In the alternate universe of Dead by Daylight, Shen Jiu and Cale are known to be the survivors who, unwittingly, act in a sacrificial manner, completely oblivious to their companions' concern for their own safety. Despite their reckless tendencies, they feel deeply offended when other team members suggest distraction tactics or personal sacrifice, especially if they find themselves in compromising situations during the game.
"Have they lost their minds?" Cale asked, his voice laden with disbelief and his eyes exuding serious disapproval towards their companions.
"What makes them think that risking their lives in such a way is a good idea?" Shen Jiu added, standing next to the redhead, raising an eyebrow in a questioning gesture. He crossed his arms over his chest, adopting the stance of a disappointed teacher in front of a group of mischievous students. "You can't just throw yourselves into action without thinking of the consequences"
Illyana, Penelope, and Rudbeckia were left blinking, astonished at the hypocrisy of the men before them.
'But you are the first to throw yourselves into danger without thinking twice!' Penelope had to bite her tongue to not say out loud what was screaming in her mind, maintaining an expression of regret while internally struggling with the urge to shake them into reason.
'Don't you remember that just two games ago you died in the most absurd way possible, trying to give us time to escape?' Illyana nodded in apparent agreement with the reprimand they were receiving, although inside she was torn between disbelief and the desire to hit them with the bat she had found to give them a 'gentle' reminder of their own recklessness.
'You're supposed to be the brightest strategists on the team! Where has this shared foolishness come from?' Rudbeckia, for her part, couldn't contain a groan of frustration, imagining herself tying both men with a rope and dragging them across the map until they managed to repair the generators and escape from the killer, thus avoiding the multiple heart attacks they caused her every time one of them threw themselves in front of the killer when the opportunity arose.

Thinking about og Rudbeckia again. Was Freya a kind person originally, or was snake like the one we know. Was og!Ruby bullied and harassed everyday too, with Freya pulling conniving tricks to isolate the original from everyone? Was the original Ruby more angry, more resentful of everything? Everyone expected her to act like a Borgia, did anyone believe in her at all?
Did she try to be good and kind, but Izek never listened to her like he does now in the current timeline? We know he loved her, but could the original Ruby ever really trust that love? She's used to being hit by the hand that also feeds her.
The original Ruby loved Izek, but didn't trust him. The original Izek loved Ruby, but didn't trust her.
If she can't be as good as the Omertas, if nothing she does will ever make her good in their eyes, why not embrace the ruthlessness and cruelty of the Borgias? If she fundamentally feels like she will never be embraced by heaven, why not willingly walk into hell? Absolution, salvation and redemption never came to her. Did she believe that Cesare robbed her of her purity? That because of his touches she was fundamentally damned, while he still got to be holy? The God she worships has rejected her, abandoned her. Did the crosses she wore burn her skin that she felt was tainted? Did the gazes from the holy statues and paintings felt all-too-knowing?
Ruby was damned and dirty, and Izek was good and moral. As much as she loved him, she must have hated him too. He could have saved her but he never tried too. How disgusting did she feel next to him, while he shined with goodness he never offered to her. He couldn't save her but he couldn't let her go. A man too much like his father.
Did she like Ellen? Were they friends? Ruby says she killed her, but was she telling the truth? Did she mourn her death? Or did she feel inferior? The beloved daughter and sister beloved by the dukedom, her position of the lady of the house stolen by a disgusting Borgia. Was Ellen frightened of her, the madness and despair in Ruby's eyes all too familiar of her mother's? Ellen would have always taken Freya's side, did she help her usurp Ruby's position? Did Ruby know Ellen could only be a false ally, their positions and personalities too different to be anything but threatening to the other?
We don't know anything about her either. She's only been a dream, a mirage.
Her dress is bright red and low cut. Did she twist Cesare's sin into herself? "I'm someone so desirable I can even tempt the son of the Pope." Would she rather be villain then victim? Someone that can even make holy men sin, so don't treat her lightly. The more she tried to protect herself, the more isolated she became.
Until the end, there wasn't a single person on her side.

