The idea that Kaeya witnessed the fall of Khaenri'ah is so uninteresting to me. I find him learning about it second hand and piecing together clues about his ancestry and past to me far more interesting. That the only Khaenri'ah he knew was a Khaenri'ah in ruins if even that. Having to go through that sort of generational trauma. I find it to be a more interesting explanation than he's actually secretly 500+ years old because of abyss fuckery. There's enough characters who are 500+ years old, Kaeya doesn't need to be one of them imo

Tumblr media
kaeya alberich
kaeya had been sitting in his seat for far too long (it’s really only been a minute) and decided that he needed some fresh air. being captain of the knights of favonius really took so much time out of his beautiful day. he sighed and easily reattached his fur cape onto his collar with one hand before he began to seek you.
he strode down the streets of mond, greeting the locals with his charming smile. but there was still no sign of you yet! perhaps if he took one more round in the city centre he’d find you…
“i think that’s it for me, thanks blanche!” you were about to take your bag of goods from the counter when you felt two arms snake around your waist. “huh—”
you turned around confused until you saw who it was, a relieved sigh then leaving your lips.
“hello snowflake,” he greeted you with a smile reserved only for you.
“kaeya, hi.” your face brightened at the sight of your lover, hands resting on his biceps. “what are you doing here?” you could feel his fingers playing with the hem of your shirt, a habit you noticed he did every time his hands were on you.
he made a melodramatic sigh, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. “my love, i’ve been looking for you everywhere.” he felt himself recharging with every second you were with him. “my day is beautiful again now that i’m with you, what are you doing here anyway?”
“i was buying things for… dinner,” you said the last part quietly, cheeks warming because you’ve never really cooked for kaeya before but the idea happened to cross your mind earlier in the afternoon, hence why he found you at the general goods shop. “wanna join me?”
“for dinner?” kaeya removed himself from your neck, raising a brow. “are you going to cook for us both?” he asked, tone ending in a teasing lilt. his voice made your knees melt.
you purse your lips in an embarrassed manner, nodding your head. “if you’re free after—”
“now, now—” kaeya shook his head, swiftly taking your bag of goods from the counter before snaking his free arm around your waist again. “—you know i always have time for you, snowflake.”
diluc ragnvindr
you were by the couch in front of a fire, reading through a book that’s caught your attention for the past hour. it was usually around this time that you would visit diluc in his office to ask for cuddles but… you never came.
thus diluc made the courageous decision to seek your attention. he made his way out of his office and down the staircase, spotting your figure sitting on the couch. your nose was so far up the pages in your book that you didn’t even hear his footsteps.
“have you had dinner yet, my dear?” your eyes snapped away from the book, revealing your face and warm cheeks to diluc. you shut your book softly, not forgetting to bookmark the page you left off.
“i haven’t, i was so caught up in my book i didn’t realise,” you said, naturally not realising what diluc was here for. he was a tad bit unimpressed with how you forgot to visit him; he was expectantly waiting for your cuddles, staring at his office door and focusing on the sounds outside to identify which footsteps were yours. but none of them were.
“was it the book you bought from our journey in liyue?” diluc inquired, casually plopping his head on your lap. his messy ponytail became even messier but that was fine, he knew you would offer to redo it for him later.
your fingers acted on their own as they gently carded through his soft crimson locks. “it was,” you replied in a whisper. then his eyes suddenly locked with yours and it startled you so you had to ask what was wrong.
“is that why you didn’t visit my office for the past three hours?” he deadpanned at you, jokingly of course. when the man discovered that you had grown fond of this reaction, he couldn’t help but make the face more often.
you laughed and the corners of diluc’s lips tugged upwards in a smile. but what caught him off guard as he was lovingly gazing up at you was when you began pinching his cheeks.
“your expressions are so cute, if only everyone else could see them.” diluc tried to conceal his blush, clearly working to no avail because you seemed to laugh louder as he averted his gaze elsewhere.
“i won’t forget to visit you next time.” you leaned down to plant a kiss on his forehead, grinning in satisfaction when diluc’s cheeks completely camouflaged with his hair.
zhongli
zhongli was in need of something from you. as he sat in his usual spot at third-round knockout, his head could not stop turning about, perking up to the slightest calls from one person to another. where were you? he normally saw you running around this area at this time.
but of course! on the day zhongli needed something from you, you coincidentally weren’t around. if the adeptus had learnt anything during his time on teyvat, it was that the world really knew how to test one's patience. he sighed inwardly, about to revert his attention back to iron tongue tian until he saw the figure of your head amongst the crowd of people walking around.
the poor adeptus almost spit out the tea he was supposed to swallow, and after apologising to nobody for his poor etiquette, he stood up and rushed over to you.
“y/n! y/n, hello,” zhongli greeted you warmly with that smile on his face that made him look like a happy puppy that found his owner.
your expression softened at the familiar call of your name, knowing immediately who the voice belonged to. grinning, you thought it was adorable. which made you reciprocate his energy.
“my dear, the look on your face is making me believe you’ve done something audacious.” you raised a brow, looking at him up and down suspiciously.
zhongli’s heart churned, this was it! the look that did something to his poor heart made him unable to contain the expression that crept up to his face. he was waiting the whole day for you! and now that you’re here giving him what he wanted, he just couldn’t quell the excitement surging through his veins.
was he blushing? was he just hot from the weather? whatever the look on his face was, you were still absolutely stunned. never in your time with zhongli had he made a face like this before.
you quite liked it.
“hm…” you tilted your head, looping your arm with zhongli’s. he heard the playful tone in your voice and he was living for it. “it seems that mr zhongli of the wangsheng funeral parlour is in need of some entertainment. might i borrow you this afternoon, dearest?”
zhongli nodded his head (with such enthusiasm too, there were practically stars in his eyes!). his smile was accompanied by the light blush dusted across his cheeks, arm tingling when it came in contact with yours. “of course dear, my time is yours.”
childe
you were by wanmin restaurant, chatting it up with xiangling about her newest dish you were just obsessed with. you wanted to order it again for takeaway but those incoming footsteps from behind you were quite concerning. so you turned around in curiosity because why is someone running to you at such speed?
“my looove!” oh.
you chuckled, opening your arms to accept childe into your embrace. “now what are you doing here?” you greeted as he nuzzled his face into your neck, feeling him softly exhale on your skin while his arms wrapped snugly around your waist.
“i’m not allowed to come see you when i want to? that’s so unfair of you.” childe pouted, removing himself from your neck.
“thought you’d be out ‘til the evening so i wasn’t expecting you,” you reply, briefly combing his hair down from its usual wildness. “oh! have you returned from a spar?” you bid xiangling a goodbye before heading out with ajax.
“i have! and…” the bright look on his face quickly dissipated when he showed you his upper arm after rolling up a bit of his sleeve. “i got just a little carried away in the process.” ajax looked at you with his blue eyes that feigned pain. “fix me up?” he suggested meekly.
who were you to say no to that? of course you would help your lover patch up his wounds. so after walking over to your home, you sat ajax on a chair and told him to stay put to which he replied with an animated nod of the head.
you returned with a first aid kit, quickly dabbing alcohol on his cut before bandaging him up. normally ajax never came to you with any wounds after sparring so this was a little unusual—but he was human. he would get hurt.
while you were in your little bubble of thoughts, childe was practically vibrating in his seat. the toothy grin on his face brighter than the sun that shone upon liyue, he finally had you all to himself now! and you were patching him up, these results were much better than he could’ve imagined. he’s always wished of being aided by you, since your touch was so gentle and warm.
he leaned into you, placing his forehead on your shoulder. and like a kitten he nuzzled his face into your neck. “missed you,” he mumbled, although muffled you understood what he said. pulling him further into your embrace, you let your warmth surround him. “missed you too.”
kaedehara kazuha
kazuha sits idly by a tree in liyue, whistling softly to greet the sight of the serene horizon. the sun rises gradually and soon, so will you. he lets the leaf he was playing with fly with the morning breeze, getting up to greet you a good morning.
kazuha knows just how far the sun has to hover above the horizon to know when you begin stirring out of your slumber. he enters the inn and takes the staircase to your room you booked, opening the door to find you stretching on the bed.
“good morning, my love.” his sweet voice makes your head snap upwards, your expression brightening at his presence. “morning, kazu.” you open your arms, inviting him in for a hug and he plays right into your little trap when you pull his body on top of yours.
kazuha yelps in surprise, face smacking into your pillow as he’s slotted right beside your face. he lifts his head up, shaking his head slightly in fondness. his baby hairs tickle your cheek. “you’ve just woken up but you already have the energy to play tricks like this.”
you snake your arms around his waist, pulling him flat against your body. “that’s what makes life fun, kazu.” you nuzzle your face into his warm neck. “but i might have to cut this moment short, boss needs me at the restaurant.”
what. kazuha blinks owlishly at nothing in particular. what do you mean your boss needs you at work right now? no. nope! kazuha doesn’t like the turn of events. he swears today is your day off!
“i thought you had the day off?” he raises a brow at you, trying not to sound too disappointed.
“i was supposed to but boss came over last night when you went to buy us dinner and practically begged on her knees for me to go to work.” your voice is laced with amusement as you remember the look on your boss’ face. “apparently two other employees had last minute plans they couldn’t cancel.” you remove your hands from his waist to place them on his cheeks.
kazuha doesn’t normally make such expressions so when your eyes land on his face, you can’t help but coo. “well we may stop by for some breakfast before i leave.”
his expression doesn’t improve.
you purse your lips. you’re trying your absolute hardest to contain your laughter. “i’ll ask boss to give me another day off? so i’ll have two days off to spend with you.”
kazuha shakes your hands off his cheeks so he can nuzzle his face into the juncture of your neck. “your boss should learn to keep her promises.”
thoma
“y/n! would you like me to make those pastries from yesterday?” thoma’s face pops up from behind the book you’re reading. you smile and put the book down momentarily.
“that would be love—”
“oh oh! what about those cakes from two days ago? i recall you saying that it was delicious for afternoon tea or i could make you—”
you stifle a laugh. to be honest, it has been a while since you two met up due to your busy schedules so his hyper attitude right now is understandable. but you don’t think you can have a proper conversation like this so you decide to mess with him. pulling a business smile on your face, you say, “good afternoon, commissioner.”
“h- huh?! good afternoon, my lord—” but when thoma lifts his head to greet his lord, he isn’t there. his brows furrow, whipping his head around to see the mischievous look on your face.
“y/n! that wasn’t funny.” he blushes at your teasing, pouting unintentionally in response.
you chuckle, raising your fingers to pinch both of his cheeks. “you can be so naive around me. it's adorable, thoma.”
the use of his name makes him gulp embarrassingly loud. in his kneeling position, he holds onto your wrists that now cup his warm cheeks. “i- i was just wondering if you wanted any cakes! my lord said i’m free for the rest of the afternoon so i thought—” thoma exhales shakily from your intense gaze before continuing, “—i thought i would be of service to you today.” he ends his sentence with a smile, bringing his gaze to meet yours.
your heart pounds in your ears. maintaining composure around your beloved one soon became difficult after time passed. but you learnt that letting your walls down for him was worth it.
“then let’s make those cakes together. didn’t you say you would help me improve my baking skills?” you take his hand from your wrist to guide both of you on your feet.
he nods his head like an obedient puppy. “i did!”
“then let’s head to my kitchen.”
kamisato ayato
it is rare for kamisato ayato to leave the main office. oftentimes he is drowned under paperwork that needs him to provide his official signature or input for upcoming events. however, ever since you came around, even the commissioner’s most capable retainer finds himself at a loss when in search of his lord.
the only reason ayato even leaves his office is because he hears the echo of your voice entering the estate after your afternoon walk around the city with your ladies in waiting. with swift movement, ayato relocates his work from his office into yours.
when you slide the shoji open, you flinch at the sight of the figure who’s been awaiting your arrival for the past hour (ayato’s distracted himself by busying his mind with official documents).
“welcome home, darling,” ayato greets you while his gloved fingers continue to sign pages with his brush, ink gliding over the documents smoothly.
heat rises to your face at the pet name. you promptly dismiss your ladies in waiting before they can see the expression on your face, maintaining it to the best of your abilities until they are gone.
“have you been here this whole time?” you slide the shoji shut behind you.
ayato raises his gaze from the document to flash you a smile. “yes i have.”
unfortunately for him, you don’t miss the cheeky glint in his eye. sitting down beside him, you scold him jokingly with a pointed finger. “tsk, you’re lying. i just saw thoma bring out your tea set from your office.”
“oh.” the single syllable word is emphasised by his lips that form an ‘o’ shape.
you don’t realise you’re holding in a laugh until it bursts out of you at the sight of him acting like this. ayato’s posture relaxes as your laughter fills your office. he puts his brush down to pull you closer to him so he can lay his forehead on your shoulder while an arm wraps around your waist.
“did you happen to bump into someone on your afternoon walk?” ayato’s eyes flutter shut, fatigue finally hitting him when your warm palm rises to caress his cheek.
strands of his hair tickle your chin as you reply, “yes, i met lady hiiragi near uyuu restaurant. she said she was waiting for one of her retainers.”
“you mean you spotted lady hiiragi on a secret outing with sir kujou.” ayato doesn’t fail to correct you, the corner of his lip rising in amusement.
you gasp knowingly, patting your lips to correct your words. “indeed that is what i saw.” you nod with a smile. “no wonder she was wearing such an atrocious looking kimono and styled her hair… like that. she was disguising herself.”
ayato lifts his head to meet your gaze and jokes, “i can only imagine what sir kujou was wearing.”
your eye twitches, a grimace appearing on your expression. “i’d rather not.”
the yashiro commissioner can only chuckle at your reaction. ah, he just loves it when you’re around.
alhaitham
the akademiya’s scribe is a rather quiet man. he only opens his mouth when necessary. for example, when his roommate, who cannot stop blabbering about a rather irritating client, comes waltzing through the hall, disturbing the peace of the scribe’s reading time, does he open his mouth to shoot him a sharp “shut up.”
another example is when a certain knock on the door is heard and kaveh goes to answer it.
“kaveh, hello! is alhaitham home?” it’s you.
the scribe is on his feet immediately. the blond yelps when he is shoved out of the way to make space for your lover, who greets you with a gentle smile. the book from earlier is now left disregarded on the chair.
“my dear, you’re here.”
alhaitham finds it difficult to stay quiet around you. there’s just always something to say when you’re right next to him. like right now as he offers his arm out for you to hold, before promptly announcing that he and you will take a stroll around the city. kaveh only gapes at the unusual behaviour of his roommate. poor man can never get used to it. you offer him an apologetic smile before leaving with alhaitham.
you sigh, patting on your lover’s arm scoldingly. “be nicer to that roommate of yours, did you see the stunned look on his face?”
“don’t look at his face, dear, it’ll stress you out,” alhaitham says bluntly as he takes the path towards treasures street.
you have to cover your own mouth before a sound so unbecoming can leave it.
alhaitham takes pride in how he can make you laugh. he loves watching your eyes twitch and how you purse your lips to contain the boisterous reaction, how you have the self-control to maintain your composure in public despite wanting to cackle loudly like a maniac. knowing he can prompt such a reaction out of you makes him huff proudly when he’s alone with his ear pieces in.
but right now, his ear pieces are turned off. he finds himself carrying the conversation as you and him find seats in the audience, waiting for a scheduled performance hosted by the zubayr theatre. he keeps you close to him as you squeal in excitement when the lights dim for nilou to appear on the stage.
alhaitham finds himself speechless when he yearns for your presence. the most he can do is pull up that smile on his face and pray to lesser lord kusanali that you’ll see the faint twinkle in his eye that is telepathically asking for your attention. the man doesn’t even realise he’s doing the latter, that’s just his unconscious bodily response.
fortunately, the dendro archon is of kind nature, and what archon of kind nature would ignore the prayer of one of her most loyal followers?
cyno
the general mahamatra comprehends his silent need for your presence when he takes a quiet stroll through caravan ribat. he misses you and your curiosity—your hand that grabs his wrist to take him to a stall that has trinkets and things that have caught your eyes or how you’re so quick on your feet to run to the next thing that shines in your field of vision.
cyno stops in his tracks, staring at the path that would show him out of caravan ribat and into the greenery that leads towards the city.
he could leave right now.
you know your lover has a demanding job so you obviously don’t get in his way with distractions. but when your head snaps to your right side at the sight of your lover donned in his usual attire, walking towards you with a rather intriguing look on his face, you have to burst his bubble of personal space.
“cyno, what are you doing here? i thought you had something to do at caravan ribat.” cyno only smiles gently, offering his hand out for you to take, which you do.
“work is finished,” he tells you, bringing you closer. “and i missed your company, my love.” he whispers lowly, gaze pouring into yours.
you raise your brows, gulping, making you break eye contact with him to stare at the interesting potted-plant behind him instead. “cyno it’s only been four days since we last saw each other.”
“that does not change anything.” cyno tilts his head to find your pretty eyes again, a crease appearing in between his brows as he stifles a laugh. “my love, my eyes are here.” and he only pulls you by your waist when you act like you don’t hear him.
he’s so insufferable.
“hm, it’s a lovely day today, how about a round of TCG with me?”
your head snaps in his direction. an expression of disbelief takes over your face completely. “are you serious? you come back after four days and you ask me if i wanna play—”
a smug look grows on cyno’s face as you complain. then it clicks in your head and you click your tongue, folding your arms and looking away. “go and play with your friends then, i can just go to treasure’s street and—”
“oh come now, love, you know that was a joke, right? or do you want me to explain what my true intentions are? because if you would like to know then i’m happy to mmph—” cyno grins into the kiss you give him, effectively shutting him up. perhaps this is what he wanted in the first place.
you pull back, heat rushing to your cheeks at your own actions but really, you miss your lover. so that seemed to be the most appropriate thing to do at that moment.
“dinner. we will have dinner.” cyno relishes in the way you grab his hand, squeezing it as you lead him towards puspa cafe.

