When this couple had its heyday on Bulbagarden forums ~12 years ago I absolutely did not care for them. I didn't get the appeal whatsoever, I thought they were both own'd losers who were just friends and nothing more. I did think they had some cool fanart but that was it. Silver in any iteration was my favorite Johto character at the time and I was all into Silver/Lyra or Ethan or PreciousMetalshipping, the last ship being my goto ship to make my whole personality at the time. Nothing about them really "clicked" to me until I started watching HGSS longplays for PleinAirpril references back in 2021. Somehow just the mere image of seeing them together in the Burned Tower and thinking about Eusine and Morty for more than 5 seconds was enough to make go "oh shit they're gay." And lo and behold I'm stuck here 2 years later stanning this damn ship. I mean that last sentence in the most cheeky way possible since it's obvious at this point that MinaMatsu/Sacredshipping makes me so happy and I want to draw them forever. I got to do so many fun new things with my art and meet so many kind people because of my crazy dedication to them...I owe a lot to them.

I guess what really makes MinaMatsu work for me is the fact they're essentially the same character. They both start out confident in achieving their goals, get their egos put in check by the player (Eusine just refuses to lose right away) and ultimately fail to obtain their goal. Obviously what makes them fun is their opposing personalities. Morty takes a more passive, introverted approach to meeting Ho-oh with his secret training believing he can become the person that is worthy of it. One day he'll become the strongest and coolest Ghost-type trainer to have ever live and Ho-oh will go "wow he's so cool" and swoop down from the heavens before him. Meanwhile Eusine decides he's already worthy of Suicune, will show the entirety of Johto and Kanto his fixation of it, and will chase it down and give it no choice but to chose him. No one else had his undying dedication to track down Suicune, did they? No need to train like Morty does, Eusine got all of the worthiness in the world. They have clashing personalities and yet they're still good friends which is so sweet. It's just so heartwarming to see men with similar goals and different perspectives on how to obtain that goal just get along and enjoy each other's company. Perfect harmonious duality. I'm not going to go too much into how I see others interpret them but when I see people headcanon them as rivals or them secretly not liking each other (groan) because of how they behave I'm just like...why. If you want a rival-to-lovers m/m relationship in pokemon, Reguri and Raihan x Leon is Right There. That's a whole new ship. Morty never says anything demeaning about Eusine’s endeavors or Eusine himself in his in-game calls to the player. (No, Morty saying he doesn't care for Suicune that much unlike Eusine doesn't count.) Morty literally leaves his place of work to be with Eusine in the Burned Tower. Clair has definitely yelled at him for that. That's not "he secretly hates Eusine" behavior y'all but I actually played the games so idk.

Ok ok back on topic now that I pissed off somebody out there. I just love how they're both mystical freaks. Morty having this supernatural connection to Ghost-type Pokemon and his strange abilities to foresee possible futures and communicating to ghosts just makes him an easy character for me to fall in love with. Weirdo probably hangs out more without dead people than living ones. Eusine being...Like That and his bottomless desire to research every aspect of Ecruteak City's past and be Suicune's friend is also fun to watch. Suicune please say Eusine is cool its what Granddaddy Eusine would want. Masters EX does confirm that Morty once lived in a sheltered world and didn't have many friends - must be hard when you're the freak of the week - so it's possible that Eusine is the person he's closest to. And why wouldn't he be? They both otherworldly guys that chased a lifelong dream and failed, but at the end of it all they still have each other. It's a nice touch that the HGSS credits have them walking together chasing (presumably) another Suicune...they'll probably never give up on anything as long as they have each other. Their dreams will never turn into nightmares when they're together.

Like a perfect couple they complete each other...if they melted and fused together they'll be the gayest most powerful mystical freak that both Ho-oh and Suicune would have to recognize as worthy. I don't know where that thought came from but I'm keeping it. They're puzzle pieces I guess is what I'm getting at. I could go into how cute they are in Pokespe, the gay anime episode, and how Masters EX basically confirmed Morty idolized Eusine more than anybody (I think I rather wait until Eusine get implemented before I dive into that), and how Fall Morty is the both the worst and best possible thing to ever happen to me since his design alone immortalized my MinaMatsu mania but I'm keeping this babble as short as possible and ending it here.

I just want a give a big thank you those who drew this ship for me whether it be gift art, art trades or commissions...I want to make a silly little booklet or some type of showcase page with all the art you lot have given me. I haven't set my mind on anything just yet. I cherish everything here so much.

His Dark Materials ❤ Which character do you think is the most egregiously mischaracterized by the fandom? Since I have barely interacted with the fandom, I couldn't tell you to whom this might apply. That said I'm of the very strong opinion that Pullmann did his world and a characters a huge disservice by writing "the Secret Commonwealth", betraying a very poetic end.

💖 What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series? Pullman is just a bit too much in love with Lyra. Don't get me wrong, I love her too but her maturing in "the Amber Spyglass" sometimes feels more like something that needs to happen. Suddenly Lyra doesn't feel like acting like her usual. Even though her encounter with the harpies challenging her and letting her grow is quiet organic but other instances felt out of the blue. Also the fact that the grand prophecy of her betrayal is a betrayal of herself, and then even is rewarded by having a witch's ability of separating long distance from Pan... Anything bad she could ever do is lessened into a lecture, she never could do any bad herself, or face any darkness within herself whereas Will is often put in situations in which he has to question his morality. And now in every spin-off Lyra is an extra special little thing, beloved by everyone she meets, getting breastfed by a fae, she's part of yet another prophecy after the mainstory etc. Everyone is supposed to love Lyra as much as Pullman does. It all feel likes like Lyra is never really allowed to do wrong. She does face cruelty and darkness but never really in herself. She might be a cheeky, impertinent child but ultimately she can never do actually wrong. I hope it makes sense but I have the impression Pullman's favouritism and focus sometimes blurs out the world around her.

