As much as I love the "penelope gives zero fucks she does NOT care ody calm tf down"

I think it's important that we see that ody HAS changed

The line "I will fall in love with you over and over again" doesn't just mean that she never fell out of love, she didn't fall out of love with odysseus as she knew him

That line also means that she is choosing to fall in love with odysseus again, the man he is now, the monster, the ruthlessness he's embraced.

She chooses to love him again. To not only accept but embrace and acknowledge the parts of him that have changed

He's not the same, and neither is she. But they will choose to fall in love again.

Because they, no mater how different. Will always be married, will always have the olive tree, will always love eachother in a way that doesn't push the unsavoury parts aside

Penelope cares about all of it because odysseus cares about it. If odysseus wasn't upset and guilty and scared penelope wouldn't go out of her way to assure him that she loves him despite and because of it all