Your (delusional) Girl !
being mistaken as Diluc's secret lover . . .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way you ended up at the Ragnvindr mansion could be considered the most idiotic of all, so to speak - crashing a gala party and accidentally ending up unconscious is a somewhat predictable situation, but what makes it unique is the fact that Diluc, out of all the people in that hall, took it upon himself to help the poor (you).
The clock struck half past five in the morning, your head still throbbing from the blow you received while trying to descend the wooden staircase silently. Your mind had not fully processed everything that had happened, replaying the events of yesterday like a fast-forwarded movie; the mansion was strangely quiet, the curtains of the main hall still closed - hopefully, everyone had briefly left the place, but with bad luck, you would soon encounter one of the maids.
Guess what?
At the bottom of the stairs, one of the newly hired - noticeable because she seemed quite young - stared at you nervously, her lips pressed tightly. You expression turned to panic instantly, your legs rushing to climb the stairs, but then you turned to gesture for silence (while clasping your hands together in a pleading manner) without knowing what to do. The young lady shook her head quickly and turned, ''Uh... Miss Adelinde! who is she?''
The head housemaid entered the same hall accompanied by two more maids, still tying her apron around her back. At that moment, you wouldn't be able to explain who you were, or how or why you were there; if they called you an intruder, you would probably agree.
Silence settled in as the four women stared at you, each with a different reaction. "Does Master Diluc have a girlfriend?" the newcomer whispered, "He's been receiving some letters decorated with hearts," the other replied, "Stop nonsense; it's Donna who sends those things to him," another retorted. Adelinde raised her hand, signaling for silence. The three adjusted their posture and shut their mouths. She took a step forward, "You obviously spent the night here…we're pleased to know that our young master has found someone'' smiling softly
oh..........
''T-tha's a mistake, I am not....'' ''There's nothing to be embarassed about, let us serve you a coffe'' Adelinde insisted, approaching cautiously not to alarm anyone. Abruptly, a heavy boot on the stairs made the wood creak; it was him, at the top of the staircase, coat hanging on his forearm. Diluc looked directly at you "I thought I told you to wait until I came to your room," he said in a quiet, emotionless tone as he descended the stairs. He draped his coat over your shoulders then continued down until he reached the maids.
"Before any assumptions begin, [Name] is not what you're thinking... but treat her as such."
The maids exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of confusion and curiosity. Adelinde nodded respectfully, her eyes darting between Diluc and you. "Of course, Master Diluc," she said, her voice steady despite the unexpected turn of events.
Diluc's gaze lingered on you for a moment longer before he turned away towards his office. you followed him with a surprised look like a child as the maids led you to another room...

diluc ragnvindr x reader
warnings: none, just fluff, diluc just raising my standards higher by the second.
happy birthday, mr husband. thank you for making me simp so hard that i can't even concentrate on studying for my semester exams tomorrow. WHAT IS THAT BIRTHDAY ART?! IT'S ILLEGAL.
Tumblr media
the whole of mondstadt witnessed how their uncrowned king fell in love.
for them, it was like watching a romance movie, seeing how the main character slowly changed, bit by bit.
at first, the glance that was directed at you was of indifference, diluc just noting what drink you wanted as you stuttered it out from beside lisa, pushing your drink towards you before tending to another customer.
then was the look that showed acknowledgement when lisa introduced you as a junior from sumeru, who came to mondstadt to work under her. all he did was nod, sparing you a glance. nothing more, nothing less.
the next change in the way he looked towards you was something a lot of people noticed, but only one witnessed. the way he looked and acknowledged you with respect everytime you passed him, giving a small nod whenever your gazes met. the reason will always remain a mystery to the people of the city of freedom.
not to a certain cat allergic archon, though. he did not mean to pry, but who in their right mind would ignore a scene that played straight out of a novel when you happened to stumble upon it? not him, definitely.
so he watched, slowly sipping from his bottle as you patched the cat that diluc was holding, eyes blown wide with panic but hands as steady a mountain. he did not know what happened before, but it wasn't hard to guess.
though, even the bard wasn't so nosy as to look on when diluc's gaze shifted from the cat to you.
the change from respect to adoration was gradual, but not subtle by any means.
the more the time the two of you spent together, the stronger the gaze grew. it still held the respect from before, but the adoration just settled in alongside it, never to leave.
it was kaeya who got to witness the addition of absolute tenderness in his brother's eyes. he was heading back towards his quarters after a stroll with sister rosaria, that's when he noticed you both, lost in each other's embrace. so much so that even as a drunkard passed you, loudly singing, neither of you even showed a sign of breaking the hug.
the tenderness directed towards you when the hug finally broke sent kaeya back to his childhood, when his big brother had almost the same look but directed towards him. that was when he knew that the dark knight hero did not have any plans to let you go.
affection that made it's way into the eyes of the eldest son of ragnvindr was what adelinde noticed first.
the night was cold, strong winds and heavy rain hit mondstadt. she was waiting for the winery's master to come back, towel ready in hand.
soon enough, he did return but with his hand clutching onto a figure behind him, both panting heavily as their clothes dripped the water down onto the carpet.
ever the gentleman, diluc thanked her politely before grabbing the towel from her hands and leading you towards the fireplace, making you sit in front of it while drying your hair with the towel in his hands.
the head maid was about to leave but the look in her young master's eyes made her feet freeze to the ground, heart fluttering as she witnessed them shine after almost 4 years.
adelinde hoped with all her heart that you would never leave the red haired man behind before she strolled back to her bedroom.
the love that spread into his gaze was for only you to witness.
love that sent your head reeling as soon you your eyes fluttered open, still in his embrace as he slowly cupped your cheek. the small, soft smile that settled onto his face was enough to send your heart into a rampage, feeling both as if you're drowning but also as if the you took a breath of the most fresh air this world possibly had to offer, simultaneously.
the chuckle that left him when you cuddled into his embrace, hiding your face in his chest, did not make it any better.
your situation only worsened when he pressed a sweet kiss onto your head and pulled you closer, whispering;
'wish i could stay like this forever.'
this man was a hazard to your heart.