💛: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why? Gosh darn, I recently watched shows/read books that only five other people on this website blog about, soooo...

[Pachinko] Koh Hansu/Kim Sunja Oh I know Lee Min-Ho is handsome, and fandom loves the hot mafia/monster/yakuza boyfriend but since the novel/show deals with very real history it is obvious how doomed and impossible their relationship was - especially due to who Koh is. Don't get me wrong: The circumstances as to why he is how and who is are more than sympathetic. However He can never shake off his egoism. The worst thing is, he never changes - even if he regrets how badly things turned out. Sunja, rightfully, points out that she can not be a mistress, loosing her entire reputation and family. Hansu never considers that her marrying Isak was her only chance to keep a semblance of dignity, social standing, and relation to her family within Korean society. Instead Hansu takes Sunja's pragmatic decision as a personal slight. No matter how much he loves Sunja and Noa, and will also protect her extended family, he will always think of them as part of him. Every generous act of helping is tied to the expectation of getting rewarded by love or service. By bringing Sunja's mother to Japan he hopes Sunja would suddenly stop mourning the recently deceased Isak, and she would thrust herself and her family into his arms. (Even though he still wouldn't offer her an official marriage because business marriage arrangement comes first.) He graciously pays for Noa's university but reveals that it was always tied to his expectation to do what Hansu wants.

What personally rubs me the wrong way with this ship is the idea that there could be a happy ending for them. It overlooks that Hansu is fundamentally unable to outgrow his greed, and old trauma for the love of others. Trauma, remembrance, and frank coversation about unsolved injustice are important - that's the entire point of the book/show. However the sacrifice of others for one's persona spite cost Hansu his luck with Sunja, his son, and his relationship to his daughters. He could never be satisfied with a simple life surrounded by family and daily happiness like Sunja

💚What does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character? Hmmm, I can't think of one right off the spot however I have the impression fandom in general is recently not dealing well with stories not wanting to be didactic. To say when stories about the complication of human interaction deal with things that just go badly because it's human nature to be faliable, learning to do better etc. - then audiences still weirdly want a resolution who really is at fault, who was more wrong... and oofff. I guess this is how we get really annoying discourse by the fact that many audience members these days can't live with ambiguity and mistakes. So it leaves me at "Yeah the character did all that but I couldn't care less it they pass a Calvinist qualification test.".

🤍: Which character is not as morally bad as everyone else seems to think? [FE3H] Archbishop Rhea/Seiros Alright, alright, I just finished all four routes two weeks ago, and FE3H five years after it'e release is like re-brewing old instant coffee... But I think the two fundamental issues in this fandom, or better, the reason why there's such a heated discourse about Edelgard is a) the fandom's misogyny b) actually not enjoying tragedy. Rhea herself is a character who is (purposefully) hard to read. Even in her support dialogues we at best learn something about Jeralt but usually Rhea is more interested in how Byleth behaves as Sothis' vessel. the entire reason why the continent of Foádlan is the way it is all comes back to her, her mental state after killing Nemesis, her fears, her wishes, why the Crest system exists in the first place. From what I read over the course of the years of finishing all routes (+ Ashen Wolves) Rhea is not intentionally cruel, genuine in her regret (to the point it causes her breakdown in Silver Snow) but simultaneously distrustful, lonely, secretive, and stuck in her grief. Rhea is compelling because she's simultaneously immovable object and immovable force. I say the fandom is misogynistic because in so many previous Fire Emblem games women are rarely the driving forces of the plot - and if they are never with such layered personality or grace of moral ambiguity (*coughs* Echoes *coughs*). Rhea is nor a sinister schemer even though she bears a lot of responsibility why Foádlan is the way it is. It's extra annoying when some fans are deadly allergic to the central theme of systematic violence (class oppression of non-nobles, female characters very often treated as means of Crest reproduction instead of... human beings, feeing racism and colonialism), and Rhea indeed using military force and intimidation to maintain the status quo. People who can only like a female character when she's a sweet wronged waifu are weak. End of debate.

