The cafeteria buzzed with noise as Mingi leaned back in his chair, lazily picking at his fries while San and Hongjoong debated the best ways to sneak out of detention.
“I’m telling you,” San said, his voice muffled by a mouthful of food, “the trick is to fake being sick. Nobody wants to deal with a kid puking in the hallway.”
Hongjoong snorted. “Or you could just not get detention in the first place.”
“Where’s the fun in that?” San shot back, grinning.
Mingi, tuning out their banter, let his gaze wander around the room until it landed on Y/N sitting with her best friend, Chloe, across the cafeteria. Something about her unbothered attitude caught his attention, and before he could think better of it, he blurted out, “I bet I can make that Y/N girl fall in love with me.”
San froze mid-bite, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Mingi. “Nah, no you can’t.”
Hongjoong leaned forward, a slow grin spreading across his face. “If you think you can, prove it. Two months. Make her fall for you.”
Mingi smirked, already accepting the challenge in his mind. “Two months? Easy.”
San shook his head. “You’re gonna crash and burn, man.”
“Watch me,” Mingi said confidently, but as Y/N laughed at something Chloe said across the room, for the first time, he wondered if this might not be as easy as he thought.
“Alright, two months,” Hongjoong said, leaning back with a sly grin. “But let’s make it interesting. If you win, San and I buy your lunch for the rest of the year. If you lose, you’re buying ours.”
“Deal,” Mingi said without hesitation, his smirk unwavering.
San shook his head, clearly unconvinced. “You don’t even know anything about her. She’s not like the other girls you’ve messed with. She’s… I don’t know, different.”
“Different how?” Mingi asked, leaning forward with mock curiosity.
“She’s smart, for one,” San said, emphasizing the word. “And she’s not interested in guys like you. She doesn’t care about status or charm. You’re not her type.”
Mingi scoffed. “Everyone has a type, San. They just don’t know it until I show them.”
Hongjoong laughed, shaking his head. “You’re so full of yourself, it’s almost impressive.”
As they spoke, Y/N got up from her table with Chloe, walking past them on the way to the trash cans. She didn’t spare Mingi a glance, completely unaware of the wager she had just become the centerpiece of.
San nudged Mingi. “There she goes. Better start planning, Casanova.”
Mingi watched her walk away, a challenge flashing in his eyes. “Oh, I don’t need a plan. Just watch she won’t even know what hit her.”
Meanwhile, across the cafeteria, Chloe rolled her eyes as Y/N recounted her frustration with the latest group project in history class.
“He’s so annoying,” Y/N said, dropping her tray into the bin. “It’s like he’s trying to be the loudest person in the room every time we’re in class.”
Chloe followed, smirking. “Let me guess: Mingi?”
Y/N groaned. “Who else? He thinks he’s God’s gift to the school.”
Chloe shrugged. “To be fair, a lot of people seem to agree.”
“Well, not me,” Y/N said firmly. “I can’t stand guys like him.”
Chloe grinned knowingly but said nothing, falling into step beside her. “Let’s see how long that lasts,” she muttered under her breath.
“What?” Y/N asked, glancing at her.
“Nothing,” Chloe said with an innocent smile.
After school, Mingi stood by the lockers, scrolling through his phone while waiting for San and Hongjoong. His eyes darted up when he saw Y/N walking down the hallway, books tucked under her arm, Chloe beside her.
“Showtime,” Mingi muttered under his breath.
San and Hongjoong appeared out of nowhere, flanking him like bodyguards. “You’re really going for it now?” San asked, eyeing Y/N warily.
“Why not?” Mingi smirked, stuffing his phone in his pocket. “Time to work my magic.”
As Y/N and Chloe approached, Mingi stepped into their path, his trademark grin firmly in place.
“Y/N, right?” he said casually, leaning against the lockers like he had all the time in the world.
Y/N stopped, her brow furrowing as she glanced at Chloe before looking back at him. “Yeah… and you’re Mingi.”
“Wow, she knows me already,” he teased, his voice dripping with charm. “I’m flattered.”
Y/N’s expression didn’t budge. “You’re loud. It’s hard not to know who you are.”
Chloe snickered softly, trying to hide her amusement.
Mingi’s grin didn’t falter. “Fair enough. But I figured it’s about time we actually talk. You know, get to know each other.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Why not?” Mingi shot back smoothly. “You seem interesting. Different.”
Y/N crossed her arms, her tone flat. “I’m not interested in being another girl on your list, if that’s what you’re aiming for.”
The comment caught him off guard for a second, but he quickly recovered, his smirk returning. “Who said you’re on a list? I’m just trying to be friendly.”
“Right,” Y/N said, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Well, thanks for the… friendly effort, but I’m good.”
With that, she stepped around him, Chloe following closely, though she glanced back at Mingi with an amused look.
San let out a low whistle. “Ouch. That didn’t go as planned.”
Hongjoong clapped Mingi on the back, grinning. “Guess you’re not as smooth as you thought.”
Mingi watched Y/N disappear down the hallway, determination sparking in his eyes. “This is just the beginning,” he said, more to himself than to them. “She’ll come around. They always do.”
Meanwhile, as Y/N and Chloe walked outside, Chloe couldn’t hold back anymore. “That was hilarious. Did you see his face?”
Y/N sighed. “I don’t get why he’s wasting his time on me. He has literally every other girl throwing themselves at him.”
Chloe shrugged. “Maybe he likes the chase. Or maybe he’s just bored.”
“Well, he can stay bored,” Y/N muttered. “I’m not playing his game.”
Chloe smirked, nudging her. “We’ll see about that.”
Y/N and Chloe walked side by side on the way home, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows on the pavement. Chloe twirled her water bottle idly, breaking the comfortable silence.
“So… what’s your deal with guys?” Chloe asked casually.
Y/N gave her a sideways glance. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, every time a guy so much as says hi to you, you shut him down like they’re trying to sell you something. What’s up with that?” Chloe asked, a playful but curious tone in her voice.
Y/N sighed, shifting her books in her arms. “It’s not like that. I just don’t have the energy for all the drama that comes with it. Guys like Mingi? They’re all the same charming until they get what they want, and then they move on. Why waste my time?”
Chloe raised an eyebrow. “You sound like you’ve been burned before.”
“I’ve seen it happen to too many people,” Y/N replied, her voice firm. “If a guy really wants to know me, he’s going to have to prove he’s not just playing around.”
Chloe nodded slowly. “Fair enough. But what if someone’s actually serious about you? Would you give them a chance?”
Y/N hesitated, her steps slowing. “Maybe. But I’m not holding my breath. It’s easier to focus on things I can control, you know?”
Chloe grinned. “Well, if nothing else, watching you deal with Mingi is going to be my new favorite pastime.”
Y/N groaned. “Don’t encourage him. He’s probably already planning his next move.”
The next day, Y/N walked into school, her earbuds in and her focus on her playlist. She didn’t notice Mingi waiting near her locker until he stepped into her path.
“Morning, sunshine,” Mingi greeted, his grin as bright as ever.
Y/N pulled out an earbud, staring at him. “What do you want now?”
“Just wanted to say hi,” he said, leaning casually against the locker next to hers. “And maybe see if you’d like to grab coffee after school.”
Y/N blinked, genuinely surprised. “You’re kidding.”
“Nope. I’m dead serious,” Mingi said, holding a hand to his chest like he was pledging allegiance.
She scoffed, opening her locker. “Why would I do that?”
“Because I’m persistent?” he offered, his tone light. “And because I’m actually interested in getting to know you.”
Y/N pulled out a notebook and turned to him, unimpressed. “You don’t even know my favorite color.”
Mingi didn’t miss a beat. “Blue. Or maybe green. Something calm, but with a little edge.”
She raised an eyebrow, surprised he’d even try. “Wrong. It’s purple.”
“Noted,” Mingi said, nodding solemnly. “See? I’m learning already.”
“Not fast enough,” Y/N muttered, slamming her locker shut. “Look, Mingi, I don’t know what you think this is, but it’s not going to work. Save yourself the trouble.”
As she walked away, Mingi called after her, “I like a challenge!”
Chloe, who had been watching from nearby, walked up to Mingi, shaking her head with a smirk. “You’re really going all out, aren’t you?”
Mingi shrugged, unbothered. “She’ll come around. They always do.”
Chloe crossed her arms, giving him a pointed look. “Y/N’s not like ‘they,’ and you know it. If you really want her to take you seriously, maybe try being genuine for once.”
Mingi raised an eyebrow. “What makes you think I’m not?”
Chloe laughed softly. “Because I’ve seen your track record, and so has she. You want advice? Don’t try to outsmart her. She’s smarter than you think.”
With that, Chloe turned and walked toward Y/N, leaving Mingi standing alone by the lockers. For the first time, his confidence wavered just slightly. Maybe Chloe was right maybe he needed to switch up his game.
That evening, Mingi lay sprawled on his bed, the glow of his bedside lamp casting soft shadows on the walls. His phone rested on his chest, notifications piling up from girls who were all too eager to talk to him. Yet, for once, he didn’t care.
His mind was somewhere else on Y/N.
“What’s her deal?” he muttered to himself, tossing his phone onto the nightstand. “She’s not even trying to play hard to get. She just doesn’t care.”
It was… unsettling. He was used to his charm working instantly, but Y/N hadn’t even flinched. In fact, she’d made him feel like the one chasing her and that was new.
Mingi sat up, rubbing the back of his neck as his thoughts spiraled. He replayed every word she’d said earlier: the sharpness in her tone, the way she’d brushed him off like he was nothing. It wasn’t just rejection it was indifference.
“Okay, think,” he said aloud, grabbing a notebook from his desk. “What’s the next move?”
Flipping open the pages, he started jotting down ideas:
1. Find out what she likes – Chloe said she’s smart. Maybe books? Music?
2. Stop being predictable – She clearly sees me as some player. Prove I’m more than that.
3. Show genuine interest – No games, no big gestures. Just… be real?
Mingi stared at the last note, his pen hovering above the page. Be real? He wasn’t sure he even knew how to do that. His whole persona was built on confidence, on knowing exactly what to say and when to say it. Could he really strip all of that away?
He leaned back in his chair, spinning the pen in his fingers. “If she’s different, maybe I have to be different, too.”
For the first time in a long while, Mingi felt a pang of uncertainty. He didn’t know if this was a challenge he could win, but he wasn’t about to back down.
A knock on his door snapped him out of his thoughts.
“Mingi, dinner’s ready,” his mom called from the hallway.
“Coming,” he replied, closing the notebook and tossing it onto his desk.
As he headed downstairs, one thought lingered in his mind: if Y/N wanted him to be real, then real was what she’d get.
The next morning, Mingi arrived at school with a new strategy in mind. He wasn’t going to overwhelm Y/N with grand gestures or cheesy pick-up lines. No, this time he’d take it slow, chip away at her walls bit by bit.
He spotted her at her locker, pulling books out for her first class. As usual, Chloe stood nearby, chatting animatedly. Mingi took a deep breath and approached, plastering on his most casual smile.
“Morning, Y/N,” he said, his tone softer than usual.
Y/N glanced at him briefly, then returned her attention to her locker. “Hi.”
Chloe raised an eyebrow at Mingi but said nothing, clearly waiting to see what he’d do next.
“Need help carrying those?” he offered, motioning to the stack of books in her arms.
Y/N shut her locker and turned to him with a deadpan look. “No, thanks. I’ve been managing just fine on my own.”
Mingi nodded, undeterred. “Fair enough. Just thought I’d ask. So, what’s on the agenda today? Anything exciting?”
Y/N started walking toward her class, and Mingi fell into step beside her. “Not really. Why do you care?”
He shrugged. “Trying to get to know you. Isn’t that what people do?”
Y/N sighed, clearly exasperated. “Look, Mingi, I don’t know what you’re trying to prove, but you can stop. I’m not interested.”
Chloe trailed behind them, suppressing a grin as Mingi simply smiled and said, “Noted. But I’m still not giving up.”
For the next two weeks, Mingi kept his word. Every day, he found subtle ways to get Y/N’s attention asking her opinion on random topics during lunch, joining her group in gym class, and even sitting near her in the library. He didn’t push too hard, but he was always there, persistent and consistent.
At first, Y/N barely acknowledged him. She rolled her eyes at his jokes, ignored his questions when she could, and even told him outright that he was wasting his time. But Mingi didn’t waver.
One day after school, Y/N sat in the library with Chloe, trying to finish an essay. Mingi wandered in, holding a coffee cup in one hand and a book in the other.
“Hey,” he said, sliding the cup onto the table in front of her.
Y/N looked up, confused. “What’s this?”
“Black coffee,” Mingi replied with a shrug. “Thought you could use it. You look like you’ve been here for hours.”
Chloe stifled a laugh as Y/N narrowed her eyes at him. “What makes you think I like black coffee?”
“You seem like the no-sugar type,” he said confidently.
Y/N hesitated, then took a tentative sip. It was perfect. She hated that he got it right.
“Thanks,” she mumbled, turning back to her work.
Mingi didn’t stay, and for the first time, Y/N found herself thinking about him long after he’d left.
By the end of the second week, Y/N finally gave in. As she walked out of school with Chloe, she spotted Mingi leaning against the gate, his usual grin in place.
“What now?” she asked, stopping in front of him.
Mingi held up his hands in mock surrender. “Relax, I’m not here to bother you. Just thought I’d ask if you want to grab some dinner or something. It’s been a couple of weeks, and I’d say we’ve made progress, don’t you think?”
Y/N narrowed her eyes, trying to hide the fact that she was intrigued. “What are you really trying to do, Mingi?”
He shrugged, looking completely at ease. “I’m just trying to get you to see that I’m not like the other guys. Not everyone’s out for something. I just thought maybe you’d give me a chance to prove that.”
Y/N glanced at Chloe, who was quietly watching the interaction with a knowing look in her eyes. Chloe leaned in slightly, whispering just loud enough for Y/N to hear, “You know, he’s been trying. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to give him a shot.”
Y/N hesitated. She hadn’t expected Mingi to be this persistent, or this… genuine, in his own way. The truth was, a part of her was curious.
“Fine,” she said after a long pause. “But only because you’ve been so obnoxious about it for two weeks.”
Mingi’s grin widened. “Deal. I’ll pick you up at six.”
As Y/N walked away with Chloe, she couldn’t help but feel a strange mix of excitement and reluctance. This could end up being one big mistake or maybe, just maybe, it was the start of something unexpected.
That evening, Mingi pulled up to Y/N’s house in his car, his heart beating a little faster than usual. He wasn’t used to feeling this nervous, but this wasn’t like the other dates he’d been on. This wasn’t some game at least, not anymore. He had to prove he was serious.
When Y/N stepped outside, dressed casually but effortlessly put-together, Mingi’s breath caught in his throat. She was different from anyone he’d ever had to chase, and for the first time, he felt unsure of himself.
“Hey,” she said as she slid into the passenger seat, offering a small but genuine smile.
“Hey,” Mingi replied, his voice uncharacteristically softer than usual. “You look great.”
“Thanks,” Y/N responded with a slight shrug, settling into the seat. “I’m just hoping this dinner isn’t going to be some disaster.”
Mingi laughed, trying to ease the tension in the air. “I promise it’s not a setup for some awful prank.”
“I wasn’t worried about that,” she said dryly, glancing over at him. “I just don’t know why you keep insisting on hanging out. You’ve been pretty persistent.”
“Well,” Mingi said as he started the car, “maybe I like a challenge. And maybe I think you’re… worth the effort.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow but didn’t respond. She was still guarded, and Mingi could feel the distance between them, though he was determined to close it.
They arrived at a cozy little café a few minutes later, a place far away from the prying eyes of their schoolmates. It was quiet, with dim lighting and a peaceful atmosphere nothing like the bustling hangout spots Mingi usually frequented.
As they walked inside, Mingi held the door open for her, and they took a seat at a small corner booth. He could feel her watching him, studying him, as if she was waiting for him to slip up.
“So, what made you choose this place?” Y/N asked, looking around the café with a slight tilt of her head.
“I thought you might like something… low-key,” Mingi said, leaning back in his seat. “I’m not all about loud clubs and parties. Sometimes I want a little peace and quiet too.”
Y/N blinked, surprised by his honesty. “Huh. Guess I didn’t expect that from you.”
“I guess that’s the point,” he said with a slight smirk. “I’m full of surprises.”
They fell into an easy silence as the waitress came to take their orders. Once she left, Y/N leaned forward slightly, her curiosity piqued.
“So, what’s the deal with you, Mingi? You’re like… the guy everyone knows but no one really knows, you know?”
Mingi paused, the question catching him off guard. For a moment, he wondered if this was just a roundabout way of asking about his past relationships.
“I guess I’m just… living in the moment,” he said after a beat, looking down at his hands. “Not really thinking too much about the future.”
Y/N watched him carefully. “And do you ever think about the future? Or is it just one person after another?”
Mingi looked up at her, his expression slightly more serious than before. “I don’t know,” he said quietly. “Maybe I’ve been trying to keep things light because I’m not sure how to handle real feelings. I know it’s easier to just keep moving than to deal with the mess that is emotions.”
Y/N blinked, taken aback by his vulnerability. She had expected him to brush it off, but there he was, opening up to her in a way she hadn’t anticipated.
“I get that,” she said softly. “Sometimes it’s easier to stay detached. But eventually, that catches up with you, right?”
Mingi nodded slowly. “Yeah. I guess it does.”
They sat in silence for a few moments, letting the conversation settle before their food arrived. Mingi tried to keep the mood light as they ate, cracking jokes here and there, but he noticed Y/N’s walls slowly coming down. She was still guarded, but she wasn’t shutting him out as much as she had before.
After a while, Y/N looked at him with a small smile. “You know, I didn’t think I’d actually have a good time tonight.”
Mingi’s heart skipped a beat. “So, does this mean I’ve earned a little bit of your trust?”
She hesitated, then nodded. “Maybe. You’ve been surprising me, Mingi. I didn’t think you could actually have a conversation without it feeling like some game.”
“Well, I can be serious when I want to be,” Mingi said, leaning in slightly. “And I’m starting to think I might want to be serious with you.”
Y/N stared at him, her eyes searching his face for any signs of his usual arrogance or playboy charm. But all she saw was sincerity, and for the first time, she allowed herself to soften.
“Okay,” she said after a long pause, her voice quieter now. “I’ll admit, I didn’t expect this from you. But… I’m still not convinced this is all real.”
Mingi reached across the table, gently brushing his fingers against hers. “Give me a chance to prove it.”
Y/N looked down at their hands, the gesture surprisingly gentle. She had always thought of Mingi as someone who only cared about getting what he wanted, but now she wasn’t so sure.
“I’ll think about it,” she said, looking back up at him. “But you’re not getting off that easy.”
Mingi grinned. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
As they finished their meal, the air between them had shifted. It was no longer about playing games or pretending. For the first time, they were both being honest with each other and that felt like the beginning of something real.
Two weeks had passed since Mingi’s dinner with Y/N, and things were… different. A lot had changed, but not in the way he’d expected. Sure, he was still pursuing her, but now it wasn’t just about winning the bet. There was something more to it, something that made his usual confidence feel more like a subtle uncertainty. He’d actually begun to care about what Y/N thought.
But tonight, Mingi sat with San and Hongjoong, the two of them eagerly waiting to hear about his progress. It was time to talk about the bet.
“So, how’s it going, bro?” Hongjoong asked, a teasing glint in his eye. “You sure you’ve got this in the bag?”
Mingi leaned back in his chair, his usual cocky smile making a reappearance. “Oh, yeah. It’s going smoothly. She’s softening up. She’s definitely starting to like meprobably more than she realizes.”
San raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “You’re sure? You’re not, like, falling for her or anything, right? Because I remember you saying it was just a bet.”
Mingi paused at San’s words, a strange discomfort settling in his chest. He quickly shook it off. “Nah, I’m not falling for her. It’s all part of the plan. She’s just… getting used to me. And I’m playing it smart. It’s not like I’m putting all my eggs in one basket.”
Hongjoong leaned in, smirking. “You’re starting to sound a little defensive. You sure you’re not starting to care?”
Mingi’s gaze flickered for a moment, his thoughts betraying him. He quickly cleared his throat and forced a laugh. “Nah, you guys know I’m all about winning. I just like to keep things interesting, you know?”
San and Hongjoong exchanged a look, both silently processing what they’d just heard.
“So, what’s the plan now?” Hongjoong asked, eager to hear what Mingi would do next.
Mingi grinned, tapping his fingers on the table. “Next step? I’m taking her out again this weekend. I’ve been keeping things casual no pressure, just a little fun. She’s definitely starting to let her guard down. The more time I spend with her, the more she opens up.”
San leaned back, looking skeptical. “Just be careful, Mingi. You’re playing a dangerous game. You can’t mess around with someone like Y/N for too long without catching feelings.”
Mingi’s eyes narrowed. “I told you, I’m not falling for her. I’ve got this under control. Just watch.”
Hongjoong gave a knowing smile. “Well, if you say so. But don’t forget, a bet’s a bet. You better be careful not to get too caught up in the process. You’ll end up playing yourself.”
Mingi grinned, though it was a little more strained than usual. “Nah, trust me. I know what I’m doing. This is just a game, and I’m always winning.”
Over the next few days, Mingi’s interactions with Y/N grew increasingly familiar. They started talking more, spending time together in and out of school sometimes at the café, sometimes just hanging out at the park. Every conversation felt easier, more comfortable. And yet, with each passing day, Mingi found himself questioning how much of it was part of the plan and how much was because he genuinely wanted to be around her.
As much as he told himself he was just playing the game, there was something about the way Y/N smiled when they talked, the way her eyes softened when she spoke to him, that made his heart beat a little faster. And for the first time, Mingi wasn’t sure if he was winning the bet or if he was just losing himself in the process.
But for now, he pushed those thoughts aside. The bet was still on. And in his mind, winning was all that mattered.
It had been one month and two weeks since Mingi and Y/N started hanging out, and the connection between them had evolved in ways neither of them expected. Their usual banter was still there, but now it was accompanied by something deeper something unspoken but undeniable.
This time, Mingi had invited Y/N to a cherry blossom field, the perfect place for a quiet afternoon picnic away from the noise of school and the eyes of others. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden light over the sea of pink petals that surrounded them. The air smelled fresh, and the gentle breeze made the blossoms sway, scattering petals like confetti around them.
They were seated on a blanket, surrounded by sandwiches, fruit, and iced tea, but neither of them were really paying attention to the food. Instead, they were lost in conversation genuine, easy, and comfortable in a way neither of them had anticipated.
“So, tell me,” Y/N said, a playful glint in her eyes, “what’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever done to impress someone?”
Mingi laughed, leaning back on his hands. “Oh, that’s a long list. Probably the time I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a concert ticket just to impress some girl who didn’t even end up going.” He shrugged nonchalantly, but there was a hint of amusement in his voice. “Lesson learned don’t try too hard.”
Y/N smirked. “Seems like you’ve learned a few things the hard way, huh?”
Mingi grinned, his eyes locking with hers for a brief moment. “Yeah, but I think that’s how you get better at this whole… ‘life’ thing.”
The conversation shifted to lighter topics favorite books, weird childhood stories, random facts they’d both learned. Each topic was a little more personal, a little more revealing. Y/N found herself laughing more than she had in a while, and Mingi couldn’t help but admire the way she smiled, the way she made everything feel so natural.
At some point, the chatter died down, and they both sat in a comfortable silence, watching the petals float through the air. The sun was setting now, casting a soft glow over everything, and the world felt as if it had slowed down just for them.
Without realizing it, they had shifted closer to each other on the blanket. Y/N was now sitting with her legs crossed, facing Mingi, their knees almost touching. The closeness felt different from anything they had shared before, and for a brief moment, Mingi’s heart raced in a way it never had during their hangouts. He had spent so much time trying to impress her, trying to win her over, but now, in this quiet, peaceful space, he realized he didn’t need to do anything.
Y/N, too, noticed the change in the air between them. Her pulse quickened as she met his gaze, the space between them closing slowly, almost naturally. For a moment, she thought about pulling away, about asking if this was a bad idea but something in Mingi’s eyes told her he was just as unsure, just as tentative.
Then, without thinking, she reached out, gently brushing her hand against his. It was a subtle gesture, but the impact was immediate. Mingi’s breath hitched, his gaze dropping to where their hands were connected, and then slowly, he met her eyes again.
The world seemed to blur around them, the noise of everything else fading away. It was just the two of them, the cherry blossoms, and the beating of their hearts.
Mingi leaned in first, drawn by something he couldn’t name, something that had been building between them for weeks. Y/N’s breath caught as their faces grew closer, the tension thickening. There was no going back now.
And then, without a word, their lips met in a soft, tentative kiss. It was slow at first, gentle, as if neither of them wanted to break the fragile moment they had created. Mingi’s hand moved to cup her face, his thumb brushing her cheek as he deepened the kiss just slightly, testing the waters.
Y/N responded in kind, her hand moving to his chest as the kiss grew more urgent, more needy. Her heart raced as the feeling of Mingi’s lips on hers felt so right, so real, and yet so unexpected.
When they finally pulled away, they were both breathless, their foreheads resting against each other, eyes closed as they tried to collect themselves.
“I didn’t plan on that,” Y/N whispered, her voice shaking slightly, the words feeling like an admission of something she hadn’t fully realized until now.
Mingi’s lips quirked into a small, soft smile, his thumb still brushing her cheek. “Me neither,” he murmured, his voice low and sincere.
For a few seconds, neither of them spoke. The moment felt too precious, too delicate to break with words. They were still so close, the space between them charged with something neither of them could deny anymore.
“I think I should take you out more often,” Mingi said softly, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes searching hers.
Y/N chuckled, though it was a little nervous, her heart still pounding in her chest. “Yeah, I think you should.”
And for the first time, there were no games, no pretense. Only the two of them, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the cherry blossoms, and a kiss that neither of them would ever forget.
After the kiss, the world around them felt suspended in time. Neither of them rushed to speak, neither of them pulled away. Instead, they simply existed in the moment, their breaths steady and soft as they let the stillness of the cherry blossom field surround them.
Y/N shifted slightly, tilting her head until it gently rested against Mingi’s shoulder. He tensed for a brief second, but then, as if it was the most natural thing in the world, he relaxed and let her settle closer to him. Her hair was soft against his arm, and for a moment, the world seemed to be just the two of them, a peaceful calm settling over them both.
The sun hung low in the sky, its warm golden light casting a soft glow over the field. The cherry blossoms swayed in the breeze, their petals drifting lazily to the ground, like a slow, natural dance. The sound of distant birds and the rustling of leaves in the wind filled the silence, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was the kind of silence that spoke volumes, that told them everything didn’t have to be said out loud to feel real.
Mingi glanced down at Y/N, her eyes closed as she leaned against him, her face soft and peaceful. He felt something stir inside him something that wasn’t just the thrill of the bet or the challenge anymore. He couldn’t pinpoint it exactly, but there was a warmth in his chest that made him want to protect this moment, to keep it frozen in time.
For a while, they just watched the sunset together, neither of them feeling the need to fill the silence with words. The sky had turned from soft orange to pink, and then to a deep purple as the sun slowly sank below the horizon. It was beautiful quiet, simple, and perfect in a way that neither of them had anticipated.
“This is nice,” Y/N murmured, breaking the stillness just enough for Mingi to hear her. Her voice was soft, as if she didn’t want to disturb the peace they’d found.
Mingi smiled, his gaze still on the sunset. “Yeah, it is.” He hesitated for a moment, then added, “I’m glad you came with me today.”
Y/N smiled to herself, not opening her eyes, but feeling the sincerity in his words. “I’m glad I came too.”
They fell silent again, the gentle evening breeze wrapping around them, the air cool but not uncomfortable. As the last rays of sunlight disappeared behind the horizon, Mingi couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of contentment.
For so long, he’d lived his life in motion, always chasing the next thing, the next thrill, the next conquest. But here, with Y/N’s head on his shoulder and the world quietly fading into night, he felt… at peace.
And for once, he didn’t feel the need to chase anything.
“I think I could get used to this,” Mingi said quietly, his words almost to himself, but loud enough for Y/N to hear.
Y/N’s lips curved into a soft smile, but she didn’t open her eyes. “Me too.”
The night stretched on, but neither of them moved. They stayed there, watching the sky turn darker, the stars beginning to appear, their breaths in sync. And for the first time in a long time, Mingi didn’t feel the pressure of the bet, the weight of the game he was playing. He just felt… here. With her.
And in that moment, that was enough.
The next day at school, Mingi leaned casually against the lockers, a smug grin spread across his face as he recounted the events of the previous evening to San and Hongjoong. The hallway was busy with students heading to class, the usual noise and chatter filling the air, but Mingi’s voice carried just enough to be heard over the commotion.
“And then, we kissed,” Mingi said, his tone confident. “I told you guys I’d get her to fall for me. She’s hooked now. Guess that means I win the bet.”
San raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Damn, so you really pulled it off, huh?”
Hongjoong nodded, crossing his arms. “Didn’t think you’d make it, honestly. Two months is a long time to stay focused on one girl.”
Mingi shrugged, trying to play it cool, though there was a flicker of something uneasy in his chest. “What can I say? I’m just that good.”
Unbeknownst to them, Y/N had stopped just around the corner, her heart sinking as she heard every word. She had been on her way to meet Chloe, but the sound of Mingi’s voice caught her attention, and curiosity had gotten the better of her. Now, she wished she hadn’t listened.
Her chest tightened, and her throat felt dry as the reality of what she was hearing hit her like a ton of bricks. The past few weeks the laughter, the conversations, the kiss under the cherry blossoms it had all been part of a game. A bet.
Her hands clenched into fists as she stepped out from behind the wall.
the corner, her eyes burning with unshed tears. The hallway noise seemed to dull around her, and all she could focus on was Mingi’s smug expression as he laughed with his friends.
“Really?” Y/N’s voice rang out, sharp and trembling with hurt.
Mingi froze mid laugh, his eyes snapping to her. The color drained from his face as he realized she’d heard everything. “Y/N…”
San and Hongjoong exchanged uneasy glances, both taking a cautious step back as Y/N approached. Her gaze was icy, a mix of betrayal and anger swirling in her eyes.
“So, this was all just a bet?” Y/N’s voice cracked slightly, but she didn’t falter. “Everything the texts, the hangouts, the cherry blossom field it was all just some stupid game to you?”
Mingi opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out. He felt like the air had been knocked out of him.
“I can’t believe I actually thought you were different,” Y/N continued, her voice growing louder. “I thought you’d changed, that maybe you actually cared about me. But I was wrong.”
“Wait, Y/N, let me explain—” Mingi started, stepping toward her, but she shook her head, cutting him off.
“Explain what?” she snapped, her voice trembling with emotion. “That you tricked me? That you pretended to like me just so you could win a bet? There’s nothing to explain, Mingi. I get it now.”
The hallway had grown quieter, students slowing down to watch the scene unfold. Y/N’s chest heaved as she tried to keep her composure, but the tears she’d been holding back finally spilled over.
Mingi’s heart sank as he saw the pain in her eyes. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Somewhere along the way, he had stopped thinking about the bet. Somewhere along the way, he had started to care about her really care.
“Y/N, it’s not like that,” Mingi said, his voice softer now, desperate. “I—”
“It’s exactly like that,” Y/N interrupted, her voice breaking. “You lied to me, Mingi. You made me believe you actually cared, but you don’t. You never did.”
She turned on her heel, storming away before he could say another word. Mingi reached out instinctively, but San grabbed his arm, stopping him.
“Let her go, man,” San said quietly.
Mingi stood there, frozen, watching Y/N disappear down the hallway. The weight of what had just happened hit him like a punch to the gut. He had hurt her badly. And for what? A stupid bet?
Hongjoong let out a low whistle, breaking the tense silence. “Well, that just blew up in your face.”
Mingi shot him a glare but didn’t say anything. His mind was racing, replaying every moment he’d spent with Y/N over the past few weeks. The sound of her laughter, the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she loved, the feeling of her head resting on his shoulder under the cherry blossoms.
He didn’t just like her. He was in love with her. And now, because of his own stupidity, he’d ruined everything.
“What are you gonna do now?” San asked, his voice low, almost cautious.
Mingi ran a hand through his hair, frustration and regret etched across his face. “I don’t know,” he muttered. “But I have to fix this. Somehow.”
For the first time in his life, Mingi wasn’t thinking about winning. He wasn’t thinking about the bet, or his pride, or his reputation. All he could think about was Y/N and how he might have lost the best thing that had ever happened to him.
Y/N sat on her bed that evening, staring blankly at the wall. Her chest felt heavy, her mind replaying Mingi’s words from earlier that day like a broken record. “I told you guys I’d get her to fall for me. She’s hooked now. Guess that means I win the bet.”
Her stomach churned every time she thought about it. How could she have been so naive? So foolish to think someone like Mingi could genuinely care for her? All those moments they shared, the laughs, the kiss it was all fake. A game to him.
Tears slid down her cheeks, hot and relentless. She thought back to the way Mingi had looked at her yesterday in the cherry blossom field, the way he smiled, the softness in his voice. It all felt so real. But it wasn’t. It was a lie.
A soft knock on her bedroom door pulled her from her thoughts. Chloe stepped in, her expression cautious as she held a tray with tea and cookies. “Hey,” she said gently, setting the tray on Y/N’s nightstand. “I thought you might need this.”
Y/N gave her a weak smile, wiping her face. “Thanks.”
Chloe sat beside her, her tone careful. “You don’t have to talk about it, but… I’m here if you need me.”
For a moment, Y/N didn’t respond. Then, her voice came out in a whisper. “I really thought he cared, Chloe. I thought he was different.”
Chloe’s jaw tightened. “Mingi’s an idiot,” she said firmly. “And if he thinks he can just waltz back in and fix this, he’s got another thing coming.”
Y/N nodded, her resolve hardening. She wasn’t going to let him hurt her again.
The next day at school, Mingi tried to approach her, but Y/N ignored him completely. She walked past him in the hallway as if he didn’t exist. When he called out her name, she kept walking, refusing to even glance in his direction.
“Y/N, wait! Please, just hear me out!” Mingi pleaded, but she acted as though she couldn’t hear him.
This pattern continued for days. No matter where he tried to catch her in the hallways, at lunch, after class she refused to engage. Mingi’s usual confidence was nowhere to be found. His friends noticed it too.
“You look like a lost puppy,” San said one afternoon, watching Mingi slump into his seat.
Hongjoong raised an eyebrow. “Did you really think apologizing once was going to fix this? You humiliated her, man. You’ve got work to do.”
Mingi sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I know. I just… I didn’t think it’d be this hard to get her to listen to me.”
That evening, Mingi stood outside Y/N’s house with a bouquet of her favorite flowers in hand. He had been there every night since the incident, each time hoping she might open the door. But each time, she didn’t.
He knocked softly, his heart pounding in his chest. When the door opened, his hopes lifted only to see Chloe standing there, arms crossed, glaring at him.
“What do you want, Mingi?” she asked flatly.
“Is Y/N home?” he asked, his voice almost pleading. “I just want to talk to her. Please.”
“She doesn’t want to see you,” Chloe said firmly, stepping closer as if to block his view inside. “And honestly, can you blame her?”
Mingi’s shoulders slumped, but he didn’t leave. “I know I messed up,” he admitted. “I was an idiot, okay? But I… I care about her. More than I’ve ever cared about anyone. And I need her to know that.”
Chloe’s expression softened slightly, but she didn’t move. “She’s hurt, Mingi. You need to give her time.”
With that, she closed the door, leaving Mingi standing on the porch, clutching the flowers in defeat.
Days turned into weeks, but Mingi didn’t stop trying. Every day, he brought flowers to Y/N’s house. Every day, he tried to catch her at school. And every day, she ignored him.
One afternoon, as Y/N was walking home, she noticed Mingi waiting for her at the corner of her street. She sighed, her resolve starting to waver as she saw the flowers.
determination in his eyes. He looked tired, his usual confident demeanor replaced with something softer something more vulnerable. In his hands, he held yet another bouquet of flowers, slightly wilted from being carried around all day.
“Y/N,” Mingi called out gently, stepping toward her. “Please. Just give me five minutes.”
She stopped walking, crossing her arms as she stared at him, her gaze guarded. “Why? So you can feed me more lies?”
“No,” he said quickly, his voice almost breaking. “I just… I need to explain. I know I don’t deserve for you to hear me out, but I’m begging you.”
Y/N hesitated. Part of her wanted to turn around and leave, to keep the walls she’d built intact. But another part of her the part that remembered the Mingi who sat with her under the cherry blossoms wanted to hear him out.
She sighed and finally said, “You have five minutes.”
Mingi’s shoulders sagged with relief as he stepped closer, careful not to overstep her boundaries. “Thank you,” he murmured. He took a deep breath, then began.
“When this all started, I was stupid. I thought it was just a game a challenge. I didn’t think about how it might hurt you because I wasn’t thinking at all. And I know that makes me a jerk, but somewhere along the way, everything changed.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, but she didn’t interrupt.
Mingi looked down at the flowers in his hands, his voice quieter now. “Spending time with you, getting to know you… it stopped being about the bet. I started looking forward to seeing you every day, hearing your voice, learning all the little things that make you… you.”
He met her eyes then, his own filled with an earnestness she hadn’t seen before. “I fell for you, Y/N. And not because of some stupid bet. I fell for you because you’re amazing. And I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness, but I wanted you to know the truth. I’m not that guy anymore. Not because I decided to change, but because you made me want to be better.”
Y/N’s chest tightened at his words. She could see the sincerity in his expression, the raw honesty in his voice. But the hurt was still there, lingering like a shadow over everything.
“I don’t know if I can believe you,” she admitted, her voice soft but steady. “How do I know this isn’t just another part of your game?”
Mingi took a step closer, holding out the flowers to her. “Because I’m still here. I’ve been here every day, trying to fix what I broke. I don’t care about the bet, Y/N. I care about you. And I’ll keep proving it, no matter how long it takes.”
For a long moment, Y/N just looked at him, her emotions warring inside her. She wanted to trust him, to believe that he had changed, but the fear of being hurt again held her back.
Finally, she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. “I need time, Mingi. I don’t know if I can forgive you yet.”
Mingi nodded, a small, sad smile on his face. “I understand. Take all the time you need. I’m not going anywhere.”
He handed her the flowers, and for the first time in weeks, Y/N accepted them. She didn’t say anything else as she turned and walked away, but Mingi stood there, watching her until she disappeared into her house.
For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt a sliver of hope. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to keep him going.
That night, Y/N sat on her bed, the bouquet of flowers resting on her nightstand. She stared at them, the faint scent of roses filling the air. Her emotions were a tangled mess—anger, sadness, confusion, and something she didn’t want to admit: a lingering flicker of hope.
She wanted to hate Mingi, wanted to hold on to the pain he caused her. But the way he had looked at her today, the vulnerability in his voice, made her question everything. Was he really different? Had he truly fallen for her, or was it just another ploy?
She sighed, leaning back against her pillows. As much as she tried to push the thought away, the truth was clear: she still cared about him. But caring about him didn’t erase the hurt. It didn’t undo the betrayal.
Over the next few days, Mingi continued to prove his sincerity. He didn’t push her for more time or overwhelm her with grand gestures. Instead, he found small ways to show her he was still there.
When she walked into school one morning, she found a note tucked into her locker:
I’m sorry for everything. I’m not giving up on us, no matter how long it takes. – M
When she went to her favorite café with Chloe, the barista handed her a drink with a sticky note attached:
I saw you order this once. Thought you could use a pick me up. – M
Each little act chipped away at her defenses. She couldn’t ignore the effort he was putting in, but she also couldn’t let her guard down entirely. Not yet.
One evening, a week after their conversation, Y/N was sitting on the steps outside her house when she saw Mingi approaching. He wasn’t holding flowers this time, just his hands in his pockets and an uncertain look on his face.
“Hey,” he said softly, stopping a few feet away.
“Hey,” she replied, her tone cautious but not cold.
“Can I sit?” he asked, gesturing to the step beside her.
She hesitated, then nodded. “Sure.”
Mingi sat down, the silence between them heavy but not uncomfortable. He looked at her for a long moment before speaking. “I wanted to say something. Something I should have said a long time ago.”
Y/N turned to him, her heart racing. “What is it?”
He took a deep breath, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “I love you, Y/N. I know I’ve done everything to mess this up, and I don’t deserve you, but I couldn’t keep it to myself anymore. I love you.”
Her breath hitched as his words sank in. She searched his face, looking for any sign of insincerity, but all she saw was raw, unfiltered truth.
For a moment, she didn’t say anything. Mingi’s heart pounded as he waited, the seconds feeling like hours.
Then, finally, she spoke. “I…” She paused, her eyes softening. “I love you too, Mingi.”
His eyes widened in surprise and relief, a smile breaking across his face. “You do?”
She nodded, a small smile of her own forming. “I do. But this doesn’t mean everything is fixed. I still need time to trust you again.”
Mingi reached for her hand, his touch gentle. “I’ll wait as long as it takes. I promise.”
Y/N felt a glimmer of hope not just for Mingi, but for them.
Over the next few weeks, Y/N and Mingi slowly began to rebuild what had been broken. It wasn’t easy there were moments when doubt crept in, when Y/N’s walls went back up, or when Mingi questioned whether he could ever fully make up for his mistakes. But through it all, they found ways to meet in the middle.
Mingi was patient, careful not to push her too far. He started showing up for her in ways that felt genuine offering to walk her home from school, helping her carry her books, and being a constant presence in her life. When they talked, he listened, really listened, and Y/N found herself opening up to him in ways she hadn’t expected.
One afternoon, they found themselves at the park where they had shared their first kiss. The cherry blossoms were long gone, replaced by vibrant green leaves, but the memory lingered. They sat under the same tree, Mingi leaning against the trunk while Y/N stretched out on the grass beside him.
“You know,” she said, twirling a blade of grass between her fingers, “I didn’t think I’d ever be able to look at you without feeling angry.”
Mingi turned to her, his expression soft. “And now?”
“Now,” she said, glancing at him with a small smile, “I’m starting to feel like I can trust you again.”
He smiled, relief washing over him. “That means more to me than you know.”
Days turned into weeks, and their connection only grew stronger. Mingi wasn’t just a part of her life now he was a constant. They studied together, laughed together, and even shared secrets under the stars.
One evening, after a particularly long day of classes, Mingi and Y/N found themselves at her favorite café. The place was quiet, the soft hum of conversation filling the air as they sat by the window.
Y/N was sipping her drink when she noticed Mingi fidgeting. He kept glancing at her, then at his hands, like he was trying to muster the courage to say something.
“What’s up with you?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Mingi chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. “I, uh… I’ve been thinking about something.”
“Okay…” she prompted, leaning forward slightly.
He took a deep breath, his eyes meeting hers. “I know I’ve said this before, but I need you to know how much you mean to me. These past few weeks, rebuilding things with you it’s been everything to me. You’re everything to me, Y/N.”
Her cheeks flushed, and she looked down at her drink, a smile tugging at her lips. “Mingi…”
“No, let me finish,” he interrupted, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “I’ve spent so much of my life running from things, from feelings, from anything real. But with you… I don’t want to run anymore. I want to be better, not just for you but for myself too. And I want to do it with you by my side.”
He reached across the table, taking her hand in his. “Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?”
Y/N blinked, her heart skipping a beat as his words sank in. She hadn’t expected this not now, not tonight but as she looked into his eyes, she saw the sincerity, the hope, and the love he had for her.
“Yes,” she said softly, her smile widening. “I’ll be your girlfriend.”
Mingi’s face lit up, and he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. “You won’t regret it,” he said, squeezing her hand gently.
“I know I won’t,” Y/N replied, and for the first time in a long time, she felt like everything was exactly as it should be.
The next day at school, Mingi couldn’t stop smiling. His usual confident swagger was there, but it felt different now lighter, more genuine. His friends, San and Hongjoong, were quick to notice as they sat at their usual spot on the bleachers during lunch.
“You’re practically glowing,” San teased, nudging Mingi with his elbow. “What’s going on? Did Y/N finally agree to hang out with you again or something?”
Mingi grinned, unable to hold it in any longer. “Actually… she said yes.”
Hongjoong furrowed his brow. “Yes to what?”
“To being my girlfriend,” Mingi said, his smile growing even wider.
San’s jaw dropped, and Hongjoong let out a low whistle. “No way,” San said, shaking his head in disbelief. “You’re telling me Y/N the girl who doesn’t give anyone the time of day actually agreed to date you?”
“Yep,” Mingi said, leaning back with a satisfied look. “And I didn’t even have to bribe her or anything.”
Hongjoong laughed, clapping him on the back. “Well, I’ll admit, I didn’t think you had it in you. But I’ve got to say, I’m happy for you, man. You’ve been different lately. Better.”
San nodded, his expression turning more serious. “Yeah, for real. I mean, I know we teased you a lot, but I can tell you actually care about her. Don’t mess this up.”
“I won’t,” Mingi promised, his tone firm. “She means too much to me.”
Meanwhile, Y/N was sitting with Chloe in their favorite spot in the courtyard, sipping on iced tea and enjoying the warm afternoon sun. Chloe had been unusually quiet, and Y/N finally spoke up.
“Okay, spill it. I know you have something to say,” Y/N said, setting her drink down and giving Chloe a pointed look.
Chloe sighed, leaning back against the bench. “I just… I’m happy for you, Y/N. Really, I am. I’ve never seen you this happy before.”
“But?” Y/N prompted, raising an eyebrow.
“But,” Chloe continued, “I also know how much you’ve been hurt before. I just want to make sure you’re being careful. Mingi’s great and all, but he’s… well, he’s Mingi. You know what I mean.”
Y/N nodded, her smile softening. “I know. And trust me, I’ve thought about it. But he’s been different lately, Chloe. He’s really trying, and I can see it. I’m not saying I’m throwing caution to the wind, but… I think he’s worth taking a chance on.”
Chloe studied her for a moment, then smiled. “Okay. If you believe in him, then I’ll believe in him too. Just know I’ve got your back if he ever messes up.”
“I know,” Y/N said with a laugh, reaching out to squeeze her friend’s hand. “Thanks, Chloe. That means a lot.”
“And for the record,” Chloe added with a smirk, “I never thought I’d see the day where you started dating someone. Mingi must be some kind of miracle worker.”
Y/N rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face. “Yeah, well, he’s definitely something.”
Over the next few weeks, Mingi and Y/N’s relationship blossomed. They spent every spare moment together, from quiet study sessions in the library to playful banter during lunch. Y/N found herself smiling more than ever, and Mingi’s friends could see how much she had softened him.
Even Chloe, who had been skeptical at first, started warming up to the idea of them being together. She’d catch glimpses of how Mingi looked at Y/N when he thought no one else was watching like she was the only thing that mattered in the world and it was hard not to root for them.
It had been a couple of months since Y/N and Mingi officially started dating, and everything was going better than Y/N could have imagined. He had proven himself over and over again not just to her, but to Chloe, her family, and even his own friends. Mingi’s playful charm had melted into something deeper and more genuine, and Y/N couldn’t deny how much she’d come to trust him.
Tonight, they were at his house. The usual sounds of his family bustling around were absent, and the house felt unusually quiet. Mingi’s mom had gone out for the evening, leaving the two of them alone.
In his room, they were sprawled across his bed, a bowl of popcorn between them as a movie played on the screen. The soft glow of fairy lights he’d strung up around his room gave the space a cozy warmth.
Y/N popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth, giggling as a particularly ridiculous scene unfolded on the screen. “Okay, this might be the worst movie you’ve ever made me watch,” she said, glancing over at him.
Mingi grinned, leaning back against the headboard. “Excuse me, this is a cult classic,” he said, feigning offense. “You just don’t appreciate the art of bad action movies.”
“Oh, I appreciate it, all right,” she teased. “I just don’t know why the hero needs to somersault every five seconds.”
“It’s called flair,” Mingi shot back, tossing a piece of popcorn at her.
Y/N laughed, dodging it easily. “Flair, my foot. It’s ridiculous, and you know it.”
He smirked, setting the bowl of popcorn aside and turning to face her fully. “Ridiculous? You want to talk about ridiculous? You’re the one who cried during that cartoon about a dog the other day.”
Her mouth fell open in mock outrage. “That was emotional, and you know it!”
Mingi chuckled, his gaze softening as he looked at her. “Okay, okay, I’ll give you that one.”
For a moment, neither of them spoke, the movie playing in the background forgotten. Mingi reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “You’re really cute when you’re all worked up, you know that?”
Y/N felt her cheeks heat under his gaze. “Stop,” she said with a shy smile, swatting at his arm.
“I’m serious,” he said, his voice quieter now. “You’re… amazing, Y/N.”
The sincerity in his tone made her heart skip a beat. She looked up at him, meeting his eyes, and saw nothing but warmth and affection.
“You’re not so bad yourself, Mingi,” she replied softly.
He smiled, leaning closer, his hand resting gently on her cheek. “Can I kiss you?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/N’s breath hitched, but she nodded, her heart racing. “Yeah,” she whispered back.
Mingi closed the gap between them, his lips brushing against hers in a kiss that was slow and sweet, filled with all the emotions neither of them could put into words.
When they pulled apart, Y/N rested her forehead against his, a small smile playing on her lips. “You’re really good at this, you know.”
“Good at what?” he asked, his own smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“Making me fall for you,” she said softly.
Mingi’s heart swelled at her words, and he pulled her into his arms, holding her close as the movie continued in the background.
In that moment, nothing else mattered just the two of them, wrapped up in each other, as if the rest of the world didn’t exist.
As the movie droned on in the background, neither of them paid it any attention anymore. Mingi’s fingers absentmindedly traced patterns along Y/N’s arm, and she found herself leaning into his touch. Their faces were close again, and it wasn’t long before his lips found hers once more, the kiss deeper this time, more deliberate.
Her hands slid up to his shoulders, gripping his shirt lightly as he shifted closer. The bowl of popcorn tumbled onto the floor, but neither of them noticed. All that mattered in that moment was each other.
Mingi pulled away just enough to catch his breath, his gaze locking with hers. His eyes searched her face, as if asking for silent permission to take things a step further. When she gave a slight nod, he leaned back in, capturing her lips again.
This time, the kiss grew more intense, and before Y/N knew it, she was on her back, Mingi hovering over her. His hands braced on either side of her, keeping his weight off her, but the closeness between them was undeniable.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured against her lips, his voice low and full of emotion.
Her heart raced as she looked up at him, her hands finding their way to his hair. She tugged him back down for another kiss, and he didn’t hesitate to oblige, leaning in fully now as the space between them disappeared completely.
Mingi’s kisses deepened, his lips moving from hers to her jawline and down to the sensitive spot just below her ear. Y/N shivered beneath him, her hands tangling in his hair as his touch became bolder. His fingertips trailed lightly down her sides, sending a wave of warmth through her.
“Tell me if I should stop,” he whispered, his voice husky and filled with sincerity.
Y/N shook her head slightly, her breath hitching as his lips moved lower. “Don’t stop,” she murmured, her voice barely audible but filled with certainty.
Taking her response as reassurance, Mingi’s hands began to explore more freely, gliding over the curves of her body with a tenderness that made her heart race. His lips found hers again, the kiss slow but filled with an unspoken intensity.
His fingers slipped beneath the hem of her shirt, brushing against her skin, and he paused, looking into her eyes for any sign of hesitation. When she nodded, he continued, his hands lifting the fabric slowly, giving her time to adjust with each inch.
“Y/N,” he breathed, his forehead resting against hers as he gently pulled the shirt over her head, his gaze filled with awe and affection.
Mingi then fully pulled her shirt over her head and threw it onto the ground before, unbuckling her bra and tossing that to the ground as well.
Mingi hovered over Y/N, his hands planted on either side of her head as he looked down at her. He took a moment to admire the sight of her beneath him, her chest rising and falling rapidly with each breath.
He leaned down, capturing one of her nipples between his lips. He swirled his tongue around the sensitive bud, eliciting a soft moan from her.
He could feel her body responding to his touch, her back arching off the bed as she pressed herself closer to him. He smiled against her skin, his free hand moving to the other breast, rolling her nipple between his fingers.
Y/N writhed beneath him, her body writhing with pleasure as he teased her nipples. She let out a series of soft gasps and moans, her hands tangling in his hair as she clung to him.
"Mingi..." she breathed, her voice laced with need. "Please..."
He lifted his head, his eyes dark with desire as he looked at her. "Please what, princess?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
"I need you," she whimpered, her hips bucking up against him. "I need you to touch me."
Mingi chuckled, a low, dangerous sound that sent shivers down her spine. "Oh, I will, princess," he said, his hand trailing down her body. "But I'm going to take my time with you. I want to make you beg for it."
He continued to tease her, his lips and hands exploring every inch of her body. He knew all the spots that made her shiver and gasp, and he used that knowledge to his advantage.
He kissed his way down her neck, leaving a trail of marks in his wake. He nipped at her collarbone, his teeth scraping against her skin.
"You're so beautiful like this," he murmured against her skin. "All spread out for me, desperate for my touch."
Mingi moved lower, his lips and tongue tracing a path down her stomach. He paused at the waistband of her panties, his fingers hooking under the fabric.
He looked up at her, a wicked glint in his eyes. "Lift your hips for me, princess," he said, his voice firm but gentle.
Y/N obeyed, lifting her hips off the bed as he pulled her panties down, exposing her to him completely. He settled between her legs, his hands gripping her thighs to keep her in place.
Mingi gazed at her for a moment, taking in the sight of her spread out before him. She was a vision of beauty, her skin flushed and her eyes dark with desire.
He lowered his head, his breath hot against her center. He pressed a soft kiss to her inner thigh, his lips trailing closer and closer to where she needed him most.
He could smell her arousal, could see the evidence of her desire glistening on her skin. He teased her with his fingers, lightly brushing against her folds before withdrawing.
Mingi finally gave in to her need, his tongue darting out to lick a slow stripe up her slit. She cried out, her body arching off the bed at the sensation.
He chuckled against her, the sound vibrating through her body. He lapped at her, his tongue exploring every inch of her folds with a skillful precision.
He found her clit, flicking his tongue against it in a steady rhythm that had her moaning and writhing beneath him. He knew just how to push her buttons, how to drive her wild with pleasure.
Mingi alternated between sucking and licking her clit, his hands holding her hips in place as he worked. He could feel her getting closer to the edge, her thighs trembling around his head.
He looked up at her, his eyes locking onto hers as he continued to devour her. He loved watching her come undone, loved seeing the look of pure ecstasy on her face.
He pushed two fingers inside her, curling them just right to hit that sweet spot deep inside her.
Mingi continued to pump his fingers in and out of her, his tongue never leaving her clit. He could feel her walls fluttering around his fingers, a sure sign that she was close.
He quickened his pace, his fingers moving faster and harder as he brought her closer to her release. He knew she was on the brink, could feel her body tensing up beneath him.
Mingi doubled his efforts, his fingers and tongue working in tandem to push her over the edge. He sucked hard on her clit, his free hand moving to pinch her nipple.
Y/N cried out, her body shaking with pleasure. She was completely lost in the sensations, unable to form coherent words as she neared her peak.
Her moans grew louder, a mix of curses and pleas falling from her lips. She could feel the heat building low in her belly, her muscles tightening with each thrust of his fingers.
Mingi could feel her getting tighter around his fingers, her walls clenching desperately as she approached her orgasm. He knew she was right on the edge, knew that all it would take was one final push to send her over.
He curled his fingers inside her, hitting that sweet spot with unerring accuracy. At the same time, he bit down on her clit, a sharp jolt of pain that sent her hurtling into ecstasy.
Y/N screamed his name as she came, “ah mingi~” her body arching off the bed as waves of pleasure crashed over her. She writhed beneath him, her walls spasming around his fingers as he worked her through her orgasm.
Mingi pulled back, his lips and chin glistening with her arousal. He sat back on his heels, his eyes raking over her flushed and trembling body.
He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, a satisfied smirk on his face. "You taste so good, princess," he said, his voice low and husky.
He reached down, pulling off his sweatpants and boxers in one swift motion. His cock sprang free, already hard and straining for release.
He leaned back against the headboard, his eyes fixed on her. "Come here," he said, beckoning her towards him.
Y/N crawled over to him, her body still buzzing with the aftershocks of her orgasm. She settled between his legs, her eyes fixed on his hard cock.
She looked up at him, her gaze filled with a mixture of desire and submission.
Mingi smirked, his fingers threading through her hair as he guided her closer to his cock. "Open your mouth, princess," he commanded, his voice firm but gentle.
Y/N obeyed, her lips parting as she looked up at him. She knew what he wanted, knew exactly how to please him.
He guided her head down, his cock sliding past her lips and into her warm, wet mouth. He let out a low groan, his grip on her hair tightening slightly.
Mingi's grip on her hair tightened as she took him deeper into her mouth. He groaned, his head falling back against the headboard as pleasure coursed through his body.
"Fuck, princess," he growled, his hips bucking up slightly. "Your mouth feels so good."
Y/N gagged as he hit the back of her throat, but she didn't pull back. She looked up at him through watery eyes, her hands bracing herself against his thighs.
Mingi could feel her throat constricting around him, the sensation sending sparks of pleasure shooting up his spine. He tightened his grip on her hair, using it to guide her movements as he pushed her head down further.
Y/N gagged again, her throat convulsing around Mingi's cock. The sensation was almost too much for him, the tight, wet heat of her mouth driving him wild.
He loved watching her struggle to take him, loved seeing the way her eyes watered and her cheeks hollowed out as she tried to breathe around him.
"You're doing so well, princess," he murmured, his voice strained. "Taking my cock so deep in your throat like a good girl."
Mingi continued to guide her head up and down his length, his hips moving in time with her movements. He could feel his orgasm building, the tension coiling tightly in his gut.
He looked down at her, taking in the sight of her kneeling between his legs, her lips stretched around his cock. She looked so beautiful like this, so completely submissive and willing to please him.
He tightened his grip on her hair again, pushing her head down further than before. "I'm close, princess," he grunted, his voice rough with need.
Y/N pulled back slightly, her tongue swirling around the tip of Mingi's cock. She lapped at the sensitive head, swirling her tongue around it in slow, deliberate circles.
Mingi groaned, his eyes fluttering shut as pleasure shot through him. "Just like that, princess," he panted, his fingers tightening in her hair.
He could feel his release building, the tension in his body reaching its peak. He bucked his hips up, his cock hitting the back of her throat once more.
"I'm gonna cum," he warned, his voice strained. "Swallow it all, princess. Be a good girl for me."
Y/N continued to suck and lick him, her movements becoming more desperate as she sensed his impending orgasm. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with a mix of desire and obedience.
Mingi's body tensed, his muscles coiling tightly as he reached the edge. He let out a strangled cry, his hips jerking as he spilled himself into her mouth.
Y/N swallowed obediently, taking every drop of his cum without hesitation. She continued to suckle at his cock, milking him for all he was worth.
Mingi groaned, his head falling back against the headboard as he came down from his high. "Good girl," he panted, his fingers loosening their grip on her hair. "Such a good girl for me."
Mingi took a moment to catch his breath, his chest heaving as he looked down at Y/N.
He reached out, gently stroking her cheek with his thumb. "Lay down on your stomach, princess," he said, his voice low and commanding.
"Yes, sir," Y/N replied, her voice soft and obedient.
She did as she was told, rolling onto her stomach and pillowing her head on her arms. She felt vulnerable in this position, exposed and at his mercy.
Mingi moved behind her, his hands trailing over her back and down to her hips. He positioned himself between her legs, his cock resting against her entrance.
Mingi ran his hands over her ass, his fingers digging into the soft flesh as he admired her body. He loved the way she looked like this, spread out beneath him and completely at his mercy.
He teased her with the tip of his cock, running it up and down her folds without actually entering her. He could feel her growing wetter with each pass, her body aching for him to fill her.
Mingi leaned over to the bedside table, opening the drawer and pulling out a pair of handcuffs. He held them up for Y/N to see, a smirk on his face.
"You know what these are for, princess?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Y/N's eyes widened slightly, her heart rate picking up at the sight of the handcuffs. She nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, sir."
Mingi fastened the handcuffs around her wrists, securing them tightly so that she was effectively bound and at his mercy.
He ran his hands up her arms, his fingers tracing the smooth skin of her back. "You look so good like this, princess," he murmured, his voice rough with desire. "Helpless and restrained, all mine to do with as I please."
Mingi grabbed a handful of her hair, yanking her head back roughly. He leaned down, his lips brushing against her ear as he spoke.
“Such a good little slut for me," he growled, his grip on her hair tightening. "You're mine to use and abuse, aren't you?"
Y/N moaned, her body arching into his touch as he spoke. "Yes, Daddy," she gasped, her voice filled with need. "I'm all yours, to do whatever you want."
Mingi chuckled, his hand still tangled in her hair as he leaned back. He admired the sight of her bound and submissive beneath him, her body trembling with anticipation.
"That's right, princess," he said, his voice rough with desire. "You belong to me, and I'm going to use you however I see fit."
He shifted his position, positioning himself at her entrance. He teased her for a moment longer, rubbing the head of his cock against her folds before finally pushing inside.
Y/N moaned softly as he entered her, the feeling of being filled by him both pleasurable and overwhelming. She was completely at his mercy, her body and pleasure entirely in his control.
Mingi groaned, his grip on her hair tightening as he sank into her fully. "You're so tight, princess," he grunted, his hips moving in a slow, steady rhythm.
He leaned forward, his chest pressed against her back as he began to move inside her. He continued to pull her hair, forcing her head back at an uncomfortable angle.
"Look at you," he growled, his voice low and degrading. "Bound and helpless beneath me, taking my cock like the little good girl you are."
Y/N whimpered, her body writhing beneath him as he spoke. His words were like a drug, sending shivers of pleasure and shame coursing through her veins.
"P-Please," she gasped, her voice strained and stuttering. "Please, Daddy, harder."
Mingi chuckled darkly, his hips snapping forward with renewed force. "Such a needy little thing," he said, his voice laced with mockery. "Begging for more like the desperate little slut you are."
Mingi grabbed a fistful of her hair, yanking her head back so hard that it almost hurt. He pulled her up onto her knees, forcing her back to arch and her body to bend to his will.
"Is this what you want, princess?" he growled, his breath hot against her ear. "You want it rough and merciless, huh? You want me to use you like a toy?"
Y/N's eyes widened, a mixture of pain and pleasure coursing through her as he pulled her hair. She could barely speak, her voice coming out in stutters and gasps.
"Y-yes, Daddy," she managed to gasp, her body trembling with need. "P-please, be rough with me. Use me however you want."
Mingi flipped her over, easily maneuvering her onto her back despite her bound wrists. He knelt between her legs, his eyes raking over her flushed and trembling body.
he thrust back into her.He wrapped his hand around her throat, his fingers pressing lightly against her skin.
"You look so beautiful like this, princess," he said, his voice rough with desire. "Helpless and at my mercy, completely under my control."
Mingi continued to pound into her, his hips snapping forward with each thrust. His hand around her throat tightened slightly, not enough to cut off her air but enough to send a thrill of danger coursing through her veins.
“You're mine, princess," he growled, his eyes locked on hers. "Your body, your pleasure, everything belongs to me. And I'm going to take it all."
Y/N moaned and writhed beneath him, her body arching into his touch as he took her roughly. The feeling of his hand around her throat and the sound of his grunts were driving her wild, pushing her closer and closer to the edge.
Mingi continued to pound into her, his grunts growing louder and more frequent as he approached his own release.
"You're so good for me, princess," he panted, his voice rough with exertion. "Taking my cock so well, so perfect for me."
Y/N's voice was barely coherent, her words coming out in a stream of gasps and moans.
"D-daddy," she managed to stutter, her body trembling with pleasure. "Please, I'm so close."
Mingi's grip on her wrists and throat tightened, his movements becoming more urgent and frantic as he chased his own release.
"I know you are, princess," he grunted, his voice strained. "Cum for me, let go and give me everything you have."
Y/N's body tensed, her back arching off the bed as her orgasm hit her like a tidal wave. “Ah~ daddy..”, her voice hoarse and broken as she clenched around him.
Mingi continued to thrust into her, riding out her orgasm as he chased his own release. The feeling of her tightening around him was too much to bear, and he soon followed her over the edge. “fuck princess..” mingi grunts out.
He groaned, burying himself deep inside her as he spilled himself inside her. His body shuddered with the force of his orgasm, his grip on her throat loosening slightly.
Mingi collapsed on top of her, his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. He released her throat, his hands coming to rest on her hips instead.
He remained inside her for a few moments, savoring the feeling of her body beneath him. He could feel the sweat cooling on their skin, their bodies slick with a mixture of sweat and cum.
He lifted his head, looking down at her with a mixture of satisfaction and affection. "You did so well, princess," he murmured, his voice still rough from exertion.
Mingi carefully pulled out of her, his body still trembling from the intensity of their encounter. He rolled onto his side, gently helping her to sit up and remove the handcuffs.
He massaged her wrists, checking to make sure they weren't too sore or bruised from being restrained. Once he was satisfied that she was okay, he leaned in and kissed her forehead softly.
"Come on, princess," he said, standing up and holding out a hand to her. "Let's go get cleaned up."
Y/N took his hand, her legs still a bit shaky as she stood up. She leaned against him for support, feeling both exhausted and satisfied after their intense session.
Mingi wrapped an arm around her waist, guiding her towards the bathroom. He turned on the shower, adjusting the temperature until it was just right before stepping inside with her.
He pulled her under the warm spray, letting the water wash away the sweat and other fluids from their bodies. He took his time cleaning her, gently running his hands over her skin and washing away any evidence of their previous activities.
Once they were both clean and dry, Mingi led Y/N back to the bed. He pulled back the covers, letting her climb in before sliding in beside her.
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close against his chest. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, holding her tightly as they settled into the bed.
"I love you, princess," he murmured, his voice soft and affectionate. "You were amazing tonight."
Y/n softly says “I love you too mingi”
They both eventually drift off to sleep.
The next morning, sunlight streamed softly through the window, casting a warm glow over Mingi’s room. The world outside seemed quiet, and for once, everything felt still. Y/N lay nestled against Mingi’s chest, her head resting against his shoulder, the faint scent of his cologne still lingering in the air. She felt peaceful, safe, and content.
Mingi shifted slightly, his deep morning voice filling the quiet room. “I think I’m still half asleep,” he mumbled, his words slow and groggy, but it only made Y/N smile.
“You definitely sound it,” she teased softly, raising her head slightly to meet his sleepy eyes.
He chuckled, the sound low and warm, before pulling her back into his embrace. “I’m not a morning person… but I’ll make an exception for you.”
Y/N laughed, burying her face into the crook of his neck. “Well, lucky for you, I’m also not a morning person,” she said, a hint of humor in her voice.
They both fell into a comfortable silence, just lying there together, basking in the simple joy of being close. After a moment, Mingi broke the quiet again, his voice teasing. “Do you remember how you tried to steal all the blankets last night in your sleep?”
Y/N rolled her eyes, laughing. “I wasn’t trying to steal them! You were hogging them all!”
“Uh-huh, sure,” Mingi grinned, pulling her even closer. “You just can’t resist my charm.”
She snorted. “It’s not your charm. It’s your body heat.”
He smirked, clearly pleased with himself. “Either way, you were still stuck with me.”
Y/N sighed contentedly, her hand resting against his chest. “I can’t believe how much I love this. Just… being here with you, in this moment.”
Mingi’s smile softened, his thumb gently tracing circles on her back. “Same here. I’ve never felt anything like this before, Y/N. You make everything feel… right.”
Y/N paused, lifting her head slightly to look at him. The warmth in his eyes made her heart swell. “Mingi…”
He gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing over her skin as his voice grew sincere. “I love you. I love you so much, Y/N.”
Y/N felt a rush of emotion flood through her. She had never been this sure of anything in her life. “I love you too, Mingi,” she whispered, her voice filled with the depth of everything she had been feeling.
Mingi’s smile widened, and he kissed her forehead gently. “I’m so lucky to have you.”
“And I’m lucky to have you,” Y/N replied, her heart full as she snuggled into him, both of them wrapped in the quiet of their own little world, where nothing else mattered except each other.