📂ㅤRATHER YOU THAN THEM.ㅤ. . .ㅤdiluc x sibling!reader ★
synopsis. diluc is the shining star of this party, and every woman in this grand ballroom wishes to dance with mondstadt's most eligible bachelor. but what they didn't expect, was for him to ask his younger sibling to dance instead.
Tumblr media
If looks could kill, one cannot deny that if you were literally anybody else in the entirety of Teyvat, you would be long dead and buried by now. But alas, you are yourself, and therefore you are lucky. The female attendees of this grand celebration would be utterly foolish to direct their jealous gazes in your direction, as you are a member of the Ragnvindr family, and therefore not a rival.
So, instead of the bitter looks which would have been expected once Diluc held his hand out to you, asking if you wished to dance, that which you received were merely ones of disappointment. After all, it only makes sense for a single man uninterested in romance to invite a sibling instead.
"Are you serious?" Was the only response to this action that you could come out with at the time, lowering the glass from your lips and peering at him quizzically. The look in his eyes was serious, and you were unsure of what that could possibly mean. "I thought you didn't like to dance. Especially in front of people."
"I too, was under that same impression," A teasing voice piped up from beside you, which raised a slight irritation inside of Diluc the very instance his ears picked it up. If your attention wasn't solely on your older brother at the time, you would have noticed the beautiful way in which Kaeya's eyes widened once he noticed Diluc bow his upper body towards you, almost spitting his drink out. But unfortunately, you were not lucky enough to witness such a sight. "What, oh what has changed your mind on this occasion, Master Diluc?"
Red eyes flicked to the side in slight annoyance, and a quiet click of the tongue could be heard. But before Kaeya could say anything more to sour Diluc's mood, you reached your hand out to take his quickly.
"So that's how it is.." Closing your eyes and raising your chin up with a grin, you made sure to hold your brother's hand as if he was your knight in shining armor as you walked your way around him. He stood up straight and turned his body to prevent your quick movement from injuring his arm. With a hand on your hip, he observed as you turned your head to look at him with that smug expression of yours. "Well then, if you're finally going to ask me to dance after years of refusing to, then I am going to indulge in my younger self's fantasies of being treated like royalty while dancing with a trusty prince. If I may."
It took a moment for Diluc to comprehend your words, and once he understood that this was truly something that you'd been waiting for since you were young, he nodded his head. "Very well."

diluc sighed softly against the shell of your ear, his voice light with love as he buried his face into your neck, the soft fabric of the dress you wore brushed his face roughly as he continued to bask in your warmth. an arm wrapped loosely around your waist and the other held in the hand you kept against your heart for him to feel it.
even as you live in this moment, even if your last name is ragnvindr now and even if he pledged his love to you for the rest of eternity. even if he was breathing at this moment, feeling you keep him close and sway to the song the bards sang, diluc could never believe his life took such a turn for the best. years ago if someone were to say that the young master were to be a happy married man to such a beautiful and outright angelic person such as yourself, diluc would have call them a madman and sunk further into his unstable lifestyle.
and yet, here was the man into his glory holding the lady he loved the most.
kaeya was proud of him, not that the captain with a lack of cavalry would admit to it, his brother did in fact grow. diluc never cared much for himself in the past, hair tied back so tight it had kaeya wondering how he was not loosing his hair. he looked terrible on his off days and didn't even bother to live outside work. but now, his older brother was living, the dark circles reduced to nearly nothing and groomed himself up nicely. diluc looked happy, and for that kaeya was too.
"now, i do certainly apologize for the interruption to the celebrations," jean's voice and the clinking of spoon to cup commanded the guests attention. there weren't many, only close friends and family members you bothered to share the news of to attended. "but, as in preparation with our kind bards, may the bride and groom please join me up here for the first dance?" she asked with a gentle tone of sweet adoration and love for her dear friends, jean herself couldn't believe this was happening in front of her eyes.
"ready, mr ragnvindr?" you murmured quietly, feeling his arm leave your body and press against your lower back. "of course, mrs ragnvindr," he played along as he walked up to jean with you beside him. the acting grandmaster nodded before lifting gloved hands to applaud while walking away.
stepping forward to face you, the red haired man lifting the hand you placed in his higher and his other on your waist. you raised a hand to his shoulder, straightening out the irritating wrinkle in the overcoat he wore before placing it firmly against him. diluc nodded over to the bards, they smiled and nodded back before they began playing the song of the first dance.
a simple waltz was the dance you decided to do, mostly because throughout the wedding planning storm, you didn't have much time to spend on practice of a different one and it was what diluc knew since his father had adelinde teach him. it was simple enough for you follow along.
diluc smiled softly before he began moving, stepping forward with you following his steps. the music swayed your bodies in a delicate melody of gentle lyres and flutes. each of the bards, no more than five of them volunteered to play music for the man who indirectly grew their careers (diluc still would pay each of other handsomely), hummed lowly a tune similar to the music they made. it surrounded the both of you, moving in sync as diluc guided most of your movements with his own.
"love you," you felt the words slip from your lips while the hand you had on his shoulder slid up to the nape of his neck pushing his head down to press your foreheads together. sighing softly before humming along with the music. "i love you too, darling." he pressed a kiss to your forehead before moving his arm tighter around your waist. his warmth smothered you, pleasant against the cooler winds of the night.
the fairy lights lit the scene so elegantly, hair shone golden, the beads of your dress and the shiny applicant of his suit caught the light. the music engulfed you in a world of your own, no one else mattered in the moment. only him, only you. the only thing missing was the crowns that would sit on both of your heads, shiny in colour but fit for the king and queen of mondstadt. albeit uncrowned, no one said otherwise.
"hey, love you so much dear."
soft chuckles and little mumbles of the guests caught vaguely diluc's attention, most of which were off comments of how beautiful a pair you made with him or how jealous someone was of either of you. but you didn't bother much, only moving your hand to his cheek and tilting the man to kiss you, ever tender, ever the loving person he was to do.
he could never stop thanking you for being his, for helping him break such a torturous routine that killed himself inside. but now he was living, by the side of his lover and proud of who he has grown into. proud of the person who he married and who looked after him through the rough times.

Sinful Constellation
genre: angst
Everybody knew that their soulmates' constellations were imprinted into their bodies once they turned 16, but why did Diluc dread getting his constellation?  Why did he not want to know his soulmate? He, himself never knew. Maybe it was because of the possibility of the person being someone he hated. Loathed? Maybe.
But he couldn’t focus on that now since he still had duties to attend to; being one of the knights of Favonius, that is. He was focused on his work, dedicated, and simply loyal. He enjoyed his time with his friends and brother, it truly felt like his second home.
Although, everything in his life changed when he turned 18. His birthday. The day his father died due to a delusion and how his brother was a traitor. Did the world resent him? Did he do something to deserve this? Was the Anemo Archon punishing him? Nothing mattered anyway, he left the knights at the end, his trust being broken by the only people he truly cared for.
He couldn’t trust the knights to protect Mondstadt after that incident; so he took in the role of the ‘Dark Knight Hero’ to protect the Mondstadt citizens from lurking abyss mages at night. He’s done this every night in Mondstadt, successfully protecting Mondstadt and its people from harm.
Diluc planned to go out on a mission at night. A fatui harbinger was spotted inside the city walls of Mondstadt and he couldn’t let that side– He’ll catch whoever that is and bring justice.
He’s hated– no, loathed the fatui ever since his father died, vowing to never associate himself with the fatui in any way possible.
At night, he finally set out his plan, tying his hair back into a high ponytail as he tucked his vision inside his shirt so that the enemy thought he had no vision. He clenched and unclenched his fists as the chains around his fingers fit perfectly onto his hand, giving him more stability in his grip.
“Adeline, don’t wait for me.”
He curtly said before leaving the winery, already heading towards the base near the city, given that he had already found every clue leading to where the harbinger was residing in.
The domain was filled with traps, which he skillfully avoided.
‘Were the traps made by a five-year-old…?’
He thought, raising his eyebrow as his red eyes scanned the room, noting every nook and cranny there was, even going as far as to count the number of barrels and crates there were.
The enemies he’s encountered weren’t difficult for him to kill; just a bunch of cicin mages and hydro gunslingers. He almost scoffed at how easy the domain was, with no sight of the harbinger. He almost thought of the possibility that the harbinger had already fled, but he was quickly proven wrong when two hydro blades ambushed him from the back.
He was quick to barely block it with his claymore, having been caught off-guard by the sudden attack. Diluc put some distance between him and the perpetrator, and he noted that the man had freckles, ginger hair, eyes devoid of emotion, and a look of… Shock? Why?
He shook his head as he charged forward, wanting to apprehend the man, but the harbinger just defended himself, not making any moves on fighting the angered Ragnvindr.
Diluc could feel himself get tired with each hit he blew toward the ginger, fury clouded his mind as his anger fueled him to keep going, but he was still human, so after a while, his attacks became disoriented.
The ginger on the other hand, just kept defending himself, looking at Diluc with pleading eyes to stop. He couldn’t help but notice his constellation glowing on Diluc’s back, he just hoped that he would stop his barrage of attacks.
Once Diluc hit the final blow, he created some distance between them, wondering why the freckled man wasn’t attacking. The room was filled with a thick tension, heavy panting was the only sound filling the silence-filled space.
The once clean and put-together look of Diluc, was now a mess, his ponytail falling down as his clothes were wrinkled and dirtied. Once he finally got the strength to look up; the first thing he noticed was the open shirt of the ginger– and his constellation being imprinted onto his chest.
“No.. no, no, no, no–”
He recited like a mantra, his weapon being discarded onto the ground as he rushed forward to look at Childe’s constellation better. He couldn’t believe it, he was overwhelmed, a sob threatening to escape his lips as he looked at his constellation being imprinted onto Childe’s chest.
Once, twice, thrice– he was his soulmate, whether he liked it or not. The sudden realization finally dawned on him, looking directly into Childe’s devoid eyes in disbelief, he couldn’t help but shake and hunch down, his hands gripping onto Childe’s shirt tightly, not wanting to believe that he was his soulmate.
And Childe couldn’t do anything but look down at him, holding Diluc’s waist with comfort. He quickly realized that Diluc didn’t want to be his soulmate, and that crushed him. He was looking forward to finally meeting his soulmate too.

