping closer to her, needing to understand her reasoning. “Are you sure you don't know?” He reached out, his hand gently cupping her cheek. He liked seeing her trying to stay vague about her intentions, but he needed clarity.
“Oh you know, I was making too much money, didn't want to make you feel bad,” she chuckled, and Kaz knew better than to push further.
A few hours later, they found themselves on the couch, Kaz typing rapidly on his laptop while Y/N and the little girl were engrossed in a Disney movie. The soft glow of the screen illuminated their faces, Y/N’s arm wrapped protectively around the toddler as she watched with wide-eyed fascination. Every now and then, Y/N would lean in, whisper something funny into the girl's ear, earning a burst of giggles that filled the room with warmth.
Kaz kept stealing glances at them, his fingers slowing on the keys as he observed the peaceful scene. They looked so comfortable, nestled together like that, and the thought hit him—Could this be his life? Evenings spent on the couch, kids’ movies playing in the background, worrying about bedtimes, schools, and being present. Being a father.
The notion unsettled him, not because he didn’t want it, but because it was something he never thought he could be. A father. The idea felt foreign, like trying on a coat that didn’t quite fit yet. How could he, with his past, teach someone how to be a good person? How could he be a role model when his life had been so full of darkness, crime, and survival at any cost?
But then, as he glanced over at Y/N, gently stroking the girl's hair as she drifted off to sleep, Kaz felt a flicker of hope. He had overcome so many obstacles he once thought impossible. He had built a life, brick by painful brick, out of ruins. Maybe, just maybe, he could do this too. Not alone—but with Y/N by his side, they could figure it out. Together.
Sensing his gaze, Y/N looked up, her eyes softening as she smiled at him. It was the kind of smile that made him feel grounded, like he could take on the world if she was with him. Kaz smiled back, the corners of his mouth twitching upward in a way that was still new for him. He tried to refocus on the deal in front of him, but his mind kept drifting back to the two of them.
Before thinking about kids, he needed to get one important thing done—proposing to Y/N. He hadn’t yet decided if he should pop the question on a random day, catching her off guard, or plan something more elaborate, like a weekend abroad where they could be alone, away from the weight of the city and his business.
Then there was the wedding. He didn’t want to rush her into anything. They’d take their time, make it theirs. After that, he would have to start extricating himself from the darker, shadier parts of his dealings. He couldn’t bring a child into the world with all that still hanging over his head. But the idea of a future—their future—was something he hadn’t imagined possible until now.
Kaz shook his head slightly, almost in disbelief. His life had shifted so quickly, and yet it felt like everything was falling into place in ways he never thought he deserved.
***
Kaz came home to the smell of cake lingering in the air. Y/N reached him in the entryway, linking her arms around his neck and pulling him in for a kiss. He smiled against her lips at her enthusiastic greeting, feeling the warmth and familiarity of her embrace. “Are you baking something?” he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
“I made three cakes,” she hummed, their noses touching as she spoke. Her hands wandered around his chest, tracing the contours of his muscles. “I'm going out, I have…” She took his lower lip between her teeth playfully, “13 minutes, what do you say?”
Kaz chuckled, his amusement evident. “I say that Jesper is right behind me.”
Y/N glanced over Kaz's shoulder and spotted Jesper standing there with a grin. “Fine by me,” she said with an allusive smile, making Jesper raise an eyebrow.
“Sure, love,” Kaz laughed, shaking his head. “Jesper is staying for dinner.”
“Alright, there's uhm, cake and beer I think,” she said, walking towards the kitchen with a casual sway in her step.
Kaz raised an eyebrow at Jesper, who shrugged at the peculiar menu. “If I don’t have to cook, it's fine.” commented Jesper.
Following her into the kitchen, Kaz rested his hands on her hips as she checked the cake in the oven. “Where are you going?”
“Just home, girls' night watching the Kardashians,” she smiled, turning to face him.
“Did you eat?” Kaz asked, noticing a hint of hesitation in her demeanor.
Y/N hesitated, her eyes darting away for a moment. “Yeah, sure.”
“Y/N,” Kaz said more firmly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at her.
She sighed, her shoulders slumping a little.
Kaz’s expression softened, and he cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing over her cheek. “Y/N-”
“I know,” she replied, looking up at him with a small, apologetic smile. “I’ll eat there.”
Kaz nodded, his fingers lingering on her skin for a moment longer before he let her go. He glanced at the cakes, the sweet aroma filling the kitchen. “That smells amazing, by the way.”
“Thanks,” Y/N said, a bit more cheer in her voice as she turned back to the oven.
Jesper, who had been lingering awkwardly by the door, finally spoke up. “So, what’s the occasion? Or is it just a regular Tuesday cake?”
“Just felt like baking,” Y/N replied with a grin, pulling the last cake out of the oven and setting it on the counter to cool.
After a while, Y/N excused herself to get ready for her night out. Kaz and Jesper settled on the couch, beers in hand. Y/N reappeared in the living room, dressed for the evening. She kissed Kaz passionately goodbye, her lips lingering on his just long enough to leave him wanting more.
"Have fun," Kaz murmured against her lips, feeling a pang of longing as she pulled away.
"I will," she winked, grabbing her bag and heading out the door.
Kaz watched her go, a slight smile on his face. He turned back to Jesper, who was already engrossed in a work document.
About an hour later Kaz and Jesper were immersed in their work, discussing plans and strategies for their next job. The room was filled with the soft clinking of beer bottles and the rustle of papers.
Suddenly, Kaz's phone buzzed, breaking his concentration. He glanced at the screen and saw a message from one of Y/N’s roommates: ‘Can you tell Y/N to answer her damn phone?’
Kaz stared at it, a knot of unease forming in his stomach. They were supposed to be together. His mind started racing, envisioning all sorts of scenarios. As soon as he clicked on the notification to answer, the message got deleted. Kaz frowned even more, feeling a surge of worry. He had no idea what was going on.
"Everything okay?" Jesper asked, noticing Kaz’s troubled expression.
"Yeah," Kaz replied, his eyes still on the now-deleted message. He debated whether to call Y/N or wait for her to get home and talk face-to-face. Was she lying to him? Where did she go? The questions bugged him, leaving him with a strong sense of unease all evening.
When Kaz heard the door open around midnight, he was already in bed, playing on her Switch. The familiar sound of her footsteps echoed through the apartment, accompanying the tension building inside of him.
Y/N peered into the bedroom, "Hey," she greeted softly, heading to the bathroom to take off her makeup.
Kaz tried to keep his composure, thinking about the imminent conversation. He wanted answers, but he didn't want to accuse her unfairly. His mind raced with conflicting thoughts, each one making him more anxious.
Minutes later, she emerged, half-naked, her skin glowing in the soft light. She climbed directly into his lap, snatching away the console from his hands to get his attention. Kaz's eyes couldn't help but get lost in the sight of her cleavage, particularly the new tattoo she had between her breasts that made focusing increasingly difficult.
"Hi," she said with a smile, guiding his hands to her waist.
"Hey," he replied slowly, his mind still on the text.
"How was your day?" she purred in his ear, rocking her hips slightly against him.
"Good," he said, his breath hitching as she bit his neck. He knew he had to ask her, “Love?”
Y/N hummed against his skin in return, her hands wandering on his body.
“Lia texted me, telling me to make you answer the phone,” he said, purposefully using the wrong name to gauge her reaction.
Y/N didn’t falter. “Lia? We were together. You mean Mia?” She corrected him without hesitation.
Kaz felt a mixture of relief and suspicion. She corrected him well, but was she just quick on her feet? “Yeah, Mia. She wasn’t with you?” He allowed her to guide his mouth to her neck, humming in satisfaction as he kissed her.
“No, she has this new guy,” Y/N explained, her hand sliding inside his boxer, skillfully working him up.
Kaz struggled to maintain his focus. “Why didn’t you answer her?” he asked, his voice strained.
“My phone was on mute,” Y/N replied, her hand’s movements making it increasingly hard for him to concentrate.
“Why did she delete the message?” he asked, feeling his resolve slipping away.
“I don’t know. She must have remembered that I wasn't with you,” Y/N said, her hand working him more intensely now, making him forget his doubts as pleasure took over.
Kaz’s mind fogged over, his earlier concerns buried under a wave of desire. He wanted to trust her, wanted to believe in their relationship. As Y/N’s lips found his again, he decided to let go for the moment, losing himself in her touch and the reassurance of her presence.
***
They spent the next morning in bed, between sloppy kisses and drifting back in and out of sleep. The sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over them. Y/N curled against Kaz, her head resting on his chest as his fingers lazily traced patterns on her back. They exchanged lazy smiles, savoring the rare luxury of a morning without obligations.
"Do we have to get up?" Y/N murmured, her voice thick with sleep.
Kaz chuckled, his hand moving to play with a strand of her hair. "Not unless you want to. We can stay here all day if you’d like."
She nuzzled closer, planting a gentle kiss on his chest. "Good, because I’m not ready to leave this bed."
Kaz tightened his arm around her, drawing her even nearer. "Neither am I."
They lay in comfortable silence, the only sounds being their steady breathing and the occasional rustle of sheets as they adjusted their positions. Kaz’s mind drifted back to the previous night, the lingering worries pushed aside by the sheer contentment of the present moment. He felt Y/N’s fingers dance across his skin, a soothing rhythm that kept him grounded.
"I love mornings like this," Y/N said softly, her breath warm against his chest.
"Me too," Kaz replied, kissing the top of her head.
Their kisses grew more fervent, passion slowly rekindling. Y/N rolled onto her back, pulling Kaz with her. He hovered above her, their eyes locked in a silent conversation filled with love and desire. The connection between them felt stronger than ever, a silent promise of their commitment to each other.
***
But the doubts of the previous night crept back into Kaz’s mind when Y/N disappeared again that evening with another vague excuse. He had a work thing and returned home late, finding her already asleep. He stood in the doorway, watching her peaceful form beneath the blankets. She had once told him she cheated on all her previous boyfriends, but Kaz believed he was different. He thought he could be the one she wouldn’t stray from. He needed clarity, but he didn’t want to accuse her without evidence.
Her phone buzzed persistently on his side of the bed, pulling his attention. He knew it was wrong, that invading her privacy would be a betrayal of trust, but his doubts gnawed at him. With a heavy heart and hands shaking with guilt, Kaz reached for her phone.
He glanced at her one last time. She had an arm draped over the pillow, her face nestled into it, completely oblivious. He began checking her notifications: three were from clients, one was a payment confirmation. Kaz's tension eased slightly, but the unread messages from the tennis guy caught his attention. Fifteen unread messages, all asking to see her and seeking explanations for her sudden absence. This information eased his mind somewhat; it seemed she wasn’t with him at least. But still, there was no clue as to where she had been that evening.
Kaz's thoughts raced. He considered waking her to confront her, but he knew that would lead to a defensive argument and likely no answers. Instead, he decided to wait for the morning. He would ask her directly, hoping for honesty. He placed her phone back on the nightstand, gently, as if it might shatter under any more pressure.
He undressed quietly and slid into bed beside her, careful not to disturb her. His mind replayed every interaction they had over the past few weeks, searching for signs he might have missed. He loved her deeply, and the thought of her betraying that trust tore at him. But Kaz also knew he had to be rational, not let jealousy cloud his judgment.
***
The next morning, Kaz woke up to the smell of coffee and breakfast. Y/N was in the kitchen, humming softly as she cooked. The sight of her in one of his shirts, moving gracefully around their shared space, made his heart ache. He joined her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder.
“Morning,” she said cheerfully, turning her head to give him a quick kiss. “I made your favorite.”
“Morning,” Kaz replied, his voice steady but his mind racing. Looking at her so at ease made it impossible for him to start the conversation. He decided to trust her, at least for now.
‘I’m babysitting tonight,’ her text pulled him out of the books of the Crow Club. Kaz couldn’t help but ask himself if it was a lie or not. He shook his head, the bittersweet flavor of doubt lingering in his mouth. If he had decided to trust her that morning, then why had he slipped an AirTag inside her car when he went out?
He checked her location obsessively. Y/N stayed home until around 4 when her car made the journey to her other house to work. At 7, Kaz received another text, Just finished work. I’ll be home around 11, you?’
He contemplated his response. ‘Still not sure,’ he decided to reply.
About an hour later, her car started to move, and Kaz’s heart was about to explode. He came close to praying that she would turn toward her friends’ house to babysit, but she didn’t. Her car stopped in the parking lot of a hotel. A nice one, but not nice enough for her to be with one of her clients. His heart sank; he couldn’t believe it.
Kaz had no idea what to do. He didn’t want to confront her, didn’t want to accept the truth that it was really happening. He texted her that he wouldn’t be able to come back home that night and decided to bury himself in work and alcohol.
Kaz made his way home not too early the next morning, and he met Y/N as she was going to the gym. “Hi, love,” she greeted him with a smile, kissing his jaw. “Where were you last night?” she asked.
Kaz did his best not to scoff. Where were you?  he wanted to ask, but instead, he just shrugged, “Work stuff.”
Y/N hummed, her hand still on his cheek. “I could make it up to you after Pilates,” she said, batting her eyes.
“I’m probably going to sleep all day,” he said, and Y/N frowned, clearly taken aback by his rejection. “Are you free after dinner?”
Y/N made a tight smile. “I think I’m busy.”
Kaz nodded, his heart breaking. He didn’t even ask her what she had to do; he couldn’t bear to hear another lie. He just kissed her forehead and let her go.
As she walked away, Kaz felt a gnawing emptiness. He trudged to the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed, the weight of his suspicions pressing down on him. The AirTag had confirmed his worst fears, but he was still clinging to the hope that there was some explanation, some reason that didn’t involve betrayal.
***
After an entire week of lies, Kaz found himself outside the hotel, his heart pounding in his chest. All their conversations flashed through his mind—their shared moments of vulnerability, her doubts, the times she had warned him that she would only end up hurting him. Her ex-boyfriend’s words haunted him, taunting him with the prophecy that Kaz would become just like him. At the time, it seemed impossible, but now he was right there, having looked through her phone and stalked her location. Kaz laughed at the bitter irony, shaking his head.
The ring was still waiting for her, carefully hidden away. What was he supposed to do if they broke up? Take it back to the shop? Sell it? Dramatically throw it in the harbor?
After about an hour, Kaz spotted Y/N leaving the hotel, a man walking closely behind her. They stopped to talk for a while, but when the man cupped her cheek with his hand, Kaz couldn’t take it anymore. He strode towards them, his anger boiling over.
“Y/N,” he said coldly as he reached them. Y/N turned, her eyes wide with shock. “Kaz, what are you doing here?”
A manic laugh escaped his lips. “Me? What are you doing here? You always said you didn’t work outside your house, so what the fuck?”
“Work?” asked the man, puzzled.
“Kaz, wait,” Y/N began, her voice pleading.
“No, Y/N, come on, not even six months?”
“Love-”
“Who is this?” the man asked.
“He’s my boyfriend,” she replied softly.
“I was about to fucking propose to you, Y/N,” Kaz shouted.
Y/N froze, but then a small smile spread on her lips. “What?”
“You heard me. Why did you have to do this?”
“Kaz-”
“I can’t believe this is happening, Y/N.”
“KAZ!”
“Why, Y/N-”
“This is my father.”
Kaz stopped dead in his tracks, his mind struggling to process her words. “Your father?” he repeated, his voice barely more than a whisper.
The man nodded uncomfortably, clearly sensing the tension. “Yes, I’m her father.”
“I know I told you they were dead, but—” Y/N began, her voice trembling.
“They’re not. Alice told me,” Kaz said softly.
Y/N looked confused. “When did you talk to her?”
Kaz felt a surge of embarrassment for the scene he had just caused. “When I asked her for her blessing to marry you,” he admitted, his voice tinged with regret.
Y/N’s eyes widened, then a laugh bubbled up, her amusement genuine despite the tension. “You asked for her blessing? You're so old-fashioned, baby,” she teased, reaching out to touch his arm.
Kaz and Y/N’s father exchanged an uncomfortable glance. Kaz wanted to disappear, feeling the weight of his lack of trust in her. As he looked closer at her father, he could see the resemblance between them—a shared softness in their eyes, the same determined set to their jaws.
Y/N took control of the situation, turning to her father with a reassuring smile. “So, this is my boyfriend, Kaz. I’ve talked to you about him.”
Kaz extended his hand, and they shook. He felt a bit under scrutiny, the older man's gaze assessing him. “My pleasure. I’ve heard a lot about you,” Y/N’s father said with a tight smile.
Kaz nodded, feeling both relief and unease. He didn’t know much about Y/N’s parents; she had preferred to think of them as dead. Now, he found himself unsure of what to say.
“You went to Alice to ask for her hand—that's a nice thing to do,” her father continued, trying to bridge the gap.
“Thank you, sir,” Kaz replied politely, feeling the formalities help ground him amidst the turmoil. The awkwardness hung in the air, thick and palpable. He was acutely aware of the judgmental glances exchanged between Y/N and her father, each assessing the other’s significance in her life.
Her father nodded, looking slightly more at ease but still wary. “I appreciate that. It shows respect.”
Kaz forced a smile, trying to read the man in front of him. He knew so little about him, yet this stranger was so crucial to Y/N’s life and past. “It felt like the right thing to do. Y/N means a lot to me.”
Y/N’s father gave a small, approving nod. “I’m glad to hear that.”
Kaz nodded, understanding the weight of those words. “I know. I’m here for her, always.”
Y/N watched the exchange, her eyes darting between them. She placed a hand on Kaz’s arm, grounding him further. “I think we should catch up another time. There’s a lot we need to discuss, but not here.”
Her father glanced at her, then at Kaz, before nodding in agreement. “You’re right. We’ll talk soon.” He turned to Kaz, offering a hand again. “It was good to meet you, Kaz. Take care of her.”
Kaz shook his hand firmly. “I will, sir.”
Once alone, Kaz and Y/N locked eyes. The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words and lingering emotions. Kaz took a deep breath, struggling to find the right words to apologize.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N, I—”
“I was acting shady, I understand, Kaz,” she interrupted, her arms hugging herself defensively.
“No, I crossed the line. I should’ve talked to you instead of jumping to conclusions.”
“I should’ve come to you too,” she replied, looking away with a sigh. “Usually, I love public scenes, but how about we go home?”
Kaz nodded with a small smile, relief washing over him. “I have to stop at work for a second, but I’ll reach you there.”
He turned to go to his car, but Y/N grabbed him by the arm, her serious gaze locking onto his. “Kaz,” she said, her voice steady and filled with emotion, “I love you.”
Kaz felt a weight lift from his chest at her words. “I love you,” he replied, squeezing her hand reassuringly before walking away.
Kaz didn’t go to his office. Instead, he went to buy flowers and those vegan chocolates Y/N liked. He wanted to show her how much she meant to him and how sorry he was for doubting her.
When Kaz arrived home, he found Y/N making drinks in the kitchen. She had changed into one of his shirts, which hung loosely on her and exposed her legs. The sight of her like this made his heart ache with love and regret. She looked up and smiled at him, her eyes softening when she saw the flowers and chocolates.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, stepping closer to her. He kissed her temple and handed her the gifts.
Her smile widened as she accepted them. “You didn’t have to,” she said, but Kaz could see the happiness in her eyes.
“I wanted to,” he replied, his voice earnest. “I needed to.”
They settled on the couch, drinks in hand, the atmosphere between them more relaxed now.
Kaz settled next to Y/N on the couch, feeling the need to clear the air further. “He contacted me a few weeks ago,” she started, her voice tentative. “Said he wanted to get to know me. I wanted to understand his intentions before talking about it.”
“Why?” Kaz asked, his brow furrowing.
“I don't know,” she admitted, looking away. “I didn’t want to jinx it, I think. I was afraid that if I talked about it, it might not turn out the way I hoped.”
Kaz nodded, understanding the fear of misplacing her hopes. “What do you think about him now?”
Y/N sighed, leaning back against the couch. “I still don’t know. He seems sincere, but at the same time, his family has no idea I exist. It’s complicated.”
Kaz gathered his thoughts, knowing he had to come clean. “I thought you were cheating on me,” he confessed. “I went through your phone one time while you were sleeping. I even put an AirTag in your car and followed your position.”
Y/N’s eyes widened slightly, but she remained calm. “That’s fucked up, love,” she said, though her tone was not accusatory.
Kaz cradled his head in his hands, feeling the weight of his actions. “I know. I’m so sorry. I was paranoid and I let my fears get the best of me.”
“I can understand, Kaz,” Y/N said softly. “I did everything I could to make you doubt me. I always repeated how unworthy of trust I was, so it’s not surprising that at the first sign of shadiness, you thought the worst.”
“You’re not mad?” he asked, lifting his head to meet her gaze.
“I mean, I didn’t think you would actually do those kinds of things, but I can understand why it happened,” she replied. Her eyes were filled with understanding and sadness. “I know you’re not a crazy stalker.”
Kaz pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her tightly. He was immensely grateful for how things had evolved. “I’ll do better,” he whispered. “I’ll trust you, and I won’t let anything ruin what we have.”
Y/N nodded against his chest, her arms around him just as tightly. “And I’ll be more open with you,” she promised. “No more secrets.”
They sat like that for a while, the silence between them comfortable and filled with unspoken promises. Kaz felt a sense of relief wash over him, knowing they had come through this stronger.
Kaz felt a surge of anticipation as Y/N's grin widened. “So, you were about to propose?” she asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
“I still am,” he replied, determination clear in his voice as he stood up. He walked to the safe, feeling the weight of the moment pressing on him.
It wasn't absolutely the proposal he imagined, but with her, nothing went as he planned.
With steady hands, he retrieved the ring, taking a final look at it in its box. It was perfect, just like the moment he had been envisioning, despite all the turmoil they had been through.
Y/N covered her mouth with her hands, her eyes wide with disbelief and joy. “Is this really happening?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Kaz nodded, feeling a rush of adrenaline as he dramatically dropped to one knee. He ignored the sharp pain that shot through his leg, focusing entirely on her. The sight of her laughter and tears mingling together filled him with warmth.
“Y/N,” he began, his voice strong but filled with emotion, “will you marry me?”
She opened her mouth, uncertainty written all over her face, but he gently cut her off. “I want you to know that I'll wait for you. You said one day you're going to leave your job. I'll wait for that day. If it's tomorrow, or in ten years, I don't care.”
Her eyes softened, tears welling up. “Will you? Really?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
“Yes,” he affirmed, his eyes locking onto hers with unwavering sincerity.
Y/N's face lit up with a radiant smile, her hands trembling as she reached out to him. “Yes, I'll marry you,” she said, her voice choked with emotion.
Kaz slid the ring onto Y/N’s finger, the smooth metal encircling her finger with a perfect fit. The moment felt suspended in time, the culmination of all their shared experiences and deep feelings. He stood up slowly, his heart pounding as he pulled her into a tight embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of her heartbeat against his chest. The warmth and intimacy of the moment were overwhelming, a powerful affirmation of their love.
Y/N responded by kissing him deeply and passionately, her lips pressing against his with an intensity that conveyed all the love and commitment that words couldn't fully capture. Her kiss was both a promise and a celebration, a silent testament to the depth of her feelings.
They pulled back slightly, their foreheads resting against each other, eyes locked in a gaze that spoke volumes. “I love you,” Kaz whispered, his voice filled with tenderness and relief, the words almost a sacred vow.
“I love you,” Y/N replied, her eyes shining with happiness, reflecting the joy and gratitude she felt. Her voice trembled with emotion, each syllable laced with sincerity.
Kaz looked at her, his gaze softening as he took in the sight of his fiancée, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. Taking a shaky breath, he couldn’t help but tease her gently. “Are you crying?” he asked, shoving her slightly with a smile.
Y/N laughed nervously, her tears slipping freely down her cheeks. “Yes, I’m fucking crying,” she admitted, her voice trembling as she met Kaz’s gaze. “No one ever showed me this kind of respect before. I always thought I wasn’t worthy of it, you know? I never expected someone to be so committed, so... real with me. It’s a lot to take in.”
She took a deep, shaky breath, trying to steady her emotions. “It’s just... I’ve been through so much. I always felt like I had to fight for every bit of validation, every ounce of respect. No one ever really took me seriously. I was always the one who had to prove herself, to show that I was worth something.” Her voice wavered, the vulnerability clear as she continued. “And I ended up doing it to myself too, you know? I learned to doubt my worth, to think that maybe I wasn’t deserving of something real.”
Her eyes shimmered with fresh tears as she looked at Kaz, the weight of her past struggles mingling with the joy of the present. She swallowed hard, trying to steady her voice. “It’s a bit overwhelming,” she said softly, her breath catching. “I never allowed myself to believe I could have something like this. I’ve always held back, convinced myself that I wasn’t deserving of this kind of happiness.”
Kaz’s heart ached at the sight of her vulnerability. He gently cupped her face, his thumbs brushing away the tears that continued to spill. His gaze was intense and full of emotion as he spoke, each word measured and sincere. “Thanks to you, I’ll be able to have a normal life,” he began, his voice carrying a profound sincerity. “I thought I would never be able to be so comfortable with someone. You might not realize it, but you’ve changed everything for me. I wasn’t able to hold someone’s hand without feeling like I was suffocating before meeting you. I couldn’t get kissed without throwing up from anxiety.”
He paused, taking a deep breath, trying to capture the gravity of his feelings. “You’ve made me feel things I thought I’d never experience. You’ve shown me what it’s like to be loved without fear, to be with someone who understands me and accepts me completely. I’ll be grateful every single day for this— for you.”
Kaz’s thumbs continued to caress her cheeks gently, as if trying to imprint the moment in his memory. “You’ve given me a chance to live a life I never thought was possible. And every time I look at you, every time I hold you, I’m reminded of how lucky I am.”
She managed to laugh a bit, her voice carrying a light, playful edge. “You ruined my reputation,” she teased, her eyes still glistening with emotion.
Kaz chuckled, his fingers gently drying a tear from her cheek. “How are you going to survive?” he asked, his tone light but filled with affection.
“I guess we’ll find out,” she replied with a wink, the playful spark in her eyes returning.
Kaz scooped her up effortlessly, though his limp was more pronounced as he carried her toward their bedroom. She playfully protested, giggling and squirming in his arms, but he just smiled, determined to make their moment special.
They stumbled onto the bed, laughing and catching each other in a deep, lingering kiss.
“Can you believe that we’re engaged?” Kaz murmured against her skin, his lips brushing over her shirt as he kissed her nipple through the fabric. “I won, love.”
“You won?” she hummed, scratching his head affectionately. “I didn’t realize it was a competition.”
“Of course it was,” Kaz grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “I’m here to claim my prize.” He lifted her shirt with a flourish, trailing kisses down her stomach, reveling in the way she arched under him.
“My friends won’t believe it,” she whispered, her voice a soft murmur as she relaxed into his touch.
Kaz smiled against her warm skin. “Why not?”
“Let’s say I always had strong opinions about how boring committed relationships are,” she admitted, her tone playful yet sincere.
He bit gently at her hip bone, making her hiss in response. “Are you bored?”
“Not yet,” she teased with a satisfied smile.
“You always said you wanted children,” Kaz said, his curiosity piqued. “How did that fit into your plans?”
“Oh, it was good,” she replied, a mischievous glint in her eye. “All four of us were supposed to have the same sperm donor and raise our children together in a big, confusing family.”
Kaz hummed against her inner thigh, mulling over the unconventional plan. It didn’t sound all that bad. “Can I send it to them?” she asked, holding up her phone to show him a picture.
Kaz glanced at the screen, seeing his head clearly positioned between her legs, but the explicit part of the scene was partially obscured by her hand that displayed the engagement ring. He grinned, thinking it would make a great wallpaper for his phone. “Just to them, and to me,” he agreed with a crooked smile, returning to his affectionate attention.
“We could use it for our engagement party invitations,” she laughed, tossing her phone aside as she surrendered to the pleasure, her head falling back against the pillows.
“Matthias would carve his eyeballs out,” Kaz laughed.
Kaz increased the rhythm of his tongue, his fingers working in tandem, sensing her growing restlessness and the mounting pleasure.
“Are you going to tease me all night?” she whined, her voice tinged with frustration and desire.
“Yes,” Kaz replied with a smirk.
“I’m sorry for the neighbors then,” she moaned loudly, her voice thick with pleasure as Kaz gently nudged her clit with his teeth. Her moans filled the room, mingling with the soft rustling of the sheets and their shared breaths.
Kaz’s heart raced at the sound of her unrestrained sounds, each one a testament to the pleasure he was giving her. He loved how vocal she was, her cries of ecstasy echoing off the walls and cutting through the silence of the night.
Her reactions were music to his ears, each moan and gasp a reminder of how alive she was beneath his touch, silencing the voices in his head. With every cry she released, Kaz felt a sense of liberation.
He reveled in the way her body responded to him, how her hips arched and her breaths came in quick, uneven gasps. Her hands gripped the sheets tightly, and he could feel her heart racing beneath his fingertips. It was a visceral, intoxicating experience, and he found himself lost in the sensation of her warmth and the sound of her voice.
***
The next morning, Kaz was jolted awake by a cacophony of voices coming from the hallway. Groggy and irritated, he threw on some sweatpants and stumbled toward the noise, which was clearly escalating into a full-blown argument. As he got closer, y/n’s voice cut through the chaos with a sharp edge.
“I’m so sorry if your husband can’t get it up anymore!” y/n shouted, her tone laced with mocking.
Kaz rubbed his eyes and shook his head, a smirk tugging at his lips. He could hear the muffled responses of their neighbors, but y/n’s voice was the loudest, filled with defiance.
“You know what? Maybe if you didn’t spend so much time eavesdropping on us, and more getting down on her, you wouldn’t have to be so uptight!” she continued, her voice rising.
Kaz reached the hallway and saw y/n standing with their disgruntled neighbors, their faces a blend of shock and fury. The couple from next door were clearly at their breaking point, their eyes wide with indignation.
Kaz leaned against the doorframe, an amused smirk playing on his lips as he surveyed the chaotic scene unfolding before him. “What’s going on here?” he asked, barely containing his laughter.
The husband’s face was a deep shade of red, his anger palpable. “Your noise last night was out of control!” he roared, his voice shaking with frustration.
Y/n, clearly at her limit, threw her hands up in exasperation. “Oh, please! Have you ever had good sex in your life? Maybe if you did, you wouldn’t be such a stickler about it!”
Kaz struggled between laughter and embarrassment. “We got engaged last night,” he said, trying to provide some context, “we were celebrating.”
The wife shot him a look that could have frozen fire. “It’s not just about one night! It’s about being considerate! You’re disturbing everyone!”
Y/n’s eyes narrowed, her temper flaring. “It wasn’t even that long!”
The husband’s jaw dropped in disbelief. “You went on for almost three hours! We were trying to watch a movie!”
Y/n’s smirk widened as she turned to Kaz, clearly enjoying the moment. “Almost three hours? Good job, baby.”
The neighbors scoffed, their faces a mix of shock and indignation. Kaz, now thoroughly red-faced, tried to hide his grin, feeling both mortification and amusement.
The wife’s face contorted with frustration. “This is absolutely ridiculous! You can’t just make everyone else miserable because you’re celebrating!”
Kaz couldn’t hold back any longer. “You’re the only  one complaining, just turn up your volume a bit.”
The husband glared at him, but Kaz’s easygoing demeanor seemed to infuriate him even more. “We’re going to the building manager with this. This isn’t over!”
As they stormed off, Kaz turned to y/n, shaking his head with a mix of disbelief and amusement. “That was something.”
Y/n laughed, stepping closer to him. “I’d say they needed to get a life. They can’t handle a little excitement now and then.”
Kaz grinned, pulling her into an embrace. “They were right.”
“They were absolutely right,” agreed y/n laughing.
notes: hope you liked a bit of a rollercoaster here:) I'm sorry to say that next part is going to be the last, we've made this journey with them and they kept us entertained all summer but now it's time to let them live happily.