The Freeloader
Tumblr media
I think Brian resents me a little bit sometimes. I can see it in the way he sighs when he gets home and finds the mess I’ve made. Or how he mutters under his breath when he has to clean up after me. It’s the little things, you know? The unspoken tension of living with someone who doesn’t quite pull their weight.
After all, I am a freeloader. I stay in his apartment rent-free, eat food I didn’t buy, and, let’s face it, I don’t exactly contribute to the household chores. The dishes? Never done them. Laundry? Forget it. I’ve even been known to, uh, occasionally puke on the floor and not clean it up. Not my proudest moments.
Brian’s patience is admirable, really. He’s a good guy, but I get it—dealing with me isn’t always easy.
Maybe I should give you a bit more context. Because I’m starting to sound like the world’s worst roommate.
I’m Oscar. And I’m a border collie.
Yeah, that’s right. A dog. Brian adopted me as a puppy about five years ago. Back then, I was just a tiny ball of fur, all wobbly legs and oversized ears. I don’t remember much about that first day, but I do remember Brian’s face. He looked so happy, like he’d just won the lottery or something.
“Hey there, little guy,” he’d said, crouching down to meet me. His voice was warm, and his hand smelled like leather and soap. “You’re coming home with me.”
I’d wagged my tail so hard I nearly tipped over.
Brian named me Oscar because, according to him, I “looked like an Oscar.” I still have no idea what that means. Is it a compliment? An insult? A random name pulled out of thin air? Who knows. Humans are weird.
Speaking of weird things—Brian decided to do something truly odd last week. And when I say odd, I mean completely unhinged.
It started with him bursting through the door, practically tripping over his own feet. In his hand was a small package wrapped in plain brown paper. His face was lit up with this manic excitement, like he’d just discovered the secret to immortality or something.
“Oscar!” he said, grinning like a lunatic. “You’re not gonna believe this.”
I tilted my head, ears perked, doing my best What now, human? expression. He tore the package open with the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning. Inside was… well, I didn’t know what it was. It looked like a gadget from one of those sci-fi shows he loves—small, sleek, covered in blinking lights and wires.
He knelt down to my level, holding the device out like it was a sacred relic. “Okay, bud. This is going to sound crazy, but hear me out. We’re about to do something revolutionary.”
I barked once, a sharp, skeptical sound.
He laughed. “Don’t look at me like that. You’re gonna love it.” He held the device up and fiddled with some buttons. “This little beauty here? It’s going to let us switch places. You’re going to become me, and I’m going to become you.”
I froze. Did he just say…? No. No way. He couldn’t mean—
Brian must’ve noticed my horrified expression because he quickly added, “Don’t worry, it’ll be quick. Totally painless!” He paused and then muttered, “Well, mostly painless.”
I barked again, this time louder, more insistent. Brian, what are you doing?
“Relax, Oscar.” He ruffled my fur absentmindedly and pulled a folded letter from his pocket, tossing it onto the table. “That’ll explain everything. You can read it later.”
Read it? I thought, incredulously. I’m a dog, Brian. I can’t—oh. Oh no.
Before I could react, he strapped one end of the device to my head and the other to his own. The straps were snug, and the metal pressed against my fur uncomfortably. I started barking frantically, thrashing to shake it off, but Brian was determined.
“It’s going to be fine,” he said, his voice oddly calm. “Just trust me.”
Trust him? He was about to Frankenstein us into a science experiment! I tried to pull away, but then he pressed a button, and everything went white.
An electric shock surged through my body, like a lightning bolt exploding inside me. I yelped—no, I screamed. The world around me blurred and twisted, the sounds of Brian’s voice and my barking melting into a chaotic whirlwind.
When the light finally faded, I gasped for air, my chest heaving. Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. My limbs felt strange—too long, too heavy. I looked down and nearly fainted. Hands. I had hands. Fingers. Thumbs. I touched my face and felt smooth skin where there should have been fur.
I stumbled to my feet—human feet—and looked around. My gaze fell on Brian—or rather, what used to be Brian. Now, sitting where he’d been moments ago, was a dog. Not a border collie like I’d been, but a scruffy-looking mutt with wiry fur and floppy ears.
He was barking like mad, pacing in frantic circles.
“Brian?” I croaked. My voice was strange—deep and raspy. I slapped a hand over my mouth, shocked at the sound.
Brian—Dog Brian—stopped barking and stared at me. His tail wagged hesitantly, and then he barked again, as if to say, What the hell just happened?
I turned back to the table and grabbed the letter with trembling hands. It was addressed to me—well, to “Oscar.”
With a shaky breath, I unfolded it and began to read.
I unfolded the letter and started to read, my new hands shaking slightly.
"Dear Oscar,
I know this is going to sound crazy, but if you’re reading this, then everything worked (kind of, I hope). First, I need to explain something. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends for the past year. Two jobs, skyrocketing rent, inflation—I’m barely keeping my head above water. It has been rough, man.
I haven’t had a break in so long, and I’m… I’m tired, Oscar. Really tired. I thought about taking a vacation, but that’s impossible when you’re me. Then I found this device online—don’t ask me where. It promised a way to swap places. I thought, hey, why not?
So, here’s the deal: I need you to step into my shoes for a few weeks. Go to work for me, handle the apartment, just… keep things running while I take a much-needed break as a dog. You’ll get to experience life as a human, which has to be interesting for you, right? Win-win!
If something goes wrong or you decide you really don’t want to do this, you’ll have to wait 24 hours before the device can be used again to switch us back.
Thanks for being my best friend, Oscar. I know you’ve got this.
—Brian”
I stared at the letter, my new heart pounding. Then, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror. Staring back at me was a man—a tall, broad-shouldered, salt-and-pepper-bearded man.
Tumblr media
My mind reeled. Brian had clearly thought I’d end up in his body, but that wasn’t what had happened at all. Instead, I was in some completely different human form. And judging by the frantic barking from Dog Brian, this was as much of a shock to him as it was to me.
“Brian!” I said, my voice deep and gravelly. He stopped barking and tilted his head, his floppy ears twitching. “This isn’t what you planned, is it?”
He let out a series of short, high-pitched barks, spinning in a circle. I had no idea what he was trying to say, but his agitation was clear.
I sighed, leaning heavily against the table. “I guess we’re stuck like this for at least a little bit now.”
I turned my attention to back myself in the mirror. My new self. Slowly, I held up my hands, turning them over to examine the calloused palms and long fingers. They were strong and well-defined. My arms were muscular, the veins faintly visible under the skin. I ran a hand over my face, feeling the thick beard and the sharp line of my jaw. My hair was thick, dark with streaks of gray at the temples.
I took a step closer, staring in disbelief. “I… I’m hot?” The words slipped out before I could stop them. “Holy crap, I didn’t realize humans could look like this.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brian—er, Dog Brian—let out a loud, sharp bark, clearly unimpressed with my self-discovery. He pawed at the ground and then sat, glaring at me with the kind of judgment only a dog—or a former human—could muster.
“Don’t look at me like that,” I said, grinning despite myself. “This is your fault, you know. If you’d done your research, we wouldn’t be in this mess.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. Brian had always been kind of short and pudgy, with a perpetual look of exhaustion. But this body? This was something else. I was tall, lean, and athletic, with strong hands and long legs. And the beard? Come on. I looked older than Brian—probably because five in dog years is, what, thirty-five in human years? But it suited me.
I flexed my arms experimentally. “I guess being an athletic and handsome dog translates into being an athletic and handsome human,” I said with a smirk.
Brian barked again, this time a low, annoyed growl.
“Relax,” I said, ruffling his wiry fur. “It’s only 24 hours. We’ll figure this out. In the meantime…” I glanced around the apartment, taking in the cluttered mess of dishes, laundry, and takeout boxes. “Looks like I’ve got some time to kill. Maybe I’ll clean up a little. You know, since I’ve got thumbs now.”
Then, I felt a stirring in my groin and thought to myself, "or maybe there's a better use for these hands in the meantime."