~Diluc Ragnvindr~
Tumblr media
It's been a month since you and your future husband Diluc have been engaged and you both were really happy! Right now, you both were at a Bridal shop, picking out some dresses that you think would look nice on you, you found one that was a beautiful color of light lavender...it was so beautiful...so you went to a changing room and put it on. Meanwhile Diluc was sitting on a couch talking with his brother, Kaeya.
‘’Kaeya...I keep telling you that I don’t want a pink colored suit....’’ The red-haired said with a sigh and Kaeya on the other side of the phone just chuckled
‘’Whatever you say dear brother~, Oh! I have to go now..I have a meeting starting bye~’’ Before Diluc could say bye Kaeya hanged up making Diluc irritated at his brothers' behavior...seriously can't he be at least polite?
‘’Mr. Ragnvindr!’’ The shops keeper called out to him; He looked up from his phone raising a brow
‘’Mrs. y/n would like you to come to the fitting room~’’ The lady said with a smile He nodded and got from the couch and went to the fitting rooms
‘’Love? Are you there?’’ He asked ‘’Yea....come in!’’ He heard your voice at the other side of the door.
He nodded and opened the door.....
Master Diluc has stopped working exe.
There you were...in all your beautiful glory....
You wearing a beautiful light lavender dress that fitted you so perfectly, He almost fell on his knees by just looking at you...how could you be so beautiful? You were just standing there awkwardly, thinking that he doesn't like it...
‘’Uhm...do you not like it?’’ You asked looking at him, He widened his eyes and quickly said ‘’no’’
He went closer to you and held your hand with your wedding ring on and he kissed it blushing slightly....
‘’You've got it all wrong love...your...so beautiful. That I almost forgot to breath’’ he said with so much love and admiration in his eyes
This time it was your turn to blush....oh Diluc...making you fall involve with him all over again....
~Kaeya Alberich~
Tumblr media
‘’Hmm...how about this one babe?’’ Kaeya said while holding a dress in front of you, ‘’eh..no..too much.’’ You said shaking your head and looking back at the pile of wedding dresses.
You both currently at a bridal shop shopping for dresses for you guys' wedding! Even if your wedding was in June which was months away...you both couldn’t contain your excitements~
Suddenly Kaeya’s phone started ringing, ‘’Oh! Sorry baby I gotta take this’’ he said as he takes out his phone from his pocket.
You nod not taking your attention off the dresses and he took off somewhere private at the shop. Even when planning your wedding you both were still busy with work which you guys didn’t mind since Kaeya wanted you guys' wedding to be amazing..but...in all honesty you just wanted it to be simple and just get married to him...but it makes him happy..it makes you happy too...
You sigh getting up to stretch ‘’None of these dresses are my type...hmm..’’ You looked around and spotted the shops keeper, you called out to her, and she went over to you asking if you need any assistance.
‘’May I know where your other dresses are?’’ You asked politely with a small smile She nodded and you guys started walking to another side of the shop which had more wedding dresses, but this time they were all less decorated and bumpy
You looked through some and...whoa! Your eyes sparkled as you held a very beautiful ivory pink it was simple yet very pretty and you liked it!
You asked where the fitting room was to the shop's keeper, and she happily directed it to you. You went to the fitting room and changed excited to see Kaeya’s reaction to it....
Kaeya said goodbye to his employee at work and hanged up, going by the place where you were supposed to be, but you were gone....he looked around and asked the shops keeper where you were she told him that you went to the fitting room to change into a wedding dress that you found~
Instantly his eyes widened and sparkled, and he rushed to get to the fitting room knocking on the door calling out your name....
When you said he could come in....he couldn’t contain his excitement and opened the door widely...and he couldn’t believe his eyes....
You were standing there...smiling..whilst holding your eyes together....
omg...you looked amazing...
‘’Are you..an angel?’’ He asked as he walked over to you, you blushed and giggled ‘’Your so corny hehehehe..’’ He smiled and pulled you by the waist and kissed you passionately
He broke off the kiss and looked at you in the eyes with love and admiration...as well as...something else....
‘’How can you be so sexy and so beautiful at the same time?’’ He asked kissing you once more this time with lust...
I hope you're not too loud y/n....
Tumblr media
You guys made it to the end!
I hope you guys enjoyed this :3

A/N: For @chaeyazine! Childe/Kaeya banter is way too flirty and sly for me to keep up but I tried.
Inazuma Unlimited’s headquarters were big. No, they were more than that—it was hard to describe the tall, imposing building with a single word. The bottom half of the building had floor-length lilac windows, with delicate flowers stenciled in eye-catching patterns. The blooms wound around the glass until they reached the halfway point, at which black-tinted windows like thunder clouds took over.
Kaeya whistled low as he took in the sight before him. “Ostentatious, huh?”
“Threatening,” Lumine disagreed, tugging on her tight black dress. Kaeya had to give it to Lisa; she really knew how to turn their rough-and-tumble coworker into a captivating beauty. Even Lumine’s usual flower hair-clip had been replaced with a more fragile-looking lotus bloom.
“Don’t tear it before we get the job done.” Kaeya adjusted his tie slightly. It had been a while since he’d had to dress so formally and the three-piece felt suffocating. Hand in his pocket, he offered his arm. “Ready?”
Pulling her short skirt one last time, Lumine sighed before slipping her hand into the crook of his arm. “As ready as I ever will be. You’re certain we’ll find out about my brother here?”
“Not entirely, but this is your best chance at investigating.” Kaeya smiled genially, nodding at other couples as he led her to the front doors. “Inazuma doesn’t open its doors every day and without a company badge, you can’t enter. If it weren’t for their charity gala, we’d have to get in the hard way.”
Lumine raised a brow. “And they’ll just let us in now?”
“Lisa and I prepared a few things in advance for today.” Kaeya glanced at her and smirked. “It’s not often we get a chance to snoop in the company’s records.”
“So you’re after something.” Lumine plastered on a fake smile as they reached security.
“Obviously.” Kaeya wore a matching grin as he held out a gold-foiled envelope. “I trust everything’s in order?”
A bald man in a black suit took the envelope. Pulling out the invitation, he glanced at his phone to compare the name. Satisfied, he returned the invitation. “Thank you for coming, Mr. and Mrs. Ragnvindr.”
Lumine’s grip on his arm tightened, her jaw clenching as she tried to hold her composure. It was only when they were safely ushered inside that she finally released the shaky laugh she was holding. She directed them to an alcove in the lobby, away from prying eyes as the other guests headed straight to the company’s ballroom.
When they were certain no one was around, she turned to him and asked, “And Diluc?”
“Knows nothing. You want to break the news to him, honey, or should I?” Kaeya smirked, cupping her cheek and winking.
“Oh, he’ll kill you.” Lumine chortled as she slipped out of his grasp. “You better enjoy this party; it might be your last.”
“Planning to anyways. I’ve always liked mixing business and pleasure.” Kaeya raked a hand through his hair, ruffling it up just so. People liked a rogue; it was hard to resist a rakish charm. “Two hours?”
“Is that really enough to investigate a building this big?” Lumine asked doubtfully, looking up at the large, arching ceiling. The lobby alone was massive, almost three stories tall.
“We don’t need the whole building. Just the key rooms we talked about before.” Kaeya studied her, taking in her nervous lip-bite, the way she clenched her fists, the soft intake of breath. “Relax, I’ve never failed a mission.”
“Never?” She eyed him suspiciously.
“Never.” Kaeya shrugged. “Guess I’m lucky that way.”
“Luck had nothing to do with it.” She stared at him blankly before laughing. “Two hours. I’ll find you in the ballroom?”
“I’ll save you a champagne glass.” Kaeya glanced at his wrist, making note of the time. “Just like Cinderella, we’ll disappear at midnight.”
“Dramatic much?” Lumine breathed in, breathed out, and then nodded. “Good luck.”
And with that, she disappeared down a side hallway.
It was a good division of work, if Kaeya said so himself. And he would, because it was a great division of work. Lumine had always been terrible at talking to others and extracting info. It’s a problem he’s never had.
Running a hand through his hair, Kaeya walked to the center of the lobby, following the small signs guiding him to the ballroom on the other side of the building. A second set of security yanked open the heavy doors, unleashing a cacophony of sound.
Inside, couples twirled across the dance floor while business partners loitered around the fringes, talking to one another about future profits. There were so many potential targets, Kaeya didn’t know where to start. Perhaps he should go after the gaudiest wealthy; they usually had a hard time hiding their accomplishments, so eager to prove their standing in society.
Or perhaps—
Kaeya spotted a familiar red. He stopped next to the buffet, turning subtly to confirm his suspicions.
There, standing on the other end of the room, was Childe. Or Tartaglia, as he was often called. He looked slightly bored as he flirted with a guest, his collar loose and rumpled.  So Snezhnaya was here too.
Perhaps Inazuma had something valuable hidden after all.
Childe looked up and Kaeya realized a split second too late that he had been staring. Worse, that he had been caught staring—the redhead’s eyes widened and the man smirked before making a beeline toward him.
There went any chance of a quiet night.
-x-
Childe was bored. Beyond bored. What was the Inazuma company’s motto again? Eternity? He was bored to eternity and beyond.
When the Tsaritsa ordered him to infiltrate Inazuma, he had originally planned to sneak in. The building was tall, he could parachute down or climb the walls. If he cut a hole through an obscure window, he could be in and out without anyone noticing. It could be fun.
What ended up happening instead was Signora forcing him to attend the ball instead, telling him to not make a mess for once. Like she was one to talkMondstadt Incorporated was still on edge after she’d stolen their latest development.
He sighed, looking over the rim of his champagne glass. The people here were rich and thirsty—in more ways than one. It wouldn’t be all that hard to extract something out of them. Hell, he could take one home with him, make it a night’s fun before reporting back. It was easy, but everything about this job was easy.
Maybe he could take the tall, dark, and handsome one by the buffet. With his coiffed blue hair and black patch that gave him a rugge—
Childe almost choked on his drink. Kaeya. He was ogling Kaeya of all people. What was Mondstadt’s top spy doing here?
His lips curled into a smirk as he grabbed another glass from a passing server. Childe sauntered over, his smile growing wider as Kaeya gave him a tired look. Whatever the answer, this would definitely make the night interesting. The last time they’d clashed, it’d ended in a draw.
How would he fare this time?
“Sooo,” Childe drawled when he got close enough, holding out the second drink. “What brings a man like you to a place like this?”
“I could ask the same of you,” Kaeya replied breezily, accepting the drink. He stared at the clear, yellow-tinted champagne before taking a small sip. “The Tsaritsa’s working you over time?”
“Well, this isn’t the worst place to work, now is it?” Childe chuckled lightly, glancing around the room for any of Kaeya’s ‘friends’. From what he knew of Mondstadt, they rarely worked alone. “Parties are fun.”
“Mmm, that I can agree.” Kaeya’s tone turned sly, his words a littler sharper as he added, “It’s a good place to cut loose. Though, you don’t need an excuse to do that, do you?”
Childe flinched internally. He had an inkling about what Kaeya meant. Feigning ignorance, he lied, “I take my work seriously.”
“My, so you seriously tried to burn Liyue’s headquarters?” Kaeya pressed. His innocent expression was deceiving.
Childe resisted the urge to pout. He’d half-forgotten Lumine worked for them—no wonder he knew of their fight at the Liyue Co-op. Still, he could recover from this. It was always a cat and mouse game with Kaeya; it’s what made things interesting.
“How about I show you how seriously I work?” Childe ran a hand through his hair. Better to just take the direct approach now. “I take it we’re here for the same thing.”
“Mondstadt doesn’t steal technology,” Kaeya replied tartly. He took another sip and watched Childe over the rim of his glass. “We don’t need to.”
“And that’s how you get robbed,” Childe pointed out. “But we’re both after info, and we’re both here.”
“You’re not proposing a team up, are you?” Kaeya pressed a hand to his chest, mocking fake shock. “And here I thought you were a lone wolf.”
Childe snorted. “That’s boring. A competition, however, is much more fun. Let’s see who gets Inazuma’s secrets first.”
Kaeya eyed him, considering the matter. Then he sighed and nodded. “It’s not like I can stop you.”
“Conceding defeat already?” Childe teased.
“On the contrary.” As a server passed by, Kaeya swapped his empty glass for a new one. “Don’t come crying when you’re empty handed.”
And with a wink, he disappeared into the crowd.
-x-
There were few things Kaeya excelled at more than intelligence gathering. The businesspeople gathered here, the lawyers and CEOs and investors, were ordinary people with ordinary vices. It didn’t take more than a few drinks here, a few flirts there, and perhaps a discreet kiss or two to get what he wanted out of them.
And what he wanted was information. Not information about the company’s owner, about Baal and her iron fist, but about an ordinary coworker.
Childe had already disappeared, no doubt heading up to Baal’s office. There would certainly be important documents up there, potential prototypes, all sorts of data that was certainly worth a mint with the right buyer.
But unlike Snezhnaya, Mondstadt wasn’t after simple financial gain. There had been rumours of whistle-blowing, of dirty secrets the company would prefer to keep under wraps. Their inside source had talked about a fake employee, a Beelzebul. The kind of employee no one really saw but all assumed existed. The kind of person all sorts of documents, finances, and more could disappear into.
And after an hour of plying his trade, Kaeya knew exactly where to look: the third floor, the fifth cubicle in the second row. Beelzebul’s ‘desk’, not that it ever got used.
Kaeya glanced at his watch as he hurried up the stairs, taking them two at a time. He still had an hour left. Plenty of time to get there and back before Lumine—he paused at the thought. Lumine would check Baal’s office. Childe would be tearing the place apart. There was a real possibility of Liyue 2.0 occurring upstairs. He’d have to make this quick.
The office floor was dark and empty. Kaeya quickly scanned the room, confirming no guards or overworking employees were around before he entered. Beelzebul’s desk was next to a pillar, an easy enough marker to spot and move to.
Her desk was nondescript, an utterly ordinary appearance in a sea of mediocrity. A single computer, like everyone else’s. An unergonomic chair that didn’t quite spin right. A keyboard with crumbs on it from ‘lunches’ at the desk. It was almost too ordinary. There weren’t photos of friends and family, nothing personal to indicate a person sat there. Even the drawers were filled with mundane papers, the usual company guides and code of conduct.
“What are you looking for here?” Childe asked.
Startled, Kaeya banged his knee on the drawer in his bid to turn around. Muffling a curse, he scowled at the man standing behind him, waving nonchalantly as though they were still on that dance floor and not in the middle of company espionage.
“What are you doing here?” Kaeya asked bluntly, rubbing his knee. It throbbed lightly,
“You know me.” Childe shrugged, pushing past him to examine the drawer. “I’m lazy, so I’d rather just follow you than do any of the work myself.”
“Lazy? Is that what they call it these days?” Kaeya took a deep breath, recentering himself. He should have noticed Childe earlier, but then again, if investigations were his forte, the physical side was Childe’s. There were some things that couldn’t be overcome even with prep.
“Something like that.” Childe idly flipped through the papers. “So, what do you have here?”
There was little point in hiding it now; Childe wasn’t an idiot. “Why don’t you look and find out?” Kaeya suggested as he slid out the computer’s keyboard.
Well, he didn’t have to make it easy.
Childe gave him a grumpy look. “Why so secretive?” he complained even as he dug through the papers.
“I thought this was a competition? Unless…” Kaeya smiled innocently. “You’re giving up?”
The only response he got back was a dismissive snort.
The computer was locked, but this wasn’t Kaeya’s first hack. He could hear Childe rifle through papers next to him, hear the way the drawers slid open and closed, the knocking and checks for a false bottom or other surprise.
“Give me a little space,” Childe asked as he poked his head under the desk. There was just a little more than enough room for him to fit his head and shoulders in. A soft rap told Kaeya he was checking for a secret compartment.
“If you wanted space, you shouldn’t have followed me,’ Kaeya retorted, rolling his eyes when Childe gently smacked his leg.
Soon, the only noise in the room was the soft hum of a computer, the quiet tap of a keyboard, and a grumpy grunt whenever Childe adjusted his position. As expected, the desktop was as clean as a whistle, containing only the bare bones applications the company provided. There weren’t any encrypted or hidden files of note.
“I think I found something,” Childe murmured. There was a ripping sound as he yanked on the carpet.
“What?” Kaeya lowered his head, already formulating plans on how to get it away from Childe.
Childe grunted. After a few seconds, he sat up, holding up a small object. “A USB.”
“Anyone here?” a stranger called out and Kaeya dropped to the floor as a guard entered the room.
-x-
Childe could say with confidence he had experienced a lot of strange things during his work but being trapped in a cubicle with Kaeya had not been one of them. They crouched next to each other, side by side as they waited with bated breath for the guard to do his rounds.
The room had been dark, his flashlight barely bright enough to notice. Childe resisted the urge to click his tongue, even more so to run out and knock out the interloper. The Tsaritsa had asked for delicacy this time, and she’d be angry if he made a commotion twice in a quarter.
Well, that and it was hard to move with Kaeya pressed so close to him. Their legs were almost glued to each other, their shoulders bumping as they adjusted their positions. Kaeya’s long hair tickled his chin whenever Kaeya craned his head to check the guard.
In another situation, Childe could make a joke about the whole thing, but now he was trapped with the silence and his thoughts.
And oh, did he have thoughts.
Especially when Kaeya wobbled slightly, almost falling into his lap before straightening up. Would the Tsaritsa get angry if he had a one-night stand with the enemy? Maybe if he disguised it as a research gathering—
“He’s gone,” Kaeya whispered, carefully straightening. He glanced around the room before nodding. “Let’s get out.”
“Aw, it’s over already?” Childe slipped on his usual smirk as he clambered to his feet. He smirked. “Well, I guess I won the competition?”
“And yet, you have no idea what I found.” Kaeya sauntered off, his hips swaying slightly, and Childe was certain that was on purpose.
The trip down was as uneventful as the trip up, and it wasn’t long before they were on the lobby floor, surrounded by guests as they started to head home for the night. In the distance, Childe spotted Lumine, her eyes fierce as she regarded him.
Kaeya waved. “That’s my cue to leave.”
“You didn’t find anything, did you?” Childe guessed, smirking when Kaeya didn’t say anything. “I knew it!”
“I wouldn’t say nothing,” Kaeya corrected, tugging on Childe’s tie and pulling him down. He leaned closer, his breath ghosting Childe’s face. When Childe shuddered, his sly smile grew wider. “You certainly react interestingly.”
And then, he let go, turning on his heel and disappearing into the crowd. Lumine gave Childe a nod before slipping her arm through his.
For a moment, it was all Childe could do to stare at the man.
Then he patted his pocket and silently swore. The USB was gone.
The Tsaritsa was going to kill him.

