just wanted to hop on and say i love your writing! i always get so excited when i see that you posted. anyways here is a freebie for bruce or jason fluff for whenever you feel like it!

Bruce lit the last of the candles himself and double-checked that he had everything how he wanted it.

His Doctor did not have exacting standards but- he did. And he wanted everything just so. He had a lot to make up for. Events. Dinners. And he didn't want to be interrupted. By anything. So Staff, Even Alfred had the night off.

And then he heard the door to the pool room open and the soft, tentative footfalls on the tile, he smiled. "There you are sweetheart," he hummed.

"What's all this?" you ask, "I thought we were just going to have dinner and-"

"Dinner and a swim," he hummed, turning as he poured a glass of wine. The food and the wine are tailored to be some of your favorites. The dessert was going to be fruit and champagne... You liked the bubbles and he liked the way they made you giggle. Not too much. Just enough to let you relax and really enjoy yourself. He'd look out for you. "If you want to swim," he added.

"I didn't bring a suit."

"I know," he murmured, turning down the lights so you could enjoy the flicker of the candles and the play of the shadows. "It's just us, as long as you want," he explained. "No staff. No one to see." He kissed your forehead and pulled you closer gently, his fingers ghosting over the back of your dress.

"Bruce," you breathe, looking up at him, "why?"

"I have a lot of dinner dates to make up for-"

"But what if I'm not hungry?" you ask, biting your lip.

Dayyyyyyy twooooooo: what would they be streaming on twitch and what would their twitch handle be? (Khr or K Peoject, I'll leave it up to you)

Okay, so I’m not going to lie here. I have just the bare fucking basic idea of what Twitch even is or how it works or any of that so these headcanons were hella hard on me and I don’t think they’re my best work, but I hope they make some semblance of sense!

Look, it isn’t that Mikoto is dumb. It isn’t that he’s not technologically literate. It’s simply that pop culture and such along those lines really doesn’t hold his interest. He just doesn’t care about it. He might have heard about Twitch, but he really doesn’t know what it is fully, and he really doesn’t care to learn so I can’t see him as someone who has a Twitch account, let alone someone who would stream things on there.

Kusanagi is another one who is completely uninterested in Twitch. He’d know what it is more than Mikoto would, just because Kusanagi likes to think of himself as a man of culture and knowledge and does keep up to date on things. He just doesn’t much see the point of it and it’s not for him, so he’s another of the HOMRA crew who wouldn’t have a Twitch account.

Totsuka did go through a phase where he was really into video games, and I could see that leading into a whole ‘I’m going to make create a Twitch channel and do all these live-streams and it’s going to be so much fun’ phase. So I do think Totsuka has a Twitch channel and that he was active on it for a couple of weeks, religiously live-streaming whatever game was holding his interest (I could see him really liking a lot of small indie games and streaming those most often) at least twice to three times a week. I think after those couple of weeks though, maybe even a month, he really got over that itch to try it out and kind of abandoned his Twitch channel. He’ll go months without ever thinking about it, though he does randomly get the urge to use it to live-stream video games again, though those urges are short lived and he’s never consistently on more than a week before he’s done with it again. I do think he kept his Twitch handle very short, something punchy but memorable and since he was always getting told, growing up, that he was kind of an ‘odd duck’, that’s what he used – OddDuck.

Anna was allowed a Twitch account, though only for watching and chatting. She went under the display name ‘ʕPrincessÂedʔ’. However, since she used her account mostly to follow and watch the channels of the other HOMRA members, this only lasted until Chitose ended up dabbling in streaming playthroughs on his Twitch channel and one of the other guys caught Anna watching it…somehow, her Twitch account ended up being deleted and the website blocked on the computer she uses. Just mysteriously happened.

