@ofblackskies from here for davina claire
"allergies.." davina repeated. eyebrow slightly raised as bright hues scanned him curiously. sensing that something was off as she was now crossing her arms. looking down at him where he sat. "of all excuses, you come up with allergies." the witch didn't believe his lame excuse. it was evident on her features. "you don't have to tell me or whatever, but you have been really weird as of lately."

STARTER FOR @ofblackskies ( JEREMY GILBER )
oh how the witch was growing frustrated. shutting the spell book and lifting her head to look at the other who was eyeing her from the corner of the room. already wishing she went ahead with her sister and the rest of the winchesters. but no, she had to stay here and figure out a spell with jeremy practically attached to her hip, "you do know that nothing could get me in this motel, right? you're free to go wherever you want."

@ofblackskies
Barking out a surprised laugh at Jeremyâs words, Kol pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against his boyfriendâs so that he could look into his eyes. âCare to make it three, darling? I could be persuaded,â the Original purred, only to laugh again and kiss away the grimace on Jeremyâs face as the younger male glanced warily around.
âNow, now, darling. Donât be rude,â Kol chided. âI expect your eyes on me when Iâm holding you, little Gilbert. Youâll know when we have an audience,â he promised. âAlthough I seem to recall you thoroughly enjoying that in Denver.â
A century may not have been a long time to an Original vampire, but it certainly was to a human like Jeremy... and yet still, he didn't seem fazed by the time commitment. In fact, it only really saw to making him smile a bit as he nodded at Kol in response. "Oh yeah, at least a century. Maybe two." His lips twitched, only to fall into a grimace at the mention of the good people of Mystic Falls.
He looked around - not because he was embarrassed, or ashamed, but because he wanted to know which of the people peeking their way was about to go tattling to his sister about him. But Jeremy nodded again. "Right. You're right. Lets go."

@ofblackskiesâ sent: đŞfrom Jeremy | Send đŞto throw Rebekah over your museâs shoulder
Well this was certainly a new one, and just embarrassing on a thousand different levels. âJeremy bloody Gilbert, what do you think youâre doing!â Rebekah shrieked, her voice gone shrill simply from the surprise of it all. She struggled, unsure of how to best get down without falling face first onto the dirty ground. âPut me down right now, wanker!âÂ

âI didnât really need your permission to come back to here, Jeremy.â Ali paused, âAfter all, like you, I was born here.â Ali drawled, staring at the young Gilbert, amuse about the whole situation, then a small smirk appeared on her lips, âI didnât really know you cared about me, I feel so flattered.â Â

"tim?" davina spoke almost breathlessly. as if the wind just got knocked right out of her. facial expression filled with shock. emotions. eyes glossed with tears. "you see him? you see tim?" all of that tough devil's daughter façade broken away. emotions of the girl that was kept in an attic seeping through. "he wants you to keep me safe? do you see him now?"
Jeremy scrubbed a hand over his face. He wasnât supposed to say anything. Not really. It practically begged to be a bad idea, but here she was asking. And honestly, he couldnât do it. He couldnât lie to her or keep it from her. Searching his brain for the name for a moment as his gaze searched her face, he frowned. "Timothy?" Jer offered the name up like it was a question. He didnât know what else to say.

now that answer had her attention. hues squinted as she tried to figure out why someone dead wanted her safe. if anything, everyone dead she knew wanted her head. "how is.. how is that even possible?" davina questioned in disbelief. "every time i have died and ran into the deceased wanted to torture me. who even wants me safe?"
âNo, IâŚâ Jeremy groaned and scrubbed a hand over his face. âSome dead guy harassed me until I agreed to watch over you.â He finally admitted to her. It sounded so weird to say it like that, but it was what it was. âThe dead seem to think you could use some extra protection or something.â

âpissing you off. are you having a little quarrel with a ghost?â davina still didn't believe him as she crossed her arms. âwhy would tim be fighting with you anyway.â now the witch took a step forward. looking up at him with furrowed brows as she was almost examining him. âyou're a bad liar, i hope you know that.â
He should have just spilled the beans, but Jeremy Gilbert was not the most forthcoming of individuals. So instead, he decided to blame ghosts. âYou know my⌠special talent? Well⌠your old boyfriend is just kinda pissing me off.â It wasnât fully a lie, either. If it hadnât been for him, Jeremy wouldnât have met Davina at all.

