there is a lot of funny wyrmrest accord server history but i think my favorite piece is that after 4 months of ICC being out no guild on the server had killed the lich king yet and then one day the memorial statue abruptly appeared in dalaran because a group of PvE players with hentai RP profiles who had killed the lich king transferred to the server and simply having the achievements on the server triggered the event, and all the roleplayers stopped their rp and started rping the news of the lich king being dead because the organic moment got ruined lmao
#such vivid memories of everyone in ((ooc))#being like#wtf do we do???#well all those people are acknowledging it#we cant keep pretending against half the server#fuck#i guess this is it#goes to the cathedral and types slash kneel#oh man oliver asked his paladin friend to kill him when he was gone#and his friend was like ok#and then that night he got to be like#no :)#anyway#it was funny#i forget what guild eventually got the legit first kill#valhalla?#probably

Paladins- Chapter 2
Camille sat across from Oliver in the interrogation room as they waited for Moira to get back from seeing Laurel. "I cannot believe you want her to defend you. Is this some misguided way for you to win her back?" Oliver simply stared at her. "God I just want to punch you in the face." "No it's not me trying to get her back. Look- if anyone can convince her father this isn't me, it's Laurel. She knows I'm not capable of this." Cami studied his face. Part of her didn't believe him. He was lying about something. She always knew when he was lying. It was which part he was lying about that she wasn't sure. He was stronger. He was more intense. The scars- he didn't give them to himself. But was Oliver Queen- her Ollie capable of this? Was he running around at night taking out the city's worst. "Why are you looking at me like that? You don't believe me? You really think this is a ploy to get her back? C'mon Cam. I wouldn't barter my freedom like that." "Ollie- your family has billions. Let me call the best to just end this so you can come back home." "No. It's Laurel or no one" Cami abruptly stood up. "Where are you going?" "I'm going to work. I'm not going to waste my time watching you behave like an asshole. I took the time off to be with you. To spend time with you and I'm not doing it in the local fucking jail" Oliver sat stunned at her out burst. She rarely got angry with him before he was gone. In fact the day the Queens Gambit went down was one of the very few times she snapped at him. Maybe he wasn't the only one who had changed in the 5 years he was gone.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Cami almost stomped through the lobby of she thought he was running around at night like Robin Hood. "Camille?" Her father's voice startled her and pulled her from her thoughts. He studied her face. "Darling what's wrong." She smiled at him. She always smiled when he called her that. "Nothing. Oliver is an ass." "Well I see 5 years away didn't change your relationship much. I saw what they're accusing him of. He's not really that maniac is he?" "Oh Daddy of course not. He just refuses to let anyone defend him but Laurel. Which is a conflict of interest. I think he's trying to prove something to Quentin. I don't know." "So why aren't you still with him?" "I was afraid I'd choken him if I didn't leave. I'm just going to work on some things until Moira lets me know when he's in court." Malcolm smiled at his daughter warmly. "Let me know if there is anything I can do." He kissed her on the cheek and headed out of the building. Cami had her sights set on her laptop to look up this vigilante. Cami didn't know what to believe. She looked over all of the articles on the Vigilante that she could find. I mean, it made sense that it was Oliver. This guy showed up literally the day he got back. Oliver claimed the man in the hood saved him and Tommy. But what if that was a lie? What if he was the one that saved him and Tommy? She pinched the bridge of her nose. She wasn't sure how she felt about it. Sure, if Oliver was the vigilante he was going after the wealthiest criminals that Starling City had to offer. Men who were out of the SCPD's reach due to their wealth. But he had killed some of them. Maybe they didn't leave him a choice. She didn't know. She felt unease and turmoil building inside of her. She jumped when there was a knock on her office door. Tommy poked his head into her office. "Did you plan on going to the arraignment?" Tommy asked, surprised she was still here. She was always early for things. But he saw her car in the parking lot and stopped to check on her. "What? Oh shit- I must have missed the message from Moira. I was engrossed in a project." She jumped up from her chair. "Once a nerd- always a nerd." He flashed a grin at her. She sent him a mock glare. "Haha, very funny T." He put his arm around her shoulder. "Come- let your big brother chauffer you to our friends court date" She smiled back at him. He always made her feel better.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"...And this party is going to be themed. I'm thinking prison, uh, burning man meets "Shawshank Redemption". The invite says, "come before Oliver Queen gets off." "What the hell is the matter with you? Tommy- please talk some sense in to him." Cami didn't know what to do with herself. Oliver could see her exasperation with him. He had to admit, it was amusing to watch. The perfectionist that he knew before all grown up into a complete control freak. "Maybe a party's not in the best of taste, you know, considering the circumstances." Cami's jaw dropped at her older brother. "Tommy, the circumstances are why we're having the party in the first place. I want people to know that I'm not worried about any of this." "Wow Tommy...way to be convincing. God. You're both idiots. Oliver- you're going to land yourself in prison fro the rest of