Shouhei really only has a Twitch account to follow the other HOMRA members, and a couple friends, Twitch channels. He honestly doesn’t even use it that often, since he is a pretty active, social guy and doesn’t play a lot of video games, I don’t think. But he’s definitely the guy who likes to help and support his bros whenever he can, so the least he can do, he figures, is follow their channels and occasionally watch and chat when they do live-streams and such. His display name is probably something really generic or even just his first name because he’s definitely not the greatest at coming up with snappy or witty names right off the cuff. He’s never actually streamed anything himself, but he has appeared on Bandou and Eric’s streams before once or twice, either as a second player for a two-player game or just accidentally strolling across the screen because he didn’t realize they were streaming.

Bandou definitely has a Twitch channel. His Twitch handle is definitely dorky and silly and way too edgy sounding; it honestly is either named after one of his MMORPG characters or an old Dungeons and Dragons character he had and it sounds like a super-edgy teenage boy game up with it but he loves it. He streams a lot of different things, but I could see him really being big into fantasy or more action-packed games. I do see him being pretty big into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, a lot of multi-player online games, definitely big into GTA and he did have a spell where he was really into Call of Duty, though that was thankfully very short-lived. He doesn’t have a lot of people who follow his channel or watch his streams, but he really does put a lot of work into his channel and his streams anyway.

Chitose honestly didn’t have a lot of interest in Twitch to begin with because he doesn’t play a lot of games. However, between the other guys talking about it, and a girl he’d hooked up with having a huge thing (and talking about it quite a bit) for a Twitch streamer, he figured he’d figure out what the big deal was about it. So, he set up a Twitch channel, using the name Charisma…too bad the only video games that hold much interest for him are H-games, so that’s what he streamed, keeping up a pretty steady (and honestly, quite educational) stream of chatter on the game and everything happening in it. How was he to know that went against the terms and conditions and rules and regulations of the stupid website. His Twitch account is currently suspended.

Dewa doesn’t have a Twitch account, not even to support the other guys. He really has zero interest in Twitch, isn’t huge into video games in general, and thinks the whole thing is a little stupid.

Surprisingly, Eric actually does have a Twitch channel. He’s not great at naming things, so he let a name generator pick out his Twitch handle for him, but he does stream gameplay pretty often. His channel is almost completely dedicated to horror games. Indie or big commercial games, it doesn’t really matter to him, he’ll play any horror-based game and the real hook for his channel isn’t even so much the gameplay itself. It’s that Eric has the most fun just absolutely tearing apart these games, just insulting or making snarky and sarcastic comments about everything he can because horror movies and horror games are normally just so dumb to him, and he enjoys making fun of them.

Fujishima has a Twitch account and most of the time, it’s only used to watch streams and chat. He’s only ever done one stream himself – Stray. The amount he got really invested in that game is honestly a little scary. His Twitch handle is ‘Inugami’, for those curious.

Fushimi honestly does have a soft spot for video games. He hardly ever plays them anymore, because playing them does take him back to all the carefree happy days with Yata so he kind of has a love-hate relationship with playing them. When he does play them, he just kind of wants to lose himself in the game and enjoy his time without thinking about having to talk or explain things or entertain, so the thought of having a Twitch channel or having to stream his gameplay just is so annoying to him.

Wait the idea of oddduck stealing Bruce’s cape is so fucking cute. Does she get to keep it? Or is it confiscated by the big bad bat?

"You can't keep this in your house," Bruce chuckled.

"Why? Lois and Clark already know who you are."

You're on his chest and under his cape now. Having achieved maximum comfort. And given enough time, and something safe to eat, you'd managed to recover your voice.

"It's not safe, Sweetheart," he said gently. He didn't really understand why you wanted to keep it. It was heavy sure. But it wasn't soft or cozy. It was heavy because it was bulletproof.

"Smells like you," you murmur, nuzzling his chest.

And Bruce felt himself melt just a little. He liked being reminded that you wanted him. That you missed him when he wasn't there. That he made you feel safe. "You can keep it for now," Bruce relented.

He had other capes.

"For now?" you ask.

"Until I can have something better made," Bruce clarified. "Something cozy. And soft. My cape isn't exactly good for sleeping with."

"I slept fine," you remind him, smiling a little.

"You were exhausted," he tutted. "I want to have something made."

