mikosaru. What if Fushimi got sick and Mikoto took care of him?

RIP Saru XD Imagine this in a post-ROK Everybody Lives type AU, like say Fushimi’s been under the weather but of course he continues to insist on working. He’s supposed to meet Yata at the bar but it turns out some family thing came up and Yata’s been detained. Fushimi gets to the bar and only Mikoto is there, Fushimi immediately glares and starts grumbling to himself about how of course Misaki has to be late when there’s no one else there. Mikoto suddenly gets up off the couch and starts walking towards Fushimi, Fushimi backs up without even meaning to as he’s like “W-what?”, trying to sound all belligerent. Mikoto reaches for him and Fushimi is just so confused as Mikoto puts a hand to Fushimi’s forehead and notes that he’s burning up. Fushimi swats him away and says it’s just because this stupid bar is so hot and because Mikoto’s too close, Mikoto gets this amused grin as he’s like isn’t your King the one who gets close like this normally. Fushimi mutters that he doesn’t like that either, saying that if Yata’s not here he’s leaving. Except as he turns to go he gets overcome by a wave of dizziness and starts to faint, Mikoto swoops in without even seeming to move and catches him.

When Fushimi wakes up he’s in Mikoto’s bed above the bar and Mikoto’s just chilling in the chair next to him all so you’re finally awake huh. Fushimi asks what happened and Mikoto says he fainted from the fever. Yata’s stuck at home for the moment and S4 had an emergency so they can’t spare anyone to come get him, meaning it looks like Fushimi’s under Mikoto’s care for the time being. Fushimi claims that he can get back to S4 himself, trying to get out of bed. Except he’s still dizzy and Mikoto pretty easily grabs him and deposits him back in the bed. Fushimi mutters that since when are you a nursemaid and Mikoto smiles slightly as he’s like guess I am now. Fushimi isn’t sure he’s going to survive this, like do you even know how to take care of sick people and Mikoto just shrugs, which does not instill confidence in Fushimi (well, not like he really knows how to do it either, so he can’t even give instructions besides ‘whatever Misaki usually does’).

Mikoto is smart enough to call Kusanagi for instructions, Kusanagi is somewhat amused that Mikoto’s gotten selected to take care of sick Fushimi and tells him where the thermometer is and how to make an ice pack. Mikoto heads back into his room, before Fushimi can start complaining again Mikoto just shoves the thermometer in his mouth and tells him to be quiet for once. Fushimi sits there pouting with his thermometer while Mikoto puts the ice pack on his forehead, Fushimi making small irritated noises because he can’t open his mouth. Finally the thermometer beeps and Mikoto pulls it out to check the fever, Fushimi already claiming that he’s feeling better and can go home. His temperature is still high though so Mikoto pushes him back down to the bed to sleep while he goes to get something to eat. Kusanagi walks him through heating up canned soup, which he probably brings up to Fushimi still in the can rather than a bowl. Fushimi glares at him while eating his soup, wondering if Mikoto even knows how to cook food properly. Mikoto says Kusanagi usually does that and Fushimi figures he must really be sick because that almost sounded sheepish.

Fushimi falls back asleep and at first he’s kicking off all his blankets because he’s hot. Mikoto comes to check on him again and now Fushimi’s shivering, trying to pull the blankets back on but he can’t reach them all on the floor. Mikoto doesn’t even bother with the blankets, just climbs in the bed and pulls Fushimi against his chest. Fushimi makes this soft noise and cuddles into him, Mikoto figures he can stay here for a while until things calm down. An hour or two later Fushimi wakes up, murmuring ‘hot…’ and wondering if he can go get an ice pack himself, which is when he realizes that he’s being hugged by Suoh Mikoto. He immediately starts struggling and Mikoto yawns all lazily as he’s like you’re up huh, guess I’ll get the thermometer. He stands up, leaving Fushimi there all red faced, thinking that if he feels so much better than why is his face still so hot.

so anyway it’s been a good two months since you met and you and taehyung are pretty comfortable around each other

like you guys know each others orders at all of your favorite restaurants and you have clothes at each others dorms for when you have secret sleepovers and marathon marvel movies

and all of your friends and taehyung’s friends assume that you guys are a couple

one day you’re thinking and you’re like “i think i’m gonna ask tae out”

so you do and you do it during one of your sleepovers

you and taehyung are wearing matching flannel pajamas and you’re stuffing your faces with cookies and brownies

and you turn to taehyung and tap him on the shoulder

“go out w me”

“what”

“you heard me”

“no but like are you serious”

“yeah why wouldn’t i be???”