I have something to say:
I’ve been reading this manhwa How to Get My Husband on My Side.
Tumblr media
I don’t know what to say about this manhwa, really. I’ve read 30+ chapters and it’s an emotional roller coaster for me. This made me cry and made me angry at the same time. At some point, I consider dropping this because of angst but I cannot. 😭
Tumblr media
The female lead is Rudbeckia de Borgia, the daughter of Pope Borgia. In her past life, she already suffered because of her adoptive family. And when she transmigrate in the novel (the OG!Ruby was a “villain”), her current life is not so different from her previous life, but she wanted to live a peaceful life. Her family is trash, except Enzo. Later, they married her to a man from an enemy kingdom. Her husband neglects her. The maids hate her. The nobles doesn’t like her very much because of her reputation. Basically, the majority not all of them of Britannia don’t like her very much but they don’t show it. Also, she has eating disorder and she’s traumatized from her two lives.
Tumblr media
Enter the male lead, Izek van Omerta. For now, this is my opinion of him: he’s a pretty boy but he’s a trash. He’s been cold and a neglecting husband to Rudbeckia since day 1. I hope he suffers from his actions.
I know, I know. From the spoilers that I’ve read, Izek seems to be not a bad guy but that doesn’t excuse his behaviour towards her. She’s already traumatized from both her lives and this guy and his family and the other nobles only made it worse.
I can’t forget that chapter where Rudbeckia was lost in the forest and he scolds her for seeking attention. Then there’s a time where she’s having a breakdown and she’s kneeling on the floor and Izek just screams at her. 🤬 WTF dude??
Just give Rudbeckia a break, will ya?!
What I wanted to say is:
I rather want Rudbeckia to stay away from that damn husband, sister-in-law, those infuriating siblings and that abusive family. I want her to stay with Popo and find someone better than Izek and live a happily ever after.
I hope her trashy “husband” will suffer, and also Freya. When I read the spoilers from the novel, it was disappointing because they did a lot of abuse to Ruby but were just forgiven and forgotten. She’s already suffering, y’all. 😭 THEY DESERVE TO FEEL MUCH MORE PAIN AND REGRET FOR EVERYTHING THEY PUT RUDBECKIA THROUGH.
I don’t care if Izek has good intentions. The way he’s raising his voice to Ruby when she’s already vulnerable, that’s not the way to speak to someone and pretend this person understand his arrogant and rash language.
Also, Izek’s reasoning is not acceptable to me. 😤😡 He claims that he cares for her, but it doesn’t justify on why he would just abandon her when she needed him the most.
UGHHHH. TRASH, ALL OF THEM.
Tumblr media
My conclusion:
The “monsters” has better manners and is smarter than these mofos.
Humans are the monsters than the actual “monsters”.
P.S. I want Ruby to have her happy ending.

