5 July 2020. Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. 

Today we mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS, in a year when it was needed more than ever as the nation responds to COVID-19. Today, The Duke and Duchess visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn to thank staff for their efforts in helping their community. Whether you are existing staff, former staff members who came out of retirement, volunteers or key workers - we thank you for the resilience, perseverance and hope you’ve shown our nation.

These two were out and about! Together! I really missed them. And yes they’re holding little gifts for the Cambridge kids 😍 Have a closer look see below 

I believe this is their first joint engagement since lockdown restrictions have been eased in the UK. 

From my understanding they were also celebrating 40 years of the Queen Elizabeth hospital in King’s Lynn. 

And now my favorite part, the fashion! 

This is not my favorite outfit. It really missed the mark for me when it could have been so chic like the blue Alessandra Rich dress. The dress is Beulah London, the “Shalini” midi dress. Its 100% silk crepe de chine in a floral print but I don’t know what it is about this fabric that lacks fluidity to make this chic and not matronly. Also, the epaulets...just no.  So this dress is a really really big no. Can you bring back the sheaths and pencil skirts Kate? Pretty please? 

On her feet are her navy Rupert Sanderson Malory heels. And we finally got a good shot on her new Patrick Mavros earrings!  

These are the Ocean Tides Milky Quartz Earrings In 18ct Gold and were mistakenly identified to be the silver earrings before as we never got a good look at them until now. The earrings are describe as on Patrick Mavros’ website: 

We have taken inspiration from the alluring and tranquil colours of the Indian Ocean to create these cabochon earrings with milky quartz. Expertly set and polished stones dangle elegantly from carefully crafted sea urchins.