Online/Offline [C.S] - ninety-two | Mission Accomplished, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You sat on the couch and stroked Byeol as she napped, curled up in your lap.
“I know you don’t drink coffee, so here’s some hot chocolate.” San handed you the mug and sat next to you.
“Thank you,” you yawned. You took a sip of your drink and then combed your fingers through your hair and tried to fix the mess it became while sleeping. You looked over at Yunho, he seemed to be doing a not-so-bad job of making pancakes.
“She looks comfy.” San said as he gestured to Byeol.
You smiled. “Do you think cats know when people feel bad?”
“Mmm… I don’t know. Sometimes when I’m sad Byeol will come over to me so… maybe she does.” He smoothed his hand over her fur once.
You nodded.
He watched you for a few moments as you pet her. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“Yeah, I guess. I mean, I probably should.”
You went quiet again and he watched you as he waited.
“Sometimes I wish I were a cat. Then I wouldn’t have to deal with any of this.”
“But you wouldn’t be able to play video games.”
“So? I’d be a cat. I’d have no idea video games even exist. I’d play the games Feather Toy and Ball of Yarn.”
He watched you, a half-smile on his lips from your joke.
You sighed.
“So how do you feel?”
You sighed again. “Better, now that Byungchul is being held by the cops and I know he can’t bother me.”
He nodded. “That has to be a weight off your shoulders.”
“Yeah, it definitely is.”
“I’ll talk to the legal team today and ask her how the case is coming.”
“They’ll have something already?”
“Yeah, they’re pretty fast workers.”
You nodded, impressed.
“So… should we tell the cops we’re dating or…?”
“Oh yeah, about that. We can stop fake dating in real life now, too. Since he’s behind bars and all.”
San’s eyes widened. “Oh-- oh yeah. We should stop pretending to date.”
“Yeah, I mean, Mission Accomplished, right? ‘We got em’.”
“Yeah. You’re right.”
San looked and sounded dejected to you. You watched him out of the corner of your eye as he went back to petting Byeol.
“Are you okay?”
“Hmm? Yeah, I’m fine.” He smiled.
You nodded. You supposed you were wrong. “He knew it was fake too, so I guess we didn’t do that good of a job.”
He nodded with a laugh. “Well, at least I can take solace in the fact that I’m a much better real boyfriend than a fake one.”
You laughed loudly. “Well, then that’s all the more reason to break off our fake relationship; I wouldn’t want to get in anyone’s way.”
He looked at you. “‘Anyone’s way’?”
“You know. Anyone who wants to date you. If you fake date me, you won’t be able to actually date someone else--”
He opened his mouth to speak.
“--And anyway, Byungchul hopefully won’t bother me for a while, so we don’t need to pretend to be more than friends anyway.”
He thought for a second, closed his mouth, and nodded. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
You nodded and forced yourself to smile. “And anyway, since no one will expect you to stream with me anymore, you’re free.” You gestured like you were shooing an animal away. “I cut you loose, you’re free. You can do whatever you want with your free time and real date whoever you want.”
He nodded again. “Yeah, I guess I can.”
You went back to petting Byeol for a few moments before she got up, stretched, and moved over to San’s lap. You smiled, you supposed she was a daddy’s girl after all.
San looked up at you, noticed your smile, and scratched behind her ears.
“Hey, I’m done. Breakfast is ready.” Yunho smiled.