rare pair game: Diluc/Navia or Wanderer/Furina
Both are extremely cute, though I'll have to go with Diluc/Navia because I was 100% run over by a stray fic just from thinking about it.
There are over 1k words of silliness under the cut.
*
Diluc and Navia met at work. Well at least he was working, trying to secure the distribution rights to Fonta in Mondstadt territory, and perhaps find a foothold in the elusive Fontaine wine market through those fascinating Fonta vending machines. So far, he had only managed to negotiate half of the deal, well three quarters if you counted convincing Mr. Heinry to give Dawn Winery Special Edition grape-flavored Fonta a shot.
“As much as I'd like our contract to be mutually beneficial, Master Diluc, I must inform you our lawyers are still working out some potential complications on the distribution method we discussed.”
“Potential complications?”
And then the she barreled into their meeting. Miss Navia Caspar, the Demoiselle of the Spina di Rosula, tall and gracious and oh so golden in her fine dress and ribboned hair. It almost made him overlook the fact that she was accompanied by two armed men with the heft of bruisers, or that the umbrella in her hands smelled of gunpowder.
“Dawn Winery has no place in Fontaine,” she said, her voice level, her eyes on Diluc, locking him in place. “Our wineries are family-owned and Spina di Rosula won't have them out of business because the big shots at the Institute decided to make a backroom deal with some foreign mogul!”
“Miss Caspar--” Mr. Heinry started, his tone clearly exasperated.
Diluc stopped him with a gesture, said, “No, let her speak.” Then, turning to her, he smiled and said, “Mr. Heinry was just telling me there were obstacles to our strategy. Care to join us and discuss this in more depth?”
A look at the table and the seat he had offered her, then she turned her face from it. “I'm not here to negotiate, just to inform.”
She refused to sit, thus politeness meant Diluc had to stand. “I understand you care deeply about this matter, but neither Dawn Winery nor myself have any interest in taking anyone out of business, this is not what this strategy is about.”
For some reason she took those words as a challenge, closing the space between them, umbrella clutched in both hands, her men spreading around the room like wings.
“Oh, so you mean to say Master Diluc Ragnvindr isn't aware that his fast-moving, things-breaking ways of doing business aren't exactly following the letter of the law in Fontaine?”
If he was to bottle the energy in those bright blue eyes, Diluc could possibly rule the world. But admiring her meant he hadn't answered, which probably made him look guilty. And, when Mr. Heinry spoke he just made it all worse.
“Nonsense, we have consulted with our lawyers and they said there were no laws against the introduction of foreign products regardless of method or breadth of distribution,” he said. “If you disagree, you should raise a formal challenge with the courts and see if they give you reason. Which won't happen unless there's chance of societal disruption. And, truly, how can wine sales disrupt society?”
That was something Diluc was very ready to answer, but he had no need. He saw how Miss Caspar smiled before she turned the full strength of that gaze upon Mr. Heinry.
“Well then it's good that our people have already organized to mail Maison Gestion and Maison Cardinalice requesting a review of the practices regarding the vending machines. We even organized a little protest to make sure they pay attention.”
“Protest?” he scoffed, gesturing at the open window, “I see no protest!”
At this, Diluc noticed the voices outside had grown in volume. They also had a rhythm, like they were chanting something.
She giggled, waving his comment away with a flick of the wrist. “Small thing, you know, placards and chants. No fires or anything like that. It would look bad on the cover of the Steambird.”
Diluc wasn't really thinking when he looked out the window to check, so the flashes that almost blinded him took him by foolish surprise. He flinched back, blinking away the afterimages, and bumped into the Demoiselle, soft and silky and scented like a rose by the sea. The sort of perfume you could track through a forest, he thought.
She didn't move away. In fact, she pushed closer, whispering next to his ear, “And would you look at that, I think that over there is Charlotte. Won't you smile to the camera, Master Diluc? You do smile very pretty.”
It was to his utter disgrace that he lost all capacity to speak. Frozen and tongue-tied, it was perhaps easier to notice the movement of the suspicious person that threw the bottle. Danger was easier to understand than whatever Navia got out of him, after all.
“Look out!” he said, before turning to push her out of the way of the incoming projectile. The bottle exploded into a small fire in the place he had been standing. He watched one of the men that had come in with Miss Caspar jump in to put it out, while the other crossed the room to pull her out of Diluc's arms. Thankfully, she was about as embarrassed about it as he was.
“Oh,” she said, “I guess not everyone got that memo about no fires.”
Then she looked from him to Mr. Heinry-- who had thrown himself under a table and was whimpering softly-- before stepping back to the room's entrance. At this, her men filed around her, one keeping her company while the other checked the corridor. Like they expected something. Had been, the whole time.
Considering what he had just witnessed, it made sense, but he couldn't help being curious. Was this common in her life? What sort of life did she live to react to a firebomb with a simple 'oh'? Could he just ask? Perhaps over dinner?
But before he organized his thoughts enough to consider acting, she was gone out the door, head held high and not one lock of golden hair out of place. Absolutely stunning.
*
When she saw who had sent the letter, Navia frowned. What would Diluc Ragvindr want with her after all that in the morning? Is he suing for damages? But if it was that, the letter would have come from his lawyers, right? Right?
Overcome by curiosity, she just ripped the letter open, being greeted by a fresh, early summer type of smell. Navia was still wondering where she, too, could buy deep red ink that smelled of berries when she got to the meat of the letter. Then she had to put it down, cover her face with her hands, and give the tiniest of the screams so no one would show up with a gun.
What does he mean by asking permission to court her? Is he a vampire or something?
“Just ask me on a date you pretty idiot!” she muttered.
And that stopped her cold. Was she into him? Him? Oh, this called for some emergency girl time. Clorinde better be free for lunch.