"alright, you see dead people. and i've died plenty of times. is this supposed to scare me or weird me out?" davina spoke as if it weren't shocking news. if anything, davina and the rest of the winchesters literally hunt dead people. arms crossed as she continued to look at him, "that still doesn't answer my question."
He had half a mind to refuse to tell her. After all, admitting to a pretty girl that you saw ghosts - and worse, that you were protecting her at the urgency of one - was kind of a weird thing to admit. But she was so⌠annoyed by his insistence that he had to protect her. To keep her safe. âI see dead guys.â Jeremy finally replied, kicking himself mentally for how he phrased it. âI mean⌠no. Thatâs⌠thatâs what I mean, butâŚâ

"i don't need your help." the witch stated with a shake of her head. god, how she hated being watched over. it was more than annoying. it was agitating. unbearable. she still didn't understand why he was watching over her. "are you eventually going to tell me who you are keeping me safe for? don't tell me it's lucifer."
"And you know that saying youâre safe is an immediate invitation for something terrible to happen, right?" Jeremy challenged, though he was pretending to read. He wasn't much of a reader, really. More of a comic book guy, but he was trying to look smart for her. He wasn't sure why he always did that. "So I'm good right here. Lemme know if you want my help."

Had Kol not been so distracted, he would have been utterly suspicious of Jeremyâs easy agreement. The hunter was not one for giving in without a fight. And while Kol enjoyed their little spats (as well making up from them), it normally would have been just out of character enough to give the Original pause. But it was hard to think with Jeremy so close.
The loss of his lover had hit Kol far harder than he realized, and without meaning to the brunette vampire tightened his hold on the younger Gilbert when the other man went to pull away. âNah-uh, darling. You donât get to go anywhere thatâs not in my arms or in my bed,â Kol said firmly, leaning in to kiss him again. âNot for a century at least. You owe me quite a bit of lost time, love, and I fully intend to collect later on. For nowâŚwe should take this little reunion elsewhere, unless you wish to scandalize the good people of Mystic Falls.â
It didn't matter. It didn't matter how hesitant Kol was about believing him when he said it. It didn't matter that there were a thousand obstacles in their way. All Jeremy knew was that he wanted him. Wanted to be with him. After all the mistakes he had made so far in his life - and especially regarding the original - he wasn't planning to make another one when it came to Kol. He nodded a bit as he held onto him, and only when he was so so sure that he could pull away and stay upright did he do so. Looking into Kol's eyes as he heaved a heavy sigh. "Yeah. Later. Definitely." He replied quietly. Because as far as he was concerned, they had forver. What did later matter?

The temptation was there to make a joke. To tease Jeremy about kissing him better, the way he would have done before. But too many unspoken words lingered between them now. The easiness of Denver was gone. It had been replaced by something raw and awkward and a touch broken between them, but even the Original couldn't deny that there was still something there.
Something worth fighting for. Even if it took centuries for them to regain what had been lost, Kol suspected they would find it again. Though it would take time, and a great deal of patience - something that Kol rarely possessed. But for Jeremy? He was willing to try. The younger Gilbert was worth the effort.
"If and when I turn you, sweetling, I want it to be with no regrets. This is not the time for that," the Original said with uncharacteristic seriousness. "I don't want an eternity built on guilt and mistrust. Not when I know we can do so much better than that, darling."
Kolâs ability to drive Jeremy Gilbert to distraction had always been utterly insurmountable for the human. The hunter. The prey. Somehow he was all of these at the same time, and the only thing he wanted to be? Was Kolâs. It was all all consuming weight that had been lifted when heâd kissed him, and Jer had no plans to let it fall through his fingers again. He wanted to break down, fall to his knees, and absolutely grovel⌠but what else could he say? What could he do? It didnât matter. Whatever it was, heâd do it. Whatever Kol wanted, heâd give it to him - become a fucking sycophant for all he cared, if that was what he needed. âBetter now.â He admitted with a quiet laugh, avoiding the urge to say they should just⌠go. Run away together. Get the hell out. Instead, the words that came out were not words he had planned. âYou should turn me.â Something he hadnât wanted since he was a stupid kid, and had been so against for a while, but it felt like a start to forgiveness for some reason. And it meant heâd get to spend far longer than his human life with Kol.

