"But what about Gotham?"
Bruce had turned to his son, clearly exasperated at the line of interrogation. He would prefer to stay on-world if he could. "I've asked Clark to step in. He'll be staying at the Manor until I return."
When Damian had called Richard to complain, his brother had told him he was lucky he'd get to spend some quality time with his Uncle Clark and to relax. It had only infuriated him more.
All of his siblings had a certain type of relationship with the alien. All of them except him. Perhaps due to him being the youngest, he wasn't sure. At some point he'd developed some unspoken grudge against the man, who, admittedly, was only ever polite to him when they had crossed paths. Helpful too, infuriatingly. But still, he wasn't looking forward to an extended visit.
Nevertheless, Damian was there waiting for his arrival to the manor. Richard had told him he needed to give him a chance, so he would. In his own way.

what are your muse's biggest fears, and what caused them?
BALDING. *inner kon scream* No, but for real on a deeper level, one of Kon's biggest fears is that he can't match up to his better father (Clark) and will only end up being Luthor's legacy. He wants to be his own person so badly, but is afraid he can't be because he's always going to be compared to Superman. Another fear is genuine intimacy. Kon's afraid to let people close in case he unknowingly/accidentally hurts them. He's never been very good at controlling his emotions/inhibitions and worries that he'll fuck things up at every opportunity he gets. Lastly, he's scared he's not a real boy™ and that people will never see him as human, just a science experiment or clone. All of these stem from either the fact that he was created with Clark's knowledge or consent, or that Lex brainwashed him into trying to kill his own friends. Kon is a bit of a ticking time bomb and he knows it. Like if his own 'Father' was willing to manipulate him THAT much, what other secrets about his creation has he been hiding?

4. Favourite thing about roleplaying?
Being able to write with people! I love building up a narrative and writing it out with another writer. I think the verity too you get where not every portrayal is going to be the same and that keeps things interesting. I don't really consider myself like a writer idk i really need a buddy to bounce things off to keep me engaged in writing I could never write fic idk how people manage to do that. But I love being able to talk about characters and aus and stuff with another person who's excited to build something up with me.
5. Least favourite thing about roleplaying?
Bad communication, pettiness, jealousy laziness and childishness. I'm not a mind reader but people seem to think that I am and then cause problems when they don't communicate that they're unhappy with me. I've just had so many issues where people get upset with me with writing with multiples of the same muse but it's hard to avoid when certain muses are just incredibly popular in fandom and I think it's just a really childish issue honestly. Having double anxiety is fine but when it comes to the point of harassing me about it then it's not okay. People not putting in as much as I give them also kind of irks me. I'm not like asking for a novel but I do kind of want us to have a back and fourth even if it's just a couple of lines. Continue an ask or send me follow up asks! It's really easy just please don't expect me to do all the work especially if it's a ship!

The teen's confidence in his decision to visit Clark hadn't wavered once throughout the journey there. Now that he actually stood there though, backpack shouldered and fist hovering above but not yet knocking, his conviction had faltered. He shouldn't be there. He didn't want to burden Clark with his problems and in a way, he almost felt like a small child tattling on Bruce.
But he hadn't known where else to go. Bruce might not have kicked him out of the manor, but he had kicked him out of the Cave. Dick couldn't stay there – not when things with Bruce were so tense. He'd considered staying with the Titans. He knew he'd always have a home there but their interests were too closely aligned.
As much as he hated to admit it, he needed guidance from an adult and he'd been hoping that Clark would be able to give him a more unbiased viewpoint.
But maybe this was childish. He wanted Bruce to see him as an adult, yet there he was, running away from his problems. For a moment, he considered leaving, but if Clark was home, he probably already knew someone was outside.
He let out a soft sigh before knocking, idly playing with the hem of the bandage beneath his shirt until Clark came to the door.
"Uh...hey Clark. I didn't know where else to go."

“—Yes, well, it is remarkable the sort of mistakes people can make.” Especially when they have the motivation of Luthor money. Especially when, as he’s heard, all versions of oneself are made to fight for dominance in order to survive. (That being the case, he’s really not all that surprised that he’s the one that stands here now.) “But don’t worry Mr. Kent. I’m not here to ruin your…quaint little all-American life you’ve built for yourself. I just wanted to see if the rumors were true. We’ve both come a long way from Smallville, haven't we? But here you are again.”

. . . @oftomorrow 🞂 [ prompted ] 🞂 🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion?
BATGIRL 02 🞂 SUB - FOLDER: NOTES 🞂 008.
the topic of cass's temper is an interesting one because she has a tendency of going from completely unbothered to over the rails meltdown out of nowhere. and yeah, sometimes it's because she's the victim of bad writing much like most of our muses here, but it happens enough that i had to sit down and figure out what angers her and why... so here's my rundown on that.
how bad is her temper?
i'm going to settle on... *seesaw hand* low.
kinda. let me explain. cass is easy to irritate which is the beginining of anger. if you poked her a couple times, she'll swat you and tell you to stop. if you're talking too much, she'll tell you to shut up. those things irritate her quickly. do they anger her? not necessarily. but they BUILD UP to the point of anger and that tends to be triggered by bigger, hard hitting topics like her past, identity, etc.
is it a slow boil or an instant explosion?
slow boil, 100%.
cass doesn't explode into anger until enough things build up to the point of making her snap. she's not going into a blind rage just because you keep pissig her off but it might be the last straw after a looot of built up anger. she has a tendency to bottle every emotion up to the extremes due to her upbringing.
when cass does express her anger, it often times ends up being totally destructive which is a huge problem that bruce and the others have consistently expressed concern about. we're talking about a young adult with unexplained enhanced strength who was trained to kill from the moment she could walk-- oh, and she has a whole complex about perfectionism in the things that matter to her most.
she has almost killed people multiple times during these episodes. she's split punching bags clean in half. she's broken holes in concrete walls. she's thrown herself into immense danger to punish herself. (which she does not realize she does) when cass does get angry enough to lash out it's incredibly dangerous and she regrets her reactions almost every time.
so, the tl;dr is this: cass does not have a big temper and her anger builds slowly over time until it explodes v i o l e n t l y. it's not fun. you dont even have to keep her happy, just keep her neutral.