Rudbeckia, the endearingly obsessive and clingy girlfriend, had a knack for turning every trial in the foggy realm of Dead by Daylight into a full-blown melodrama. Her target? The stunning, enigmatic Illyana, who was the epitome of calm and patience (Qualities that Rudbeckia seemed to lack entirely).
Picture this: The trial begins, and the Entity’s fog envelops the macabre landscape. The generators hum ominously, and the survivors scatter like startled rabbits. But not Rudbeckia. Oh no, she’s too busy mooning over Illyana, her "precious, spectacular, and drop-dead gorgeous" girlfriend (Yes, those are Rudbeckia’s actual words. She’s not one for subtlety).
Now, Shen Jiu and Penelope—bless their souls—have the unenviable task of keeping Rudbeckia from going full-on apocalyptic. You see, when Illyana is in danger, Rudbeckia transforms into a Shakespearean tragedy waiting to happen. Her battle cry? "I shall reduce this realm to ashes, slay all who dare harm Lyna, and then dramatically end my own existence!" (She’s got the flair for drama, that one).
But wait, there’s more! Enter Cale, the resident idiot friend. He’s the guy who inexplicably cheers Rudbeckia on. Why? Because he secretly enjoys watching her unravel. It’s like reality TV, but with more blood and less dignity. Cale’s motto: "When life gives you a deranged girlfriend, grab some popcorn and enjoy the chaos".
And chaos there is. Rudbeckia loses her composure whenever an actual killer—especially Michael Myers—dares to breathe within a five-mile radius of Illyana. It’s as if Rudbeckia’s sanity meter drops faster than a survivor vaulting a pallet (Spoiler alert: She usually ends up dying in hilariously stupid ways because she insists on confronting these killers. Yes, even her ex-brother Myers, who seems to harbor a grudge against Illyana. But Rudbeckia? She’s convinced Myers is just trying to woo her beautiful Lyna. Talk about sibling rivalry).
Meanwhile, Illyana remains the serene lighthouse in the storm. When Rudbeckia inevitably bites the dust (Again), they both wake up in the Entity’s cozy cabin. Illyana never contradicts her lovable lunatic of a girlfriend. Instead, she showers Rudbeckia with kisses and soothing cuddles. It’s like a post-trial spa day, except with more bloodstains and fewer cucumber slices.
And then there’s Shen Jiu, the voice of reason (Or so he thinks). As he watches Rudbeckia’s antics, he contemplates his life choices. Why, oh why, did he end up with this motley crew? What karmic debt did he accrue in a past life to deserve friends who make the Entity itself raise an eyebrow?

