27 on the Oddworld ask game?

27. What piece of lore do you hope makes it into the games?

Before I answer this, keep in mind I have not finished Soulstorm (and have been trying not to spoil it for myself), but there is a lot of lore I imagine is not present in that game either.

With that being said...

There's so much unseen content I'd love to come to life, but a major element I'd like to see explored is the Industrialists using occult methods in hideous ways.

I recall reading something where someone (I think it was Lorne) said they'd do things like make blood sacrifices for business projections. Even if it's rarer or secret, the idea of the dark arts being used is an intriguing distortion that could further expand the spiritual view the games tend to have.

Even if most Glukkons have abandoned their roots, having a few higher-ups who hang on to the old roots like tar on dinosaur bones would be something to see.

This was somewhat hinted at, I believe, with the Gloktigi in Stranger's Wrath, but more elaboration is always welcome.

Shinju fake smiles only when she feels the need to, which isn't very often despite how social her jobs can get. Shinju will gracefully refuse to put on a fake smile for people who try to patronize her, nor does she put on a fake smile when talking to people in a general sense. However, she will put on a fake smile if she has to do it for a photoshoot.))

Tox typed, his sickly smirk hidden behind a screen. He did enjoy his job. The more drama and distress, and money he would get, the more enjoyable. It was even more fun when he could manipulate impatient glukkons, saying things like ‘I’m very busy, it’ll probably take me a week to get through all of my current jobs before I get to yours. Unless of course, you would be willing to pay extra.’ Their reactions to this were priceless; they’d be outraged, and reluctant, but it was rare for them to not give in. Thinking about it all made Tox nasally laugh a little. But, his amused face quickly fell when he saw the new message Ben had sent.

“Thought so. But a slave, huh? How degrading... What’s it like?”

Oddworld Ask Game

Do you have any unpopular opinions?

Much like @mismatched-oddbrothers, I like each of the Oddworld games (other than the Gameboy installments, which I never bothered to play and likely never will). I simply can't hate any of them to the degree that some do. Can’t we get along?

For a more original spicy take, I don't know how unpopular this is, but as much as I love the guy, I think Munch's Oddysee should have had way less Abe - maybe he'd be relegated to being a mentor? I just think Munch deserved time to shine on his own foot, and elaborating on his mechanics would help him in a solo act.
