FP1:
Several drivers already cutting it very close to the barriers and ripping off advertising.
ZHO ripped off more than that and lost his end plate.
Which Charles promptly drove over and then got it stuck under his car, before a red flag could be called to clean up the debris.
Pierre was having PU issues and ended up being able to put in only a handful of laps
P1: HAM | P2: PIA | P3: RUS

FP2: Charles was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 !!

P1: LEC / P2: HAM / P3: ALO

FP3:
Charles was again on fire and finished at the top of the list. I honestly can't recall anything else happening!
P1: LEC / P2: VER / P3: HAM

Quali:
In Q1 plastic from advertising had wrapped around Charles's front wing end plate, messing up the aerodynamics and leading to much slower laps than anticipated.
Shock exit for PER as he placed P18 with only the Saubers behind him.
GAS managed to make it to Q3 much to Pierre's delight as he was shouting on the radio when told he was P5 in Q2. Teammate OCO ended in P11.
Bad luck seemed to follow Charles again as he reported something moved in the pedals, but he still took provisional pole.
Another super lap in the final stages of Q3 gave Charles his third pole in Monaco with an incredible 1:10:27.
Haas drivers HUL and MAG qualified P12 and P15 respectively, but ended up getting disqualified because they changed their wing and did no measure the height correctly. This meant a pit lane start for both of them.

Petit's Race Notes:
Ah, where to begin? Oh, I know!
CHARLES LECLERC WINS THE 2024 MONACO GRAND PRIX!!!!!!

Fingers and toes crossed at the start, but Charles was quick off the line. But behind him chaos unfolded...
Carlos bumped into Oscar and got himself a puncture which led to a yellow flag.
Next Checo and Kevin collided as K-Mag tried to squeeze through and Perez did not give him any space. PER hit the wall, got hit by MAG again, and then HUL also got hit for good measure.
The end result was that PER's car was reduced to the survival cell, debris was scattered all over the race track, both Haas's were out, and we had a 45-minute red flag for clean up and barrier repairs.
Meanwhile elsewhere on track OCO drove into GAS launching himself in the air and damaging both Alpines in the process. Gasly's car was repairable, but Ocon was out. He also received a 5-place grid penalty for Montreal and 2 points on his license. And Alpine is even rumoured to be considering having him sit out the next race...
With the red flag thrown before all cars entered sector 2, the order was reset for a second start.
Which meant Carlos (who'd been able to make it back to the garage) started again in P4, and Charles had to have another good start to keep his position.
This time all went well, and we were in for 75 laps of anxiety (Charles fans) / boredom (everyone else).
George (in mediums) backed up the pack, so it was 🔴🟡🔴🟡 at the front (McLarens in their special yellow Senna livery).
ALO led his usual DRS train - under the assumption he was P10 (found out after the finish that he was actually P11).
The remaining 16 (!!!) cars all made it to the finish line without further incidents.
Pierre Gasly scored his first point of the season.
There were only 6 pit stops the entire race.
After much nail biting and some lovely team radio sound bites, Charles came across the finish line and FINALLY won his home Grand Prix! 🙌
Not a dry eye in the house at the podium celebrations! The royal family was elated, with Prince Albert II crying, Charles's football buddies pumping their fists in the air, and the Prince also getting in on the champagne spraying.
Oscar was the only non-Ferrari man on the podium, but having been recently "adopted" by Charles, he was part of the family!
Watching on below the podium: girlfriend Alex, Mum Pascale, brothers Lorenzo (with girlfriend Charlotte) and Arthur, Joris, John Elkann, Andrea, Nicolas Todt, and the entire Ferrari team, with Ale lifting the P1 sign over his head! The Monaco/Italy anthem combo hadn't sounded like this since Monza 2019! 😍
Charles has already told Bryan over team radio that he wanted everyone to stay for celebrations, and celebrate they did - well into the night!
Fred and Charles also made good on their agreement to jump into the harbour (originally from 2018 when it was about scoring points).
Charles continues his streak of top 4 finishes this season, and is now only 31 points behind Max in the WDC.
Top 3: P1: LEC | P2: PIA | P3: SAI
Fastest lap: Lewis Hamilton
Driver of the Day: Charles Leclerc
Fastest pit stop: Red Bull/Max Verstappen (2:10)