By all means, I think Rhea is a good character because she can indeed be vengeful, and wields institutional power for what she perceives as greater good (which her foil Edelgard does as well). Rhea isn't a poor girl who did nothing wrong and Edelgard isn't being edgy. And no, problems can't be easily solved by Edelgard bringing forwrad a formal complaint and everyone happily goes after the Agarthans. Rhea is still afraid of the Agarthans. Revealing them to the world would mean revealing the existence of the Nabateans, which she fears would motivate humans to go full Nemesis once more. Ans also, Rhea is stuck onto the idea that the world needs Sothis divine guidance. She's not only missing her mother - to Rhea Sothis is her idea of salvation and ultimate peace. Until Sothis' ressurection Rhea will keep the world in stasis. Just one more experiment, and the world could finally be saved. Hence why she is unwilling to reform the Church and along it's reformation of a class system that is based on Eugenic (those who have Crests and those who don't). Even though Crests are slowly waning in even old bloodlines, any efforts of reformation and protest against the class system or individuals affected by eugenic mistreatment are met with violence of the theocratic militia. The system that needs dire reformation isn't reforming (by Rhea's will) which we see happening during the entire White Clouds section, so counterefforts are growing more violent. And disregarding Rhea's stasis, disregarding the theme of systematic violence leads to a very bad reading of both central characters Edelgard and Rhea and also a bad reading of the plot over all. But again, I don't think she's evil, she thinks she acts for the greater good. And she isn't necessarily delusional either. But as long living Nabaean with powers much grander than any human's, her priorities are different. It's debatable whether or not it was a good idea of hers to shoulder the weight of the world onto her shoulder (although such would mean that no plot would happen) but then again, the Agarthans would hunt down the last of the Nabateans and also not shy away from attacking the humans Sothis cared so much about. When Seiros decided to lead the continent under Sohtis' love for humanity, Seiros was lonely, the majority of her family dead, and the rest either too exhausted to go on, or going into hiding. She was lonely, and had none to share her fears and anger with, none would understand her. All these emotions are responsible why the Church of Seiros is as ruthless as it is but at the time and going on it makes sense for Rhea. There lies the main conflict between Rhea and Edelgard: Rhea has a very paternalistic understanding how to lead humanity whereas Edelgard is very much convinced that humanity is capable of making it's own decisions. At least when no superimposing power promises even more power, riches, and land. So that superimposing power ought to be removed.

Last but not least, it's inaccurate that Rhea created evil human experiments. Even though Ashen Wolves does bring extra material which is critical of the Church of Seiros as institution, the Apostates are either Nabatean-blood infused people of the first generation, Nabateans themselves. Their resurrection attempt did not involve humans, and Rhea stopped that resurrection attempt directly after it went wrong. Alferic brought his transformation upon himself. Also Sitri and her predecessors are homunculi who... are not humans. Even Byleth in only half human due to Jeralt being the only human parent, and even he has Rhea's blood granting him eternal youth, and a long life span...

💔 If you had to remove one major character from the series, who would you choose? [Sopranos] Alright, he dies anyway but after the brilliant episode 3x16, Christopher Moltisanti really grated my nerves at times

🏳️‍🌈 Which character who is commonly headcanoned as queer doesn't seem queer to you? [ASOIAF] Asha Greyjoy. I've nothing against ships but it's so weird how fandom can't handle the idea of straight butch girls. It is a general tumblr problem that working against patriarchal concepts of gender roles could only be possible when a girl is lesbian, and not a brains washed bi straight passing, or, god beware, a braindwashed striaght woman. :/ Also Sansa Stark. My girl has a massive crush on a disfigured guy but her standom is weirdly allergic to her beauty and the beast theme.

💀 If you had to choose one major character to die, who would you choose? Phew... even though I might not like a character, many good stories know exactly how to use each character ideally in a plot. To say, even terrible characters are necessary for a well written conflict. [ASOIAF] But just for shits and giggles, Jon Snow lying dead would bring massive disarray to the fandom, the fandom bros, and ending a lot of stupid ship wars.

Lee Scoresby x Reader-Grief Is The Price That's Paid For Love

It's been a while since I've written a story for Lee but I've been re-watching His Dark Materials (+binging the new season!) and I couldn't resist writing this.

“Lee…” Y/n whispered, her eyes blurring with tears as she raised her hand to his cheek.

He still looked like Lee; even down to his iconic cowboy hat, and his eyes, they still had a flicker of mischief in them. But it was nothing like the spark that once lived there and his skin was cold to the touch and graying, nothing like how it was before.

 Because he was dead.

 He was dead… 

She had hoped she wouldn’t see him here; but in her heart she knew something had happened to him. She couldn’t explain it; but for a while now she had just felt this dull ache in her heart. 

That’s why she followed Lyra and Will to The Land Of The Dead…she hoped that the ache in her heart was just from missing him as they had not seen each other in so long. 

Her dæmon, Y/d/n felt it too; and although it was excruciatingly painful for them to be apart; Y/d/n understood why.

But now, she had her answer. The man she loved, the man she planned to have a future with, to share adventures with, to have a family with and to grow old with, was standing right in front of her, nothing more than a ghost. 

“Oh, sweetheart,” Lee breathed, leaning into her touch, before swooping her up in his arms, holding her closer than ever before. He never thought he’d get this opportunity; the chance to hold his Y/n in his arms again, so he was going to savor every last second he possibly could.

They stayed like that for a while,  knowing that this would be one of the very last times they’d be able to hold each other.

“What are you doing here?” he questioned softly, lifting his head from her shoulder to look at her.

Her eyes were puffy and bloodshot from the silent tears she’d been crying, had he not already been dead, he knew his heart probably would’ve shattered there and then at the sight of his Y/n. 

“I had a feeling something had happened to you…I just…I needed…I need to know,” Y/n answered back, trying desperately (and failing)  to hold back her tears as she held onto him, never wanting to let him go. 

“I’m sorry, my love,” he whispered, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead; his hands cupping either side of her face. 

“Come on, no tears,” he sniffled, trying to hold back his own tears as his thumbs wiped away her fallen ones. 

