This one took longer than I thought to have the courage to say my random thoughts about that man. Turned out he’s complicated.

First let’s talk about his amazing muscular body. He’d crash me with just one hand effortlessly.

Sometimes I hope Togashi would let Hisoka and Tserried meet and fight. I’d die from excitement.

Poor Theta, I’m genuinely worried about her fate. I think she’ll help Kurapika get closer to the Prince so they can kill him.

Also poor Pika, I’m worried what will happen to him when he sees Pairo’s head..

That man is worse than the five threats. I hope he’ll stay alive until they reach the dark continent so they let him die alone and painfully there.

By surprise he has friends? Like how did they tolerate his ass talk about male philosophers? Boring hypocrites.

So I ended my trash talk about him. Let’s start my random things I think about.

I think he does have skin care and hair care routine like Patrick Bateman from American Psycho.

They look too much alike. The hair, the face, the body, the bloodlust.

I think he takes interest in music too. Not any genre of music. Classical music to be precise, his favorite musician is Mozart. Typical

He doesn’t like dogs. He thinks they are too clingy, useless and stinky. I bet a dog bit him when he was a kid.

Doesn’t like kids. Annoying, useless and stupid. Yeah Unma dropped you on your head for sure.

He gets grossed out when someone talks about women’s menstrual cycle.

He gets the ick when he smells certain feminine perfumes like “La vie est belle and Scandal” so typical every damn woman smells like these two.

His favorite perfume is Versace Eros eau de parfum.

He owns a big collection of hand watches.

Despite his “hobby” he wouldn’t practice it on someone related to him. Friend, family, mistress..

Speaking of his mistress. It would be very difficult to satisfy him. His lover should have certain qualifications that go along with the image he painted himself to deceive people, and of course his lover herself.

He’s homophobic. But he secretly takes liking in men more than women. I don’t make the rules.

Doesn’t mean he’s not into women.

When it comes to sex he is selfish.

Fucks you like an animal in heat, and insults your entire family line while fucking you.

He’s abusive. If you did or say something that isn’t acceptable to his taste expect a slap on your face when you’re alone with him. He would spit on you too.

You can’t get away from him, you’re trapped.

He will remind you how lucky you are, nobody gets the privileges you have or the insane amount of spending you spend everyday, all thanks to him.

He’s generous enough to let you do shopping and get all these clothes and makeup without asking what do you spend all these money on.

But he will not tolerate ignorance and misbehaved brats like you.

Of course you finally knew exactly who you are in a relationship with.

He doesn’t mind raping you, he sees you as one of his belongings he has the right to do anything he wants with you. Your opinion doesn’t matter.

Sometimes he gets a soft spot for you, after a “silly argument” and another abusive episode he will catch you crying where no one can see you, he will hug you and pat your head while saying he’s sorry.

After you’re finished crying he’ll give you a soft kiss on your lips, and says he won’t hit you again.

Of course he’ll do it again. Sometimes he’ll threaten you with a gun or a knife. It gets worse by time.

-He's a little wearier about the topic.

-Kil would treat you sort of like something that could break if touched the wrong way until you tell him he doesn't have to

-He doesn't understand, to a full extent, human emotions, so he tries to ask Leorio or someone more qualified about it

-He doesn't want to ask you in case you'd think he's stupid

-When it comes time to meet an alter he's... nervous and on guard

-He's not sure what to think; are they nice or just faking it? What if they hate him? Did he make a good impression? He just wants to do well for you

-Definitely relieved whenever you come back and he asks you what they thought of him.

-Killua would most likely advise against therapy just because he doesn't trust people, especially with such a sensitive thing. But if it's what you want, he'll be okay.

Kurapika

-He gets it

-He just stands for a moment when you explain it to him, before nodding and hugging you

-I don't see him as sharing too many words about it, he simply listens and looks at you occasionally to tell you he's listening to you

-He'd be the one to suggest therapy first, regardless if you're in it or not.

-He would definitely want to be the one to find the therapist; he's a good judge of character and would find one he thinks you would like

-If you don't want therapy, though, he's accepting and happy with whatever you choose.

