OK!!! SO. this AU takes the path of what Forest Fire AU was meant to be before FF became. well. FF. anyways Yeah!!! FF was meant to be an AU where Bug joined the corrupts but then she burned down god and murdered Gold and pissed off Tsavorite and um Yeah!

anywho. its called Octagram AU And i love it so much already

still gotta figure stuff out but what i got rn is that:

she ends up joining the corrupts out of spite for the Heroes -- and also to get away from Redd

its kinda like a found family situation

the corrupts stage aer using corrupt tree pieces maybe. most likely yeah. she doesn't have as much a connection to the tree obviously to where it wouldn't hurt her like the other heroes- alongside the fact that the pieces still have some sort of Tree Power™ in them which also contributes to the corrupt tree piece not hurting her, and staging her. if that makes any sense

maybe the corrupts try and call her Wasp (or Octagram, thatd be funny) as like a fake corrupt name or smth but they just end up going "fuck it" and just calling her by her actual name 😭😭

thinking. about Octagram!Bug vs Gold level animation (but i will not do that, i know for a fact that i Do Not Have The Dedication For All Of That /silly)

itd be interesting that about midway through she does start to uncorrupt, which turns some of the attacks a dull yellow occasionally; but shes clinging onto the corruption so it flips back and forth between pink and yellow

she doesnt want to uncorrupt, the corrupts are the source of the only positive attention she's had in a while and she doesn't want to let that go, like, ever.

'sides- these are the bitches that stole her life from her. this is the bitch that stole her life from her. she wont go down to him of all people damnit!!! /silly

but after a while it gets harder and harder to cling onto it - so maybe itd go full yellow at some point way near the end so she's just trying to go the fuck OFF. anything to try and get back to what she longed for, even if that possibility is long gone.

and honestly her different attacks would be so randomly-timed and spontaneous because shes just, trying to get Gold. thats her only goal, alongside fighting purification. she's angry, she isnt thinking straight enough to fully plan out her attacks; shes just winging it.

Bug sat perched upon a branch, silently fidgeting with the double piston she was given as a weapon. Initially it'd been quite heavy and hard to drag around, and Bug could barely make her way towards The Land of Spheres while dragging it around (at some point she’d debated just ditching it)- but some of the corrupts around here were quite kind when she’d first gotten here, and were able to figure out how to sheath it, in a way. Simply push the ends together.

Bug smiled to herself as she recalled the name of the corrupt who’d figured it out for her: Oracle, she’d been told. The kid couldn’t talk, but she sure was smart!

It was a little strange, having people be nice to her lately… But it was… Nice.

Wondering how Oracle was doing, Bug— hey, wait!

Flashes followed by a pink trail of octagrams entered Bug’s sight, and she dropped from the branch.

“Cyanide!” She called out.

A robotic squeak reached her ears, and a robotic diamond soon came dashing towards her. Bug had almost no time to brace herself before she was crashed into at full speed- she was nearly knocked over by the force, but she managed to keep herself and the diamond upright.

“Hey!” Bug squeaked out playfully, “watch it!”

Then, she paused as she noticed Cyanide’s expression. Why- why did she look so… Why- huh?

“Hey- are you… Okay?”

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU’RE LEAVING-?!” Bug cried, her eyes wide as she stared at Cyanide, completely flabbergasted.

“I must go be the Hero I was meant to be. :(“ Cyanide replied. Her voice was quiet, and her gaze was locked onto the ground.

Bug felt her heart shatter. Cyanide- no, no, she couldn’t be. Right-?! This was some kinda prank or somethin’- it HAD to be!

“But- but what about me?!” Bug protested. “What about us?! I thought we were sisters!”

“We are sisters!” Cyanide yelped, finally looking up at Bug. She looked a little panicked upon Bug saying that, like she thought she’d accidentally implied otherwise. “Circusic said that–”

“Circubit doesn’t know shit!” Bug shot back, “he doesn’t play by the rules! He doesn’t follow Boss’s orders! All he does is go off and do his own thing! He doesn’t know anything! He—” Bug felt her heart drop. She’d snapped at Cyanide- she hadn’t meant to do that.

Silence.

“...I believed you would understand…”

“I- I do, but I-”

“Then let me go to be a Hero. TmT”

“It is hurting me as much as it is hurting you..."

“...”

“Bug?”

“…Then go.” Bug could feel her voice breaking. “Go be the Hero you are meant to be.” She knew it sounded a bit begrudging- but it was genuine. If Cyanide wanted to go with the pures- she couldn’t stop her. She wouldn’t stop her. She just…

She wished she could stay.

She looked up at Cyanide. “Just please be alright. Do not let them hurt you. Okay? I swear to fucking god if they hurt you—”

“I will be ok! <:)” Cyanide squeaked, a reassuring yet embarrassed-that-Bug-was-being-so-protective expression on her screen.

A veil of silence fell over them, before Bug pulled Cyanide into a hug. She knew Cyanide couldn’t hug back. But she also knew that if she could, she definitely would.

Fuck.

She pulled away. “Please, stay safe. Who knows- I might come join you.”

Cyanide nodded and gave her one last look, then dashed away into the distance.

“I might come join you…” Bug repeated to herself.

That was a lie and she knew it.

SO!!!

shapes' Power Weapons™ (or whatever tf theyre called) are usually like,,,,put away-able. right. like how Iris and Pentellow can put away their sword and bow respectively into just Thin Air

going off the thing that only shapes with a connection to the trees(???) have a weapon. Bug cant put hers away like that because of her weak connection. so she just has to drag it around.

which, as i mentioned in that story thing i wrote, was a goddamn PAIN at first - imagine having to lug around a double piston thing thats taller than you 😭

she did find out how to sheath it in a way tho (Thanks Oracle! (OC cameo!!! /silly)) so now its easier to carry 🙏🙏