“How can I not cry?” Y/n asked; allowing the tears to fall from her eyes, “You’re dead, Lee…you’re dead…and I wasn’t there-”

The words that fell from her mouth just made her cry more as realisation and guilt washed over her. 

“If you were there you would’ve died too,” Lee soothed; his fingers softly rubbing either side of her neck. 

“At least we’d be together,” 

“Sweetheart,” Lee began, stopping himself for a moment to blink away the tears that were threatening to fall from his eyes, “I love you and I wish we could stay together but we can’t. I need you to live for me; go on all those adventures we planned to,”

He knew how much pain she was in. 

He felt it. 

He wanted nothing more than to walk out of this world, alive and with the woman he loved, to live the future they’d dreamed of. 

But he couldn’t. 

He knew that all they could do now was say goodbye.

(Character headcanons)

1. Mae’s laugh is typically reserved; she’s quiet and just chuckles lightly most times, a small laugh with only her top teeth visible in a smile. When you can actually crack her tough exterior, she has a hearty and warm open-mouthed laugh.

2. Rest?? What’s that? Everyone needs something from her always, and she can’t bear the thought of denying someone help. Mae’s been operating in a state of what normal people would call burnout for the last few years (and denying it heavily). I’m pretty sure that girl gets swarmed by poukas every time she’s at the pouka pond. She doesn’t need a therapy pouka - she needs a whole gaggle of them.

3. OUGH. Generally, not well. When it comes to emotional support and confiding in others, she’s opened up to few people over the years—her mentor and friend Phaeston, Cayde to a certain extent, and little Lyra of course. However, after Phaeston and Cayde’s deaths, Mae walls herself off, even to Lyra for the most part. She leans into the Lone Wolf stereotype that Hunters get saddled with and insists that she doesn’t need help. In addition to emotional support, this also extends to building fireteams with other guardians. She’s got a trio of guardians that she can call on for help when she needs it, but she refuses. She can handle it on her own (lying). When she does manage to open up in little ways, she really only confides in Lyra and no one else. As Mae and Crow get closer, he tries to return the kindness she shows him, and she rebuffs it pretty quickly. It isn’t until she breaks down on the Leviathan, haunted by nightmares of Phaeston and Cayde (in addition to being poked at by Uldren), that she finally opens up and able to accept help again. But only from certain trusted confidants.

4. Lia - Oh man. I don’t know if this can be factored into aphantasia or not, but I have a really hard time imagining some of my OCs with voices that differ from the game’s VA. So in Lia’s case, my totally cop out answer is that it sounds like Jennifer Hale’s laugh in the game.

Hi guys~! So this is my first ever Gruvia fic and I’m so excited i love these two so much they were the first anime characters/ship I ever fell in kove with 😭! I’m sorry this is angsty but I hope you all enjoy it!

Juvia woke with a start, something didn’t feel right, something was missing. She quickly rolled over in her bed and she realized what was missing; Gray. When she had gone to bed he was holding her in his arms, but now his side was empty, and when she placed her hand on it; it was cold. Which meant he had been gone for a while. She quickly sat up and looked around the room, he wasn’t in there. When she looked out their balcony window is when she finally sighed in relief, he was standing out there in nothing but his pajama pants, his arms resting on the rail. She quickly climbed out of bed, slipping on a pair of slippers and a robe, she walked over to the door and pulled it open, startling Gray in the process.

“ Gray-sama, why aren’t you in bed?” She asked softly, he didn’t turn to look at her which made her frown.

“ I, I couldn’t sleep.” He muttered after clearing his throat, her frown deepened, his voice sounded dry, like he had been crying. She walked up to him and stood next to him, she watched as he turned his face away from her.

“ Gray-sama? Why won’t you look at Juvia?” She asked softly, trying to look him in the face, but he kept turning it so she wouldn’t see.

“ It’s nothing, just go back to sleep.” He told her, finally Juvia huffed and placed a hand under his chin and moved his face slowly towards hers. He tried to resist but once he saw the look on her face he decided against it. He watched as Juvia’s eyes widened and a small gasp escaped her.

“ G-Gray-sama, why are your eyes red?” His eyes were red and puffy, as though he had been crying, she had seen him cry only once and it had broken her heart into millions of pieces. Seeing him cry now, only shattered it some more.

“ I’m fine.” He told her softly, but they both knew that wasn’t true. Something had upset him so much it caused this emotion to spring forth, Juvia moved her hand from under his chin onto his cheek.

“ No, you’re not fine. Juvia can tell just from looking at you, what happened?” She asked him as her thumb gently stroked his cheek, she watched his eyes scan her face before he sighed.

“ I...I had a bad dream,” he started, clearing his throat once more. “ I watched you die, all over again, and I couldn’t stop it. I tried to get to you, but I couldn’t. It was like my feet were frozen to the floor, I tried to scream and even beg them to let you go but my voice wouldn’t work. It was like I was locked in a soundproof box and no one could hear me.” His voice cracked at the end, his hand reached up to hers and held it before giving it a gentle squeeze.

“ Gray-sama, Juvia is fine. See, look.” Juvia grabbed his hand and placed it onto her chest, right above her heart. Gray could feel the soft beating in her chest and it gave him some comfort, it pushed the horrible nightmare further and further from his mind.