f1 race tier list 2024 edition
Ok. So, I am going to be making an F1 tier list of the races I've watched so far this year. Let me know your opinions, but dont be mean. I am just a girl.
We will be skipping Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Australia because I only want to do races I've personally watched. But I will be watching the race highlights while I'm writing this.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Starting off with the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
Fun fact because why not: I did not actually see this race just heard it live (I couldn't log into ESPN)
Here is an actual fact now: Suzuka was completed in the '60s as a permanent race track, but it didn't have its first GP until 1987, and Lewis Hamilton holds the lap record with a 1:30.983
Completed in 2019.
5 red lights.
First lap crash between Daniel Riccardo and Alex Albon
⋆˙⟡Safety car ⋆˙⟡
Looks to be Danny's fault
⋆˙⟡ Red flag ⋆˙⟡
Restart on lap 3
French cival war as per
Lap 5 good overtake from the inside by George Russell, even better from Yuki on lap 13 going around the outside of the Alpine into turn 7 (I think)
A good case of team orders from Mercedes. George taking p5 from Lewis on lap 14.
A pitline straight drag race from Lando and Lewis into the first corner. Lando takes the longer line and comes out ahead.
Mercedes once again proved its falloff during a race last year. Well, except for the cold, apparently…
Lap 18 Red Bull and its early season dominance. Love them, but I'm glad that stopped much more exciting. Dare I say they should have listened to Checo. But I'm not a boss, just a girl.
Lap 19, looking at the Lewis and Carlos battel, something apparent throughout all the season, but that's not what I meant to bring up. I just wanted a moment of silence for the old Ferrari livery before all the little stupid blue stickers covered it and its drivers.
…..
Ok, that's enough. On to the next laps
Lap 23 is a huge pitlane battle between K-mag, Botass, Mr. Freedom (Logan) Yuki, and Stroll. With Ocon getting the jump of the century (not actually, let me know what is your jump of the century)
Mine might be that guy to that one judge
And Yuki getting out ahead, but Kevin coming in first; not hard when you're pitting against a Sauber and a Haas.
In lap 26, they just showed an overtake from the Ferrari's back cam. Wow, I miss the old rear-wing
Ferrari a message for you.
Do better.
Lewis can't be seen in that car.
At 444 words before writing this, its a sign
From who, idk but a sign nonetheless
Oh, and Charles went wide and lost a place
Lap 34. Yuki Tsunoda, my goat.
Logan Sargeant off track
OH MY GOD, MY SHAYLA, OH MY SHAYLA
Lap 44. Ferrari V Mclaren, another common theme throughout the season.
Lap 46. Ferrari V Self, common again. Ferrari, I love you (I say while screaming into my pillow, crying about all the loss)
George Russell last lap overtake on Oscar to take p7.
Wowowo Max Verstappen p1 and Checo p2
*insert Dutch national anthem*
And Carlos Sainz p3
The rest as follows
Lec
Nor
Alo
Rus
Pia
Ham
Tsu
Hul
Str
Bot
Oco
Gas
Sar
Zho, Ric, and Alb all out.
Pretty good. Tbh dont remember it all too well. But I'll rate it.
Overtakes:6/10
Excitement:4/10
Track: 8/10
Overall: 18/30 or 60%
I will put it in B tier
Let me know what else I should grade on.
ooh, and I'll also keep track of safety cars and red flags. let me know your Japanese GP highlights.
Thanks for listening to me yap or reading it, I mean.
xoxo, myself

OCO Order - Trade with two Orders Simultaneously and Manage Your Risks
Today, many traders are attracted towards crypto investments due to high potential returns. In order to invest in the crypto trading market, it’s important for a trader to have enough knowledge about the market and trading strategies. And, this is the reason why crypto exchange like Binance offers a lot of interesting features and order types. These features help traders to generate profits in long term. One such order type attracting the traders is OCO Order.