Help! I'm a Woman & I got my two Male Boyfriends Pregnant
Summary: You got your boyfriends Gojo Satoru & Ryomen Sukuna Preganat; now they are spirling, thinking you are going to leave them. Send jesus!
Based on this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The day started normal enough. Coffee brewed. Cursed spirits got obliterated. You avoided Gojo's pranks and Nanami’s disapproving stares. But nothing could’ve prepared you for this.
Absolutely nothing.
"EXPLAIN," Sukuna growled, pacing back and forth like a caged tiger, his crimson eyes flaring with murderous intensity. "HOW THIS HAPPENED."
Beside him, Gojo sat slumped on the couch, his head in his hands. For once, his usual smirk was nowhere to be seen. “She broke me,” he muttered, his voice muffled and full of existential despair.
You blinked, your hands raised defensively as you tried to process the sheer absurdity of what was happening. “Okay, let’s—let’s all calm down and start from the beginning. What exactly—”
“WE’RE PREGNANT!” Sukuna bellowed, his voice rattling the windows.
Your brain short-circuited. “What?”
“Both of us,” Gojo mumbled, finally lifting his head to glare at you with his piercing blue eyes. “We’re both pregnant. With your cursed energy, apparently.”
You stared at them, your jaw hanging open as your brain desperately tried to make sense of the words coming out of their mouths.
“Wait,” you said slowly, pointing at each of them. “You’re pregnant. And you’re pregnant. And… I’m the father?”
“Yes!” they both shouted in unison.
Gojo flopped back against the couch, throwing an arm over his face dramatically. “I can’t believe this. I’ve never been abandoned before. This is new for me.”
“Abandoned?” you snapped, your bewilderment turning to irritation. “I’m literally right here! No one’s abandoning anyone!”
Sukuna’s glare could’ve melted steel. “You better not be abandoning us. Do you have any idea what this is like? I’m a goddamn king, and now I’m carrying twins! Twins!”
You blinked again. “Twins?”
“Yeah, apparently cursed pregnancies are extra efficient,” Gojo muttered, rubbing his temples. “I’ve got triplets. Freaking triplets.”
Your knees nearly gave out. “Oh my god.”
“Oh your god, indeed,” Sukuna snarled, his pacing becoming more frantic. “Do you have any idea how much I’ve puked today? I’m the King of Curses, not the King of Ginger Ale!”
Gojo groaned dramatically, throwing himself across the couch. “And my ankles are swollen! I didn’t even know I had ankles that could swell!”
You stood there, frozen, as the two most powerful men you knew devolved into chaos before your eyes. Sukuna ranted about hormonal imbalances and cravings for spicy tuna rolls at three in the morning, while Gojo moaned about needing custom maternity uniforms for missions.
“Okay, okay!” you finally shouted, throwing up your hands. “Let’s take a step back and breathe for a second!”
Sukuna whirled on you, his crimson eyes blazing. “You breathe! I can’t breathe because your cursed energy apparently rewired my insides to incubate life!”
“That’s not even scientifically possible!” you argued, gesturing wildly.
Gojo raised a hand from the couch, his voice weak. “Apparently, science has no place in cursed pregnancies.”
“Obviously!” Sukuna snapped.
You groaned, running a hand through your hair. “Okay, look. I don’t know how this happened, but I’m not going anywhere. We’ll figure this out together, okay?”
Gojo perked up slightly, peeking at you from under his arm. “So, you’re saying you’re going to stick around? You’re not gonna leave us to fend for ourselves?”
“Of course not!” you said, exasperated. “Why would I abandon you?”
Sukuna snorted, crossing his arms over his chest. “Because that’s what all the terrible stories say. The cursed sorcerer fathers always leave. And yet, here I am, trying to keep it together while I grow two heads and three hearts inside me!”
“What?!” you shrieked.
“Apparently, cursed pregnancies come with… add-ons,” Gojo said, waving his hand vaguely. “It’s fine. We’ll manage. Just… don’t tell anyone.”
“Don’t tell anyone?!” you repeated, your voice climbing several octaves. “How am I supposed to explain why Sukuna is eating pickles and peanut butter out of the jar at 2 a.m.?”
“I’m literally creating life, you peasant!” Sukuna growled.
“And what about you?” you snapped at Gojo. “You’ve been crying for two hours! What even is that?”
Gojo sniffled, his bottom lip trembling. “I just feel so much right now, okay?”
You stared at them, completely overwhelmed, as the reality of the situation sank in. Two of the most powerful sorcerers in existence were pregnant. With your cursed energy. And somehow, it was your job to keep them alive and sane.
“Fine,” you said, throwing your hands up. “I’ll get the pickles and the peanut butter. And maybe a sedative for myself while I’m at it.”
“Don’t forget the chocolate!” Gojo called after you as you stormed out of the room.
“And ginger tea!” Sukuna shouted. “Or so help me, I’ll kill you!”
You groaned, your footsteps echoing down the hall. This was your life now.
A/N: Want more? I can give you more if you ask nicely (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)👌 I will mark this series completed for now until I get any more inspo or ideas (feel free to send yours too). Please comment; it fuels my cheos ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ Who would you like to get pregnant next?