Rehashing/Redoing Adelinde hcs, now updated to match info of the story:
She is, by birth, Snezhnayan. Her real name is Ada Dorokhova.
She had no family to speak of, save her brother, Lev Dorokhov older than her by five years. The two were raised to join the Fatui ranks, as they had no other family to turn to.
Addie's brother had gone on to become a Pyroslinger. She remained a low-ranking operative, as he kept insisting he didn't want her to take on more dangerous missions. She learned diplomacy and banking instead, as well as picking up the various languages of the other nations and intel-gathering.
She did however learn to use his gun, at his insistence. She became a far better shot than he, even able to shoot a Mora coin from considerable distance with ease. It was this skill that allowed her to join her brother's company, in spite of her lower rank.
While dispatched to Mond, she and Lev took to intermingling with the locals out of uniform. While it was clear they weren't locals, many assumed and were told they were Fontanian to make things easier on them. It was during these times and interacting with the Mondstadt people that her brother began to have doubts about the Fatui's cause and the things they were taught to believe about the other people. He began to think that they could run from the Fatui and live a peaceful life here in Mondstadt. Because of him, she almost began to contemplate such things too
While expressing these thoughts to her, their company leader had overheard and had him arrested, intent on sending him back to Snezhnaya. In the ensuing struggle, Lev had been killed by his fellow Fatui.
She had been beside herself with grief, but even seeing that and knowing just how close the two had been, their superior officer kept telling her it was for the best, as a traitor like that would only hinder their mission. It was that very grief that had her taking up her brother's gun and turning it against her own comrades, slaughtering them all in a fit of rage.
She can scarcely remember anything from her rampage, save her feelings of grief and anger. From the moment she picked up her brother's weapon and took the first shot through her company leader's head, it was all a murky fog.
She does remember coming to and meeting Crepus Ragnvindr however, having stumbled across the Dawn Winery in running from the Fatui's now ravaged camp. She almost killed him too, had his abrupt query about her well-being and clear distressed concern not caught her off-guard.
After he talked her down and hearing her tale, he first offered her his coat to stave off the cold, then a place in his staff and a home in his manor as he helped treat her wounds. She rejected it promptly, not trusting why he would offer such a kindness to a Fatuus, though him outright lying to the knights who happened upon them and the carnage she'd wrought, that she'd been a mercenary who protected him from the Fatui, had been enough to sway her to trust him more. Especially when he'd left his coat in her care, a last comfort he could offer her and a promise to meet again before they'd part.
It would take several meetings after that before she would take his hand and be led home. During that time, she changed her name to a more local-sounding one, and took to using his cover for her, working as a mercenary in the meantime, occasionally running into him at the Angel's Share whenever she'd stop by for business or leisure. Or to observe him and the sort of man he was, to chat with him endlessly whenever his foolish little sun-bright smile would bloom upon seeing her. Each and every time, he'd ask her to come home with him. Each and every time, she would refuse, and tease perhaps he could try better the next time.
She accepted a year after he'd first made his offer.
Apart from being hired as a maid, Adelinde had also served as Crepus' personal aid and guard. She worked hard to hone and maintain her skills in every aspect she could, taking to her role with utmost dedication. It was perhaps this that wound up leading the rest of the staff to fall in behind her without question, even after having been regarded with suspicion by them due to her sudden disappearance. After all, it became all too clear to them that everything she would say and do, it was all for the good of their master.
She did develop feelings for Crepus, but never acted on them, especially after he'd gotten together with Diluc's mother and the lad had been born. She never faulted him for it nor did she dwell on them, much less seek to have them recognized or returned. Rather, she used them as incentive to better care for him and the young boy, even after his mother was out of the picture. This arrangement felt much more comfortable and right to her, anyways. She would never have changed a thing, even looking back now.
She taught Diluc how to use a firearm, as her brother had her, at the curious child's request. Seeing the lad so hard at work to try and improve to match her her did remind her of him at times, which never failed to make her heart ache.
She helped train Elzer in the use of firearms as well, in addition to helping train him to manage the Winery while Diluc grew up. With Elzer, she gave him the extra learnings she'd picked up with the Fatui to ensure he would be the best possible servant for the Ragnvindrs. He is the sole living person in Mond who knows the full extent of her origin, Crepus having been such, previously.
The one who reminded Adelinde of her brother the most though was Kaeya. She saw it in the gentle kindness he exuded, in the love he gave, the shyness he carried himself with yet always pushing himself to stand proud beside his more confident sibling. She saw it in his sharp wit and love of stories, the way his eyes shined in excitement at each and every one. She will never admit it, even if prodded, but it is for that reason that he was her favorite of the two. Still, she doted on both equally, adoring them both with every ounce of love her heart could muster. They were as much family to her, as the others in the staff and Winery came to be.
She and Crepus were both aware of Kaeya's heritage, the man having confided to her that Kaeya's eyes resembled those of Khaenri'ahns from legends he'd read. They both resolved to let the boy come clean at his own pace, as they felt he deserved a home, regardless of his origin, just as she had been given that chance. She made the greatest efforts to ensure he felt as welcomed as she did, that he adjusted well and personally tutored him whenever he needed the extra help. Every effort she could give to make sure he would feel safe in this new home.
Addie did eventually admit her feelings for Crepus some time before Diluc's eighteenth birthday. She had never intended to, but has done so only because he had directly asked her regarding them, and she refused to lie or keep secrets from him. She never had, since the day she'd begun to work for him, after all. As happy as he had been to know of them, and as relieved as she had been to know he was alright with it, they were never truly able to navigate what could come out of them, as Crepus died soon after.
In learning of Diluc's intent to journey to Snezhnaya, she cashed in a few favors with her old mercenary buddies and a few Fatui folk she knew without shadow of a doubt she could still trust to have them look after him the best they could. No doubt he would be hard to locate, with what limited information she could have and provide, but if it could make the difference between life or death for him, she would take every measure she could.
She admitted as much to him when he returned, through relieved tears and choked sobs upon seeing him.
She was not only one of the first to learn of his intents to moonlight as a vigilante, but his greatest supporter. She resolved to ensure not a single alibi of his could slip, to ensure each and every one of the staff would remain nothing but loyal to him, and resolved to personally take care of any 'loose ends' should it really come down to it.
Adelinde has personally stopped many a home invader over the years, from the start of her service to Crepus, to the present day, and never fails to sleep without both her own and her brother's guns prepped and ready at her bedside. She also frequently patrols the manor in the late hours, and there are no shortage of guns specially hidden around the manor for her to make a grab for in emergencies.
No, she will Never tell Diluc where they all are.

Kaeya / Rosaria
tags: childhood friends to lovers, established relationship, domestic fluff, modern au, non-sexual physical touch

☆︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵☆︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵☆
summary: Kaeya and Rosaria reminisce on the past that led to their matching rings.
☆︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵☆︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵☆
Once in a blue moon, Kaeya would ask a question that would leave Rosaria stunned. He once asked her about her dream home after her comments about the Ragnvindr household. At first, she thought about it and realized she had nothing to answer. She was particularly interested in interior decor but not so much in the structure itself.
After a few moments of silence, she expressed how she liked big windows that brought the natural light in. Much like the sliding doors in Varka’s home since it brought in warmth, she once took for granted in the orphanage. Rosaria preferred a house that was not too boxy or too geometrically structured, as she states. She expressed how the exterior could also affect her time there.
"I want a nice, warm, kinda gothic home. I don't want plain whites everywhere." She said, leaning on the school garden railing at lunch. "But… to be honest, I don't really care as much."
Kaeya’s eyes rolled. She said she didn't care but stated specifics down to how she wanted the knobs at the drawers would look like. "You literally said a lot of things. Are you worried I’ll judge you, is that it?." he asked. "Come on, lighten up. Plus take this as a… practice question to when you'd get to date someone."
"Sounds like you're trying to coax me to come to another blind date again." Rosaria grinned and traced the specks of sunlight hitting Kaeya's face from the tree above them. "I'm not interested in another one of those events."
"Then," words he kept deep in his veins and arteries slipped out his tongue. "Imagine I'd come to visit your home. What would it look like?"
She turned away from him and traced the same light from the trees from her hands to her fingertips. "Well…" She smiled and stuck her tongue inside her cheek to prevent herself from showing anymore. "You wouldn't be able to guess because you'd come at 10 pm on a Friday with three bottles of alcohol, that's for sure."
"Hey!"
"But… I'd take you to the kitchen, and there'd be some barstools by my kitchen island. We'd share several glasses like how we already do at your place. You'd complain about your family, and I'd complain about the severe consequences of capitalism on Mondstadt." Rosaria's mind was flooded with the thought of Kaeya by her side for years to come. "You'd hand me a glass of something Diluc taught you, and, for some reason, I'd still be more sober than you."
His hands traced the floor plan in the air. Making sure she doesn't turn, he said. "Oh please, there's not a chance in hell you'd have a higher alcohol tolerance than me."
"We'd spend what little time we have together, and I sober myself up before I drive you home." It agonized her to remind him that they were still friends. "Your partner would be angry at me for letting you drink so much on a weekend."
Kaeya’s lips bled internally, hearing her say those words. He would stay by her side on her soft carpet by the sofa if he had the chance. He visualized exactly what their typical day would look like. He'd lean on her shoulder, and like snow, she'd melt in his. "Do we really have to live that far? I want us to be neighbors, in maybe… 20 years?"
"Fine, we'd live right next to each other." Rosaria said, leaning forward so her face wouldn't show how her brows began to wrinkle her forehead. "We'd have those shared fruit trees in the back though. I'll take whatever sunsettias I can."
"It'll be sour. So sour on your side." Kaeya pushed her shoulder. "I'd still give you the sweet ones since you'd probably have the best house pet. I'd come and visit just to see it."
Rosaria turned to him, pointing to herself, raised eyebrow and all, "You're not even going to acknowledge the homeowner? man, fuck you." She pushed him back.
"Yeah because at least it won't be late to class." The bell rang just as he predicted it. "Last one to Mr. Yang's class doesn't wipe their ass when they take a shit!" Taunting her as they both ran back to their building, all the way at the opposite side of the campus.
"You ass!" Rosaria ran to him and was amused at how easily she caught up. "Last one has to pay for cornetto later." Noticing the passing volleyball and basketball joint varsity jog, she rushed through. Leaving Kaeya trying to move past them. She was then blocked by the construction worker's materials stacked by their path.
No matter the obstacle, they still arrived at their classroom seconds before the afternoon prayer. The same old prayer they memorized even if their ears were blocked with their heartbeats and breaths. The same old prayer neither of them cared to listen to.
As they discussed the relevance of historical events per Mr. Yang's guidance, Kaeya noted every architectural detail Rosaria said to his question. He did his best to hide the fact that the subject of his notetaking was taking a light nap from the history instructor. The breeze of a February afternoon filled the room and fluttered the curtains, perfectly hiding the sleeping girl at the farthest back of the class.
Years passed, and he still kept that same old notebook with the same old prayer engraved at the back. Historical notes filled the front, and several pages at the back were what she said. She, too, kept a similar notebook, except it was her personal journal. It told details about how Kaeya looked that day and what he asked. It was brief. A mere paragraph at least, but it was enough to fill her pages with emotions she felt.
Kaeya asked me what house I wanted to live in. To be honest, I really don't care. A roof, no roof, broken walls, tall fences, fancy windows, none of it matters. He just had to be there.
My home Our home.
He also told me that if we're still single by 30, we should get married for the benefits. It was a passing statement, but I really hoped he would stay a loser so I could be by his side when his back begins to crack when he turns 30.
Kaeya shouldn't have read the contents of his wife's journal from 15 years ago. Now, Rosaria has to explain to him that she's really into him since they were young. Enduring his constant teasing was the worst, especially since he has hard, undeniable, written evidence. That doesn't mean she doesn't retaliate. She often stayed by the kitchen and patio she dreamed of whenever he did peek. That night, he decided to corner her in their bedroom. Reminding him of how much he had loved her since they were 16.
"Looks like someone had a huge crush on me." He said, looming over her just before she slept, continuing to bully her under their blankets. "What's wrong? It's not too late to admit it."
"Oh fuck off! You bought our house with my interests in mind. If anything, you have a huge crush on me." The weight of Rosaria's covers grew as Kaeya rested his body on top of her. Feeling pokes and hearing his lips smack over the duvet, she was kissed on her shoulder, chest, and forehead. At least, that's what it felt like for her. "You have a terrible aim." she peeked over and saw him preparing for that moment.
There are times when Rosaria keeps her journal out in the open. If he can egosurf online, there's a high chance he could egosurf his name through her journals. She ensured it was the one where she told him how much she loved him. Rosaria's cheeks were soft and warm, much like her lips. Kaeya couldn't get enough of it. "Whose got a terrible aim now?" he said, wiping her trial lip stain she put on earlier in the morning. "Look at you, so pretty and red. I think this shade is nice on you."
Rosaria mustered all her strength and rolled Kaeya over. Allowing himself to be rolled in the duvet they always shared. "Hmm… I don't think I'd like it when something isn't transfer-proof, but…" She grabbed his cheeks and placed a new coat on her lips. "I guess I won't mind testing this a few more times on my beloved."
"Rosie?" Kaeya's heart began to race, "please, mercy!!" There was no mercy left for him.
Pinned down, receiving many kisses all over his face, ears, neck, and collarbones. It was quite an eventful evening for the two. Hopefully, they remembered to check their calendars. It was the eve of their first wedding anniversary, after all. It's good that Kaeya is oblivious to Rosaria’s intentional revelation of everything she loves about him. Else, she would’ve been drowning in countless words she couldn't have the strength to say out loud.
"Sit still. I can't kiss your lips if you keep laughing and turning your head away from me." Rosaria held onto his soft cheeks. "Now turn this way and let me make up for the 15 years I didn't say it."
"Oh my fucking god. Rosie, I love you, so please spare me." He pleaded through his dimple smile.
"Not a chance."