"You had your cape made-"

"Humor me," he chuckled, kissing your nose.

"Only because you're made of warm," you sigh, laying your head back down. Anything to keep him here a little longer.

Still thinking about oddduck using the bat cape as a blanket. It just fits so perfectly.

Do you think Alfred has cracked and sewn a softer fabric in the inside yet?

"What is-"

"Just open it and find out," Bruce chuckled. You're disheveled and there's a graveyard of mugs and discarded paper scraps littering the floor where you've been- so far as he can tell since sometime this morning. Working diligently on- something. Dragons? Assorted folklore? It was hard to tell.

And it was possible you didn't know yet. You were between projects and technically on a sabbatical. It was irritating you.

But this might help.

And get him his cape back.

He watched you open the box and when you smiled, snuggling into the much softer, heavy mass of black fabric. he nodded to himself. "Come cuddle?"

"How's it smell right?"

"I spayed cologne on it," he said lowering himself onto the floor and picking up the legal pad you'd been frowning at as he tucked you against his side.

"No tech for that too?" you tease.

"None that I was satisfied with," he hummed, unruffled. "Doctor handwriting."

"I think faster than I write."

"I'm surprised you weren't using your recorder."

"The problem with that is I just get progressively more unhinged."

"But someday when people are trying to write your biographies that would be fun."

Bruce Wayne taking care of Oddduck?

"Bruce?"

"Hope you don't mind," he said softly, "I was in town. And I miss you."

"I-no- I just-" you step back to let him into your hotel room and swallow hard. "I- you usually call."

"I would have if I thought you would answer the phone," he hummed, waiting to see where you were at. If you could handle this conversation right now.

He'd been hurt for a couple days. And then angry. But now, standing in front of you and seeing that it's eating you up- it's getting to you and it's just... sad. That one off comment put you so far in your head that you were afraid to even reach out to him.

"I'm sorry I-"

"I know," he said softly. "Clark told me."

You wince, taking another step back and wrapping your arms around yourself. "I'm sorry I know it's stupid I just-"

"It's not stupid," he said, taking that as an invitation to step further into the room, carefully keeping his distance. "I just wish you would have talked to me."

"I'm sorry. I just- I didn't want to bother you you're busy."

"Sweetheart," he murmured, "Come here? Please?" He held his arms out and exhaled slowly when you walked into them. Clinging to him as tightly as you were able. "I'm here, okay?"

"I'm sorry I just I want to kinda but I don't know how to do all this and I can't- I mean I'm not- I'm just me and-" You break off and thud your head against his chest, taking a shaking breath. "I'm sorry."

"Hey," he said squeezing you a little tighter and kissing the top of your head. "Look at me?" He gives you a second, waiting for you to meet his eyes and when you look up, tears welling up, he smiled tenderly. "First of all, you're incredible. "Just you" is everything I never knew I needed-"

"Bruce-"

"Second of all," he continued, "I don't know how to do this either, remember? We're just going to have to figure this out together.

"I should have called."

Bruce wiped tears off your cheeks gently and kissed your forehead, "Absolutely. But- we're here now."

"We?"

"Alfred and Dick are killing time in a museum right now," Bruce explained. "I thought we could all get dinner."

"I'd like that."

Speaking of oddduck - will Bruce ever have a run in with the ex who shall not be named?

"I'm gonna turn you over my knee if you don't stop fidgeting," Bruce rumbled softly bending his head to brush a kiss over your bare shoulder as he set your coffee down.

"Isn't that just an incentive for me not to stop?" you ask. And Bruce can't tell if the innocence in your voice is teasing or not. But the effect is the same. He smirked and sat beside you, politely trying to ignore the ache in his groin.

The sound you'd made when he jokingly snapped you with a kitchen towel had... changed things. It was involuntary. And your face and heated You'd gotten flustered and apologized... But all Bruce could think about was getting you to do it again. Preferably a bunch of times. He'd been daydreaming about it at the most inappropriate times. Bored on patrol? He wondered if you'd like toys. Board meeting? Would you like edging or would it be too much? Golf game going on too long? How would you feel about riding his thigh?