If I Should Stay
Holy shit, y’all are insane. My tag list is over a HUNDRED (wtf y’all I’m kissing every single one of you on the forehead it was EIGHT before this) and the first part got over 800 notes in 24 hours. I love y’all 😂 With that being said though, Tumblr only allows for 50 mentions per post. So I’m drafting another post with the other 50-odd mentions that I’ll link this to. Unfortunately I’m not willing to make more than two posts, meaning my tag list is officially CLOSED. I’m so sorry, y’all, please know I love every single one of you SO much!! If you’d like to follow along and didn’t make it onto the taglist, go ahead and follow the ‘#if I should stay’ tag. I’ll make sure to use this tag for every update! Thank you all SO SO MUCH!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and if you want to be dropped from the taglist, that’s fine too; just let me know! ❤️
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
Steve is terrified.
Honestly, after the Russians and the Upside Down and everything else, Steve thought he’d never be scared again.
Then he woke up in school in 1984.
He looks around, wide-eyed, only to stop when Tommy and Carol look at him weirdly. “Uh, Steve?” Carol asks. “You look like you’re about to puke.”
Full of tact, just like always. He shakes off the feeling of wrong crawling on his skin and smiles at her. “I’m fine,” he says, when nothing could be further from the truth.
She opens her mouth to respond. Steve breathes a sigh of relief when the bell goes off, only for him to realize he has no idea where he’s going.
Thank God for Carol, apparently, because she throws her head back with a groan. “Math,” she complains. “I hate math.”
Steve feels a zing of recognition dart through him. He had English while she was in math. They used to complain about it between classes.
He feels excited when he realizes Robin will be in this class, then just as suddenly excitement turns to nausea when he realizes she might not remember him.
He walks into class, trying to keep his hopes down, and briefly makes eye contact with her.
She’s doodling in a notebook, looking around the room. Their eyes meet.
Robin’s pencil lead snaps.
Steve freezes.
He opens his mouth, he’s not sure for what, but she shakes her head slightly.
She stands and makes her way towards him before her eyes flutter back in her head and she drops.
She would’ve fallen on the ground if he hadn’t caught her. Whispers start up, enough to get the teacher to look up. “Mr. Harrington,” she says. “I’m not sure what dance moves you think you’re trying, but I will remind you this is an English classroom.”
“Yes ma’am,” he says. “Um. She passed out. I think I should probably take her to the nurse.”
She leans over her desk to peer first at Steve, then at Robin, who still has her eyes closed. “Very well,” she says. “I’ll give you a hall pass. Please ensure she returns once her little spell has worn off.”
He nods, shifts Robin completely into his arms, and walks out of the classroom.
He walks down the hallway and stops by an empty classroom, darting in when nobody’s looking. “Robs,” he chokes, and her arms are around his neck and now he’s choking for an entirely different reason.
She’s shaking, and he feels hot tears land on his shoulder, and he knows she feels the same from his tears. “I thought-”
“I know,” Steve whispers. “I thought the same. I woke up and I was with Tommy and Carol again and I didn’t know what was going on and I was terrified you weren’t gonna remember me.”
“Jesus,” she says. She’s laughing a little, through her tears. “Imagine how I felt, waking up in Mrs. Click’s class. Thought I’d had a weird fever dream. Then you walked in, and…”
“Yeah,” he agrees. “Jesus, Robs, I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“Right back atcha, Dingus,” she whispers, which really just makes his tears start all over again. “Who else do you think knows?”
Steve sighs. “I don’t know. And other than asking them, and risking getting sent to a padded room…”
“Yeah.” Robin sighs.
“Oh, fuck,” Steve says, tensing up.
“What?”
“I’m pretty sure I’m still with Nancy.”
I tried to tag everyone who wanted it… I’m so sorry if I missed you! Once again I’m so sorry about closing the taglist. Thank you for understanding! ❤️

nsfw/smut under the cut
。・:*˚:✧。
fuck.
he grits his teeth, seeing mae leaves him hanging- literally hanging. he should have foreseen this sooner, she was weak as his pupil. no loyalty whatsoever, his teachings all thrown to waste. and now he has to clean this whole mess up before she could head to osha and the others. the betrayal angers him, how dare she do this to him. when he had graciously accepted and taught her his ways.
he sighs, looking around, trying to find his satchel. knowing he left it somewhere near the body of water in the forest. he closes his eyes, hand reaching out to get his saber through the force. he’s about to pull through but a scrunch in the bushes stops him. his eyes widened, thinking a fucking animal has added to his current misery.
“oh, look what we have here.” nope, it was not an ordinary animal- it’s a predator. it seems his day has gotten worse as you appear by the flora, with an amused grin on your face. you’re dressed in your signature black robes, he guessed you might have followed through, remembering he had given you an order the other night before they left olega. that you were to follow mae’s every step from now on, and he’s actually proud you did.
“i need a little assistance here, please?” he speaks up, the ache on his arms and legs getting worse from hanging upside down.
“i’m guessing this is mae’s doing.” you hum, circling around him slowly. he closes his eyes, holding himself back from snapping. “well, it was bound to happen when her sister appeared. the master’s going to kill her.”
oh, he will.
“help me!” he whines, ashamed he fucking whined. of course, you don’t know yet that he’s your master, of course you’ll be torturing him until now.
“you’re so cute when you whine, qimyyyy.” you grinned devilishly, that nickname making his head hurt. “alright, what do i get in return, though?”
oh, his brain is literally going to explode any second now. “what do you want?” he groans, flaying his arms around as you stop in-front of him. resting your weight on one foot, and your hand resting on the curve of your hip. he momentarily glances at that, liking the way the leather leggings hug your curves- he stops himself from raking his eyes further, focusing on your thinking face, he’s a little bit dizzy now seeing you upside down.
“hmmm…” you think, finger tapping your chin. “how about another kiss?” you say with a sultry tone. he stutters for a moment, acting like he’s not wishing for it again. but he has no other choice but to be pathetic and agree, otherwise, what other things do you want in-return than a kiss? his blood rushes to his cheeks as he sighs, rubbing his face.
“alright!” the other rush of blood goes to his crotch when he stares at your lips, remembering that cheeky kiss you gave him that had him milking himself that night. “just get me down!”
“okay!” you laugh. “stay still.”
he expects you to use your lightsaber but what you do first is tiptoe up to examine the rope holding his feet, making you press your chest on his face. his eyes widened and his protests are muffled by your breasts. he can feel himself getting hard, loving each second of torture to be suffocated by your clothed breasts.
“this is not necessary!” he shouts, turning his head to the side as you still press your chest against his face. he moves his face around, trying to avoid your soft chest, but it made it seem like he’s… you know…
“if you want me to slice your feet off, stay still and quiet.” you tut, chuckling as you finally detach yourself from him, done assessing where you would cut. even though you could’ve cut anywhere higher from his feet. fuck, you still had to tease him when he’s almost gonna puke from being suspended in the air for too long.
you wink at him and he glares at you. you take your saber out of your belt, turning it on as the red light blinds him for a moment. you swiftly threw it to where the rope is, and he falls to the ground with a loud thud. your saber comes back to your hand in an instant. you giggled, crouching down beside him as you switch off your saber. he groans, face planted against the dirt. he slowly lifts himself up, that fall hurting his chest and forehead.
“you need a bath, qimir.” you suddenly said, brushing the leaves and twigs out on his hair. he rolled his eyes, and you still had to smile at him. that fucking smile he wishes he’ll turn into tears if he fucks you rough enough to get you to drop your torturous acts of teasing him.
“no shit.” he mumbles, letting his act drop for a moment. he looks up to you and you just smiled, not asking for the kiss he agreed to give you. “g-get it on with it.” he winces as he sits on the ground, ready for your lips to land on his. he’s looking like he doesn’t want to, but he so does want to.
“no.” you shrug, and he swears he might strangle you. “i’m reserving it for later when i get to mae. he’ll be pleased if i get to her first. and my reward will be you.” you stand up, looking at him like he’s your prey.
“just find mae.” he begs, more relieved that you’re now prioritizing to capture the ex-pupil for him. maybe he’ll reward you if you behaved like this more often.
“you stay right there, qimir!” you wave him a goodbye. he lets out a groan, still dizzy but a weight has been drop from his shoulders. he rolls his arms, now feeling through the force as his satchel comes flying to his hand. you’re so eager to please him, not knowing you’re literally torturing him. he grins to himself, thinking of a way to get back to you.
he’ll get to mae first.
・゜゜・.
in unfortunate circumstances, he had let his former pupil go. he was close to killing her, but alas, that jedi master had to intervene, along with her twin sister. they all had escaped from his clutches, now he has to formulate another plan if they ever come for him again. he tosses his hair back, the dirt and his sweat sticking onto his skin. he looks around for a moment in the quiet forest filled with the jedis he killed, the sun is almost up, he has to flee the planet now.
and you?
you are laid in-front of him, still unconscious after osha fired her stun blaster onto you when you were distracted in fighting her twin. he looks down to your peaceful figure, but you did well in defending him. you had no time to say anything when his helmet broke, only choosing to focus on eliminating the opponents. he thinks for a moment if he should wake you up, what would you react knowing the two of you are alone now?
your face suddenly stirred, consciousness finally coming back to you. you groaned awake, eyes fluttering open, your head and back hurts. you are momentarily confused where you are, but as you regained your vision, you feel his piercing gaze towards you as you now look up.
“shit.” you merely say, quickly sitting up. qimir’s lips tug to a smirk as he crouches down to your level. you try to think of something to say, but you avoid his eyes, feeling a little ashamed now.
“surprised?” he asks, tilting his head to the side, curious.
“uhm…” you don’t know what to say. his chest heaves, all his patience is snapping how you’re not saying anything. he grips your jaw roughly, forcing you to look at him. your eyes widened, a look of fear crosses your face. “m-master!”
“you know, i don’t appreciate getting teased like that.” he stares down at your lips and your glossy eyes. “you’re a brat, you know?”
you fluttered your lashes. “i try. you gonna kiss me?” you had the audacity to be a tease now. his eyes darkened, all logic in his brain snaps. he pulls you forward, you’re about to protest but his lips captures yours harshly. you make a sound, but it’s muffled by his lips. he expects you to kiss back, but you stay frozen but evident you want to kiss him the way your arms grip his broad shoulders. he doesn’t fucking care if this all wrong, that he’s your master and you are his pupil, you started all of this.
“open your mouth.” he says between his kisses. you wanted your reward a kiss right? you let out a whine as you hesitantly obeyed him. “come on, open your fucking mouth.”
you obey him, you’re now pulling him towards you as his tongue delves in to clash with yours. you let out a moan, teeth are clashing, tongues are circling around each other, how messy and hot your kisses are. as if you both were trying to quench the thirst for each other. he circles his arms to wrap around your waist, he sits back, pulling you to sit on his lap. you followed, sitting directly on his crotch as that made him groan.
your hands went up to his hair, tangling your fingers in his messy black locks as his hands groped your ass. your thoughts are everywhere, still ashamed you had teased the fuck out of your master. you were not blame really, with how cute he acted, he’s the cause of all of your sweet torture on him. you start to grind against him, your core rubbing against his hard-on. you smirk, how affected he is with you.
you break the kiss, lips wet and swelling, a string of saliva connects to his own glossy lips as he stared at you. you’re desperate now, gliding your hands down from his hair to his chest, rubbing his muscles.
“how many times did you said you wanna ride me, huh?” he asks now, gripping your ass. you let out a whine, giggling as you shrug.
“many times.” you answered, not even ashamed now. a loud smack suddenly makes you yelp, he slapped your ass hard as he chuckled, massaging your stinging asscheek.
“then that’s how many times you’re gonna do it now, sweetheart.” he darkly says, voice husky. you smiled, nodding as things escalated quickly. your top is thrown somewhere, his upper part of his black robe is removed, and he’s fiddling with your leather bottoms to get it off you while he sucks your nipple. you cradle the nape of his neck, arching your back for him to easily play with your breasts. you lift your hips up for him to remove it easily, you quickly detach yourself from him for a moment removing your leggings as he pushed his bottoms downwards to spring his cock out.
he lets out a shameful groan, gripping himself as his tip was flushed red, precum oozing out. you bit your lip, mesmerized by the sight of his cock. you crawled back to him, wanting to suck him off.
“another time.” he stops you before you could suck his tip. you frown but obeyed him. he guides you to hover above him, kissing your neck, littering it with love bites. he has been thinking about this a lot, jerking himself in those lonely nights in the shop from your crude words that you wanted to do many things with him. he glances to your cunt, his cock twitching at the sight of how wet you are.
“you’re so big.” you whined, gripping him as you guide it to your entrance. he lets out a groan, his tip rubbing against your soft entrance. everything feels warm, the coldness of the morning is shielded by both of your body heats. he stares down, seeing as you finally let him in, slowly taking him inside of you.
“t-that feels so good.” he can’t help but say, rolling his eyes back at the wave of pleasure when your walls wrap around him snugly. you let out a cry, feeling full as you slowly pushed your hips down to really let him in. he’s so big that you wonder if you’ll be split in half when you start bouncing him.
“qimir…master.” you moan his name out. he swears he almost busted himself when you called him master. finally taking him all in as you sit on his abdomen. fuck, he feels like he’s about to cum how deep he’s in your cunt. you shuddered, feeling every inch of his cock fill inside you. there’s a relaxing silence as only both of your labored breaths are heard. his chest rises, hands settling on your hips, ready to guide you to start moving.
“that’s it, good girl. grind for me.” he praises as you started to grind back and forth. the friction of pleasure hitting you both hard. you place your hands on his muscled chest, rubbing back and forth to his abs. you close your eyes, back arching as he sucks your nipples again. you finally start to bounce on him, his hands guiding you. “come on, fuck me.”
“i am!” you groan out, bouncing more harshly now. he moans your name out, hands caressing down to your ass. he slaps the soft flesh again, making you whine. your breasts are jiggling in-front of his from your erratic movements. he watches in awe, how beautiful you are bouncing on his cock. you suddenly kiss him, hot and messy, he kisses back the same.
he loves this, he loves the feel of warm cunt wrapped around him, and your sweaty skin sticking to his. both of you are so lost in the pleasure of one another, not caring if anyone would see the two of you in the forest. he feels your walls clench tight around him. he feels himself near his high, the familiar knot in his stomach forming.
“i’m close.” you whisper dumbly against his lips. he nods, pressing his forehead against yours as your eyes fluttered open to stare at his orbs. the look of your face as him moaning, how dumb you look when you’re finally bouncing on his cock just like you had teased at him days ago. he sees your brows furrow, bouncing more wildly now, signaling you’re about to come. he helps you near your high as his other hand goes down to rub your swollen clit.
“m-maker-!” you let out a gurgled sound as he roughly kisses you again. your whole body stuttered, clenching his cock tight as he roughly thrusts his hips up as your orgasm hits you hard. the sound of harsh skin slapping fills your ears as you let him fuck him you, and he was nearing his end. he lets out a sound of pleasure, gripping your hips down as the tip of his cock hits your cervix as he fills you up with his cum.
“f-fuck.” he stutters, holding you down as you hug his neck, feeling dizzy at the intensity of your orgasm. you nuzzle your face in his neck, kissing his soft skin, inhaling his earthy scent as you let out a sigh. he drops his tight grip on your ass, caressing your marked skin. both of your hearts are beating loudly, chests are heaving.
“good girl.” he kisses the side of your face, hands caressing your back now. you hum in response, too fucked-out to say something as you just had the best orgasm you had in your life. his cock is still snug inside you, both of your spends mixing as it oozes out of you and coats his prick. you slowly sit up now, placing your hands on his shoulders to steady yourself as you peck his lips. he blinks softly, a smile tugging his lips. he taps your thigh suddenly, motioning you to ready yourself. you two were not done yet. he’s gonna fuck the shit out of you from all the torture you had done to him until you beg him to stop. you know this as you rolled your eyes at him as he suddenly starts to thrusts his hips up, the overstimulation making you yelp.
“come on. we’re not done yet, brat.”