“ I know you’re ok. It’s just, it felt so real and I-.” Gray was cut off when Juvia suddenly wrapped her arms around him and held him close, it surprised him and caused his face to turn slightly pink. She buried her face into his bare chest.

“ Juvia isn’t going anywhere! I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon, so please don’t worry!” Juvia told him with determination, he looked down at the blue haired woman in his arms and he smiled slightly. She always knew how to make him feel better, and he knew she could handle herself. But he loved her, so he worried about her safety all the time. Gray wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on top of her head.

“ I know, I’ll try not to worry as much, I promise. But for now let’s go back to bed.” Gray said softly, he felt Juvia nod and he led her back to their bedroom, where they laid down and he held her in his arms.

He does talk to his Sneasel at some point and learn about how Silver used to act, at first he's obviously a little ticked but he does realize that hes had a similar turn-around (having to learn the dynamic between a trainer and pokemon at some point, just from 2 different ways). Still, Sneasel talks about Silver in such high regard that N is astounded.

When the two arent part of a battle on Pasio or something they like to talk a LOT. Mainly Silver complains about other people (like idk. Clair being Clair or Blue not shutting up about Red) and N chuckles and tells him about his travels to other regions or rambles about various other things he knows a lot about.

Silver is just wondering when this tall motherfucker is gonna stop talking about ferris wheels leave him alone (like he's said about every other person he's enjoyed hanging out with)

Blue is like the begrudging (<- lie) older brother friend to all the johto quartet and that especially includes Silver.

Blue sees a bit of himself in the kid when he first hears about him from Ethan, he knows what it feels like wanting to be strong but always being just out of reach so when he finally meets Silver he actually manages to not piss him off within the first five minutes or so of talking. He tells Silver that if he wants, he can come to the Viridian City Gym every so often and Blue can give him some pointers and teach him some things he learned on his journey. Silver thinks it's stupid and laughs it off like HEH why would i do that (he takes blue up on the offer like a week later LOL)

Red has barely had one-on-one moments with Silver but when they meet for the first time in his mind hes kinda like "OH SHIT THAT SCIENTIST WASNT LYING. THAT GIOVANNIS KID CAN RED HAIR. I THOUGHT THAT WAS ALL A JOKE..." (im referring to a scientist you see in FRLG a few times, i thiiiink his name is gideon? He tells the player that Giovanni's kid has red hair)

But anyways. Silver has challenged Red a few times (AND OBVIOUSLY LOST) and Red actually thinks of Silver as highly as he does the other johto kids. He's curious to see Silver come to his full potential as a trainer cus he is pretty strong the first time they battle, even though Silver is still learning to trust and care for his pokemon at the time.

Silver would never admit it but he looks up to Red and Blue. Obviously, because they are some of the strongest trainers on the fucking earth. That being said if Silver has to listen to Blue talk about Red one more time hes pushing him off of a bridge

My Top 10 Webtoons (2020-2021)

So, it’s been one year since I started Webtoons/Manwha. At first I downloaded the app to read Tower of God, then I started reading more stuff and now I’m deep into Webtoon hell lol. Anyway, I just wanted to share my Top 10 series...tbh there’s a few more I wish I could add to this list, but I’m not done reading them yet.

So...here :)

1.) Back to You

Honey B has the prettiest art oh my God. 😍

I’m a huge fan of time travel stories where the protagonist is trying to save someone else. In Hanyoung’s case, she decides to save the boy she was in love with Jaehyun.

I really don’t have much to say about this except that I really enjoy it, and things have been going too smoothly in the story atm and I’m expecting something bad to happen at any second. 👁👄👁

2.) See You in my 19th Life

Lee Hey is incredible. This another story where the art is gorgeous, and I like the story in this one a lot more. The progression of Seoha and Jiuem’s relationship is really sweet 🥰. I’m curious to see how Jieum’s sister and Seoha react when they find out who she truly is...I don’t think it’ll go well :’)

A Good Day To Be a Dog is another awesome series by them which I recommend too, but I like this story a lot more.

3. The Remarried Empress

The Remarried Empress is about a cool, sophisticated, intelligent woman who has to deal with her cheating idiot of a husband😡, and his mistress...who is also a idiot...and manipulative 🙄

But it’s okay because Navier has Heinrey and everything will be okay!! Hopefully...lol. 😅

This was one of the first stories I started reading when I downloaded the Webtoon app. I wasn’t too sure at first about continuing it, but the drama and Navier’s comebacks were so good that I had to keep coming back twice a week to read new episodes.

Navier will keep winning and she will get everything that she deserves 🥰

4.) Let's Play

Hilarious and relatable...Let’s Play 🎮 is definitely a story near and dear to my heart. I’m very excited to Sam’s growth in season 3!!

Look, just go read it. Then you’ll know why it’s in my Top 5 haha.

5.) My Deepest Secret

MDS is wild as hell 😳, but at least Yohan is there 😅 Season 3 has been fantastic so far, and I’m kind of scared of how the series is going to end... I don't know what kind of life Emma can have at this point.

6.) Siren's Lament

Lyra, Shon, and Ian my loves 🥰😍💕💞💚💙💛

Siren’s Lament is a beautiful story. I have a lot of respect for the author being a student and working on this at the same time haha. Props to her for managing that!

I don’t know too much about Sirens, but reading this made me want to read up more about the lore surrounding them. Siren’s Lament did a good job of adding its own unique twist to the lore.