So many possibilities. And he was just considering how to bring it up- asking if you wanted to try some new things- or if you'd ever tried it when you froze.

And Bruce was snapped out of his lazy Saturday coffee run- all thoughts of bending you over his lap evaporating as he tracked where you were looking.

The Ex. And his wife. And their kids.

He put an arm around your shoulder and kissed your head, "Do you want to leave?" he asked. The wife, he swore, was tracking you. But him? So far as Bruce knew he contented himself with sending you lewd messages.

"They might not notice," you murmur.

"If they do I'll handle it," he said gently.

"Bruce-"

"I'll handle it," he said a little more firmly. He wasn't going to let someone who used you and continued to try and use you to talk to you. And sure enough, as he brushed a kiss against your temple, squeezing a little harder when you trembled in anxiety, he noticed.

And when he leered at you, Bruce forced himself to stay still and relax. Beating the fucking into a greasy stain on the tile in front of his kids wouldn't help.

"Oh look, the town whore," his wife said brightly.

"Is that why your husband still sends her dick pics?" Bruce asked, raising an eyebrow. "That last one was... sad."

Should he have said it in front of the kids? Probably not. But now people were watching. And now, she had two choices. Double down or back down. And from the look of mortification on her face, he didn't think she was gonna double down. But he would.

"Honestly it's a miracle you managed to have one kid with that baby carrot you're working with." He whistled softly. "They make pills for limp dick now-"

And he knew he shouldn't be. But when they quickly gathered their drinks and their kids to leave, he was satisfied. And when you giggled in spite of yourself he was thrilled. Now he could go back to his original plan of trying to get you naked and into some very interesting compromising positions.

"You can't keep dodging questions about Bruce Wayne-"

"Why?"

"People want to know about-"

"I'm a public figure but I'm still allowed privacy- so is Bruce for that matter. Until we're fucking in public it's not any body's business."

"First of all, that would probably drive your book sales through the roof-"

"Not because anyone gives half a fuck about the content," you huff. Still seething.

"Honey-"

"Not," you grind out, "My name."

Bruce hovered at the door, not sure if he should just play a bumbling doofus and barge in or not. He knew you had a 'team' designed to keep you from getting too off track. And that ran your social media aside from the odd post that was a video of people doing things in plate armor. Or videos of very large rabbits. But he didn't know until recently how irritating you found it.

Sure. Writing paid your bills. Teaching was fine. It was all your brea and butter. But for the last few weeks he'd been concerned. There was a tenor in your voice that wasn't normally there.

And he wasn't the only one. Lois and Clark both had been worried. Telling him that it was getting harder to drag you out of your house. Or to get you to engage in... anything.

Clark thought it was all the pressure of your books getting a movie deal. Lois thought it was the added media attention. Bruce thought it was probably just... burn out. You'd been working at a frantic pace for years. Books and articles coming out at a break neck pace. Publish or perish taken to a degree that made even prolific historical figures look like complete slackers. It was impressive.

But not exactly sustainable.

You needed a rest. And Bruce had an idea. He just hoped that when he pitched it you'd go for it.

I hope Bruce realizes he can pour millions into trying to make oddduck a blanket that satisfies why she loves the cape but it will never succeed. A weighted blanket out of cashmere won’t sway her bc it doesn’t smell like you and keep her safe like the cape does.

If anyone can figure it out Bruce can.

I love how accurate yet sensitive you are with reader’s issues. The bipolar in scruffyverse, neurodivergence in oddduck, even the depression in batmom. Everything is done balancing the line between giving it the recognition and space it deserves while not dramatizing it, or making it their entire character.

Genuine question bc I don’t want to ask for it while you’re trying to politely decline - will you be doing the “reader thinks Bruce is having an affair” storyline in arranged verse? I saw it’s been mentioned a couple times but didn’t know if you were responding to them in a way that says “nice thought but I’m not writing that 💕” or if I’m overthinking it
