Um VK has sledged the omegas enough too. He went at Stu during the 2018 England test series (Ali's last, ig). So basically Stu dismissed Rishabh Pant, who was on debut, and gave him an explosive send-off. VK, obviously went and took objection to that, and gave Stu a piece of his mind when the latter came out to bat.
https://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/virat-kohli-teaches-stuart-broad-a-lesson-for-sledging-rishabh-pant/story-oRiP8FHSoIZ9l7Iy8IYYaN.html
Again, VK and Joey were involved in some bat drop controversy in 2018, when Ind toured eng. During the decider of the ODI series, Joey hit a four to reach his century as well as get the winning runs for England, and celebrated by dropping his bat. VK remembered that, and during the 1st Test of the same series, he ran Joey out and subsequently did a mic drop celebration and also blew Joey some kisses as a send-off. He was called petty for that, but Joey himself said in an interview that he found VK's celebration funny.
https://youtu.be/ckqMqrLxBVo?feature=shared The run out is there in this video, about 3 minutes in. VK blowing kisses lmao, and the ball hitting Joey's helmet after striking the bails 😂😂😂😂
I can't really remember VK sledging Starcy; maybe he might have during the 2018 Ind vs aus border gavaskar trophy, but tbh that doesn't really stand out, because that series, VK seemed to be determined to give a mouthful to every single Australian on field, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
VK and Tim again seem to share a good equation off the field, because they played together at RCB, and it shows in their on-field interactions too. I can't remember either of them going at each other much, apart from the 2023 WC semi final, where they had a bit of banter, but again it was funny and in good humour, not a hostile and swear-y encounter like some of VK's other sledging episodes. VK's sledged Marnus sometimes, but they've also been clicked smiling and giggling together, so again, just like Tim, I don't think there's any hostility there, just some banter.
Yeah like I said, on the pitch a player is a player. VK doesn’t care if their alpha, beta, omega or otherwise - he will take his competitive advantage if he thinks it’ll help his team win

Ind vs Pakistan 2023 Asia Cup Super 4
Cricket Journals
An account of Virat Kohli’s 77th century :
India vs Pakistan, what is it, it is an emotion attached to all the cricket supporters around the world, be it India, Pakistan, England, or Australia, it is cherished and remembered all over the world. And what does it feel like when your favorite player scores a century in that match, well it feels delighted, a moment to cherish, celebrate and to remember all your lifetime and let me tell you one interesting story of such kind of an event. It was 2023, an amazing year for all cricket fans in the world because we have the ODI World Cup, Asia Cup, WTC Final and many more series such as The Ashes, Ind vs South Africa and many more. But there is one more thing that is wanted by all cricket fans and we have it three times and who knows four times this year. The cherish able, always remembered, India vs Pakistan. Two times in the Asia cup and one time in the ODI World cup, we will witness this amazing rivalry even more this year. September 2023, and the awaited month has arrived. The Asia Cup kicked off with its initial matches. It was happening in Pakistan and Sri Lanka both as India refused to play because of political issues and many more issues which both country’s government crib about. On 2 September, we had the match in Colombo, meaning India vs Pakistan in Colombo. The match started, surprisingly according to the weather forecast, there was no signs of rain in the starting. But that match did not finish because till the finishing of India’s innings which was the first innings, there was rain, drama, and lots of sadness in every spectator’s mind because firstly India had not played well and secondly due to that rain match was abandoned and both teams shared one point each. Well, as I told there were two games so we had the fixture again on 10th September as part of the super four stage. There was rain, drama, and lots of delightfulness in this match because this match was completed and it also witnessed the run machine’s 77th century and he also completed 13,000 runs in ODI cricket. Do you know who I am referring to ?, yes Virat Kohli, my favorite player and the charm of every Indian spectator watching that game. He came in to play and replenishing all his mistakes that led to his dismissal in the last game, he smashed a well driven 122* of 94 deliveries with KL Rahul also scoring a century. They both stitched a 233-run partnership and stretched India’s score to 357 for just the loss of 2 wickets. It was an easy defend for India and dismissed the whole of Pakistan in just 128 runs and in the bowling unit, Kuldeep Yadav also took 5 wickets and bowled an excellent spell dismissing some of their key batters.
We all got the gift from Kohli, we all wanted and deserved. He played as a well accumulator and in the end accelerating to his hundred. It was a classic Kohli innings and a classic Indian win. As expected, Virat received the Man of the Match and that is all we could ask by him in the match of one of the most cherished rivalries of all time.

[ad_1] Virat Kohli for India in Tests (PC: X) My first glimpse of Virat Kohli came in Agartala. It was during the knockout stages of the national one-day championship for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This was early 2009. He had played five ODIs by then, but was yet to score big. However, he came to the Vijay Hazare knockouts with four centuries in the zonal phase. He made another in the capital city of Tripura. About a year earlier, Aakash Chpora had told me that this youngster was going to become the next big thing from Delhi. Chopra’s assessment was based on the extraordinary powers of application shown by this player still in his teens. His commitment was exceptional, as was seen when he came out to bat and saved a Ranji Trophy game for his team after losing his father the previous night. As Kohli, who turned 36 today, prepares for his fifth and possibly last Test tour of Australia, he finds himself at a critical juncture. Never before had his ability been questioned by so many. Never before was there a bigger question mark over his mastery over bowling. Truth be told, never before did he appear so fragile and susceptible. The lone bright spot from the 0-4 whitewash in Australia, where he made his maiden Test century in 2011-12, the knight in the shining armour with four centuries in 2014-15 and captain of the first-ever Indian team to win a Test series Down Under in 2018-19 — he made three-figure scores on each of his first three tours of the country. The lone Test he played in the 2020-21 series before skipping the rest saw him make a sparkling 74 in the first innings before India got shot out for 36 in the second. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Virat Kohli (PC: X) In 13 Tests in Australia, Kohli has 1352 runs with six centuries at an average of 54.08. Sachin Tendulkar averaged 53.20 in the ‘Kangaroo country’, Sunil Gavaskar 51.11, Cheteshwar Pujara 47.28, VVS Laxman 44.14 and Rahul Dravid 41.64. To outnumber so many stalwarts when it comes to batting on the bouncy pitches of Australia shows what Kohli is made of. These numbers, however, are not an indicator of Kohli the batter of the last few years. In 16 Tests at home since 2020, he has been averaging 29.92, with just one century, on a flat pitch in Ahmedabad in 2023 against Australia. There is enough reason, statistics and expert opinion to suggest that he is not the same player anymore. Something has changed and that is evident in his performance. As the batting legend of the second decade of the 21st century gets ready for Australia, he is in focus for a different reason. Unlike the last few tours, when the question used to be ‘how many will Kohli get’, it has become ‘can Kohli get any’. That’s a paradigm shift and it is not based on hearsay. Mental and technical, there are chinks in his armour on multiple counts. Being the fighter he is, who thrives on challenges, this is perhaps one last chance for Kohli to show that he can still do it. He has done that in the past, by making runs in adverse conditions. He excelled in England in 2018 after a disastrous outing in 2014. He has proven people and estimates wrong a number of times. The difference now is, those were a long time back. It was the 2014-15 tour of Australia which made Kohli the Test batter that he is. In the same country, a decade later, he faces a new challenge. In all likelihood, the series commencing in Perth on November 22 will determine if he still has it in him. If he succeeds, it will mark a new beginning. If he fails, it will possibly mark the end of an era. The next six to seven weeks will be keenly watched. Also Read: Can Virat Kohli turn it around in Australia?
