I just,, really wanna meet patent pending again because theyre so nice and geniunely some of the sweetest people ive met and Joe held my cousin's hand while she cried during one less heart to break and god they mean so much to me and I wanna meet them again and be able to talk to them this time!!! I wanna tell them how their music changed my life. How I'm managing to get better and the positivity from them is amazing, I wanna be at one of their gigs again and scream along to all of the songs until my voice is completely gone, but even then I wont care, because I'm at an amazing bands concert where i can be myself, even if its just for a few hours.

1. Do your friends get your music taste?

...more or less? my sister who’s my best friend gets it and feels a lot of the same way i do about certain bands. sometimes. when we disagree we’re both very stubborn on it (don’t even start me on rubber soul vs. revolver but she’s fUCKING SILLY FOR THINKING RUBBER SOUL IS THE SUPERIOR ALBUM THAT’S JSUT TEA)

the rest of my friends, well, it depends how i made them. most of them know i really like music, at least, because that’s kind of been my thing since middle school. if i met them through tumblr there’s about a 50-50 chance bc i blog a lot about my music taste but my blog’s a big hodgepodge of different types of posts, so my followers and mutuals follow suit.

but like, overall i think my music taste and the way i tend to enjoy music is very in line w the rest of my personality. i’m a curious person and i like a lot of different artists and to learn about music history and different genres and instruments but also in general i am always very eager to learn about... well, anything, basically. there’s not a lot i’m not down to get my feet wet in.

that was more rambly than i wanted it to be i hope i don’t answer the rest of these questions like this one alsidgasg.

2. Seen any of your faves live?

i don’t see a lot of concerts. of current favs, i saw panic! at the disco the summer of 2014 and they were then and still are one of my favorite active bands. i also have tickets to see arctic monkeys this summer w my sister and one of my brothers.

also they’re not a favorite anymore, but for my fourteenth birthday i saw all time low in lowell, mass only like a week and a half after the 2013 boston marathon bombing and it was very emotional because they had visited victims who were unable to attend the show bc they were in the hospital. also it was just like, admittedly, a pretty fun time. i don’t hate atl but i kinda roll my eyes at them in retrospect, they were very middle school, but that concert’s a very fond memory. it was what i needed at that time in my life.

3. Do you listen to many genres, or mainly rock?

yes and no. i’m easily most well-versed in rock and roll and its history and subgenres but i have a bit of a working knowledge in pop music, not as expansive but it’s there and of course there’s a lot of overlap w rock. and lately i’ve been dipping my toes more into folk than i have in the past, and not just, like, folk rock bob dylan stuff. a bit of old country like johnny cash. 

there are a lot of genres i could probably get started anywhere in, like hip hop for instance (but it’s not the only one), but i feel like i want to understand the genre as a whole like i do rock or pop and not just like... start anywhere. even though that’s of course what i did w rock! like! ask me about my middle school pop punk phase and how much i thought i knew about music bc i really loved blink-182. that’s kind of an exaggeration and i know i have to start somewhere, anywhere in a lot of genres but just. aaggh. i have no idea.

4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

optimistically, a less befuddled and more reliable 24-year-old. oh jesus christ im gonna be in my mid-20s what the fuck that’s not even that far away.

5. What would you do if you saw one of your favorite musicians walking down the street?

depends on who it was. if it were marianne faithfull i’d definitely get lightheaded and run away bc i’m a shy bisexual.

6. Are you a plant person?

i like them and would like to keep some someday, but i don’t currenlty.

7. How internet addicted are you?

i worry about being more dependent on social media than i am but really i just use it as a crutch for when i’m bored, and it’s only mildly effective. i really invest more time in reading and watching things (tv, movies, youtube videos sometimes) on the internet. but, you know, i can get my curious intellectual fix offline just as well. a little annotated shakespeare and i’m good.

8. Talk about your favorite pair of headphones?

don’t really own any. i only really listen to music by choice on my laptop or on my cd player. i don’t have an ipod and i don’t use my phone for much of anything, i hardly turn the thing on.

9. Top 3 cities you want to visit?

rome, ireland (not just dublin fuck this ‘cities’ criteria i wanna see the countryside), and... i don’t know. if you dropped me off in any city in the world w a promised chance to explore anywhere in safety i’d probably have a good time no matter what.

10. What student/college stereotypes do/did you fit?

11. Tea or coffee, and how do you like it?

i don’t drink much of either but i’ve had much more coffee, and i actually like to take it black. not because it tastes good, but because i’m a miserable son of a bitch who loves to suffer.

Miaa oh my god. Ohhh my goddd. I had an epiphany today. My crush likes me. Like she likes me likes me. Like I'm p sure she borderline loves me. Ohhhh my godddd. I'm so happy rn. I still haven't actually told her that I like her yet. Bc today is her bday and just in case I'm wrong about everything, I didn't want to ruin her day. But I'm gonna tell her soon bc I can't handle this anymore. 😂 she keeps doing things that make my heart go all !!!!! and I feel like I can't breathe. (1/3)

It's honestly so rude. Like today! So I think i told you how we were gonna go get tattoos together. So I get my fave atl lyric bc reasons. And she gets this really cute heart on her wrist. And when I look closer at the design I see it has an 'S' in it, which is her grandmother's initial. They were super close and she passed a few months back. But S is also my initial so I joked "Aww an S for me and granny." And she just looks at me with this smile and i s2g my heart stopped. (2/3)

And then she was like "Well, of course. Now I'll always have the two most important people in my life close to my heart." And i just. Like how rude. You can't just say things like that and then expect me to not want to kiss you! Ugh! But it was also super sweet. And all the tattoo artists were laughing at us for being a cheesy couple. And it was just great. And now I'm all warm and happy inside. 😊
