HSSSSSS.

Dylas scrubbed the still-hot stove down with a damp towel. Konohana Restaurant had seemed a bit more busy that day than usual, and it was hard for everyone working. Thankfully, the restaurant had just wrapped up its last order, and Dylas was helping clean the kitchen with Odette. Though they worked together, he rarely spoke to her other than coordinating what orders to prioritize and cook. She always started conversations with him, but Dylas’ introverted nature usually prevented him from really opening up. Today, however, he watched as Odette held her own during the chaos of all the orders, and he realized how much he admired her as a chef and as a person. Maybe... I should be more friendly...

Dylas tossed the dirty towel into a small bin and found a large crust of bread near the edge of one of the counters. He picked it up and threw it at the back of Odette’s head, keeping his usual emotionless gaze.

“Hey. What are you doing after this?”