10/10 recommend

7.) Tower of God

Yeah, boi. The anime left off on a cliffhanger, then I realized we weren’t going to get a season 2. So, I decided to read TOG from the beginning because I heard that some things were skipped in the anime (and yes quite a bit was different and a few scenes were cut).

I’m currently at the Workshop Battle. Team Sweet and Sour are my favs, but I have a feeling something bad will happen to them 😥

The amount of episodes is still daunting to me, but I know I’ll be caught up one day. 🥲

8.) The Kiss Bet

The Kiss Bet is really cute 🥰 The second season was definitely an improvement. Each chapter left a smile on my face, and I impatiently waited for the next one.

I was rooting for Patrick, but now I ship Sara and Oliver ahahaha. I’m super excited for season 3 because the drama is going to be soooo goooood. I want to find out more about Oliver and Joe’s family situation or at least see their mom.

9.) Nice to Meet You

NTMY gave me a boost of serotonin every week 😁. Like no joke. I had a big ass smile on my face after finishing a chapter. Every chapter was just tooth rotting fluff. Wyn is best boi, but it sucks that he’ll be suffering from second boy syndrome in the upcoming season 😢

10.) unOrdinary

At first I didn’t like unOrdinary...I’m not to sure what happened, but all of sudden I became obsessed with it and began binge reading it.

The fight scenes were awesome and I’m excited to see the Wellston students take down the authorities and Ember. I’m glad John is a lot better now because damn it was hard seeing him so destructive. Hopefully, things will be okay for him and Seraphina now (I doubt it. Too much is up in the air).

My favorite trio - Remi, Isen, and Blyke...I love them and they are in so much trouble rn. I wonder how they’ll get out of it.

happy ffwf! i'd like to ask if you have any authors who influence you as a writer? or just favourite authors in general?

My favourite writers, and the ones that inspire my writing the most, would be Margaret Atwood, Jane Austen, Louis de Bernières and Zadie Smith. Unfortunately, I have to include JKR in that list, because as much as I despise her heinous views, her writing style is enviable, and has massively influenced my own. And as much as we take issue with her as a person, none of us would be here in this fandom if it weren’t for her. Kind of have to give her that much credit.

However, no book series has stayed with me or influenced me more - both in terms of writing and generally - than His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Seriously, if you haven’t read them, just do it. They are so deep and dark for what is ostensibly a children’s series (I really don’t think they are - they address such adult topics) and the writing is so lyrical and beautiful. An example:

Also, the protagonist, Lyra Belacqua, was the biggest inspiration for Artemis, to the point that when it came to choosing a faceclaim for her, I couldn’t have anyone except for Dafne Keen, who plays her in the TV adaptation. Not only this, but my faceclaim for Merula Snyde is Dakota Blue Richards, who played Lyra in the film adaptation of Northern Lights (called the Golden Compass because they ruined pretty much everything in that adaptation, including dismissing the audition tape of a certain then-11-year-old English girl who happens to be called Al…) because the two of them act as such a foil to each other, both in the HPHM game and in my writing.

Hi guys~! So here’s another one for my 100 event, this time it’s Greyche and was requested by the lovely @eme-eleff ! I hope you like it mi amor, I had so much fun writing it as I have with all my other fics 🥰! (Also, I may or may not have hinted at a future greyche fic at the end 👀 hehe)

Gauche was anxious, more anxious than usual. He was trying to hurry and get back home to Grey, he had been gone on that mission to Sosshi Village a lot longer than he had anticipated. Of course he had Magna and Gordon with him which made the mission go faster, but a part of him couldn’t help but think it would have been done even faster if it were just him. But he just shook his head, it couldn’t be helped that Captain Yami wanted him to take Gordon for his speciality in poisons and to take Magna since the creatures were supposedly scared of fire. All Gauche would say about the mission was that it was a complete nightmare and he wanted to get back to Grey.

“ Hey Gauche, did you hear what I said?” Magna shouted over to roaring sound of his Crazy Cyclone, Gauche glared at him.

“ No I was ignoring you.” He answered coldly, causing the purple haired young man to glare.

“ Geez glad to know I can count on you to always listen to me.” He muttered, Gordon frowned at his friends slightly.

“ Magna was asking if you were ok Gauche.” Gordon spoke softly but Gauche was able to hear him. Gauche rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

“ I’m fine, I just want to get home.” He muttered as he could see the faint sillouhette of the Black Bulls Hideout. He felt his anxiousness slowly turn into excitement, he was this much closer to getting to hold Grey in his arms.

“ Uh-huh, you just wanna see Grey.” Magna teased with a knowing smirk, Gauche’s glare became harsher and more cold at Magna’s words.

“ No I just want to get the hell away from you idiot!” He shouted, he felt his face heat up slightly. He did want to just see Grey, but he didn’t like it when the others teased him about their relationship. It made Grey uncomfortable and him angry, the others had learned this fairly quickly, but Luck and Magna still did it no matter how many times Gauche kicked their asses.

“ Buut you also wanna see Grey.” Magna continued to tease, causing Gauche to conjure up a mirror and fire a few shots at him.

“ Hey look, there’s the base.” Gordon suddenly called as he lowered himself close to the ground, Gauche sighed in relief. He landed on the ground with a soft thud and watched as Magna and Gordon did the same, although Magna looked a little worse for wear after Gauche used his mirror magic.