mornings with wednesday
i wrote this while super drunk so please bear with me. i love y’all so much i hope you enjoy 💕
Tumblr media
dating wednesday addams was a crazy experience. she didn’t quite know how to express emotions, but she tried for you. she held the door open, kissed your knuckles, allowed you to pick on her without killing you, etc. your favorite part, however, was mornings with your lovely, goth girlfriend. it was currently 5 am and you could feel wednesday trying to get out of your grasp.
“wednesday stop-“
“no. it’s 5, i need to get up. you should too.” you can see her braided hair was slightly messy and she didn’t have any makeup on. she looked beautiful.
“can we please cuddle for another five minutes?”
“why must you always ask this? you know i say no every time so just let me get up.” she sees your face turn a little sour so she sighs and leans in to give you a kiss. she finally gets up and leaves for the bathroom to take a shower. you stare at the door for a couple seconds before starting to close your eyes again, only to hear wednesday yell, “don’t go back to sleep,” through the door. you never understood how she knew you that well. so well she could tell your every move, even when she couldn’t see you. you disregarded her words anyway, and took a nap until she got out of the bathroom.
“i thought i gave you explicit instructions.” you simple smile at her and she deadpans back at you.
“i’m tired what can i say my love?”
“you can say nothing and get out of bed.”
“whatever.” you say while finally getting out of bed. you get dressed in your uniform while wednesday changes into the same uniform but all black. just looking at her made you fall even deeper in love. she always looked so composed. even when it’s 5:45 am and her hair is down and… wait. her hair is down. it was longer than you expected, very wavy. she looked absolutely elegant, but you knew she’d braid her hair again. it’s never not braided after all. why not make the morning just a tad bit romantic.
“wednesday?” you asked while conjuring up the sweetest voice you could find.
“yes mi amor?”
“can i braid your hair… please?”
wednesday paused. she never let anyone touch her hair. it was her thing. she always needed to look composed, it didn’t matter who she was with. as long as she was composed she’d be fine. she can’t act nervous right now because it makes her lose control of her body. and when she loses control of her body she loses control of her words. “you want to- what?… umm why may i… ask?”
“because i love you and i want to make you feel beautiful. and if doing your hair will do that then i must braid your hair.” you shrug. deep down your real reason was to be close to wednesday. you loved her. her shampoo, her hair, her face. not only that but her personality, her charisma, her style. you loved the girl in front of you with everything you could. and in return she loved you. she sat in front of you as you started dividing her hair and getting to work. she was nervous (though she’d rather swim through a pool of her own blood than admit that). she loved your gentle touches and how you can make her feel like a precious doll. now wednesday hated feeling weak, but with you she didn’t feel that way. she instead felt loved. every smile you sent her way was true love. every time you reached for her hand when you were nervous was true love. every time you apologize for pulling her hair a little too hard was true love. you both were so in love with each other and neither of you were scared to admit it. “oh mi amor, you did such a good job on my hair.” the goth praises while giving you a kiss of the nose.
“of course i did! i tried my hardest. now it’s 6:15 we need to get breakfast.”
“of course after you my love.” she says while opening the door for you and giving a false bow to show how chivalrous she is.