At the precise moment Ellenia slipped through the crowd, leaving a trail of floral perfume and polite murmurs, the smile painted on Freya’s face vanished like mist at dawn. Her expression transformed into a grimace of disgust so pronounced it might have been carved in stone. Beside her, Rudbeckia de Borgia, Izek’s betrothed, held a wine glass with the grace of a lady… or so it seemed.
"I'll be frank, Rudbeckia" Freya began, her voice as sharp as a knife's edge. "I don’t think you’re the right match for Izek"
Rudbeckia, who had been in a contemplative silence (Well, she was actually evaluating the salon curtains, finding them excessively ornate to the point of bad taste), was forced to focus on the young woman with purple eyes. 'Is she talking to me?' She wondered, pointing at herself in a gesture so belated it almost showed dust settling.
Looking back, Rudbeckia’s life had always been a carousel of the absurd (She had spent her days dying and reviving in an endless cycle to appease The Entity! Of course her sense of normality had twisted like a pretzel!), but even she had to admit this latest turn of events was perplexing.
Just hours earlier, she was in the realm of Haddonfield, playing cat and mouse with that scoundrel Michael Myers (The rascal kept trying to impale Illyana on a hook!), while her companions, Cale, Shen Jiu, and Penelope, busied themselves repairing the last generator…
How had she ended up being catapulted to another world that, by some cosmic joke, turned out to be her first life? Not that she had memories of it, but still, who was the genius who brought her back? And why had they separated her from her beloved girlfriend and comrades?
Illyana, this poor Rudbeckia misses you! But fear not, Rudbeckia will find a way back to you.
"Do you think that because Izek treats you kindly, you deserve to marry him?" Freya spat the words with venom so subtle it almost floated in the air, while she poked Rudbeckia’s chest, hoping to provoke tears or at least a grimace of pain on her unperturbed face.
"Marry?" Rudbeckia blinked, surprised by the mention of such a commitment. Her mind, usually drifting in a state of blissful intoxication by the presence of her attractive girlfriend, accelerated at a dizzying speed. She opened and closed her mouth several times, trying not to appear completely clueless, though she was known to be slower than a snail in an obstacle race when it came to matters unrelated to Illyana. "Why would I marry anyone other than my precious, magnificent, and adorable Lyna?" The response came automatically, with a tone of indignation suggesting that the mere idea was blasphemous (And this coming from someone who had at one point shared blood ties with Myers).
Marry some Izek in this life? Never! Rudbeckia was resolutely loyal to Illyana. She had dreamed of her ideal wedding with Illyana more than once. Lyna, dressed in white, adorned with the most dazzling jewels in the world, and Rudbeckia, crying tears of joy, would cling to her future wife’s waist as she dramatically fell to the ground, overwhelmed by the honor of being loved by Lyna. Rudbeckia would try to kiss the ground Lyna walked on, but she, as benevolent as a saint, would pull her up by the hair (Yes, yes!) to calm her, patting her back and giving her looks full of sweetness and affection.
"W-What?"Freya froze at Rudbeckia’s torrent of words, unable to fully process what she had just heard. "Are you mocking me?" She retorted, gripping her fan so tightly the ribs creaked. "Who the hell is Lyna?"
"My future wife!" Rudbeckia proclaimed with such vehemence it seemed she had opened the floodgates of a dam that everyone (Cale, Shen Jiu, and Penelope) had decided to keep locked with padlocks and possibly tons of cement. The passion and love Rudbeckia felt for Illyana were so intense and cheesy they bordered on exasperating. "The woman for whom I would give my life! No, forget that, if anything happened to Lyna, I would raze this unworthy world to ashes and then join her in death"
Rudbeckia loved talking about her girlfriend. She could spend hours, entire days, rambling about any detail of Illyana, to the point it was worrisome how she could speak nonstop without taking a breath in those moments when you had the misfortune to ask her about 'Lyna'.
Cale thought Rudbeckia had a problem… but Rudbeckia had no problem! Nothing in this universe was worth or as fascinating as Illyana! Rudbeckia was born to adore that precious, ethereal woman!
"No, wait…" Freya didn’t expect to stutter, but she also didn’t expect this young woman, daughter of a conservative and devoutly Church-going family, to speak so rapidly about a woman, whom she described as: 'The Goddess of Goddesses, before whom all should bow and feel grateful if Illyana ever glanced at them!' "Stop… Are you even breathing!?"
"Look, look, I have pictures of her!" Rudbeckia, ignoring Freya’s frantic attempts to stop her, pulled out a wallet from nowhere (Do wallets exist in this world? No? Luckily, Rudbeckia always carries hers, filled with photographs she took with the full consent of her beautiful albino!) and unfolded it, showing images of an albino woman with long, wavy hair, vibrant fuchsia eyes, and soft features that seemed to hold all the calm and patience of the universe.
Freya could only watch in horror as the object extended to touch the floor, and not only that, she was sure the wallet had wrapped around a nearby column. What kind of sorcery was that!?
"And what about Izek!?" Freya tried to regain some ground against Rudbeckia’s verbal onslaught.
"Who needs that Izek fellow?" Rudbeckia paused her monologue for a moment, looking at Freya as if she was the one who didn’t understand anything. A smile lit up her face, almost glowing, forcing Freya to squint. (Freya could swear she even saw hearts floating around Rudbeckia!). "I was born by my mother, and I will die for Illyana, preferably being suffocated between her thighs"

Please give us more information on the original Rudbeckia she captivates me. I love both Rubys but I need to know more about her.
She went through everything our Ruby has too, only Izek never saved her.

I feel like they would be friends. Two girls who have lost hope in kindness but still seek good men who will genuinely love them without only seeing them as tools. Who would rather be villain then victim. The world was cruel to them and they became cruel in turn. Two women who despite their layers of protection want someone to reach out their hand to them.

I wonder if in Sodom and the Holy Grail, the original Rudbeckia wasn't going to kill Ellen. Maybe they weren't best friends, but more like coworkers who coexisted with each other.
Then maybe Ellen saw Cesare make advances on Rudbeckia, and Rudbeckia realised they couldn't coexist any longer.