-Kurapika is respectful whenever he meets an alter, but he keeps his distance still

Leorio

-LOL he understands immediately and knows what to do

-He's a little fumbly because he's never met someone who's had it before but that doesn't mean he won't have everything understood and be on top of it all in a matter of minutes

-Leorio already knew about DID and what it was so there wasn't an entire need for you to explain it

-He does frequently ask about your trauma, though.

-Even if you've expressed you're not ready, he still asks. It's less of an intrusive thing and more of a "are you ready?" kind of thing

-He wants to understand exactly where it came from, instead of ballparking it.

-Therapy will be constantly suggested although never forced and never frowned upon if you don't want it

-He's nice when he meets your alter(s) and wants to talk to them and get to know them.

Hisoka

-He's super interested and constantly wants to egg you on just to be able to meet an alter

-He listens to you and is accepting, of course, but sometimes he wonders if he caused it???

-He knows it's caused by childhood trauma, and he definitely has some of his own too, so he's worried that he will accidentally bring something up

-Hisoka doesn't exactly suggest therapy, mostly just asks if you want it and if you want him to pay for it

-If you say yes, he will. And if you say no, that's fine.

-He's pretty chill about it and he wants to help you work through what he can

Illumi

-Illumi would forget.

-He isn't used to any type of emotions whatsoever so when you tell him he's sort of like "0.0 no you don't" and goes about his day

-He was raised in a decently emotionless, manipulative household so this man will be of zero help

-He doesn't necessarily care if you get therapy or not. He doesn't believe in therapists so he says it's a waste of money

-Meeting alters is hard for him. He hates most people in general so even though the alter is somewhat tied in a way to you, it doesn't make it any different.

-He brushes it off as you being silly and sensitive.

-Y'all- this man is so cruel I can't even write an ounce of fluff for him on this topic

Chrollo

-Please he already knew

-He knows exactly what to do and say when an alter comes along

If you want therapy though I'd expect he'd want your therapist to come from one of the Troupe members or someone he explicitly trusts

-He's accepting of whatever alter you have, no matter the personality type they have

-Chrollo just wants the best for you no matter what the cost is

Main Masterlist

Gon

“You never leave me alone, always clinging to me, it’s annoying!” Is what Gon told you one night. The heartbreak mixed with embarrassment made your face red and body still. You didn’t realize how clingy you were, it is just a part of who you are. 

Of course, you apologized and quickly left the room to your own.

It would take Gon a couple hours and Kurapika scolding him to realize what he did, but once he realized he felt terrible and was asking Killua for advice (And getting none because he is just as clueless as Gon.) on how to fix the situation.

Eventually, he walked to your room and knocked on the door. The quiet, “Come in,” making him feel even worse.

“(Y/N), I am so, so, so, sorry! Please forgive me! I didn’t mean anything I said earlier, I was just in a bad mood because of Hisoka.” 

Let me tell you, Gon was on his knees begging you to forgive him, if it wasn’t such a serious moment, you would have been laughing.

“Gon, It’s alright. I forgive you. Now get off your knees and give me a hug, you idiot.”

Leorio

Leorio's insult would be about your looks, and he only does it when he wants to hurt you (and sometimes on accident because he thought he was giving a compliment). 

Leorio would also pinpoint your biggest insecurity and repeatedly insult it. He's a really hurtful man when he is mad.

He’d be stubborn at first, not wanting to be the first to apologize, but he would come around eventually once he notices how bad his words affected you and he would feel very bad.

“I am so, so, sorry, (Y/N). I didn’t mean what I said, I was just angry and wanted to hurt your feelings.” 

You forgave him and just like that you two were back to normal.

Killua

With Killua, I feel it wouldn’t be his words that hurt you, but instead his actions.

Killua would be the type to forget that having an s/o means he needs to make time for them and give them attention. He would ignore you a lot, and blow off his plans with you to hang out with Gon.

It would take a lot for you to mention it to him, but when you do he feels bad, like really, really, bad. It’s not like he intentionally ignored you and hurt you, he simply just forgot what being in a relationship means.

Expect chocolates (Or your favorite candy), lots and lots of it. Killua wouldn’t know how to apologize verbally, so him gifting you things would be his little, “I’m sorry, please forgive me.” 

And yeah, you forgive him. Now, he even makes Friday’s and Tuesday’s his free days so he can be with you.