Elita One's Twin sister reaction from Dinobots and Wreck-Gar
SFW, Platonic, Hinted romance, Cybertronain (techno organic) reader
TFA
Set Pre- Sentinel and Elita reunion.
Buddy needed some space.
She and Megatron had gotten into a petty argument that day.
What was it about? She couldn’t tell you.
She just knew that she was angry and well she was good at holding grudges.
Was fighting with the Decepticon leader the smartest thing to do? Probably not
But she knew Megatron, he wasn’t that kind of mech towards her.
She decided to leave the base at night and go on an evening stroll.
Buddy walking by the docks still a bit fuming.
“Stinkin’ Megatron… and his arrogant, dumb face… and big frame… and lovely red optics… I’m losing it, aren’t I?”--Buddy
“I’m losing it!”
Buddy jumping nearly 20 feet in the air.
“Who’s there?!”--Buddy
Figure on the junk ship waving.
“I’m losing it!”
“…”--Buddy
Buddy swung up to the ship and made her way towards the figure.
She was surprised to see a mech sitting in the center of the pile playing around with the junk.
Buddy asked if he needed help.
He just starts playing with junk.
That’s when Buddy noticed his pede stuck on one of the ships gears.
How wasn’t he in pain!? At least complaining?
“Primus how aren’t you scream?!”--Buddy
“I can scream if you want!”—Wreck-Gar
“Maybe don’t do that.”--Buddy
Buddy pulling on his pede over and over again trying to get it out.
One last pull, Buddy yanked it out landing on another pile of junk.
The mech belly flopping on the junk next to Buddy.
“This is fun! Fun! Fun! Wreck-Gar having the best time with new friend!”—Wreck-Gar
“Wreck-Gar? Is that your name?”--Buddy
“Yes! I am Wreck-Gar and I Dare to be Stupid!”—Wreck-Gar
“… well, you’re not wrong I guess.”--Buddy
“And you are?”—Wreck-Gar
“Oh, I’m Buddy.”--Buddy
“Buddy? Buddy. Buddy!”—Wreck-Gar
“Yes, that’s my—”--Buddy
Wreck-Gar stands up and marches around happily.
“I like the sound! Buddy! Buddy! Buddy! Buddy!”—Wreck-Gar
Wreck-Gar gets down on one knee in front of Buddy.
Buddy backs up a bit with the most surprised look on her face.
Wreck-Gar pulls out a little box from his subspace.
“Wreck-Gar! What are you doing?”--Buddy
Meanwhile with Megatron…
Megatron tossing and turning a bit in his berth.
His servos clenched into fists.
Back at the docks…
Wreck-Gar opens the little box revealing two friendship bracelets.
“Buddy, will you make me the happiest bot on this junk pile… and be my Best Buddy for life!”—Wreck-Gar
Buddy sighing with so much relief, slipping the bracelet into her subspace.
“Sure Wreck-Gar, I’ll be your friend.”--Buddy
Back at the Decepticon base…
Megatron sighing so hard he falls back to sleep.
The two talked for a bit more before Buddy decided to start heading home.
Wreck-gar simply waves bye before going back to his junk crafts.
Strange bot indeed.
She continued her walk when she heard a bunch of footsteps heading her way.
Quickly she hid in one of the open cargo containers.
It was fine.
Until they closed the door.
Sure, Buddy could have easily gotten out, but she didn’t want to freak out the human dock workers.
The best ones were hard to find now a days and she didn’t want them to suffer for her mistake. She thought to herself that it would be fine if she stayed there for a bit.
She could go for a nap anyways.
Buddy thought she slept for a couple of minutes max.
Not an entire hour!
Buddy rubbing her helm a bit while sitting in the container.
“Maybe I should get more sleep… Nah.”--Buddy
Buddy looks around the container.
“I should probably start opening the—”--Buddy
SNAP!
Suddenly she felt the entire container go on its side and a short free fall before it hit the ground.
Buddy now truly freaked out kicked the opening, shattering its locks and ran out.
She was not expecting to find herself waist deep in water.
Carefully she wadded to the nearby shoreline.
Once she got to the shore, she panted a bit before looking back at her old container.
The chains that were supposed to be holding the container were rusty and broken.
Maybe they snapped while the ship was out.
Good news for Buddy, the ship didn’t travel too far.
Bad news for Buddy, she couldn’t swim to shore.
The downside to having an organic part.
She figured that she would radio in for help in a bit.
Afterall, she hadn’t been on this island before. Maybe there was a new type of bird or cute animal she had seen in those nature documentaries.
So, she wandered into the bush.
It wasn’t as exciting as she thought it would be, but it was defiantly a nice spot to come to clear one’s mind.
A mighty roar pierced the once tranquil night.
Buddy nearly jumped out of her frame when she heard it.
She turned to run the other way when the roar came back sounding more in pain.
…curse her medical coding…
That thing was going to get her in trouble one of these days.
She carefully trekked deeper into the bush following the sounds of the anguished roar.
Buddy was not expecting other Cybertronians.
Certainly not ones who had animal alt modes.
It did make her feel a bit comfortable seeing other ‘odd’ alt modes out there. Sure, they were techno organic like her, but still, it was nice.
If she remembered the one movie about Dinosaurs correctly the two bots on the side were a Pteranodon and a Triceratops. The hulking figure laying on the ground behind them was a T-Rex.
The smaller ones took notice of Buddy and stood in front of the larger being.
Like they were protecting it.
Buddy raising her servos in the air.
“I mean no harm.”--Buddy
The two dinos look at her confused.
“Umm… I’m not going to hurt you. I want to help.”--Buddy
Dinos look at each other, hesitantly, before making a way for Buddy to come in.
Buddy makes her way to the hulking T-Rex laying on the floor in the pain.
Buddy starts walking around slowly inspecting him.
“My name is Buddy. I’m here to help you.”--Buddy
The mech huffs in pain.
Buddy scans his joints.
“I like your alt modes. Having a car alt mode is overrated.”--Buddy
The mech huffed again, but it sounded more amused.
Then she found the problem.
A thick branch had wedged itself in between some of his important joints.
With one swift motion, she took out the branch.
The mech then stood up testing his joints.
Then he transformed and the others followed.
… Buddy was really hating how small she was right now.
The biggest one looked down at her and patted her back strut so hard she was sure that something came out of place.
Buddy trying to recover from the pat on the back.
“You’re welcome big guy.”--Buddy
“Grimlock better thanks to you! Grimlock strong again!”--Grimlock
“Grimlock? Is that your name?”--Buddy
Grimlock nods and points to the others.
“That Swoop! He flies highest! Other is Slag! He shortest of Dinobots! Me Grimlock the strongest and King of Dinobots!”--Grimlock
Buddy just trying to soak in everything.
Grimlock picks Buddy up and places her on his shoulder.
“Grimlock!”--Buddy
“Buddy now part of Dinobots.”--Grimlock
“Wait what?”--Buddy
The four of them walked further into the bush talking and having good laughs.
They did this until Buddy realized that dawn was fast approaching.
She asked if Swoop could give her a ride back to the mainland to go home.
They weren’t happy that she was going home, but Buddy promised to visit them as much as she could.
This seemed to make them happy enough.
Swoop was careful flying her and landing on the docks before returning.
Buddy walked into the base as the sun was coming up.
Thank goodness everyone was still in their habsuites.
Buddy finally saw her beautiful berth and fell face first on it.
She sighed a bit before finally closing her optics.
Buddy opens her habsuite taking in the sight of her lovely berth.
She smiles as she faceplates on it, sighing, and closing her optics.
SLAM!
Lugnut burst into her door.
“WHAT IS IT!?”--Buddy
“Why aren’t you in the med bay? You are usually there by now.”--Lugnut
“… So, you decided to come to my room and wake me up… because I wasn’t up?”--Buddy
“Umm… yes?”--Lugnut
“…”--Buddy
Buddy gets up from her berth slowly walks up to Lugnut.
“Buddy?”--Lugnut
Buddy swiftly picks up Lugnut over her helm and starts marching down to the main room.
“Buddy unhand me!”--Lugnut
“Quiet Lugnut or I will throw you across the room.”--Buddy
“Hehe, I’d like to see you try.”--Lugnut
Everyone just stares at Buddy holding Lugnut above her helm and throws him across the room.
Buddy turns to everyone.
“I will be in my room for the next four hours. No. One. Is to disturb me unless it is a life-or-death situation.”--Buddy
Buddy turns on her heels and marches back to her habsuite and slams the door.
“…”--Everyone
Starscream looks at Megatron.
“That’s who has your spark in a chokehold?”--Starscream
“Ye—No!”--Megatron