Announcement-ish
i realized it's been almost a month since i last posted a short fic here💀 and i wanted to apologize for the lack of content.
tbh, my mind has been hyperfixating on just one fic that i have in mind and so i have been slowly writing it. and no, it isn't just a one-shot. it's a multi-chaptered fic (oc and all too hehe).
Tumblr media
the reason why i'm writing it slowly is because i wanted to gather more lore content so that it can make sense and, well, accurate.
i'm not sure if anyone is interested in it but here is a snippet of my dear oc's lore.
They’re trying to kill each other, was the only thought Anna had as she froze at the sight. She saw Diluc raise his claymore once more as if he had regained his strength and released a huge flaming bird that was flying fast towards her other brother who has yet to recover from whatever attack Diluc threw at him. Anna couldn’t move her feet to push Kaeya away nor could she scream for him to move, not with her body refusing to move and her throat closing up. She can only watch as Diluc’s attack approaches Kaeya.
However, just before it could hit him Kaeya raised his sword at the flaming bird and it was immediately extinguished. She could see the shocked look on Diluc’s face and the pain on Kaeya’s. Anna couldn’t understand it for a hot minute until she looked down and saw the frozen ground Kaeya was standing on and only then did she realize what happened. Kaeya got his vision; a Cryo Vision. Given the circumstances and the look on his face, this was not how Kaeya wanted to receive his vision.
Diluc’s shock was then replaced by a cold look on his face before he looked in Anna's direction. She couldn’t see what was on his face due to her eyes constantly being blurred with tears nor could she even look at his face after what she witnessed. The eldest of the three then returned his gaze to Kaeya, who was still shaking from either exhaustion or pain, and spoke to him. Whatever he told Kaeya was low enough from Anna’s hearing range. Before getting Kaeya to respond, he de-materializes his claymore before walking away.
Anna quickly found the strength to move and rushed towards Kaeya and hugged him tight, unable to find words at the moment. He hugged her back just as tight, maybe tighter, and let out a loud sob. This was the first time she has ever seen her mischievous brother being brought to tears, normally she would tease him about it but the timing would be horrendous. They cried together under the rain for a while before they heard Adelinde and Elzer run towards them with umbrellas and towels. That was the night when Annaliese Ragnvindr's life took a turn.
--------------
Tumblr media
i only wrote the first chapter for this bc i had to write down the plot timelines first and do a little bit of research (*cough cough* their ages and her lovers *cough*), but yeah other than that, the fic will be fully written once its decent enough for me. (this is just me saying im trying to stop myself from adding spice). worry not though, my endgame ship for ragsis has been decided huehuehuehue
also special thanks to @alhaithamsbathtowel for listening to my rants about my OC and being the unfortunate soul of being the first person to find out of my OC's...shenanigans hehehe
oh and i might post a fic for later since i do have another one drafted here. it was originally supposed to be part of my oc's fic, including the thoma weinlesefest fic, but it was too funny for me to not write it.
that's all! thank you for taking your time to read this and for your patience. i will post updates regarding this multi-chapter fic soon.
have a great day~!

diluc ragnvindr x female! reader
genre angst, short story
summary y/n l/n, a member of the fatui who preferred keeping a low profile, unexpectedly becomes close to the darknight hero who happens to be the rich tycoon, diluc ragnvindr, later falling in love with him when she shouldn’t.
cw fatui! reader, spoilers if you haven’t read the genshin webtoon, spoilers for inazuma quest act III - duel before the throne, mentions of fighting, mentions of death | i don’t think i’ve understood or researched enough about the connection of the fatui and diluc, so please let me know if i made any mistakes!
notes the title of this story is from taylor swift's song "afterglow"! i just thought the lyric fits well with this work :) idek what this is tho
Tumblr media
As a member of the Fatui, you are to serve the Tsaritsa and follow the orders of the Fatui Harbingers.
After your superior, La Signora, was killed by the Raiden Shogun in Inazuma, you were stationed back to Mondstadt. Some of your comrades wanted so badly to seek revenge after Signora's death, but you couldn't care less.
She was just your superior that you take orders for. Now that she's gone, she's nothing. You only ever cared about getting the job done and never concerned yourself with your personal feelings.
Now, you have yet to be a subordinate to one of the Harbingers left.
What you hated the most about in Mondstadt is staying at the Goth Grand Hotel. Sure, it was luxurious and you had your own room, but the Fatui agents were annoying, brawling about who owed them money for wine. Every time. It was stupid.
Another brawl happened once again, and this time you have had it — so you left the hotel at midnight.
You had a coat draped over your Fatui uniform when you left, and thankfully most of the people were already asleep, only leaving the Knights of Favonius to guard.
They were about to stop you from leaving till you showed them your Fatui insignia, and that was enough for them to back off.
After wandering around Mondstadt for a bit, you discovered a mysterious man and a few hilichurls lying in defeat beneath him. You quickly walked away when he turned around, but he noticed you before you could escape.
"Hey, stop. Show yourself."
You mentally cursed. You knew better than to escape now. You displayed a calm expression before you turned to face him. He had a mask so you didn't know his identity.
…And you realized you forgot your mask in your hotel room. Shit.
You took a good look at him, and you could almost recognize the red hair, but you weren't sure since the moon was the only source of light at the moment.
"Who are you?" He asked suspiciously. You didn't want to tell him that you were a part of the Fatui — you knew how much people hated the fatui — so you lied.
"…Just a wanderer from Snezhnaya."
Seeing as you weren't much of a threat, he nodded and headed off, not bothering to tell you who he was.
The red hair was familiar, though.
Tumblr media
After a few days, you found yourself wandering Mondstadt late at night once again as you couldn't sleep.
You sat on a rock and heaved a sigh. Moments later, you heard someone panting nearby, so you decided to follow the sound cautiously.
Some guy was leaning against a tree, head hanging low as he held onto his arm. You tried to hide to look at the person’s face but to your dismay, you accidentally stepped on a leaf, making a rustling noise.
He raised his head in alarm, then he saw you. "…It's you."
It was Diluc Ragnvindr — you realized at that moment he was the 'Darknight Hero' everyone was talking about. He wore the same outfit from a few days ago, except he didn't have his mask on.
And you forgot to wear your mask once again!
Your eyes widened when you saw his injured arm, which explained why he was holding onto it earlier. "You're hurt… Hold on." Thankfully, your vision could provide healing. You walked up to him, offering to tend to his wounds.
He seemed hesitant for a moment, but he agreed and lent you his arm. After that, he cleared his throat. "Thank you. I suppose I could treat you to a drink at Angel's Share as a token of appreciation," Then he added, "As long as you keep my identity a secret, I don't want anyone finding out what I do during these hours."
As a Fatuus, could you really be involved with him? "...Sure, and of course, I won't tell anyone."
Tumblr media
Since that night, you started getting close with Diluc. You did a great job at not being seen by the other Fatui what you've been up to during your spare time.
Always accompanying him during his late night duties, or sometimes when he was the one in-charge at Angel's Share, you'd just sit and talk to him while he was making drinks for customers. You knew it was risky, this whole friendship you're developing with Diluc.
You never knew what history he had with the harbingers, all you knew was that the Fatui declared him to be 'persona non grata' in Snezhnaya, and you haven't even told him you were a member of the Fatui.
The thought of telling him scared you, because it's been so long since you made a new friend.
But being in the Fatui, did you really deserve to have a friend? A friend who despises the organization you're in?
Tumblr media
"I like you." Diluc blurted out, and you froze.
After helping him fight off enemies in the city late at night, you were both resting on Starsnatch Cliff and he just blurted his feelings out.
This is wrong.
"I… I know this is a sudden confession, and I apologize but I just couldn't help it."
This is so wrong... because you like him too.
"I like you too, Diluc."
You looked at him, and you were surprised by the look he gave you. He looked aloof most of the time, but the way he looked at you... it was soft. And it was killing you.
Well… As long as you kept your identity a secret, right?
He smiled and kissed your forehead gently, and you both enjoyed each other's silence.
Tumblr media
For the first time, you felt incredibly happy when you and Diluc started dating (secretly).
You always hung out with him whenever he was on his shift at angel’s share (and he would steal a few kisses here and there whenever people weren’t looking… which was always successful. he just couldn’t resist you), and sometimes he would even invite you to his manor.
The past few weeks truly felt like a dream.
But you almost forgot dating him had consequences… like Mikhail finding out when he saw you and Diluc holding hands secretly in the city at night.
“What the hell are you even thinking?! That man is hated by our superiors! Does he even know you’re part of the Fatui? Because once he finds out you might get— tch!” Mikhail was angry; Lyudmila shielded you to prevent him from trying to hurt you.
“No. He doesn’t know.”
Mikhail let out a frustrated sigh. “You have to break it off with him.”
‘I can’t…’ you wanted to say, but you can’t.
So you made up your mind to tell your lover.
You had no choice.
You didn’t know the reason why he hates the Fatui so much… but you knew it was something bad enough that when you brought up topic to him, he said he’d rather be crushed to death by a meteorite than join them.
Tumblr media
“Diluc, I have something to tell you.” You were at his manor, and he was currently cleaning up his desk.
“What is it?” He looked at you, smiled, and your heart broke at the sight, “Is there something wrong?”
You were silent for a moment, but before he could respond, you said, “…I’m a member of the Fatui.”
Diluc’s face hardened when you finally told him. He let out a breathy laugh as if you were trying to pull out a ridiculous prank on him.
But when he examined your face to see if you were joking, he realized you weren’t.
“You’re what?”
“I’m sorry, Diluc, I—“
“I didn’t ask for your apology. Why— Archons—“ He felt betrayed. His heart dropped. “So you approached me to what? To spy on me? Is that it?”
“No… no! I didn’t!” On the verge of tears, you tried reaching out to him but he moved away. “I was only stationed here… I-I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I was—“
“You should’ve told me the first time we met, so then I would’ve been smart enough to avoid you.” The look of love he gave you a while ago, turned into hatred. “My father… the Fatui was connected to the reason why he died and I… I can’t believe you—“ he gulped, trying so hard not to cry.
Tears welled up your eyes as you covered your mouth, “I’m sorry… Diluc, I—“
Before you could see the tears in his eyes, he turned away and whispered, “Get out.”
“Diluc—“
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
You held in your sobs as you left the manor, and once you were far enough, you cried.
Was there any point in explaining yourself when you already broke his heart?