Kurapika

“Can’t you see I’m busy right now? I have more important things, like finding the Phantom troupe, to do than give you attention.” Kurapika said, not bothering to move his eyes from the computer as he spoke.

You muttered a quiet, “I’m sorry,” and left him alone. The rest of the night felt like it passed slowly.

Kurapika doesn’t see much of a problem with what he said, you knew when you got into this relationship with him that you wouldn’t be his main focus, so why are you upset?

Nonetheless, he still apologizes. Saying he could have worded it better, and that you’re still important to him and he loves you.

Your feelings were still hurt for a while after that, his insults seemed to get under your skin.

as soon as i saw that a hunter x hunter musical from the year 2002 starring the OG 99 VAs existed, i knew i has to see this...so i set out and watched the nightmare of zoldyck (i would later find out that theres ANOTHER musical, which i plan to watch too)

ah so the director of this musical also directed the sailor moon musicals, which i didnt know existed but of course that exists...thats funny considering the hxh mangaka is married to the sailor moon mangaka 

anyways that was fun honestly!!!! i fuckgin love musicals, and musical adaptations of non-musical source materials can be like, SO different tonally, but this honestly felt like a fun filler 

it was really interesting seeing something based on the canon from this early on - as i said above, some of the characterizations (like the zoldycks) seems a bit different than we’re used to, but others were spot on - like hisoka only showing up intermittently to sow chaos and do nothing else vhjkadhbfhkjdsfnj im assuming the yorknew arc hadnt happened at this point, but hisokas actions in this musical were hilariously similar to how he acted in the yorknew arc, so, props. 

plus it was cool to see the ‘what if’ factor w/hisoka and illumi also being there, espec illumi interacting w/killua bc its so wildly different from how killua reacts to any of his other family members - hes clearly scared of illumi, in a way he isnt w/anyone else, and that was done well here w/the scene where illumi threatens killua’s friends to get killua to listen to him

also the angst was honestly great, and there was some REALLY sweet wholesome parts that i loved. and the music wasnt half bad either!!

i think the VAs did a great job playing the characters - hisokas VA was especially great (and i really loved kurapika too). gons hair was not very similar to how it looks in the show so it was a little more obvious that he was being played by a grown woman, but still a great performance. 

anyways fun times, i love musicals and this was a fun ole 2000s filler shounen musical adaptation

i predict that hisoka will show up in this upcoming zoldyk arc somewhere bc illumis gonna be in it (i assume) and theyre dating. also hisoka is a central character so itd make sense for him to show up in the second major arc. tho tbh this could end up being completely false and i wouldnt be that shocked lmao

i think leorio is gonna get Big Sad someday bc hes like, so normal compared to the other MCs, and also hes suuuuch a bleeding heart (i love him....) so i feel like thats gonna lead to some sadness for him once his friends start doing crazy shit or w/e 

also i predict that if he gets nen itll be like healing nen or st. does that even exist??? idk jack shit abt nen lmao 

i think that illumi has hypnosis powers or something, even just based on design alone. it could defs be for aesthetic (character design in hxh is wild), but his eyes look noticeably different from any other characters. also he was doing some freaky shit to killua. also i held this prediction before seeing the part where this is brought up so we’ll see if its right lmao 

as for this upcoming arc -  ruth and i are wondering if itll be similar to the vinsmoke drama in one piece - character goes back to abusive family, squad goes to rescue them...and then character refuses to be recused. w/sanji it was partially bc the vinsmokes threatened to kill zeff, his TRUE dad, but i predict in this case it could be more like the zoldyks saying ‘look killua these 3 weirdos showed up looking for you, convince them to leave or we’ll kill them’ and killua will be like, oh shit bc like.....think abt it. the vinsmokes targeted zeff (and not the strawhats) bc they knew they could easily kill him. same goes here, i assume - a family of trained assassins vs Good Good Fishing Rod Smell-Power Boy (who hasnt thrown a single punch yet), Lanky Dr Man With A Switchblade We Havent Seen Him Use Onscreen, and Mx 2 Wooden Sticks, Bloodlust, and Arachnophobia - 3 For 1 Deal! its a no-contest. so thats one thing i could see happening, potentially