New World🍂Part 2!
Summary: You grew up in a crappy town with one friend who kept you going, everything started to fall into place, that’s until the world ended and the dead ruled the world
Pt.1
•Masterlist•
Tumblr media
It’s been about a week since we got to the quarry and everything has been going smoothly…..well as smoothly as things could go with Merle around, he teased both Daryl and I every night that he stayed in the tent but in his gross ways that he talks
But I tried to put it to the side because I had my best friend with me and that’s all I could ask for
Today was a new day and we were running low on supplies so some people decided to go on a run to the city
“Hey y/n do you wanna come in the run with us?” Glenn asked as he came over to the table Daryl and I were sitting at
“She ain’ goin no where” Daryl answered before I got the chance
“I could help though”
“I ain’ risking your life out there, I need ya here where it’s safe, Merle can go in yer place” he said trying to plead with me
“Wow baby brother tryin to feed me to the walkers” Merle laughed as he came and sat next to me throwing his arm around my shoulder
Merle always did this, he thought it got a role out of Daryl, plus it made me damn uncomfortable
“Merle get your hands off me” I said swatting his arm away
“Yer a damn brat we should’ve left ya to the walkers” Daryl gave him a look that I’m glad I’ve never gotten, it honestly gave me the chills
“Fine I’ll go, only cause I gotta find me some more pills” he laughed before he left to get his shit together
Glenn had long go left knowing how Merle was with any person that wasn’t white here
“So ummm what are you gonna do today?” I asked feeling awkward now
“Gonna head out hunting, try and find somethin, might take awhile” he said as he cleaned his arrows
“Please be safe out there”
“Always am” he grunted but I saw a lift at his lips making me smile
~~~~~~~~~~
The day went on as we all carried on with our chores, I missed Daryl it’s only been a few hours but he was my biggest constant now and the fear of him alone placed a heavy weigh in my chest, but I know he’s knows how to handle himself out there……but still
Some of the girls and I were hanging clothes and it helped clear my mind
“I miss my straightener” Andrea said
“I miss my kitchen, making home made dinners every night” Lori smiled reminiscing
“…….i miss my vibrator” I stated as all the girls laughed
“Me too” Andrea and Carol said in unison making us all cry laughing now
“Y/n why do you need a vibrator when you got that Dixon basically sowed to your hip” Andrea said
“I…..I don’t know what you’re talking about” I would’ve said he was just my best friend like before but that’s not how it felt to me anymore
“Oh come on sweetie we all see how you both ogle at eachother when you think no one else sees, or when you’re doing chores he’s looking at you like you hung the moon in the sky, it’s adorable” Lori stated making me blush
“Don’t tell him please, I don’t want to ruin anything between us” I admitted
“Ooooooo I told you” Amy said pushing Andrea’s arm
“I guess I’ve felt it deep down for a long time, I mean he’s the whole package but, I’m just plain ol’ me, he could have anyone he wanted” I said clipping on of his shirts to the line
“You’re hilarious, if anything he doesn’t deserve you, girl you’re hot” Amy laughed
“Sure whatever, just everyone better keep their mouths shut”
I loved talking with the girls it always felt like we were back in the normal world, when all we had to worry about was paying bills
As we were tidying up I decided to take a nap, I couldn’t get much sleep last night with Merle’s snoring, so I told the girls and headed to my tent
~~~~~~~~
I woke up abruptly to a ruckus outside so I quickly unzipped the tent and ran out with my knife Daryl gave me, tight in hand
“YER TELLING ME YOU LEFT MY BROTHER ON THE ROOF” Daryl was back, and fuming
“He was a danger to us all he would’ve gotten us killed” this new guy said
Daryl was about to jump this guy when Shane got him in a choke hold, I ran over and pushed Shane off him
“What the hell is wrong with you, don’t EVER touch him like that again” I yelled at Shane
I knew Daryl past, hell I was the one usually to help get him through it and I know he didn’t like others touching him like that
I kneeled infront of Daryl and held his shoulder
“Are you okay” I asked worried
“ ‘m fine” he said swatting my hand away and standing up, it hurt but I understood
“Rick is going back to get him aren’t you” Lori said seeming angry
“Ya, I’ll get a group and we’ll head back for him, I won’t leave him out exposed, well he’s four tomorrow morning”
“Fine” Daryl groaned as he left out into the woods
I quickly followed him seeing him walk back and forth in the same spot I could tell he was fuming, he had a hard time controlling his temper sometimes
“Daryl I’m sorry” I said stopping him from his wandering
“Damn guy just shows up and now my brothers gone, the hell is wrong with him”
“We will find him, eventually you guys will find each other, you always do” I said pushing his hair back out of his face
He was quiet for some time trying to calm down I assume
“Sorry ‘bout before, I shouldn’ have smacked yer had away like that”
“Daryl it fine I just want you to be okay” I smiled
“It’s not”
“Come we need to get some food in ya and we should go down to the quarry and wash first it’s been a while” I took his hand and led him down the trail to the crystal blue water
“Do you wanna go first?” I asked
“Nah, go ahead” he motioned to the water as he sat on the rocky shore
He looked away as I stripped down and glided into the warm water, I was covered up to my shoulders when he looked back but this was clear water I’m sure he saw a little something but…I wasn’t apposed to it
“Me and the girls were talking earlier” I said as I ran my hand over my dirty skin
“Ya? ‘Bout what?”
“What we miss, some said straighteners, cooking in a nice kitchen, what do you miss Daryl?” I cupped my hands and let the water run through my hair
“Mm…probably our dinners, and the drives we’d take on Merle’s bike at night”
I remember those nights so fondly, wrapping my arms around his waist and holding him close as my hair flew behind me, the smell of him surrounding me, the cigarette and woodsy smell I adored so much
“I miss it too”
“What was yer answer to the girls” and my cheeks instantly exploded with heat
“Ummm nothing” I squeaked out
Which he obviously could tell I was lying
“Really? You miss nothing at all” he smirked his conniving smirk he knows I loath
“Maybe a few things”
“What do I gotta do fer ya to tell me?”
“Hmmm the only way I tell you is if you don’t laugh”
“Fine, now tell me”
God this was so embarrassing
“I said I missed…..my vibrator” I squeaked out the last part feeling my heart in my throat
I heard him choke obviously shocked by my response
“I told you not to make fun of me”
“I ain’ just can’t believe ya really used those thangs” he said trying to compose himself
“I’m a woman Daryl I have needs”
“What ‘bout them guys you talked too?”
“They never got past the part of getting to know each other, too many pricks in our town”
“Ya I get that, best ya don’t waist her time, ya deserve better”
I cleared my throat down with this embarrassing conversation
“Umm I’m done, your turn”
~~~~~~~~
(I’m gonna change from using *i* to *you* instead it’s just easier to write that way!)
After we were both washed up we headed back to came, ate our food and went to the tent
“I’ll take Merle’s bag tonight” Daryl said
“Oh okay” we changed and laid down
An hour went by and you couldn’t sleep, it was freezing without Daryl, you rolled over and whispered
“Daryl? Are you still awake?”
“Mmm” he grunted from an answer
“Can you come back to our sleeping bag, it’s too cold without you” you whined desperate for some warmth
You couldn’t see it but his eyes were wide open from shock, he didn’t say anything but he came back over and climbed in behind you
“Thanks”
“ ‘course” he whispered before his snores started to lull you to sleep
~~~~~~~
The next day went on and they were gone looking for Merle for a long time, and it was worrying you, the sun was now setting and your belly felt like a knot of stress
As everyone was sitting around the fire Amy got up to use the washroom, a few minutes later she was screaming, you turned around and walkers were surrounding the camp coming from everywhere
You took your knife and jammed it into the walkers that came near you, until a big one stumbled over and fell ontop of you, you struggled until an arrow shot it dead, well…. forever dead now
It was pulled off of you and Daryl picked you up and held you against his chest, you wrapped you arms around him feeling lucky to have him back and safe
“Are ya okay?” He asked looking you over for bites
“I’m okay, are you okay D?”
“Fine, Merle got away, knew he’d be comin back to take revenge”
Everything died down, the camp lost a lot of people, when the sun rises we buried our dead and burned the walkers
“Where do we go now, it’s not safe here anymore” Lori asked the group but mostly Rick and Shane
“We head to the CDC that’s the only place I can think will still be running”
So after everyone packed up we got in our cars and were off, thankfully it was just Daryl and you in his truck, giving you both some much needed peace
“Do you think we’ll be safe at the CDC?” you asked looking over at him
“We best be, we ain’ got much more places to go”
You could see the worry in his body tension, and the way he talked, sure he was a grump with everyone else but not you, never you
“We’ll find something Daryl, as long as we have each other” he looked at you and looked back at the road nodding
We’d be okay…….right?

