01/BASICS

02/PHYSICAL TRAITS

Hair Color/Style: Octavia loves her hair. She loves growing it out long and putting it in box braids or twists. She also likes to rock her hair in bantu knots like Scary Spice.  Sometimes she’ll shave it all off and rock a buzzcut and color it highlighter blue. Her usual go-to style is a short pixie cut or a bob, but it never lasts. Hair grows which means it must be changed often. Eye Color: Dark Brown Face Claim: Kiersey Clemons Height: 5′5″ Tattoos: Geometric triangle pattern on left forearm, Stand tall giraffe on right calf, her initials on right ring finger Piercings: Belly button, Four ear piercings on each ear. Used to be five, but Octavia got an infection from her industrial ear piercings and never got it redone. Unique Attributes: Octavia has a grudge against doors. She has a crooked pinky from accidentally slamming finger in the car door at age 11. There are a few scars on the sides of her forearm that are slightly faded after she pushed her grandparents’ glass back porch door open and it came swinging back fast. She put her hands up, but the glass still shattered and cut her.

Positive Traits: Cheerful, Free-thinking, Adventurous  Negative Traits: Impulsive, Obnoxious, Contradictory  Hobbies/Interests: Pranks, Gambling, Pie, Wondering whether Coach gets laid or not, Politics, Languages Insecurities: Octavia loves to believe she is free of any and all insecurities, but the one thought that pops up every now and then is her Fox contract. She’s doled out extra practices and longer runs to counteract her lack of effort towards Exy. Her uni life is a ball of fun and she finally has friends that don’t drift away when she has to move with her parents. If Wymack were to rescind her contract she knows it might be the final straw for her parents.  Quirks/Eccentricities: When Octavia says she loves pie, she means it. It’s not recommended in the diet of a athlete, but who cares about that. Her favorite kind is her grandmother Dolores’s rhubarb, but at school it’s the blueberry that she’s munching down. 04/FAMILY & HOME

Immediate Family: Lucas Dawson (father), Renée Dawson (mother), Sally & Mitchell Dawson (grandparents on father side), Dolores & Marcus Stephens (grandparents on mother side) How do they feel about their family?: Octavia cares and loves her parents, but they are more roadblocks in her fun than anything else. She tells them time after time that they don’t have to watch out for her and can go off on their merry time–even begging them to get another child so that their focus was no longer on her. Although she wishes her parents spent less time on her, she is always happy when they come around to sweep up the consequences of her poor actions.  How does their family feel about them?: Tiring love. So so tiring. Lucas and Renee Dawson joked during Octavia’s childhood that her rambunctiousness kept them physically fit, but that’s no lie. Often they chased after her when she slipped her hand out of their grasp to go run around the base and now they chase after her to simply stay out of trouble. The little bits of joy they get come from seeing a great report card, but good grades only get so far. They worry constantly that they’ll get a phone call from the University’s administrators about her actions and she’ll be expelled just like in high school, but so far it’s been a lucky break for them.  Pets: Sadly none. Octavia had a couple beta fishes in the past, but they didn’t last long. She also tried having a pet squirrel, but the rents nipped that in the bud quick.  Where do they live?: Military bases. Lucas and Renee are active members of the navy personnel and are constantly moving due to their jobs. Yokosuka tends to be the base they live at most of the time, but they’ve also lived in Washington state, Vermont, Oahu, and Sicily. Description of their home: Typical American dream home for every base housing they’ve stayed in. Beige exterior, beige interior, cool tones for the furniture. Nothing special or interesting about it in Octavia’s opinion.  Description of their bedroom: Octavia has stuck to a minimalist style when she lives on the bases, making it easier for her to take her stuff to the next place. However, both sets of grandparents have a room for her that she has decorate from head to toe. In Madison, Wisconsin where the Dawsons live she has made her room become a 70s pastiche with bright orange carpeting, wood panel walls and bean bag chairs from tag sales. In Berkley, California with the Stephens her room has posters spread across the walls. Celebs, sports teams, cities, any sort of kitschy/cliche stuff that should be on walls.