Now the question is, what is an OCO Order?
OCO stands for One-Cancels-the-Other order which allows traders to place two orders at the same time and cancel one order automatically whenever the other order is executed. This is an effective tool to secure gains in the market.
OCO order is a combination of two orders which can be used simultaneously on Binance including a limit order and a stop-limit order. But whenever you place an OCO order, the execution of only one order is possible. This means you can manage your risk by placing a take profit order and then stop-loss order at the same time. By using OCO orders Binance, you automate most of the trading automatically and reduce the need to actively monitor the trade.
The most common orders which can be used as OCO orders are:
Stop-limit order- An order that helps you to manage risks. This order closes your position, locks in losses, and then prevents losses.
Take-profit- This order locks in profits
Example
Let’s understand this order with an example:
Suppose the current market price of any crypto asset say Stock X is $100. Now, you can place an OCO order with Taking Profit at $120 and Stop Loss at $80.
If the market goes perfectly well and hits the $120 mark then, the Take Profit option will be executed. But at the same time, the Stop Loss order will be cancelled automatically.
And, imagine if the market doesn’t go well, and the price hits $80, then a stop loss order will be executed and at the same time take profit order will be cancelled out.
Placing an OCO order
The very first step to place an OCO order is placing a primary order i.e. Take Profit order. As an investor, it’s time to head to the crypto trading platform and input all the required details. Once you are done, it’s time to select an OCO order from the available order types under the option advanced order or conditional order.
After placing a primary order, it’s time to enter secondary order. For this order, you can add conditions like Trailing take Profit, trailing limit sell, trailing stop, etc.
Once you are done, there will be a preview available. Click on confirm and let the system works for you.
There are two main purposes for placing an OCO order:
Managing risks in open positions
Entering either a long or short trade following a breakout
How OCO order works in crypto exchanges like Binance?
As mentioned above, OCO orders help traders to reduce their risks. Usually, a trader sets an OCO order when the market is highly volatile. Otherwise, the trader has to wait for a long before any of the orders work.
However, high volatility is also a drawback for this order type. But, how? Let’s understand it with an example:
Imagine that the crypto trading market is highly volatile. The trader has placed a buy stop order, and expecting that the market will rise soon. And on the other side, he places a sell stop order, considering the changes in the downtrend, or the buy limit order considering a rebound strategy.
However, after the buy stop order was triggered, the deterioration in the market occurred. Here in this scenario, the pending orders will allow the trader to open positions without even monitoring the market.
All this means that the trader could miss that moment whenever the market moves in an opposite direction. As there is no stop-loss, there are chances that you may lose your investments.
High volatility is the reason for this situation, and therefore, it’s better to use the OCO order smartly. For this, you must be pretty sure that the market will form a trend soon and it won’t turn around until it reaches a specific point.
OCO orders are beneficial to those traders who want to limit their risks or those who trade with time constraints. With an OCO order, the orders for your take profit and stop loss levels are taken simultaneously, such that you have predefined the levels of rewards and risks.
If one of these levels hits in the trade, the other one will be canceled automatically. For example, with a long position, a stop-loss order will be placed below the market to limit the losses, and a limit order would be placed just above the market to close the trade to take profit.
When are the OCO orders beneficial?
OCO orders on Binance or any other exchange are beneficial for the traders if they don’t have time to watch the charts constantly, and are unable to react to the market as the price action unfolds.
In such conditions, you could use an OCO order so that your reaction to a certain price is pre-determined. Placing this order type will allow traders to take advantages of such opportunities automatically. One of the best ways to use OCO orders is to use resistance and support levels.
If there is a strong downward trend in the market, and you think that the price will move down, you could request a buy order well just below the support level. And, also you can place a buy order above the support level with an OCO order when there is a short position.

Baku 2024 race notes (with a Charles bias)
Most cars start on mediums, Lando, Alex on hards for reverse one stopper strat
Charles holds p1 + Oscar p2 after the start
Lance has a puncture, he stopped and fell to p20
Per jumped Sai at the start to p3
Lando jumped from p15 to p13, then overtook Hulk to p12
Yuki retired, he was the one to collide with Lance
Charles pushing one FL after another
Ollie got overtaken by Lando and then got a team order to let Hulk in front
L11: Franco is the first to pit > p15
L12: Alo, Bot stop, fall to p14 and p20
Oscar struggling with rears, plan B
L14: Ver, Rus, Ham, Per pit > p10, p12, p18, p6
Plan A for both Ferrari cars for now
L15: Ollie pits and falls to p16
Charles pits to cover the undercut from Oscar, falls to p2 in front of Alex (yet to pit, reversed strategy, started on hards)
Carlos pits too, falls to p6 behind Lando
L19: Per overtakes Alb to p3
Piastri in Charles' drs already
L23: Sai overtakes Nor to p5, then also Alb to p4 the following lap
Oscar overtook Charles who stayed in his drs ever since, 5 tenths away on L28
L32: Alex finally pits > p10
L34: Rus>Ver to p6
L38: Lando finally stopped for M> p7
L47: Stroll retired with a brake problem
Charles dropped off and Per in his drs
Perez tried overtaking but Charles stayed ahead, then Carlos tried from behind (said he was going for p2) they collided with Checo > VSC race ending
Based on onboards, to me it looked like Carlos was streering towards left, but according to stewards it was a race incident with both at fault equally
There were some VSC infringement investigations after the race that ended in warnings only (Ver, Gas, Oco, Hul)
Results: 1 Pia, 2 Lec, 3 Rus somehow, 4 Nor, 5 Ver, 6 Alo, 7 Alb, 8 Col, 9 Ham, 10 Bea, 11 Hul, 12 Gas, 13 Ric, 14 Zho, 15 Oco, 16 Bot
DNF: Per, Sai, Str, Tsu
DOTD: Pia
FL: Nor
Fpit: Sauber (lmao)

I'm sorry for being dumb, I don't have access to f1tv and the team radios 😭, but would George have really gotten third? I've seen some people claim he wasn't even close to it, but then I don't get why he would lie about it in the press?
in short: yes.
without his visit to the escape road, he was basically guaranteed p3.

this was the order right after the pit stop, when he was the highest placed car on the inters. he went a long stint on the hards, they gambled well, and waited for the rain to be able to box and overcut the likes of OCO and HAM. and it completely paid off. he wouldn't have been a danger to VER or ALO because the gap was too big there, but with the ferraris still yet to box, he was net p3, easily, with a 4 second gap to OCO. (all this with an 8 second pit stop btw...) so yeah, he was on course for a podium 🥲
he also apologized to the team straightaway after the flag on the radio. it sucks, but it is what it is. other than that, his pace was as good as it could have been
and you're not being dumb dw ❤️
