Just noticed something I thought was very interesting:

Victim depicts the Cursor as being giant in comparison to himself

When in reality this just wasn't true.

Victim's fear and trauma has caused him to re-imagine the Cursor into a much bigger monster than it ever was, something huge and horrible and capable of crushing him like a bug. A scale and strength fitting of how terrifying Victim considers it to be.

As opposed to the little thing barely bigger than his own head.

Except, those drawings look a little familiar...

This is literally Victim's worst nightmares made real.

Something tells me things aren't going to go very well, if the Cursor does end up being summoned into Rocket Corp...

#Maybe it's a good thing Victim never went far enough back in Chosen's memory to see Dark just getting absolutely bodied by Alan #Fam prolly would've started to have a panic attack right there in the Box #I think Victim would be confused if he saw the real Cursor again #After so long of building it up into such a giant beast #“Why is it so small? ...was it always that small...? the cato to annie pipeline is still real to me btw and something i think about because katniss is here thinking about both of them like "wow they are mentally ill" except she's legitimately scared of one and sees the other as docile/meek/an extension of her boyfriend/odd/non-threatening.

but what katniss doesn't seem to remember is annie came from a career district so not only could annie have easily been (and probably was) raised with a similar rhetoric/propaganda/mindset as cato but she also could have terrified the other kids in her arena the same way he did. they became trained killers but they're both exposed to the harsh realities of the arena, watch someone they care about die in a horrifically violent way, and lose themselves/their minds/what they were raised to believe in because of it

#and it's so interesting to think about what it would've been like if Cato won #because annie presumably resigned herself to death after her district partner got beheaded #yet even though cato became disillusioned with the Games after clove died you could tell in the book he was still determined to live #if only out of sheer survival instinct #it's like having an opposing mirror reflection in each other #no one wants to “deal with” annie so the Capitol writes her off as meek and unhinged and far gone #erratic and inarticulate and can't cope on her own (aka how fandom sees her)#but cato's a classic strong d2 victor and they need that image so instead of writing him off like with annie #the Capitol invents a narrative of “Oh he's like this bc he's a monstrous beast/lunatic”#meanwhile they both literally are just traumatised and need real help alsjfkrk #okay ignore me I'll go to bed #cato hadley #annie cresta #cato thg #thg cato #thg careers #the hunger games #anna speaks #thg

What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star
