I wanna say bc Cynthia gets along well w Augustine and Geeta, and for Diantha that's one item on her lil checklist thing on finding a partner, someone that gets along w the ones she loves. Tho idt Cynthia really gets along w Geeta that well too, but Geeta just tolerates her to spite Lance

Not to say Lance is lacking or anything, Dia still loves him, but at the end of the day, Cynthia has that edge over him, and ofc, in her own charming way, she managed to actually win Diantha's heart, and made Dia fall in love w her too

Lance just accepts it, as much as it hurts, cause for him Diantha's happiness is important, so seeing her happy makes him happy too. After that whole ordeal maybe, Geeta and Cynthia doesn't mess w him that much anymore and even listens to him

Maybe Lance did try getting along w Geeta and Augustine. And hey, Augustine already liked him from the start, w all the things Dia tells him, how great he is and he was such a gentleman, so Augustine was happy that someone was treating his sister right, and wasn't just dating her for the fame and fortune that came w their name

Getting along w Geeta was smth else tho, cause these two are so willing to kill each other, but also,, imagine if Geeta really challenged him to an all out battle, no matter if both of them gets hurt, and if he really beats her then he can be w Diantha. Lance thought it was nonesense, but he's willing to do it for Diantha. That battle was brutal as fuck man, but when Lance came out victorious, Geeta just sighed and actually smiled genuinely at him, saying how he really loves Diantha to go through all this for her, even to the point of getting his cape ripped

And yeah, Cynthia too just accepted it, Dia was happy w Lance, and hey, she's happy he's treating her right too, and it hurts but,, she's not really bitter abt it, as long as Dia's happy yknow, then that's all that matters for em hahah
