the way he spoke to her, the VENOM coursing through each word that brought him farther and farther away from the man she thought he was. this wasn’t elias, up close it was easier to recognize that. the man in front of her had anger built into his eyes like he’d known nothing else, he had years of something that elias never had. this was their son. the thought almost floored amilyn, the boy that she thought had perished so long ago was alive and something his parents never wanted for him. ❝  no, i’m sorry. i just – i thought you were someone else. a mistake, i can tell now.  ❞

the darkness imposed. he could sense the aura swallowing her whole, and bore into her blatant attempts at dismissal. it was too late for her retreat. her tongue had lashed, withdrew something suppressed within him, and it was a vile bludgeoning. a single stride swept him nearer, and his arm outstretched toward the slight silhouette. fingers wove to entomb her esophagus, eliminate airways, forge a pathogen of choking suffocation. the grip became fortified, and his voice threatened homicidal intent. “ tell me. ” he had been taught torturous power and its satanic motive, and he had known months of its persecuting torment. the drive of vengeance, however, had snared a variety of innocent specimens.

amilyn couldn’t make sense of anything was happening. the planet was already unfamilar to her and the storm made it worse. her footing only slightly more stable when she saw him. there was a minute, a spring of hope in her chest, when saw him. elias. the admiral moved through the aisles of the strange store after him, her voice calling out after him with a hint of desperation. like she’d just seen the ghost of one of her best friends. “  elias !  ”

peculiar. rows of unacquainted, unidentifiable merchandise enveloped each vicinity. credits were worthless amidst their yellow tags, amidst their lack of bartering vendors and illegally harbored parts. did a blackmarket occupy a single atom of this planet ? fabrics adorned by unfamiliar designs rivaled the textures of his own shadowy garb. then, to split his mind further, a hollering rebel. the name jarred ivory bone and envenomed his marrow. oh, he’d heard it -- the last of its syllables smite by dathomir’s sorcery. “ what is that FORSAKEN name ? ” the knight sneered, his revolt evident throughout a rigid frame.