The group had been walking for hours through the dense forest nestled in the shadow of the mountains. The air was crisp, with the distinct smell of pine and earth, and the cicadas filled the air with their constant hum, creating a rhythmic backdrop to the trek. Every few steps, the sound of the wind brushing through the trees mingled with the subtle rustling of the nearby lake’s waters, a constant reminder of the quiet power of nature that surrounded them. The landscape was rugged—mountain peaks towering above, the dark expanse of the forest stretching into the distance, like a sea of green and shadow.
After the long walk, everyone was eager to settle in for the night. The sun was beginning to dip behind the mountains, casting the forest in a deep, amber glow.
“Alright, guys,” Armin said, breaking the comfortable buzz of conversation as they reached their campsite. “We’ve been walking for hours. Now, we all have to prepare for the night.”
Jean groaned, stretching his back. “Finally. My legs are about to fall off.”
“Alright, Jean and Connie, you two set up the tents,” Armin continued, already unpacking. “While I go fetch some water. Annie, firewood. Pieck, Reiner, you help tie down and feed the horses.”
Everyone nodded, with a chorus of “Got it!” as they scattered into their respective tasks.
As the group worked, the sound of the forest seemed to deepen. The rustling of the leaves and cicadas’ call were replaced by the distant crackle of branches and the soft shuffle of feet on dry leaves. Armin and Jean shared a few jokes while setting up the tents, occasionally throwing in some teasing comments about their lack of outdoor skills.
“Hey, Jean,” Armin grinned, adjusting the rope on the tent. “You sure that’s the best knot?”
Jean shot him a look, tightening his grip on the rope. “I’m fine” he retorted with a quick roll of his eyes. “It’s not like it’s that complicated.”
Armin raised an eyebrow, glancing at the knot. “It’s just… I mean, it could be a little tighter.”
Jean smirked. “Yeah? Maybe you should try tying one yourself instead of critiquing mine. You’re not exactly Mr. Perfect either, Armin.”
Connie called from the other tent, his voice a mix of sarcasm and amusement. “Oh yeah, Armin, maybe if you spent less time giving advice, you’d be done by now.”
Jean nodded dramatically. “See? Connie gets it.”
Armin sighed, smiling softly. “I was trying to help, you know…”
Reiner, who had been watching the exchange from the side, shrugged. “Let’s just hope the tent stays up tonight, yeah?”
Jean grinned at Armin. “Well, you’re so helpful, we’ll be fine, right?”
Armin couldn’t help but laugh. “I guess we’ll see.”
Pieck and Reiner, meanwhile, were working together with the horses. The soft clink of the saddle and the sounds of hooves shuffling in the dirt made for a calming backdrop as they laughed and joked.
“So, Pieck,” Reiner teased, “How about you keep an eye on the horses, while I take a quick nap?”
“Not a chance,” Pieck replied with a grin. “Someone has to keep you from falling asleep mid-shift.”
“Alright, alright,” Reiner said with a mock pout, “I’ll stay awake. But only because I can’t trust you to tie a proper knot.”
“Excuse me,” Pieck said with a laugh, “I’ve tied knots tighter than your personality.”
Jean overheard and snorted, “That’s cold, Pieck.”
Pieck gave him a sly grin. “You get used to it, Jean.”
                                       --------------------------
Her knife shimmered in the fading light, slicing through the dense branches with effortless precision... She didn’t think, didn’t feel. She just worked. Her body moved almost mechanically, the rhythmic motion of the blade in her hand a distraction from the quiet hum of her mind.
But then—there it was. A rustle, sharp and sudden, coming from the nearby underbrush.
Annie stiffened, her instincts sharp. She didn’t flinch, didn’t let her focus break for even a second. Her grip on the knife tightened, its edge catching the fading light. She scanned the area, narrowing her eyes against the growing darkness.
The rustling continued, louder now, more persistent. Slowly, cautiously, she stepped toward it, her boots barely making a sound on the soft earth. Her heartbeat thrummed in her ears, each step measured, deliberate. Her hand remained steady, the blade held low but ready, her breath even and controlled.
Annie’s instincts kicked in immediately. The knife, still in her hand, shifted to a defensive position, held low but ready. Her eyes narrowed, scanning the darkness between the trees. The rustling continued and something shifted in the shadows. She approached cautiously, every step measured, muscles tensed and alert.
When she reached the bush, Annie parted the branches with careful hands, revealing the source of the sound.
. . . . .
A lion cub
—barely more than a bundle of fur, trembling and small—lay injured and alone. It looked up at her with wide, frightened eyes, its tiny body shuddering in the chill of the evening air. The fur around its side was matted with blood, and it seemed almost too weak to lift its head.
Annie froze. Her hand, still gripping the knife, lowered slightly as her heart clenched. She stared at the cub, her gaze distant, almost detached. But there was something in the way her eyes softened—something familiar about the sadness creeping in.
For a moment, she stood still, the knife now hanging loosely in her grip. Her heart pounded, an ache growing in her chest. She felt a sting behind her eyes, a tear that refused to stay hidden. Slowly, she knelt down. She could have left it there, let nature take its course. It was just a cub, after all—small, weak, abandoned by its parents. The world was harsh. The wild was unforgiving. This cub would either learn to rip apart its prey or it would perish. There was no room for mercy. No room for anything but survival.
The cub flinched at the sound of her approaching steps but didn’t run. It didn’t even try to crawl away. It just looked at her with wide, confused eyes, as if waiting for something—anything.
Annie couldn’t turn away. Something stirred in her chest—the same sorrow, the same aching loneliness that had followed her through every step of her life. She stared down at the cub, its fragile body trembling, its breaths shallow but alive. It hadn’t asked for this.
It was dangerous, abandoned—a part of the cruel world. It would grow, just as she had, and learn to survive in the wild, tearing apart anything in its path. But for now, it was so innocent. So small.
She crouched slowly, her movements deliberate, almost hesitant. The cub flinched at her approach but didn’t run. It didn’t even try to crawl away. Its wide, confused eyes stayed fixed on hers, unguarded and searching. Annie felt her chest tighten.
Her hand hovered above it, trembling slightly as she brushed against its soft fur. The cub whimpered, and for a moment, Annie froze. She could leave it—turn her back and let nature take its course. It was just an animal, a creature trying to survive in a world that didn’t care. Just like her.
But as her hand closed around its small frame, the cub didn’t resist. It was limp, trembling, too exhausted to fight. Annie gently lifted it into her arms, its faint warmth pressing against her chest. She cradled it close, feeling its fragility, its vulnerability.
Her grip was steady despite the storm of emotions swirling inside her. The tears she had long kept buried, the ones she thought she could control, began to flow. They streaked down her face, her shoulders shaking as she held the cub tighter. It was strange, unfamiliar—this raw emotion, this unexpected need to protect something so helpless.
“It’s just a cub,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “It doesn’t deserve this.”
The cub’s wide eyes met hers again, unguarded and searching. Annie felt her resolve crack. She could hear her father’s voice in her mind, echoing from memories long gone: “You have to be strong, Annie. The world doesn’t wait for the weak.” He had taught her everything she knew about survival—how to push through pain, how to bury anything that made her vulnerable.
But what he hadn’t taught her—what no one had taught her—was how to stop feeling. No matter how much she tried, the ache in her chest was still there, relentless as ever.
The cub whimpered again, its tiny body trembling against hers. Annie clenched her jaw, her free hand curling into a fist. She wanted to hate it—for making her care, for dragging her into its helplessness. But she didn’t. She couldn’t.
Her eyes darted to the forest, to the shadows where the cub’s mother should have been. There was nothing there. Just emptiness.
“This is stupid,” she muttered, her voice barely audible, as if saying it louder would shatter whatever fragile thread was holding her together. The cub nestled closer, its small body seeking comfort.
Annie sighed, the sound heavy with resignation. She knew she couldn’t leave it. Not now.
“Fine,” she whispered, softer this time. “But don’t expect this to mean anything.” Her grip tightened slightly as she stood, the cub still pressed to her chest. Its breathing steadied, its small frame relaxing in her arms.
But in that moment, Annie saw more than just a small, frightened animal. She saw a child.
—An abandoned child.
—She saw herself.
Why does it have to be this way?
Annie’s thoughts spiraled, the weight of her own pain crashing over her like a wave. She could feel the echo of her own abandonment, her own helplessness, in the tiny creature she held. The world had never been kind to her. It had stripped her of everything, demanded strength, taught her to survive in the same way this cub would have to. Tear apart. Rip things apart. Stay alive.
And yet, here she was, cradling this tiny, broken creature in her arms.
The fire crackled softly in the distance, but Annie stayed by the bush, her arms wrapped protectively around the cub. She didn’t care about the others, about the camp. The night passed in silence as she sat there, her tears mingling with the soft fur of the cub.
In that moment, it felt as though the weight of everything she had endured—the pain, the isolation, the unspoken guilt—pressed heavier on her chest. She didn’t know what tomorrow would bring for either of them. She didn’t even know why she cared.
But tonight, she could protect it, if only for a little while.
An abandoned lion.
An abandoned child.
Annie Leonhardt.
                                        -------------------------
The fire crackled warmly, the tents stood completed, and the group huddled around the flames, their faces illuminated by its glow. Yet, something felt off.
"Guys," Armin asked, scanning the campsite, "where’s Annie? She hasn’t come back with the firewood yet?"
Connie shrugged, his tone casual. “I guess she got lost. Haven’t seen her since she left.”
“Aww, man,” Pieck groaned, her voice thick with disappointment. “What about the marshmallows?”
“Screw the marshmallows,” Jean cut in, his expression sharp. “Where the hell is she?”
Armin’s stomach churned with unease as he glanced at the dark forest. “She wouldn’t just get lost,” he said firmly. “It’s not like her to take this long. Firewood isn’t that far.”
Reiner, standing near the treeline, squinted at the ground. “Wait,” he said, pointing. “I see footprints. They lead that way.”
Without a second thought, Armin grabbed a lantern . “I’ll go find her. Jean, you’re in charge until I get back. Keep the fire going.”
Jean groaned. “Yeah, yeah. Just don’t take forever—or I’m eating your share of the marshmallows.”
Armin didn’t respond, lighting the torch and stepping into the dense woods.
The night was colder here, the trees stretching tall and dark above him. The further he walked, the quieter it became, the cicadas’ song fading to nothing. Each step felt heavier, the shadows pressing closer, but he pressed on, the flicker of his torch cutting through the dark.
Then he heard it—soft whispers, carried on the still air.
At first, they were faint, indistinct. But as he followed the footprints, the sound grew clearer, pulling him forward. It wasn’t until he reached a dense thicket that he saw her. —Annie, sitting on the ground, her short hair falling messily around her face as she cradled the tiny lion cub in her arms. Her tank top clung to her skin, but she didn’t seem to notice the cold. She was completely still, her expression unreadable, though her lips curled into a faint, unsettling smirk.
“Shh, little one. If you scream, they’ll find you,” she whispered in a voice so low and venomous it sent a shiver down Armin’s spine. Her gaze never left the cub, and her words were laced with a sweetness that felt out of place. “And what happens to things that get found?” She tilted her head, eyes snapping to Armin with a sudden, piercing intensity. “Oh, right. They get crushed.”
Armin froze, a chill creeping up his spine as her voice, so sharp and unpredictable, made his heart pound. His instincts screamed to stay back, but he couldn’t leave her out here—alone. He took a careful step forward, his voice quiet as he spoke her name.
“Annie…”
She flinched, the wildness in her eyes giving way to a subtle recognition. She stopped whispering to the cub, but her posture was still tense, as if poised to flee at any moment. Armin moved closer, cautiously, his hand reaching out to place a gentle touch on her shoulder.
“Annie, it’s cold out here. Let’s go back to the camp,” he said, his voice soft but insistent.
Annie didn’t answer, staying silent for a moment before her voice broke through the stillness, rough and raw. “Why are you here?”
Armin hesitated, his words hesitant but filled with care. “I’m worried. Everyone’s been worried.” He shifted nervously, unsure of how to express the depths of what he felt. “You catch a cold out here... come on. Let’s go.”
Annie’s eyes narrowed, a bitter edge in her voice. “Why care about a heinous monster like me? Leave me here to die. After all, that’s what I deserve... after taking so many lives just to survive. It’s not like I wanted to live…”
Armin’s expression hardened at her words, his voice sharp and unyielding. “Hey, don’t say that!” he snapped. “It wasn’t your choice to make! They pushed you into that mess! You did what you had to. I don’t blame you. The war, the system—it’s all to blame.” His tone softened, the weight of his words settling between them. “You deserve to live, Annie. You’re here, and I’m glad you are. It wasn’t an easy choice, but you made it through. You’re brave. And I’m happy you made it out... sane.”
She didn’t say anything for a moment, her eyes flickering with something—vulnerability, maybe even relief—but she quickly masked it, turning away. Then, she hugged him, burying her face in his neck as if trying to hide from the storm of emotions crashing over her. Her hands gripped his jacket, trembling slightly.
“I’m sorry,” she murmured, the words barely audible against his skin.
Armin’s arms tightened around her, offering comfort without hesitation. “For what?” he asked quietly, his voice steady and warm. “You have nothing to apologize for.”
He pulled her gently away from the cold forest floor, draping his jacket around her. Her eyes were closed, exhaustion painted across her features. She barely managed a sigh before her eyelids fluttered shut, and Armin picked her up, his arms strong around her, but his touch gentle.
“Let’s go home,” he whispered, more to himself than to her, as he turned toward the camp.
Annie didn’t respond, her breathing slow and steady as she rested her head against his chest. The campfire flickered ahead, its warmth drawing closer with every step they took.
As they neared the warmth of the fire, Annie’s mind wandered back to her thoughts—thoughts that never seemed to let her go.
Would it find a place where it truly belonged? Was it wiser to just give up and die, or to stay alive and pay the price? How cruel these situations were—no in-betweens.
Well, she thought bitterly, at least he made it easy for me to decide. I had no choice but to obey him, because he had adopted me. So, I had to live—not because I wanted to, but because I was obligated to...
Thanks, Dad, for being a part of my life.
Her eyelids grew heavy, the warmth of the campfire’s light pulling her into a light sleep. And for once, in the faint crackle of the flames, the weight of her thoughts didn’t feel quite as suffocating.

Hello, Moon. How are you doing? Read this long-ass shit when you have some spare time and let me know what you think.
Ohhh hello momo! This was a very touching read! I enjoyed it thoroughly, so thank you for sharing this!
I like how you drew a parallel between the lion cub and Annie's surname, and both are, we can say, "abandoned" in different ways. Survival is something Annie's known all her life, her rulebook in fact, and the part where you say nobody taught her to stop feeling was just so good! In the end she's a witness to her own humanity and how very sensitive and emotional she is; despite all the toughness beaten into her through time, she remains, inevitably soft.
I really liked the camaraderie between the six at the start and toward the end how Armin expresses his concern and genuine care for Annie. At last she's found a place for herself where she doesn't just have to be a lonely wounded animal anymore, and it's very evident in how her swirling thoughts calm down in his presence.
Wonderful read, thank you once again for sharing! You write well! :3 Kudos!