BABY DADDY | MATTHEW GRAY GUBLER
Tumblr media
A one night stand leads to much, much more than either of you bargained for.
Word Count: 8.3k
Warning/Includes: BabyDaddy!Matthew, duh!!! Smut Lite™️.
So, the thing about babies is that they don’t really give a fuck about context. They truly couldn’t care less about what you’re doing, what’s happening in your life, your goals, your dreams, your ambitions. It’s all irrelevant. They will show up anyway. And what the little clump of cells in your uterus has failed to realize is that you do not know their father. At all.
Seriously.
You know him biblically. Obviously. You’ve shared drinks and a bed. You’ve seen him naked. He’s seen you naked. You’ve spent, maybe, an hour and a half together total. And you spent the majority of that time making the conscious decision to leave together, undress and fuck. You’re pretty sure the last thing you said to him was, “Safe travels.” As in, I don’t want to see you again. As in, If all goes well, I should never have to see you again.
You used a condom. You’re not dumb, you used a condom. So when weeks passed by and your period was late, you didn’t think anything of it. It happens. Sometimes periods are just late.
But it never came.
You bought the pregnancy test just to be safe. In fact, you were so sure that you were playing it safe that you didn’t take it for another three days. Pushing it back and back, hoping your period would come.
It didn’t.
So you squatted over the toilet and got a good amount of pee on the thing and waited two minutes just for it to stare you directly in the eye and say: FUCK YOU, DUMB BITCH. YOU’RE PREGNANT.
Okay, it just said pregnant. But that’s what went through your head. Your knees buckled and you grabbed your stomach, almost like you could feel the thing just hanging out in there. You doubled over, thinking you were going to puke, but you didn’t. You eye the test again and then, out of pure nerves, you puke.
You buy two more tests. They call you a dumb bitch again, just a little louder. You want a bottle of wine but you don’t have one because you’re pregnant. You want a lighter and a goddamn cigarette but you don’t have one because you don’t even smoke and you’re pregnant.
You sit down for lunch with your friend and it’s the first time you say these words out loud.
She yells, “You’re what?”
Pregnant!
You give her this look that says please don’t make me say it again and she doesn’t. She heard you very well the first time.
“W-wh-what…” she trembles. Shaking, like she’s the one knocked up. “What? H-how…what? who’s the daddy?”
You sigh, cut your eyes up at her, and her jaw drops, stuttering, “O-oh…no…no…[y/n]…no.”
“It’s gotta be him. He’s the last guy I had sex with. I had gotten my period before then. Now, no period, three positive pregnancy tests.”
“Three?” she shouts. “Oh, so you’re pregnant pregnant?”
“Yeah, I took three just to be sure and they all told me to go kill myself. So.”
“Oh my god…” she shudders. “Oh my god? Oh my…” and she chugs her glass of wine in one big gulp. It looks good.
“What are you going to do?” she asks you.
You shrug, your mind made up, “I’m keeping it.”
“What?”
“Okay, you need to quiet down now before we get kicked out of here.”
“What do you mean keeping it? As in, giving birth? As in, raising a child?”
“Yeah, exactly that.”
“O…kay…and the baby daddy?”
You shrug, “What about him?”
“I-“ she slams her hands down. “[y/n].”
“What?”
“You’re not gonna tell him?”
“Why would I? I have a house and a job and insurance and a 401K, I can take care of my kid.”
“Well, yeah…but it’s…his kid, too? Why-why are you keeping it if you’re not gonna tell him?”
“Because I want a baby. I don’t know. I-I thought about…getting it sucked out of there, but I don’t wanna. I want a baby. I want a kid. And yeah, this…isn’t the conventional way of doing that, but I never much saw myself with a husband anyway.”
“So…what’s the plan? Matthew’s just walking down the street one day and a little carbon copy of him comes out of the shadows saying ooh, aah, look at me! I’m the love child you unintentionally abandoned 10 years ago! That’s fucked.”
“What if he doesn’t care? What if he wants to abandon the kid? What if we’re on the same page?”
“Then at least give him the option.”
“Ugh.”
“[y/n], just give him the option. What? You can gargle his cock in your mouth but you can’t have a conversation? You need to tell him.”
“Okay…” you roll your eyes.
“And whatever the outcome, he stills owes you money. He stills owes some type of financial support, whether you want it or not.”
“I don’t want it.”
“Whatever. Look, I work with him when he’s in town, okay? I see him, I have to interact with him, I can’t hold on to this and I can’t be the one to tell him. [y/n]…please…”
“Okay!”
“Okay?”
You huff, “Okay. Fine.”
“Okay. You have his number?”
“No.”
“Classy,” she quips as she scrolls through her phone and you roll your eyes, “Okay, I’m airdropping it to you now.”
His contact comes through to your phone and you only stare at it long enough to accept and then you plant the device face down on the table. You suck back an anxious gulp of water and fidget with your hands, “This is your fault, you know?”
“What? How?”
“You’re the one that introduced us. At that launch party or whatever. What was that even about?”
“It was the launch party for a new production company and fuck you, you whore. I didn’t force you to go and get yourself knocked up. That was all you, Matthew and those free shots.”
“Oh, please, you practically threw us together.”
“Yeah, well, sue me, I thought you guys would hit it off,” she shrugs. “Not quite this much, but…”
The two of you sit in silence, looking around the restaurant, picking at your food.
“So,” she pips.
Your eyes flicker up at her.
“How was it?” she smirks. “Worth a baby?”
You let a long sigh, shaking your head with a very violent roll of your eyes, “Honestly…yeah…”
So far, pregnancy doesn’t suck. You’re still early, still not showing. There’s been no nausea or bloating. The insomnia, however, is getting ridiculous. You’re normally the type of girl to crash in bed as soon as possible, knocked out the moment your head hits the pillow. It is now midnight and your eyes are wide open, unable to relax. You check everything possible off of your to-do list, even scheduling your first obstetrician appointment. The only thing you haven’t done is call Matthew, having had his number sitting in your phone for close to a week now. To make it worse, all you want is a cinnamon roll. But not just any cinnamon roll. One from the late night bakery down the street. This is especially dangerous because you know very well that they are still open and somewhere out there is a cinnamon roll with your name on it. It would be nuts to leave the warmth of your bed right now, walk a mile in the dead of night, just for a cinnamon roll.
But you’re going to.
You bundle up and head out into the summer night, looking completely insane. Hoodie, sweats, tattered sneakers built for walking down the New York City sidewalks. It’s not far and you walk fast, faster than normal tonight because the craving is just that strong. You make it in all of ten minutes and within five more, you have the box cracked open and are tearing a piece off with your bare hands.
You look up for merely a second and your eyes catch him immediately. Now, you’re tired. Your blood sugar’s just shot up but you’re pretty sure it’s him. Posing for a picture with a fan. Tall. Beautiful. Smiling. His eyes land on you and he excuses himself, throws up a wave. You jump, looking around, contemplating running. But, yeah. That wouldn’t be suspicious at all. By the time you stop fidgeting, he’s standing over you and you’re trapped.
“Hi!” he greets you. “Hi, [y/n], how are you?”
You wipe frosting from your mouth and chuckle, more caught off guard by his remembering your name than anything. You cough, “Hi. Matthew, hi. I’m good. I’m doing good. How are you?”
“Good! Just heading home.”
“Oh! Oh, you have a place in New York?”
“Yeah, near the park, just a few blocks over. You live around here?”
“Uh…” you did not know this so you’re forcing your brain to catch up. “Uh, yeah, yeah. About a block over, just… couldn’t sleep. Wanted a cinnamon roll.”
“Looks good,” he giggles. “You look good.”
“Oh, you’re full of shit,” you smile.
“No! No, I mean it. You look great. I love the cinnamon roll run outfit. Honestly.”
You blush, you don’t mean to, but you blush. “Well, thank you. You look good, too.” He does. You can tell he’s just leaving somewhere because he’s dressed up and you suddenly remember very vividly how you ended up pregnant.
“Aw, thank you. I appreciate that…” his eyes scan over you. “Where did you say you live? Can I walk you home? It’s late.”
You want to shout No! Thank you! and run. It wouldn’t be hard to do. Why not? Still, you say, “Yes. Yeah, I’d like that.”
And so the two of you stroll down the empty sidewalks together, he does most of the talking. You can hear it in his voice that he’s flirting. You’ve heard it before. It has been successful, with you, before. Yet, you’re too busy this time around trying not to puke. He walks you to your door and you notice your cinnamon roll has gone cold in your hand.
“This is me,” you tell him. “Thank you.”
“Of course,” he smiles. “We should get together again, if you’re up for it.”
You nod, “Mhm. Yeah. That sounds nice. Um, I’ll give you my number.” He instantly pulls his phone from his pocket and hands it over. He’s serious. You type your name and number in and hand it back, chewing on your bottom lip.
“Perfect,” his fingers linger on yours as he takes his phone back. “I’ll call you. Hey, could I use your bathroom? I pee fast so I won’t inconvenience you too long.”
No!
You snicker, “Yeah…” you start to unlock the door. “Of course. Sorry in advance, it’s a little messy.”
“Oh, a little mess doesn’t scare me,” he laughs.
You let him in and point out the bathroom and as soon as he disappears, closes the door behind him, you release the breath that’s been trapped in your chest and plop down on the couch. “Fuck,” you mutter to yourself. “Fuck, fuck, fuck.”
The toilet flushes and then there’s a loud bang from the bathroom and you snap back to reality. “Matthew?” you call. “You alright in there?”
“Yeah, sorry,” he calls in response. “Just kicked over your trash can. Sorry!”
“That’s okay!” you reply. You relax.
It is definitely not okay.
You hop up and sprint to the bathroom door. You don’t even knock, you just burst into the bathroom where Matthew is picking up the spilled trash. Your eyes instantly land on the pregnancy tests and you can’t do anything but stand in wait.
When he notices them, he laughs. Not a cackle, but a soft giggle, almost silly, “You pregnant or something?” he asks. It’s a joke. He’s making a joke.
He looks at your face. It’s not a joke.
He stops laughing. He stops smiling. You’ve never seen someone’s entire being go so pale.
“Oh, you’re…” he stutters. “You’re…” he breathes. “Is it mine?”
You can hardly look him in the eye but you do and you nod.
“How long have you known?”
You gulp, “Like…a week. I haven’t been to the doctor or anything.”
“Are you…” you can see his chest heaving. “Are you serious?”
You nod, “Yes.”
He looks around the bathroom, wobbling on his heels and you worry he’s going to pass out. Instead, he slams the toilet seat down and sits on it, falls on it. “What…what are you going to do?”
“I’m…” you clear your throat. “Keeping it.”
“Oh.” he says. “You don’t...you’re not…”
“No. I don’t want that.”
And this is where his words became jumbled. Mumbled. Barely incoherent. He, himself, cannot even figure out what he’s trying to say.
“Look,” you interrupt him. “You don’t have to be involved, okay? You don’t even need to be on the birth certificate. I can handle this. I will handle this. If you wanna drop me a couple hundreds bucks every month and call it a day, that’s fine. If you don’t? Also fine. But I need to know because we’re…not…confusing this kid, okay? So, you need to be all in or all out.”
“Are you...” he cuts his eyes up at you and then promptly rises to his feet. “I can’t do this right now.”
You’re so dumbfounded as he rushes past you that your brain doesn’t even fully process it until he’s almost out the door. “Where are you going?”
“I have to clear my head. I-I have to get out of here.”
“Uh, okay...” he closes the door in your face. “Bye…”
And in the wake of all this exciting, suddenly surrounded by silence and cut tension, you remember your cinnamon roll. You want it after all.
When your friend asks if you’ve told Matthew, you say, “Yes.”
“Oh, shit. You called him?”
“No.” And you have to explain. You have to explain every awkward, uncomfortable, terrible second.
“And I haven’t heard from him since,” you shrug.
“Really?”
You nod.
She sighs, “Wow…fuck him.”
“Fuck him.”
And you meant that. You’re content with that. You feel like you can move on. Prepare, nest, move forward. Then he calls you. Out of nowhere. His name pops up on your phone and silences the music that had been playing while you took a bath. You stare at the screen for a long time, wondering if it’s best to protect your peace. It is. But still, you answer.
“Hello?”
“Hey, [y/n]?” he clears his throat. “It’s Matthew.”
“Matthew,” you sigh. “Hi.”
“Hey, um, when is your first doctor’s appointment? Has that passed already?”
“Um…” you furrow your eyebrows, genuinely confused. “No. It’s on the twenty-sixth. At Aster on the upper west side. Eleven o’clock.”
Silence.
Then, he says, “Okay…okay, I’ll be there.”
You shrug, “Okay.”
“Okay.”
You arrive at 10:45. You do not expect him to show up, like truly expect him to show up. So when he comes walking into the waiting room, your heart genuinely stops. You cross and uncross your legs, shuffling in your seat.
“Hi,” you whisper, with very minimal eye contact.
“Hi.”
The nurse calls your name and Matthew follows you into the examination room, taking a seat beside you. The technician asks you a series of questions about your last period, your symptoms, your health history and Matthew hears none of it.
“And are you dad?” she asks him.
He feels like he’s going to throw up. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, I guess.”
You roll your eyes and luckily, this kind woman cuts the tension pretty quickly. She slathers this cold gel on your belly and presses the wand to your skin and the heartbeat picks up immediately.
“Oh, wow, strong heartbeat already!” she grins at you. But you can’t take your eyes off the monitor. Matthew either. “You’re right around ten weeks so there’s the little head and you can see their arms and legs starting to form here.”
You can. You can really see it. There’s a baby in there. Barely. But a baby! You look at Matthew and his look of pure terror mirrors yours. It’s kind of comforting.
The nurse wipes you off and says, “So your estimated due date is March 10th, but again, that’s just an estimate so take it with a grain of salt because babies tend to follow their own schedule. You’re looking at anywhere from two to three days before or after.”
“Holy shit,” Matthew swears. “That’s the day after my birthday.”
“Is it really?” you tilt your head and at this, the nurse is dumbfounded. At this, Matthew is completely silenced.
You ask for two separate copies of the ultrasound and the technician has gotten over the shock. She’s not going to question it anymore, not going to give it any thought. Let you two sort it out.
As you stand outside afterwards, twiddling your thumbs, unsure of what to say or what to do, he asks, “Are you hungry? Can I take you to lunch?”
You cross your arms, wanting to say no. Wanting to lie. Instead you sigh, “Yes,” you nod. “Yes, please. I’m fucking starving.”
So he takes you to a cafe down the street where you order possibly the biggest burger even seen and fries and a cup of veggies and a piece of cake. It’s awkward, silent, and he just watches you eat. Almost like he can’t wrapped his head around it. You come up for air and catch his gaze.
“Hey,” you swallow. “Don’t look at me crazy. You’ve never had something in your body competing for resources.”
He chuckles, “No judgement. Eat what you want.”
“That was my plan.”
He picks at his food for a few moments and then sighs, “So…how…how are we gonna do this?”
You would ask for more context but you don’t need it. You know exactly what he means. You shrug, “I don’t know…” you shrug again. “I don’t know, just…do the best we can, I guess?”
He nods, “Yeah. Yeah, that always seems to work for everyone else.”
September | 14 Weeks
The deal is that Matthew will come in every four weeks for your appointments. This is what he agrees to, but you’re not convinced it will happen. But your next appointment rolls around and you’re shocked to walk in and find he’s beat you there. This time, he sees you and he smiles. His eyes scan over your figure as you take a seat, he goes, “Oh, you’re…you’re kinda starting to…”
You glance down at your tiny baby bump and you have this weird urge all the time to touch it so you do. “Oh. Yeah. I finally had to start telling people at work. They made me a registry.”
“Oh, that’s nice. What…what do you need me to get? What does a baby need?”
“God, dude, too much shit, I swear. Plus, I don’t even know what I want to dress her in. There’s like a million different brands and they all look the same or are made from spider silk or something stupid. I don’t know.”
He tilts his head at you, “Her? You think it’s a girl?”
You shrug, “I don’t know. I don’t think we can find out just yet anyway but, maybe?”
This little grin appears on his face and he almost reaches in to your bump, but he doesn’t. He shuffles in his seat, clears his throat, “A girl would be nice.”
You smile, “I think so, too.”
You both get your updated ultrasounds to go and the technician is greatful to not feel so suffocated this time. The energy around the two of you has shifted. Not much. You’re still strangers and it shows. But it’s different. You smile, you joke around, Matthew speaks up, asks questions.
It’s different.
At the end of the appointment, he asks you, “Hey, are you busy tonight?”
“Oh…” you’re caught off guard. “No. Why?”
“I was wondering if you might want to come over? For dinner maybe?”
“Oh.”
“Nothing…weird. I just…want you to know where I live and…I don’t know, I thought we could just talk.”
“Um. Okay. Okay. Send me your address.”
“Okay. I will.”
And so because you reluctantly agreed, you show up at his doorstep at six o’clock sharp. You’re not dressed up or anything, but it’s starting to get cold and you just threw on this big puffy jacket.
He opens the door and greets you with a bright smile, saying, “Hey, you. Come in.”
“Thanks,” you meekly walk in and instantly look around his place and oh, it’s fucking gorgeous. Comforting. Because you can’t have a baby with someone who lacks interior design skills.
“Are you still craving chinese? I got us a fuck ton.”
“Oh, my god,” you sigh in relief, smelling the food, instantly plopping down at the kitchen table. “Oh, my god, yes, thank you.”
“Of course,” he smiles.
You look around and notice the ultrasounds on his fridge, staring at them as he sets up a plate for you.
He takes a seat beside you and takes a bite of his food, then asking, “So, where are you from?”
It catches you off guard so you laugh, “What?”
“Where are you from? What’s your family like? Where’d you go to school?”
“Um, okay…what…you interrogating me?”
He laughs, “No. No, sorry. I just…uh, I wanna get to know you better, that’s all. You can ask me anything you wanna know, too.”
“Hm,” you nod. “Okay.” And you spill your guts.
You wrap your life up in a nutshell and it becomes this rapid game of back and forth about whose parents did this and how many siblings do you have and who was your first crush. Who’s your best friend. Who’s the last person you dated. Tell me about all the people you’ve dated!
Your baby daddy is kind of a slut, but, honestly, who are you to judge?
He’s funny. As far as you can tell, he’s honest. He doesn’t have or want to hide anything from you. What’s the point?
“So, um,” he says. “Why don’t I make you a drink and give you a little tour? Oh, wait, you…”
“Can’t drink,” you nod. “Yeah. Thanks for reminding me.”
“Sorry,” he laughs. “I have sparkling cider.”
“Bleh.”
“Sparkling water?”
“Bleh.”
“I…orange juice?” he laughs but you’re dead serious.
“That sounds so fucking good right now.”
“Yeah?” he chuckles. “Okay, you got it.”
And so, with your cup of orange juice, you follow him around his home. You see his bedroom, his office, and in the corner of the house, an empty room where he proclaims, “This will be the little guy’s room. I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with it yet, but definitely something.”
It’s beautiful. Lots of natural light but he says he’s already started looking at blackout curtains. “And then in my room,” he adds as you walk by. “I’ll have one of those little beside bassinet things, y’know? Just until he gets a little bigger.”
You look up at him with this sober look. You stumble around until you find somewhere to put your glass down and he asks, “You alright?”
You turn back to him and almost immediately jump into his arms, mouth open, a whole growing human between the of you, but still you are close. But still, you are kissing.
“Woah…” he huffs. “W-what…what are you…”
“Sorry,” you breathe out. “It’s nothing personal. I’ve just got a lot of blood rushing to a lot of different places and w-what?” you stutter because he’s caressing your face. “Y’know, it’s not like you can get me pregnant. It’s more like a…a favor?”
His eyes scan over your face and he nods, scoops you up in his arms like it’s nothing. “Yeah, okay, that makes sense,” and he carries you into his bedroom.
October | 18 Weeks
The greeting this week is different. In the past few weeks, there’s been a lot more casual texting. A lot of Matthew asking: Hey, how are you feeling today? Do you need anything? Do you have groceries? You appreciate it.
He walks into the waiting room a few minutes after you and you actually stand to say hi.
“Hi, you!” he pips and he gives you a big hug. This time, he is not so shy and he takes a hold of your bump in both his hands, leaning down to say, “Hi, you! What are you doing in there? Woah!”
“Ah,” you groan. “Yeah, kicking the shit out of me. lately. Don’t get her riled up.”
But he pokes at your belly again and those legs come back swinging. He laughs, “Oh, my god, that’s so cool!”
“Yeah, not so much when it’s the middle of the night and it’s directly on your bladder.”
“Oof. Sorry, I should be stern,” he leans down. “Knock it off, kid.” And the kid kicks back.
“Oh! Jesus. Okay, that was…bad. Keep practicing.”
He cackles, “I will.”
In the exam room, the technician asks, “Do you wanna know the gender?” The smile on her face tells you that she already knows.
And as you shout an enthusiastic, “Yes!” Matthew is shaking his head, saying, “No.”
And then there’s silence.
“What…” you chuckle. “What do you mean no?”
“I don’t know,” he shrugs. “I kinda just wanna be surprised.”
“Hm…” you furrow your eyebrows. You turn to the technician, “Well, I wanna know, will you put it in an envelope for me?”
This envelope is hand delivered to you at the end of your appointment and you hold it tight in your hands all the way out the door. You tear into it as soon as you step outside and Matthew shouts, “Wait!”
“What?”
“I don’t wanna know! Open it when you’re alone.”
“Okay…” you shrug, putting the envelope in your purse.
The two of you stand there, silent, avoiding eye contact.
“Fine, open it,” he says.
“What?” you laugh. “I thought you didn’t wanna know?”
“I don’t! I don’t. But-but you should know. Open it.”
You roll your eyes at him and take the envelope out of your bag, breaking the seal, flipping it open and showing absolutely no emotion. You rise and fall from the tip of your toes, biting down on your lip.
“Oh, c’mon!” he groans. “What is it? What is it? What is it? Just tell me.”
“You sure?”
“Yes.”
“You positive?”
“[y/n]…” he whines.
You chuckle and turn the paper around to face him and his entire expression goes blank.
“A boy?” he whispers. Followed by, “Oh, my god, a boy!” Then, “A boy?” Finally, “A boy…”
You giggle and nod, “A boy.”
Halloween falls on a work day, after which you immediately come home to take a nap. You awake to find missed calls and texts from Matthew, the last of which reads: I’m coming over. You see this just before he rings your doorbell.
You answer and flinch, caught off guard by his costume. His makeup, the whole thing. “Oh…” you say. “You did say you were weird about Halloween.”
“Um, I don’t know if weird is the word I used but…here! For you,” he hands you a bag full of candy and you laugh, taking it from him.
“Thank you.”
“And…also, for you,” and he hands you a pumpkin.
“Oh! Thanks?”
“It’s the exact same weight as the baby. Weighed it myself.”
And your heart just kind of melts. “Aw…that’s so cute…” you hold the thing in your hands and look down at it. “Wow, what? No fucking way that’s in there.” you say in disbelief, holding the pumpkin level with your belly.
The two of you burst into laughter and Matthew sighs, happily exclaming, “Yeah, that’s him.”
November | 22 Weeks
Before your next appointment, Matthew calls you to ask if you’ll spend Thanksgiving with him in Vegas.
“Y’know, I told my family and-and they were…y’know shocked. But, they wanna meet you. I’m sure you already have plans but if you don’t…I’d really love it if you came with me.”
You sit in silence for a second. “I…I don’t have plans. I’ll go.”
“Really?”
“Oh, did you…want me to say no?”
“No,” he laughs. “No. I just thought you would. Um, well, okay, cool! Cool. I’ll book the flight.”
“Okay. Cool.”
Matthew meets you at your place the day before Thanksgiving, greeting you with a hug and a kiss on your belly. “Hey, you ready?”
“Yeah…” you grumble. “I’m all packed, just tired.”
“Want me to carry you?”
“Ha…ha…no, thanks.”
“I’m so dead serious. I’ve been lifting weights, gotta train to carry a baby around.”
“I’m telling you, this fucker is heavy.”
He laughs, “Yeah, he looks it already. Is there anything I can do for you?”
“Um…” you sigh. “Can you just carry my bags?”
“[y/n].” He looks you in the eye. “I was going to do that anyway.”
You get sick on the plane and the flight attendant gives you ice to chew and a cold rag for your forehead. Matthew is constantly rubbing your leg and fanning you with the safety booklet.
“Ugh, I’m so sorry. What can I do?” he asks.
“Will you be the pregnant one for a little bit?”
“Yes, if that’s what you need.”
His face is serious and you can’t help but laugh, “Fuck you.”
As you drive through the desert, you have to keep your eyes closed to feel peace. You only open them when the car slows down and you arrive at the house.
“Oh, by the way,” Matthew says as he shuts the car off. “My family thinks we’re together. Like dating.”
Your eyes goes wide and you shoot up in your seat, “What? What?” you yell.
“Look, look, I’m sorry! I didn’t know what else to say!”
“Uh, how about I got a little too drunk and horny on a Friday night and put a baby in someone? You don’t lie! What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“I…ugh! I’m sorry. I know, I know. I will tell them the truth, but not right now. [y/n], please.”
“No.”
“[y/n]…”
“No. Fuck you! How could you wait until we get here to tell me that bullshit? You’re insane!”
“Okay. Okay, you’re right. I’m sorry, let’s just, please go inside and I will fix it.”
“No.”
“What?”
“I don’t wanna go inside now. You pissed me off.”
“Oh, my…” he huffs. “[y/n], please.”
“No!” you cross your arms. “I’m staying in the car.”
Just then, his mom comes rushing out the house, waving to you both from the front door and you have to put on a smile very quickly.
“I will tell them,” he whispers.
“Oh, you fucking better,” you sneer, still smiling. “Or I will.”
You play along as you’re introduced to everyone. You tell them about yourself. You show them the most recent ultrasound, you pig out on all the food just laying around and somehow, along the way, you forget why you were mad.
Until you retire to bed and they have you and Matthew set up in one room. Then, you are pissed all, over, again.
You rush into the shower to avoid him and when you come back out, he’s laying in the bed.
“Hi,” he smiles nervously.
“Fuck you.”
“Okay.”
“Did you tell them?”
“No. I’m sorry. I will.”
“When?”
“Tomorrow.”
“Matthew.”
“[y/n]-“
“Matthew!”
“Okay. Okay. I’ll tell them now.”
“Yeah.”
Still, he lays there. “I…I pulled out your maternity pillow. All ready for you.”
“Get out the damn bed,” you grumble and he’s up before you lay down. And worse, he just stands there.
You roll over from your side, looking at him. He’s looking at you and his face pisses you off so you shout, “Matthew!”
“Okay!” and he leaves the room.
He comes back in after you’ve fallen asleep but still, half awake, you ask, “Did you tell them?” and you don’t even question it when he lays beside you, cradles you in his arms.
“Yeah, I did.”
“Good.”
And you fall asleep just like that.
Thanksgiving goes well, despite the recent news. You practically clear the table yourself because you’re eating for two and one of you is much greedier than the other. You meet Matthew’s dad, who spends the entire evening lulling you into security just to later pull the two of you into a separate room.
Here, the conversation gets legal. And while you were not expecting it, you’re grateful. You hadn’t thought of any of this. Custody, exchange schedules, schools, primary addresses, out-of-state trips. All of it.
His dad finally asks, “And what last name will the baby be taking?”
You say, “[y/l/n],” as Matthew says, “Oh, Gubler, for sure.” And the two of you just slowly turn to look at each other.
“Oh…” he dad says. “You two should probably discuss.”
That discussion lasts well into the night. Through the drive to the airport. Through the flight.
By the time you land, you’ve compromised. You’ll hyphenate.
December | 26 Weeks
Your next appointment is just over a week before Christmas. Matthew agrees then to spend Christmas Eve with you. Your family comes into New York just to keep you from flying yourself. When they arrive, your home is cluttered with boxes and pieces of the crib and a dismantled bassinet and bottles and boxes of diapers and wipes. Your baby shower was a huge success. You and baby boy want for nothing. But you’re big, you’re stressed, you’re aching and you can’t stop crying.
“Baby, let us put the nursery together for you,” you mom suggests.
“No. No, we’ll do it. It’s fine. I want to do it.”
“Okay. Speaking of, is your baby daddy gonna be here any time soon?”
“Yeah, he’s on the way.”
And as if on queue, Matthew walks in and everyone exclaims, “Hey! Baby daddy!”
Your sibling walks up to him immediately and says, “Love Criminal Minds, dude,” and you put your face in your hands.
Matthew gets everything stuffed into the nursery just for now so there’s more space for everyone to move around. He helps your mom with dinner and he doesn’t mind when they poke and prode into his life.
“So, baby daddy, what part of New York are you in?”
“So, baby daddy, is this your first kid?”
“So, baby daddy, do you think you might propose to [y/n] someday?”
“Baby daddy, what’s your net worth?”
And this is not an exaggeration. By the end of the night, he responds to baby daddy like it’s his actual government name and he confesses to you that it makes him uncomfortable.
Standing on your balcony, he wraps a blanket around you and rubs your shoulders, “Y’know, I understand the terminology, definitely. But…damn.”
You cackle, “Well..you are my baby daddy. We’re having a baby together, but were not together, but we have sex sometimes. It fits. Hey, I’m your baby mama!”
“Aw, well…” he sighs. “Thats sweet.” And he grins at you as you burst into laughter.
Your family leaves to stay at a hotel and Matthew stays to make sure you’re okay. You’re pretty fucking exhausted to be honest. So he tucks you into bed and runs his hand over your hair, “You need anything?”
“No. Just sleep.”
“Okay,” he touches your belly. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
When you wake up in the morning, your first thought is that you need to eat. You remember some sugar cookies that your mom had brought by last night and you decide to have them for breakfast. You walk to the kitchen and passing by the nursery, you almost don’t notice. Then, you stop in your tracks, tilt your head and walk backwards.
It’s done.
It’s done!
The crib is built, the dresser and changing table are assembled, the mobile’s up and running, the rocking chair is in the corner. Even the wall art you picked out is hanging up.
“Wh-what…” you stutter and then you march to the living room where Matthew is passed out on the couch. “Matthew!” you shout. Still, he doesn’t wake. So you rush over and shake him, going, “Matthew! Matthew!” and he jolts awake.
“What?” he takes hold of your hands. “What? Are you okay? Are you alright?”
“Yes. What…what the hell did you do?”
“What do you mean?” he rasps. “Oh…the nursery? Do you like it?”
“Do I…” you cut yourself off and run back to the nursery, where you wander around the room unable to focus your attention on just one thing.
Matthew follows behind you and watches you from the doorway, his arms crossed over his chest. “Well?”
“It’s…” you gleam. “Exactly like my pinterest board.”
“Of course it’s exactly like your pinterest board, I’m not insane!” he laughs.
You feel this peace wash over you and you hug your baby bump as you breathe out a slow exhale. You turn to him with a smile and he thinks you’re running to give him a hug. So when you all but tackle him, take him a kiss, push him to the floor, tear off his clothes, it all happens so fast.
When it’s over, you have no bottoms on and your head is laying on his chest. “I’m sorry,” you whisper. “I should probably stop attacking you like that.”
He chuckles, “No. Don’t. I don’t mind.”
January | 30 Weeks
Your appointments are every two weeks now. This is the time you expected Matthew to miss at least one, but he never does. He’s always there. Even when he’s not with you, he’s always there.
When your insomnia is at its very worst, he facetimes you in the middle of the night.
“Hey,” he smiles at the screen. “I knew you’d be up.”
“No, you didn’t.”
“Insomnia still kicking your ass?”
“Every night this past week.”
“Ugh, I’m sorry, honey,” he frowns. “But since you’re up, I thought we could talk baby names?”
“Oh,” you say. You had forgotten about that. “Oh…right…names.”
“I know, we kinda dropped the ball on that one,” he laughs. “Now, it’s kinda a Gubler tradition that all the boys have the middle name Gray. Y’know, alliteration and all.”
“Oh..that’s…” Boring, you think. “Unoriginal. Can we compromise?”
“Well, I’m already compromising with the hypenating so I don’t know.”
“Oh, good g-“ you roll your eyes. “Sir, you hyphenated like 7 months ago, let it go.” And he lets it go. You add, “I like the name Lincoln. Link.”
“Ooh, no. He used to bully me in school. What about Silas?”
“Yeah, cause he’s a vampire? Veto. I like Noah.”
“Cause he’s building an arc? Veto!”
“Ugh.”
“What about Simon? Y’know I voiced him in the movie.”
You roll your eyes, again. “Yes. We know. Veto.”
Silence falls over the call as you both rack your brains for another suggestion. And like a domino, it naturally falls into your mind, “Theodore?” you shrug.
Matthew smiles, “Teddy?”
“Aw!” you squeal. “Teddy Gray…” you say aloud and then a tear falls from your eye and then you’re full blown sobbing in front of the camera. “Teddy Gray, that’s it. That’s his name.”
And Matthew is freaked out because he’s never seen you cry before. Ever. Not at the doctor, not in the nursery, he’s never had the pleasure of meeting your hormones face to face quite like this. “Yeah…” he chokes out a sob. “That’s it,” he wipes his eyes. “Fuck, why am I crying?”
“Oh, why would you be, you fucking freak?” you shout and he thinks it’s the funniest thing you’ve ever said.
Suddenly, your doorbell rings and it silences you, scares you. “What the fuck?” you whisper. “Is that you?”
“Nope. I had something delivered.”
“What? Right now?”
“Just a little cinnamon roll and a milkshake, but I can tell them to leave if you don’t want it?”
“Oh, my god,” you rush out of bed and immediately waddle to the door, “You’re amazing. I wanna have your baby.”
February | 34 Weeks
Your customized pillows and blankets have come in the mail. They all say Teddy and his baby book says it too. It is perfect. It’s your son. At your last appointment, he weighed about 7 pounds and you certainly feel every ounce weighing you down.
But for Teddy, it’s worth it.
For now, you’re still going to work and taking an afternoon nap for survival. Matthew jokes all the time that you can quit your job whenever you’d like. That he can take care of you both, just say the word. That was never the deal, but you appreciate it.
When you arrive home on Valentine’s Day, you’re just getting settled when your doorbell rings. You look through the peep hole and the delivery man is holding the largest vase of roses you’ve ever seen.
“Hi,” he greets you. “[y/n] [y/l/n]?”
“Yes,” you nod and take the roses in your arms. “Thank you.”
He hands you a tiny bag and you carry everything inside, setting them down on the table.
“One more thing,” he tells you and when you turn around, it is a teeny, tiny vase of snipped roses. The vase is personalized with the name Teddy.
“Aw,” you want to cry but you can’t do it in front of this random man. So only when he leaves, you let the tears fall and you set Teddy’s vase near in the window in his room. You leave your flowers on the living room table and take a small jewelry box out of the bag. Inside, are the most gorgeous pair of ruby pendant earrings and you audibly gasp.
The card accompanying it all reads: Sorry I can’t be with you and Teddy today, but I’m thinking about you both. I’m always thinking about you.
Happy Valentine’s Day, baby mama!!

