Watch the Ogar movie this weekend. Inspiring and offered very good insight into what a former high level athlete can do when it seems everything is taken away from them. Fellow Canadian @Stouty08 was also featured in the movie. He is one of the owners of @Crossfit_Indestri and founder of @WheelWOD. A great resource if anyone has questions about coaching an adaptive athlete. @Crossfit is getting damn good at producing very high quality movies. I'm impressed. A year or go we introduced you to our friend @kevinogar who had just been involved in a freak lifting accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. A year later Kevin is doing leg less rope climbs and lighting pretty much every weight in the gym. He is the one that reminds us there really are no excuses. #beastmode #ogarstrong

I've been lazy this past week and it made itself very apparent tonight. I finished my workout an hour and a half ago and I still feel like I could barf.
We warmed up with PVC snatches. My technique is definitely getting better, which is good.聽
The strength portion started with Annie and fuck man, I moved so slow through the sit ups. In 5 minutes, I was only able to make it through to 35 sit ups in the 40 round. I did get more double unders tonight than I've ever gotten, so that was exciting. Now I just need to figure out how to string them together. I still am only snatching 35 pounds. Even though my technique is improving, I still don't feel like I'm getting stronger. I need to chat with Coach about that.
The WOD tonight was just, dear god, the worst. Excessive amounts of burpees always makes me want to die. And then combining the pull up move with it was killer. Since I don't have unbanded pull ups, I put an 18" box under the rig and did jumping pull ups. Coach recommended doing 10 at a time and then taking a 20 second break. I think most of my breaks turned into 30 second breaks. I just didn't want to do this workout and I was having a hard time keeping it together. The girls next to me were totally smoking me and as usual, I was the last one going. The entire class was rallied around me, which makes it impossible to quit. So with everyone watching and cheering me on, Coach asks how many I had left, and I had 11. But since everyone was watching, I didn't take a breather before my final 10. I really thought I was going to puke and/or pass out. I swear, it was the grace of God that got me through that workout, and I'm not even religious! My finishing time was 16:58.
The Ogar Strong shirts finally came in, and I was so jazzed about getting it that I had to wear it as soon as I got home.聽
Usually I've been rocking fruit/veggie smoothies post-WOD, but tonight I settled for a cup of cottage cheese and a cup of mango because I didn't quite have it in me to even use the damn blender.
Now I wait for Boston's FaceTime call so I can sleep. This body is wiped out!

14.3 is in the books. I'm happy with the result. Since my 1RM dead lift is at 280 right now, I knew that the round of 275 was going to be the wall for me. Got 76 reps. So I'll take it and look to get better from here. BUT, after the WOD I was able to get my very first ever unassisted pull-up! My chin barely got above the bar, but it did.