heyy i see your requests open, and i would like to request something. can i have hcs of diluc, thoma and childe with an s/o who bites them? like you know how i just like to nom nom? it’s not exactly biting harshly, just a nom as a form of affection

◊ ft. diluc, thoma, childe, gn!reader
◊ genre. fluff
◊ a/n. i’m a proud sponsor of love bites

the first time it happened he wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. i mean, what would you make of a comfortable evening in with your lover, cuddled up nicely on the couch together. only to be startled by a loving bite directly on the neck.
he blinks, then raises a hand to access where you bit. there’s an indentation where your teeth met skin but other than that it wasn’t particularly painful. you smile fondly at him before going back to whatever you were doing.
diluc just sits there stunned before demanding some sort of explanation?? if there even is a valid reason to bite him??
“darling, may i ask about… whatever this is?” he makes an vague gesture to the bite mark on his neck.
“it’s a love bite,” you say simply.
diluc has no choice but to accept the explanation. i mean, that is technically what it is and he can’t say anything more.
once he gets used to your random nibbles and bites, he finds them rather amusing. he no longer questions them but does have a bit of trouble explaining when someone notices a mark on his neck or forearm.
“oh? is the great diluc ragnvindr finally getting some action?” kaeya teases, motioning to the odd mark on diluc’s collarbone.
the man reddens, adjusting the collar on his shirt before mumbling a small, “shut up..”
— 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚
was absolutely flabbergasted the first time you did it. stun-locked and frozen to the ground. how could he even react properly when he feels your mouth gently chomp onto his skin whilst cuddling with you?
he rubs the spot, staring at you wide-eyed and red in the face. he stutters out some fragments of questions but truly he’s unsure what to even ask. eventually he just sighs and quickly realizes it’s something he must get used to.
with time he grows used to them. i like to think he’s a bit more ticklish than the other two so when you do bite his neck or collarbone he sort of retracts into himself.
thoma smiles, laughing softly when you take a nice nom of his hand or his neck. then he promptly shoos you away so he can work or focus on his needlework.
“s-sto.. pfft, haha! stop that! i need to w-work on this!” he says through sweet laughs.
“and i need to bite your arm, hold still!”
if anyone were to ask about it, he sort of blushes and covers the mark up with a smile, saying some form of an excuse that sounds decently believable. they don’t believe him of course. not when you’re standing around the corner grinning like a cat.
— 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞
he bites you back obviously. and he got it almost instantly after you did it the first time too. when you popped in for a moment and took a nice bite outta his shoulder he looked at you for half a second before taking a chomp outta your cheek.
it was your turn to squint at him now. the two of you obviously daring the other to try and bite them again. eventually it simmers down but now it’s just turned into a competition.
it’s not particularly a romantic or even sexual gesture either. it’s just the two of you trying to bite the other lovingly.
childe doesn’t particularly hide the fact the two of you bite each other either. all the other harbingers just have no choice but to listen to your silly antics with one another.
“tartaglia, what in the world is that mark on your neck?”
“oh, y/n did it. i gotta get them back this afternoon or they win for today.”
who even knows what childe’s on about anymore. but you certainly seem to cause the second he gets home you got a whole plan devised to nom on that man’s poor arm.
but childe finds it fun. it’s a lighthearted competition the two of you have some how put together and he enjoys the mess of laughs and giggles it puts you two in afterwards.

i still love you.
feat. | diluc, yoimiya, eula, and xiao! summary | getting back together after a breakup. you love each other. author's note: it was very painful to write this very painful fic. enjoy! also idk if xiao actually smiles.. but i took a leap. and so now he smiles.
diluc ragnvindr |
maybe he hung around after to see if you still loved him. maybe he, despite your cutting words, still loved you. maybe he went to sleep thinking of your soft smile and gentle touch. and maybe, just maybe, he hoped you’d come back to him.
your breakup destroys diluc. he’s still in love, hanging on to his shredded memories of you. he longs to kiss you, hold you, be with you. and yet you’d left, weeks ago, months ago, how long was it? time blurs together when you’re not there, and he feels almost weightless.
ha! weightless. as though such a word could be used to describe a man whose heart had just been torn out of his chest and lain on the ground, bleeding raw and bare. he sometimes—no, always—thought about you, and was so out of it that he rarely bartended at the tavern anymore. he hid away in the dawn winery. he wants to see you—he wants you to love him again, love him like he loved (no, loves) you.
adelaide worries about his many weeks spent pining away in front of the fire, drinking tea and staring morosely into the flickering flames. he's always been broody, angsty, mopey, but after he met you, he perked up. he started growing flowers in little beds (after you nagging him) and he started wearing other clothes. honestly. he'd do anything to see you right now.
and his wish is granted one cold winter afternoon, when he opens the door to see you on the other side. his broken heart repairs itself at the sight of you, freezing, smiling apologetically at him. “i love you—“ the two of you start together, and he doesn’t even give you a pause before he pulls you into a kiss.
naganohara yoimiya |
she misses you with an ache so fierce her sunshine dims. her father comments on her dullness and she forces a laugh. she’s no longer chipper, no longer soft and sweet. instead, she’s hard edges and short tempers and quiet cries in the dark.
yoimiya thinks about you every day. while lighting a firework fuse. while staying up late at night. her thoughts are plagued by you and you only. she can’t bring herself to forget you, the magical person who dove in and made her feel truly, truly joyful. who made her feel like she wasn't too much.
she watches the fireworks on amakane island, remembering when you sat with her. and yet the thought stings so much, she bites her lip hard to keep from crying. what happened to her? she used to laugh everywhere she went, spreading light and warmth. you'd called her the sparkle of my eye. when she'd blushed and laughed, you had thrown your arms around her and kissed her full on the mouth.
now, she needs you. she needs you to bring back that light. that sparkle.
her chest aching, she leans forward and closes her eyes, her fingertips brushing a slip of paper. she raises it to her eyes. on it, four words are written in a scrawl she’s recognize anywhere.
i still love you.
she sniffles, the tears streaming freely down her face. when were you here last? to write her a note, but to not see you? could you be that selfish? why leave a note when you could see her in person? she tears up the note, her fingers shaking, anger seeping through the sadness. well, fine. if you didn't want to see her, so be it. she would raise her head and--
a shuffle behind her causes her head to snap up and glance behind her. it’s you, holding up a sheet of paper. she barely takes time to read it before throwing herself into your arms and sobbing into your shoulder. do you still love me?
“yes,” she whispers into your ear, her sobs hiccuping into laughter.
xiao |
xiao tells himself that he doesn’t hurt. he tells the same thing to anyone who asks; i’m fine. i’ve been over yn for so long now, it’s a thing of the past. he’ll force a laugh, but when he’s alone, sorrow drags his heart down so far it’s a wonder he manages to live still.
your leaving xiao tore him to shreds and pasted him together, some pieces missing and some in different spots. he wants to find you again. he wants you to call his name. often, he finds himself looking at the top of wangshu inn, searching for your silhouette, your voice, your words. your words were always so pretty. you had the loveliest way of describing the most trivial of things. the rain patters like my thoughts--always moving, always whirling, always there. but dissolving into the background sometimes, you'd written once. and then he'd known that he was deep in love.
maybe he’s too clingy. maybe all he deserves is this eternal suffering. karma, he thinks bitterly. he never deserved you. your sweet words, snarky wit and whip-fast intellect. your beautiful love.
whenever he started doubting himself like this, you’d sit on his lap and furiously tell him all the things you loved about him. by the end, he was smiling and you were laughing. you always said his smiles were as rare as a double rainbow; they were rarely there, but when they were, they took your breath away. his smile lopsided and crooked, his eye crinkling. it looked so out-of-place on his usually solemn features that you couldn't help but laugh, without fail.
thinking about that feels like a stab to the chest. he inhales painfully and turns away from the top of wangshu inn—but not before spotting a familiar silhouette.
he could recognize you from anywhere, and hoists himself easily onto the roof. you turn towards him. “xiao,” you whisper, and he smiles a double-rainbow smile.
eula lawrence |
eula pretends that she does not care. who cares if you've left her? the one true love of her life? better to be the one in power, she decides, and not to cry over you again. she throws herself into dancing more fervently than before, whispering to herself vengeance will be had for your breakup.
eula dances with a ferocity that sends everyone reeling into shock. is she... angry? people wonder. her anger plus her love for you plus her hurt turns her dances sharp like ice, dangerous like lightning. she's as graceful as a swan, light as a feather. she's quiet and angrier when she speaks and when people bring you up, she cuts them off with a dangerous look and a whispered threat of vengeance.
she remembers how you'd tell her how gorgeous she looked before the performance, and after, only compliments would spill from your mouth. she remembers blushing and smiling so hard her cheeks ached along with her feet, and she remembers you carrying her bridal-style to your bed. she remembers how you'd always make her tea and sit with her until she fell asleep.
thinking about such things, she scolds herself, is not right. she spins into a turn and for a second, thinks she can see your face in the crowd. but why would it be you? you left her after she broke up with you (maybe a valid reason, but does it matter? you left).
coming out of her turns, she spots you again. this time, there's no doubt. you smile at her and she rapidly ends her dance, rushing towards you. you race into her arms and she twirls the two of you around. "i love you so much," you whisper.
"i am so mad at you for leaving," she hisses. "but i love you too." and she yanks you back towards her.