March | 37 Weeks
“Any day now, [y/n],” your doctor beams, rolling the wand around on your belly. “How are you feeling?”
“Good,” you nod. “Excited. Scared. I didn’t give it much thought about how I was gonna get him out of there.”
Her and Matthew laugh, Matthew holding your hand like it’s No Big Deal.
“You’re gonna do great. You’re right on track for your due date, but it’s possible you’ll start feeling some contractions in the next week or two. If you notice them coming really close together or your water breaks, I want you to put that birthing plan in motion, okay?”
“Okay,” you and Matthew say in unison. It would’ve annoyed you before. Now you just smile at him because you think it’s cute.
Matthew escorts you back home and he’s hoping you’ll settle in and maybe rest. You don’t. You end up in the nursery, walking around like maniac. There is absolutely nothing to do. Nothing to move. Nothing to fix. Still, your brain tells you there must be something.
“Honey, honey,” he calls, taking you by the hand and guiding you to the couch. “Come lay down, please. Everything is all set.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure,” he laughs. “You’re just nesting, I read about it online.”
“Oh, you and your baby google.”
“There really is so much out there!”
You roll your eyes, smiling as he covers you with a blanket. “You still going to Vegas this weekend? For your birthday?”
“Oh, no. No, I think I’m just gonna stay in New York.”
“What? Why? I thought your mom was planning a whole thing for you? You can’t miss it.”
“Well, I don’t wanna miss Teddy coming either. I don’t wanna leave you alone like that. The doctor said any day now.”
“Yeah, but, she also said it could be well over another week before I start contracting.”
He sighs, visibly anxious.
“Hey, look,” you pull him into your arms. “I appreciate you wanting to be here, I really do, but I want you to enjoy your birthday and I highly, highly doubt this kid is planning on escaping any time soon. Plus, my friend will be here if anything happens so, just, go, baby daddy, we’ll be fine.”
He sighs, “Fine. But you’ll call me if anything happens?”
“I will call you.”
“Immediately?”
“Immediately!”
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
“Fine.”
“Fine.”
March 9 | 37 Weeks and 6 Days
The eve of Matthew’s birthday, you get roughly four hours of sleep. You rise with the sun and sit in Teddy’s room, folding his clothes, piling them in his dresser.
You friend wanders in, having just woken up herself and she sighs, “What the hell are you doing, crazy lady?”
“Nothing.”
“This nursery looks like it’s straight out of Architectural Digest. There’s nothing else to do, why don’t you go lay down?”
“Why is everyone always wanting me to lay down?”
“Because you’re carrying a human maybe? Duh?”
“I’m fine. I feel fine. I need to check on the bottles and make sure I have the right sized nipples because I’m not sure…”
“[y/n], you have all the nipples in the world. The ones, the twos, the threes, the ones on your tits. It’s fine!”
“I’m just checking!” And as you step towards the kitchen, you suddenly stop in your tracks, grab onto your crotch in shock.
“[y/n]?” you friend rushes to your side. “What’s wrong?”
“I-I…I, um, I think I just pissed myself?”
“Wh-what? Pissed yourself or did your water break?”
You look up at her in fear, “Oh my god.”
“I’ll get the hospital bag.”
“Oh my god.”
“Get some pants and shoes on, dude!”
“Oh my god,” you repeat. “I-I have to call Matthew.”
So you do. You do. Just in the knick of fucking time, your name pops up on his phone and he quickly grabs his luggage and sprints off the plane that was doomed to take off any second.
When he arrives at the hospital, he bursts into the room at full speed, thinking he’s already missed everything. Thinking it’s over. He finds you bouncing on a birthing ball and you grin at him.
“Hi, baby daddy!” you huff. “Happy birthday!”
“Hi! Hi…” he walks up to you, takes your hands in his although you do not stop bouncing. He kisses the top of your head, “Are you okay? How far along are you?”
“Three centimeters,” you pant. “And I am not getting off of this ball until it’s 10!”
“Okay, well, you have to take a break at some point. Do you need some water?”
“Nope! Just need to bounce.”
You last, maybe, five more minutes and then you need to lay down. Except you can’t. Because your contractions are ridiculous and you can never get comfortable and you end up on all fours in the bed, crying and groaning.
And three hours later, you are only 5 centimeters dilated.
Matthew lays in the bed beside you, patting your face with a rag, feeling absolutely useless. “What can I do, [y/n]? Tell me what to do.”
You cry and squeeze his hand until this contraction passes. You pant, “Y-y’know…I’ve heard sometimes…when a baby won’t come out…p-people….sometimes…”
“What? What do they do?”
“They…y’know…”
He is still confused.
“Like!” you shout in frustration. “Like, what gets the baby in also gets the baby out!”
It clicks, “Oh!” he exclaims. “Oh. Will that…will that hurt him?”
“I don’t think so,” you shake your head. “But he’ll sure as shit get the message.”
And so, two fingers, ten minutes and six big pushes later, Theodore Gray [y/l/n]-Gubler is born. He weighs eight pounds, five ounces but he feels so heavy in your arms.
Finally in your arms.
Matthew, like a big baby himself, can’t stop crying. Can’t stop looking at him. Can’t stop kissing your face, “Look at him! He’s beautiful! You did it! Oh, my god, [y/n]! Look what you did!”
Teddy is truly the best birthday gift Matthew has ever gotten.
Two days later, you’re discharged from the hospital. Matthew arranged for a car to drive you home and he installs the car seat himself. He pushes you out in a wheelchair, despite your frequent protests, and gets Teddy buckled in. He then helps you and into the car before sliding in on the opposite side of the car seat.
You cover Teddy with his blanket and touch your fingertips to his face. He’s fast asleep, but this little grin forms on his face and the two of you chuckle.
“Hey,” you coo to him. “Hey, mister man, what are you doing? Huh? You…really don’t look a thing like me.”
Matthew cackles, “Yeah. Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus.”
He follows behind you with the car seat as you unlock your front door and lead them inside.
“Should we…I mean, do we just let him sleep?” he asks you.
“Until he’s hungry, yeah,” you nod, taking Teddy from his carrier. “Oh, hi…” you whisper to him. “Hi, mister man, you wanna lay in your bed? Hm?”
You place him in his crib and he doesn’t make a sound. Doesn’t make a move. Matthew plops down on the floor, legs crisscrossed and you sit right beside him.
“He’s so fucking cool,” he tells you.
You giggle, “The coolest.”
The two of you could stare at him all day. You will.
“Is it still okay if spend the night?” he asks.
You look up at him with a smile, “Yes, we’d like that very much,” and you put your head on his shoulder.
His kisses your forehead softly, saying, “Cool.”

Drunken confessions- J. Marino
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
John Marino x Hughes! Sister
In which you drunkenly admit your feelings for your brother’s teammate
Warnings?; fluff, talks of embarrassment, crying, drunkenness, cursing, throwing up and mentions of it, kissing, slight age gap(5 years), I apologize for any errors.
The sound of the front door bursting open along with stumbling feet and mixed curses caused John to jump up from his spot on the couch.
Making his was to the entryway of the house he found both of your brothers holding you upright as they did their best to get you into the house.
“What the hell happened?” He questioned the younger men as he moved forward to give them a hand.
“Someone was upset about failing her test so let’s just say the vodka shots were never ending tonight.” Luke grumbled as they finally made way into the living room and laid you onto the couch where John had just been sitting.
John laughed lightly at the sight of your snoring form, your hair was messy and makeup smudged, yet to him you still looked just as beautiful as earlier in the evening when you first emerged from your room for a night out with your brothers.
“Um My girls here, I’m gonna head out.” Luke coughed before he quickly rushed out of the house.
“Okay?” John laughed as he looked at Jack who looked just as guilty.
“I-would you be okay watching over her till morning? She usually doesn’t puke or anything and Vodka tends to knock her out so she shouldn’t be an issue.” Jack rushed, rocking back onto his heels while he awaited his teammates answer.
“Where are you going?” John questioned confused.
“There’s a girl in my car….waiting to go back to her place…” Jack breathed.
“Oh, uh yeah I can look over her. Go enjoy yourself man.” John shrugged, you were snoring pretty loud and it looked like you wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon.
“Thank you! I swear the next time we go to dinner I got you covered. You’re the best man!” Jack beamed.
John watched as your brother placed a kiss to the top of your head before rushing out the door and making sure to shut it quietly behind him.
John grabbed the remote off the coffee table before he sat on the opposite side of the gray sectional, he unpaused his show and picked up from where he had left off.
However he had trouble keeping his eyes on the tv for long, they seemed to continuously drift over to your sleeping form. He didn’t understand how someone could be as beautiful as you, he still remembers when Jack introduced you a few months back.
You’d alway been around and he knew he had met you before but there was something different this time. You were in college, had just transferred over from the university of Michigan so you could attend a better program.
He knew he shouldn’t have looked at you the way he did, you had barely just turned twenty-one but there was something in those blue eyes and dark hair that captivated him.
Especially once his apartment building had to be shut down due to an outbreak of termites and your brothers offered their last spare room to him three months ago.
He thought he’d be fine living under the same roof as you, you’d always be at school, him at practice or a game, however he was very wrong. He couldn’t help the way his eyes followed you throughout the house, how his heart warmed at the sound of your laugh, or how he blushed like a teenager anytime you came within a foot of him.
The sound of you coughing pulled him from his thoughts and before he knew it you were jumping up and sprinting down the hallway towards the bathroom.
Hearing your gags echo throughout the hall he quickly followed behind you and grabbed your hair just in time for you to empty the contents of your stomach into the toilet.
You don’t register who it was behind you even as there was a cold rag placed onto the back of your neck;something your brothers never did, however that didn’t stop you from thinking it was one of them.
“Thanks Jacky.” You mumbled as your head rested on the back of your hand.
“Uh, I’m not Jack but you’re welcome.” John spoke softly.
Your body went stiff at the sound of his soft voice, there was no way you just puked in front of him, dread filled your stomach and before you knew it tears of embarrassment were streaming down your cheeks.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” The older man quickly kneeled beside you on the cold tile of the bathroom floor.
“S’ nothing” you grumbled slightly pushing him away.
John pushed away the flash of hurt in his chest and grabbed your chin to lift your head, his free hand pushing the hair that had fallen in your face back.
“Don’t say it’s nothing, what’s wrong Y/n?” He asked gently.
“That was embarrassing” you mumbled, eyes looking everywhere besides his.
“Throwing up? There’s nothing embarrassing about that sweetheart, trust me I’ve cleaned up Jack’s vomit more times than I can count.” He laughed.
You tried not to swoon at the nickname he let slip, but the alcohol in your system wouldn’t let it go as your cheeks flamed bright red.
“I didn’t just throw up John, I threw up in front of you!, my crush, the hot guy that’s older and can have any girl he wants, the guy that doesn’t want some sloppy college girl.” You cried.
John swore his heart skipped a beat at your admission, but he couldn’t lie that his brain made him think it was just your drunken words.
“See you don’t feel the same and it’s all because I threw up in front of you.” The alcohol spoke for you and John couldn’t help but giggle lightly.
“How about we talk about this tomorrow? When you’re sober.” He asked softly.
“Okay.” You agreed.
John smiled and helped you off the floor, his hands gripped your waist and walked you towards your bedroom a few doors down. He sat you on the bed and turned to your large vanity looking for makeup remover, finding what he needed he made his way back towards you and began to wipe your face.
“Are you taking my makeup off?” You whispered.
“Mhm” he nodded.
You smiled as he ran the wipe along your forehead before coming down and running it over your cheeks and eyes, doing his best to get everything off.
“Do you want some pajamas?” He asked.
“Yes please, they’re in the drawers on the right.” You smiled softly.
He nodded and made his way over to your dresser grabbing you an old T-shirt and a pair of shorts he sat them next to you.
“I’ll be right back.” He spoke as he left you to get dressed and to collect a bottle of water and Tylenol for you.
He came back to find your bedroom door open once again and your body tucked comfortably under your large comforter.
He sat everything on your bedside table and wished you a goodnight but before he could exit your room he heard your voice speak up.
“John?”
“Yeah?” He replied as he turned back to face you despite the now pitch black room.
“You promise we can talk tomorrow?” He heard you ask quietly.
“Promise.”
“Goodnight John.”
“Night Y/n, sleep tight.” He smiled and made his way to his own bedroom for a long sleepless night.
-
The following morning you woke up to the smell of bacon flowing into your room making your severely dry mouth water.
Sitting up you looked down at the shirt you wore and the shorts on your legs, confusion wracked through your body for a moments until the memories of puking in the toilet and John taking care of you came floating back.
Butterflies filled your stomach as you remembered how well he took care of you and made sure you got into bed safely. However your smile quickly faded as you remembered that you drunkenly admitted your feelings to the older man last night.
“Fuck!” You groaned as you slumped back into the comfort of your bed.
It took you a few minutes to get the guts to go out to the kitchen where you knew John was no doubt cooking breakfast.
Shuffling into the large kitchen of the house you found him standing him at the stove, shirtless with sweatpants low on his waist, his rib cage tattoo on full display.
“Morning sleepyhead” he smiled as he heard you take a seat at the island.
“Morning.” You greeted with an awkward smile.
You watched as he turned the the fire off and turned to place the last few pieces of bacon onto a plate, looking around you noticed pancakes and a bowl of fresh fruit.
“Eat up, you definitely need it.” He spoke up nudging a plate in your direction.
You wanted to but you couldn’t take the feeling that weighed down on your chest, the anxiety of what you admitted last night lingering over you.
“John, I’m sorry.” You mumbled quickly.
“For what?”
“For what I said and did last night. I shouldn’t have drank as much as I did and you shouldn’t have had to take care of me while I was a mess, I was probably a handful and I’m real-” You began but the feeling of soft lips touching yours cut you off.
It took you a moment to respond due to shock but once you shook it off you were tangling a hand into his curls and pushing your lips harder against his.
He placed a large hand on your jaw, tipping your head back as his tongue slid into your mouth and ran against yours.
You whined when he pulled his lips away from yours, embarrassingly following his mouth as he pulled back.
“Don’t apologize.” He whispered, hand still holding your jaw.
“Did you really mean what you said last night? About me being the guy you like?”
You nodded softly, “I’m sorry if it’s weird.”
“It’s not weird, especially since I feel the same way.” He smiled.
“You do?”
John laughed lightly, “Thought me kissing you was enough of a give away.”
“Hmm, I’m not sure I’m convinced. Maybe you should give me another one.” You smirked.
“Is that so?” He asked, spreading your thighs a bit more as he slipped between them.
“Mhm” you nodded, teeth sinking into your bottom lip as you looked up at him.
He smirked before dipping down and kissing you breathless this time, it was different from the first kiss. This one was full of passion, his hands tangled into your hair as kissed you deeply.
Once he pulled away he rested his forehead against yours.
“Are you sure you’re okay with me only being twenty-one?” You questioned softly.
“As long as you’re okay with dating an old man.” He laughed.
“You are not old!” You giggled.
He gave you one more kiss before backing up and beginning to make himself a plate and you followed behind him to make one of your own. And after a delicious breakfast you two cleaned up and made your way to the living room to relax on the couch, this time cuddled up next to each other instead of on opposite ends.
“How should we tell my brothers?” You questioned.
“Tell us what?” You heard from the entryway.

what about Hobie dragging the reader to their apartment after a party and they're babbling and drunkenly hitting on Hobie, completely oblivious to the fact that he's their boyfriend
like "hey, handsome, can you give me your number?" COMING ON HE'S TRYING TO CHANGE YOU AND GET YOU TO BED IN YOUR HOME
I love your work btw
you inspire me to learn english better haha
Pick Up Line — Hobie x Reader
Notes: I wrote this before going to sleep 🫡 it is not proofread (I might do that tomorrow) writing this was so much fun, I only knew what I wanted to write in the beginning, and then I just let everything unfold on it’s own. I didn’t have a title for this until I finished it. I hope you like it!!
Man I have so many requests I’m sorry for posting one thing and then disappearing for months 😭 anyways, here’s the fic:
Tumblr media
“No! Put me down! I have a boyfriend!” You groaned with a breathless sigh, feeling the heaviness of the booze weighting down on your body, most of all your mind.
Hobie chuckled as he carried you back to your apartment after one of those self destructive parties the darker alternative scene liked to throw every now and then.
“Oh, you do?” He chuckled with a cheeky tone as you hummed.
“Uh-huh. I do, and he’s the most handsomest, coolest motherfucker…” You replied and let your head fall onto his shoulder as he was carrying you as if you weighted nothing on his arms, with an arm holding your back and on the other your legs. “He’d kick your ass,”
“Oh, would he?” Hobie teased, raising an eyebrow, thinking it was insanely adorable how even on your state you talked so highly and proudly of him in your own way.
“Yup, certified badass shit,” You groaned. “I love him,”
He let out a deep chuckle as he gazed at you and turned on the corner, spotting your flat building a couple of blocks down.
“I’m pretty sure I could kick his ass,” Hobie said, trying to see how you’d react.
“In your dreams,” You sighed deeply.
As he approached your flat building and got inside, in your drunken state probably it would be best to avoid using his Spider-Man skills. You’d either puke, or start yelling that he’s Spider-Man and he wouldn’t risk it. On the bright side, you lived on the third floor.
As he stopped by your door, he gazed at you. “Can hold yourself up for a couple of seconds while I open the door, darlin’?” He asked you, as you giggled.
“Darlin’…” You giggled as you nodded and tried hopping off his arms as he let you down, and you leaned against the wall.
As you patted the pockets of your jacket, you found your keys and took them out as he gently took them off your hands and unlocked your apartment.
In your drunken haze, you started at him with a soft smile, taking in the details. The door squeaking open went unnoticed, your mind was too taken away by Hobie.
“Hey there handsome,” You sighed and closed your eyes. “What are you doing in my apartment?”
“You’re never gonna believe this,” He chucked as he gently grabbed your hand and pulled you in with him. “But I basically live here as well,” he chuckled.
It was partially true. He had his sailboat docked not far from there, but your apartment was wider, and every excuse to spend time with you, he’d take it right away. At this point he spent more nights crashing at your apartment than staying in his sailboat.
“God! What a small world!” You whispered as you let him guide you to your room.
“Isnt it?” He chuckled and as you got to your room, you let yourself collapse on the bed.
“Do you have a phone number I can borrow?” You asked with a cheeky tone, as Hobie chuckled and gazed at you as he looked in your wardrobe for your pyjamas.
Something in his chest squeezing with a sweet nostalgic feeling. It had been the exact same awful pick up line you’d used on him when you’d met him a couple of years ago. The rest was history, and now you were drunk in your apartment with your boyfriend taking care of you.
“What about your badass boyfriend?” He teased as he grabbed your pajama pants and sat on the edge of the bed and helped you take off your shoes.
“God, he’s so badass…I love him,” You sighed sleepily as you closed your eyes, as you slowly came to the realisation that he was taking off your shoes. “What are you doing? Buy me some coffee first,” you giggled with a soft snort.
“It’s too late to find a coffee shop open at this time, luv,” He chuckled and then took off your belt and undid your trousers.
At this point you were more asleep than awake and you let him take your pants off as you kept whining with playful banter. Both hitting on him and telling him about your badass boyfriend. As he managed to get you to put on your pyjama pants and remove everything last bit of uncomfortable accessories or clothes, he helped you get under the bedsheets.
He grabbed some water, aspirins and left them ready on the nightstand besides the bed, knowing the killer hangover you’d be having tomorrow. He then took off his boots, his vest, accessories and got on the bed with you in just his boxers and his t-shirt. By the time he did you were already lost in some dreamland and he simply snugged besides you and wrapped an arm around you before joining you in a deep sleep.
The next morning, he woke up to the sounds of your painful groaning and your husky voice saying:
“I’m never drinking that much ever again…I’m never drinking again, period…”
He opened his eyes, blinking several times before he finally processed your words He chuckled. “You always say that, luv…” He sighed and stared at you.
“Leave me alone…” You whined with a playful voice as you gulped down the water and the aspirins before collapsing on the bed again. “The last thing I remember is Karl and his boyfriend convincing me to do shots with them…”
“That was your mistake, you should know by this point those guys can drink their weight in booze,” He teased.
“I didn’t do anything stupid, did I?”
“You were about to let Mattea dye your hair in the bathroom in the middle of the party,” He explained, “and then ran off to the closest convenience store to try and buy bleach and hair dye…”
“Ah, fuck,”
“That’s when I thought maybe it was time to take you to bed,” He laughed softly. “So I brought you back,”
“Thanks, baby…” You whispered with a sheepish voice and kissed his skinny shoulder.
“You bragged to me the entire time about your boyfriend, by the way,” He teased.
“What?” You asked confused.
“And the proceeds to flirt with me and ask for my number…”
“Bullshit,” You groaned as you blushed softly, starting to remember some things about him carrying you back.
“You pulled out the same terrible pickup line you used the first time we met,” He giggled and looked at you from the corner of his eye.
“Oh my god…” You gasped, burying your face against the pillow in embarrassment. And after a brief silence you said: “did it work, though?” Your questions make Hobie laugh softly as he rolled to his side and looked at you, running his long slender fingers up your spine over the short.
“I’m here, am I not?” He replied with a soft velvet whisper.

Tossing the covers off of my body as quickly as I could I suddenly felt sick to my stomach. Daemon had a strong arm draped over my waist until I shoved his arms off of me. Stumbling out of the bed I flew to the chamber pot puking whatever was in my stomach from the dinner we ate the night before. “Y/n, what’s made you ill?” Daemon had awoken from his sleep running over to hold my hair out of my face..
“I’m not quite sure.” I croaked out once I had finally emptied the contents of my stomach and sat with my back against his chest.
Daemon rested his chin on top of my head, keeping his arms wrapped around my waist. “I’ll go find a Maester right away-“
“I’ll come with you. If this is some illness I don’t wish to pass out onto the floor while you’re away.” I snatched his wrist, halting him from going further. Together we made our way through the castle until the closest person we came upon was none other than Alice Rivers.
“You’re new wife becomes sick this morning I hear.”
Daemon grumbled still not trusting the woman before us. “I don’t have time for your words, witch. Just tell me what is wrong with my wife. You are apparently this haunted castle’s only maester.”
“Lay her on the table.” She rushed quickly clearing off her workspace before Daemon laid me down on my back and she rubbed her hand all over my stomach and lifted up my nightgown before asking me. “When did you last bleed, lady fish?”
Running a hand through my hair I couldn’t exactly recall the last time. “I don’t entirely know. Possibly two moons ago. Why?”
“If you haven’t bled recently then you’re pregnant with his wee bear growing inside your belly.” Alice points her hand at Daemon who tried to show no emotion around her.
Rolling over onto my side I grinned back at the dragon prince. “We’re gonna have a baby.”
Daemon crossed the room not saying anything before he grabbed my face and kissed me deeply until we needed air. “You will be a very excellent mother to our little dragon.” I wrapped my arms around his neck drawing him back in for another kiss until someone interrupted the kiss.
“Your grace, oh - uh forgive me.” The caretaker of the castle named Simon came into the room seeing us sharing a moment.
Daemon didn’t look at the man when he grumbled his next words. “What is it?”
“The lord of Riverrun has arrived.”
I jumped down from the table running as fast as my legs could carry me, not bothering to wait on the men behind me. I hadn’t seen a member of my family since my father had shipped me off to this place so long ago. Pushing the doors open I expected to see my very ill father but I was greeted by a young boy with curly brown hair standing in front of the large round table. “Who might you be?”
“My name is Oscar. My grandsire is Grover Tully. Praise the gods Aunt Y/n is that you?” Oscar began formally speaking until he recognized the eyes staring back at him.
I let out a half chuckle crossing the room moving closer to the boy. “Ha! So my father did mention me after he shipped me off. Anyhow, Oscar look how big you’ve grown. I remember how small you were on your first nameday. Can I get a hug, little nephew?”
“I didn’t think I’d ever get to meet you.” He flung his arms around my neck and I wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him in closer with us both laughing in enjoyment. “I’ve heard tales of the Tully daughter who decided to wield a sword despite what everyone else thinks about it.”
“Well isn’t this a happy family reunion?” Daemon sent me a smile resting one hand on the handle of his sword that he carried on his hip.
“My - my - my prince. Uh my grace - your grace.” Oscar nervously tried to address him once we had broken our hug seeing Daemon and Simon Strong enter the room.
Daemon glanced back at the Strong man. “Lord Grover is looking more hair than healthy than I expected.”
“This is Oscar Tully. Grandson to Grover Tully. He is heir to Riverun and the future Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. His grace, the king concoct Daemon Targaryen and his Lady Wife I suppose Y/n of - um forgive me my lady.”
I sent the older man a gentle smile. “He’s my nephew, Simon Strong. I’m formerly of House Tully.”
“It is an honor, your grace.” Oscar said watching the dragon remove his sword, laying it on the table and sitting down before him and only then did the nervous lad sit down too.
Daemon nodded his head in my direction. “Indeed. Lady wife, come sit with us.”
“Oh okay.” I sat beside Daemon in the next chair over.
Daemon turned his attention to the young lad. “How fair’s your grandsire?”
“Sadly he remains incapacitated. He lies in a kind of waking sleep. Unable to do much more than eat or take a drink. It is barely enough to sustain him.”
Daemon tapped his fingers on the table. “So he’s alive?”
“Yes, gods be good.” Oscar brightly smiled.
Daemon leaned forward closer to the young boys face whispering a sentence that caught us both off guard for certain. “Well my time here is short and I’m in need of an army. Perhaps you place a feather pillow over his face and speed along your inheritance - fuck Y/n!”
“What the hell is the matter with you. You’re asking him to kill a member of my family when he’s only the age of ten and five.” I smacked my husband upside the back of the head sharply.
Daemon rubbed the back of his head glancing over at me. “If he’s an old man. Why let him suffer in pain. A quick death would be better for him and his grandson.”
“I - I love my grandsire. Like a father. My own Lord father died himself a young man. Lord Grover raised me in his stead.” Young Oscar explained nervously not thinking this conversation would resort to violence.
Daemon lowered his hand from the sore backside of his head bringing the topic of war back to the table. I knew he didn't like having to wait on anything, especially when it came to fighting battles. “All very touching are you here to speak with your grandsire's voice of House Tully in the Riverlands?”
“While he still lives?” Oscar raised a brow offended at the idea. “That is not our way.”
Daemon growled in the boy's face, picking up his sword and leaving the room. “Then you're of no use to me. I can see why the Blackwoods and Brackens did not fear to start a war beneath the nose of their ledge lords. House Tully is a fish with no head.”
“Daemon.” I called his name while getting up from my chair.
He placed his sword back onto his hip only sparing me a glance before he left the room. “Summon the Blackwoods here. I require men of action to lead my host of Rivermen.”
“Daemon! Daemon, wait a minute.” I chased after the prince grabbing the back of his tunic yanking hi, backwards before he could get any further from me. “I know you don’t like to hear that you’ll have to wait but-“
He spun around on his feet getting in my face. “I hate waiting. When you’re fighting a war there’s rarely time to wait for anyone else’s help.”
“Let me get my words out before you bite my head off. Like I was saying, give my lord Father time to pass on his own time and then you might have an edge of me talking with my nephew so that he and his bannermen will follow your queen Rhaenyra. Can you do that for me hmm. Can you take a pause before you run when something doesn’t go your way?”
He grabbed my face in his hands resting his forehead down against mine releasing a breath I didn’t know he was holding in. “I suppose I’ll have to wait for our little dragon to come into the world. So this should be no different.”
“Thank you, Daemon.” Draping my arms around his neck we embraced the other in a long hug.