“ Gauche!” Grey shouted as she came running out of the base, a bright smile on her face that made Gauche’s heart skip a beat, and she quickly wrapped her arms around his middle. He chuckled softly and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly.

“ You miss me?” He asked slightly teasing her, neither Gauche not Grey were really into PDA, but whenever one of them was gone for a long period of time they usually didn’t pay much attention if others were around. He felt the bluenette nod as she rested her head against his chest.

“ O-Of course I did!” Grey said with certainty, he heard Magna snort as he walked past the couple.

“ Didn’t miss her my ass.” He muttered under his breath, but Gauche heard him and quickly conjured up another mirror and blasted a spot near the purple haired mans feet.

“ Hey watch it!” Magna shouted before walking into the base, he rolled his eyes before turning his attention back to his girlfriend.

“ W-What was that about?” She asked curiously, he just shook his head as he rubbed his hands up and down her back.

“ Nothing. Just him being an idiot.” He muttered. The couple just stood there for a moment, holding each other.

“ I really missed you.” Grey muttered softly, placing her hands on his chest. Gauche placed a small kiss on top of her head, causing her to blush.

“ I’m sorry. I’ll try not to be away for that long again.” He told her softly, he felt her shake her head before she looked up at him.

“ I-It’s ok. It wasn’t your fault.” She muttered quickly before they fell silent again, Gauche noted she appeared to be nervous. The way her eyes shifted around, how she bit her bottom lip, and how she kept playing with his shirt. He tilted his head.

“ Are you ok?” He asked startling her out of her thoughts, Grey’s blue eyes were slightly wide as they looked at him.

“ I-I’m fine. But…” she paused, biting her lip again. “ I have a surprise for you, but you need to close your eyes first!” She demanded, this made his brow furrow slightly, Grey never really demanded anything so it was quite surprising.

“ Ok,” Gauche hesitated slightly but he closed his eyes as she instructed, for a moment nothing happened and Gauche was about to open his eyes when he felt it.

He felt a pair of soft, timid lips press against his in a gentle kiss. He smirked a bit, so this was her surprise for him? He pulled her closer to him and held her tightly, while Grey moved her hands from his chest and wrapped them around his neck, not only to pull him closer but to try and deepen the kiss as well. Gauche could feel the passion and love she had for him in that kiss, but he could also feel the slight nervousness. So he moved a hand away from her waist and brought it up to cup her cheek, he gently stroked her cheek with his thumb and felt her nervousness slowly begin to melt away.

Finally the two broke apart, slightly breathless, their faces red, but both were smiling. Gauche rested his forehead against Grey’s, a lazy smirk still on his face. ‘I’ll have to go away more often if this is the welcome I’ll get.’ He thought with a low chuckle.

“ I missed you too Grey. A lot.” He admitted softly before placing a short kiss on her lips again, causing her blush to deepen once again. “ Thank you for the lovely surprise, I’ll have to repay you for it one day.”

Yami couldn’t stop grumbling, he had been summoned by Julius to come to his office, he claimed there was something important he needed to see. Yami had been confused at first, but he wasn’t really allowed to disobey a summons from the Wizard King. So he walked through the halls that he knew like the back of his hand, deep in thought, when he saw a flash of blonde out of the corner of his eyes. He turned and noticed it was the Prickly Princess herself, Charlotte Roselei. He watched her look up in surprise at him and her face turned a shade of pink.

“ Y-Yami? What are you doing here?” She asked as she came to a stop, she hadn’t seen him for a while, since everyone had been training in order to battle the Spade Kingdom. She watched him tilt his head and do a half-shrug.

“ The Wizard King summoned me, said he had something important to show me. You?” He asked as he also came to a stop.

“ Same here, I wonder if he summoned the other Captains as well.” Charlotte said curiously as she folded her arms, it wasn’t unusual for Julius to call them suddenly, but when it did it usually meant trouble for the Kingdom.

“ I didn’t see any of them, and I don’t sense their Qi, so I think it’s just us here.” He told her with a thoughtful scowl, Charlotte hadn’t seen any of them either, which made this meeting even more curious.

“ C’mon, let’s not keep him waiting.” Yami said suddenly as he began to walk away, she blushed even more as her mind raced ‘H-He wants to walk there together?! Won’t that give people the wrong impression?!’ Her mind screamed, but she shook her head and followed behind him. They could always say they met outside the door or something.

Charlotte watched as Yami knocked on the door, they heard Julius say something on the other side to signal to them that they could enter. Yami pushed the door open, allowing Charlotte to walk inside first, and closed it behind them.

“ Ah good you’re both already here.” Julius said with a warm happy smile, Charlotte and Yami walked up to the desk. It was still hard to believe that the Wizard King was now 13 years old, they had gotten so used to seeing him older that they would sometimes forget this was him.

“ Why are we here Julius?” Yami asked as he crossed his arms, he wasn’t really in the mood for chit chat, and he assumed Charlotte wasn’t either since she had a small scowl on her face as well. They were both trying to train their squads so they could face the Spade Kingdom, and this was distracting them from doing that.

“ Well,” he said with a sheepish laugh, that only made the two Captains scowl further. “ I went down stairs where we keep the forbidden magic items, and I stumbled across this portal. I don’t think it’s ever been used, anyway, I went down there looking to see if there may be an item to help me change back to my proper age. Well, instead I found her,” Julius moved out of the way and behind him sat a young girl around 14 years old.