A Symphony in Crimson
A combination of the carrion!sif au originally by @traumaboyexo, and an Au I was working on before, to add elements of AdventureQuest World's Astravia. Enjoy!
Act 1: A Movement in Black
Chapter 1
In the Darkness, the monster hides To escape it’s prey’s dread fearful cries Yet it yearns the strength to meet the light Will it find friendship, or simply strife?
◉ “Siffrin?”
You open your eyes slowly. You were having such a nice nap. Mirabelle is standing above you.
◉ “Good Morning! Well, more like, good afternoon, I guess… Were you taking a nap? That’s just like you… Only you could sleep peacefully at a time like this, hehe!”
You nod.
◉ “I guess that’s smart… We better get some rest while we can! We have to be ready tomorrow, so we can finally face the king!
Your too sleepy to talk. It’s too bright, even with mira looming over you. You close your eye again.
◉ “...You're still half asleep aren’t you?”
✦ “mrrg”
◉ “Hm… Ok, then… You can sleep a little longer, but not too long! Come to the village when you're ready, Okay?”
You relax for just a bit more, listening to Mira’s steps away. She is right, you can’t sleep all day. Wake up Siffrin, you have a country to save.
You get up and pretend to stretch, double check and make sure Mira’s out of line of sight, then take a real stretch, hearing the snap of your bones and feel your skin stretch, before putting your body back into shape. Feels good to shuffle things around a little. After all, she’s right, you're going to fight the king tomorrow. Better keep yourself in shape, figuratively and literally.
Once you’re sure you look human, you head on over into town. You pass by a bird, and hear it chirp. It’s a really nice note! F, you think? You mimic it, and start humming a tune to it’s key as you go. Mirabelle is waiting for you, and starts humming along for a few seconds as you approach her.
◉ “Sounds like you had a good nap Siffrin!”
✦ “Yeah, it was pretty good. Solid 9/10”
◉ “...Is it not a 10 because I woke you up?”
✦ “We’ll do better next time.”
◉ “I promise I’ll let you sleep in next time! So we can get the Elusive 10/10 score!!!”
You start getting ready to head into town when…
◉ “Oh wait! I had something I wanted to ask you!!!”
You stop and listen.
◉ “Um, I have an idea for tonight… This will be the night before we go fight the king, so I felt like we could make it special somehow… So, I was thinking, how about a sleepover? Let’s all eat good food together! Sleep in the same room! Maybe tell stories! I think there’s even a guitar in the clock-tower if you want to play something! It would be nice, wouldn’t it?”
That’s not really that different from what you usually do? The guitar bit is nice to know though! But she can see you're not particularly excited…
◉ “Ah… you think it’s silly, don’t you? I’m sorry… I was trying to find something fun to do tonight, but that’s all I could think of… It was… It was a stupid idea, wasn’t it...? Maybe we should forget about it…”
Oh no, you can smell the anxiety coming off of her! YOU MADE MIRABELLE UPSET!!!! You quickly try and recover!
✦ “N-no I think it’s fun!!! Let’s do it!!!”
◉ “Are you sure...? Alright then… Um… So if we’re doing it, can you let everyone know...? I… I don’t think I could convince everyone…”
Well you guess you have to now, but you suppose you WERE going to go out and check up on everyone anyways. Mirabelle tells you where everyone is, and then hands you a reminder note ‘just in case’.
>>>
You go to the change god statue and pretend to pray. You don’t bother actually praying, you doubt a god would care for a monster like you. But you do reminisce a bit. It’s been quite a journey so far, even if it’s just been a few months.
It was almost a year ago that the king appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. Possessing immense craft power, he spread his curse across Vaugarde, freezing in time everything in it’s path. With Dormont’s house of change under his control, he patiently waits, knowing the curse can only be reversed if he is defeated. Luckily for Vaugarde, There’s Mirabelle(◉). Your friend Mira is the only survivor of the house, and was given the ability to fight back the kings curse by presumably the change god. She was already questing for the orbs to unseal the house when you met her, some time after Isabeau(▲) and Odile(◆) had joined up. You saved them all from a particularly strong sadness while hunting, and they asked if you wanted to join. You didn’t have anything better to do, and decided to join them. A few weeks later, you met Bonnie(✿), rounding out your little group.
You saw a lot of Vaugarde during your travels. Quietly killed and ate a lot of sadnesses when the party wasn’t looking. Even as the kings curse got worse, you all kept going. They all had their own reasons, all really good. But you just joined because there was nothing better to do. You might be a monster, but you still felt you could help. What else could you do?
Once Mirabelle asked if you were okay, following them on a journey to save the country. She felt guilty, like she was forcing everyone to follow her on a hopeless quest. You wanted to put her at ease, so you said easily, and truthfully that traveling with everyone is the happiest you could remember being. She seemed upset. You cringe just thinking about it. Wasn’t exactly considerate of her situation. Talking is so hard. Well regardless, one way or another, your journey will be over tomorrow.
>>>
You finish talking to Isabeau and decide to go to the favor tree. As it looms above you, you walk closer, to find an appropriate leaf. You know how this works like the back of your hand, and a leaf is the first step. As you pick up the leaf, you think. This wishing ritual is probably very taxed right now. It’s really popular, with so many people wanting Vaugarde to be saved. The tree is already probably struggling to grant that one as is, drawing as much as it can from the stars. You should make a small wish, one that won’t be too hard. You don’t want to take anything away from a wish as big as salvation. A solution to the hunger is too big, and you’ve been handling it well enough so far. So what to wish for instead…
You have some ideas. But which one to go for? You also need to be specific, to help things out.… You remember Isa’s comment about being a clothing designer, when you were talking to him earlier. You’ve liked traveling with Isabeau. You joke a lot, but never talk about important things. You're glad to have heard that dream. You’d like to have the chance to play human at least long enough to see that dream come to fruition, and trying out some of his clothes would be really nice. Being able to have a keepsake of this party would mean a lot, and being able to see him smile from you wearing something he made would make you so happy. You honestly want to see where all of them end up. You want to stay with them!
You breath the wish into the leaf three times, fold it closed, and gently let the leaf go. There! That should be simple enough for the tree to handle, and can be done later too. Though, you swear you felt something when you made that wish. Probably just them marking you for later.
>>>
▲ “Phew, Bonbon… That was DE-LI-CIOUS!”
◆ “You keep getting better at cooking, Boniface. Those Samosas were fantastic.”
✿ “Really, it wasn’t bad? You liked it? I-I MEAN, OF COURSE IT WAS DELICIOUS. I’m a master cooker, you know!!!”
◆ “Chef”
✿ “I’m a chef cooker!!!”
◉ “That was the perfect meal Bonnie! We’ll all sleep well and have plenty of energy tomorrow!”
▲ “It was almost too much, to be honest… I don’t think I can move”
(You could have eaten WAY more. You ate a few sadnesses on the way here, but Bonnies cooking is so much better! They even made sure to get plenty of meat for you. Every bit counts.)
▲ “Aw Sif, you're still hungry?”
✿ “You eat so much Sif! You REALLY like my cooking! Here have some more”
Bonnie throws a carrot slice at you, and you catch it with your mouth. Non-meats aren’t great for you, but you can digest them eventually, and they taste great!
◆ “I’m just going to hope you don’t get stomach problems. Your diet is so strange. I don’t even know how you fit that much food inside you.”
✦ “I’m a growing kid.”
▲ “Your older then most people here?!?”
You wink cutely.
>>>
It’s the day to fight the king. You all easily went through the first sadnesses, reviewing tactics to assuage Mirabelle. You did make sure everyone was patched up after, so the smell of blood won’t distract you. But so far things are looking pretty good, until Mirabelle suddenly stops you all.
◉ “WAIT!!!”
✿ “Gwah!!! What? What is it?”
◉ “Sorry for screaming, sorry, sorry! Um, I, um… I… don’t know if this is relevant, but… I, um… I recognize this corridor.”
◆ “Oh?”
◉ “I recognize it… The head housemaiden of this house used to warn us about it… I think… I think she called it the ‘Death Corridor’!!!”
▲ “Oh that sounds bad!”
◉ “The house may be a safe building, but with the king here, some traps may have been activated…”
✦ “Sounds like a job for me.”
▲ “Protect us oh trap master!”
You start taking a look, and pull out your tinkering tools, in case you find something. Maybe there will even be spare parts you can use! That said, there’s not much in this hallway the trap could be hiding in though, save a couple pillars. You doubt a peaceful place like the house has anything too complicated, so if there’s a switch, it’d be somewhere easy to reach and locate. So Pillars it is! You go around checking each pillar, and end up finding nothing. Oh well. Better reassure Mira.
◉ “So? So??? Are we safe? We’re not safe, are we, this is the Death Corridor…”
✦ “Don’t worry, It’s fine. There’s nothing weird here.”
◉ “But there must be!!!”
▲ “Aw, Mira…”
✿ “Belle, Belle, don’t worry about it. Frin might not be good at much, but they know stuff about traps.”
Hey.
◆ “Right, If we can’t trust in Siffrin’s capabilities NOW, it doesn’t bode well for later…”
HEY
◉ “But, but—”
✦ “We’re not dead yet right? We’ve been in here a bit, and I’ve walked the whole room, if there was anything, it would’ve triggered by now.”
▲ “Exactly! It’s all fine!”
◉ “Oh…… yeah! Yeah, Okay! I’ll believe you! Sorry… for worrying… I’m a little on edge…”
✦ “We’re good Mira. See?”
✦ “Everything’s fine.”
With a sudden click, you realize too late something rushing down towards you, until you feel your entire body being crushed. Your bones cracking, your muscles flattened, you can’t muster the strength to stop it, you can’t even escape! As you feel the weight slowly crush your core, You feel a tug on your heart
《《《《《《《《《《《《
Huh?
◉ “Siffrin?”
You open your eyes. Mirabelle is standing above you.
◉ “Good Morning! Well, more like, good afternoon, I guess… Were you taking a nap? That’s just like you… Only you could sleep peacefully at a time like this, hehe!”
◉ “I guess that’s smart… We better get some rest while we can! We have to be ready tomorrow, so we can finally face the king!
You just stare at her.
◉ “...You're still half asleep aren’t you?”
◉ “Hm… Ok, then… You can sleep a little longer, but not too long! Come to the village when your ready, Okay?”
… huh? HUH?? Hold on…
DID YOU JUST DIE??
You did! You think!? You went into the house, got crushed by a rock, and now you're back in the meadow, back in dormont, and what Mirabelle just said to you, waking you up, was very familiar???
But ARGH! The trap, the trap!!! You idiot! You stupid fool! You didn’t take it seriously, you KNEW you were still adjusting to only using one eye, you should have used the real eyes! They wouldn’t have noticed, and instead you got taken out IMMEDIATELY! You didn’t even get a chance to see the king!!!
Your job is to be lookout, to be the perceptive, fast one, and you couldn’t even get that right and you DIED. Can’t even be a monster right and survive stuff like that because you didn’t hunt enough food beforehand!!! You hold back an unholy screech of frustration as you squirm and writhe within your own skin, your stomach hurts and you feel like your going to break and STARS you’re USELESS!!!
Ok… You're over it now. You take a deep breath iiiiiiiin. and ouuuuuuut. You take your shaking body, and press yourself against the grass, settling yourself into place.
Ok. You died. That’s one thing. But now your alive. And it’s apparently the day before. You went... back in time? Ok, that makes sense. Well not really, but maybe it’ a monster thing? At least you were in the lead. Judging by where you were, you doubt the trap got anyone else. You're glad it wasn’t any of the real people. Just the monster.
But… You're back… How? Why? And… Can you change things?
...Back to work Siffrin. You have a country to save.
When you get the chance, come to the favor tree. We have much to discuss!
...Was that a voice in your head? Ok, that’s unexpected. You suppose you’ll head there, but first things first, you have to chat with Mirabelle...
>>>
So far so good. You confirmed with the talk with Mira that you can change things, and that others don’t seem to remember. But, scientific method, you should do something with Isabeau too, but to make sure. And maybe you can speed things up? You can talk to him a little later, but you need to find out who the hell that voice was. It could be dangerous, you don't know if you attracted the attention of something bad. Regardless, you need to deal with it quickly, and don't want Isa at risk. Hm. Something like…
✦ “Hey, Isa, I need to do the favor tree thing!”
▲ “Oh! No problem, I’ll get out of your way. Feel free to chat later!”
Success! Though, you don’t like socially shoving him to the side like that. You’ll apologize later, and ask if there’s anything weird. But for now, you need to check out the favor tree. Cautiously, with a hand on your dagger, you get close and start searching around, not seeing anything. When suddenly...
In a flash of Red, a being appears before you. They sit on the tree, dressed on a suit like the conductor of an orchestra, the chest open revealing a glowing star, their hands windows into a night sky. And their face stares at you, with long glowing white hair floating around a lightless mask, revealing only their eyes.
✦ “Uh, hello, stranger.”
✸ “… Hello, stranger.”