your freaking life. I guess the only upside is that we'll know where you are all the time now." Oliver took a deep breath and closed his eyes. When he opened them, Cami was storming out of the room. He knew she wouldn't leave though. While he loved getting under her skin, he hated seeing her that worked up. Cami climbed the stairs of the Queen Mansion to try to talk some sense into Oliver again. He needed to get it together. She was about to knock on the door when she heard Oliver and Diggle talking. She couldn't make out everything they were saying but she distinctly heard "The Mission Comes First" which piqued her interest. "German Arms Dealer" and something about weapons getting out on the streets and Diggle shadowing someone. She quickly knocked on the door when she heard footsteps moving towards it. She didn't want them to know she had been listening. Oliver opened the door. "Hey Cam." He rubbed the back of his head. She smiled at him slightly. "Am I interrupting? I wanted to talk to you before I left." "No- I was just heading out." Diggle nodded at her as he walked out of the room. "Ollie- what's going on?" He looked up at her. She desperately wanted him to be honest with her. But deep down she had a feeling he wouldn't. "Nothing. Everything is fine." "I wouldn't really classify what's going on as being fine. Oliver...this is so serious. They have evidence that puts you there. It's not circumstantial. I don't want to have to talk to you through glass and on a telephone-" Oliver grabbed both of her hands and squeezed them. "Camille- I promise you that I am not going to jail. I promise you that this will all blow over." "How? How can you promise that?" She could feel her anxiety rising, he was so calm. They could potentially give him the death penalty for murder if he was found guilty. "You have to trust me, okay? Don't you still trust me?" She took a deep breath. "Look at me." She moved her eyes to meet is. "Yes Ollie- I trust you. Listen- I'm going to go to the office for a bit. I'll be back later okay?" Oliver squeezed her hands one more time as he nodded. She pulled her hands away and headed down the hall. She had to figure out what Diggle was doing for Oliver. If she could figure that out, then she would be able to figure out if Oliver was really The Hood or not.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Cami was walking around Oliver's party rolling her eyes. All of these people, they didn't really know him. They were using him for free booze and a good time. Dressed in ridiculous "Prison" costumes. She was beginning to worry that she was reading Oliver wrong and that he hadn't changed. That she was seeing what she wanted to see. There was no way he was still this superficial. He couldn't be. She sighed and sipped her champagne. "I'm actually shocked that you're here." John Diggle smiled as he approached her. "Yeah well I figured with this many people you could use some help in the 'Stop Oliver from doing stupid shit brigade' I mean it appears to be quite the task lately." Diggle laughed. "Oliver is lucky to have you. I must say I've never heard anyone speak about someone the way Oliver speaks about you." He watched her beam. "Let me ask you something Digg. Based on what you've seen in your short time with Oliver. He's not the superficial person that he's trying to pretend to be. I mean you did quit and then come back." "Why are you asking me? You've known him your whole life." "True." Camille paused as if she was contemplating what he said. "But as a previous member of the Armed Forces, I'm sure you agree that 5 years away from everyone you love. 5 years of clearly being tortured. That has to change a person. In fact you've spent more time with post Island Oliver than I have so that makes me think you know him better at this point. You know his motives behind the facade." She gestured around the room. Diggle stared at her, she knew he knew something. He was contemplating his next words carefully. "Camille- let me say this, an intelligent woman like you should always trust her instincts. I'm willing to bet they never steer you wrong. I can't speak for Oliver. If you really want to know, you should ask him." "You know, I just might. Do you know where he is?" John pointed to the stair case. "Thanks" she smiled and squeezed his forearm. "Ollie---" Cami knocked on Oliver's door as she was opening it. John hadn't mentioned that Oliver wasn't alone so she didn't expect to see Ollie and Laurel in a lip lock. Especially not with his shirt open. "I- I- Sorry I should have- wow- I should have waited to open- open the door" She stammered through. Laurel pulled away from Oliver and quickly exited the room. Camille and Oliver stood staring at each other for a few moments. She swallowed willing the redness in her face to go away. She wasn't sure if it was from anger or embarrassment. "Cam-" "I was actually coming up to say goodbye. I'm not really feeling all that great. I didn't want to be rude. I'll talk to you later. Enjoy the party." She was down the stairs, through the crowd and out the door before Oliver could get his shirt buttoned up to follow her. She fought back tears as she ran to her car. She had no right to be so upset. She had no right to be jealous or angry. She had no right to be hurt, but here she was. She got into her Jeep and covered her mouth as a sob escaped. She fought it back and pulled out of the Queen's property as fast as she could. She didn't want to be here. She should have stayed in Europe. She shouldn't have come back so quickly. If she had come back later and Oliver and Laurel were already together at that point maybe it wouldn't have hurt so badly. But really, who was she kidding. She knew that this would happen. She knew. She stuffed the tiny glimmer of hope that she didn't even know had been shining down. The only thing left to think about were the massive scars she saw on Oliver's body after Laurel had run out.