Groaning softly into Jeremyâs mouth as the other brunette's hands found his hair, Kol curled his fingers into Jeremy's shirt to keep him close and deepened the kiss. The younger Gilbert still smelled like the laundry detergent they'd used in Denver, and if Kol closed his eyes he could almost ignore the fact that everything had gone to hell after they'd returned to Mystic Falls. It would be so easy to pretend they were back there. To imagine that the taste of coffee on Jeremy's tongue was from the pot they'd made that morning after they'd dragged themselves out of bed. But as easy as it would be to let himself fall back into those old habits, the Original knew that he couldn't. One way or another, what had happened needed to be addressed properly before they could move forward. And it would be. Eventually. For now, he just wanted to be a little bit selfish. "Hullo, sweetling," Kol purred when Jeremy pulled away to catch his breath. "How's tricks?"
It was like the wind was put back into his sails the moment Kol stepped towards him. Something like fear all mixed up with the most painful strains of hope flooded Jeremy's mind, and showed visibly in his posture right up until the moment they were kissing. He knew everything wasn't forgiven. Not really. Whether he had been in control or not, he had done something severely fucked up, and even if Kol forgave him on a base level, he knew the vampire wasn't over it. Still, as he kissed him back, Jeremy was hopeful that things could be righted. Somehow.
He had caught that shaky exhale, had known that Kol had been holding back from whatever he wanted to do, and he was just... so glad that it was this that he wanted to do. Hands ventured up to knot into Kol's hair, and even when the kiss broke, Jer didn't pull away. The idea of any sort of distance between them was a truly awful one, as far as he was concerned. His breath was caught in his throat, though, and the Gilbert had no idea what to say. So, stealing another kiss, he let out a quiet little laugh of desperation. "Hi."

Well now, wasn't that a loaded question? Life would have been so much easier for the Original if the answer was yes. But the truth was, Kol couldn't bring himself to regret Jeremy Gilbert. The only part of their relationship that left a sour taste in his mouth was the ending. "No, darling. I don't," Kol finally admitted after the silence between them had dragged on for too long. "I regret letting them take you away. I should have killed Damon bloody Salvatore in Denver and compelled your sister to forget your existence unless you called her, then sent her home. Instead I hesitated to act for fear of Niklaus' displeasure, and in the end it cost us both dearly. Knowing that, do you regret me?"
Honestly, Jer sort of thought that things would be better if Kol did just kill him. Get it over with. An eye for an eye and all that. Maybe he'd come back to, maybe he wouldn't, but at least he wouldn't feel so awful while he waited on the other side. He heaved a heavy sigh and looked at him.
"Don't you already?" Jeremy asked, gaze locking onto Kol's again. He'd deserve it if Kol regretted him... but the only thing he regretted was killing him.

In that moment, staring at Jeremy, Kol couldn't decide which hurt worse - his head, or his heart? On some level he'd known that the curse was all consuming. The Five was a Bennett's doing, and for a line that had been around as long as they had, they were remarkably ill-equipped to use their massive reserves of power. Their attempts to fix what the generations who had come before had broken often resulted in more supernatural problems than they solved.
Knowing that logically didn't ease the betrayal. Kol had trusted him. Laid himself bare in a way he hadn't in centuries. And Jeremy had stolen everything from him. His heart, his sire line....his very life. It should have made him beyond reason. It should have made him kill the younger Gilbert without a thought.
But Kol couldn't bring himself to do it. The mere thought of the former hunter dying made him ache. "I'm not going to kill you, darling, so you can stop saying that." The Salvatores and his little makeshift family though? They were on the top of his hit list. "I think I'd regret you forever and a day if I did."
He wasnât wrong. âYeah. Usually.â He replied easily, looking him over for a moment. But Jer nearly crumbled at the vampireâs next words. Honestly, he hadnât thought about that. He should have. But he hadnât. He⌠hadnât thought anything fully through, and it showed. Honestly, Jeremyâs head had been a mess the whole time, and he didnât really want to explain what had been happening inside it. It wouldnât make a difference to know everything that had been happening inside that fractured mind of his while the tattoos had taken over. It didnât matter. It didnât change what he had done⌠even if he was still a little surprised he had done it at all.
It had been like he was looking through his own eyes but making none of his own decisions. Like the hunters before him were spurring him forward and he had no control. But his mind was working. His voice was his own every time he disagreed with Elena and her vampires. It just hadnât mattered. He still did things he didnât want⌠and didnât know why.
âI donât want to make it even. I canât make it even. That was a⌠gigantic, stupid decision, Kol. I know it was and I know I canât fix it or make it even.â Wetting his lips, though, Jeremy nodded a little bit. âBut Iâll help.â It was the least he could do, really⌠and maybe Kol would forgive him. Even though Kol said he doesnât forgive, and Jeremy knew that he wasnât worthy of forgiveness. âIâll help, and then you can kill me, and then itâll be the closest to even I can think of.â