Suguru Geto
Tumblr media
You’ve had the greatest night since forever, celebrating your birthday with your closest friends.
“Okay, one last shot, come on!”
You give in to your classmate Kenzo who literally pushes you to the bar. To be honest, you are already full to the brim and it is definitely past midnight. But still, you let him grab your hand, dragging you behind him while he orders two shots of your favorite liqueur.
“To you, sweetie.”
In a normal state of mind, you’d probably immediately turn him down. Kenzo has been hunting after you since he first laid eyes on you, always trying to push forward a relationship. And while you do think he is a decent person, the spark simply never spread.
But tonight you had way too much drinks to bother about his wording. With a swift motion, you empty the shot glass with one gulp, smiling triumphantly at the man in front of you.
“Hey (y/n), we’ll leave now”, another friend of yours announces.
“Oh yeah, I’ll leave soon too”, you reply with a sly grin.
“You want us to wait for you? You really shouldn’t walk home alone anymore, (y/n)”, the concerned voice of your bestie shouts over the blasting music.
“Nah don’t worry, I’ll go to the toilet now and then call a taxi.”
“Fine. Take care of yourself and make sure you go home alone”
She embraces you in a tight hug. With one last glance at Kenzo she and the others leave.
Suddenly everything seems to be too much for your overstimulated brain. The loud music, the constant glimmering of lights, the sweaty people surrounding you and especially the alcohol that makes you feel dizzy and a little unwell. Yes, it really is time to go.
“I’m gonna pee an’ leave”, you mutter into Kenzo’s ear before turning on your heels and walking towards the toilets.
Damn, you’re really not feeling well anymore. That last shot was definitely too much, you can’t even walk a straight line, even pulling down your panties seems like an impossible act at this point. A glance into the mirror reveals your pale face and sunken eyes. Yeah, you should call it a day. Let’s just get this over with and call a taxi.
You make your way back to the bar, back where you’ve seen Kenzo the last time. Even though you have absolutely no nerve to talk to him right now, you force your way through the crowd of people.
“Will leave now. See ya.”
Without waiting for his reply, you push through the crowd of people to the exit, wobbly legs barely able to even stand on your high heels any longer.
The fresh air of the night hits you like a wall, almost making you throw up. Fuck, you feel like shit. You’ll definitely regret drinking that much in the morning.
“Hopefully I don’ have to puke…”, you mumble to yourself.
While holding onto a tree for support, you kick off your shoes, almost falling into a nearby bush when picking them up.
“Much better…”
The streets are lonely, almost therapeutic at this point. Maybe you don’t even have to call a taxi. After all, you’re only living a few blocks away from here. This shouldn’t be a problem, right?
“Hey, (y/n)!”
Urgh, that voice. That all too familiar voice you really don’t wanna hear anymore tonight.
“What’s up, Kenzo?”
“I can’t believe you’d leave without me!”
You blink at him, face showing absolutely no emotion while you desperately try to not vomit all over him. What’s up with that pick-me guy?
“Told ya I’m goin’ home now.”
He takes a few steps towards you, eyes darkening. Oh no. No, no, no. Even though you’re definitely very very drunk, this gives you chills. This can’t be a good sign. God, please just let him pull some dirt out of your hair, please let him-
“There’s something I wanted to talk about with you for a while now, (y/n).”
Geto didn’t mean to spy on the conversation that lays itself out just a few meters away from him, but he can’t help himself. The two of you probably left the nearby club while he gets home after exorcising some curses. Well, lives can be so different.
“Oh please don’t”, a female voice replies.
He has to squint his eyes in order to see who’s talking. A quite tall man who positioned himself in front a woman. She doesn’t seem too eager to be this close to him, though. Should he help you? No, he shouldn’t interfere.
“Just one kiss. Just one kiss and you’ll see that you like me too.”
The man grabs her shoulders violently, forcing himself onto you.
Geto should just keep going-
“Let me go!”, you scream out, your weak attempts to push him away failing miserably.
He can’t. With rapid steps he walks towards you both, pushing the man so hard that he stumbles backwards.
“I think the lady said no”, Geto notes calmly, positioning himself in front of you.
All you can do is stare at the scene with glossy eyes. Fuck, is it your fault that it came this far? Of course you always knew that Kenzo has feelings for you. You just never thought that he’d…force himrself onto you like that. But far more important is the man that came to save you, that man with his black hair in a neat bun wearing a black uniform. That man that looks so striking that you can’t take your eyes off him.
Who is he?
“This is none of your business!”, Kenzo barks at him.
“You might be right, but I can’t let you force yourself onto her, can I? Now please lower your fists and go home.”
He’s talking so friendly, his voice so soft and melodic that you just have to listen to him. You hold your breath, watching Kenzo’s every move.
“Please just leave, Kenzo. I told ya over and over I don’t wanna be with you”, you mumble.
“Get out of the way!”
It happens faster than you are able to even think. Kenzo lunges himself at the stranger, fists flying through the air. It only takes him one swift motion of his arm to knock Kenzo off his feet, landing in the grass butt first. His other hand is firmly pressed against your shoulder, keeping you at distance to the scene that folds itself out in front of you.
You have to blink a few times, mind still trying to process what just happened. Kenzo wanted to force himself onto you. That man, that absolutely breathtaking handsome man saved you with just one motion.
“Are you alright?”, the stranger asks in your direction, smiling at you so charming that you forget to properly breathe for a moment.
“Y-yeah…”, you stutter.
“We’ll talk about this when I see you again, (y/n). I won’t forget that”, Kenzo coughs out while lifting himself up.
“We sure will man”, you bark at him.
With one last glance at you, he turns around and stumbles away into the darkness of the night.
“I hope I didn’t scare you too much, I just couldn’t watch this. Are you really fine? You look a little pale to me”, the stranger speaks directed towards you.
The second he turns around to fully face you you are lost. He is much taller than you, huge frame lingering over you like a shadow. Despite his hair being in a neat bun, one single strand of hair frames his delicate features so perfectly that you can’t look away. And that smile…
You are mesmerized.
“Can you hear me? He didn’t hurt you, did he?”
You vehemently shake yourself out of your daydreaming.
“Nah, I’m alright.”
“Maybe a little drunk”, the stranger comments with a grin.
“Yeah, that’s for sure”, you mumble, a small smile creeping up your face.
“Are you living far away from here? I’m not comfortable with letting you walk around this late at night all one.”
“It’s a nice lil walk. But if you want to keep me company I wouldn’t be mad. Who are you?”
“My name is Suguru Geto. What’s your name?”
“Huh, what a nice name for a nice man…”, you spit out.
Fuck. Why are you always talking so openly when being drunk? This is definitely not the right time to get saved by a handsome guy.
Suddenly he begins to laugh at your comment, scratching the back of his head with a little blush creeping up his delicate cheeks.
“Don’t flatter me. Let’s get going, shall we?”
“Yeah…”
Even though you carry your heels in your hands, walking seems like an impossible mission this late at night after drinking so much. Your eyes focus on the pavement as hard as they can, mind telling your unruly feet what to do.
“Let me hold these for you.”
Gently, he takes your heels and carries them for you. Oh my, why does he have to be such a gentleman? A striking beautiful man with a character of gold is definitely stuff where dreams are made of.
“Why where you out there this late at night?”, you ask through the silence of the quiet streets around you.
“I just came back from work”, he replies.
“Oh, that’s rough buddy.”
Where the hell is he working this late at night with a fine uniform like the one he’s wearing? Definitely somewhere important.
“God, I love guys in uniform…”, you mumble more to yourself.
But of course he heard you, heart almost beating out of his chest by the way you gaze up at him. Despite you’ve probably been up all night long and what you had to endure that evening, you still look breathtakingly gorgeous.
“Who was that man? Did you know him?”
It’s not wise to get lost in your appearance. After all, he saved you from being harassed. Doing the same thing isn’t appropriate at all.
“Yeah, that’s Kenzo. He has a crush on me since a few years now. Guess he saw a chance because I’m drunk…”, you explain briefly, rolling your eyes just thinking about that jerk.
You’ll definitely confront him and then never talk to him again. What a creep.
Before you’re able to properly understand what’s going on you begin to fall over a breach.
Just a second before you hit the ground full force, a pair of strong arms catches you mid-air.
“Hey, are you alright? Don’t worry, I’ve got you”, Suguru notes, his hands holding you in place.
You don’t know what to do, eyes completely lost in his brown orbs that look down at you gently. His arms feel muscular against your back, making your breath hitch. God, how is this man so attractive? And why on earth is he so kind to an idiot like you? Your hands hold onto his broad shoulders tightly, not daring to let go. It feels as if he light a firework inside you you didn’t even know existed.
Is this the alcohol? No, definitely not.
“I will get you back on your feet now, okay?”, he breathes out while Suguru’s very own knees go weak by the way you gaze up at him.
You continue to walk in silence, both minds racing and hearts pounding out of your chests.
“Here I am…”, you finally mutter.
“You didn’t even tell me your name yet”, Suguru speaks out, kind eyes fixated on yours.
“If you want to see me again, find out and meet me…”, you purr, amazed by your own courage.
“Fine, I will. Have a good night. And don’t meet up with that guy again”, Suguru replies, pulling you into a short hug that leaves you absolutely speechless.
God, please let this man find you when you’re sober.
Please.
Megumi Fushiguro
Tumblr media
He lays his eyes on you the whole time. The way you just sit in the corner of the room, staring into the cup in front of you with empty eyes. While Megumi isn’t the type to party himself, you were always outgoing, confident, everyone’s sweetheart at every event. Seeing you like this at a birthday party doesn’t match this at all.
Why does he bother, though? He never failed to tell you to slow down, after all. Wouldn’t it be strange if he suddenly approached you like that?
“Huh, looks like (y/n) isn’t feeling that well”, Yuji comments beside him.
“I thought so too…”
“She and her boyfriend just broke up. Now she’s sitting there after gulping down some drinks…”, Nobara explains.
Megumi’s heart skips a beat. The two of you broke up? He always hated that guy, the way he treated you like shit and even worse, made you feel like it too. You should be glad it’s over just like he is.
Stop. He shakes his head in disbelief over his own thoughts. Why would he even bother about your relationship? You are nothing more than friends, going to Jujutsu High and fighting together. It isn’t more than that…
Right?
“You should go talk to her, Fushiguro”, Yuji suggests suddenly, making Megumi almost lose his cool.
He, talking to you about your relationship?
“Why me, idiot?”, Megumi mumbles.
“Because you have the best connection with her. No go”, Nobara persists, shoving his body your direction.
No, there’s no way in hell he can have that talk with you. Maybe he’s spilling the beans, maybe you’ll think he’s a weirdo.
Or even worse. Maybe you’ll get the idea that he likes you more than a friend.
Mindlessly, Megumi grabs a cup from the table, pouring down whatever it contains. He has no other choice, though. You’re feeling miserable and he can’t see you like that.
“Hey, how are you doing?”, he greets you before sitting down next to you on the couch.
“Oh, ‘m fine…”, you mumble.
He can tell by the way you smell like a sake factory and your stumbled words that you’ve drank a lot tonight. Megumi swallows, slipping back and forth uncomfortably next to you.
“Actually no. He broke up with me, ‘Gumi…”
Tears swell up your eyes all over again. You shouldn’t be sitting here like a fool, all depressed over a boy who never really loved you. No, you shouldn’t drink so much that you might forget his name. It’s not about him, though. It’s about the way he made you feel like shit, as if you aren’t worth being loved by someone.
And maye…Maybe he’s right with that. Your relationship lasted only 4 months. Maybe it is your fault, after all. Maybe you aren’t someone to be loved.
“I’m sorry to hear that”, Megumi replies.
“Don’t be. The relationship was shit anyways. Just like him…”
Megumi furrows his brows, trying to understand what you mean.
“Then why are you sad?”
Urgh, you hate the way Megumi looks at you, it’s not hard to tell that he’s judging you behind those eyes.
“Never mind, I need fresh air…”, you mumble, standing up so suddenly that your head spins in confusion.
Fuck. Megumi curses himself for being so dumb. Why did he ask such a question? Why did he just let you go like that while he’s still standing there, looking after you like the idiot he is?
Instinctively, his hand grabs another cup before he begins to run after you.
You hate the way tears run down your cheeks all over again. Damn, drinking was definitely a bad idea. While you do feel even better after a few sips of sake normally, the alcohol seems to strengthen your sadness when you’re down already. Angrily, you wipe over your face, try to stop yourself from feeling this depressed over a damned boy.
Megumi’s heart shatters when seeing you outside, your tears glistening in the moonlight. He clenches his hands into fist. God, just thinking about that jerk…How could he hurt you like that?
“Hey”, he gently mutters, his hand brushing over your back.
“Get lost”, you mutter into your hands.
Why does Megumi have to be here right now? He has never seen you cry. No, not in a million years you would have cried in front of him. But at the moment, everything seems to be crashing down on you, life a pile of pain.
“I won’t”, he remarks.
“Maybe it’s because I’m drunk or maybe I’m just being sensitive right now but…Megumi, do you think I’m the problem?”
His fingers stop right in their tracks, eyes darted towards you in nothing but disbelief. Did you really just say that? Is this really how you feel about yourself?
“I don’t want something like that coming out of your mouth ever again, (y/n).”
Suddenly Megumi is so close to you that you can feel his breath brushing against your face, eyes only inches away from yours.
“This guy was a jerk, he never deserved you anyway. You could do so much better.”
With him. You could do so much better with him.
“I know, this isn't about me having feelings for him. But what if I’m the problem, Megumi? Maybe I’m just hard to love…”
Megumi himself doesn’t know what’s happening to him. Is it because he himself drank more than usual or is it because you are drunk? He can’t tell. But at the moment, all he is able to do is grabbing your face and pressing his lips against yours.
He waited so long for this moment, even though he was never able to admit his feelings to you. But how is he supposed to keep his composure when you’re standing in front of him like that, tasting like mohito and tears you shouldn’t be crying out?
“You are definitely not hard to love. Believe me, I know it best”, he mumbles against your lips.
Your sharp and fast breath brushes against his opened lips, glossy eyes gazing up at him. Did Megumi really just kiss you? The Megumi Fushiguro who told you over and over how much he dislikes you? The Megumi Fushiguro who never really showed his feelings to anyone?
“Megumi”, you breathe out.
“Maybe it’s the alcohol, but I love you. I have loved you for a long time”, he mumbles.
“Finally!”, Nobara suddenly cries out.
Both of you break away from each other immediately, your face heated like fire.
“You see, Fushiguro? Wasn’t that hard, was it?”
“Can you just leave you idiots…”, he hisses through gritted teeth.
“Tell me (y/n), is he a good kisser?”
“NOBARA!”
Satoru Gojo
Tumblr media
You can’t help but admire your boyfriend on the dancefloor, his sunglasses reflecting the neon light so well. God, what a beautiful sight he is, how absolutely gorgeous.
“Enjoying the view babe?”, he shouts your direction.
His voice magically attracts you. Without thinking twice you make your way to him, arms wrapping themselves around his neck while you rub your butt against his crotch. The way his gaze lingers over your body makes shivers run down your spine, drunk mind wandering to places it shouldn’t be in.
“I’d rather enjoy you, babe”, you purr into his ear.
How is it that you have a few cocktails and start acting like a horny teenager? Satoru doesn’t mind, though. Quite the opposite, he loves it when your attention lays exclusively on him. In a crowd full of good-looking man, he is the only one you stare at shamelessly.
And he is the only one who’ll take you home tonight.
“I’ll grab a drink, don’t run away from me”, you seductively note, hands roaming around his broad chest before letting go.
“You’d have to stop me from following you instead, babe.”
With a last grin, you disappear in the crowd. Damn, how did he get so lucky? You’re the best thing that could have happened to him, a woman that turns heads on a regular basis. And you’re his. Exclusively his alone, the only man who gets the pleasure to see your striking body, the only one who’s allowed to hear your cute little moans.
“What is a cutie like you doing here on her own, huh?”, a black-haired guy next to you suddenly hushes into your ear, his breath of sake almost making you retch.
Ew, who is this guy and what the hell does he want from you? Even though you get it on from time to time, something about than man tells you that he’s off.
You are way too drunk and horny to deal with him right now.
“I’m not on my own, thank you”, you remark dryly, watching as the bartender mixes your swimming pool.
His body draws uncomfortably closer. So close that you can feel his disgusting body heat against yours.
“You sure about that? I’m not seeing any guy around here.”
Stay cool, he will leave when he finally gets that you don’t have interest. One last comment will be enough to get rid of him.
“That’s because you’re not looking close enough, asshole”, you bark back.
Faster that you are able to react he grabs your wrist, roughly forcing you to face him. Well, you definitely didn’t expect this. You dizzy mind races, trying to think about what to do next.
“Get your hands off me, idiot”, you shout at him, desperately trying to free yourself out of his iron grip.
“You’re a little drunk, huh? That blush on your cheeks, I can see you like that…”
You can feel his hand before he even speaks a word, his sheer presence making time stand still for a moment. This man will hope he never stepped into that bar tonight.
“You’re touching something that’s mine.”
His voice might sound calm to an unexperienced listener, but you know all too well that he’s cooking on the inside. If there’s something your boyfriend hates more than anything else it is men approaching, let alone touching you.
“Sorry, didn’t read your name on her”, the man replies with a sly grin.
Oh, wrong answer. Definitely wrong answer. Satoru’s grip around your waist tightens, pressing you even closer to himself.
“I won’t repeat myself. Get your dirty hands off her right now or you’ll regret it.”
But even though you kind of enjoy the way your boyfriend stands up for you, you’ve seen enough. It is time to take matters into your very own hands.
“Don’t worry babe. I’ve got this”, you mumble into your boyfriend’s ear.
Violence isn’t a solution. No, it would be a bad idea to slap him. After all, he isn’t worth getting entangled with the police or getting your knuckles bruised.
Fuck it.
With a swift motion of your fist, you knock the man in front of you off his feet, nose instantly bursting out in blood.
“Next time think carefully about who you’re harassing, asshole”, you spit at him, pressing your heel into his cheek before walking away with Satoru right by your side.
“Nice blow handsome”, he comments, guiding you out of the bar as if nothing happened.
“I’m kinda proud, didn’t thought I had this in me after four cocktails”, you reply with a satisfied grin.
The cool air outside caresses your heated face gently. To be honest, you have enough of partying. All you want to do is going home now. After all, you are still on a mission…
“Babe, are you okay with leaving?”, you question, wrapping your arms around his back.
“To do what?”, he teases you, placing his hands just a few inches over your butt.
You know exactly what he’s up to, that he wants to make you blush. But after a few drinks, you aren’t that reserved anymore.
“To get myself laid on your couch while moaning your name of course”, you response sweetly.
Fuck, Satoru can feel something twitch inside his pants, begging him to take you home right here on the spot. Desperately he wraps his arm around you, caressing your face with a bunch of kisses.
“You’re mine”, he breathes against your forehead, hands roaming all over your body.
“Yours alone”, you confirm.
“No matter who else wants you.”
“I only want you…”
“That’s what I wanna hear. Now let’s ride home, shall we?”
“How about me riding you in the car though?”
Satoru grabs your hands, hastily dragging you to his car.
“You don’t have to say that twice…”

Steve very rarely gets sick. He prides himself on it.
But when Eddie spent three days in a row in bed with a fever, puking every time he got up, and coughing everywhere he could reach, Steve had no choice but to stay and take care of him. Which meant he spent three days in direct contact with whatever virus decided to leave Eddie bedridden.
Halfway through his shift at Family Video, he turned to Robin and said he was going to pass out.
She didn’t believe him, laughed it off like he was being dramatic. “You’ve been hanging around Eddie too much lately.”
So when he passed out five seconds later, she panicked. He opened his eyes to her frantically trying to move him onto his side.
“Robs, ‘s not a seizure.”
“Right, but what if you puke?”
“I’m just dehydrated.”
He wasn’t just dehydrated.
He was dehydrated and feverish and exhausted.
He was sick.
Robin called Eddie to come pick him up, rambling nervously over the phone about his symptoms. Steve couldn’t hear the other side of the conversation, but he knew Eddie was probably laughing at the situation.
“He’ll be here to get you in 10 minutes. Can you please not pass out again because I don’t think I can handle it.”
“Sure, I’ll just tell my brain to hold off until Eddie’s here.”
“Thanks.”
Steve rolled his eyes as he settled on the floor behind the counter. Robin wouldn’t let him stand up again in case he fell and hit his head, which was actually probably a smart move.
When Eddie arrived, he took one look at Steve on the floor and sighed, shaking his head in disappointment.
“I warned you, Stevie! I said ‘you’re gonna get sick, you shouldn’t stay’ and what did you do? Mommed yourself right into the flu.”
Steve didn’t dignify that with an answer, mostly because it would take too much energy to give one. He stood on shaking legs and made his way to the door.
He felt so weak, he barely registered when his knees started to buckle. Strong arms wrapped around him from behind and held him up.
“Jesus, Steve. Were you feeling this bad when you left home?”
Steve shook his head and let out an embarrassing whine. His head was throbbing, a dull ache set in shortly after he got to work, and only got worse after he passed out.
“Can you make it to the van or do you need me to carry you?”
“I can make it, just…help?”
Eddie kept an arm wrapped around Steve’s waist, supporting most of his weight as they walked to his van. He opened the passenger side door and helped Steve get seated and as comfortable as possible.
Steve let out another small whine when he realized he would have to move to buckle himself in.
“What’s wrong?”
Eddie was so nice. Maybe he could buckle him.
“Belt?”
Eddie wordlessly reached for the belt and buckled Steve in, his hair brushing along Steve’s cheek and chest as he pulled away.
Steve repressed another whine, though for a different reason, when Eddie’s hand brushed against his thigh.
His thighs were sensitive, even in jeans. Sue him.
Steve nodded off during the drive to his house, barely aware of Eddie singing along to something on the radio.
When they arrived, Eddie unbuckled Steve’s seatbelt and helped him out of the van. He was saying something to Steve, but his brain wasn’t processing any of it.
He could barely keep his eyes open while Eddie got him upstairs and into bed.
He could feel Eddie’s rough hands gently pulling off his jeans and shirt, but couldn’t offer much help.
Passing out really did a number on him.
“Yeah, I think it did.”
Oh. Steve said that out loud. Interesting.
“You don’t do anything halfway, do you? Get sick and it’s like your brain’s melted out your ears.”
Steve let out a giggle before relaxing against his pillow.
Eddie started to tuck him in, pulling his covers up to his chin and brushing a piece of hair away from his face.
“I’m gonna get you some water. You hungry?”
Steve felt his stomach turn at just the thought of food touching his mouth. He used all of his remaining energy to shake his head.
“Be right back, Stevie.”
**********
When Steve opened his eyes again, it was too dark to even recognize his own bed. It’s been so long since he slept with no light, he felt disoriented and scared that the power had gone out.
Just as he was struggling to sit up, he heard a grumble from the floor followed by a groan.
“It’s okay, Stevie. I’ll get the light.”
Before Steve could process who the voice belonged to, his bedside lamp turned on and covered him in a golden glow.
Eddie.
The room started spinning around him before he could say anything. He closed his eyes to avoid the disorientation, but it only made it worse.
“Open your eyes, sweetheart. I’ve got ya.”
And he did. Eddie’s arms were wrapping around Steve and pulling him against his chest, solidifying his presence in one place despite everything else in the room moving.
Steve melted into Eddie, breathing in the faint leather and smoke smell that never failed to make him feel safe.
“You just have no filter when you’re sick, huh?”
Eddie laughed softly, brushing his lips against the top of Steve’s head.
Steve didn’t give a response, not able to actually produce words when he wants to, apparently.
“You’re burning up. I got some Tylenol for you while you slept. You should take some now and try to rest.”
“Stay?”
Eddie didn’t respond, just moved to grab the water from the table and hand it to Steve. He watched as he took the Tylenol, telling him he did a good job before putting the water back on the table.
Just as Steve settled against Eddie’s chest again, he was moved away by strong hands.
The whimper he let out stopped Eddie in his tracks.
“Are you in pain? Robin said your migraines get so bad sometimes you can’t move. Is that happening?”
Steve shook his head, immediately regretting doing so when the room started spinning again.
“Stay.”
It only took a moment for Eddie to adjust them both so they could lay down together. Steve wasted no time in curling into Eddie’s side, and Eddie’s hand found it’s way to Steve’s hair.
His fingers gently pulled through some of the tangles, smiling to himself when Steve couldn’t hold back a shiver.
“Feel okay?”
“Mhm.”
“Can’t believe you let me get you sick.”
“‘S worth it.”
“You’re ridiculous. Go to sleep. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
“Promise?”
Eddie only hesitated a moment before dropping a kiss to Steve’s forehead.
“Promise.”
They hadn’t acknowledged the way Steve had acted when taking care of Eddie. They hadn’t talked about the cuddling and small kisses to his hair or cheek or nose. They hadn’t even been around each other since Eddie was feeling better.
But this felt like a turning point - no more ignoring the way they felt about each other. If Eddie was reading things right, Steve wasn’t just like this because he was sick and slightly delusional.
They’d have a talk when he was better, but for now, Eddie let Steve suction himself to his side and take the comfort he needed.