cue taehyung’s sunshine smile

he wraps you in a bear hug and releases this huge sigh and is like

“thank god i’ve literally had a crush on you since i saw you at the orientation fair”

and you pause and think for a second and you’re like

“taehyung that was 4 months ago… YOU’VE LIKED ME FOR FOUR MONTHS AND??? DIDN’T TELL ME SHHJSKHDJDHJSDHK DUMBASS OHMYGOD”

and at this point taehyung is super confused bc he rlly thought you’d be happy to hear it but instead you hit him on the head so he’s just like ??? por quay

and you have to force yourself to calm down and explain “the only reason i didn’t want to go out with you is bc i thought you only liked me bc we’re soulmates,, if i knew you had a crush on me!! i’d have said yes”

taehyung scratches his head and says “i thought i made it pretty obvious why do you think i always stared,,, and remember when i came up to you and tried to talk to you even though i knew i was on a sugar high and it was 500% likely i would say something dumb”

you’re just trying to process this bc ,,, taehyung thinks ‘have u seen my alligator’ = 'i like u’

and your eyebrows are scrunched together and you’re just trying to form a sentence to express how dumb you think he is

so you don’t notice him inching closer and closer

until he plants a lil peck on your lips and you blink once… twice… thrice

that!! just happened

taehyung just kissed you:))))

but he looks totally calm while you’re basically a tomato

and he does this half smirk half smile and is like “does this mean i can brag to people that you’re my gf/bf”

you hit taehyung on the head again

so you and taehyung as a couple!

you two decide to join the bird watching club and like half the time it’s just you actually trying to find cool looking birds and taehyung stealing kisses and hiding your binoculars

and the other half of the time is when you actually want to be cuddly and sweet n stuff but taehyung is a tease so he ignores you and is like “woah is that an owl!! haha look y/n it’s an owl”

your movie marathons only get more frequent and sometimes you invite namjoon and even taehyung’s roommate seokjin (much to taehyung’s dismay)

coffee dates!! whenever one of you has a stressful test or project and needs to unwind

and also you two surprise each other with pastries from the café when you see each other in class

taehyung loves to share his hoodies with you

you think it’s rlly cute that his mom still sews his name into the tags of all of his favorite clothes

so imagine your surprise when one day you go to slip on this bright red sweatshirt of his and you glimpse at the tag and you see taehyung and y/n

you’re so soft because taehyung feels proud enough of this relationship to tell his parents about you and now you can’t wait to meet his mom bc she seems like the sweetest person ever

overall you and taehyung are just super sweet and goofy and you just fit so well together that you’ve managed to convince yourself that this whole soulmate system must be real bc you honestly can’t see yourself without him

Cheka being raised in Savannaclaw

They already practically raise him because hes there all the time

More recently its been because Leona wants him there instead of his brother just dumping the kid onto them like hes theirs

Ruggie teaches Cheka how to read and Jack is trying his best not to laugh because he knows Cheka is young and learning but oooh boi some of the mistakes are fucking hysterical

Deuce and Epel drop by a lot and Epel makes Cheka lil apple turnovers in the shape of cartoon characters and its Chekas favorite food now

They often find Cheka asleep on Leonas chest and Ruggie cant help but give a loving sigh before leaving the room (after a photo is taken ofc)

They ask Lilia for parenting advice to the point that whenever Leona calls he goes, "What has the child done this time?" And the faes basically on speed-dial

On a more angsty note, I feel like Leonas dad would be the type to slap/hit/do anything physical to their kids as punishment and Leona thinks its fucking stupid cuz it doesnt teach shit but his brother uses it on Cheka alot so that was basically all Ruggie needed to see Leonas brother do to Cheka in public to go, “This is my child now” and walk off with Cheka

Another angsty thing is when Cheka quietly asked, “Uncle Leona? Can I ask something?” And Leona nodded and Cheka went, “Does my dad love me anymore?” This caused Leona to instantly stop whatever he was doing and go, “What makes you think that while at eye-level with Cheka and hte boy goes, “Well he leaves me here whenever he goes to do anything, he never takes me to do anything fun, momma tries to get him to spend time with me but he never does..” Leona pulls the boy into a hug and goes, “If he doesn’t, me, Ruggie, Jack, Epel and Deuce love you. So does everyone else here.”

The moment Cheka started coming to RSA regularly, Crowley instantly added more kids stuff, like a small lil playset outside, kids food at the cafeteria and Sam now carries kids stuff in his stop if he didnt already

Ruggie gets so much baby fever from being around Cheka

Deuce takes Cheka on nice little walks in the morning and he ends up carrying Cheka on his shoulders by the end of it

The other students can swear theyve never seen Leona genuinely smile at a child before Cheka started being at RSA practically 24/7

All of the Epel 5 will sit down and help Cheka with school work if he has it later on, they have to put certain people on specific subjects cuz Epel cant do math to save his life but Deuce can, Leona helps with history and Ruggies helping with LA

One time at school, Cheka was asked what his dads name was, the teacher was expecting an obvious answer and Cheka said, “Leona Kingscholar” (obviously a bit more mistakes then that cuz hes like 5-6 but y’know) and Leona legit got a call during class because of it and hes so happy abt it but keeps his cool (I kinda wanna see a full fic on this 👀)