She had long dark hair, bright blue eyes, and a small scowl on her face. Charlotte looked her up and down, she was wearing a deep blue knee length dress with a light blue cardigan, light blue stockings, and brown shoes. But what caught her attention was the cloak she was wearing, Charlotte’s eyes widened as she looked at the insignia, it was a Black Bulls robe, she looked over at Yami and saw he recognized it too. But if he was surprised he didn’t let it show.

“ Why did you give some random kid my squads robe Julius?” Yami asked as he suddenly grabbed a cigarette and put it into his mouth.

“ I’m not just some random kid! Also, if you’re going to smoke it’s best to do it outside or, even better, stop smoking. It’s bad for you.” The young girl remarked as she stood up from the chair she had been sitting in and walked over to stand next to Julius’s desk.

Charlotte and Yami blinked, this kid had quite the mouth on her. But he did as she asked and pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and put it back in it’s case. The young girl smiled in triumph, that's when Yami frowned. That smile, it looked familiar, but where had he seen it before?

“ Anytime I ask you to smoke outside you always ignore me, but when a child asks you too you listen and do it without a second thought.” Charlotte commented with a small laugh and a shake of her head, Yami rolled his eyes a bit, of course he was going to listen to a kid. He wouldn’t admit this to anyone, but he could be a big softie when it came to kids. He looked over and noticed Charlotte had a small smile on her face, he paled slightly, that was the same smile the young girl wore just a moment ago.

“ Hey kid, what’s your name?” He asked, hoping beyond hope that his gut feeling was wrong, that her Qi wasn’t what he saw it to be. The young girl glanced over to Julius who nodded, she turned back to them, her head held high as she announced.

“ My name’s Hikari, Hikari Sukehiro.” Both Captains paled, Sukehiro? As in Yami Sukehiro?! Charlotte turned to look at him, he wasn’t able to hide the surprise on his face at this revelation.

She felt a small pang in her chest, as though someone had just plunged a dagger into it, he had a daughter? With another woman? She shook her head, they weren’t dating so what right did she have to be hurt and upset, at the most they were just colleagues. Nothing more, nothing less. But it still hurt to think of him being with another woman, of him having a child with another woman.

“ This isn’t funny Julius.” Yami growled, he knew this wasn’t a joke, just from the way she stood he could tell she was his daughter, also from the way she had no problem telling him off about smoking. The only thing that confused him though, was why she had the same smile as Charlotte.

“ It isn’t a joke Yami, she came here from the future, at least according to her. I had Marx use his memory magic on her, everything she has told me is the truth and her memories prove it.” Julius said as he leaned back against his desk, Charlotte couldn’t help but glare at him slightly.

“ Why did you call me here then you majesty? Just so you could have a witness in case Yami tried to murder you?” She asked, a little more ice to her tone then she had intended. It didn’t go unnoticed. Julius blinked a bit before looking over at Hikari.

“ Um, I think you need to explain your parentage a little more, Hikari.” He stated with a nervous laugh, the young girl nodded.

“ Yes sir. It’s true, my father is Yami Sukehiro. But my mother,” she turned to look at the blonde haired woman. “ is Charlotte Roselei.”

Charlotte blinked at Hikari. Her? She was her mother?! No, no, no, that made no sense! How could she be this girl's mother? She and Yami weren’t even dating! There was no way Hikari was their daughter!

“ That makes sense,” Yami said suddenly, she whipped around to face him, her face brighter than the sun, and she gaped like a fish out of water.

“ H-How does this make sense?!” She suddenly shouted, she watched a small smirk tug at the corner of his lips.

“ Her Qi first off; it’s a mixture of mine and yours which is why I didn’t recognize it at first. Second, the way she carries herself is the same as you, her eyes are a similar shade although they’re a little lighter than yours, and her smile, heh, that smile; it’s exactly the same as yours.” He said the last part so softly, so warmly, it made Charlotte not only turn redder, but it made her heart melt. He...noticed how she smiled? Of course he did, he was very observant. But what she didn’t expect to see was how his smirk had changed into a warm loving smile, how his eyes had softened.

Charlotte had to be dreaming, she just had too!

“ So, umm...until we can get Hikari back to her own time, she’s going to have to stay with one of you or, if you want my opinion, both of you. Since she is your child and it’s probably what she’s used to, I’d suggest you all find somewhere to stay that’s close enough to each of your respective headquarters. I think it’ll be easier for Hikari to adjust that way.” Julius said with an innocent smile, both Captains couldn’t help but frown, was he trying to subtly get them to move in together? Yami suddenly sighed.

“ Fine, I guess we really don’t have much of a choice huh. Especially since that was an order.” Yami stated, causing Charlotte to gap at him even more, he wasn’t even going to try and convince the Wizard King that them moving in together was a very bad idea?! But as much as Charlotte wanted to argue, she could tell by the tone of the Wizards king's voice that it was, in fact, an order. She also couldn’t disagree, it would probably be better for the young girl if they all did live together. She suddenly chuckled humorlessly at the situation.

Finding out she had a daughter and now being ordered to move in with the man she was in love with who, by the way, was completely oblivious to her feelings for him? This was not how she was expecting this meeting to go!