She Don’t Wanna Marry Me
Tumblr media
Part 4
16 Years Old
“Hey Y/N!” A familiar blonde ran up to you.
“Oh hey Jessie what’s up?” You crossed your arms as you spoke to the girl.
Lorraine quietly stood next to you as your walk home was interrupted.
“Nothin much.” The girl
Giggled twirling her hair. “I just wanted to know if you’d want to go to the Sadie Hawkins dance with me?”
Lorraine’s jaw clenched as she watched your face. She couldn’t tell if you were interested by the way you kept your expression smooth.
“I appreciate the offer Jessie but someone already asked me.”
Both girls eyes widened surprised before Jessie smirked her shy demeanor gone.
“Well I can promise you an extra good time if you go with me.” Her hand went to graze your arm with its fingernails making Lorraine scoff. You glance at the girl offering Jessie a short nod before you led the small brunette on the path home.
Once she was out of ear shot Lorraine let loose.
“Skank.” You barked out a laugh making the girl glare at you.
You raise your hands up in surrender.
“Hey what did I do? I completely agree with you.” Lorraine’s eyebrows furrowed.
You chuckle softly shaking your head.
“You really think I’ll let jezebel take me to the dance?” Lorraine shrugged her feet kicking a small rock as she refused to meet your eyes.
“Well if not her then what about the other girl that asked you?”
You shook your head.
“I turned her down told her I was planning on asking someone else.”
Shiny brown eyes met yours.
“Who?” She asked voice soft and curious as she bit her lip.
“I-“
“LORRAINE!” You let out a heavy sigh as Douchebag Danny came running up to the two of you.
The girl beside you shifted her attention to the boy running towards you. The moment gone the minute he’d stood in front of her.
“Hey..” he huffed trying to catch his breath. Hands on his knees as he bent over feeling as if his lungs were gonna collapse. “Hey.”
Lorraine giggled brushing a piece of her hair back. You felt your jaw clench knowing the tell tale sign of Lorraine crushing on someone.
“Hey Daniel, are you ok?”
The boy scoffed standing up straight still breathing heavily.
“Psshhh yeah I’m fine, better than fine actually I’m great.”
You rolled your eyes as you felt yourself almost puke.
“I heard a rumor that you were gonna ask me to the dance coming up.” Your eyes shot to the girl in question as she blushed, more nervous giggles and hair twirling as she looked up at the boy doe eyed.
“Maybe.” Pearly white teeth grinned at her.
“Well maybe I would say yes.” The girl squared her shoulders and stood taller.
“Will you go to the dance with me?”
“I’d love to go with you.”
You walk ahead giving the two space as they continued to talk. Douchebag following you as he offered to walk her home.
“So I’ll see you tomorrow?” You didn’t look but knew Lorraine was already telling the boy yes.
You walked into the kitchen rubbing daddy’s shoulder as he read a newspaper and gave mama a kiss on the cheek.
“Hey baby how was school?” You shrug grabbing an apple.
“It was ok I’m not that hungry right now is it ok if I just go lay down?” The two looked to you concerned but were quickly interrupted by a squealing Lorraine.
“I got a date to Sadie Hawkins.” Her mom laughed clapping a bit before kissing her daughters cheeks.
“That’s great baby. We’ll go dress shopping this weekend ok?” The girl nodded enthusiastic as her father grunted.
“And what little punk thinks he’s good enough for my Rainey?” The girl almost rolled her eyes at her fathers protective nature. You remained quiet as your grip on the apple tightened and the slight flexing of your jaw increase. Slowly making your way to your room as you wanted to avoid any further talk of the dance.
“Daniel Smith down the street.”
He huffed. “Isn’t he a little old for you?”
“He’s 17 daddy.”
“Oh stop it.” She hit her husband. “He’s a sweet boy his mother and I are in the same book club and he always lends a hand when she needs it.”
“Yeah all boys are sweet at first then they go looking for one thing and the minute they get it-“
“Stop while you’re ahead.” Mrs. Day’s tone was calm but the threat behind her words gave little sense of peace.
His shoulders sagged before he sat up straight again turning to his daughter.
“I want to meet him before you leave and he better have you home by 11.” The girl clapped hugging her father before helping her mother set the table. She noticed only three plates being taken out.
“Is someone not eating?”
“Y/n said she wasn’t too hungry. I’ll leave her a plate in the microwave.” As the trio ate her father broke the silence.
“So did anyone ask her to the dance?”
Lorraine scoffed. “Yeah, the town tramp.”
Her father choked mid bite a hearty laugh following.
“Damn it Raine.”
“Lorraine.” Her mother scolded making the girl shrug at the mixed reactions.
“It’s true. She did say someone else asked but it wasn’t who she wanted to take.”
“Did she ever say who it was?” Lorraine shrugged.
“No idea.”
The next day you were more quiet than usual and as you went to leave, Mrs.Day stopped you.
“Aren’t you gonna wait for Lorraine?”
You shook your head.
“Douc-Daniels gonna get her.”
She nodded. “Would you want me to take you?”
You shook your head already one foot out the door. “I like the walk.”
As you were leaving you almost slammed into the idiot with nice hair.
“Oh hey Y/n is Lori ready?”
You felt your eyebrows scrunch together. Lori?
You shook your head rushing past him.
“Don’t know but I gotta get going.”
This was last week, the dance was in a few days and all but one Day noticed your strange behavior. You were listening to music when Mrs.Day knocked on your door.
“Hey sweetie.” You put your phone down slowly taking off your headphones confused.
“Everything ok?” Mama laughed sitting next to you on your mattress.
“I should be asking you that darlin you’ve been quiet and we haven’t seen much of you.” You shrug.
“Just been busy.” The woman smirked.
“Avoiding Lorraine?” You flush slightly rubbing your neck.
“I’m guessing she was who you wanted to ask to the dance.” You stare slightly embarrassed as you nod.
She gently placed a hand on your cheek brushing some hair back from your face.
“I’m sorry baby.” You shrug again. “But I think you shouldn’t mope around.”
“You’re not mad at me for liking Lorraine?”
The older woman laughed.
“Baby if I got mad at you for that I would’ve hated you since we met.”
You stay silent. “How about we go get you something nice for the dance?”
You shook your head. “I think I’ll pass.”
She nodded as she stood going to her bathroom brushing her teeth as she got ready for bed.
Her husband resting his chin on her shoulder.
“Y/n just realized she likes Raine.” Mr.Day laughed.
“That poor kids been in love with her since they met, we just gotta wait to see if Rainey will catch up.” Her eyebrows shot up.
“You knew?!” He laughed nodding.
“I may not be the sharpest tool
in the kit but I know love struck when I see it.”
“I give it 2 years before they get together.” Her husband grinned.
“I think it’ll take longer than that I give it 5.”
22 Years Old
Mr.Day was quiet as he brushed his teeth, his wife next to him rubbing lotion into her skin.
“Guess we both lost that bet huh?”
Mr.Day chuckled. “I got until the end of this year but yes it’s looking like we were wrong.”
Mrs.Day sighed.
“Is it our fault?”
“Of course not! We can’t dictate her life. It’s better to wait for the right thing then to race for the wrong thing.” She shook her head.
“She’s getting married.”
“She’s engaged, she ain’t married there’s still time for her to figure out what her heart wants.”
“And what if it’s Rj?” At this Mr.Day scoffed.
“Yeah and what if pigs fly?” The back of her hand slapped his shoulder.
“Im serious.”
“And I am too darlin’. Look Raine may take some time but I think a part of her knows RJ ain’t right for her. Im hoping a part of her also knows that while she may not love Y/n she deserves someone who would love her like Y/N would.”
They stayed quiet until Mr.Day broke the silence again laughing.
“You remember Daniel?” His wife finally cracked a smile.
“Such a sweet boy.” Mr.Day laughed.
At the dance she had only talked about you and how she wished you were there with her. Daniel had tried to steer her concentration to them but ended up taking her home early. Their “first kiss” decent but no fireworks. The dates were nice but she’d find herself wishing she were hanging out with you instead. They had tried, going bowling, grabbing pizza, even small walks in the park. This went on for months before Lorraine had decided to end it. She didn’t feel the connection she yearned for.
Lorraine had come in crying she hadn’t stopped to talk to her parents she just ran up to your room pouncing on you the moment she went through the door. Her arms slung around your neck as hot tears met your skin. She was so upset she couldn’t speak. You consoled her and let her take your bed before you snuck out knocking on the boys door and punching him with no explanation.
“I was the one who taught her to punch.” Mr. Day grinned proudly as his wife hit him once again.
Back at your apartment, you had just finished washing up when you heard a sharp knock at your door. You went to open the door and found Lorraine on the other side.
“Raine?”
“So an apartment above the shop is better than our home?”
“What? No I-“
“Did you leave because you didn’t want them to catch you sneaking in girls?”
“What?! Raine-“ the girl stumbled into you. Big baby browns locking onto yours as soft hands stroked your face.
“Or is it because you hate me?” You watched as a light shimmer of tears lined her eyelids.
You grabbed her chin firmly making her breath hitch.
“Now that’s a damn lie Lorraine I could never hate you.” You sniffed and almost gagged at the familiar scent.
“Are you drunk?” Her body sagged against you her head hitting your shoulder as she nodded.
“And you drove here?!” She shook her head.
“I had Bobby drop me off.”
You sighed, picking the girl up bridal style.
She laughed arms going around your neck as she did so.
“You’re my best friend.” You laid her gently in your bed as you went to grab some extra blankets.
“I know.”
“I miss you.”
“I know.”
“I love you.” You stop, looking at her cheesy grin knowing she doesn’t mean it the way you want her to.
It’s only when her soft snoring hits your ears that you realize she’s fallen asleep.
“I love you so much more.” You place a soft kiss on her forehead as you go to sleep in the couch.
Once you throw yourself down you raise one arm behind your head, eyes staring at nothing as you wonder what you’ll do when she marries him.

Chapter 10- Barracuda Mike
Series masterlist
Warnings: small mention of vomit, mentions of alcohol, pretty much it. Not a whole lotta rafe
Tumblr media
“Jesus- why’d we even take her with us?” John B asked JJ as they watched you down yet another drink.
“That- that was my last one, okay?!” You defended, crushing the can and rolling your eyes.“And let’s face it, I’m smarter than you two idiots.” You pointed at them.
“You dropped out.” JJ retorted.
“Okay, I never said I was book smart. Street smart.” You shrugged. “You might know calculus but what use is that if you don’t know how to get out of a 2000 dollar debt with a drug dealer? Or how to tell which one of your friends is talking shit behind your back? I’m extremely smart.”
“Wh- you know what, nevermind.” John b mumbled to himself. “Can we please get back on topic?” He asked you, you nodding and sitting up now with a sigh.

“You actually think he’s gonna get arrested?” Kiara asked Sarah.
“He can’t get arrested. Not now. If he’s locked up, he can’t help his dad. I have to fix this. Can you give me a ride to Toppers? Please?”
“You don’t think this plan could make things worse?”
“I don’t know. And I don’t know what’s gonna happen with me and John B, but what I do know is I can’t just sit by and watch him get arrested while his dad’s abducted. I have to try.”

The next morning, JB rung the bell on the yard, you and jj stirring at the sound. You groaned, covering your face from the light that came through.
“Shit.” You mumbled, feeling a massive hangover. Your head pounded.
John B sighed, listening to nothing but the seagulls squawking.
“It’s something about the dudes face, you know? Like the whole no hard feelings, bro, you know what I’m saying?” John B spoke to you both, coming across on a skateboard.
“No hard feelings. It’s kinda hard not to have hard feelings about that.”
“He’s a dick, we all know this.” You mumbled to him. “Is there like some Tylenol or something? I’m dying here.”
“Yeah, in the medicine cabinet.” JB nodded over to it. You stood up, stumbling inside and to the bathroom. They watched you go inside, John b turning back to JJ.
“What’s her deal?” John B asked
JJ shrugged. “Hell if I know. She’s been a fucking wreck recently.” He paused.
“Well, I mean she’s taken care of Luke for like her whole life, now he’s gone. I’m sure that’s probably most of it.” John B shrugged.
“Nah, something seems off.” JJ mumbled. “Like she’s hiding something. She doesn’t drink like that unless she is.”
“Well, do you really think she can help us when she’s like that?” John B asked him.
“Yeah. I mean, you don’t have to like her but you gotta admit, she is one hell of a problem solver. And a fighter.” JJ paused.
“Like.. oh, oh, remember how she got you outta that detention?” Jj snapped his fingers. “And how she beat up those kids who pulled out their switchblade on you?”
John B laughed at the memory. “Dude, I had the biggest crush on her then.”
“Oh, we know. You would invite her over to the Chateau all red faced, stuttering and shit.” He laughed along.
Once the laughter died down, John B spoke up again. “Is she dead or something in there?”
“Nah, she’s probably puking her brains out right now.”
“Should we.. check?”
“Alright.” JJ stood up, opening the door and leaning in as he shouted into the Chateau.
“Are you dead?!”
“No I’m not fucking d-“ you shouted back, before being cut off with a groan and putting your face back by the toilet bowl.
“Yeah. Puking.” JJ spoke, going into the chateau, John B following.
“Well.. anyways, I was thinking… passports. We don’t have ‘em.” John B switched up the topic, both boys walking to the kitchen.
You got out of the bathroom.
“Therefore we can’t fly commercial. We need other ideas.”
“Fake passports?” You suggested. “I know a guy.”
“It’s a good idea but we don’t have the time for that.” John B told you, opening the fridge.
“Okay, well, don’t you got the money that you took from Portis?”
“I have that to my dad.”
“So then what about a boat?” JJ suggested. John B sniffed some milk, coughing and putting it back in the fridge, most definitely expired.
“If we get a boat, maybe we could get down there ‘cause the HMS… yeah. You know about the HMS.” JJ went into the fridge now, “Oh! Limbrey, Limbrey has a boat! What if we took that one?”
“Yeah, no. She took that back, and the HMS is not gonna make it down to the Port of Spain, so out on the boats.”
You sat on top of the counter, grabbing a glass and using the faucet.
“So..” you paused, taking a sip of water. “We don’t got any money, and we also don’t have a boat that can make it down to South America.”
“Great.”
“Actually, I might know a guy. I’m onto something…” JJ mumbled.
You furrowed your eyebrows hearing the sound of a truck pull up. You looked outside.
“Uh-oh.” John B spoke, you looking at him as you both crouched behind the cabinets.
“You don’t start with uh oh, dude. You’re so negative-“ JJ spoke, still standing. You grabbed his arm, yanking him down.
“Get down, shoupe is right out front!” You whisper yelled to him.
“All right, John B.” He said from outside, all of you crawling and whisper yelling at each other
“Yoo-hoo! Anybody home? John B!”
“Go under there! Under there, right now.” You told them both, pointing to a small table.
They managed to hide themselves by uncomfortably managing to fit under. You couldn’t fit.
You panicked, jj motioning for you to hurry.
“I can’t fit with you two fatasses under there!” You whispered, desperately trying to find anything else. Shoupe began to walk closer and you were running out of time.
You glanced outside, making sure you weren’t in view as you stood up and ran as quickly as possible to the nearest room, hiding yourself under the bed.
“I know you’re in there!” Shoupe spoke, now in front of the door.
He knocked on the door, looking inside through the window.
“If he sees you, it’s game over.”
“I know, okay, J?”
“Don’t get that.”
“I know you can hear me in there.” He banged. “You need to come out and talk to me. It’ll be a whole lot worse if you don’t.” He sighed, finally walking away from the door.
“Okey-doke, have it your way! You know where you can find me.” He called out, getting in his car and starting the engine.
“All right, let’s peel.” John B spoke, both of them grunting and getting up from the table.
“Shit, JJ?” You shouted, coming from outside the bedroom.
“You guys alright?” You asked them,
“Yeah.” They both said in unison.
“All right, I got a plan, all right? Think it might work.” JJ said. “It’s a little sketchy, might not like it. But I think it’ll work.”
“No, no, no, no, wait, wait, what plan?” John B stopped him.
“If I tell you now when the plan is half baked, you’ll get all negative.”
“Look, I’d settle for a quarter baked plan.”
JJ mumbled over him, using a mocking voice. “Come on!”
“Don’t you dare make that noise at me.” John B rolled his eyes, both of you following JJ anyways.

“Hey.” Rafe spoke, a small smile on his face as Sofia woke up.
“So, is this place really all yours?” She asked him.
“More like lord of the manor shit.”
She laughed at him, as he stepped outside, looking at the mess the party had left.
He looked over, his mind being flooded with the memory of you storming over there yesterday. A part of him hoped it had ended differently and you would give in.
But he knew you weren’t like that, he knew you were stubborn when it came to these things.
What’s worse is that his suspicions about the pogues knowing he had melted the cross down was confirmed when you came over.
Rafe stormed over to where he knew his dad was, his mind also going to a conversation he had with Barry. “It’s you or your dad.”
“I’m taking care of business. I’m laying groundwork, I’m making connections, I’m trying to plant my flag here, okay? So you just need to go back to your island where it’s safe, and you need to stop jamming me up, okay?”
Ward stood up, sighing at his son.
“If you get caught here, it ruins everything.”
“I’d figured you’d know where to find me, of all people.” He chuckled. “I’m glad you did. I think it’s clear from what happened yesterday… I was right. You’re on a very bad path, Rafe.”
“Your opinion, not mine. Okay? I’m good.”
“You’re making the same mistakes again and again, the same ones I did, okay?”
“Right..”
“So I’m gonna help you, son. I decided to make some changes.”
“What are those..?” Rafe asked him.
“I’m taking control of the company away from you.”
Rafe paused. “What?”
“You’re not in charge anymore, Rafe.”
“What are you saying?”
“My attorneys found a more recent document that left control to Rose.”
Rafe exhaled, nodding. “Rose?”
“Yeah. You didn’t think I was gonna give up complete control, did you, Rafe? Not be able to tap the rudder a little bit? I’m very generous with my children.”
Rafes fists clenched, itching to punch his father at the moment. “Oh, are you?”
“But I’m not a complete fool.”
⋆˚✿˖° 𐙚 ₊ ⊹ ♡
“Oh, perfect, Rockfish.”
“Hey, I remember bashing a beer bottle over some dude here.” You reminisced, smile on your face.
“There’s a guy here, that’s always here, moves a lot of weight. My dad worked for him.”
“No, you don’t mean Barracuda Mike? That asshat?!” You exclaimed, jumping out the car with JJ.
“Come on, there’s gotta be a better option than this.” John B said, knowing Barracuda Mike.
“Oh, you know what? There is a better option, except there’s not. All right, dude? Seriously, we don’t have a whole lot of time and your dad needs help right now and this guy is gonna be the key to getting down to South America ASAP.”
“Let me do the talking, okay?”
You and John B exchanged looks, watching Jj walk up to him. You both followed him.
“Yo, Mike!” Mike turned around at Jjs voice. “Yo! You remember me, right? You know it, it’s on the tip of your tongue.. J-“
“Luke’s son!” He put the knife in the board. “And daughter.” He nodded to you.
“Uh, also go by JJ, but uhm, that’s y/n, and this is our good friend John B.”
“Routledge.”
“In the flesh. Yep.”
“Heard stories about you three, especially you.” He pointed at you. You gave him a small salute and smile.
“Sounds about right.” You shrugged.
“I mean, he’s a stone cold cop k… killer..”JJ paused, you looking over to your side to see a very tall and large man standing menacingly beside you.
“No, I’m not.”
“Mike, I’m gonna be honest about why we’re here, okay? Since my darling little brother can’t seem to speak, we are in a little bit of trouble, and we need to get down to South America, if that’s uh-“ you spoke, before he cut you off.
“I’m sorry, slick, but I done sold the travel agency.”
You laughed, looking down and back at him.
“I mean, we’re not looking for some free handout here, alright? Name- name a price, you got it.” You shrugged. “We just need to parley, in um, private, if that’s cool with you.”
John B looked over, before you and JJ could even more.
“Just stay here, just stay here.” JJ mumbled to him.
“No you’re not gonna do this.” He whispered, “you’re not gonna leave me he-“
JJ walked into the large man. “Excuse you! All right.” He walked out.
You followed, looking at the man and saying “sorry for him. He’s a bit slow.” And walking outside with them.
You and JJ walked onto the dock, with Mike.
“Look, I know you got planes comin’ in with bales of weed from South America, they need to be unloaded, right? That’s what my dad did for you, and I’ve done it quite a few times, I can do it for you, Mike,” you pointed to yourself and to him.
“He would come home and brag about how much he made one night, which was 10k right? That’s a shit ton of money, we’re willing to do it for free.” You told him.
He scoffed, “nothings free, kid.”
“I live by that one too, all right? So, I’ll be honest, all we want is just some space in the cargo hold when you make your next trip down there. That’s all I want.”
“You just want a ride.”
“Just want a ride in that cargo hold. And then in exchange you get three sets of free hands, and another 20k in your pocket, sounds like a win to me.” You laughed. “What do you say?”
“5:30.” He called out.
“5:30, tonight, yes sir! We’ll see you!” You told him, walking back to JB.
“Fuck, I’m back. Missed this shit.” You said with a smile, JJ and you doing a handshake you made up as kids as you walked.
“Yeah, you are.” He exclaimed.
“Nice to meet you guys!” You waved bye to them as JJ grabbed John B, you guys leaving to the Twinkie.
“So I convinced him to get us a ride, but we have to do something.”
“Okay, what do we gotta do?” John B asked.
“Just a lil’ something.” JJ shrugged.
“A little something?”
“Yeah..”
“Every time you say a little something it’s never a little something.”
“John B, it’s literally the easiest job in the world, bro.” JJ told him, stopping in his tracks.
John B groaned.
“We just unload it. You know what they do on planes? You know on delta and united when they take the bags off of the-“
“Yes- yes.”
“That’s what we’re doing, okay? Once we do that we punch our tickets, go on to South America, sipping on piña coladas.”
“Shit, that sounds good right about now.” You murmured.
“Except you, no more alcohol for you.” JJ pointed to you.
“Oh, cmon! That’s not fair, you’re not my dad.”
“Yeah, well, you’re driving.” He threw the keys at you, you groaned and got into the drivers seat.

Matt would fuck you until you’re drooling and crying and dumb oh my god it comes in stages right? Like first you’re whimpering and crying and saying it’s too much and he just slaps whatever’s nearest on your body and tells you you’re fine, then you’re bout near goddamn stupid on his cock, he’s saying “you like that, don’t you? Tell me how much you love my cock.” And all you can do is nod and slur something about loving it, to which he’s sneering and laughing at you and calling you fucking dumb, and the combination of him thrusting directly into your diaphragm with him being so mean has you drooling and pawing at him to try and get a kiss or a reassuring touch or something!!! And he’s SICK so he sees you all pliant and soft and thinks that’s his sign to fold you in half and knock you up and I can’t I can’t I can’t I need REST

hi!! i love your work and i was wondering if you could make a fic about you going with the triplets to an amusement park?? it was nicks idea to get onto a huge upside down roller coaster and when you get onto a ride nick and chris decide to sit next to each other and you and matt have to sit together and when you get super anxious you grab his hand for comfort before going on a huge loop and matt thinks it’s just super cute??❤️
loop ⮕ m.s.
Tumblr media
word count: 885
warnings: anxiety, nerves, swearing, roller coasters
summary: nick had the bright idea to get on the biggest rollercoaster you’d ever seen, and your nerves got the best of you
a/n: i love this, keep the requests coming !! i’m having so much fun bringing these stories to life !!!
everything written is completely fictional. the people i write for are written with characteristics and mannerisms that i made for them, this is in no way depicting what would actually happen in real life.
You’d only been at the fair for half an hour, and Nick was already on one.
“You guys, we have to ride the Firecracker.” He insisted, Chris immediately shaking his head.
“Abso-fuckin-lutely not, I’m not getting on that thing.” He said, Nick puckering his bottom lip as you watched them with an amused smile.
“Aww, are you scared? Do you need me to hold your hand?” Nick teased, Chris rolling his eyes and shoving Nick’s shoulder.
Matt looked at you completely unamused, a huff of a laugh leaving your lips. “They’re ridiculous.” He said, the both of you following behind them as they argued with one another, the four of you stepping into line for the roller coaster. You’d never been a fan of these types of rides, considering you’d warily watched other people on the ride screaming when the roller coaster stopped for way too long before resuming.
The four of you passed the metal gate, showing the man your wrist bands before filing onto the roller coaster. Nick and Chris were sitting next to each other in front of you still bickering back and forth, Matt sitting next to you and immediately strapping himself in. Your nerves were going crazy, and you couldn’t tell if it was fear or adrenaline.
“I’m honestly not looking forward to this.” You said, Matt looking over at you.
He shrugged his shoulders and helped you pull the bar down. “I think it’ll be fine. Chris will more than likely be screaming like a little girl, so just focus on that.” He suggested, chuckling to himself. You smiled at him as the operator came by and locked the bar into place, the smile not quite reaching your eyes. You watched the operator press a few buttons on his panel and pull a lever, your stomach dropping the moment the coaster jerked forward.
“Oh, fuck.” You whispered, your back pressed tightly against the back of your chair as it picked up speed. Matt laughed from beside you, his hands holding onto the pull bar.
The cart sped up with each curve it went around, your heart racing as it climbed the hill.
“If you don’t breathe, you’ll pass out.” Matt teased you, a humorless laugh leaving your lips as the cart reached the peak, your heart nearly stopping as it paused.
You could hear Chris yelling something at Nick, but before Nick could reply, the coaster flew downward. You screeched, Matt’s laughter ringing through your ears as the wind blew your hair. You wanted desperately to close your eyes, but you knew if you kept them closed you would throw up from not expecting the motion.
The cart was quickly approaching the loop, and your heart was pounding as you felt your hair start to lift from your shoulders. Out of instinct, you reached for Matt, your hand gripping his wrist tightly. When the cart froze upside down, you couldn’t stop yourself from looking up—well, down. The ground began swirling below you, all of the blood rushing to your head completely distracting you from the feeling of Matt removing your hand from his wrist and entwining your fingers with his.
“Oh my God, oh my God, oh my fucking God, I’m gonna fucking puke.” You rambled, Matt laughing boisterously next to you.
“Just breathe, Y/n. It’ll be over soon.” He comforted you, a laugh leaving his lips when your grip tightened on his hand as the cart started moving again. You were right side up again, your stomach calming down as the coaster flew past a few more curves and hills and your hand shaking in Matt’s as the roller coaster finally came to a stop.
Matt squeezed your hand lightly before you let go, embarrassment flooding your body as you got yourself out of the cart as fast as you could and rushed down the stairs. You turned around, seeing Nick and Chris leaning on each other, laughing hard enough to border on hysterical. Matt was following behind them, an amused smile on his face as he shook his head.
“Y/n, you’re fucking face!” Chris said, his voice high in pitch from lack of air, Nick’s boisterous laugh nearly knocking the two of them over.
Matt raised his eyebrows when he finally reached you, his gaze meeting Chris and Nick’s shaking bodies before he opened his mouth to speak.
“Chris, don’t act like you weren’t screaming at the top of your lungs on the hill. I’m surprised you didn’t call out for Mom.” Chris’ laughter stopped immediately, Nick slapping his hand over his mouth. You didn’t mind the teasing, especially since everything was over and done with.
“That’s true.” Nick said, Chris looking at Nick completely bewildered.
“Nick, your fingernails left indents in my fucking arm, I don’t want to hear it.”

“Hey, sorry for like, breaking your hand on the roller coaster.” You said, Matt glancing over and meeting your eyes. He smiled and shrugged, looking down and entwining his fingers with yours.
“I didn’t mind, you can hold my hand any time.”