you wouldn't hit a guy with glasses on, would you?
White lenses flicker over Clark's form, as if assessing him and considering truly punching him. Despite the tense pause, he makes no move to lash out at the man. Instead, Batman merely vocalizes his disapproval. "Long way from home, aren't you?"

Sometimes, the cemetery feels like more familiar to Bruce than any other part of the manor. After No Man's Land happened, and his home was rocked by the quakes; the cemetery was the first thing to be repaired. Brick by brick, exactly as it was before.
"I know, Clark." And he knows that Clark would empathize with him if he ever did talk about it. But that doesn't mean he'll take Clark up on that offer.

"I make light of the darkness."
@oftomorrow
"Literally? Or are you being existential right now?" Grace asked, her voice still holding that clipped, panicked tone as she groped about in the darkness. "Because I can't see anything right now. Where are you?"

"Haven't heard from you in a couple of months."

Batman paused, considering Clark's statement. It was true, but he wasn't sure why he felt the need to bring it up. There had been no world ending level threats that had required the might of the Justice League, Metropolis well well looked after. Gotham had required his attention as it always did, his children even more so. He was certain everything was covered.
Everything he knew about anyway.
"No." He agreed. "Did you need me for something?"

would your muse consider themselves an extrovert or an introvert?
Kon definitely likes to pretend to be an extrovert. He's boisterous, loud and thinks he's the most charming man on the planet. But if you ask me, as his writer, I think he's much more introverted than he lets on. He's not shy about giving attention but is when it comes to receiving it. A huge part of Kon's persona is just that; living up to what people expect from him. Underneath that, there's this quiet guy just trying to figure out what life means, and who just longs to settle down like all Kents on a farm of his own. Not that he'll admit that to anyone, of course.

Kamado looks out her class window and sees a semi careening up the road. Cars swerve out the the way, some jumping the curb and sending pedestrians scattering. She can't tell from here if the brakes are broken or if the driver is purposefully flooring the gas, but it doesn't matter. If she doesn't do something, it's going to crash into the school. With that, she grits her teeth and locks her gaze on the vehicle, willing it to slow down.
She's starting to sweat. Her heart is beating hard against her chest.
It's not slow enough.
People are starting to clear out of her class while some of the idiots are taking out their phones.
It's not slow enough.
They're clearing out the classroom now, but she's rooted to the spot, unable able to move while using her powers. If anyone's calling her, she doesn't notice.
It's still not slow enough.
Ushi's going to kill her if she gets hurt, or worse-
Slow down, slow down!
It stops just short of the glass. And looking straight at her is-

PROMPTS FOR WORKAHOLIC CHARACTERS WHO PUSH THEMSELVES TOO HARD
"Yes, I can." If Batman could, then why couldn't she? After all, he was her mentor and father, and wasn't she supposed to do what she saw him do? It had been a long night, things were happening left and right on all different sides of town. By the time she made it to one scene, she was already needing to catch her breath but she barely had time to, she had to save Gotham and that was what she was going to do. "Lots of teenagers pull all-nighters." She said it as if this could be compared to some kid in her grade pulling an all-nighter for a project.

cont. from [x] with @oftomorrow
Yoyo released the breath he'd been holding and hurried over to the bed, getting under the covers. "I know I'm too old..." he mumbled, unable to hide the tremor in his voice, as he pressed himself against Clark's chest. He was warm, solid and safe. The arm around the man held him in a grip that might hurt a regular person, but thankfully Clark wasn't one. The only person Yoyo could hug without fear of injuring them, which was a good thing right now since this specific nightmare had been about him hurting people.
It took a moment, but eventually, he calmed down. Breathing slowly and heart not threatening to escape his rib cage. "I hurt people. Crushed bones on accident. Tried to save someone, but my hand went through them and... and... r-ripped out th-their h-heart." Despite speaking quietly, low enough it would not bother Lois, it was obvious that talking about it brought the fear and anxiety back. The boy was soft. Too soft according to some, but it might be a good thing considering the power he possessed.

In many ways, Clark was as much of an inspiration to him as Bruce was, especially when it came to heroics. There was a reason Dick had chosen the name Nightwing, after all, and it was to honour him. Nightwing, the legendary hero from Kryptonian mythology. It was a story that has resonated with him ever since Clark had shared it with him.
Dick didn't have business in Metropolis, but he had been in the area on a mission with some of the other founding Titans so he thought he'd stop by. It had been a while, after all.
He didn't need to look for Superman. Superman would find him. With his enhanced vision and hearing, it was only a matter of time before he picked up the lone figure perched up on the highest roof in traditional Batfamily fashion and Dick was in no rush.
