that morning, ben had not been expecting the pleasant surprise that awaited him when he awoke. rey had already gotten up before him as she was out of the room when he finally got out of bed and got dressed, and he stepped out of the room to find a large group of people circulated around the visitation area, with trays of clear liquid in glasses placed in multiple locations in the room. everyone was reaching for one, chugging down the liquid eagerly, the chatter suddenly excited and filled with hope. it only meant one thing - the cure was the drink. perhaps some sort of medicine or a mixture of different solutions, but it must be the case, as joy filled the room. he glanced through the glass wall, seeing the researchers watching with grins on their faces, his eyes finding phasma and effie as well as other familiar faces he recognized. urgently, ben stumbled towards one of the trays, letting out a hearty cough as he did so. before he drank it, he looked around quickly for rey, figuring she must have heard the news by now if she had not already had her drink. but he also recalled how stubborn she’d been about eating, and only hoped she wouldn’t be stubborn about downing the drink, as he was sure it wouldn’t taste good. but if she knew it would heal them...she would drink it, wouldn’t she? she had to. nevertheless, he grabbed two of the glasses, searching for her. finally his eyes spotted her at the other side of the room, and he moved as quickly as he could towards her without spilling the drinks! “rey!” he called out breathlessly, turning her around to face him. he handed her the glass urgently, his eyes wide with a mixture of hope and amazement. “...the cure...they found it...”

Rose’s heart felt like it was breaking when she saw Rey in the quarantine zone. It was terrifying that her friends were sick with a disease that no one had the cure for. She sighed, wishing there was more that she could do. She was on the team to find a cure, but there wasn’t any progress yet. “... I’m looking for a cure,” Rose said. “I don’t know if that can help ease worries or not, but... we’re all here trying to put an end to this virus.” @ofscavenging

most of his time over the past few years has been spent isolated from the resistance in the outer rim, hiding out, gathering intel, and pointedly not getting to fly as much as he liked. he is more awkward outside the cockpit of an x-wing, as if he doesn’t know what to do with his hands, but he has too much experience being a commander to risk his life doing what he loves, it seems. and now he’s trapped on a planet where he can fly around the atmosphere as much as he likes, but will hit a barrier the second he tries to leave.

it’s an improvement, barely, and wedge hates it.

so he does the next best thing to looping aimlessly around in the stratosphere, which is hovering around what has become his x-wing and fiddling with it as much as possible. wedge antilles, of course, doesn’t get nervous, much less tense. he gets busy instead. so he’s been adjusting the controls minutely for the past thirty minutes.

in the midst of examining the underside of a wing, he hears footsteps approaching. he pauses. then wedge turns, his hands stained with grease. there’s a girl. he cannot identify her as anyone he personally knows, though there is some familiarity lingering in the back of his mind. “you need something?”

rey’s current state of mind was no secret to the community whether they sided with the first order or the alliance. their secret weapon had turned to the dark side but in orion’s eyes, a friend had become wrongly misguided. the older woman just couldn’t help but feel like someone should have tried harder to prevent something like this. like she should have tried harder. “i’m not here to disturb you,” orion stated as she quietly padded onto the rooftop of the hotel with her sketch pad in hand. “the sunset is just quite beautiful today.”

There was something about that girl that irked Ayva, excluding the fact that she would have to kill her, of course. No, it confused her more than anything as she couldn’t exactly figure out what side of the force she was on. It was constantly shifting, but it was powerful nonetheless. She stopped and stepped into the doorway of the building when the other was about to turn around, though she probably knew of her lurking presence as she had been following her at a distance, seeing where she would go. Secrecy doesn’t do much when the force is involved. This continued until the other had finally stopped in an empty park, most likely to train. Yet, Ayva still slunk to the shadows of trees and bushes, watching her every move. She could see why her master would try to take her up as an apprentice, even if it was only momentarily; she had great power, even if she was barely trained. Perhaps it would even surpass her own once her training is complete.

“you look a little... lost.” lydia tells the brunette, taking in her appearance and the look in her eyes. it wasn’t so much that the goodness in her h e a r t made her want to help the other as much as some voice in her little banshee head FORCED her to. “are you new around here? do you need directions?”

as the sunlight glistened through the curtains of the palace, ben’s eyes slowly fluttered open, his mind still in a daze from his sleep. he’d had multiple dreams, though he wasn’t sure what had happened in them, all he could remember now was the feeling of them. and he knew they had involved rey; in fact, that dream was returning to him now. they had been in a boat. they had kissed. they had told each other they loved each other, and watched the sun set peacefully beyond the horizon. in fact, he could practically still feel rey’s small arms wrapped around him; he felt it very vividly. he glanced down, and the brunette’s hair was splayed across his chest, her head resting on the edge of his shoulder. her arms were wrapped around him, and suddenly it hit him; it had not been a dream. it had happened. they had confessed their feelings to each other the previous night, but they had sworn to keep it a secret. if word got out, it could be dangerous for both of them, and most definitely would be used against them somehow. besides, ben was never one to properly handle his feelings; he had no idea what to do in this situation as he glanced down at her, noticing that his other arm was wrapped around her shoulder as well.

startled, he twitched ever so slightly, wondering what he should do. should he wake her? should he attempt to let her sleep and escape her grasp without waking her? should he simply stay there with her in that moment, avoiding responsibilities? as much as he wanted to, he couldn’t. there was much to do. as he shifted again gently, he noticed her shift as well, her eyes beginning to flutter open. in a nervous panic, ben closed his own again, pretending as if he had still been asleep the entire time.

Andromeda was walking down a path on the sandy planet. She was surprised there even were paths. She wasn’t used to so much sand and stone. It was unusual and it kinda freaked her out. But it was what it was, and she couldn’t change it. She was looking around and studying her environment so much that she didn’t pay attention to where she was going. It was only a matter of time until she bumped into someone else. She immediately gave the other woman an apologetic look. “I am so sorry. I was way too caught up in my head. Are you hurt?” She asked in concern.

Rey seemed fine until the second she spoke to me. Now I don’t get what her deal is so it’s that whole ‘you don’t like me, I don’t like you’ thing. Ben? You mean Kylo Ren?