ART DECO— kazuha nakamura
“you’re so art deco out on the floor, shinning like gun metal cold and unsure.”
warnings: implied eating disorder, angst, hurt comfort, cheating (not on reader or kazuha) non idol! kazuha x figure skater reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
kazuha shifted uncomfortably in her seat, wrapping her fuzzy sweater around her the coldness of the rink blazing through her.
she leaned softly against her girlfriend, as she watched the most graceful girl she’s ever seen on the rink, she watched as the sparkles reflect from the skater, she looked like an angel so graceful.
kazuha has seen a lot of graceful people in her time of life, I mean she’s a ballerina for sake, but this girl has got to be the best.
“your sister is amazing.” she said quietly to her lover, as she links her arm with them.
yujin, her amazing girlfriend, they met at the starting of the school year, it was her first year in university and she was lost and she bumped into yujin and she was lost as well, turns out they had the same class and found it together and the rest is history.
she knew yujin had a younger sister but this was her first time seeing her, yujin invited her to come to her sisters figure skating competition and how could she say no ?
they both clapped as you finished off with a edge jump.
yujin grabbed kazuha’s hand and pulled her up from her seat, “come on.” she mumbled. “where are we going ?” she stuttered out following yujin down the steps. “going to see the star.”
kazuha followed yujin to the back, where she’s guessing you are, they make it to their destination but end up flinching away when they hear a loud yell.
“what the hell was that!?” they heard a sturn voice say, she peaks to see what’s going on, only to see what looks like you with your head down and who she’s guessing your coach oh how she knows how that feels.
“that was a mess, that’s what I’ll tell you.” your coach says looking at you in disgust. “your ending was sloppy.”
sloppy ? she thought you did good
“how is my best skater also my worst?” she said snatching your towel from your hand.
“tomorrow, you will be at the rink at 5 am to 12 am.” she said walking away from you. “and don’t argue with me and I swear if a see one tear fall from your eye.” and with that she left.
kazuha hears you let out a deep exhale before taking off your skates and putting on your miumiu flats.
she looks at yujin with the concern but the girl looks like she’s used to seeing you get yelled at like that, she grabs her hand and pulls kazuha with her towards you.
“y/n/n.” yujin says sitting beside you, “you did amazing today.” kazuha smiles at how soft yujin is being with you.
“I know.”
kazuha’s eyes widened in surprise and the sternness in your voice. huh
“but amazing isn’t enough.”
yujin winced at the harshness in her little sister’s voice, she looked at kazuha giving her an apologetic look, “um, well I brought someone special.”
that’s when you look up, your eyes widened when you made eye contact with kazuha, you straightened your poster before looking at your sister, “you never told me you were bringing her.”
yujin shrugged, “I thought it would be a nice surprise.”
“you just had to bring her to my worst performance?”
that’s when kazuha cut in, “I actually thought your performance was amazing.”
she watched as you inhaled sharply, as if her saying that your performance was amazing was an insult. “I need to nap.” was all you said, before walking away in the direction that your coach went.
kazuha turned to yujin witha tight smile on her face, “well, she’s lovely.” she says sarcastically.
yujin sat up and laughed, “yeah, I’m sorry, she’s just going through a lot.” she said grabbing kazuha’s hand. “she has a lot of pressure on her, you know with having to be perfect, you understand don’t you ?”
kazuha nodded, “of course I understand, I just wish I met her when her mind is in a better place.”
“it hasn’t been in a better place for years, so it wouldn’t make a difference.”
kazuha looked at her with concern and yujin just returned a weak smile. “she’s been doing figure skating since she’s was five, things started getting to her head when she was fourteen entering high school, now she’s in her last year of high school and it has just gotten worse.” she shook her head with disgust. “and our parents don’t really care much, all they can think about is the big star that my sister is going to become, and the amount of money that she’ll bring to the family.”
a heavy feeling made it’s way to kazuha’s chest, oh how she knew that feeling of needing to be perfect, it has gotten to her head, but she always tried to stop herself from getting bad.
she feels bad for you, she wants to help you, I mean you are her girlfriends little sister.
“maybe I can talk to her tomorrow, you can give me the address to her rink and I can pop in, you know.”
yujin smiles, “you can try, but it can’t promise you won’t get a few insults thrown at you.” she laughs.
with that, they left to yujin’s car.
Tumblr media
“that was really good.”
kazuha watched as you flinched at voice, when she came in she say you practicing and decided not to bother you.
her gaze follows you as you skated towards the seating area, your eyes sharp on her “what are you doing here ?”
she smiled softly at you, “I didn’t really get to talk to you yesterday, so yujin gave me the address to the rink.”
she watched your hands as they adjust your, tight pink zip up sweater, before looking back up at you, “I also brought some pastries.” she said pointing at the box.
you look at her in shock, “I can’t eat those, are you crazy.”
she narrows her eyes at you, “why’s that ?”
“I need to stay my weight or lighter.”
“who told you that?”
“mrs kim.”
she rolls her eyes, and pats the seat beside her. “can you sit with me for a second?”
you look at her suspiciously before hesitatingly sitting beside her, “I understand yn.”
you look at her with fake confusion, but she can see you slowly crumbling. “what ?”
“I understand yn.”
and with that, you just broke down crying.
kazuha wrapped her arms around you in a hug as you sobbed into her chest. “I’m gonna help you, it’s gonna be okay.”
Tumblr media
it’s been two months since that day, and everyday, kazuha has been helping you through your problems, while also balancing her relationship with yujin.
she walked into the rink, a box of pastries in hand, ready to watch you practice, but she came to a stop when she heard yelling.
“that was terrible!” oh she recognized that voice. “you’re never gonna be ready for the competition, and you want to go to the olympics ?” your coach laughed.
“you’re a mess, and you’ve gained weight, loose it.”
kazuha tensed when watched the coach the walk out the rink.
she walked closer and saw you sitting on one the benches, whispering to yourself.
“don’t cry”
kazuha awkwardly sat beside you and put the box of pastries in her lap, “it’s okay yn.”
you turned your face towards her, and it was like all her hard work for the past months went all to waste, you were back at square one.
she opened the box of pastries and handed you a croissant.
you looked at it in disgust and threw it on the ground. “she’s right.”
kazuha looked at you in shock, “your coach?” she asked in disbelief.
you sit up, “yes, she’s right, I am sloppy, I am a mess, I am gaining weight.” tears start to form in your eyes. “this is all your fault!” you yell at.
“what ?”
“you keep giving me these stupid pastries.” you grab them from her lap. “claiming that you’re gonna help me.” you threw them on the ground. “look at me!”
“you made it worse.”
it’s kazuha’s turn to stand up and yell, “I do care!” she says getting in your face. “I’m probably the only person who actually does.”
she puts your face in both of her hands “I care about you yn.”
you both stare at each other for a second, before kazuha pulls your face closer to hers, pressing her lips gently onto your own.
she lets out a hum, when she feels you kissing her back, she wraps her arms around your waist pulling you closer to her but she feels you pull back.
you pull away from her lips and look at her in shock, “what did you do?”
she looks at you in confusion.
“you’re dating my sister.” you step away from her. “oh my gosh, you’re dating my sister, we just kissed and your dating my sister. you ramble.
kazuha’s heart drops, she’s a cheater, she wasn’t even thinking she just wanted you.
“I think it’s best if you stop coming by.”
your voice snaps her out of her thoughts.

Pancakes Household: Chapter 9, Part 12
Time for Eliza's birthday!
Tumblr media
For reasons you'll soon read about her style change happens sporadically over this part
Tiana's thoughts will be in brackets for communication
Bob: She’s asleep, it took a while but she’s snoring now
Eliza: You do a good job with her Bob
Bob: I guess. I just feel like she deserves the world and I fall short
Eliza: Hey, you never fall short to me or our older kids. Tiana will be no different. That's just your gloomy side trying to throw you off. Now, care for some birthday celebration
Bob: But your birthday isn’t until tomorrow
Eliza: Is it? I guess I’ll go to bed by myself then
Bob: *laughs* No you don’t! Come back here, let me treat you
As normal Eliza doesn’t need much convincing to join her husband in bed.

3:30am and Tiana wakes with a start. What is she doing here? This isn’t the crib it’s… the playmat? How did she get here? Sounds like a pile of poop to her. To emphasize this she poops her diaper in angry infant mode.
Eliza: Good morning Tiana. Mother's just come to check on you
Tiana: *coos in grumpy* (wakeup time is the worst, what's so great about being awake)
Eliza: Now I’m afraid daddy seems to have come down with Starey Eyes so it’ll be you and me against the world today
Tiana: *coos in still grumpy* (daddy was going to show me cooking)
Eliza: Hey there miss grump, you really don’t like wakeup time do you? I guess we’ll have to find something fun to do
Tumblr media
Eliza scoops up Tiana and blows a big raspberry on her tummy before carrying the grumpy infant to her ensuite. Tiana angrily fusses all the way but doesn't have enough coordination to flail out of Eliza's grip.
Eliza: Now Tiana this big thing is called a bath and here we have a seat, just for you. How about that
Tiana: *coos curiously* (is it comfy)
Eliza: Let’s take off your- oh you used your diaper, lovely
Tiana: *smiles* (it's warm in here, I think I'll pee)
Eliza nestles Tiana in the special infant seat and fills the tub with warm water and bubbles, constantly checking the temperature. Tiana smiles as Eliza tickles her nose and she tries to pat at the bubbles. When she is all clean Eliza gets her dressed and feeds her a bottle.

Bob may be feeling awful but feels like he would be a failure as a chef if he can’t make his own wife a birthday cake. Despite his head screaming at him and generally feeling dizzy he goes through the motions of cake making, luckily all the past bakes help him do the process pretty quickly given the circumstances. Then he rings in to let his boss know he’s ill before adding candles and heading back to bed.

Onyx: Happy Birthday mother! I thought you were going to have a party
Eliza: Your dad isn’t well so I decided to cancel
Onyx: Make a wish mother
Eliza: *laughs* okay, here goes
Adulthood has reached Eliza! In celebration Tiana grabs her feet for the first time and Onyx gives Strawberry a loving pat.
Eliza: Good luck for the exams
Onyx: Thank mother but I don’t need luck, I studied
Eliza: That’s my kid!
Onyx: See you after school Tiana
Tiana: *coos questioningly* (where is sibling going, sibling not leave me) *cries*
Tumblr media
Eliza: Oh Tiana, it's alright. Onyx will be back later, yes they will
Tiana: *sniffles* (mother promise?)
Eliza works on some tummy time with Tiana who learns how to roll onto her back! Strawberry is impressed. Eliza settles the infant on the mat for a nap and goes to grab a late breakfast. She eats it on the couch while talking to the dogs. Not the birthday she imagined, but one that she doesn’t mind. Hopefully all this time at home will help her be full of energy when she returns back to work.

Eliza is happy to spend the main part of the day cleaning while Bob rests up. Once Tiana has finished her nap Eliza begins a dance workout. Soon enough she has to stop however as Tiana has begun to sparkle while she plays with her toys.
Eliza: Are you going to have a milestone honey
Tiana: *giggles and coos* (I am mother so you don't need to trade me)
Eliza: You’re laughing! Oh that’s adorable! Daddy will be impressed, yes he will
Excited at her daughter’s progress Eliza decides to give a game of peek-a-boo a go. Unfortunately Tiana worries her mother has disappeared and bursts into tears.
Tiana: *cries* (Mother is gone! Why did she leave me! Did I do something wrong? I was trying hard for her and daddy)
Tumblr media
Eliza: Oh I’m sorry! Mother is here, mother is here
Tiana: *sniffles and coos* (promise to never leave me again mother)
Eliza scoops Tiana in her arms and cuddles the infant close until she stops sniffling. The pair are practicing sitting when Onyx and Fergus arrive home.
Eliza: How was the aquarium
Fergus: Fine, I've got homework. See you and Tiana later
Tiana: *coos and wobbles* (so this is sit)
Onyx: Mother, great news, I aced my exams! Again! Can we maybe talk about getting a horse now
Eliza: That’s it Tiana, keep your head up. Oh I don’t know Onyx, the household is pretty full
Onyx: But mother-
Eliza: Darling if you look outside does it even look like we have room for a horse
Onyx: *points* Yes it- OMG MOTHER
Eliza: Oh dear Tiana, your sibling is pretty loud when they want to be
Tiana: *giggles* (Onyx is funny)
Tumblr media
With a chorus of thank you’s over their shoulder Onyx races outside where they spotted the foal Eliza had purchased for them.
Onyx: Oh you are pretty. What shall I call you? Hmm, I know, Maelstrom! Yeah, that’s a good name
Maelstrom: *neighs* Hi
Onyx: Oh how rude of me, are you hungry? Do you want some milk
Maelstrom eagerly grips on to the bottle Onyx holds for her and guzzles away.
Onyx: You know, I wanted a horse but a foal is even better. Now we get to spend more time together! I know I have cheer and school and stuff but I’ll be your best friend, I promise
Maelstrom: *neighs* sounds good to me
Tumblr media
The foal spent the evening running around the property having a good time. Unfortunately the exploring took its toll and Maelstrom began to feel scared. Hearing the change in general noises from their bedroom Onyx went to comfort their new foal. Maelstrom was skittish from the new big world but with love and affection returned to being happy. Looks like Onyx is a natural.

And at midnight Bob felt well enough to put in some dad time. After giving Tiana a cuddle he knelt down and practiced sitting with her.
Bob: And up we go, how is that huh
Tiana: *giggles* (I up for daddy)
Bob: Who’s the cutest infant in the world? Is it you? Is it you sitting
Tiana: *giggles* (I am cute)
Bob: Alright and back down we go. Wait, what are you doing honey? Eliza!
Eliza comes rushing into the nursery in time to see Tiana roll from her back to her tummy all by herself. Bob is overjoyed and Eliza gives Tiana a snuggle, telling her how proud they are.

That’s it for this chapter of the Pancakes. With 3 new additions (4 if you count the dust bunny) the household is now running at maximum size. I didn't get as much done with the teens as I had planned but hey, can't make real life not happen. Thanks for your patience and support readers!
